Had the best car buying experience we have ever had at Capital Ford of Charlotte. Everyone at the dealership was beyond friendly and genuinely seemed to enjoy their job. Brandon Brown helped us upgrade from our 2019 Expedition to a new 2021 Expediton and from start to finish he was top notch. Incredibly knowledgeable and honest, definitely knows his stuff and won’t try to pull anything over on you. Steve in Sales and Matt the Business Manager were also great to deal with as was Saba from Internet Sales (I believe). The negotiation process and paperwork process was also very smooth and easy. We are already planning on our next car purchase with the folks at Capital and we just took our new car home today.

The experience I had with this dealership was not acceptable. I went in to test drive a car, and I sat waiting to test drive the car, while all along the salesmen were trying to get me approved for the car. I didn't get to test drive the car until the salesman had nearly sold me the car. In the future, if you guys are going to have good customer service ratings, please make sure your salesmen are not so aggressive. I literally just came in to test drive a car. The salesmen just wanted a sale.

Capitol Ford of Charlotte is a Complete ripoff! I purchased a certified Pre-owned 2014 Mustang with 4,000 miles, one owner, no accident, very clean car! What I got was a 2014 mustang that had an accident reported with another vehicle, side airbag deployed, vehicle not deemed not derivable, severe damage reported. And the only way i found this out was when I went to trade the car into another dealer a year later. And they told me the car is worth half of what I paid for it even tho I've only put on 10,000 miles on the vehicle. They went out of their way to lie to me and to make sure the vehicle was officially in my hands that they brought the vehicle that same Saturday evening at 9pm all the way to my house in Asheville NC which is two hours away, and demanded the down payment immediately. The dealership agreed to keep it on the lot for me. Now I have been trying to keep contact with Kirk - Used car manager. But after a week of giving me the runaround, according to him the only thing he CAN offer me is a maintenance plan. Capitol Ford you lied to my face. You made sure this car was off your lot ASAP. And then lied about knowing of the accident, and now you're offering me a service plan, which means you admit to the mess up you made. DO NOT do business with these people. I asked for a compensation after loosing at least $12,000 in value due to your lies and I basically was told to go screw myself. This will be posted all over the web and shared with the news channel as well. Also you will be receiving a letter from my lawyer this week unless we can come to a HONEST and REALISTIC compensation agreement on making this right.

Filled out a credit application on line, just don't like the dealership waiting and hassles. Cathy returned my phone call and said they would be glad to work with me. I asked her if I was approved because I live 45 minutes away. The response she gave me was" the finance department told me to call you, if they wanted me to do that then I was approved. I got to the dealership and after about 1 1/2 hours I was told I had to put down a substantial amount of money and plus have a cosigner. Neither one of those options were relayed to me by Cathy. They didn't want to take the time to work with me just because I had a challenging credit record. But they did take the time out to ask me what happened to my credit how it was so good before. I have a 55000.00 vehicle that was paid off. I also have a 400,000.00 mortgage that is in my name that my ex-wife is living in. I proceeded to them them between being in the hospital and on life support for several weeks for a couple of times and went through a divorce in 2014. They said all that was no problem. After waiting then they said that that was what I needed. This proves to me that in my previous years with great credit they would have made a deal, but having a challenging credit they will not work with you. JUST LIED!!!

I came to the dealership with an apathetic attitude, as most of my car buying experiences have been less than stellar - to say the least. I was greeted by Shaquiel, and after conversing with him, I quickly realized he is an ambitious, level-headed young man with a very promising future. He didn't make me feel pressured into a sale, and with the amount of time he spent getting me comfortable with the idea of purchasing a new vehicle, I knew he wasn't just blowing smoke. The process, while lengthy, was well worth it. The service was stellar, and I would recommend anyone looking for a new Ford (or any other used vehicle) to visit Capital Ford - Charlotte. I went to this dealership twice before buying a car. The first time they let me look around and didn't push too hard. I came back a month later and got to test drive another car I was interested in. On the way back we got into a bit of an accident. I really appreciated that Ken asked me how I wanted to proceed and didn't push me into staying and buying a car because of what happened. The friendly atmosphere did seem to change when we got down to the money talks, but I'd like to give it the benefit of the doubt and blame it on the long day. Overall, I was able to get a car I love and a very interesting story to tell my friends.

