I was on the fence about the purchase of a 16 GTI. The salesman finally offered me a $500 rebate. The rebate was never fulfilled. After a year, management finally contacted me and offered me a discount on parts. Why would I spend more money there if I was already ripped off? They expect me to spend that much in parts for a brand new car? Pfft...

Second and final time that I will ever take my car to be serviced at the Auffenburg VW dealership. Totally agree with previous review about attempts to upsell you. Went in for an oil change that they said was free (20,000). I came in expecting to pay for this service. Well, they obviously expected me to pay for something too. Recommended tires (cheap brand, overpriced). Told them I'd get back to them... Left the lot and realized they removed the wheel center caps. This happened before and when I brought it to their attention, they ordered replacements and charged me!!! Not this time!!! Luckily I noticed it in time and could prove that it was their doing, not mine. Minor problem perhaps, but the same problem? Are you kidding me!! Something so minor, how can you trust them with bigger issues?

Recently I stopped in the Auffenburg VW dealer begrudgingly to check prices for tires. I honestly wasn't expecting my interaction to be overly positive but needed the convience due to placing my father in an assisted living facility. I was so pleasently surprised once I encountered the EXCELLENT service I recieved from Jeff Bean in the service area. They were very busy at least 5 other people waiting to be helped. Jeff Bean looked up and said we'll be with you all in just a minute. It means ALOT to be acknowledged. Once I got to the counter Jeff apologized for the wait and was helpful and polite answering my questions. I made an appointment to get the tires and when I got there I recieved the same treatment. Again, there were 4 or 5 people in there to be helped and Jeff once again told everyone he'll be with us in just a minute. Once I got to the counter I told him I wanted to rent a car for the day,he did his check in process and also contacted someone to help me get the rental process rolling. They both were taking info from at the same time and I was out in less than 15 minutes. When I came back to pick up my car the team again went out of their way to make the end experience as positive as the beginning. He understands the meaning of exceptional customer service. The process was made simple, and I felt like I was appreciated as a customer. I hope it is realized what an excellent ambassador Jeff is to the VW Auffenburg team. Before I walked in that door I would never have considered checking Auffenburg for any of my car needs due to the service I had when purchasing my car, the salesman needed a lesson on customer service. After the service I recently received Auffenburg is a dealership I would now consider.

Service department is terrible. They lie and take forever to complete a service. I have been without my car 6 weeks. Has been diagnosed 3 times and now there's a fuel pump issue. Wish I'd been warned. Would never take my car here again for anything. Go in for a car wash come out needing an engine.

I always walk away from the service department feeling as though they truly car about me and my car. Larry, Jeff and Hailey are always professional and courteous. I prefer going to the dealership for my car repairs because I know the mechanics are all certified and trained to work on my specific car. They aren't just guessing based on generic knowledge of car repairs. They always stand behind their repairs. Auffenberg will continue to get my service business because of Larry.

Second bad experience so I feel compelled to warn others. I made an online service appt and their system impressed me at that time. When I selected 60K service, the site listed the actual factory recommended services. I deselected one of them (tire rotation), added a note to use a torque wrench if tires are removed (due to a previous lug nut experience with them), and I dropped the car off the next evening at the nite drop. I repeated the same service request on the nite drop form, checked the line asking for a written estimate on their nite drop form, and left the car. The next day, we got a phone call with an estimate, and we asked what services they were doing as the price seemed high. They added lots of things to the estimate, like a fuel additive, oil additive, A/C service, and wiper blades. Sent them an email back instructing them to not do the additives or wiper blades, but to do the rest. We then got another email back saying they really did recommended the fuel and oil additives, after I had told them in writing not to do them. Fast forward to my visit to pick up the car at about 6 that night. After several minutes at the cashier I was told my car was not ready. After several more minutes the service manager found me and said that the servicing had not been started. He said they had overbooked service that day. When I explained that I had an appointment that I made online, that my car had been there since they opened, and that the earlier exchanges did not mention any type of delay, he indicated that because I booked online, that helped create the problem as their phone appointment system and the online system are not connected!?! After further discussion, I chose to leave them the car another night and was promised the car the next day.When I returned to get the car the next day, I asked to examine the services performed sheet with the cashier. I saw that the fuel and oil additives were put in my car, even though I asked them not to be. They said they were not charging me due to the delay. In my opinion, since I specifically told them I did not want it, they should not have put it in. Then I saw my tires had been rotated and they were charging me for it. I informed the cashier that I specifically asked not to get that done, and after showing her on the nite drop form the order to not rotate tires, she removed that charge. The cashier also attempted to justify their mistakes and tried to say they can't provide a written estimate to a customer who is not present (email anyone?). The cashier thought I would be pleased that they also gave me a coupon for a free oil change. While it was something, it was not what I really wanted..... car servicing that does the services I ask for on time, without aggressive packing of unneeded items. I am preparing to find out if I need to get out the 4 foot breaker bar for my wheel lugs. Be very careful at the Auffenberg VW service department. They do not follow drop-off instructions (second time they have done this to me), they do not have an effective scheduling system, and they will aggressively attempt to upsell you.

