When it came to all of the paperwork required for buying my new car, Wendy was very easy to deal with. I felt soooooo very comfortable with her and her skills.Wendy is skilled and she is so very nice. She is one of those people who you just want to say, you are so very nice....can we do lunch. Jeez what a nice asset the CR Toyota is for this community. Check them out before you go elsewhere!!!!

Terry was extremely helpful throughout the buying process. He presented several options within my budget and explained the financing breakdown for each. He did not pressure me in to making a decision one way or the other but educated me on the benefits of each option. Bill was laid back and did a great job explaining optional add-ons. Also did not pressure me in to purchasing extras I did not want.Both were very personable and made the experience at CRT enjoyable and stress-free.

I have purchased several Camry's from Toyota of Cedar Rapids . I have always been impressed with the way the sales staff treated me and my family and they did not disappoint this time again . I found a beautiful car that I really wanted to purchase, and the staff both Spencer and Curt in financing went above and beyond to make sure that not only I could have my new car but they took care of a lot of things for me in order to make my purchase smooth during a trying time; they made sure that I was not only happy with my purchase but they let me know just how much they truly care about the Clientele they serve ... it felt more like family. I want to thank them all and I will never go anywhere else to purchase a vehicle not only because of the quality of the merchandise they are selling but because of how they bend over backwards to make sure you know they genuinely care about you and they follow it up with excellent service as needed .... thank you so much Toyota I love my 2016 cosmic gray metallic Camry ... ha ha I have named her Cosmic .

This dealership continues to exceed my expectations of what the car buying experience should be. I almost feel like I could just hit a "buy" button and everything would be done exactly the way I wanted and to my specifications. I know it's not quite that easy, but it feels that way.From sales, to finance, to the folks that walk you through your car after purchase, everyone is professional, knowledgable and courteous. They are not pushy! We just leased a 2016 Rav 4 and as always, it was a great feeling driving off their lot, knowing that they took care of me.

My experience with everyone I come in contact with this is so positive. Alan Makabi did an awesome job working with us and three years ago when we acquired our Corolla. I so enjoyed the Corolla now three years old and it was sort of hard to turn it in but we needed a bigger car with more safety features so got a Camry. Alan Makabi was so helpful and gave us several options until we found the one that would work. He was very focused and didn't give up on us when we had lots of questions and hesitation about making the change from a Corolla to a Camry.

I just bought a 2016 RAV4 and absolutely love it!!! Wish I would have bought it sooner. Toyota made everything quick and easy to do. Financial stuff wasn't as boring as you might think it is. Curt did a nice job keeping it up beat. Terry was amazing at showing me all the features that the RAV4 comes with. I kind of felt like a new employee on the first day of a new job. There was so much to take in, but Terry explained everything and went through it all. He even explained how the new dealership is laid out and where to go for my future service work. The CVS boot on our Highlander was replaced on one side in the last six months. Told me I needed to replace one without checking our history. It was the one they already fixed. Greg did apologize profusely and assured me the expense of replacing it again would be fully covered by them.That was over a $500 repair. It pays to ask questions.

I traveled over 7 hours to make my purchase of a new Tundra at Cedar Rapids Toyota, through the week both my salesman Alan and finance officer Wendy coordinated with me to ensure a smooth purchase. Upon my arrival Alan greeted me and immediately took me to the vehicle began a through familiarization and set-up of the vehicle applications, the vehicle was superbly prepped. Next with Wendy, financing was fast and efficient, the paperwork was ready to go and thorough. Both Tim Valentine (the salesman) and Curt Wiedemeier (the finance manager) were courteous and friendly. Both took as much time as needed to answer my questions. Tim was not high pressured and stayed close by as I wandered around looking at different options. He was knowledgeable with all styles. Curt was very efficient with the details on the financial end and only recommended what was needed and reasonable for me. Between Tim and Curt I was able to negotiate a deal that was satisfactory to me.

Had my RAV4 in for its 20,000 mile service. This dealer made it SO EASY - beginning with sending me an email to remind me to make the appointment & providing a link to the service department. Beautiful set up, optimum efficiency - didn't wait at all - got my RAV right in and completed the work while I waited in their modern facility where I enjoyed a nice piece fo Kathy's pie and had a cup of awesome coffee. I filled out their pre-qualify form online and got a call from Alan a few minutes later. He introduced himself and asked me about what I was looking for. I told him I was thinking of getting a 2017 Camry and we set up an appointment to meet the next morning. After we spoke he went out to the lot and sent me a picture of a Camry in the color, model, and features I wanted. When we met we test drive the car and afterward we went in to discuss finances. It was my fist time buying a car without my parents help and I do feel I got a fair price and was helped every step of the way! Bill helped me find the best financing option and everything was relatively quick and painless. I love my new Camry and definitely feel I made a good choice and got a good deal!

Hi. Spent 75 minutes in the shuttle for a 4pm pick-up back to the dealership. Need 2 drivers that time of day please. Then, at 5:20pm my car was not done (oil change and tire rotation at 10,000 mile plus a recall). Waited to locate a car for me to drive overnight. Kinda frustrating. Thank you.

I was pleased with the overall service appointment. I was a little surprised that after the last few visits and noticing that some of the lug nut caps had fallen off that this time I was approached about it and charged $7.00 ea for new lug nuts. It's a minor expense/detail but just a little surprised. I'll definitely return for service in the future.

I had called CR Toyota hoping that they would be able to meet my financial needs of getting the best possible minivan that could fit in my budget. Never in my wildest dreams did I consider a brand new van as an option, but within an hour, Alan Makabi had called me back and gave me the news that I could get a new minivan for $100 less than my maximum budget would allow! Since I do not live in CR, all of the conversations took place over the phone, and Alan was very willing to answer the multiple questions I had. Buying or leasing a car is not necessarily a fun thing to do. You are spending a bunch of bucks and counting on expert advice in an uncommon circumstance, with the expectation of selecting a vehicle that will serve you well for several years, at least. There can be tension, excitement, a degree of uncertainty as to whether you are getting the best deal possible, and a level of trust that must be placed in the persons handling the details of the purchase. We just leased our third Toyota in nine years from Cedar Rapids Toyota and in all three deals we worked with Alan Makabi. Alan is experienced, professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and he anticipated questions tailoring the experience to fit our needs. We will go back to C.R. Toyota again for our next lease and we hope that Alan will still be there to help us with the experience.

Spencer was amazing at helping me find the perfect vehicle for me. He was friendly and personable. I gave him my limit and explained what I was looking for and with a few test drives we had the car for me. He was extremely patient and helpful with me. He also didn't try to push me into a vehicle I wasn't interested in or couldn't afford/at the top of my budget. He made me feel like he cared and went well above and beyond what a typical car salesman would do. Bill was also very friendly and personableI. He walked me through all my financial paper and question and even though I'm sure I had some stupid questions he never once made me feel that way. My entire experience was one to never forget. Took my Toyota car in because check engine light was on. Had stopped at auto parts store on the weekend to have code read, as I was curious as to what was wrong. 20 something year old kid told me misfiring and he asked me how long since I had plugs and plug wires changed. I told him it had been a while. He recommended changing both. I decided to take it to CR Toyota. They told me problem with #3 spark plug and they changed all plugs. I assumed they checked the plug wires. Received call that my car was fixed. Drove it one day and my check engine light was back on. Took it back and they found spark plug wires were bad. They changed plug wires and hopefully that will fix it. They did give me free labor on changing the plug wires. ($40) Now my truck needs a service. I have it scheduled and after service I will be driving 500 miles round trip. I may just wait until after my trip just in case. I gained lots of respect for that 20 something year old kid at the auto parts store and a little less respect for the mechanic at CR Toyota who worked on my Camry.

