Not only did I get a LOWER payment on a new lease, but I got a better car than I had. Tony Oliva called be before my lease was up to tell me that the incentives were so good that it would pay for me to come in. He was right. Better car, lower payment, and with the Electric hookup, I'll be saving on fuel costs. I paid nothing. Just turned in my 2013 and drove off in a 2016.

I first tried to buy a 2016 Ford Fusion Hybrid. We agreed upon a vehicle and a price and I thought that I was going to get the car very soon. However, that vehicle, which was owned by another dealer was sold out from under my dealer. Thus my deal was dead. I got a tickler email a month or two later asking if I was still interested in buying a car from Bob Thomas. I indicated I was if they could find a similar car. I got a call back from Tony Oliva, the representative I had dealt with earlier saying that he had found a 2017 Fusion hybrid. Suffice it to say the dealership sold me the later model car at virtually the same price as the 2016 and I picked it up yesterday. All throughout the dealership and especially Tony worked on my behalf and I couldn't be happier with the sale. I recommend Tony and the dealership very highly.

Just bought a 2016 F150 from this dealer last week, and the whole transaction was stress free and very professionally handled. I am a haggler when it comes to large purchases, and our salesman Tony was very much a straight-shooter and played no games during the process. There was no going to check with the manager every five minutes, and never any pressure to buy anything I wasn't interested in. These guys are old school when it comes to operating with integrity and professionalism. This dealer has earned a new lifetime customer and I will be sure to recommend them to friends and family.

I wasnt really sure what I wanted, whether I would stay with a car, or go to the SUV level. I was concerned about financing and being raised by a "Car-Dad" I am much more knowledgeable regarding cars, dealers practices, etc than most females. So I tend to definetly have my guard up. The only thing I was sure of was the color I wanted my vehicle to be. I left a nearby dealer after feeling pressured to "lease" instead of buy, a vehicle I didnt really want...Stopped into Bob Thomas on a whim knowing that I had been kind of eyeing Escapes recently. Had another appointment at a different dealer after that. A vehicle in the 2nd row jumped out at me, I walked right over to it. Salesman Tony O. came out to greet me, was very approachable and non-pushy. Test drove the vehicle and I was ecstatic over it immediately. I put a hold on it, which I was told was fully refundable if the "final" numbers were not to my liking. That was a Saturday afternoon, and by Monday I was cruising off the lot in my Escape. Tony and his team had stayed in contact with me on Sunday regarding processing the financing, which I was shocked by, considering technically its not a banking business day. The finance Rep George was very helpful as well. Overall the vibe in the dealership was easy-going, professional and personable. All of the staff I interacted with were very helpful. Tony O. kept the paperwork very simple and explained everything as we went along. I didnt feel rushed or pressured one bit thru the whole process. There must be a reason they have been in business so long...Now I know why I never heard any bad comments about Bob Thomas Ford from anyone over the years. Would definetly recommend and would use again.

It is very rare these days where one can walk into a dealership and be greeting with a sales professional who has the foundation of what traditional customer service is. My husband and I experienced this with Tony. He provided quality customer care when working with us with understanding of our needs in a vehicle. Tony made us feel no matter what we spent, we were very important to him. Because of his knowledge, skills and experience, we purchased our 5th vehicle from Bob Thomas. It was certainly a professional, yet traditional, experience we expected, and we received just that when working with Tony. These people are easy to deal with in a town where you cannot take that for granted. Friendly helpful salespeople make you want to come back. I am happy with my car, the fifth in thirty years in Hamden. I recommend Bob Thomas and Anthony Oliva. Tell them Paulie sent you. But they are too modest, they need a bigger sign so you have to look sharp.

My wife and I originally went to other dealerships looking for another vehicle that we could grow into with our 2 boys. Something that we could travel in comfortably but everywhere we went we got that "dealer feeling" that feeling of being pressured to buy something, anything immediately. And you can tell that a sale is more about them than about your needs. But that is not the feeling that I got from Bob Thomas Ford, specifically from Tony Oliva. Tony came recommended to me by my parents that are long time (happy) customers of Bob Thomas Ford and have dealt with Tony. So I decided on my next trip to CT I would go and see if it was worth the hype and if I would get that dealer feeling. But I didn't get that pressured feeling. Tony was upfront and honest about EVERYTHING. I went back to NY feeling that this could work even though buying out of state can be a hassle. Tony made such a great impression on me that I knew it was worth a shot. Tony and I had countless conversations over the phone about the vehicle that he recommended based on our needs and wants even though at the time I was unsure he knew it was the perfect fit and he bent over backwards to get me info that I needed because I was in NY. Without a stand-up guy like Tony this would have never happened and smoothly at that! I was able to go back to CT on a Sunday and everything was in place and ready for me to sign and drive. Tony had done all of the leg work beforehand so that it could go as smooth as possible. He treated me as if I was Family and that's what made his service so great! He was so accommodating and put me at ease that it made it me feel like I had known him for years. I am so grateful for the service from Tony and he is a great reflection of what Bob Thomas Ford is all about!