I have purchased multiple vehicles from the VW dealer in the last few years. I had a horrible experience with their sales department in February. (Probably because my salesman was not there and I had to use someone else) I told him I did not want him running my credit until I knew what I wanted was even possible. And of course it wasn't so I left. The next day I received a call saying it was and they could help me. (I wanted to get rid of my Passat and get a larger vehicle) I again asked ?s and requested they didn't not run my credit until it I knew it was a possibility. Since my car was just a year old I knew there would be a lot of negative equity. So long story short it wasn't possible and they ran my credit 19times! Against my better judgement we went back and got a new vehicle in mid May. Within 24 hours I had a bad tire that had a bubble in the side wall almost causing a blow out. the tire was replaced, from manufacturers warranty. Now 2 months later the sidewall blew out of another tire. They are again insisting its my fault and I must have hit something. Again I am sure I did not, and the car only has 2,000 miles on it. I can assure you I will never purchase a car from This dealership again. Nor will I purchase Hankook tires.

I tried to get some basic information about a vehicle listed on their website. The first "salesperson" said she could not give me any information over the phone about the options, but wanted to set up an "appointment" to view the car. When I persisted, she had to check with her manager. When she returned she could only give a list of the standard equipment, not the options. The second time I called, I spoke with someone who could not connect me with a salesperson unless I gave her my name. Then she would put me on a list to have a salesperson call me. No deal. Then I tried the "chat" option. The person at the other end, again, could or would not give me any information about the vehicle, but was very interested in whether I had a trade-in or a down payment and my budget. . I guess this dealership does not hire real salespeople, just order takers. Avoid.

I scheduled my 10k MI/6 Mo services via their web app. There was some confusion and all the services I wanted was not going to be available or done during the scheduled service. Even though I had called an confirmed the evening before that everything was setup. I was disappointed that communication within the dealership failed. Jeff did his best to accommodate. He was professional and polite. I still have regrets in using this dealership for my VW purchase but it was refreshing to find a diamond in the ruff. Auffenberg Volkswagen could use more employees like Jeff.

Great service experience from start to finish! It is very refreshing to have your staff greet me in a professional and friendly manner, especially after having era of bad customer service with other dealerships. After getting the initial paperwork going for my appointment, the young lady at the front desk was very responsive to my needs and thorough with the services being performed on my vehicle.. She informed me of a recall that I didn't know about to perform as well during my visit. Her outgoing personality turned a intimidating expectation into a pleasant experience. I was impressed with the timely manner the department handled my service work to completion. I can honestly say with confidence that I will establish my loyalty with all future needs of my VW Jetta with Auffenberg VW! I highly recommend all VW owners to experience the professional and knowledgeable service that this dealership has to offer. The service manager cares so much about his customers that you almost feel like family. He addresses me by name the minute I walk through the door. His service team gives me comfort in knowing they aren't taking advantage of me, they give me straight answers, I feel confident I am getting the work I need and not overselling things I don't. I've been to other dealerships where you feel they are telling you things that need replaced just to make money off of you when you don't need it. I've never felt this way about Auffenberg VW. Straight forward and honest. Hard to find integrity at dealerships, but this one nailed it!

Bought our 2013 Jetta wagon in another state before moving here. I had service at another dealer in St. Louis and shortly after the car developed vibration and noise in the front end. We took the car to Auffenberg because they were closer and they diagnosed damaged wheel bearing and bent rim and fixed it under warranty. After a little more driving the noise was still there, and they checked the front end and determined the drive axle needed to be replaced, again under warranty, with no hassles. Larry was careful and thorough in seeing the real problem was diagnosed and arranged for the repair under warranty. I have had repairs on another VW there and been happy with the results although the routine service appts. seem a little expensive. One gripe I havewith Volkswagen is that all the VW dealers now have walk in appointments, which means even though I scheduled an appointment, I end up waiting longer but this is corporate's fault, not the dealers.