Seriously the best experience I've ever had in purchasing a car. Stefan in Sales was great about communicating with me via phone, text, and email about the cars I was interested in, showed me the different features before the test drive, and was honest about the trade in value for my vehicle. Curt in finance was extremely helpful during the paperwork part. I had a snafu with the title of the car I was trading in; he gave me his cell phone number to call him the next day (even though he had the day off), if I had issues getting the title transferred at the courthouse. I am so, so impressed with this dealership; I had been shopping at a different dealership in a different town but never felt comfortable with how the experience was going with their sales department and sporadic and dishonest communication. I will definitely return to Cedar Rapids Toyota when it's time to find another vehicle for our family, as well as for any service appointments. Thank you for turning something I was absolutely dreading into an easy, wonderful experience.

We always understand the cost affiliated with the skills of your service department personnel. I do have a question about the price of parts for the repair. Can we purchase the certified toyota parts elsewhere and just pay for the labor? I'm sure you know how easy it is to find the parts and how much they cost. Just wondering so please let me know if that option exists as we have another service that needs attention. Thsnks

Specifically on this visit, we were overdue for our final 25k complimentary service as we were on vacation and went over. They still performed the service, and did it quickly. On an overall basis, I have had many opportunities where they could have really taken me to the cleaners, but recommended alternate repairs that were not as costly. Very trustworthy.

Wife had been considering a new vehicle, looked at several brands, new and used. Narrowed the search down to a new Honda or Toyota. Drove the Camry, went to lunch and discussed it's pluses and minuses. Stopped at Honda and drove the Accord, again discussed the pluses and minuses. We pressured ourselves because the sale on both was ending at sunset. Decided the Camry had more features we were interested in having, and the color selection was perfect, decided on the Ruby Red XSE. The results of the service and vehicle inspection were clearly explained to me by Jon Fridinger. His explanation was in "plain talk" thus facilitating my understanding of everything relating to my vehicle. I was pleased to find out that I needed no additional service or repair. I was extremely pleased to find my Tundra had been washed as part of the visit. The customer service area is extremely comfortable and a very pleasant place to wait for my vehicle.

We recently brought our 2006 Rav 4 to CR Toyota for a list of general maintenance (oil change, tire balance and rotation, etc.) and repair (serpentine idler pulley replacement) items. We dropped our vehicle off the night before. Greg promptly contacted me the next morning to confirm the list of services requested. He also kept me informed throughout the day on the progress of our car's service. The service technicians noticed an issue with the trailing arm bushings and Greg indicated it didn't make sense to complete an alignment (one of the services we had asked for) since the wheels would likely go out of alignment until the bushings were replaced. We appreciated his honesty and interest in saving us money. We'll schedule a follow-up appointment to get the bushings replaced.

We found the vehicle we liked on their web site and made the hour and half drive to the dealership and I can tell you it was well worth the trip. We had a great experience with Spencer T. He was very knowledgeable about the Sienna we were interested in and was patient with us on determining if it was the right one for us. We expressed some of our concerns with the van and he was able to answer all our questions and in the end made everything "right" with the van before we left the lot with our purchase. The other day I got a brand new car when I never thought I could afford it. I scheduled an appointment with Alan to see a car, and when I arrived the car had been sold in between the time we talked and the time we got there. They bent over backwards to help me after that! Both of them were amazing and we felt like we were treated as if we knew them. We immediately felt at home and after a short hour negotiation, we had purchased a new car. I know this sounds made up, but it is not. We originally were shopping for Hondas at Randy Keuhl and we did not meet anyone or see any vehicles that impressed us at all. My experience with the service on my car was excellent. But I was and am highly disappointed in the Shuttle area. The Shuttle driver Les dropped me off on Tuesday (5/3/16) at my house and was very considerate and helped me (I am 83 years old and walk with a cane) even up to my hose after leaving my car to be fixed.. BUT the one that picked me up (TOM (5/5/16) sat in the shuttle. When I got to the shuttle not knowing where I was going to sit I leaned on the side of the shuttle to keep my balance to reach and open the front door, at that moment he pushed the automatic opener for the slider door and i was leaning on it. I fell back flat on my back on the cement, my neighbor came running over and picked me up.. I did hurt myself in several areas . I made a report when I got to the dealer. What is very concerning I have been a customer since I bought my car new there in 2000, no one has had the courtesy to make a follow up call to see if I was alright to date (5/9/16). This would have been appreciated. I think Tom needs some serious training on safety in all ares of being a driver.

From the moment I pulled into the service garage I was met with helpful, friendly people (Greg McCoy). After I left my Avalon for a (10) minute check, I went into the waiting room where there were complimentary cookies (and not just from our local grocery store!), computers, a television and a stack of new magazines. Heaven! The service was so fast that I was on-my-way in no time. (Actually, I hadn't even finished my cookie!)I did wander into the showroom where the people were just as friendly. Whatever the training program Cedar Rapids Toyota uses, it's working ... friendly and highly professional employees.I had avoided going to the dealership, for service, because I thought it would be so much more expensive. As a 20 year old male, I got tired of the old Taurus and decided it was time for something a little sporty, as well as something that could get me through college and beyond. We recently bought a used Lexus through this dealship. It was the best used car buying experience we have ever had. Absolutely no pressure at all. Paul let us test drive several different cars then test drive them all again. He was easy to talk with and never did I once feel any pressure to buy. Infact, we actually left the dealership to go see another car with a different dealer, but as we were driving, we kept talking about how good of an experience we had at Cedar Rapids Toyota and how Paul was ok with us looking around. My 17 yr old daughter was blown into a ditch on a gravel road. Her car (Corolla) had to be towed out but she was able to drive it home. We brought it to the dealership to find out if there was any damage to the engine...etc. We picked up the car and were pleasantly surprised that there was not damage and that they did not charge us for looking at it! I truly had a great buying experience. I wasn't "attacked or stalked" in the parking lot like at other dealerships. I did not feel "pressured" into making a decision the way other salesman have made me feel (of course I did buy a Tacoma which is a high demand vehicle). It's not like they had to sell it to me because there literally was another guy waiting to test drive it if I didn't want it... But still I think they gave me a fair price and they treated me great. I look forward to many years of dealing with them for my routine maintenance. My friend's family has purchased several vehicles there and they recommended me to go there, which I am glad I did. Was very disappointed with the cost of service when I had called to ask how much this 30,000 service would cost, I was told $66. Well, it ended up being $105.13. I would have expected the service department to let me know they intended to replace filters prior to replacing them instead of after the replacement was completed.As over disappointing was a postcard we received in the mail after the service saying we could save $15 on a $100 service and parts! Hmmm, very convenient!Sincerely and not a happy camper! Feel like I was duped! First new car my husband and I have bought.I feel we were taken advantage of with the purchase price because of our inexperience and now this.

