My intention was to only have my Sonic serviced for an oil/filter change. Once there I realized I also needed to have my tires rotated. Since I only made the initial appointment for the oil change I was hesitant about having to schedule another time for the tire rotation. David Hingst (Service Advisor) was able to have both items taken care of at one time. I was in and out in no time. Great service, THANKS.

I was very impressed with Remy Moore for finding a truck for me. You were my 8th dealer, the other dealer's were just basically trying to sell from their lot or real close to home. I had given up buying a 2016 and was going to wait to order a 2017, because I couldn't find anything close to what I wanted. I was also impressed with Jeff St. Peter. I took delivery of a new "demo" Chevy SS which I love. I stopped at the service because when I went to wipe down the engine cover the paint was flaking off. I was impressed with solution offered by your service tech Rodney Price and the service advisor Justin Edgar. Rather than make me have to come back for a warranty replacement engine cover they took the new plastic cover from the showroom floor and put it on my car. They wrote up the warranty order and planned to replace the showroom part with the new one when it arrived. This proactive decision by your staff saved me time and I drove away happy. Since then I've recounted this story several times to family and friends. I look forward to continued top notch service from Wally Edgar. Great job guys!

After having missed my scheduled appointment on Tuesday afternoon, I pulled into Wally Edgar about 5 PM to apologize and asked if I could scheduled another time. The attendant looked in back and said that he thought that they could accommodate me immediately if I wished. I did, and they did! I was pleased to wait in their very nice waiting room and about 30 minutes later was called to pick up my car. That's what I call excellent service.

The service department at Wally Edgar is horrible. They are not very knowledgeable, they take way too long to fix your vehicle, and they are rude.I purchased a new truck from them and the transmission started slipping within a week.Long story short, it took them over 3 weeks to fix it, (they should have replaced it), and when I told the service guy that I wasn't "completely satisfied" with the service, he tried to charge me for the loaner car. He was visibly upset.More recently, I had a problem with an On-Star recall. I called them for service and they had no knowledge of the recall... which is amazing to me. I hung up and found another dealer.I have been buying cars here for over 15 years, and because of the Service Department, I found a new dealership.

In February I came into Wally Edgar Chevrolet after my car broke down. I needed to purchase a vehicle that day so that I could return to work the next day. Jeff Anderson, the Chevy Bowtie Guy, was invaluable. He helped me compare my options within my budget and answered all of my questions (all billion of them). He gave me his honest opinion, even if it meant a lower sticker price for me and after I picked a vehicle he took the time to show me all of the features and make sure I knew how to use them. I will definitely be going back to Wally Edgar for all my needs.

My husband and I are in our 50's, have raised three kids, and as a result have purchased a lot of cars over the past 30 years. We live in Indiana and drove 3.5 hours to get to your dealership to look at a car we'd found online. We have never had a car buying experience like the one we had at Wally Edgar Chevrolet. Ziad was the most wonderful car salesperson we've ever had the pleasure of working with. He was very busy when we were working with him, but was the epitome of a great multi-tasker who never left you feeling like you were just sitting around waiting for someone to get back with you. He was pleasant, kind, friendly, efficient. We never felt like he was pressuring us into anything. This was our best car buying experience ever!

I had been stopping at several dealers within 60 miles of my home. I also did some searching online also. When I would look at the desired model at other dealers they wanted the same price for a LS model with upwards to 30,000 miles or even a model year older. When I would mention the prices I observed online at Wally Edgar and ask why that particular dealer priced so high I could not get them give me a straight answer or a budge on the price. After thinking about this and searching daily for two weeks, I ended up purchasing at Wally Edgar. So happy my desired vehicle did not sell as I took some time to take the plunge. Salesman was Ziad Hamameh who stayed over scheduled close to let us look at the veh and answer questions. Finance manager Chris was very helpful in explaining all the options for added warranties and insurances. He let us pick what we wanted and could afford without the pressure that I have experienced elsewhere. The next day we were proud Owner's of a 2014 Chevrolet Captiva LT. Ziad helped go over the SUV with me so that I knew how to use all the added features of this veh. This is a used SUV with less than 10,000 miles but priced lower than competitors. We were treated like this was a new higher priced SUV by our salesman Ziad. My husband is a GM Retiree but I wanted this veh so we did not use the employee discount. I will always do my research to find the best vehicle for the dollar spent but I will certainly check Wally Edgar first as I could have saved myself tons of time by going there first. If the service dept is as well tuned as the used car dept I will make the 28 mile drive to have my veh serviced properly. Thank you so much Ziad for your fast responses and care given to my myself and my husband.