I always prefer going to the dealer because I feel as though they are VW mechanics and know my car better than a service company that deals in all makes and models. There is few autos better engineered than a VW. I love my new VW. Auffenberg Volkswagen is dreadful to deal with. They would not honor the VW offered APR because I had mentioned paying the car off sooner than 60 months. On top of that I have been trying to spend extra $$$ at the dealership to have my windows tinted and cannot get an appointment setup. Once they sell you a car you are no longer useful and will never get a response form the sales team. I hope the service is side is better managed. I had bought extra warranty at the time of purchase and was hoping to have my VW services done there.

You will find the best auto for the money with a VW. You will find a dealership that cares for nothing but the original sale at Auffenberg Volkswagen. Even the sales manager is too lazy (Mike Brewer) to return a call to spend more $$ for additional dealer add-ons. Customer service is not top of there list. I hope the service department at Auffenberg Volkswagen is better managed.

I was looking at new vehicles and Mark came out to ask if I needed help with anything. I told him I was just at the beginning of looking at new vehicles, but did know I wanted a sedan. He asked my price range and started showing me the Jetta's. I found the color and package that I wanted and Mark got me in and out of the dealership that same day in about 2 hours. Mark was the salesman that helped me and let me know what different cars I had to choose from and found out what I was looking for. I had a black car I was trading in and didn't really want a black car again...too much heat in the summer, it gets dirty easily, etc. We looked at all the colors they had in the Jetta. Then I saw a slick looking black Jetta with a chrome package and black leather interior and I knew it was the one. We test drove it and I absolutely loved the feel and handle of the car. During the drive the safety specs and making of the car were explained to me and I fell even more in love with it. And not only was the sales process simple, but every visit I've made to the Service/Parts department for oil changes, AutoButler, etc has been great! I'm glad I talked to Mark when I was shopping for a new car.

Dan made buying my new car so simple! I got prices from 5 dealers in the metro area....Dan at Auffenberg gave me his best price IN WRITING the first time. There were not any hidden fees or charges like at some places. I stopped by to see the car and he sent me on a test drive by myself (some dealers try and babysit you while you drive). I spent five minutes witn him giving him some basic finance info. Before I got off work that day he had me approved for 1.8% financing and all the paperwork ready. It was the easiest new car purchase I have ever made!! I will go back for my next new car!! He programmed my bluetooth and radio as well as showed me how the features worked before I left. Thanks Dan!!

I have been familiar with the dealership as they have been servicing my other jetta for the past 3 years. The service department has provided timely and efficient care for my vehicle. They have gone our of there way to take me offsite while my vehicle was being serviced. I shopped the area with other VW dealerships prior to my recent purchase and found the staff at all levels of the process to be courteous, friendly and eager to assist. The price was the best and the sales professionals were not pushy.

Customer Service rating would have reached 5 had the guy that does the "paperwork" been available. As the dealer is part of an "Auto Mall", one guy does this job for multiple dealers and we waited for hours to complete the deal. Great dealer otherwise.

When we first went to look for a new car, we knew we were going back to Auffenberg. We had bought a new Passat from them a few years ago. This go 'round we were after a Jetta. We test drove a Jetta SE with Thomas. We went back a week later with intent to purchase provided all our figures came out as we expected. Thomas was on a deliver so Philip worked with us. BOTH SALESMEN WERE SATISFACTORY! Philip worked with us to get us where we wanted to be as far as a trade-in price, final new car price and also payment (we had all this figured out on our own before going in). This experience with Auffenberg was so much faster and better than our last. When we bought our Passat a few years ago, it took 3 trips, countless calls with "NEW" offers and ALL day to finally buy it. When buying the Jetta, we were in at 10 and out by 2:30 on the same day!! We knew where we needed to be and it was a "do it or else" situation. Well, they did it! We were very impressed with our experience! Thomas and Philip both deserve a pat on the back for their hard work!

Overall they were friendly while shopping for a new car. My issue was that when given a price for the car with no trade in it was higher than sticker price. The car had somehow got 1200 in tires on it that was not on there yet. The car was off the lot when i first started looking so maybe but did not like how that was handled when buying a car and given a price more than the sticker. Felt like they were upping the price. Also, the auto butler is a complete waiste. I got a black car and it has scratches and a dent they said they would fix. The paint protection from auto butler has done nothing for the paint I can tell you. It in no way does a thing. I also do not like the dealership adding something like that on a car just so they can make more money. Adding pin striping is just anouther way for the dealership to make additional money on a car. If I could have found a 2010 on a lot with out these I would have bought it they were add on that I did not want.