Such a great experience. Went in to renew my lease. Alan's communication and work before getting to the dealership was phenomenal! We spent time talking through the options and I ended up getting a pretty amazing deal on a new Rav4 limited. While already impressed with the service, Bill in the finance department is what made this experience standout. He went well above and far beyond what my expectations were and at the end of everything my payments were $70 cheaper!! Have been buying from this dealership for over 10 years and purchased many vehicles 7? 8? I have lost track. John Nus and his staff have been so great to me and to my family (3 of my kids have Toyotas from here) the sales staff, Paul Speral and Curt and Wendy from finance are the greatest! But... the service dept lacks quite a bit for me. I made an appointment for minor repair, arrived at the appointed time, waited over 1 hour to be then told what my cost would be, I agreed as I had already been told the cost, and was then told it would be about 5 minutes! So... why did I have to wait over 1 HOUR for a 5 minute job?! My paperwork shows Joe Kem but I don't know that he is the actual person that took so long, so this may not be fair to him, but I am sure you can sort this out. Hard to rate quality of work until I find out if the pieces blow off... and how do I know they are actually glued in? short of pulling on them to see if they adhere? I think it would have taken longer than 5 minutes to put a bead of glue along each side, so my guess is they just popped them back on and there is no glue!Iowa City washes your car when you have a service but I prefer CR but I now live in North Liberty... I may consider changing

Toyota's are reliable; they basically sell themselves. But we feel Paul Speral is the best sales person on the CR Toyota team. However, Paul was out of the office, and Tim Valentine was kind enough to work with us. It felt like his job was more to show us the Toyotas, than to sell them. We never in a million years expected to purchase a RAV4. We had researched Camry's, Nissan Pathfinders, Subaru Outback's and others, We expected to drive 10-12 cars when we started looking. After inquiring what we were looking for, Tim showed us a phenomenal RAV4 that we instantly fell in love with. In our 40 years or so in buying cars, this was the most painless experience of our lives. We will never shop anywhere than Cedar Rapids Toyota. Love these guys! No high pressure sales; just good, honest service.

Before going to the dealership, I had communication online with Alan about the vehicles I was interested it. He was very responsive and gave me lots of information that was helpful in making my decision. Once we met in person, he explained everything I needed to know about the vehicle, walked me through how to use the interior options, and took us on a unique test drive on various terrains to experience how the vehicle drove. I was concerned about sticking around and purchasing today because of having a toddler at home with a sitter, so I knew our time was limited. However, Alan and the rest of the team worked quickly to get all the paperwork together so I could purchase the car and be out of there within just a couple hours (if that!) Overall, I had a great experience and really enjoyed the low pressure atmosphere. Definitely recommend the dealership and sales team!

Being responsive to a customer's immediate needs is very important - and Steve did just that with the help of one other service tech...can't recall his name. My license plate bolts, both front and back were frozen and I couldn't budge them. On a whim, drove into the service center and asked Steve if he could help get them removed and the new ones mounted. At that moment, the center was a bit less active and he immediately proceeded to accomplish the task, including the replacement of the bolts to eliminate further problems. With no appointment and entering unannounced, I consider this outstanding attention to a customer's needs and Steve and the other gentleman need to be recognized accordingly. I took my Highlander in for the safety recall on the power window master switch. I also had an issue with my low tire pressure light (it wouldn't shut off even though I had a local garage check the tire pressure and all was fine. The Cedar Rapids service department checked everything out for me and told me it was my spare that caused the problem. They took care of everything quickly and efficiently; were courteous and friendly and it didn't cost me a dime!

Upon finding my leaf spring snapped I "googled" for recalls on Tacoma pickups. It flagged my vehicle for 2 recalls. I setup a time for inspection with CR Toyota and upon inspection both recalls were flagged for my truck. CR Toyota put me in touch with another Toyota dealership that could do the recall "fixes" (leaf spring and frame).

I live in the Chicago area and was in the market for a new 4Runner for my wife. The local dealer here didn't seem very eager to find me what I was looking for. Because my wife is from Cedar Rapids and we were heading there for Thanksgiving the following week I figured I'd call and see if CR Toyota could help. They transferred me to a gentleman named Steve Strauss who said he'd find the car and call me the next day. Sure enough, he found the car and we did the deal over the phone. I showed up the day before Thanksgiving and everything was ready. I cannot begin to tell you how easy everyone at CR Toyota made this for us. They truly are in a class of their own. I now plan to buy all future vehicles from this dealer, even if it means a 230 mile drive to get there.

I bought my RAV4 sixteen years ago, brand new when CR Toy was still in Marion. Fell in love with the car then, and it's been a long and happy relationship ever since. I've gone through a lot of mechanics. Most of them wonderful, a couple not so good, but they didn't last long and the trouble they caused was more than made up by management. I love the service I get. They are thorough, quick, and explain everything so I understand what they are doing. The newest person I worked with, Greg, did a fantastic job making me feel comfortable with what was going on with the car. It's so much easier to deal with facts when you know where things stand, than if someone gives you the runaround, even if you have to spend money to get things squared away. You can be secure in the fact that you KNOW your car has been treated like special child it is. Even prices are reasonable. Not cheap, but when you get the kind of service you expect, it's not so hard to pay.

I actually enjoy bringing my car in for its regular maintenance. I know the job will be done efficiently and carefully, and the waiting room is very comfortable. I can access wifi, watch TV, get some coffee, or relax in the massage chair. All the staff are extremely courteous and knowledgeable, so the whole experience is very pleasant.

I bought a used truck sight unseen, and drove 350 miles to pick it up. Upon arrival, I found the truck waiting for me just as described, down to the single rock chip on the hood that my salesman had described on the phone. The sales and F&I staff had me through a test drive and headed back home in maybe an hour. The title followed in the mail two days later. The pricing, the vehicle, and the people all were amazing. This transaction was worth driving across two states!

Recently my 2014 Tacoma needed to have a faulty clutch assembly replaced. I had purchased the extended warranty when I bought the vehicle so I went up front and made an issue about being charged $338 to replace it. First Curt Wiedemeier, in spite of being already very busy, explained that the clutch was something usually not covered because it was abuseable. But when he learned that a piston in the clutch assembly was defective, Curt called the warranty company and went to bat in presenting my case. His involvement along with Doug Olson's in service saved me $338. Warranty picked it up....Thanks Toyota!