I scheduled an oil change and arrived at the appointment on time. I was told a tire rotation was also free of charge and that it would take 45 minutes for everything. The Service person gave me a brief tour of the waiting room and said they would call me when my car was ready. He mentioned that when the car was done they would park it in the area just past the doors. Well it seemed busy that day and I had never been there before but after two hours I went out to the Service Garage to find my car sitting the designated done parking area. Looking around for the Service Person I originally saw (I have his business card & he will never touch my car again when I get my next oil changes) and he was sitting in a break room. I had to ask another person there why I wasn't called that my car was ready. He had to page my service guy and his response was "why didn't you check on your car earlier"? Well. when someone tells me they will let me know when let me know when my car is done I assume they will do just that. To top it off, some other service guy jumps in my car and proceeds to drive it off - where I don't know? Maybe he was going to give it another oil change and tire rotation? It was like bad comedy as they had to chase him down to get my car back. Turns out the word "wait" was left off my service request.. If I had a choice I would never go back and get my oil changed elsewhere. I was a bit under the weather and almost cancelled the appointment but I needed the oil changed. Trying to blame it on me was not a good thing - next time I am sitting in the passenger seat the whole time the care is serviced. I wished I had just walked out and took the car home with my extra set of keys I had and made them wonder why no paperwork was signed. Also, when I brought my car home for the first time the windshield solvent was bone dry. Not sure exactly what the deal is with this Service Department but I will now never recommend anyone buy a car from this dealer. My car was done at 3:51 pm and I didn't leave until almost 5pm. I am sure they would have let me sit there until 7pm when they closed had I not went in to see what was taking so long.

My other half got a job in AL. We had to get another vehicle. Tom Blythe is my normal salesperson. Guess he is on medical. This is my 7th that I have purchased from Wally Edgar. Jim S. stepped up to help me and my significant other purchase a 2014 Chevy Equinox. Normally I do my research and tell Tom what I am looking for . Did not even have a day until we start shopping. One thing I di not like is that Jim let me test drive a LS Equinox after I told him, distinctly that I wanted a least an LT. Came back next day and then he showed me an LT. I have credit issues after this recession (after 8 GMAC loans and 1 repo). Did not think I would ever get a new car again. Jim got me a 2014 Equinox LT. I am happy. Hope he is happy. LOVE my CHEVY.

Service With A Smile Recently, the Oakland Press published a list of the Best Establishments in the county. Represented were restaurants, hair salons, spas and landscaping companies to name just a few. Readers of the Oakland Press offered their votes for businesses which in their opinion offered top notch services. The list becomes a Whos Who Of Exemplary Service. As such, there is a business that I have frequented since 1988 which I think deserves a special recognition. I am referring to the service department of Wally Edgar Chevrolet in Lake Orion. Over the years I have taken our automobiles to the service department for warranty work and the occasional checkup including oil changes and tire rotations. As the former Director of the Michigan Quality Council in the Governor Engler administration responsible for quality and customer service, I have a keen eye for companies that meet or exceed customer expectations. In my opinion, the talented service team at Wally Edgar Chevrolet has consistently provided first class service. Just the other day I had occasion to have a shaking problem diagnosed on my Malibu. It was nearing closing time at the dealership but that did not deter the team from identifying the problem and fixing it. What makes this so remarkable is that all the General Motors dealerships are currently handling the recall of thousands of cars in light of the ignition key problem and are no doubt overwhelmed with customers. The Wally Edgar team however gave no indication that my service request was burdensome and in fact it was handled with professionalism, courtesy and speed. As such, I want to single out the role model service team at Wally Edgar Chevrolet for their commitment to quality and world class customer service! On April 23rd I will have my Chevy Cruze for 1 year. I have to tell you that it's been a great year with my new Cruze. I love the color, the mileage, it's fun to drive and so reliable. I have my 2 grandchildren with me in the car alot and they have plenty of room in the back seat. It's so important to me to have a very safe and dependable car. Also, our salesperson Bob Williamson is the BEST!!! He has sold trucks to my son Craig and my niece Katie and my my cousin will be coming in soon to buy a car from from him. I went in for an oil change as I typically do and was made aware of a recall on my traverse that I hadn't heard of yet. We scheduled an appointment and I went back for the fix and as normal in the service area I received exceptional care. I am always greeted with a smile and a genuine - how are you. Never forced or fake. The cashier is always pleasant even at the end of e day, and my traverse is always clean!

