I purchased 2005 Acura RL with 215,000+ miles. Nice car, rides nice and salesperson Chris displayed excellent service. However, the shopping experience was hampered as the wait time to complete the financial transaction was over 1.5 hours. I rated my experience 3 stars due to the long wait time; otherwise it would have been a 5 star rating.

I leased a new Outback last Wednesday. I dealt with Scott Sprecher, one of the sales staff. This is a recommendation to work with Scott on your new Subaru purchase or lease. My wife and I found him to be attentive but not "pushy"; very courteous, and fully knowledgeable about the product. The manager took time to introduce himself to us and thank us for our business, and the finance manager was helpful, timely and personable. In short, our entire experience with White Bear Subaru was one that we recommend, and will not hesitate to repeat. I have purchased many new vehicles over the past 50 years, from many dealerships, and this experience was the best.

We looked at 6 dealerships and car makes, and kept coming back here- Sam Basho was patient, warm, informative, authentic, and never pushy, just what we needed in a car dealer. We asked about the company , he said he'd been working for subaru for over 25 years and they company treated him well, it was a good company to work for, and that meant a lot to us. We drove many cars, no problem. Chi Vang, another sales person - was also helpful and informative while Sam was off having our old prius evaluated. We felt we were dealt with fairly from beginning to end, and as a female, I never felt talked down to or dismissed. the financial guy was also efficient, helpful, flexible and kind.And they sent us cookies the next day. The forester is wonderful, We couldn't be more pleased with our choice.

The service tech Luke Lien was very friendly and helpful when I came in for my first oil change. He asked me how I liked my new car, if I had any issues, and informed there was a software recall. The oil change and software update took less time to do than expected. The service all around was exceptional, which is one of the reasons why I purchased a Subaru !!!

How do you express what it feels like when you drive in to the service bay, it has been 4-6 months since the last vist and the service tech, Greg Nichols, walks up to you, shakes your hand and says it is nice to see you again. We talked about his baby and how the little one has changed his life.I was in for an unscheduled oil change/tire rotation and they had me out of there in less than two hours. The gents in sales even called my home to see if I was OK. They had me bring the car into their service area and then had someone from Luther Collision and Glass pick it up, since driving to the Collision center was quite a hike for me. Since I was no way at fault, they even offered insurance suggestions so I didn't have to pay any money out of pocket. I was having difficulty getting the garage door device on the rear view mirror to work - John actually came to my home and helped me until we got it to work. Everyone in the dealership is focused on the customer, and makes them feel important. I can't say enough nice things about the staff!

This dealership was awesome!! From the start our sales man AJ made it easy. He gave us the keys to test drive the vehicle we were looking at right away. From there he made us a deal that was one we had to take. He passed us over to the finance department but was still checking on us making sure everything was going ok. He even offered to give my Uncle's car a free car wash while we were waiting. I got free coupons for gas a a few ice scrapers for my new vehicle. I would definitely recommend this dealership to others!!

I bought an almost-new (2,600 mi.) SUV from White Bear over the phone and the experience was phenomenal. Pricing was better than what my local dealers wanted for the same vehicle with more miles. Sales and finance team members were easy to deal with, didn't play games and treated me with respect.It gets better though. The dealership FedExed the paperwork to me with a prepaid return label (very convenient!) When I flew to Minneapolis to get the SUV, my flight was delayed and I assumed I would need to call the dealership to ask them to send someone to pick me up. Nope, the porter was waiting for me in a brand new RDX, with the seat heaters turned on and everything warmed up. When I got to White Bear, I got a cup of coffee, was handed the keys and was on my way.These guys are straight-shooters and it was a great experience all around. I'm very happy with everything.

My wife and I greatly enjoyed our experience buying a Crosstrek from White Bear Subaru. Mike Akright in Sales helped us understand our options on choosing either the Crosstrek or the Forester. He clearly laid out the benefits of each and took us out for a test drive in each to see which car we would enjoy most. We had worked with Mike earlier this year to purchase an Outback for me. We were so impressed with his knowledge and personable nature that we wanted to work with him again to purchase the Crosstrek for my wife. We would definitely seek him out again to make another purchase in the future. The worst experience I have ever had at a dealership. Went in looking to lease a TLX with a trade in. I asked them to draft up the paperwork and see where they landed. They came back with a cap cost of the vehicle $2k higher than the other local dealership. I told them that and they brought it down under what the other dealer had. HOWEVER, they used a popular sales scamming technique and made it seem like a good deal when they just moved that money to other buckets of the lease deal. They also told me that they would give me $4000 trade in and then later on reduced it to $3000 because they had to move the money around to make it work. When I called the sales guy, Greg, out on it the sales manager named Tim came out and got confrontational and very rude in front of all of their other customers. At the end of the day, they thought they could take me to the cleaners on this deal but I know how leases work and I know the scams that dealers try to pull. I wonder how many other customers they are taking advantage of using this "4 square method"? I recommend that you DO NOT give White Bear Acura your business and go else where. Read the other similar reviews as well. Also, anytime you a buying a car make sure that you bring someone with you that knows how to negotiate and knows what to look for. It could end up saving your thousands.