Crossroads backed out of there deal, Lums wasn't willing to budge, Hilbillish liked to talk a lot but had no results. I was recommended by a friend to go visit Darnell. Upon arrival I was greeted swiftly and in typical southern hospitality fashion by Omar. Through and through Omar took care of myself and my fiance as if he had known us for several years. Darnell, as well as his entire team, treated us like family and we could not have asked for a better experience. I went to the dealership to trade in a 2014 Mustang V6 for a new 2016 model. My sales person, Andy, was very knowledgeable of the three types of the 2016 model as I test drove each one. I ended up buying the 2016 GT. The reason I ended up buying from Andy was because he was not pushy nor did he "bs" anything about the cars or promotion going on. I highly recommend him if you are in the market for any vehicle at this dealership as he is very personable, honest and extremely helpful in the car selection process.

When I took my 2004 Ford focus the capital Ford in for repairs I had no idea that I would be buying a brand new car that day. The repairs I needed would have ran me around say $400. I wasn't all that excited about coughing up the 400 bucks for auto repairs -- who would be -- but I was willing to take the L and get back on the road.While I was waiting on one of the technicians to give me a lift home, I decided to look around the car lot.That's when Brandy greeted me with a warm smile and asked me if I If was being helped. I told her that I was just looking and gave her a whole spiel about how I had bad credit and I could never be approved for any type of car loan. She smiled and said let's go inside and talk. We sat down and she asked me a few preliminary questions, you know the requisite where do you work, what's your gross income etc. Then she disappeared into an office and came back and said I have something I think you will like.The next thing I know she was pulling around the corner and a brand-new Ford fusion asking if I was ready to start the paperwork.Brandy has an easy-going no pressure approach and I would recommend her -- and I will recommend her -- to anyone that's looking to buy a car.I had a great experience.

I was on the fence of buying a 2016 Mustang GT because I had just purchased a brand new 2015 Accord Sport and knew I would lose a few thousand on the trade in. First off, the Mustang GT is an awesome car, I told myself it would have to be a magical test drive to convince me, and man was I astonished. The speed and sounds this car makes is amazing. Anyway back to the review, cost was important to me and my man Omar Lawrence worked like a dog to not only get me the price I could be at peace with, but also the car and options I wanted. In addition, to convince me further that I was making the right choice while I waited for the car I wanted, the manager let me drive home a similar model for an entire week in absence of my future car at the time. I was a VIP customer during my entire experience!

He was great. Stayed in touch with me because i live 100 miles away. They also got me where i wanted to be with my trade and walk out price with vehicle i purchased. I got hit on September the 10 and it was the other drivers fault.To make a long story short my car was totaled.I only had it a month.His insurance paid my vehicle off but I had a balance.Well here I am with this balance by the way was high.Now who wants to give me a car now.I will tell you who Capital Ford in Charlotte NC and the wonderful wonderful people there.Especially Steve Johnson.I will be back and will tell everybody I know if you want to get a car go to Capital Ford Charlotte !!!!!!!!!

I've been coming to this dealership since 2006. I have spent a lot of money. When I bought my vehicle to this dealership I asked for an oil change and tire rotation and balancing. I also advised that my vehicle air conditioned and heated seats are not working and if they would take a look and tell me what is wrong. I asked if could be a fuse. When my vehicle was ready I asked what was the result of my seats and I was advised that I have to take to the service side and there would be a charge. My complaint is I have been a loyal customer for 9 YEARS and I can't get my vehicle checked out at the same time it is being serviced and for free. Where is the customer service loyalty. I am in the service industry and we have loyal persons that spend a lot of money and they get perks to come back to us.