I leased a 2014 Malibu LTZ my second from Wally Edgar,Unsure I would do as well as with my first, Jay Chaiser was the sales agent who helped me through all of my inquires and cross checkings of info. He showed patience whether it was the cruize or malibu, ect. that I asked about, in what they offered or how I could make the payment work for me and was satisfied that I did the best for my budget, hopefully, Wally Edgar as well. Everyone one at the dealership involved was pleasant, also. Opposed to the short drive of a mile and a half from my home,to my last dealership of over 30 years, I've found it worth my time and to use your service department with satisfaction.Hopefully this relationship will continue in the future all things staying at this standard or surprise me with even more incentives.

I have been wanting to buy a car with better gas mileage for awhile. My dad and I have been to many dealerships before this one. I always left disappointed, there were no prices on the vehicles and not a salesman to be found. From the second my dad and I pulled into the parking lot we were greeted by Tyler Gratsch. He was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. I never once felt rushed or pressured. I found a car that I liked and even in the freezing cold weather he stood outside and answered every question I could have possibly had with a smile on his face. After the test drive, I fell in love with it. It was late Saturday and the dealership was getting ready to close. I told him we would return on Tuesday to put a deposit on the car. Before we left we received the car fax and his direct number just in case we had any questions. Tuesday came and I decided to just buy the car. Tyler had the day off on Wednesday and offered to come in on his day off so I would be able to pick up the car. Since he was so extremely nice to my family and myself there was no way we were making him come in on his day off. Having Secretary of State at dealership it made it extremely easy to handle paperwork. My parents said they have never have purchased a car so smoothly before. He was so easy and genuine to talk too while we waited for the paperwork. I couldn't have asked for a better salesman. My parents will definitely being going back there when they purchase their next car. There isn't one negative thing to be said about this dealership!

What a great team! I had to drop off my van for service and needed a ride home. The guys that drove me back and forth were friendly and fun. I never felt uncomfortable with them - they talked about family, weather, politics and it made the ride go by quickly! I enjoyed their company and friendliness. The service I received on my van was quiet involved, but still finished in a timely manner. They were good at explaining the repairs to me so that I could understand what was done. They didn't try to pressure me to fix anything else. I was really pleased.

I'll start of by saying my buying experience was pleasant, Ryan Fellows was great! Back in April I bought a 2013 Malibu--which I really like. I'm not someone who complains or writes reviews, but I found this situation to be different. When you expect something to be fixed the first time around and three 3 tries later seems to call for a review. Anyway, come October someone had rear-ended it so I took it back to the dealership thinking there wouldn't be any problems, everything would get fixed and taken care of. Well, that wasn't the case! They called and said it was ready to be picked up. I went and got my car, got it home (an hour or so away) and realized they failed to install the backup camera, or didn't properly install it. I called and informed them, I took it back to have it installed. I then noticed a couple days later the rear bumper panel wasn't flush with the rest of my car. Called them... went back out to have it fixed and they said someone didn't properly install a clip or forgot. Upon the second visit, I told the body shop that there is a bunch of squeaking which sounded like it was coming from the window and they said it was because of the clip...okay....gave them the benefit of the doubt. I Left the dealership, still massive amounts of squeaking (sounded like an old jimmy). Took it back for the THIRD time and the body shop said, "it had nothing to do with them or being rear-ended" and pawned it off on the service department. Mind you, the body shop manager seemed very put out. Okay, I have never worked on cars nor do I know that much about them, however, I know when someone gets rear-ended it doesn't just damage the outside, there could be internal damaged and things are probably going to be tweaked! I wasn't looking for any kind of handout by any means, I just wanted my not even a year old car fixed, but to give me a free oil change and a gift basket of pasta was ridiculous and a joke. Do your jobs and take care of people who spend 25,000 on a car! Never again will I take my car there for body work-EVER. The body shop dropped the ball! Thankfully, I dealt with Dan, in SERVICE, who took control of the situation and was very pleasant! Thanks to those who helped-- DAN and RYAN.

I really like the vehicle but the courteous down to earth approach from Ziad was the reason I bought the vehicle. There was no rehearsed irritating phoney closes, he was the consummate professional conscientiously answering every question I had in an expeditious manner. I was there to see my options, I already had another car in mind but wanted to see if they could do anything better. The salesman was insanely rude, I felt as if I was looked down upon. He told me so many contradicting things compared to the other several Chevrolet dealers I'd been too. When I said what car I wanted and my price range. He said absolutely not and laughed. Saying the only thing he could do is a 100$ over what the other dealers could. He went and talked to a co-worker, thinking I couldn't hear them, laughing at my price range. Every single thing I said he made me feel stupid about, yet I already knew he was full of it and just simply unwilling to look. They also lost my friends, who were long term customers of theirs, because of the horrible service. In the end, we are all there to make a deal, I am not sure how they even make a sale when they are just simply unwilling to look at options.