Aaron Smith. That's all I can say. My wife and I decided to make one last stop before heading home after a long day of car shopping so we stopped by White Bear Acura. While looking at one of the new MDXs, I caught Aaron approaching us. Right off the bat, he was friendly, authentic, and very willing to help answer my questions and show me whatever I was interseted in. Aaron showed us a car that didn't necessarily meet my specifics and in the middle of the test drive, Aaron knew I wasn't in love with the car. He simply asked to go back to the dealer to see what else he could find for us. Aaron didn't push anything on us - which was awesome. We even spoke to a new car sales guy, who must have misunderstood because I knew exactly what I had test drove earlier in the day - long story, but this review is about Aaron. Before we left the office, Aaron considered locating the exact car I wanted and even sought out his manager whether they could get the car for us. Over the next couple of days, Aaron stayed in touch, followed up when he said he would, and always remained profressional, sincere, and understanding. Although we did not buy a car from Aaron and from this dealership, I would not hesitate to reach out to Aaron if and when we're looking for another vehicle. - whichever dealership he may be working for.

i recently purchased a used vehicle from Landon from white bear Acura. The vehicle itself was in great condition, but even the few minor flaws were fixed prior to taking delivery of the car. Landon was great -no pressure salesperson and had the car ready for me to test drive on arrival. After walking through everything I decided to purchase the vehicle and then worked with Chang, one of the finance advisors. Chang was able to get me a great deal and was very informative and helpful with the finance process as well. I could definitely see myself coming back to this dealer to purchase a vehicle in the future and would recommend white bear Acura Subaru to anybody looking to buy a vehicle with as much ease as possible. I initially stopped at the used side of the dealership after making an internet inquiry about test driving a used Hybrid Sonata they had on the lot. I received emails from Landon Medvec and stopped in at a time to test drive the car. Landon was really easy going and helpful in letting me test drive that car as well as two others at the time. None of the cars he had initially worked out. I mentioned that I was interested in the Subaru Legacy and was most interested in the latest 2015 model due to the improvements from the previous model year. He was able to refer me to the new car side as he was initially unable to help me with this. I held back in making a decision on a car because I really wanted the discount of a newer used car. When Landon had a used 2015 come in he emailed me right away as he had remembered it was what I was looking for. We worked out a price and I agreed to buy the car. I had bank financing but Landon was able to get me a better deal through the finance department at the dealer. I gave him the information ahead of time and when it came time to sign the paperwork, we were able to get in and out quickly. There was no pressure to buy anything additional. Landon made sure we were able to get into the office of a finance guy quickly by checking around for an available person vs waiting for the original guy. He was very easy to talk with and upfront.

Last September I had the service department check a noise coming from my front wheel on my 2003 Acura CL. The service Technician told me that it was caused from the calipers and brake mechanism needing lubrication. I went there for an oil change on April 6th 2015. I told Jordan Sprandel (manager?) to go ahead and fix the front wheel noise problem. He did. He "replaced a pin in the caliper" so he claimed. It still makes the noise. Of course they charged me about a hundred dollars. Out of frustration, I took my car to a Certified Mechanic. He checked out the entire wheel assembly and said the problem was not the caliper or anything else in the assembly. It was the tire. Now, why couldn't the mechanics at this dealership do the same thing? Oh, that's right, no money in that. I sent an e-mail to Mr. Sprandel regarding this. Never heard back.

I bought a 2015 Forester last year. Pia Vang was the salesman and was very laid back, no pressure to buy. He connected my phone to the car and answered all my questions. However, once you get to the service department, people are not nice. The wait times are quite long. It's nice that they have a lounge with drinks and cookies, but that doesn't mean I want to wait 90 minutes for an oil change. They have refused to look at a flashing warning light - told me to ignore it. The fuel efficiency has dropped 30% - they told me it happens. The brakes squeak - they said it's because of winter. Saturday the service guy was so hostile he scared my daughter. Never going back.

I had a full inspection done here and after a confirmation call of what was recommended to be repaired (I refused to repair for it was minor), I was told they would call me back to pick up my car. I waited for 6 hours to just pick up my car when nothing was repaired. When I called, I kept getting placed on hold and automatically disconnected. Overall I really just needed to know if my car was ready for pick up. I kept calling back to know the status of my car and was given rude remarks. I would not return to get any services here done. I still ended up paying $135.

I bought a 2007 Buick Lacrosse 1/13. To date I have had to invest approx $1,500.00 in repairs an am looking at another $800.00 - $900.00 in brake repair. The whole purpose of buying this car was reliability. Also since I bought the car there have been alot of body imperfections appearing. They did however offer me a generous 30 day warranty!! What a load of CRAP!!

I brought my legacy for oil change and check for engine rattle noise, they took my car in less than 10 minute, one service person came to me and told me they found the problem on my car it was a bad belt that need to be replaced so I gave them the ok. After an hour the vehicle was done and they charged me $156.00 including oil change. I walked out and start the engine and the noise from the engine still there, I circle the car back inside the garage and told them that they didn't really fix my car correct, they recheck the vehicle and told me that it was something els and it will cost me $2,800 this time. I told them how come they didn't tell me that at the beginning? All they told me was sorry and sorry again. We'll... I just want to let's all the people out there to know that this is not a good place to go fix your car.

Purchased my 2010 TSX and had an appointment for an Acura made body kit install at 1045am. Was quoted for 2.5hrs. 4.5 hrs later when I finally ask to see what's taking so long, service advisor Cody comes and tells me that since his techs don't normally put these on it's gonna take more time. I reminded him that it's plastic bumper pieces and not anentire engine rebuild. I paid about $1k in labor fees for what it seems techs and an advisor that didn't seem competent in his guys yet they're all master techs and fully certified. Though the parts were not stock, they're sold by acura and they're bumper and side skirt replacements. After an attempt to rebound from the comment he made, he literally told me he was done talking to me and walked away from me, which made me super angry. Service manager finally talked to me and he was no help at all either, told me he'd check on it right away and get back to me, but sends some chick to come tell me it'll be done the next morning and offers me a loaner, 5hrs later! ! For certified work, they seemed un confident and esp super rude, I've only had the car for about 1wk. Contemplating on returning the darn thing and pick up another one from elsewhere. Acura or that dealership needs to re look at their employees period! !!