My husband and I were looking to purchase a new jetta TDI, we went in knowing that much. We had a friend who recently bought a couple of cars from Auffenberg VW, and had nothing but great things to say about his experience so we drove 45 minutes to get a great new car buying experience. It was too, Melissa met us outside we told her what we were looking for and she grabbed some keys and showed us two different jetta TDI's. We drove them both she anwsered all our questions, we decided on one and went from there the process was as smooth as buying a car can be and when it's time to do it again we will come back to Auffenberg again!

After test driving several compact cars, I came into Auffenberg to do a second test drive on the VW Jetta TDI. It just confirmed that I love this car and with freezing rain & ice falling, decided to deal on the car. I had researched cars for 3 weeks and knew what I was willing to pay, what I wanted for my trade, my credit score & where I wanted the payment. Key thing to any car deal is knowing this information & be willing to walk away if you don't get it. Josh started me out $800 over sticker after adding some protection pkg to it and used the age-old four-square sales tactic. Was a little frustrated considering it was the last day of the month in an ice storm that they would waste my time with it, but I played the game & after more than an hour of negotiation, 4-5 different trips back & forth to the sales mgr & 4-5 different offers, talking directly to the sales mgr, I decided they weren't going to meet my price & told Josh to get my key to my trade. Ended up going from $800 over sticker to invoice, $3000 to $4500 for my trade, & cut over $300 off monthly payment from initial offer to final payment. It's all a sales game & you have to accept that the dealer is in business to make money, so you can't hold this against them. I'm sure they still made money on the deal, but I got what I wanted & it's all a compromise. Josh, Craig and the Finance Mgr were extremely friendly during the process, accommodating, & in the end I was very satisfied with my experience there. I hope my service experience is just as positive & am definitely willing to do business with them again.

My account was handed over to a different salesperson after the person I initially visited with was let go, and I am so glad. The first salesperson I had before Kati was almost insulting in how dumb he must have thought we were, too pushy, wanted us to just "sign" something agreeing that we were interested in one of the cars (oh by the way, with the full MSRP on that sheet of paper). I walked out the first time thinking, you just lost a sale. However, it was a totally different story with Kati. She was persistent, helpful, accommodating, and more importantly trustworthy. She listened and did her best to accommodate our requests and needs when it came to purchasing. I am so happy with my experience and am glad I got "reassigned"! I bought my first car from them 10+ years ago and I will probably buy my next as well.

This was my first vehicle purchase and Kati made it as easy as possible. She asked what I was looking for and why. She didn't try to push us over our budget or into anything we didn't want to look at. She was very honest about everything we saw weather it was good or bad, which is hard to find in a sales person. She made sure we knew all of the information about our vehicle as well. Everybody we met with to make this purchase was friendly and easy to work with, I was very pleased with my entire experience.

When my mother and I first walked in we were greeted by a sales associate. The sale associate then asked if we were looking at any specific car which I was interested in the jetta. Then she showed us the basic model that comes in a jetta and let us test drive it. I was not 100% sure that I wanted the jetta for my next car, so my mother and I were going to go to lunch and talk about the cars we looked at that day. Melissa (sales associate) offered and let us take a different jetta to lunch with us. After lunch the sales manager found me the car I wanted with the color and interior, which they had to trade with another dealer and brought it to their lot. The day I picked up my new car Melissa showed me all the features of my new car. She also offered to come pick me up from my home and bring me to the dealer. Its been a couple days and I am still getting texts from Melissa about how I like my car and that I can text/call her if I ever have a question.

I will never purchase a vehicle here or refer someone that I know. My salesman quoted me via email (he was the internet sales manager) a price for a very specific vehicle. I asked him again if it was the correct and he yet again told me yes it was the correct price for that specific vehicle. Once I got to the dealer he showed me a price that was $8000-$9000 more that the emailed price. When asked about it he didn't have any excuse or even an apology. That was just the tip of the iceburg of my horrible experience there. I don't like being lied to and pressured which is what I felt like had happened to me.

We went into the dealership to look at the diesel jettas. We had heard great things about the car. Josh was a great help in explaining all we needed to know. He gave us in the ballpark of what we wanted out of our trade-in. We left that night with a new jetta. What a way to end our vacation. We think its a great ride. Can't wait to see what kind of mileage we get.

we needed a new car. we have studied the jetta. we were hoping to purchase one a tad bit cheaper than what we paind for it. our salesperson was very nice. i am extremely busy, and really do noyt like filling out these reviews; but, mt salesperson called to ask us to do this.
