We had been talking with the owner, David, about a car that was on the lot for several days. It had a clean CARFAX and he claimed that their mechanic had looked it over whenever we wanted to hire our own mechanic to go check it out. We live over 3 hours away, so we wanted to double check everything was in good shape before we made the drive. The only day we could come was when David wasn’t going to be there but a salesman named Jonathan was. We spoke with him over the phone as well and he insured the car was ready to go. Upon arriving, he asked if I had brought the check, which seemed odd to ask right off the bat. The car (a Mazda CX-9) looked decent from the outside and even drove fine, but almost none of the electrical features worked! The back camera was completely missing, the Bluetooth wouldn’t connect, and all the options on the touch screen itself wouldn’t even light up (like the settings), so you couldn’t actually use any of them except the radio. Jonathan claimed he never even been in the car! So, we drove up there with 2 young children to a big disappointment. He offered $300 off, then $500, but he had no estimate of what the repairs would have even cost. He then pulled up a Kia Sorento for me to look at, but, being experienced car buyers with several mechanics in the family, we could tell just from the noises it was making on the outside that it wasn’t reliable (clicking sounds). Although both David and Jonathan were super friendly, I would be cautious when buying a vehicle from this place.

So my daughter turned 16 and was getting her first car. She wanted a small SUV, but being her first car, her budget was tiny. I let her know an SUV within that budget meant older and more mileage. We looked at a lot of vehicles, private and dealer. It was a blessing we found Wilson's Auto Sales. They had a 2 owner 2003 Chevy Tracker out of Florida with less than 100K miles for $5,000. Most cars we looked at in this budget range was 160-200K and same year range. I gave them a call to ask about it and let Johnathon know the budget was only $4,000. Without us even seeing it, Johnathon agreed to $4200 out the door if we liked it. Test drove it and all seemed well. I still wanted to have it checked out by a mechanic and David was nice enough to let us take it the next day (had it from 10am until 4pm). I had Dan from firestone give it a complete once over and there was no huge red flags. Needed lower tie-rods within 6 months, no surprise there and relatively inexpensive to fix ($300). Wilson's treated us fairly and seem like good people. Daughter LOVES the car. If she treats it gentle like anyone should with a car this old, it should last her into college. Couldn't be more pleased with this purchase!

Excellent small car dealership with good selection. Purchased a Tundra and it was the best price I could find in 500 miles. They gave me top dollar for my trade in and did not try to hassle me out of my last dollar. They were very ethical and Christian based themed which made me at ease I would definitely recommend them over the other sites and dealerships in East Tn. When I need another vehicle I will search Wilson first.