Mike was great. He met us with a warm greeting, and was very knowledgeable about the Outback we were considering purchasing. We bought the Outback and really, really like it. Our highway mileage, at 60 miles an hour, is almost 32 MPG. The local combined is about 26 MPG. When we are ready to buy another car we will look to Mike Akright. Thanks Mike

This is by far the best car purchasing experience I have ever had. Sam greeted us very warmly, found out what we were thinking and looking for, and handed us off to Mike, who is an awesome salesman. And by that, I mean he wasn't pushy, listened to our wants and needs, and was efficient about trying to help us find what we wanted. Before we knew it, we were on a test drive, and even though I had planned to go to 2 other dealerships to test drive other cars, I knew that the Legacy was what I wanted. We have sketchy credit due to a foreclosure a couple of years ago, and had doubts about our ability to obtain a loan. This didn't slow Mike, and subsequently Chris (finance) down at all, or diminish the level of service they gave us. Their mission was our satisfaction, and they (and other staff members) saw to our comfort during the time we had to wait for credit approval. When we got approved, and the payment was within our budget, I was shocked and thrilled. Chris was right there with us. He has a wonderful sense of humor and doesn't come off like most "finance guys" who are usually hidden away in an office somewhere "playing God", so to speak in regard to whether you get a car or not. Very personal experience. In the same breath, Mike wasn't the stereotypical "car salesman", trying to push the customer into something they either couldn't afford or a second choice they didn't want. I was also surprised at the efficiency of the whole process- despite not having the title for the vehicle we were trading in, we left in less than two hours with our brand new car. So happy!! Oh, and Sam is an awesome guy- Mr. Personality- gave me a big hug when the deal was done. :-D Overall, I would recommend to anyone I know who is shopping for a car to go to White Bear Acura Subaru. This is our family's second Subaru- wonderful vehicles- and their service is beyond compare. Probably why they are still in business today- having survived when a lot of big dealerships closed in the past few years due to the poor economy. Our son is looking to trade his Outback in for a new one in the next year or so, and he will be going there when the time comes.

I've purchased many new vehicles in my life, but I have never been moved to write a review until now. My experience with White Bear Subaru has been, dare I say, perfect. Of course, the 2013 Outback I purchased is phenomenal, but no matter where you purchase a Subaru you can count on getting a great car. What you cannot count on, however, is getting a great sales agent. I was most fortunate to work with Matt Fox, and he is the sole reason I ultimately purchased there as opposed to buying locally in Hermantown. It would have been much more convenient to buy close to home, but there was no comparison in customer treatment. Matt is a genuinely friendly and respectful person. He spent a great deal of time talking with me at the dealership and then communicating with me on the telephone and via email prior to me deciding to purchase. He was totally patient with me regarding my many inquiries, and he never once made me feel like I was asking too much or like I was taking too much of his time. In fact, when I made a last minute decision to drive down after work on a week night, Matt stayed quite late at the dealership to make sure my entire purchasing process went smoothly. From my very first encounter with Matt Fox I have felt valued not only as a customer, but also as a person. If working with a sales agent who will treat you with kindness, respect, honesty, and integrity matters to you, then make the drive to White Bear Subaru and be sure to ask for Matt Fox. I'm so glad I did.

I decided to visit White Bear Subaru on a whim one night after work. I already knew which vehicle I wanted and was checking in for comparison sake. I met Mike and told him what I was looking for and why I stopped in. He was very easy to talk with, very knowledgable and personable and made the conversation fun (which is not always the case when searching for a new car). Mike then had an existing appointment show up, so I continued my conversation with Sam. We went out, drove the car, went over some of the features and an additional package option that was included. I felt like a person there, not just "another customer." I was even there for a while after they closed, but no one said anything about closing time or made me feel rushed. I picked up the car the next day. Mike went over all the features with me, inside and out. I couldn't be happier with my new Outback or with my experience at White Bear Subaru.

We originally dealt with Matt Fox, via internet, and he provided us with good information. When we (my wife and myself) stopped in to look at the cars in person, Matt was not working, but Steve Kloek worked with us in making our selection of a Subaru Outback. Steve was very friendly and helpful to us, and took the time to give us a nice little training session on all the Outback's features before we left with the new car. The buying experience went fairly quickly, and we appreciated all the help we got from everyone we dealt with at the dealership.

We recently bought a 2013 Outback. Pia Vang was our sales consultant. Pia is enthusiastic, knowledgeable about the Subaru vehicles, friendly, helpful and easy to work with. He accompanied us on the test drive and explained the Outback features and advantages. He kept us posted on the delivery date. When we purchased and picked-up the car, he ordered sandwiches for us since we were there for a couple hours over the lunch hour. He gave us a thorough hands-on tutorial on how to operate all of the controls and features of the car from the roof rack, to the spare tire, to the audio and navigation controlseverything. Pia has offered to help us with all of our future questions and concerns about the car, e.g., how to set-up blue-tooth connections when we get a smart phone.

My 2 Cars; I only know how to drive and if its running rough or makes unusual noise, I dont even know where to put windshield liquid. I've been relying on this dealer service team for my auto care needs for 10+ years. Theyve earned my trust over the years, and I trusted my advisor to take care of my cars. The last oil change, -and new battery, looks like the team members were completely turned over. I am somewhat concerned with younger mix of this new team, so far, they seem quite professional.