I visited their website initially and was impressed with the prices and selection, so I decided to stop in the next morning. I browsed many of the websites of the dealers located around the area, and what I saw on the CR Toyota website stood out to me. While browsing the parking lot, Bethany greeted me and I mentioned what I was looking for and the price range. She was very knowledgeable about the cars I was considering, and had some experiences with another make and model I was considering. That information about those experiences will probably save me a lot of money and hassles down the road. I took two vehicles for a test drive and looked at another. My mind was made up pretty quickly after that. I filled out the paperwork which was also a smooth process. I never felt any pressure during the process, either to buy or to buy something I wasn't really interested in. Bethany made the buying experience enjoyable. After the deal was completed, she offered to assist me in syncing my electronic devices to the car audio system. That type of audio system was new to me, so her extra effort was appreciated. What may seem like a smaller detail was very helpful.Curt helped me with the financing and warranty paperwork, and that was a very smooth process. He helped me determine the coverage that I probably didn't need, while trying to steer me toward warranty coverage that I probably should have. He made sure that I had all the facts on why I might or might not need certain parts of the coverage. Throughout the process, it felt like they were friends looking out for my best interests, rather than just trying to sell me something. I would highly recommend Cedar Rapids Toyota.

I contacted Cedar Rapids Toyota, after my local Toyota dealership gave me the runaround when I was looking to purchase a new Toyota Tundra. When I called down to Cedar Rapids Toyota, I was transfered to Ty Schmitt. Ty was awesome to deal with, and made the buying experience great, he also was willing to work with as I live three hours from Cedar Rapids and made the drive worth my time to purchase the truck. Ty went above and beyond, making sure the accessories that I wanted for the truck were installed and done professionally. When the truck was ready for me, my wife and I drove to Cedar Rapids and we were greeted at the door by Ty, he was very courteous and explained the truck in great detail, likewise when it came to signing the paperwork, Bill McArthur was great to work with as well. very satisfied with overall experience. sales man showed me a few options to consider since I was unfamiliar with cab styles. insisted we test drive it to get feel for stability of ride. no hard sell tactics which I appreciate. felt like I got a fair price on the vehicle with the features I needed, sales manspent a good deal of time explaining car features and Bluetooth setup. it helped that he drove a Tacoma and was very complimentary to that model and style, he really sold me on it. I was actually considering a Silverado also but have had Toyotas for the last 15 years. overall great experience, no buyers remorse for me !!

My husband and I test drove vehicles on 2 separate days with Tim & Alan; we changed our mind on which car to purchase when Bill was basically finished with the paperwork, and even though it made more work for them they did it all very graciously and with a smile. Alan then sat in the car and did a full tutorial on every button, light, etc. as well as under the hood - he even helped us get started with setting up the phone system. I had a nice car buying experience in April when I bought a 2015 Highlander from Alan. Very friendly atmosphere there and nice people to work with. I love the Highlander and so does my wife. So we decided to upgrade her 2004 Highlander to the new 2015 and bought her one also. Again, every one at CR Toyota is friendly and helpful. Alan also helped us to understand all the new electronics and made sure the phone and navigation was set up properly as it takes some good expertise to do so. We bought a used car at CR Toyota after having a very good experience with a new car. When we bought the car we had to ask for the second key. We did not try the key as we were ready to leave when he brought it to us. 2 weeks later the battery went dead and I went back and looked up the sales man who sold us the car. When I told him the problem he told me To go see the parts department and they would sell me a battery and replace it. I said it was faulty when we first tried it. His answer was "too bad" and he refused to make it right. So for a $6.00 battery we won't be back.

I use CR Toyota for service on all of my cars. The quick lube is fast, friendly, and reasonably priced. Additionally, since my vehicles are all Toyotas, I find it has paid in the long run to have them take care of service. They have never recommended service that wasn't needed. There are times I ask about certain items, and they have told me they were not necessary. Kudos to the service department. I am always greeted by name. Some may say that means I spend too much time there. I don't mind. Plus, the coffee is excellent.

This is in August. The service agent who answered the phone told me that if I could hold off, they were having a tire sale in October. My husband and I have been looking at cars for a couple months. Terry and Wendy were wonderful to work with!! Terry took care of everything we needed before we got there. We looked at 4 or 5 vehicles and picked our car and did a test drive. We wanted the car, but had to get back to work. Terry took our deposit check and told me to fill out the pre-certification online. When I came back, Wendy had all the paperwork prepared and ready to sign. She was SO friendly!! After taking care of all the purchasing, Terry stayed late to train me on some of the navigation features. We were not able to get through everything, but Terry made it clear that I was welcome to stop back at anytime. I would come back to Toyota for every car after we had this experience.

The last car I bought was at a different dealership and the experience was horrible. The salesman kept pushing and the financing took 4 hours to do and I have excellent credit. So I was not looking forward to buying another car but I needed better gas mileage than my Exploder could get.I was greeted when I walked into the showroom. I said I was interested in the certified used Prius I saw online. Ty took me right to it. We went for a drive and chatted about the car. Ty was very helpful and answered all my questions. I decided to buy it so next I went to Curt for financing and that took less than an hour. Curt was very helpful in explaining what warranties and extras were available and helped me pick just what I needed and didn't try to force me into something I didn't want.Ty introduced me to the fancy electronics of the car which I was a little intimidated about since I don't even have a smart phone. But it was pretty easy and I feel like I could brought by anytime if I couldn't figure something out. I appreciate the straight-forward courteous service I received. And I love my new to me Prius. I would definitely go back.

I dont like buying used cars; its hard to find one in good condition for a fair price. We just bought another used Toyota from Cedar Rapids Toyota, second car in the last 15 months. Cedar Rapids Toyota has the best quality used cars of any dealership in the area. You will not find a used car that looks like it lived on a gravel road at Cedar Rapids Toyota; I cannot say that about other dealers. They have a high quality standard, so you may have to be a little patient to get the car you want, however, they treat you fairly. Gene and Bethany did a great job working together in getting us our last car. Curt, who fills out all the paperwork and closes the deal, didnt push extended warranties on us; he provides the facts, answers questions and lets you decide. I recently purchased a Toyota RAV4. The salesman that I dealt with, Paul Speral, provided great service. After I informed him that I wanted to look at RAV4s, he asked me questions on what features I was looking for (such as leather seats, sunroof, etc). After showing me a few different one (both used and new) and test driving the one that I liked the best, he did some figuring to find out what would be the most beneficial for me. I didnt feel pressured into buying it and was able to wait until the next day to give them an answer, as I didnt want to rush into a decision that day. Even after talking to Bill McArthur, the financial officer, I still didnt feel pressured. I was given all of the information that I needed to help make my decision and the communication between these 2 was great, as Paul found out more information for me when Bill was gone. I would recommend talking to both of these men and with purchasing a vehicle from Cedar Rapids Toyota.I am completely satisfied with my purchase and with the feeling that I made it on my own without being pressured. I drove over 120 miles to buy my Certified Pre-Owned Camry from CR Toyota and I'll be back for my next vehicle. The staff worked with me over the phone to come up with a rough estimate of what my trade-in was worth to be sure we could get close to agreement on value before I made the trip (they then upped the value $1300 when I arrived and they appraised it). This was the FOURTH dealership I visited, after LOTS of research and the first to offer me fair trade-in value on my car without giving me any run around. Added bonus, they already had the Pre-Owned car I was interested in reasonably priced so there wasn't much back and fourth when it came to negotiating. I came in an hour and a half before the close of business for the day but the staff took their time and were extremely courteous and thorough. I left confident that I had gotten a fair deal on a great vehicle. I couldn't be happier with my experience at Cedar Rapids Toyota and the level of professionalism at this dealership!

