The service department does not answer the phone and you are forced to leave a message and wait for a callback. It appears that the their technicians are not properly trained as I have had to go back 3 times to have the same problem fixed under warranty. BTW...after the second service they returned the van to me "fixed" but actually broke something else in the process. Each time I went in, I rented a car from them...stupidly I believed Ford would pay for the rentals since it was warranty work. WRONG...Ford will only pay for your rental if you buy their extended warranty...how this maked sense I don't know. As a result I an out $300 in rental cost because Ford sold me a defective product. When I complained to Larry the service manger...he said if I wasn't happy I should go someplace else. I asked to speak with his supervisor and he told me has had no supervisor and was an owner. He was defensive, full of excuses and rude...obviously never having received any customer service training. This was all on a van with just 15k miles. I can't believe in this day and age that any business world treat customers like this. Don't think my experience was a fluke...check the other reviews here and on dealerater.com and you'll see this is how they operate every day. How they are still in business I don't know but I'll be glad toy see them shut down.

Horrible customer service! I wish I could give Danvers Ford ZERO stars. In November 2015 I brought my car in due to a noise coming from the front passenger wheel. After a diagnosis they told me the wheel baring had to be replaced. Fine, I got a rental and left my car there. The next day when I came to pick up my car the same loud noise was still there but they garanteed that a new part was installed and didn't understand why there was a noise. They suggested me to make a second appointment to double check. Double check? Don't you double check before you return the car to the customer??? Well I made the appointment and brought my car in again and they told me they couldn't find anything wrong with the car. So last week I went to a local mechanic to get new breaks and what a surprise when he told me that the same wheel baring was literally falling off and he was shocked that it was replaced by a Ford Authorized Dealer and how lucky I was for not getting into an accident. I was so surpised because it was only 4 months after I got the job done. That same day I drove to Ford Danvers and they told me that they were busy and couldn't do anything until the very next day and they couldn't give my car back because it wasnt safe to drive. I had to call "Danvers Police" to have my car back and brought it to Ford York in Saugus and was informed that the problem wasnt caused by a default part like Danvers Ford claimed but due a poor instalation. They (Ford York) explained to me that Danvers used a USED part to install a new wheel baring which is unacceptable. When replacing a wheel baring ALL PARTS should be new. I was so lucky not getting into a major accident and thanks to my mechanic who discovered the problem only 2 days before I drove to NYC with my 2 kids. Larry the Danvers Ford owner was very rude and extremely disrespectful when I blamed his location. I wouldn't recommned Danvers Ford to my worse enemy (if I had one). Ford York in Saugus was amazing, fast and very competent. DO NOT USE DANVERS FORD!!!!

I've had great service with Scott DeOrio and his team so I decided to buy my next vehicle at Danvers Ford. Mark O'Meara was knowledgeable and honest. He and the dealership stayed open for me after hours to accommodate my work schedule. My new Ford Edge was waiting for me, warm and the engine running. We just moved into town and needed brake work done. During the job they noted that a tie rod was loose and recommended replacing the necessary parts which we duly paid for. Turns out they needed to be special ordered. One month after ordering and several calls later still no part. Their phone rep was extremely rude when I called and asked if the parts were in. First he told me that it wasn't a tie rod and when I pointed it out in the work order he asked me "do you know anything about cars". His answer when I pointed out that his customer service left a lot to be desired was "what am I the devil with horns?" No way I would ever go back there and neither should you

I have started going to Danvers Ford in Jan 2015, I had my car towed there after an accident and when it was declared a total loss, I purchased my new (to me) '13 Ford Focus Hatchback from them as well. Recently, I had to use the repair/body shop again as I was in an accident in my new car. It took a several weeks to repair, but there was a lot of damage, I have now had the car back for 2 weeks and you can't even tell that it was in an accident. It runs well, and looks great. The body shop did amazing work. I also dealt with the rental shop and they too were helpful and great to work with.