I stopped in to Luther/White Bear Acura Subaru when comparing SUV vehicles in the White Bear Lake, MN area. Henry Thomas was the Sales Specialist that helped me that day. His knowledge and "love" for Subaru's convinced me to eliminate the others which included the Mazda CX-5 that I had been leaning towards. I have previously owned 4 Mazda's so naturally figured I could find another one to meet my wants and needs. After the fun and informative conversation along with a test drive with Henry, I was convinced that the Subaru Outback was the vehicle for me. There was no comparable! The hardest part was deciding on a color. Henry's comment that "my favorite color was his favorite color" made me realize it was "all about me" :) I give Henry's customer service skills an A+. He never pressured me at all but gave me all the information I needed to make my decision. He also took the time to find out about my interests and lifestyle so he could point out features in the Outback that matched.I visited the dealership lot (I admit several times) over the next couple of months looking at the color choices. When I came back to buy my Subaru, I was even more impressed. This time, by the dealership. They met my needs on all counts and explained the next steps and future servicing requirements and how they would be there for me in the future. They took the time to not only sell me a car, but build a relationship. Business Manager, Karl Gunderson handled the financial side efficiently and professionally. The Sales Manager, Sam Shouman even introduced himself and thanked me. I felt like a queen! Need I say more?

I came in for a brake pad replacement and was told that the brakes were in good working condition and that some of the parts only needed some lubricant. I was very impressed with the honesty of the service writer. He could have easily sold me front and rear brake pads.

I brought my car in to be looked at AGAIN. They worked on my car for over a week and replaced quite a few parts but never fixed the problem. I brought it back and they said it was a wheel bearing and told me it would be okay and they would not want to have me pay to fix it yet!! There is no charge it's under warranty!!! Also Sean actually asked me if my 2011 Subaru was AWD!!!!...yes he did.

Was treated as if I was only customer. While I waited for my car to be repaired/maintenance the White Beat Acura dealership gave me a loaner 2012 MDX to use for no charge. Simply amazing! When I couldn't get in to pick up my car until several days later, they were fine with it. Car always is returned with a wash. Have never had any problems with their service and I'm so glad I bought my car from them many years ago. My next vehicle will be from them as well. Would recommend them to anybody. Special thanks to Reed for taking such good care of me from the moment I walked in the service door.

It's apparent with every visit to the service department that the staff wants to make my experience positive. In this case when I took my MDX in for a routine oil change and brake inspection I wasn't prepared for the Service Advisor to point out a chip in my windshield and his suggestion to have it fixed the same day. He (and staff) took over with the process of contacting my Insurance Co. and getting the claim approved for the new windshield. He located a courtesy car for me to use so I wouldn't have to sit and wait at the dealership and I was able to be on my way within 1/2 hr! This is just an example of how my husband or I am treated with every visit.

Very easy to make appointments online, however, you usually need to do this in advance as they fill up quickly. Staff is extremely friendly. Nice clean waiting room and it even has a TV and toys for kids. I am always treated as a valued customer and they are right on with their estimates for cost and time. Though I don't like taking my car in for service, White Bear Acura is a great dealership with quality service and workers.

The people were very friendly and efficient. I needed to have a headlight replaced and the oil changed. Since it would take about an hour, they offered to drive me to a restaurant where I had breakfast, and they then picked me up for return. It was a verynice experience.

I encountered some issues with White Bear Acura. I was disappointed for a couple different reasons. The dealership contacted me and attempted to resolve the issues I encountered. I applaud them for working to correct the issues.

Car was in for first oil change at 3000 miles. Was told it was free and it was! A nice surprise. Alex Anderson was friendly, helpful and appeared extremely knowledgeable. I watched him with other customers and he explained things in a thorough manner, not "talking down" to anyone but giving them their options making well thought-out recommendations. He assured me that the 2 questions I had about my new car would be handled and they were. It was done in a very timely manner and the paperwork was very descriptive and accurate as to what was done and how the inspection went. I thought Alex was exceptionally professional and sure seemed to know what he was talking about. He addressed my two questions to my satisfaction and fixed one of the "issues" on the spot when I brought the car in. He explained what would be done and why, but not in a condescending way. I am an older woman but have had quite a bit of automotive experience having spent about 10 years working in the pits of open wheel racing as a technical inspector. I felt that I and all the customers I observed were treated in a very courteous and friendly manner, and I have always felt like a valued customer. This is my third Subaru and nothing has happened to make me want to try any other brand or dealership. I have been impressed for the last 10 years of dealing with White Bear Subaru and all the staff in man different situations, and I will continue to be a loyal customer for years to come.

My experince in buying my new car was easy and exciting. My salesman's knowledge on cars made me feel comfortable and confident in my purchase. I can honestly say that I've never had a bad ownership experience with White Bear Acura. This is our second MDX and it required an update after being notified by American Honda about a service bulletin and extended warranty for a potential defect. WB Acura made the repair quickly and in addition noted that the battery was failing, installed a new one at no charge under warranty. We also had an issue with the side mirrors (cosmetic and actuation). WB Acura made the repairs with no fuss. Based on past experiences with other dealers (different luxury make) I was prepared to get the "not covered"..."typical wear" type of argument, but no problem. I definitely get the sense that this dealer wants you as a customer for life, and is willing to make sure you're satisfied, and I'm not that easy to please.I'm not a shill for the dealer. In fact, we bought both of our MDXs used from private parties, and they have serviced them under warranty and beyond with excellence.

