We sold this truck last time in September of 2015 and we are very proud and pleased to offer it again, as a consignment sale this time around. But in the interim this has become a very special Discovery, a true one-of-a-kind as the result of some terrific and very unique upgrades. From the outside the first things that catch your eye are the outrageous 20" wheels! I know of no other Disco running wheels this size and that's because they had to be Custom Made! Butler tire here in ATL had the center hubs of these GRID GD-4 wheels specifically machined for the LR bolt pattern and hub diameter as well as an aggressive 30mm offset for a strong, square stance. As the pictures show, these wheels can be standard or addressed-up with colored inserts, red in this case. Its your choice! The top-drawer Old Man Emu 2" lift and Terrafirma extended fender flares give the GRID wheels and the newish (5,000 miles old) Nitto ATS 33"ers the right home. As you get a bit closer you might also be blown away by the quality of the paint finish and for good reason: the truck was professionally refinished less that 2 years ago and looks newer! Of course the Lucky8 front bull bar bumper with twin LED driving lights are the right stuff up front. But its when you open the door that you enter a very special custom designed environment, unlike any other Disco! All the seat covers were redone only 7 months ago and custom-fitted in a silky Dove Grey perforated material with Red contrasting piping. The seat foam was also replaced. Even the door panels have been redone eliminating that worn look of the original suede and replacing it with a sleek multi-tone insert also with the red piping. Bentley look alike? This rich these is carried over into the stitched front and rear floormats as well! But as all smart Discovery shoppers know, its what been done under the hood that matters! Well, the head gaskets were redone, along with the heads at 142k, so they are still "fresh". The cooling system has been retro-fitted with a K-tune 1.25" billet in line thermostat, eliminating the troublesome plastic "octopus" arrangement in the standard engine. Running tests over several of our warmer fall days confirmed a very cool 188 degree F operating temperature! Doesn't get better than that for long engine life. All in all, this is a very special opportunity to get a very special, one-of-a-kind Discovery at a price that, frankly, makes most other Disco's look way overpriced.