Scott wasn't on the Service Desk and I missed that aspect, because he is a Rock Star. Apart from that, everyone was helpful and courteous and on time with the service. There was a problem with a filter and the team proactively changed it which I was grateful for. All in all a good experience as always, I will be back for my next service!

So if you need a computer reset on you car this is the place to go. If you want it fixed you may want to think twice about it. Transmission issues on a 3 yr. old car with less that 70K miles on it? I can't say that all of the people that work in the service department are rude however, I can say Larry is. His answer to all of this was, if it starts and we can't find anything then we can't replace or fix anything unless FORD tells us to. Really, the cars engine light comes on and the car comes to a dead stop while being driven. This has happened on more than one occasion (twice in the past 3 weeks) but evidently it isn't enough to tell you something is wrong? Larry is condescending, and clearly lacks customer service skills. The receptionist Robin isn't much better if better at all. Her answer when the service department can't manage to pick up a phone or return a call is "what do you want me to do I'm just the receptionist". "It's Monday morning and they are busy" . Funny thing is I was telling her exactly what I wanted which was to speak with a manager but apparently that is not possible when you call there. So you become frustrated and go down to Danvers Ford and then you get Larry who was almost as helpful as the voicemail.

Danvers Ford is fabulous!! I've been looking for a Focus ST for close to a year and finally ordered a 2015 model this past January. It took a while to get here, but that wasn't the dealer's fault, it had to do with the factory tooling up for the new model year and delays in transportation due to the rough winter. Throughout the entire process, the staff has been more than helpful and pulled some kind of magic to get my vehicle transported from the CSX holding yard in Binghamton, NY. When I picked it up on Saturday, it had been meticulously prepped, the explanation of features was very clear (if I could only remember all of it) and the documentation and registration was handled without a hitch. I've been introduced to the parts and service managers. They are very sharp and know their stuff. I'm looking forward to getting the car serviced there. So, is Danvers Ford a great company with helpful, friendly staff? Absolutely. Would I recommend them to anyone I know? You betcha. Oh, and the 2015 Focus ST? Stunning. The adventure is off to a great start!!

The service department is incompetent. Worse, they are dishonest. They have never actually fixed the problems I bring my vehicles in for - ever. I was actually told by the head mechanic that some Fords have inherent defects that cannot be fixed. The only reason I have used them in the past is because of their proximity to where I work. Here is an example: A month ago they replaced the fuel pump in my Explorer due to a recall. The fuel tank now leaks gasoline - with fuel regularly dripping from the top of the tank down the side which fills my garage with fumes. I took the truck back to them to have them fix the fuel leak they created. After looking at the car they informed there was absolutely no leak, that the fuel dripping down the side of the tank and filling my garage with fumes is residual fuel left over from changing the fuel pump a month ago (I did point out the fact that it is not realistic to think that gasoline would take a month to evaporate from the top of the tank), and that my garage is full of fumes because I overfill my gas tank. I pointed out that I have filled the same gas tank at the same gas station for three years prior to them changing the pump and that there was never an issue with fuel dripping down the gas tank or with fumes of any kind until the day they changed the fuel pump. Their answer was that since the fuel pump was changed I overfill my tank every time but I never did before. So they actually sent me on my way with gasoline dripping down the gas tank because they could not find a leak. I really wish I was making this up.

He assisted me with the most optimal selection of new tires that would be able to traverse the New England winter roads and conditions with this 4 cylinder two wheel drive vehicle. You guys are the best. I bought an F150 STX from Arthur. My wife and I felt like we were with a member of our family. He has a great sense of humor and he was wonderful to work with. Arriving at Danvers Ford we walked around the lot just looking at the Ford Escapes. We were soon approached by a salesman who explained the differences between each of the three available models to our satisfaction. He was knowledgeable and able to explain every facet of the vehicle. The showroom was very clean and as striking in appearance as the vehicles it housed. We returned two days later for a test drive and made our purchase. Danvers Ford is a five star operation. This is our second purchase from this dealership.