I have had my first car for over 7 years, so searching for a new car was very difficult for me. I was pleasantly pleased to be able to go to Bob Thomas Ford and work with Joe C. and Tony O. in finding myself something I would be pleased with. I will admit that at first I was very picky, but Tony helped me to realize what exactly I wanted in my SUV and what would really leave me driving away satisfied. He was very helpful in answering all of my questions, and the process was honestly very easy with all of the hard working people at Bob Thomas Ford. Although, there was one set-back when picking up my car, but Tony made sure that everything was accounted for and he made sure that I was happy! Great customer service, and truly great people to spend your time with when you're trying to make the best choice for yourself. I have had my care for 2 weeks already and I am loving every minute! I had been searching for a car all weekend. On Labor Day my son and I decided to go back to Bob Thomas where I had bought my last car 15 years ago. The place was busy as you can imagine, but we were greeted by Tony Oliva and my hunt was over. He listened to what I was looking for and suggested a car for a test drive. While we drove he listened to what I needed in a seat because I drive for work. When we got back, despite the craziness of Labor Day, Tony was able to find just the right car for me, at a price we could agree to. Tony was a true gentleman. He made the pick up process even easier, helping me to sync my phone and setting me up for a class. The next day, he checked in with me to make sure I was okay. we bought two cars from them over the weekend, one used and one new. Tony, George, Joe and Colby were very easy to deal with and gave us a fair deal. My mom being older and not understanding technology that well has gone back several times and each one, including service, have gone out to help her. They made sure she had new tires and breaks before she left with the car and any recalls were taken care of. As for my new escape they gave me what i asked for with my old escape plus the zero percent financing. I would highly recommend them

We recently purchased my new 2015 Mustang from Bob Thomas Ford. My husband found my "Dream Car" car online. I called the next morning and Angelina gave me all the info on the car. She worked diligently making sure everything would be all set when we arrived. We had a 2 1/2 hour drive round trip. We were very happy with the amount we recieved for our trade-in. Angelina did a wonderful job showing me how all the devices work on my new car If Angelina was busy with another customer or not at work she had made sure that we had a back up name of another team member to help us. We always spoke to a live person- never went to voice mail. Angelina came in on her day off to assist us in picking up my new car. It is fantastic how "The Bob Thomas Team" works together to make the purchase run smoothly for the customer. I recently purchased a new car from Bob Thomas Ford and I am blown away at how well I was treated. I was down from Attleboro MA visiting family when my old beater died. I dealt with Colby and John and I would drive down to Hamden in a heartbeat to deal with those guys again. They treated me with respect from the minute I walked in the door. I came in on Saturday at 11AM and picked up my new 2015 Ford Focus Sport Sedan at 3PM. This speaks for itself on how great the service was. I was nervous because I had not purchased a new car in years and frankly it was not a good experience. Then I went to Bob Thomas Ford and found out what a difference a reputable dealer does. I had gone on line to get preapproved. Tony Oliva called me to set up an appointment which I did. From the beginning he was courteous and knowledgeable. Before we even spoke on how much it costs he had me ride the car so I can experience how it operates. Then he had me meet George Clomon, the Business Manager, who worked on getting me financed. Again it was so easy, simple and fast. No hassles at all. He made me smile even more than I usually do when asking me what time I wanted to pick up my new car. When I did come Tony took me out and again explained all the things I was getting with this car in detail. I am even going to a class to learn about all the devices. As I was driving out the Manager of Bob Thomas came out to thank me and congratulate me on my new car and welcomed me to the Bob Thomas family. After many years of having my non-Ford vehicle serviced at Bob Thomas Ford, I was considering a new purchase/lease. My Service Advisor for 10+ years, Ed Liebel suggested I speak with Glenn Sawyer, xxx't Sales Manager. Glenn and I met and he was very cordial and knowledgable and put together a proposal for leasing a 2015 Fusion recognizing the competitive offers I had received.We were getting fairly close to a deal with a few outstanding negotiating points that needed to be resolved. Glenn called in Colby, the Sales Manager, who reviewed the plans and finalized the deal. During this time, I had two test drives with John Danbury who was outstanding in his detailed knowledge of the operating features and rtechnology of the vehicle. He was better than the manual...When it came time to do the financial, I sat with George who worked out the best arrangement for me based on my needs and reviewed it step by step and clarified each point in the process. During this entire experience it was truly a team effort ,,The group was courteous,efficent and professional.making it a very positive buying experience at Bob Thomas Ford. I just had my Mercury Grand Marquis serviced here after have trouble getting the car into the selling dealership. Bob Thomas Ford took my car without an appointment and did the oil change and brake job without issue. The car was done in about 4 hours (not bad considering I just showed up without an appointment). They also honored my Ford service coupon and gave me a certificate for free replacement front pads as long as I own the vehicle.