Salesperson Terry Helgeson is so knowledgeable about the cars he is selling and it's obvious that he appreciates and respects his customers. I bought a Nissan Maxima that was traded, worked with Brad. Brad was an awesome guy, no pressure. I told him what price I wanted to pay, and he actually got it down to that price for me. There was a delay with my bank with a hold on the check, so I agreed to buy it on JUN 26, and would pick it up on JUL 7. It was still on the website until JUL 3. The price dropped $964...I called Brad and asked what was going on since I agreed to buy the vehicle, we were just waiting on the check. He said the vehicle would remain in the system and on the website until the actual sale date of JUL 7, and that in terms of price, I was still getting a fairly good deal. Ok, no problem. A few days later, the price drops another $1,262. So at this point I think that if that price is correct, renegotiation is necessary. I called Brad again, and he said he'd talk to the sales manager, the person that actually enters the information into the computer, what was going on. He called me back and said they didn't know how the price got changed, the vehicle was already sold to me, and that it was a mistake, maybe the wrong stock number. To be honest I wasn't all that satisfied with that answer, and I asked to lower the total price we'd agreed on by $500. Apparently the sales manager said they'd already had calls on the vehicle (at the wrong price point) and that if our original number didn't work, they'd have to put it back on the lot. The next day it was removed from the website. I know I got a real great deal on the car anyway, but the fact that it was already sold and still someone was dropping the price where anyone, including the buyer, could see, that's their mistake, and I think that something could've been done to rectify that situation. Other than that, dealt with Wendy, she was awesome. Went in to sign the paperwork on JUL 6, and she let me take the car early. She even had John follow me back to drop off my vehicle and drive me back to pick up the new one. So I didn't even need to meet Brad the next day. He ended up meeting me there that afternoon. Love the car, Brad, Wendy, and John are awesome.

I purchased a certified pre-owned Camry last night, with the help of Alan who I had been emailing with a day or two prior to my visit. My fiance and I arrived and Alan had the vehicle pulled up ready for us to see. We took it for a drive, he showed us all of the features of the vehicle and then moved inside to see what we could work out. It was painless and simple. They were fair on the trade in and they were very fair on the new vehicle numbers. We were able to work together and get things where I wanted them to be without a bunch of hassle or haggling. Wendy in finance did an awesome job and made things easy. They were able to obtain my financing through my credit union, as I requested. No bumps in the road, everyone was nothing but helpful and pleasant. Would definitely recommend Alan, he's wonderful to work with. I recommend CR Toyota to anyone in the market. Let me start this by saying that I'd rather have major dental procedures than shop for cars. It seems like many car sales representatives are full of lies and they try to get every last dime out of their customers. Ty cut all of the typical car sales "negotiation" and gave me realistic numbers for not only my trade, but realistic numbers for the vehicle I was looking for.I had been shopping for a couple of months, behind a computer screen (because I despise the typical "just come in and see the vehicle" talk I get when shopping for a vehicle). Most sales reps try and give you an extremely low offer and try to get you to come in and "sell" you on the vehicle you are looking at. They just give you the same offer you can get from an auto trader immediate cash number that anyone online can get (that is typically 50% of your vehicle's private sale value). Ty gave me real numbers right off the bat.Out of the hundreds of dealerships I had been inquiring on, (some 500 miles or more from me), I only responded to those that gave me real numbers. When I got there, the car was ready and the only surprise was that I could get the vehicle that I was looking at for under book and my trade would bring over average book. That's a fair deal. I realize that car dealerships have to make money, but the way that most of them try to do it is to screw customers. In the rare situation that I find a dealership that works with a customer for a fair deal, I understand that they are in the 1% of sales people that are in it for the long haul. Ty Schmitt is one of those people.

I took my vehicle in because my check engine light was on, they ran diagnostics, called me back and said everything was fine and they were resetting the light. I proceeded to drive to Kansas City,MO and my check engine light was back on and I lost my acceleration capabilities. I ended up at Legends Toyota where they proceeded to tell me that CR Toyota had noted on MY ACCOUNT that my engine was MISFIRING and that I could've caused serious damage to my car driving as far as I did. They were closing and helped me with a temporary fix so I could get home. I took my vehicle 2 days later back to CR toyota and had them check out my engine again. This time they called me and told me that I need 4 new tires and an alignment and that will fix my misfiring ENGINE. This is completely ludicrous. The people that work in their service area should be FIRED. I am disgusted with the service department and am now going to Toyota of Iowa City.

The battery on my Tacoma died on me while I was out picking up donated produce for our nonprofit. I was able to get it jump started and called the Toyota service department. Since I wasn't able to shut off the truck, they were able to squeeze me in to have the battery replaced within 20 minutes. Within in an hour total, they had me back on the road and delivering the produce. I truly appreciated how they worked me in.

We looked at the various papers we were given to compare which tire we should have installed. After making our decision, we called to set up a time. I had an appointment to have the oil changed on my 2-12 Camery. I was informed that there were some recalls concerning this vehicle. When the appointment was made, I was told that it would take about 3-4 hours to correct. When I got to the shop for the appointment, everything was wonderful. The people were considerate. My 10 year old Scion tC had developed a whistling wind noise coming from the moon roof when it was closed and I was driving at highway speeds. I called into the service department to get a quote for replacing a gasket, assuming that was the problem.I was told that I should come in for an evaluation before ordering any parts, as it could be something else.When I arrived they were able to check-in my car before my appointment time. They determined that the problem was not the gasket, but that the motor on the moon roof was not closing the top tightly. Until I decide to replace the motor, they corrected the problem by tightening the assembly and sent me on my way without any charge and without any wind noise.I expected a charge for diagnosis and labor, but instead was told I was free to go.Of course, I am very please with the way I was treated.

my new van has been in twice for a noise we have been hearing. Both times your service center could not hear it.Last week when I was driving by, i heard the noise again. I travel about 80 miles just so I can have my service done at this CR service center! They are the best! I feel right at home and so welcomed the minute I pull into the service bay. Joe and Doug were very friendly and made me feel like my vehicle was a top priority for them. The service guys did such a great job and were careful not to get oil on the interior (I have had this happen at a different service center!) My oil change and tire rotation was done in under an hour! I feel bad the service dept. had to come find me as I was roaming the dealership gabbing with Alan from sales and Wendy in finance. I can't say enough about my experience at CR Toyota!!! I was able to chat online on a late Sunday night with a few questions I had. I was contacted right away Monday morning by Alan Makabi, I explained what I wanted in a vehicle and what my payment needed to be. I came in to this dealership to test drive a Highlander. Joe didn't introduce himself or ask my name before heading out to the lot to show me the car. He quickly showed me some features and had me drive the car. He was very quick to let me walk out the door, telling me that if I wanted to buy, I pretty much needed to buy off the lot because Highlanders were popular and would be difficult to get. He referenced paying sticker price with no special financing or incentives. Joe clearly didn't see me as a serious buyer. I am very happy with the Honda Pilot I purchased and the much better customer service at Randy Kuehl.