First service visit on 2014 Escape. Scheduling was a breeze; got right in before the appointed time and waited in the cramped waiting area with free coffee and nibbles and tv. Appointment was completed promptly and the charge was very reasonable. The only negative was that I was not told what was wrong with a tire which was slowly leaking air. I had to go back into the service area and ask.

We would like to recommend that for future customers who are buying or leasing a car and are turning in plates from another vehicle to receive new plates for the new vehicle you should make it a point, that upon pick-up of the new vehicle, with the appropriate paperwork, to include three copies of the plate return receipt for the old plates, one for the customer's records, and one to give the customers upon pickup so they can turn the second copy in to their city hall to provide proof they no longer have the traded-in car and will no longer be responsible for the excise tax on the trade-in. The third copy would be in case the insurance company/agent needs it so the customers donot get charged for additional insurance on cars they no longer have.

I came in for routine maintenance -- oil, rotate tires, etc.I waited about 10 minutes to get processed which wasn't bad. The service manager said it would take about an hour and it took about 90 minutes which wasn't great because I was in a hurry.Everything was OK with the service. Everything seems okay except for the steering assist piston. I think the bolt that holds piston rod to the bracket is in crooked. You can see that it isn't in straight. The atmosphere at the dealership was extremely professional and polite. I felt they went out of their way to make you feel like they really cared about their customers and their happiness. The price for the service was less then I expected and the people were very courteous. Will be using Danvers Ford for the foreseeable future to keep my F150 within warranty and on the road.

I tried buying a truck from Stoneham and got nowhere. They were NOT interesting in selling me one, never responding to a voice message, an email to the salesman that I had spoken to and even to the manager complaining about that.Danvers gave me ZERO hassle, ZERO shadyness and a transparent quote via email within minutes, without demanding a credit check or so much as a mention of a trade-in. My salesman, Arthur was awesome. 100% customer-oriented and a pleasure to work with. So polite and thorough. Would absolutely buy from him again.After two years of trouble free operation I dropped my truck off for some minor issues and everything was fixed by the end of the day. One of the tasks was customer pay and I compared their price to two other places and they were lower without any haggling or mention of price shopping. Their facility isn't huge, glamorous like some of the other Danvers dealerships, but I have nothing but a positive experience with them and highly recommend them.

Came in for an oil, lube and filter. Was pleasantly greeted by the service manager by my first name (I only come to the dealership about three times a year and he still knew who I was). Not only did he greet me that way but also the other people that were ahead of me and behind me waiting for service. My F150 was serviced fast and I was on my way within an hour. The overall facility was clean.

I had my vehicle towed to Danvers Ford on Friday morning knowing my truck wasn't going to be looked at until Monday on Wednesday I called and they still had no answer for me. The next Dat at 2pm they called and told me my truck was ready. Took less than a day to fix but 3 days to look at. Not happy about that had to rent a car to get back and forth to work and that's not cheap eatra days to look at truck was unexceptable for me.

I have a 2012 Fusion and I took it in for an oil change and tire rotation, All this was done, I think but no one told me that they found anything or confirmed that it was done. I paid and when I saw a charge for hazardous waste I got a bit alarmed. The cashier said she thought it was the oil but she really didn't know. It would have been nice to have the mechanic who did the work tell me what he/she found, what I needed to know for future work needed and what the hazardous waste was.

This is a TRUE STORY...I had an appointment with another local Ford Dealer; dropped by Danvers Ford on a whim over the weekend. Met the owner Kevin who was working on a weekend...(Not may owners work weekends) and was given a straight forward, good solid deal on a New 2014 Blue Jean F-150 Crew Cab w/ Eco-boost. They took my trade and with my family in tow; we were out of the dealership in 45 mins! (That is unheard of in my past experiences) Nice, friendly and professional experience with out ANY hassle what so ever. I was introduced to my Sales person Mark who made not only the process enjoyable (NOT a word I would usually associate with buy a new car/truck) but best of all he was exceptionally good with my two children. Larry, Scott and the entire diesel mechanics continue to provide timely, effective and afforable service on the F-550. The truck is actually a satellite truck providing broadcast services for network television sporting events. Therefore there is need for timely and quick turn around of repairs so that the truck is not down. Larry and Scott are always cooperative and have taken the truck in on a demand maintenance status even when they were booked completely and have always got be going again. They are the best!