I'd done some research beforehand and everyone I asked told me White Bear Subaru is a great dealership. From the moment I walked into the showroom, I was treated well and with great respect. The salesperson I worked with, Art Stanko, was wonderful! He helped me locate exactly what I was looking for, in the price range I told him I needed. After I bought my new car, Art spent lots of time showing me how the car worked. All of the employees were friendly.I'm recommending White Bear Subaru as a great place to buy a new car.

The dealer performs a service check on the batterywhen you bring your vehicle in for service. On myway home I lost all power. When my husband checkedunder the hood, the battery cables were loose. Myhusband called the dealer to let them know. Reed saidthey check the battery with a clamp on device. He statedsometimes this loosens the battery cables when the clampis removed. If they know this, they should automaticallycheck the cables and tighten then if they have become loose. Also, when my husband opened the hood, theair vent tray wasfilled with leaves. It would have been a nice gesture toremove them. We were also origianlly charged to have the tires rotated. We purchased new tires from this dealer last November. Itshould be in their records we have life time of free tirerotations. They did remove the charge when we pointed thatout.

First off the salesperson wanted to sell me something I didn't want. I had a feeling he could make more money from a Legacy than an Impreza. At one point he told me if I thought I could do better elsewhere I should go there but wounldn't be any better off. I did go elsewhere and I am better off. For some reason the general sales manager called me and he had the same attitude which put me off even more on the dealer. I decided that even though Subarus are good cars and in demand that dealers shouldn't act so arrogant with customers.

Everyone at the dealership was very friendly and easy to work with. Matt went over the car carefully and explained the various bells and whistles. Sam offered to try to sell my old car for me (I didn't want to let it go for the trade-in amount they were willing to give me), and also offered me complimentary winter floor mats. Karl was the "money man" and explained all the options available (extended warranty, rustproofing, etc.) without pressuring me into purchasing any I didn't want. I gave price a "4" simply because I didn't really try to negotiate and paid the suggested retail price. I wanted the car as quickly as possible and there was one available within two weeks in the color and with the options I wanted, so I didn't try to haggle and really don't know whether I could have gotten a better price.

I started shopping for a new Subaru Legacy at a dealer other than White Bear Subaru. I was not satisfied with the deal nor was I impressed with the customer service. I am extremely satisfied with the deal and customer service I received at White Bear Subaru. Matt was easy to work with and efficient. The closing was a breeze with Mike. My appointment was at 2:00 for an oil change and I did not get out of there until almost 4:00. Long wait to get checked in. They were quite busy. Seemed they scheduled too many appointments at once. A group of employees (2 guys and a gal) were screwing around looking at jokes on their phones while I was standing there waiting to be helped. Thought that was a inappropriate in front of customers. Other than that everyone was very professional and nice. Would highly recommend White Bear Acrua.

This is by far the most unpleasant experience I've had in my car search, considering that my correspondence was limited to emails. I made initial contact with this dealership via an online inquiry. I later dropped in for a quick test drive without any commitment to a particular sales person. I never met Samantha Borreson, but exchanged a series of emails. Nearly every correspondence was unpleasant or ineffective: aside from a pretty shocking level of general rudeness and lack of respect (and poor grammar), she failed to answer the simplest questions in one email, requiring multiple back and forth emailsa total waste of my time. When I had to check up on an unanswered question, her short response was, "I already replied to that email," without reiterating her (supposed) response. She also noted that the car I had inquired about had sold alreadyindicating that basically, who cares about my question. A normal sales person would have understood that my question would have been applicable to any purchase from this dealership, but clearly, she didn't. This whole experience was awful enough that I was determined to move onto a different sales person should I actually end up buying something from this place; she most certainly doesn't deserve a commission from anything I buy. In discussing more competitively priced cars I found elsewhere, she simply said that she didn't find any in *her* search, and signed off with a dismissive, "good luck." (I'm not sure what her searching skills are, but a quick Googling yielded several.) This dealership also deluges you with an onslaught of form mail emails once you make an online inquiry. Unless you manually unsubscribe, you will continue to receive these long and pushy "call me now!" type messages even while corresponding about a specific vehicle. It's not only confusing, but also shows the total lack of respect for your time. Their explanation was that it's all just sent out on some lazy spam timer, so I should go through the trouble of unsubscribing if I want.

Our experience with White Bear Acura-Subaru started with test-driving a car while the salesman made repeated pushy attempts to "not leave without a car today" when we were clearly still shopping. I thought I'd give them another try when I spotted another vehicle I was interested in, and after a back and forth through email and repeatedly being told new dates that the car would be ready, I finally got to the date that the car was supposed to be ready to test drive and was told that the manager had sold it to a buddy of his, instead. This place is pushy, dishonest, and living in a previous era of dealerships that don't value customer service. Stay far away from this dealer.

Traded in my '08 Si. Great attitudes BEFORE the transaction. I was very pleased. Until Ronnie (service guy) was twisting around what my husband said. We would give the original rims and they would give us our steelies that were on the car. About 3 weeks later, they called and said to come in the tires were ready. I went in and they were still on the car. They later told me to come back a week later. Before showing up that Tuesday evening, I called and was informed that the steelies still were not off. Brad Miller assured that he would call me when the steelies were off. By this time I was very aggravated with their slow service and about their lie how they said that my husband gave them the steelies and the rims. The day after Anthony (finance manager) called us informing that he needed a signature for the loan and I stated that I would not come in until the steelies were off. He then said that he would call me back. About 2 minutes later, Anthony called us back saying that the steelies were off and please come in at about 30 mins to get the loan paper signed. I told them that I was unable today and agreed that the day after would be better. Brad Miller then called explaining that if we didnt come that night the steelies would be transported the the warehouse in Anoka and we would somehow have to grab them ourselves. I was very upset since Anthony and I agreed that the day after would work. Then Brad Miller began making excuses and stating that he had no idea that Anthony already spoke to us. I told them that I have been patient and accommodating their slow service and if they do not get my steelies when I come in, my husband I would not sign the papers at all. He then agreed. When my husband and I went in, there was no greeting and no thank you. If it had not been for my husband I would have complained and made it a very big deal. I would NEVER go back and do not recommend anyone to purchase from there unless there was an NSX. The service and people there are BS. All they want is the money. They lie, and have no communication and expect what they need immediately. This dealership is GARBAGE.

