My experience here was fairly miserable from start to finish. Setting the appointment: Whomever was on the phone led me to believe the multi-point inspection would address a concern I had about the car; when I arrive for the appointment, I find out it would be a separate fee. The service: While servicing one part, they managed to break another. They claimed it was in poor condition, and it is quite possible it was, though the parts in question were replaced quite recently relative to their lifespan, and the car was in working order before their interference. Regardless, they did not contact me until after they had already broken not 1, but 2 of this particular part, and then took advantage of my distress to upsell me to replacing not only the broken 2, but all 4 of this part, plus related parts. It's one thing to notice a part is in poor condition and proceed with my approval, another to call me after breaking one, but to call me and say a total of EIGHT parts need to be replaced for me to even get the car off the lot? I would have expected any reasonable mechanic to work with me on price for the 2 that were broken, but instead they took the opportunity to sell more parts, and more labor, at standard price. UPDATE: I showed the parts in question to another mechanic, who said that only one of the coils appeared to be broken in the way described, with at least 2 in perfect working order. Wow.

I took my car for service and they left it badly I had to take it to another workshop to have it repaired because the service that Nissan gave me was rubbish, I do not recommend it at all. I don't really know if they put someone who was learning to work in my car but they left it worse for me

Costly, I see why people refrain from taking their car to dealership. Three items repaired, two of which were air filters = $600 in labor! shockingly typical and that was with a discount of the labor.

I had an appointment with one of their dealer: Matthew. First of all, when I get there, they were unable to find that guy. So, they made me seat in the lobby for almost 30 min. There were other dealers available. None of them didn't really care about customers. No greetings, Rare smiles (Example: John Massaquoi).I waited 45 mins before leaving and NO ONE cared.Folks, don't go there! there are better dealerships who will make you feel really comfortable and value you as customers.Orkido 301-917-4530

We went to look for a new car for my mother they switched us to 4 different people. We moved from desk to desk several times. Test drove and came back to do credit report. After doing credit report came back with excellent credit and they took us into see the finace guy. While sitting with him went over numbers and Interest Came back with a crazy Interest rate we wasn't looking to spend. said the rate had to do with the rebates on vehicle. Then I was ready to leave when he then said to me sit down, listen and you don't understand. After that I was really ready to go. No man should tell a grown adult to sit and listen to anything you are not working with your child. After that I will look for another nissan dealer to work with as I will not be spoken to or dealt with as a child. Also I can't believe that I actually purchase my vehicle from here. I will never return in the future for purchase or service with them.

I purchased my 2008 Altima brand new. I did my research on the vehicle, called and spoke with Eddie. I traded in my vehicle and received the maximum amount (Kelly's Blue Book value). After speaking with Eddie over the phone as to the model, color and interior of the vehicle that I wanted, he was able to get the vehicle from another dealership. I received a call from Eddie stating he had the vehicle. I came in and the entire process was approximately 1 hour. No hassle and a smooth transaction. Hard to find the same experience today. The only negative thing I can say is that when I was looking to purchase a new 2015 Rogue, I didn't get a return call or email.

Though initially unknown to me, I traveled over 600 miles to buy my Z from DARCARS in 2013. Turned out to be probably the most worthwhile 600 miles I've ever traveled. They gave me the best deal on a vehicle (Z coupe, 6 speed) that I literally could not even find in the immediate area where I live in NC, but also bettered any other dealer I visited in my home state. And since I live so far from them, they made a commensurate offer (albeit, at my request) in place of the routine maintenance package that they typically offer at no charge to local buyers who would normally have routine service provided at DARCARS. But aside from the $ issues that any buyer typically tries to maximize for them self, they were simply the most knowledgeable, professional, yet personable group of sales and customer service (in the most expansive definition of the term) personnel that I have dealt with at any dealership. (PS - Since I have never had any service performed there, I felt that I could not, in good conscious, give them 5 stars for "quality of work". A more appropriate rating would probably be "N/A")

This is a very friendly dealership. I came right in told them what I wanted and was shown my options. It was just my luck they had the car and color that I wanted. We did a test drive and I was even offered a chance to take a spin with my family so that we could discuss the options in private. We came back, talked numbers, and before I knew it, we were pulling off the lot! Will definitely buy again and I want my sales person to be Valentine!