Car shopping is one of the things I dislike the most! Kelly made it easy, stress less and no pressure. He is really knowledgeable and takes time to explain in details how things work. Not only does he explain, but he also makes sure that you understand what he is talking about. I was really impressed with the service he provided. When I went to pick my RAV4, he had it all warmed up (on a cold February evening) and took the time to go over several things in the car. I didnt feel rush to leave even though it was almost closing time on a Friday. He also took the time to check on how everything was going on the following Monday. When and if I need to shop for another car, I will definitively be in touch with Kelly. If you want to deal with a person who listen to you and will work at finding something that will fit your needs and not just try to sell you a car, I strongly recommend you deal with Kelly! I was looking to know the sell and trade in value of my Rav4 on the web. After completing the information within a few minutes I received a phone call from Alan Makaki. I was impressed with his professionalism when I needed to end the call quickly due to an emergency call. Alan was not pushy and very respectful of my desire to call him back. You could tell his was genuinely concerned about my emergency call and did not want to rush me or make me feel uncomfortable. I contacted the dealer through the internet regarding a used vehicle purchase for my son. I found a good candidate vehicle with a complete service history on CARFAX, and was pleased that the dealer sponsored the CARFAX report. I had some questions and a couple of minor concerns. The sales person, Alan Makabi, addressed my concerns and answered my questions. He took the time to research a couple of things and we made the deal. All in all a great experience. We have our VW Jetta Sportwagon serviced at the VW side and today they also serviced my Nissan Murano because I could not get into the Nissan dealer for service until after the New Year. I was online and noticed a truck I was interested in. Sent in my email address, and within 24 hours had a response back from Alan. This was on a Sunday. I was so impressed with Alan and ended going to Toyota a couple days later. My kids actually love going with me to get the car serviced. I love it too! This time though I took the shuttle to work thinking it would be a long repair. However, the service team aced it and I was able to pick my car up at lunch. This dealership is spectacular with how they treat you, and how they treat your car. My new Prius recently hit the 5,000 mile mark and required a maintenance visit to the dealership. When I called the CR Toyota dealership to inquire about the possibility of having someone take a look at it before my trip for Chicago/Milwaukee several days later (of course I had not set an appointment in advance), I was pleasantly directed to take the car to the service bay at the Volkswagen building next door where drive-up customers were welcome. The person working the desk there (the service ticket indicates it was Chris Griswold) was instantly welcoming and proceeded to input my information into the system (I did not buy the car locally) and service my car quickly and professionally. You know when the weather is so perfect that you don't notice it at all (you're neither too hot nor too cold, etc.)? Well, I sort of had that feeling during my recent service trip to CR Toyota. Chris was so authentic, it was like dealing with a long-time friend, and for the first time in a long time I was able to enjoy a service experience because I did not have to think about it at all (Do they know I'm here? How much longer? Are they going to try to sell me something I don't need? Am I an important customer to them?, etc.).

I recently had a battery go bad which caused an electrical surge that caused various alarm to come up including check engine, and AWD failure. Although I had an appointment in a week for an oil change I did not want to drive the car with these failure indications for that long. The dealership was booked for the week but I asked them if I brought it in and left it with them would they try to fit it in that week sometime which included a day off due to Thanksgiving. This was on a Monday. They said bring it in and they got it fixed that day. Very friendly and accommodating. Price was reasonable. I have never had this dealership recommend more than needed to fix the car. I trust this dealership. Toyota and Lexus means quality in their cars and service and this dealership seems to work on that principle.

My first contact with the dealership was more that a year ago when parts staffer Kevin Irish responded to an inquiry regarding an item/question on my 2001 RAV4. So impressed I made a point to put the store on my 'first look' list when searching for a new car, which I purchased last Mar. Never disappointed on my dealings with them, including this last service of repacement of a broken window. Kevin ordered the part so we'd have it on time for a following week service call. Altho Steve in service could not promise it would be done on Mo, was completed by the afternoon and the vehicle was ready to go.

Every employee I've encountered at the Toyota service center has been great to work with. I brought my vehicle in without an appointment after the engine light had turned on. I wasn't even expecting it to be serviced that same day, but surprisingly it was diagnosed and fixed in under an hour. JD was extremely pleasant to work with. He was friendly, informative, and willing to help me out at a moment's notice.

We rated customer service average because of the following:We originally went in to schedule an appointment to have an estimate to have a cam-shaft replaced. Joe said that we had some recall work that needed to be completed also. Great. However, upon review, Joe said that our extended warranty had been cancelled. We planned on investigating with Toyota to see if this was the case.My wife dropped off the car the day of the estimate. Previously, Joe had said that it wouldn't take long to get an estimate. My wife had to call later that day and the operator had to hunt Joe down in order to get a response. Hey, that kind of stuff happens. But, why no call back sooner?After we picked up the car from the estimate (and before we dropped off the car for repair), we did find a document in our glove box that said our warranty was still eligible. I forwarded the document to Joe via email and also called him to tell him it was on the way. I had to call a couple of days later to confirm that the repair would be covered under warranty. Once again, why no call back. Why did we have to generate the inquiry? Maybe nitpicky. But, we were expecting a call back sooner both times.

One week after having regular service done, at an Illinois dealership, our car started hemorrhaging oil when we were on a weekend trip away from home in Southern Iowa. First the air conditioning would not work, then we noticed the the smell, then the noise, and finally the oil puddles. We poured a few quarts of oil into the car and watched it drain out as quickly as we poured.Monday morning I contacted Cedar Rapids Toyota (Iowa), a very nice woman named Penny sent a tow truck and the car was brought into the shop. By 2:00 in the afternoon we were contacted by the service advisor, Joe, and he told us that it was a warranty / recall issue (that was not dealt with before we bought the car, used from a northern Minnesota dealership.Joe very kindly explained the problems to me, that the oil issue caused the air conditioning problem and also was able to deal with another recall issue on the car, that also had been missed in Minnesota.Cedar Rapids Toyota completely diagnosed and repaired the car before the end of business on Monday. The parts were there, and the service technicians were available and I cannot thank you all enough! They even covered the cost of the tow!!As a footnote; one service issue that we did know about was also repaired (an Oxygen Sensor 2/2) was instock and replaced for more than $80.00 LESS THAN we were quoted at the first dealership that had serviced it for the week prior! I think that Toyota should audit their dealerships a bit more.

I went in to have the oil changed on my 2006 RAV4, as always service was very quick and nothing was pushed on me. Steve noted a recall item I didn't know about yet and it was taken care of during the oil change. As I was leaving when the oil change was finished I noted a bright lime green vehicle in the lot. As green is my favorite color I had to take a second look. A sales associate came out to answer my questions and in the course of our conversation found out I have dealt with Alan Makabi in the past. He phoned Alan and he came out to help me. I ended up trading in my RAV4 for the beautiful lime green Corolla. The fact that your employees respect the customers is wonderful. The fact that they respect each other is over the top in this day and age. The first sales associate could have tried to sell me the Corolla but respected a coworker enough to call him over. What a great group of people. I have always had a wonderful experience at Cedar Rapids Toyota, keep it up, you have a satisfied customer for life!