I thought I was pleased with everything but am finding the follow through is not up to par. 1. According to Ford Credit, the 2015 Escape has been sent him but the payoff of the 2011 Escape is still showing. Ford said I was technically still responsible for this account even though I do not have the vehicle. I would appreciate your taking care of this immediately as Ford will be taking out two car payments the beginning of August one for 2011 and one for 20152. Just checked with insurance co. and found there was not any coverage showing for the 2015 Escape and I have been driving around without insurance since 7-4. Capital got my insurance co name and policy number. Why was I not told there would be no coverage until I called the ins. co. I don't trade every day and had no idea I did not have coverage.3. I was told my license plate was still good. I have not heard from Raleigh showing the correct registration. Has this been done? or is the something I need to do4. I had a coupon from Capital Ford for a free mini Ipad value $589. I was told I would receive something in the mail letting me know when I could pick it up. Has this fell through the cracks also as I have not heard anything

I came to the service center on a Tuesday afternoon around 5:30pm, I was upset with my previous experience that I had with the service center at Ford. I came in I wanted to speak with a manager to explain my situation about getting my car serviced, I spoke with the manager about my situation he guaranteed that he could get my car up and running and that I would leave the service center with a totally different experience than I had previously. From the time I came on the lot on Thursday afternoon and meet Robbie looked over the F150 Lariet I was totally at ease dealing with Robbie. Came back on Friday got with Robbie again looked at the truck, went over what I could expect to get for mine. Another gentleman joined us at that time ( I wish I could remember his name he was absolutely respectful) scratched out a deal then headed into Dean's office for financing. Could not believe how through he explained every thing about warranty, financing and service. Then spent time with Michael in delivery who was also an expert in his job. Came back in on Thursday the next week looked over sheet listing all items on truck it showed electric brake controller ( one of the major reason I bought the truck I pull a 9400 lb camper ) could find it was told then it didn't have it and showed me on bottom of sheet the tiniest letters not responsible for miss information. Was upset then but Michael called around trying to help me get one installed. Overall was the best experience trading a vehicle I have ever had. Have already recommended Capital Ford to several others to buy from.

The only thing I did not like was the fact that while I was waiting in the lounge for my car to be serviced, several sales advisors approached me, pressuring me to trade my car. Initially their approach did not irritate me, but after being consistently pressured, I began to feel uncomfortable. Next time I prefer to leave my car and come back, so I do not have to wait in the lounge.

This is a follow up, correction note R/E "Haggled to death". As soon as the Executive Manager heard about a customer negative review, he called me in right away. He apologized for the Sales Team Leader, Mr. Allen who had hurriedly made deals that was supposed to help me, but didn't take time to explain to me how all those figures he obtained was going to impact the bottom line,' how much I was going to owe' and factor my trade in there, so I could make an informed decision on whether to trade now, or wait for a better deal. I understand it was all about the sell, but I took it personally because I wasn't given the right information I was seeking to make a choice. For that, the Executive Manager apologized. It was all a big misunderstanding because now I see everything was working, but it didn't look like it was for my good because of too many changes. As a customer, I just couldn't keep up and process everything that was going on looked to me like something was being hidden in the figures. The Executive sat down and went over all the figures with me. He couldn't find where a mistake was made. He pointed out and added up my savings in how much Ford gave which amounted to more than True Car certificate estimated, to my surprise. He also talked about the time constraints in car buying and selling has become tighter in the new markets today. He stated that if you are a nervous person, as I am, about car buying as it is a major purchase, it would be wise to call the Manager a few days before you decide to buy, tell him what you want, how much you want to pay and how long you want the contract for and he can go to work for you. That way, he can have everything all lined up, show you your options, how you can save, ect., and head for a satisfactory, easy car buying experience. That is what I wanted when I went there. I wanted information, but it is a true fact that the business is made to sell. A phone call ahead would have been better. The salesman Rick, I can't say enough about his passion for good, safe cars and standing by the product he sells. He went out of his way in professional presentation of the new car's performance on the lot, on the road and demonstrated all of it's features. He is knowledgeable, hard working, pleasant and talks about the importance of customer's safety and what is being done to protect the customer. He leaves you with a contact number to call with any questions, or concerns. He follow- up with customers to see if everything is performing to your satisfaction. Ask for Rick when you enter the show room at Capital Ford, you'll be blessed. Have a nice day.