My husband and I went to several dealerships to get an idea of what options I had for a new car - price and test drives. We just had our first son six months ago and now it was time for me to give up my convertible for a more family friendly and roomier vehicle. One day my husband just pulled into the Darcars Nissan of College Park on our way home and the first Sales person we spoke to was Valentine. He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and patient. They were getting ready to close and he took the time to answer all of our questions, offer us a test drive, etc. It was because of his great service that we decided to return to the dealership and purchase my new car from here. Thank you to Valentine and also to Amir Khakzadeh who assisted with closing the sale on my new 2014 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum. I love my new vehicle and I can't wait for my son to grow with it - I'm sure he'll appreciate the DVD players soon :)

My friend and I had decided to buy 1 car for each of us based on the price quoted (over phone) by the internet sales manager Lauren Cody for a Nissan Altima and a Sentra. We had to drive around 120 miles from our place to this dealership and hence we both spoke to her couple of times to make sure that we get the right price before we drive out that far to avoid spending all our time, energy and gas. But they proved us they weren't worth of that much effort when we had visited them. Initially we felt the price she quoted for 2013 Altima was fair, because we were almost on Mid of 2014 and it was one year old model. But she had never mentioned it was a demo car, which had 5000+ miles on it already. When we had visited the dealership, we got to know through the sales manager Solomon, it was a demo car and already had more miles on it. To add to this the price she quoted was for 0% APR (she clearly told we'll loose 1000$ rebate) if we need 0% APR. We agreed for that price with 0% APR bcoz we had no intentions to pay more interests. But when we were there we learnt that she told all lies (she calls those as management techniques) to make us drive all the way and make us pay stupid prices. Because I had took my friend to drive us over there, we didn't want to return empty handed and hence we ended up paying more price than what was agreed upon + more APR.If you still decide to purchase a car from this dealership, please be aware of their sales manager Solomon. He acts very nicely and pretends to be more friendlier. But he's not honestly. He'll make you quote the price the management wants and make you pay 200 to 300$ more than that. Last but not least, the senior finance manager will try all his tactics on the interest rate and the extended warranty. I wouldn't honestly recommend this dealership to anyone. But if you've no other option, please make sure you're aware of all these tactics before you visit them. I hope this review saves atleast one person from their trap.Suggestion to the management team - Please try to run your business honestly. I understand and agree you're in the business to make money but it should be with some ethics.

I walked into the dealership after already visiting a few. I was a little upset with the car buying process as I had been in an accident and my car totalled. I was about to take on a car note, not buy a new vehicle and my attitude matched what I was thinking. In a no nonsense way I said, "Nissan Altima, Java, 2014. No I don't want to test drive, just tell me the price." Not phased, Valentyn spoke to me calmly and got me to open up a little. After consulting with manager, Ali, I accepted a test drive in a gunmetal Altima S and talked pricing with Ali and Valentyn upon my return. I needed time to think about the deal so I shook hands with both gentlemen, leaving the dealership without feeling pressured and with a much better attitude than when I first walked in. After sleeping on it I returned to Darcars the following day to close the deal. Again Valentyn and Ali were gracious and worked with me. I ended up purchasing an Altima SV in Java and am happy with my experience and purchase. I made my purchase an March 31 and picked up my tags on April 18. The dealership has been great at communicating with me throughout the process. I will recommend Darcars Nissan to anyone purchasing a new vehicle.

If you have already done your research, CALL EDDIE JORGE! This is a review for Eddie Jorge specifically. I have no experience with any of the other sales representatives. I am a consumer that researched the ins and outs of my car on line through Kelley Blue Book and other consumer reports to make sure I knew what a fair price was and what the car was worth. I simply wanted the lowest trim model of a manual T/M Nissan Versa; no bells or whistles. I just wanted a car that would get me from point A to point B quickly, and I knew how much I should have to pay for this car. After two weeks of dealing with other dealerships trying to get me to buy up a model, or finance through them, or giving me an out-the-door price over the phone and changing it when I arrived at the dealership, I finally requested an e-quote from Darcars. I asked Eddie for an out-the-door price and he gave me one that was very fair considering the research I had done. I was skeptical when I walked into the dealership, and expected him to try to force other fees and add-ons to the price we discussed. But there was no shady dealings. He gave me a price and after I finished signing the paperwork, I had a new car for the price we discussed. Darcars did not try to convince me to upgrade, or pressure me to extend my warranty. They new what I wanted and they gave me what I asked for. Even when my insurance company started to give me grief, the sales staff was very patient with me and very accommodating.If you want to avoid the hassle of being jerked around my xxxxx salesmen, go to Darcars and ask for Eddie Jorge. If you have a REASONABLE out-the-door price in mind, he will make it happen with NO HASSLE. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a nissan.