There were three main reasons for my dissatisfaction:1. I was assured when I made my appointment that there would be a loaner car available for me to use while they did the 30,000 mile check up on my 2010 Subaru Legacy. When I arrived a few minutes before my 10:15 appointment, there were no loaners available, so I had to go to Enterprise rental and go through the hassle of forms, credit card info and the high pressure pitch to pre-pay for gas and to purchase their unnecessary insurance. If I had had another appointment based on my expectation of the loaner, I wouldn't have made it. 2. When I brought my car in, I asked how much the service would be, and was informed that it would be about $950.00. When I exclaimed "Are you kidding me?", the service rep replied that since I didn't need spark plugs yet he would take $300.00 off. I don't know what they are making spark plugs out of these days, but that's ridiculous! Now understand that there was nothing mechanically wrong with my car, I just needed an oil change and to have the tires rotated. I accept that I should have walked out then and there and taken my car to my local, trusted mechanics in Red Wing, but I was so flabbergasted I couldn't think straight. I thought I was being responsible in taking the car to the "experts" on Subaru's. Michael was kind enough to let me use a coupon taking a percentage off the bill (I think it was 10%). When I came to pick up my car, the bill was actually only around $360.00.3. When I came to pick up the car,there was no one to explain what had and had not been done. The receipt is pretty detailed but there were several services performed "per customer request", that I don't believe I actually requested. I assumed (yes,I know what's said about assuming...) that they would inspect and determine if there were any procedures that needed to be done and that they would call to get approval, silly me....So, I don't believe I will be utilizing the dealership service department any longer. I still love the Legacy, but am not favorably impressed with the service at White Bear Acura/Subaru.

We test drove a Kia Sedona and were very interested. I called the next day to set up a 2nd test drive so we could take it our mechanic. Brad said we could pick it up the next day (Friday) and return it on Saturday so we wouldn't have to find a sitter for our kids. I got a call shortly after from another employee saying he talked to Brad and that Brad told him that we were going to buy the car. I said we didn't say that, but that we were going to be coming in the next day to drive it again. I called the next day on our way to the dealership to let Brad know we were on our way. He asked us how interested we were and I said that we were very interested. He said he would be right back and when he came back he said that the other employee that I had talked to said that I told him that we weren't interested and so they sold it. I think this was very unprofessional and am upset that we missed out on that car because we were very interested in it. We were going to buy it if the mechanic said it was in good shape (which I'm sure it would have been because it was a 2011 with only 20,000 miles). I would never recommend this dealership to anyone.

John and Tim took extra time to try to find the color I was looking for in the region without the tech package. I Saw this 05 Acura TSX on the market at cars.com. I immediately emailed White Bear Acura which I received a returned email. I spoke to sales by the name of Mark. He was very professional by the way he talk to me as i am not very professional so he spoke to me in a manner of my type of talk. I believe this has to do with what helps a dealership is by knowing how to present yourself to different type of people who have different background such as those who are lower class and upper class. Do not treat lower class people with disrespect and those who look like they don't have money with the disrespect, as they are those who you need to get to know first, because they can be a rewarding customer who will make your day. Although, Mike (finance) was great at respecting us and finding us the best finance rate and it made my day by him offering me things other Luther dealers didn't. I strongly suggest working with mike on finding a great rate for financing. The team of two worked well together and help me with making the car affordable and it was great. Myself, is an auto tech, so i knew what i was looking at. They are two individuals who i would definitely work with again. Mark works hard at trying to get you everything you request in minutes. He will be a honest sales rep to rely on. (not like others who say its been here for 1 week when really has been in the market and lot for over a month) Although, i looked for cars before in White bear Acura and experience many wrong disrespectful sales rep. (which i didn't see them this time) I then saw Brad who i met once while fishing. He remembered me. I had a problem with my key fob on my 2007 Acura MDX. I felt the battery was dead and did not want to replace it myself. I did make a couple of trips to this dealer when the remote lock malfunctioned after the new battery. They told me up front the time period for the warranty on this key had expired. However, since the vehicle has only 10,000 miles on it, Chris thought it was worth a call to Acura to see if they would do a "courtesy" replacement. Thanks to Chris and Acura, I drove away with a new key fob for no charge (normally $350). There was no confrontation or no hassle. Why wouldn't I be happy? Tom Shelton

My wife bought a 2003 Subaru Forester and it is still running strong. We have had it serviced many times at Luther White Bear Acura and the work quality and customer service have always been outstanding. This is the reason I was looking to replace a 2009 Toyota Matrix with a larger, all wheel drive 2011 Subaru Forester from Luther White Bear Acura, Subaru. Salesperson Art Stanko found a Forester with the accessories I wanted at a reasonable price and Business Manager Anthony Mohlin handled the paperwork efficiently. I bought license plates up front so I wouldn't call attention to my new car with a temporary registration permit stuck in the rear window. When I picked up my new car, Art had included a rear cargo mat which is an option on all the new Subaru's these days. I was pleased with this surprise. Art also took a good deal of time with me to review important parts of the User's Manual and use of the "chip" keys. He also sat in the running car with me to instruct me on use of the audio equipment, security system, heat and air conditioner controls, lights, seat belts, moonroof etc. All-in-all my buying experience at Luther White Bear Acura Subaru was very pleasant and very low-key.