After dealing with unprofessional service at the body shop when my previous vehicle was totaled, immediately one of the sales Rep, who was standing down at the body shop, informed my fiance' an myself that everything would be okay. He instructed us to meet him at the sales floor to begin the process of putting back me on the road. I met with the same Rep (Rick Johnson) that helped my fiance' and myself prior with our vehicles, he made us feel comfortable as he explained to us what would happen by giving us a detailed outline of the process from what the insurance company would do, how quickly the turn around would be an when to expect the purchase of the new vehicle. After taking all the information down he went to work on the car that I picked out. We left the dealership an at 5:26pm that Friday evening he called to tell us that all was ready and to come get the car. We made an appointment for that following day at 12noon, we met him at 10:26am that Sat and by 12:56pm I was riding out of the dealership parking lot with my new 2015 Ford Focus. I appreciate everything that Rick Johnson did and how comfortable, quick and efficient he was during the entire process. I want to thank Moose for again setting up my Nitrofil account an explaining all information to me as well. The team that worked with me was wonderful and I am over the moon once again. We had a ford fusion into the body shop for rework. The body shop painted the hood the year before and it started to lift and flack off. Everyone at the dealership was very nice, unfortunatly, it took an extra week longer than scheduled and was a little difficult to get an answer or update on progress. Overall experience was good and I would return again.

My expierance was okay the people were very nice. I didn't like having to drive back to Charlotte to get car cpo and have to fillOut a bunch of information again for rental and use my credit card for any damage or smoking, when the car smelled like smoke just someone tried covering it up. Wasn't close to the car I had in size I had to duck my head to drive it. Very disappointed in the rental lady .

A referral started my conversation with fleet director Dale Tesson at Capital Ford of Charlotte. I had done my research, and just wanted to special order a 2015 F350. After numerous negative conversations with 4 dealers local to my area, I chose to drive 7 hours to meet Dale and pick up my new truck (entire transaction handled online via email). Not only did Capital Ford of Charlotte meet my needs, they did it happily. When I arrived at the dealership, I was immediately greeted by Dale, completed paperwork with Jeff Dadisman, and then received vehicle orientation from Dale... all within 60 minutes... and then was on my way... but not before executive manager Rob Satter Jr. introduced himself and thanked me personally. I feel it is also noteworthy to mention that each of the team members I passed in the facility said hello in some form or fashion. Thank you CFOC, I'll be back.

I recently took my 2012 Ford F-150 in for it's 30,000 mile service. Tina C. who I absolutely adore. advised me that 5 to 6 people were ahead of me and it would be an hour wait before they could get it in. As there are a lot of people there that I like, Darnell B. Darrell B., Ken A., I went out front to speak with them. When my truck was brought in, Cyndi V. advised me that there were only 2 qts. of full synthetic oil that I use in my truck an they would have to go down the street to get some Mobil I. Because of the longer wait Cyndi and Tina took care of the bill. These two advisors are one of the reasons that I go to Capitol Ford for my service. Depending on which way I go, I pass by two other Ford Dealers. I am a firm believer in Factory Ford Service on my vehicles. I will continue to use Capitol Ford and recommend them to all my friends. We came to Capital on a friend's recommendation after a bad experience at another local dealership 3 weeks earlier. There should be more truth and transparency in pricing. I asked up front how much It would cost to get my fuel filter changed and was told a flat rate of $62.00. Not so,I was charged $67.53. Plus the junk fee (shop supplies) and tax that is always added on for a total of $73.17. A flat fee should be fee plus tax equals final price.

I brought my 2007 Mustang in for an over heating engine. Turns out the previous Ford Technicians at another dealership left the radiator fan unplugged/loose. Everyone at Capital Ford was very friendly. Andrew, my service agent, was excellent. I wish I could remember the name of my shuttle driver. He was great. Despite bad traffic we made good conversation and I went from a sour mood to a good one. Not a big complaint, but here's something I would've like to have seen:I had to leave my vehicle overnight before my vehicle could be diagnosed. So before learning whether or not my problem was covered by my BaseCARE ESP, I asked about a rental vehicle. I was told that because it was not yet known whether or not it would be covered by my ESP, a rental would not be covered until after a diagnosis. What would have been great is the option of getting a rental and A) paying for the rental if the issue was discovered to not be covered by my BaseCARE ESP or; B) having the rental covered if it was discovered to be a covered component that failed. Something like that.