Went to Bob Thomas Ford for a new car. First of all they seem to have the best selection of cars in the area, possibly the state. Tony Oliva was our salesman, and he is the best. He showed us all the features of the car, answered all our questions; both my wife and I test drove the vehicle. Everything was done as promised, car was ready on schedule, etc. After the sale, when we got the car home, we noticed a scratch across the dash that is hard to see unless the light hits it. Even though the scratch affected two large pieces of plastic, Tony arranged to have the pieces replaced, and sure enough the repair was done for free, and we have a perfect car. By the way, the new Ford Escape's are wonderful in every way and quite nice looking in my opinion. We are satisfied customers.

Bob Thomas Ford recommended an unnecessary wheel alignment for my car. When asked whether the recommended alignment was necessary, Gary Shelomis, service manager, confirmed that it was necessary and that it needed to be fixed before I could drive the car. Because of the $130 price of the alignment, I asked for second opinions from Firestone and Town Fair Tire. Both reviewed a printout of Bob Thomas Fords alignment measurements and advised that an alignment would not be necessary and that $130 would be excessive for an alignment even if it were necessary.

I came to Bob Thomas to check what was wrong with my car (ford)-the engine light was on and transmission light was on. I felt it was urgent. I just wanted them to hook up my car to the computer and did quick diagnosis. I was told to set up an appointment for next week. I asked to be seen sooner ( I did not want to drive my car with this lights on)- I was refused and told that if I do not want to drive my car I can park it there and get a rental for a week. I did not stay there. I found another ford dealer which helped me the same day and solved the problem- it was only computer error.

I have been a customer of Bob Thomas ford for several years and have always been treated exceptionally! From the sales department, to parts and service and the body shop everyone at the dealership is nothing but helpful and pleasant to work with. As an example when I purchased my last new vehicle, an F150 my husband was working and didn't have time to take delivery and pick up the truck. The staff at Bob Thomas ford offered to deliver it to my home! That's customer service! I'd recommend them to anyone in the market for a new ford or any used car. Very fair and very honest.

Just purchased my third new car from Bob Thomas Ford. It's the only place I go for new cars. I trust them. The staff is friendly, understanding and knows thier stuff. I was unsure what car would best suit my needs so our sales person spent most of the day letting me drive whatever car I wanted. When I settled on an Edge, Bob Thomas Ford found me a fantastic financing rate. If I have questions about my cars, the staff answers them. When my cars need service, I receive a full report of what is needed, when it is needed, and the cost. There is just no reason for me to give my business to any other dealer.

I go to Bob Thomas Ford for all my service needs. Their expert work and advice has allowed me to stay with my Explorer for 200,000 miles. Without hesitation I went to Bob Thomas Ford looking to replace my Explorer not knowing exactly which model I really wanted. The staff was so attentive and knowledgable they listened to how I use my cars and helped narrow down my choices. I drove 5 cars that day, both new and used. It came down to either one of the certified used cars they had or to go with a new one. In the end I chose a new Edge. The whole process was seamless from start to finish. I never felt rushed or pressured. When I asked if they could have it ready today, no problem. The car was ready by the time we finished the paperwork. Then they took the time to make sure I understood all the new Syc systems and walked me through the settings. While all this was going on, the service department was working on my 200,000 mile Explorer that I intend to turn over to my son. That too was done by days end even though I procrastinated on whether to fix it or not. I left feeling very satisfied with the whole process and love the Edge.