Art Stanko was very helpful until the deal was complete. Once he got my money he quit responding to my calls and emails. I did not receive the proper paperwork that I needed to complete my registration until ONE DAY before my temporary registration expired. I took it to the DMV and was told the dealer had not filled it out properly and normally they would not accept it, but the DMV made an exception and let me fill in the information myself. I would have been more understanding about their mistake with the paperwork if they would have just called me back or responded to my emails. In addition to emails, I left Art numerous messages on his work phone and cell phone and he did not return my calls. Several days later I called the receptionist to ask if there is any reason (e.g. illness? travel?) that he was not contacting me. She said no and transferred my call to him immediately. The fact that he quit responding once the sale was complete makes me think he is no different than the stereotypical "slimy" car salesman. I very clearly told him in my messages why this was urgent (registration about to expire and I did not have the paperwork from them to take care of it), yet I was ignored. I will never be back to this dealership.

I just purchased my 7th Outback....obviously I love my Outbacks. Previously I had owned SUVs and wasn't satisfied with the awful mileage and instability. My son moved to Jackson Hole, WY where the Outback is the most popular car sold for obvious reasons...symmetrical all wheel drive, great gas mileage, great stability, reliable, and fun to drive. I feel safe in my Outback!! And what a perk to get the debit for for 5 cents off per gallon of gas at SA. I love the new style and my 6+ foot husband loves the extra leg room. We have a Ford Truck with 200,000 + miles and a gas guzzling Chevy Suburban so our Outback is our main source of transportation. We drive it to FL and ID each year because of the great mileage.Kudos to Tom Thell who has been our numero uno salesperson for all but one of our purchases (we were mis-informed about his leaving the dealership...hmmmm.) Tom doesn't apply the pressure and he's always great to work with. He's also a great teacher...a little amused that after 6 Outbacks that I'm still learning some of the features...I'm good for not only a sale...but a laugh.As for the service department...I haven't had a lot of contact with them but when I have they have always been great. My Subarus haven't needed much more than routine care. We sell our old Subarus to our daughter and she hasn't had much need for the service department either. How do those guys stay busy when these cars are so reliable?We'll be back for another Subie when my daugher wants my car. And a word to Tom...who gets the better deal when you quote us the price our daughter should pay for our old car. I have a feeling you have her best interests in mind...tee hee.

We purchased a 2011 Forester from Sam and Jason. While we originally had some miscommunications about what was included and what was not included on the vehicle, I was very impressed with the way that Sam handled the situation and strived to make us happy. I would recommend this dealer.

Friendly, efficient, honest. Comfortable waiting room and free beverages and pastry. Everyone is professional and pleasant. Repair is done right the first time. They keep you informed on progress of repair and cost. Then while paying the bill, my newly washed car is heated and waiting at the door for me.

Whenever my car has needed service, White Bear Acura has handled it professionally, with as little "pain" as possible. Recently, I needed to have some maintenance and repairs done to my car. The service department checked me in & I was able to drive off with a loaner within 15 minutes. As Ken, the service manager said, "we want to make your life the least disruptive as possible" How's that for trying to make the dreaded car repair situation "painless"? Any questions I had, Ken patiently answered & explained in further detail. He always kept me in the loop. A comment on the word choice to describe PRICE. Can anyone honestly say that ANY price is "excellent"? I would say that the price was very competitive for dealership. I may have paid a little more than going to some garage, but I NEVER would have had the service & confidence that everything was done right. AND I know that if, by chance something wasn't right after they fixed it, they would take it in again & make it right. My car is driving like a new car....I'm very happy & satisfied. All of the people at White Bear Acura are real pros, from the clean & organized check-in area, to paying the bill in the accounting department.

This is my third Subaru (2011) and I have had all of them-('05 & '08) serviced exclusively at WBS and never had a problem with service or quality of work. They are quick to explain any problems they may have encountered and what might need attention.The waiting area is great, and I especially like the Starbucks Coffee and pastry which is always available. The wide screen TV and ample newspapers also make the time fly by- It is also nice to have the car washed and parked right outside the door when the work is completed. It is a pleasure to have my car serviced at WB Subaru-they are efficient, courteous and I will continue using them into the future.

When I called to set up the appt. I asked how much a 30,000 mile service would cost I was told it would be $380.00. Opon dropping the car off for the service we were told the service would cost over $525.00!! Then there were additional charges incurred whithout any authorization by us for those charges! A phone call would have been appreciated, but no attempt was made. In the future we will be taking our Suberu elsewhere.

My experience at the White Bear Subaru was like none other. They were the BEST dealership I have ever worked with. Matt my sales person was amazing and Sam his boss was incredible. I would recommend to anyone looking for a Subaru to go to White Bear Subaru. I spoke to just about every Subaru dealer in the Metro area and they were the only ones who actually worked with me. The other dealers that I went to were just interested in selling the car. Matt and Sam were looking to have a customer for life. They truly took the time to help me and in no way pressured me into buying a car from them. Subaru lovers... White Bear Subaru is the the place to buy!!

The service was great for identifying/repairing a slow tire leak. This problem had been bothering me for a few months. Previously I took my Forester to a different Subaru dealer in the twin cities area, but they did not find/fix the problem. White bear Subaru did a great job on finding the problem and fixing it.