The experience of buying our Ford Edge last week was very easy, I met with the sales person first and ask him to show me the Edge he seemed very informed about the SUV. I ask to make an appointment so I could bring my wife over and take a test drive. We came back the next day and drove the Edge and liked it very much and decided to pursue a deal. I had a price point I needed to meet and after a short negotiation we were able to come to an agreement. The sales people were very respectful of our needs pertaining to the car and our price point and also of our time. We were leaving in our new car just a couple of hours after our appointment. As I said the experience was easy and down right fun.

I had been getting messages from Lynette Ferrare for some time expressing that my '09 Escape had value as a trade-in. When I finally called she set up a VIP appointment for me to see Stephanie. Chris Hess welcomed me at the front entrance to the dealership, and took me inside to find Stepanie, who then left me in Chris' company as my sales rep. Chris was terrific (both friendly and professional) .... very organized and methodical in gathering info about me and my '09 Escape. I also met sales manager Jason and floor manager Jeff leading up to an agreement to trade my '09 and purchase a newer 2013 CPO Escape. Dean Ivester walked me through signing all the papers and ensured my understanding of Extended Warrany and Gap Coverage. Mike Moseler did the vehicle delivery with pride in FORD. I brought my 2012 Taurus in for an oil change and tire rotation. Tina is always very helpful, and got me out of there in a timely fashion. The reason I would not recommend the dealership to do repairs or oil changes to my friends is that you are more expensive than other mechanics. I come there in order to maintain the warranty on my tires. According to the contract, the tires will be replaced when needed free of charge, but only if the car is serviced at the dealership. When that is considered, it is worth the price :-) Tina Couch is definitely an asset to your business, making the experience less tedious than it might otherwise be.Nancy Freeman

The service was excellent as usual. The only issue I had was with the loaner vehicle that I was given over the weedend. This vehicle was presented to me and was filthy. I immediately took it to Auto Bell and had it cleaned inside and out before I felt more comfortable driving it. I rent many vehicles each year in my travels and have had a few that were dirty, but never one that was in this bad of shape. If you need your Ford serviced, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!! I have a 98 F-150 with a CEL on, so I figured that I would take it to Capital Ford for a full diagnostic and then do the work myself once the "experts" had told me exactly what is wrong. I had no idea that I would be dealing with a lying crook by the name of Mario Dereste. The diagnostic was supposed to be $110, but when I picked my truck up yesterday, they charged me $150. Why??? Under further investigation, Mario tells me that they had to add oil to my truck because it only had a quart in it when I brought it in. First off, I was never asked, nor did I authorize anyone to add anything or do anything to my truck besides a diagnostic. Secondly, what Mr. Dereste did not know was that less than 12 hours before dropping off my truck, I had done a full oil/filter change where I put in 6 quarts of oil, as per the manual's instructions. Did it leak out 5 quarts of oil in less than a full day? Of course not. And besides the fact that I know that didn't happen, the diagnostic report I received clearly states "NO MAJOR OIL LEAKS FOUND." I didn't even argue the issue too much because I figured $40 bucks wouldn't hurt me and it was worth the loss if it meant that I got my truck back and never had to come near Capital Ford again. What a shame!

Vehicle was at dealership for stalling out in the morning. Service department had my car for approximately 10 days, called me once to tell me it was ready; when we drove 45 minutes to get it, it was NOT ready. When I finally did get it back, $400 later, the problem reappeared the next morning. I had to go back to the dealership and demand my money be refunded. It was, minus $35 to "diagnose" my speedometer problem (needle was jumping/sticking). They told me it would cost $500 to replace DASH to solve speedometer problem. Once a fuse box/engine fan relay recall was repaired for free at another Ford dealership, my speedometer never had another problem. Also, the biggest problem with this service department was that they failed to tell me (after replacing various parts, including MAF sensor) that a WIRING HARNESS recall needed to be done to my vehicle which involved replacing the majority of the wiring in the engine. When this was finally done because I researched the recalls, another service department told me they were some of the worst wires (insulation cracking/falling off) they'd ever seen. Why did this dealership not see that?