Last month I was in the market for a new car. I spent a lot of time online researching what I wanted. I was downsizing cars as well, and was pretty sure what I was looking for and the price range I wanted to stay within. I only went to one dealer, and Lexi (at Bob Thomas) was an excellent choice. She listened to my needs, did not try to upsell me and the overall experiences was low stress and very pleasant! I was overjoyed with all the financial aspects of the deal, along with the financing. No complaints at all and I love my Fiesta! and one more thing...I had put off buying a car because I was afraid of a bad experience (after having many over the years); I would recommend (and will go back) to Bob Thomas anytime.

Call dealership before taking long trip (100 miles) to see a used car. Was told that the vehicle was still available. Upon arriving at the dealership to see the vehicle was informed that the manger had taken the car home for the weekend to show it to prospective buyer and had sold it. Apparently left hand does not know what the right had is doing in this dealership.

I went to Bob Thomas Ford as I needed to get out of a Subaru Tribeca. It was a great car but cost a lot to run and I drive a lot in my job. LEXI got me a wonderful trade and with the help of their finance wizard I was able to buy a 2009 Ford Escape. LEXI was professional, caring, and totally committed to working a deal with me. It was a dream to drive and I loved it. About 2 months ago I was involved in a serious accident and my car was totaled. I was completely unhurt except for a friction burn on my wrist when the air bag deployed. I am here to tell the story, so that says a lot. But, Lexi, the finance wizard, and bob Thomas staff who have all been wonderful to me once again did a superb job for me. They helped me negotiate through the paperwork of the totaling of the old Ford and got me into a 2011 Ford Escape. I am thrilled with her. She is just as fine as her predecessor. With LEXI and the finance wizard, they got me a sweet deal. I ended up paying less monthly for a newer car with all of the same advantages as my first escape. If you want a more than a fair deal and wonderful people to work with and for you bob Thomas Ford, LEXI, and the finance WIZARD are the way to go.

My dad bought a $33,000 car from Bob Thomas Ford about a year and a half ago. He recently lost his job and reached out to Bob Thomas Ford to buy the car back. Bob Thomas Ford turned its back on my dad. My dad went to Ford of Branford and spoke with the used car manager who made him an offer, contacted the bank and took care of the whole thing. I am so grateful for Ford of Branford and am planning to upgrade my Taurus soon and will be giving Ford of Branford, not Bob Thomas Ford, my business!

I was in the market for a new car, and I have a few family members who have bought cars from bob thomas. I received the extremely bad service from Evan and Colby. It was very uncomfortable and forced. I do not recommend anyone even go to bob thomas, based on their service. When all Evan wants you to do is sit down at his desk and sign paperwork, Colby is running numbers to try and get an affordable payment, anyone who has a loan payment calculator can come up with an "affordable payment". It seemed like they creating discounts so that the car would seem affordable, unfortunately you have to take taxes, DMV fees, warranties, GAP, etc. into consideration. Going down to Bob Thomas Ford was a huge waste of timeAgain, I do not recommend anyone do business here.

As soon as I walked into the door, I was greeted by everyone in there and asked if I would like some water, coffee, etc. The one employee that I had been talking to via email was running late with another customer, another employee stepped in for the time being and showed me to the car that I had wanted to see and took me for a test ride. All the employees I talked to were super sweet and we had actual conversations for the time I was there. I didn't feel like they were just trying to sell me a car; they got to know me and worked really hard for my best interest. I got a great car at a great price and it was very easy because of the employees at Bob Thomas Ford. My mom who is thinking of buying a car in the near future plans on going through them again because they helped made buying a car as painless as possible. Lexi has stayed in touch with me to make sure the car is working just fine and I am very pleased with the service at this dealership!

Made appointment at 7:30 a.m., still no work or info at 2 p.m. after third call. Unresponsive, and will not go back. Wanted to charge $160 to tell why the change oil light came on. Plugging the car into the diagnostic machine shouldn't cost that much or take 7 hours. I walked back to my apartment thinking it would be an hour or 2 as promised, ended up without a car all day, and got nothing accomplished. Glad I didn't wait in the waiting room.