All of the sales staff at White Bear Suburu were very friendly and accomodating. I was able to test drive the vehicle without the sales person in it which most of the other dealerships I had visited wouldn't allow me to do. This one fact alone made a huge difference in my buying experience. They did not pressure me at all into buying a vehicle. The entire sale was comfortable for me.

Jason Pearson, the internet salesperson, listened carefully to me and asked good follow-up questions about my needs and pricing limits. Anthony Mohlin in finance described my options for warranty, etc. that wasn't 'pushy'. Both were mainly concerned the vehicle would be mechanically sound and checked with me on delivery timing. A great experience with a new dealership!

They were very helpful, the Mechanic I worked with helped adjust all of the bars before I went and got my new luggage box. Then I came back and we adjusted it again with the new box and talked about the car. I discovered I was driving it wrong in the snow and he showed me what I was doing wrong. Very thankfull

The staff went to great lengths to listen to our needs and requirements, and to make recommendations accordingly. They paid attention to our more subtle wants and tastes as well, and seemed to respect what we already did know, while patiently answering questions about what we didn't know. Of particular note, the gentleman (I'm sorry I can't recall his name)who dealt with the financial aspect of the process was open, thorough, neutral and very low-key about the options to be offered. We were paying the total up-front anyway, but it sat well with me, that at no time were we given a high-pressure, hard-sell routine. In addition, I like the fact that we were able to pass a savings coupon on to the friend who shared one with us. Everyone there seems to know your product and stand behind it, and seems willing to really work with customers in an individual way. that gives one hope for excellent service in the continued care and maintenance of the vehicle.

My 2007 Subaru with 23,000 miles on it was shifting rough in the cold weather. I brought it in to the service department, and after some investigation they said it needed a new transmission which would be covered by the warranty. It took about a week or more to order the transmission and get it installed, but in the meantime they gave us a 2011 Subaru as a free rental. Keng was very good about keeping us informed of the progress of the repair. I actually am much more impressed with the service department than I am with the car itself. All our previous visits have been as positive.

Customer service was good: I don't care for pushy sales people. Out of the 3 sales persones I hade contact with only one was pushy and I almost left. Thank goodness he was busy with other customers and introduced my husband and I to Matt, who was wonderful. I have not had any experience with the quality of work, i rated it as good because the car i recieved was in good condition, it was clean, I did ask that it be taken in so i could see the car in the light, they were so busy they said they had no inside room for me to look at the car i was purchasing. Price was ok because they had another car at the same dealership that was the same price with half the miles. I would have thought that the car I purchased would have been some cheaper. When I went to look at the cars they said the other one had been sold. Also they don't keep up on there internet availablity. We had looked that day and saw 8 vehicles for sale when we got there that night there were only 3.

It was only an oil change but every thing was handled perfectly from the time I drove in until the work was over. I like the idea I can schedule on the internet also. Being able to furnish my own Mobil 1 saved me some money also. I just wish your Dealer Ship was closer to Inver Grove. F J Lindeman

My husband and I purchased a new 2011 MDX on Friday and scheduled a service appointment for the following Thursday for our body side protective moldings, running boards, all season floor mats and other accessories to be installed on our new vehicle. When I arrived for service I was informed they did not have an appointment for me nor did they have the parts for my car (although they had called my husband to tell him the parts were in, weird). I was also told that even if my parts were in they did not have a rental car for me and that I would need to reschedule. I spoke with Mark (a salesman) and he was even less friendly/helpful. I told him about the appointment Jason had made (another salesman) and that Jason had told my husband and I that when I brought my car in for service I would have an MDX as a loaner. Mark stated they could not get that for me. I asked if I could just get my all season floor mats and cargo tray because my carpet was getting dirty (as it is winter!!!) and was told no. I left the dealership with no resolution and no apology. I am shocked that I purchased a $55K vehicle less than a week ago and this is the customer service I get? I will NEVER buy another vehicle from Luther Acura in White Bear and I will share my bad experience with anyone I know looking to purchase a vehicle. I will also never return to the dealership for service. I would rather pay extra and get quality customer service elsewhere. Luther Acura of White Bear gets an "F"

Came in complaining about a vibration thinking I would face an expensive realignment. The service people found that a wheel balancing fixed the problem which eliminated the need for the realignment. They also found and fixed a burned out tailight and did the work in a timely manner.

My wife and I purchased a new Subaru Outback Limited 2.5i from Sam Basho at White Bear Subaru. It was a very smooth and pleasant experience. We have previously purchased new VW and Toyota vehicles and when it came down to crunch time and agreeing to the deal there always seemed to be something that made me/us suspicious. This time around first of all we wanted something more reliable than the VW/Audis my wife had been driving. We were deciding between a Toyota Venza and an Outback for our family of 4. The price of the Toyota seemed to be creeping up way above what prices we were seeing online. But, each time we visited or that I talked with Sam on the phone at White Bear Subaru, there was no change in the terms. Sam was a no nonsense guy who offered a kind of calming affect on the entire transaction. Also, the dealership is not the intimidating "salon" experience that Audi wow's you with. You don't feel like you're going to give your right arm to afford the car. It was a very quiet, and kid friendly place and our daughters played both times we visited to completed the transaction and delivery. So far, we love the car. So, only good things to say about the overall experience!

Was told they could beat the rate preapproved by our bank, got to the paperwork after deciding on a car and it was .6 HIGHER than our bank. Called them on it and they magically reduced it .6. So obviously could have given us that rate or better to start with. This was unnerving. Also suspect the car we traded in was undervalued.