Just getting routine maintenance done. Most dealers usually give me good service but it always seems that when talking to the service reps that its an inconvenience to them when asking questions or describing exact details of the work needing to be performed. I have been trained as a mechanic and can rebuild most any vehicle but don't do it for a living so I need to bring in vehicles because I don't own some of the pricy equipment needed for certain repairs. Point being I know exactly what I want done and will give them specific info to get the correct work done as well as info that will actually help the mechanic get the job done faster. Most service reps seem annoyed by this but Pat at wally Edgar was fabulous and really listened and answered questions. A remarkable asset to this dealership plus he was friendly and attentive. Which made me want to use this place for all my visits. I may even bring my dodge and Chrysler vehicle here too. Great service experience. Hope this happens on my next visit.

When the Body Shop did work on my 2005 Silverado I later found a couple of issues with it. Scott in the Body Shop made sure I brought it back and made sure I was happy with everything they did. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another vehicle from them.

I bypassed many local GM dealerships, and travelled to Wally Edgar because my daughter dream car awaited her there. Bruce and Gary were very professional, and I noticed while I sat and waited, and waited (smile) for the paperwork to be processed, that the overtone of the entire office was friendly and professional. But, soon after taking ownership of the certified vehicle, I had to take it to a local dealership for a few repairs. My daughter is happy with her Pontiac G6, and I happy with the purchase. This was the 1st car I bought on my own. I found a certified pre-owned 2009 Chevy Equinox on the Wally Edgar site and set up a time to come in and see it. Bruce Gepfrey helped me and was amazing through the WHOLE process! He went through all the features of the car on the test drive, walked me through all of the paperwork, and answered ALL of my many questions. He has even helped me after the fact with some minor repairs that I needed to get looked at in the service department. It wasnt like after I bought the car, he stopped helping me...I was very impressed :) THe whole process was easy and stress free. And, I LOVE my new car!!!

My husband & I had been kicking tires for weeks when we decided to look online. We had narrowed our choices to a Traverse, but knew we would have to buy used to fit our budget. Needless to say, used vehicles can come with horror stories, so we wanted something with a warranty. We stumbled upon Wally Edgar and found the Traverse we wanted. Unfortunately scheduling conflicts kept us from seeing it in person. (I forgot to mention we're from Ohio!!) Adam made us feel like friends and even put our vehicle on You Tube!! Now I'm very careful by nature, so buying sight-unseen was SCARY!! Adam assured us the vehicle was perfect and he was right!! An honest car salesman! Can you believe it? My Traverse was delivered to my door, so I never had to step foot in "that state up north", as Woody Hayes would say! Thank you Adam and the whole crew for all of your help! Being that this was my first car purchase on my own, I was very reluctant on the entire process. During my search, I fell in love with a Malibu at Wally Edgar. When I arrived at the dealership to test drive it, Bruce introduced himself and answered any and all questions that I had. He was very patient and knowledgeable with me and really put me at ease. When it was time for me to come sign the paperwork, it couldn't have been easier. My husband and I went to Wally Edgar to buy a used car and trade in an other car. We met with Deb in used car sales. She was very very nice. We were in and out within 2 hours and had a new/used car to drive home. After about a 2 months of having the car my wipper blades quit working and we took the car to her. Not only did she have it fixed when i was able to get there, she introduced me to the tech fixing my car and then it was done in about an hour and a half. It has been such a pleasure working with Deb, we have already recommeded her to our friends and family!!!!

I bought a new Chevy Malibu from Wally Edgar back in 2003 using GM employee pricing. I can't comment on how fair their prices are because it was not negotiable using my discount. Everything else was fantastic (except the car). The dealership is clean, the people were nice and when I'd had service done, the service people were very professional. Unfortunately the Malibu was not the most reliable car. It wasn't terrible but it left me stranded on two occasions and had a bunch of minor problems. This isn't a car review, though. The dealership was very good. I wanted to write this positive review because I just wrote up a scathing review for a dump, ahem, a dealership in Kentucky and I wanted to balance the scales by leaving good comments where they are due!