Rude and just plain nasty attitude. I probably would have bought this vehicle but after I test drove and sat down they inflated the price over $5000 above advertised price. I wasted a day off and three hours drive time for this experience. These people can't have good business, won't come here again.

I had a fantastic buying experience at DARCARS and will certainly return when it comes to buying another vehicle. The location is out of my way, but well worth the trip. The online credit application was a breeze and I was on the road with my new car within two hours of arrival - as promised by my dealer. I had shopped two other dealerships prior to deciding to go to DARCARS -- both of them jerked me around on advertised stock (online) and supposed discounts, total price, etc. I've also purchased 4 vehicles at other dealerships prior to this purchase -- none of them compared to the superior service I received from DARCARS. I highly recommend DARCARS.

The staff here is very back and forth and rude. The general sales manager has a nasty attitude. Granted, they are all salespeople and have jobs to do. However, when someone is inteterested in buying a car, you can not talk down to them or make them feel like they have no other options but Darcars Nissan. Needless to say, I am taking my business elsewhere.

After purchasing a 2010 Nissan Murano in a reasonably stress free transaction and,at a price that I was very happy with, I needed three very minor cosmetic repairs to the interior. I dealt with a Mr. Kendell who I found to be very helpful and pleasant to deal with. I needed some parts special ordered, so I had to come back for two of the repairs, but the repair that could be done was handled very quickly without any hassle. When the other parts came in, the vehicle was serviced in the same manner. The overall experience at this dealership has been the best I've had at any, I highly recommend them.

I had been away for a while and had 3 recalls that needed to be taken care of. Tony set me up for an appointment and offered an available coupon for my much-needed oil change and tire rotation before a trip to New England. When I arrived, Tony already had a customer, but I didn't have to wait since Max stepped in to get me started. It took a while for all the work to be done, but Tony kept me informed as to what was happening and got me out as soon as possible. I didn't even have to wait for a porter to bring the car around.

I had a great experience at DARCARS. The first time that I came there was because I needed my back light replaced on my car. Antonio was able to order the part, and fix my car in no time at all. I returned a month later to have my oil changed, and experienced the same high level of customer service. Antonio has excellent customer service skills, and is willing to do what he can to help his customers. I highly recommend this car dealership.

I checked inventory on various dealer websites. Nissan College Park had a good selection of the vehicle I wanted at great prices. Made an appointment to test drive car. It was ready when I arrived. Drove it. Liked it. While I was test driving car, they appraised my trade-in. No only did I get the low price listed on the internet, they gave me some additional rebates I was not aware of. I received a fair trade-in price on my Z based on research I had done.It was so easy and hassle free. Everyone was courteous and professional.

I called my husband and asked if I should go to my cousins shop and get an oil change. He told me since my vehicle is new to take it back to the dealer. That morning I called Darcars Nissan where he bought the vehicle for me. I was told I could bring the car in right now because they weren't that busy. As soon as I walked in, Mr. Antonio Kendall asked if he could help me. I told him I was there for an oil change. He asked if I had any coupons I told him no I did not. He was very pleasant from the time I walked in to the service department until the time I left. I ended up receiving an oil change and also a car wash and all of my fluids checked for what I thought would be at least $50.00, I ended up not paying anything at all. This was the best car buying process I have ever experienced and I owe it to Mr. Eddie Jorge and Kenneth Wright! The process was very smooth and I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is looking to purchase a car in the near future. As I have already referred him to my friends and colleagues. We test drove different models and then we went over different options and affordability. I must have asked a million questions- he was very knowledgeable and maintained his patience the entire time. I went there for a 2008 Nissan Sentra. At first the buying experience was nice, process was a bit long, especially with me putting down 20% with a decent credit score, but the sales person and certainly finance manager appeared to be nice. Turns out they didnt thoroughly inspect the vehicle and when I went in for a service appointment during the 30day warranty for them to fix the issue with the car not starting, they tried to convince me to wait until my car's warranty kicked in. Also, as we were wrapping up the sale and I am on my 19th hour between work and buying the car, they tell me about some minor cosmetic issues that was noticeable once they brought the car into the garage for cleaning. I then asked them to fix (too late, but we'll write a voucher for it to be fixed). None of this was ever done after a few attempts. I do assume some responsibility for accepting this mess as a consumer, but you live and you learn. I hope no one as vulnerable and new to the car buying process as I was will ever be taken advantage of by them. Obviously as a consumer, you should do your homework, but you should also expect these businesses to honor their commitments. I am now in the process of getting a new nissan after dealing with the headache of this lemon they sold me. PS I took the car for 60K service to Koons and they pointed out that this car should and would have never passed their inspections.

