It has always been meticulously maintained, and was a California car from 1991 until 2017. 0.0% rust on this car.In addition to being a top-of-the-line "Si" model, it was also optioned with 4-wheel-steering (4WS), which by itself cost nearly 10% of the base price back in 1991. Honda Prelude was the first mass-produced car sold in America with active 4WS. It's a mechanical system, requiring virtually no maintenance. All 4 wheels turn, making the car handle amazingly well in both high speed and especially low speed maneuvers. Think of the car as having roller skates strapped to the rear wheels when driving at parking lot speeds. The original body of this Prelude is the nicest you will ever see, with laser straight panels, immaculate original "New Formula Red" paint, and absolutely zero rust anywhere. I had a paintless dent expert spend nearly 9 hours removing every hint of a ding that he could get to, and that wasn't cheap! We actually removed the hood, trunk lid, and moonroof to ensure the car came out glass smooth. There are a few tiny nicks and slight imperfections simply from being driven, but you'll be hard-pressed to find them. A bottle of correct Honda red touch up paint is included. This car has been coddled since new, and you'll recognize that fact at first sight.Glass, trim, emblems, etc are all like new. There is no curb rash on any of the wheels, and the factory clearcoat still shows on them. It retains all of its factory original parts, right down to the spark plug wires and Honda OEM muffler. Anywhere you look on the car, you'll find factory paint daubs and inspection marks, showing the car has led a clean, dry, garaged life always.Inside is vintage Honda, with amazing outward views, ergonomically perfect seats, and well-configured gauges and controls. Everything works, down to the factory stereo system, electric pop-up headlights, and cruise control. Heat and AC work flawlessly. The leather is in like new condition, with the lone exception being some typical wear on the driver's side bolster. That will be fixed likely before anyone even bothers to come see the car. Carpets, door panels, dash, and electric moonroof are all in as-new condition. This car is impeccably preserved.Recent maintenance (within last 2k miles), includes new timing belt, water pump, and (while we were in there) new valve cover gasket. Receipts for all are included. Even comes with a 2nd new timing belt for future use. The car leaks NOTHING. It drives amazingly well, and can be trusted to go any distance, any time. The 4 speed automatic shifts crisp and firm in every gear, and as Prelude fans know, the little 2.0 LOVES to rev. This car is as comfortable at 100 mph as it is crawling into parking spaces at 2 mph.This Prelude is detailed to the max by a meticulous professional, and is ready to be enjoyed.