We used the service, body shop and rental car shops. The people we dealt with were all professional and above board. We found them trustworthy and knowledgeable. However, we spent a lot of time trying to coordinate our service with body shop work with scheduling a rental car with making sure insurance would cover the rental and body shop work. We ended up having to coordinate all the different players which took a lot of time. Rather than talking to three separate Ford components, it would be nice to have one person to talk to, particularly one trained and focused on customer service. Danvers Ford has great workmanship but it needs to improve on customer service.

Scott was amazing. He stayed late on a Friday to finish diagnosing my car's problem even though everyone else had left. The car had a major A/C system failure that was difficult to diagnose. Fortunately this $2100.00 repair was covered by my Enterprise Mechanical Repair Protection plan. Scott communicated diligently with EMRP and its adjuster and kept me informed of everything during the process. The repairs were performed properly and in the timeline needed. Vehicle was ready 1 day earlier then they said they could even look at it. I do not mind them giving conservative estimates on when they can tell me the problem and then being sooner.Staff were nice and explained things well.I have to say I did not like the rental car I got at Danver's ford, it was not comfortable and had unreasonable mileage restrictions. I will give credit to the guy in the office who took care of the mileage issue but I will likely use Enterprise if I have to leave my car with you for more then a day in the future.

I didn't know that I had to tell the Svc Rep that I wanted/needed my car by a certain time. I expected it to only take a few hours and I was calling at 3 PM and it still wasn't ready. Holly told me that I need to request a pick up time otherwise I would be fit in during the day. I'm new to your svc department so if I had that information ahead of time it would have been helpful.

I owned a Ford purchased at another dealership. The driver's side window became stuck in a down position on a very rainy day, with a few more rainy days predicted. I was close to Danvers Ford and stopped in at 4:45 just hoping someone would be able to put the window up. I didn't need it fixed, just put in the up position. A manager came over to my vehicle and replaced the driver's door window switch in 60 seconds and told me to go to parts and pay $60.00 for the new switch. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes and my window worked. I made a note, that when I was ready to get my next F150 I would buy it there, and I did. Since then, I have experienced the purchase process and had the opportunity to have some warranty work done. They have always been polite and professional. If my next vehicle is a Ford, it will be purchased there.

Visited the dealership twice in the past two weeks. Each time it felt as though I was bothering the staff. On the first visit, I walked through the front door and two sales people looked down the manager had to tell a salesperson to help me. When the sales person and I were on a rode test he was professional (1st visit). The second trip (second time in the dealership) a different sales person was average at best - average professionalism. Toward the end of the 2nd visit the dealership valued my trade 1,500 less than the other four dealerships I visited. The sales person actually tried to tell me why my vehicle was not worth more...he didn't know I had the appraisals from the other dealerships and checked with KBB before I began my search for a new car. Here's the unethical part...he told me they would attempt to sell my trade at twice the amount they were offering. Overall, this dealership doesn't inspire confidence or seem to offer customers much. They are a smaller dealership and they act it. They seem to be built around trying to make a sale and devaluing trades rather than creating a network of satisfied customers. Check other Ford dealerships before going to Danvers Bored, er...Ford.

I have never been so unlucky as to run into a dealership with such surly and unfriendly service as Danvers Ford. My car was given back to me with trim pieces missing, and when I tried to rectify the situation I was greeted with nothing but excuses and attitude. "You came too early, the mechanic isn't in today, the car wasn't ready but you were here" etc etc. I will recommend all of my friends to drive the extra distance to another dealership rather than suffer the same level of service that I received.