We started looking on the internet then contacted Alan who came in on his day off to show us the car. Curt and Alan were very accommodating to my needs and helping me deal with insurance company. This is the best service center ever!! The employees are so knowledgeable and very nice. It always amazes me how pleasant they are even when they are super busy!! I had an oil and filter change which was done quickly and on time. However, when I got home i looked through the Vehicle Inspection List and it raised some questions. One item was "Inspect Windshield wipers, washers and blade operation. I know that the switches on the washers are backwards (activate front washer and back washer comes on and vice versa). I don't expect the problem to be resolve but thought if it was really checked there would be a comment. Another item, Inspect engine air filter was checked as green. It is obvious that the air filter wasn't looked at. I can tell because there was a screw missing not the air filter cover and it is still missing and the other screw is rusted and hasn't been touched in a while. How can you inspect the filter without removing the cover? Both of these are minor items but it puts into questions the value of the vehicle inspection list if things are being checked as OK without really checking them.

I brought my 2012 Prius in for an oil change, tire rotation and balancing. I mentioned that I had a rotation at my last service appt and did not receive a cap on one of my 4 tires. The service worker said they'd have a new one put on. When I picked up the car 8/29 I was charged $5.50 for a cap that didn't match the other caps on the car. In addition as I drove away I found my tire gauge light was on until I inflated 2 of the tires that weren't filled to the correct levels. My frustration is being charged $5.50 for a cap that can't cost more than 20 cents, in addition to telling the service worker that I had all 4 caps before my last appt and found they forgot to put 1 cap back on. So now I'm paying $5.50 for that mistake? To make matters worse the over priced experience also had me filling the tires to the correct pressure. It's issues like this which make me decide which dealership to work with as I approach two new leases in 2015. Right now CR Toyota is low on that list based on experiences like this.

We ended up leasing a van thanks to Kory and his manager working out a great deal for us. They did not have the van we wanted on the lot that day, but worked out a deal on a more expensive van that we were happy with. Kory went out of his way to help us and explain the lease terms as this was our first time leasing a vehicle. Wendy in Finance then took the time to explain even more and gave us some tips and pointers for service and for what to do when our lease was up. She was awesome to work with and funny to chat with. I was real pleased with the service we got and will go to them first in the future for any car needs.

In this day and age, that is a very positive testament to our two car buying experiences, I highly recommend working with Alan as he spent a great deal of time answering questions via email, on the phone and in person. No hard sell, only listed to our wants and matched us up with a car. Both purchases were for my wife's vehicle and he treated her with great respect both times. He was great with our 6 year old also, playing with her in their toy room while we were busy working on a price. This was me 2nd ever visit to the service center after buying my certified Camry about a month ago from CR Toyota. Since they haven't fixed this yet, I'll need to go back a 3rd time.I'm simply trying to get the maps updated in the Navigation system. I was told this should take about an hour.At the 1st appointment, they told me that I needed to come back since they had not ordered the USB stick with the map update. Here's what I experienced on my 2nd visit.1. Check in was not friendly, but I was willing to overlook that from Joe. Everyone can have an off day.2. Shortly after I checked in I remembered that I wanted them to look at the "Service light" that had been on for a few days. I went back to Joe and waited without him acknowledging me while he finished some work on the computer. Another Service Rep. asked if I needed help. I told him I was waiting for Joe since I had just checked in with him.After a minute or two Joe asked for my name and then told me that Steve is my Service Rep and I should speak to him. I was a bit surprised. No offer to help; he didn't remember me from a few minutes ago, etc., and he wanted me to go to someone else.Then he seemed to catch himself and asked what I needed. I explained about the service light and he told me it just had not been reset from the last time it was there. After that, he asked my name again and looked up the vehicle to confirm that it didn't have any needed maintenance and the light did need to be reset.3. While waiting for my vehicle, I overheard a very heated argument with a customer. I never saw the customer, but he was not being reasonable. What I did overhear were loud comments from Joe like this:"I don't have to do anything for you.""You can go ...."and when the customer yelled at him to just service the vehicle and tried to enter the customer service lounge, Joe yelled, "Hey! Get back here. I'm not done with you!"Everyone in the lounge heard this.4. After 90 minutes I went to Steve (apparently my service rep) and asked about my car. After he checked on the car he told me that they overlooked (forgot) letting me know it couldn't be done. The USB stick they received from Toyota was bad.He explained that they would re-order the USB stick and schedule with me once it arrived. Then, he told me to go to the cashier's office to get my paperwork and keys.5. The cashier couldn't find my paperwork or keys. She left me at the counter to talk to the service rep and returned about 5 minutes later. She was also told that my paperwork and keys should be with her, but she couldn't find them.I decided to return to the service area to look myself. I found that my car was parked in the service center, but the keys weren't readily visible.6. After looking for the keys, I found them in the cup holder along with the technician's empty coffee cup. Apparently he'd been drinking his coffee while trying to update the nav system.7. I took the coffee cup to the service rep's desk (he still wasn't around), and returned to my car to leave.After I was in my car and about to leave Steve appeared and told me that my keys were in my cup holder and that's where I should expect to find them. I reminded him that he told me to go to the cashier's window. Instead of an apology, I received an argument.Wow! Such a simple appointment, and so many negative experiences.Later I thought I would call them to speak to the Service Center Manager. Instead I was dumped into the voice mailbox of the HR/Service Center manager.Frustrating. I hope the third appointment is my last.

I bought my 2013 Camry about a year ago. I was very impressed with everyone during our purchase since we were there very late on a Saturday - everyone was still very helpful and patient. We got the two year Toyota care which I have used for every service. I love going to the service department. Space where the kids can play, Starbucks coffee and hot chocolate, pie, cookies and popcorn. Almost as relaxing as an afternoon at a cafe!