I will never go back here to buy a car because they are lairs. I brought a 2003 Volkswagen new beetle and the glove box was broken and they claimed that they would fix it. So I called every day and Floras or whatever his name is wouldn't get on the phone. So after three months of getting the car I sold it and brought a 2010 vw new beetle from Frederick Nissan who had they best customer service. Don't get me wrong Floras is a nice person but he is full of crap when it comes to business.

My car is less than a year old, and these lights came on that indicated I had tire problems or other operational issues. It was pretty scary. I called Ali from work because this was the closest Nissan service place. He immediately told me to come in after work. I wound up leaving the car for a complete check and getting an Enterprise rental. It turned out that nothing was wrong, and it all had to do with someone else not setting those emergency lights correctly. Ali kept in touch every step of the way to tell me they were making sure it was ok. And then he washed it. I believe he HAND washed it. I had some strange goopy stuff stuck to parts of the car, and he removed it. After all this, I returned the next day and there was no charge. Not for the rental, or their time. I was just floored. The service here is exceptional. I've never seen ANYTHING like it. I'll be back for sure. - Lena Etzkin

I brought my car in for servicing. The inspection revealed that I needed new fron brake pads and rotor. He called me and said it wasn't in stock, that he had to order it. I gave him the okay to order. So I went in to pick up my car expecting that I had to reschedule to get the brakes put in and worry about how I'm going to schedule it into my busy week. Ali told me it was done, then I asked " are you talking about the brakes?" He said "yes." I was shocked, he told me that although the didnt have the part, he placed a call to other dealers in the area to see if they had the part and they did. So he got it taken care of on the same visit as my service visit. And I believe that he went above and beyond to help me get it taken care of ASAP. In addition, upon leaving I requested that if it would be possible to vacuum and wash my car and he personally took care of it. Ali is a great service advisor :)Morinatu Adeniyi

During my last oil change I was told I had to have my front brakes replaced in addition to my two front tires. I knew I'd have to replace my tires but I was really thrown with the brake job and was scared of the price. I normally work with Zack and he's terrific -- he makes sure I get the service I need, answers all my questions, he's extraordinarily kind, patient, and good at explaining everything. This time I went through Ali and he too is very special. He explained everything thoroughly, calmed my fears and made sure I got the best price. I'm so grateful to Ali for his consideration and kindness. He even procured a rental for me as they needed to keep my car the entire day, and paid for it! John Martinez did the auto work and he was amazing! He explained everything that I needed and took time away from his job to talk me through what I needed and he also calmed me down and said it'd be ok. John, Ali and Zack will continue to be the model for what I expect from an exceptional car dealer and I look forward to working with them in future. I can't say enough good things about these three employees - they're the best of the best and I hope Darcars Nissan acknowledges them for their awesome customer service!!!

Yesterday I came in for routine maitenance and was assisted by another salesman (I usually work with Ali Basma). I was not very pleased with the service. The Sales manager Kevin Fluke stepped in and corrected my issues. I usually hate going to get my car serviced, but when I went to get me 100,000 mile check up, Levi was very speedy and made me feel like he wanted to help me get the best deal while getting me out of there. Peole usually have no sense of urgency and friendliness so I was happy about that. Also the woman at the register, whom I did not get her name was also very friendly and efficeint. I got my car back quickly and my car was even washed. Im a happy camper.

Before going to the dealership we had already picked out the car we wanted, but John and John made sure that the car was washed and ready for us when we were there. We drove past 4 VW dealers to come to DARCARS because they had the exact model we wanted and it paid off. We've had issues with the local VW dealers and to be honest it didn't seem like that wanted out business. Manager John gave us a fair price and worked with us to get a good number on our trade that my wife had an emotional attachment with. Derrek (the Finance Manager) was friendly, professional and timely when we were in his office. I can't speak for how the entire process works because we had already picked out the car we wanted, but everything else was smooth and unpainful. If you're seriously interested in a VW I would reccomend giving DARCARS a chance to earn your business.