I was in the market for a new SUV recently and used the internet to do as much research as possible. After using the build and quote system at Ford's website, I received automated responses from 3 dealerships, but only one phone call the same day regarding my web inquiry. This fast in person response was from Lexi at Bob Thomas Ford. She had the exact vehicle I was looking for in stock and offered to hold it for me until I had a chance to bring my wife down to see it. I made it down and took the test drive, met some of the other salespeople at the dealership and had an opportunity to see my options in a "no-pressure" environment. In the end, I ended up buying a totally different vehicle than the first one I had a deposit on, based on a variety of factors. Lexi and the dealership bent over backwards for me to get me in my new SUV the same day. I and my company will continue to buy from Bob Thomas and Lexi for our future vehicle needs. Overall= Great Experience!

I was looking for an SUV and had been comparing a few models. I was pretty sure I wanted the Ford Edge and I was recommended to Bob Thomas Ford. It was a pleasure working with them. Lexi was great! She found the exact car I wanted and was able to work out a fair price (I had done my research on dealer invoice etc). But it was the customer service that sealed the deal. I lived out of state, so Lexi jumped through hoops in accommodating what I needed. They even kept the dealership open later so I didn't have to make a separate trip the next day. I also had to have them check something the next day and the service department was great. I didn't have an appt but they took me right away and fixed the issue right there. If you're looking at Ford, I would definitely recommend Bob Thomas...ask for Lexi.

I rated this place good on friendliness because it was. However, the treatment I received negates this. I was over quoted on price at all levels, and when I showed Lexi proof her prices were off I was basically treated like a liar. What was my proof? That I had bought the car at another dealership for $2,000 less. Then she tried to convince me that the price difference was because I had a different car built, which was not the case. Then she tried to convince me that it was cheaper to build a car then it was to receive one that was already on the lot. A car built today cheaper than one built 6 -12 months ago.Finally, when I tried to give her advice on dealing with customers that are well informed because of the internet she responded with: "I appreciate your feedback. I will take it as constructive critisicsm but I hope to clarify a few things before this is over......." and "I am very happy that you found the vehicle you were looking for and got a price you felt was fair. I feel bad that we could not have gained you as a customer as Bob Thomas Ford still remains #1 in customer service satisfaction in Connecticut.I would not know about their customer service because I went elsewhere and got treated with respect.

I drove to Hamden CT. from ATLANTA GA. to spend some time with my family. On the way to Hamden, I discovered A unuasual noise in my vehicle. as soon as I got to Hamden I took my suv to BOB THOMAS FORD to have them chack out the noise. I was unde the imperssion that I would have to wait A day or so to get them to check the noise out . Not only did they take my vehicle in right a way & correct but the servicemanager brought to my attention some other things that need fixing which he did. I was very pleased that I took my suv to them.other wise I would'nd have known about the other things needed addressing.The next time I drive my car to HAMDEN CT I'm going to take my vehicle to BOB THOMAS FORD just to get it all checked out Thank You All at BOB THOMAS FORD. The dealership goes the extra mile when it comes to service. I've been dealing with them going on 6 years and I've found that they are honest and try to geniunley help in any way they can. When my Taurus broke down, they not only dropped me off at work, the picked me up and went over my options for service when work was through. I ended up buying another car from them as they were so nice to me in the first place.

About a month ago I brought my 06 FEH in to the dealer for a warranty repair on the E-Brake. I had noticed that it no longer worked at all, and I could pull it up well above the normal range of motion. After I picked the vehicle up from being fixed, I immediately noticed a squeeking noise coming from the rear of the vehicle. I brought it back to the dealer who told me I would need to re-schedule a day to be without my vehicle again and leave it for them to look at. I was already pretty annoyed at this point since they handed me my vehicle back with a different problem than what I brought it in for.After my second trip to the service department, they explained they had knocked a brake cover out of alignment when they were fixing the e-brake and it should be all set now. They still could not explain how they gave me a vehicle back that they had broken something else on without fixing it.On my drive home, I turned left...and guess what, a loud grindingsqueeking noise resnoated from the rear of the vehicle. I drove back to the dealer, who then once again explained that they had other scheduled repairs, and I would need to bring the vehicle back. Once again, they had given me my vehicle back with a problem.It went in a third and final time, where the department was rude to me and told me I was making up the problem, because the couldn't find it. I took a drive with the technician who stated that that sounded like a brake problem, however he had to ask the manager to put it up in the air...guess what...the manager said that there was no problem.I am taking my vehicle to Mantilia Motors in West Haven...maybe they will be a bit better