I brought my corolla in with battery warning light on.Car was running fine at that point. Car was given a clean bill of health, new battery terminal at $55 and I was sent on my way.Made it home OK, but the next time the car was used the warning light comes back on and car stalled in traffic (with 5 yr old in back seat). Toyota of Cedar Rapids solution was to have it towed to them at my expense and they would get to looking at the problem "when they get a chance" I already had them look at the problem, when the warning light first came on. Very disappointed. Recalls and a lack of customer service = probably not buying Toyota again

My husband took my car out there because the light was on they told him we r busy he needs to make an appointment so he came home I called Iowa City Toyota they said that if that light is on dont drive down to them get it to a shop so I called Cedar Rapids Toyota they said they told my husband to leave it {this was not true} my husband drove it out there NOT happy this was wed on thur i got a call that said it was done I went out there they never even looked at it so we waited they told us after about 25 min it was the alternator they ordered it and an friday it was done about 10:00 am. the same thing happen with the water pump 3 weeks ago Im not happy and will NEVER buy a Toyota from them and any work I have done I try to go to Iowa City if I can someone should really look into this place or its time to clean house out there I hate to see people lose there jobs but enough is enough!!Evertime I have one thing fixed out there I know something else will go wrong like the tires rotated and then I had to have the breaks done now I had the water pump changed and now the alternator I cant afford to take it to Cedar Rapids Toyota

We'd been casually looking for a new car for a few days and was thinking seriously about a Subaru Outback but then we stopped by the Toyota dealership to see what they had. First looking at the used RAV4's, which were really nice, Kory stopped by and chatted with us, and because our time was limited we left. No hard sell. Definitely nice folks. The next day we test drove Subaru's and then stopped by to see Kory again. We drove a new 2014 RAV4 and was really impressed with the new SUV. Kory was motivated to sell...but in the cheesy, hard-sell way, and that was refreshing. The most impressive, not to say Kory wasn't impressive, was Curt W (Financing). We were taken into Curt's office and he was to process our finance application, normal enough, but the initial credit score didn't give us the financing he wanted for us (us either) so he went to bat. After about an hour of calling Toyota financing, running numbers, and finally getting hold of a Toyota finance person (at home) he was able to get us the 0.0% financing! BAM! Thanks so much Curt and Kory. Overall, the experience was beyond our expectations and we highly recommend these folks.

First, I'd like to say it is insane that a bad gas cap will not only make your check engine light come on, but also your 4x4 light, your traction control light, and make your cruise not work. Aside from that, I scheduled appointment online, never got confirmation for some reason. I called, found out my appointment was actually a week later than I thought. Then, I dropped my car off, and got a call that it was a bad gas cap. Luckily the car was a certified used car, so it it ended up being "only" a $50 gas cap, instead of whatever the cost would have been for diagnostics...Got the car back, all was good, I stopped to do some shopping, and when I opened the back hatch, the side panels were still off, and sitting in the back of the vehicle. Not sure, but I think there were also a couple of other compartments / covers either open, or not reattached as should have been. Maybe because it was a warranty item they didn't pay as much attention to detail as they should have? The covers and such weren't such a big deal, but it made me wonder what else they might have forgotten to fix, or reattach.That's it, they asked for a review. This is what they get.Oh, they alos left a message that my corolla was done. I drive a Rav4.

Steve Lemke diagnosed the problem immediately as a broken water pump. This happened on a friday and was a surprise visit. He contacted the insurance Co. and told them of the problem plus other possabilties and told us they would get right on it. He called us on Mon. P M and the car was finished. Alan Makabi worked with us over multiple visits as we weighed our options between a few different vehicles. His communication, product knowledge, and understanding what we were after made it easy to get the point of negotiating the price. His service actually brought us back from local competition and we knew we would get a fair price as we brought our previous Sienna from him. He and Curtis Wiedemeier stayed late to help us get into the vehicle that evening. Curtis was very efficient and knowledgeable at helping us get through the financial paperwork and understanding the optional coverages and we felt like he had our interests in mind. Even the detail crew stayed late to prep the vehicle along with Alan as we completed our paperwork. Great experience overall, efficient and nailed all the details down. Why can't more dealers adopt this model of operation?

It took me several weeks to come up with the financing. They held the truck for me. I just had a great experience with your dealership when purchasing my 2014 Toyota Corolla LE ECO, My wife and I first spoke with Gene Lytle last Monday (or Tuesday) expressing our desire to drive one of the new Corollas. Unfortunately, there wasn't any Corolla on the lot. Gene was kind enough to let us drive a new Prius and a used Corolla. Gene told us that they're expecting new Corollas 'any day'.Gene called me last Thursday. I took the Corolla for a test drive and I was happy with the vehicle. I think Gene did the best he could during the negotiation and with a little convincing on my part with my wife, we are now the proud owners of another Toyota. This was my first maintanence. Nice drive thru bay area. Nice waiting room. Everyone seemed friendly enough. You could spread the chairs out a little. People don't tend to sit elbow to elbow very well. I was out a month or so ago to see about my maintanence because I didn't have enough miles to do it yet. And my Bluetooth had quit working. One of the salesmen got a technician to help me. He was very helpful and so patient explaining things to me. Phone got turned off so easy fix. I was impressed with him. Don't remember his name. He had a shaved head. I have a hybrid that he was explaining. I have put Toyota in three times and it keeps kicking it off. Hate this signing up.

My Prius needed a new O2 sensor. They said they could not get the sensor out (396$) without damaging the exhaust. It would cost an additional $615!?! I told them to leave the sensor in. They did not charge me, even though they spent alot of time on the car. I thought oh well they tried. My husband looked where the sensor was and noticed the heat shield in that area was GONE( it looked sheared.) I then took my car to Toyota of Iowa City. They got the sensor out and had to rebuild the thread where the sensor was(an extra 90$). He noted the cut heat shield and replaced it for 38$.WHEN YOU TAKE YOUR CAR TO BE REPAIRED, PIECES SHOULD NOT BE CUT OFF AND NOT REPLACED. I talked to Toyota of Cedar Rapids and they said "oh."

We came to Cedar Rapids Toyota to trade our 1999 Toyota Corolla for a 2014 Toyota Corolla. We drove a brand new Corolla and liked it, but we were so used to more space, like we have in our minivan. Ty recommended that we take a Camry for a test drive. He let us know about their exceptional value and the great deals that the dealership was running. We were already pre-qualified for the Corolla with TFS, however a few quick calls and we were signing papers on a brand new 2014 Toyota Camry. My wife was very hesitant when we first went in, but she said Ty was once of the best sales people ever. Thank you for allowing my Son and myself to lease cars from your dealership. The experience was loaded with pro's and had limited con's. Alan should be commended for his professionalism and personal ism. Most of the cons fall on my lack of pinning down details. Like I have no idea when I might receive my refund check from my Santa Fe. Or will I be receiving a refund for the licensed fees I had pay. We just had to sale through. The final steps BECAUSE we opted to show up at 5pm on a Friday. Also this navigation system may be well over my head. Do you hold classes ? On a side note I drove to mayo clinic for my monthly visit and averaged between 40-45 mpg driving 65-75 which was very exciting. Can you add miles at any time what if I want to buy the car ? Kory pointed me right to a Scion, which is something I would have never considered, and even though it doesn't have all the bells and whistles that I'm used to in a vehicle, it fits me very well, and I hope to have it for a long time, pay it off, and then buy another Toyota. The overall experience was good to great. We received the vehicle desired at what mid-west on-line reviews consider to be an acceptable price. We were given enough purchase options so as not to be considered targeted for a specific vehicle or type of contract. The sales staff was informative and friendly.The only drawback to having a really great experience, was in the conditions of trade-in, which involved title swaps on more than one vehicle. We believe that enough information was conveyed early, such that a highly experienced staff would have responded with instruction as to what had to transpire privately with the Motor Vehicles division prior to closing on the new vehicle selected. The expression "we can take care of that" was believed to be heard in early discussion, however, more leg-work was then required on our part to expedite schedule and control administrative cost than first expected.Overall however, a great vehicle and good experience was the result. Would recommend.