My MIL and temperature indicator lights came on. I called and spoke with Ali. They were able to tell me the problem almost immediately. The service would take a day and a half but Ali arranged a rental car. He kept me posted on the status of my repairs and provided great customer service. This was my first trip to this dealership, unfortunately my AC went out in my car and my usual dealership didn't have any appointments available right away. I took a chance going to DARCARS and was pleasantly surprised. It was easy to make an appointment and as soon I got there I was attended to immediately. Ali took his time explaining the process to me and went into vivid detail about what was wrong with my car and what needed to be done. He also provided me with water and snacks and made sure I was comfortable while I waited for it to be finished. When the price was fully quoted, he worked with me to make sure it was something my wallet could handle, which I appreciated immensely. Unfortunately, parts had to be ordered so my car couldn't be fixed that same day.I brought it back the following week and Ali set me up with a rental and everything went smoothly. Even when my car was finished and I was unable to pick it up the same day because I had sprained my ankle and couldn't drive, he was understanding and compassionate. Some places might have insisted I picked up that day since I had a rental.My car is fixed now and I couldn't be happier with the service I was provided.Thanks Ali!Leisel

The employees as a whole are always pleasant. Ali is always there to greet customers with a smile and he knows me by face and name. Ali gives me an estimate for the service my car needs before labor is performed. If it is a major issue, he arranges a rental car for me. If it is not major, I normally wait no longer than 2 hours for service. You will have no surprises or game playing when dealing with him. Some dearlership just try to sale you a car. There have been times when I had to deal with the Extended Warranty Ins. Co., and he has negotiated on my behalf to ensure that they cover all the relevant expenses. I have also observed him in his dealing with others, and he has consistently displayed a caring and helpful attitude to his clients. He is clearly an ASSET to your dealership!!

I was given excellent service. Every step was explained to me, when I did not understand something it was patiently broken down so that I understood. They were courteous, patient, professional and thorough. I did not feel like I was being rushed or railroaded into making a purchase. They were very accomodating. They worked with me to give me what I wanted and I was able to stay within my means. I am very satisfied with my expereince with this dealership, the staff and my new car.

We enjoyed our experience with DARCARS Nissan VW College Park and I would recommend this dealership to everyone. The staff, especially John and Jennifer were very helpful and friendly. John (sales manager) was very knowledgeable, professional, and I liked the fact that I never felt pushed when making a decision. They try really hard to please their customers so I appreciate their effort and willingness to take an extra mile to make us happy. And I can say I am 100% happy with my new VW Tiguan and with the price I paid for it. It took a little longer than expected however the sales manager(John) was very accommodating, friendly, and sincere (all of which are very unique qualities for a salesman). Hello,I came to the dealership looking to just see how much my car (09 fully loaded Altima) was currently worth in trade. Once getting into the dealer and speaking with Mr. Jorge, he quickly deduced that due to my previous credit issues, I was not in a deal that fit my current credit rating. He showed me the 2011 version of my car and I absolutely loved it. We then went to speak with the finance manager, Mr. Magruder, who explain to me in great detail what my options were. In using his knowledge of the banking and credit industry, he was able to see that my credit worthlyness had improved 10 fold and could get me in a better deal. In addition to the financial impact, Mr. Jorge and Mr. Magruder explain to me the option of leasing. A concept that I never thought of prior to. They were very thourough in thier explainations but never pushed my one way or the other. They genuiunly made me feel as though it was more about what was best for me, than making a sale. I ended up leasing and nowfeel so much better about my situation and I love my new car. Once my lease is up, I will absolutly return to the DARCARS in College Park to see Eddie and Derrick.Marcus Lucas

I was able to come back and purchase the car with the same deal on the table. I went to purchase my new 2011 Jetta at that location and i LOVED my experience. I have looked online and seen some of the reviews and went anyway, and BELIEVE ME..it's not true! Mr. Zweifel is the manager at that location and took care of me the entire time! He made sure i was pleased till i drove off the lot a few hours later. Derick Magruder was incredible, they will truly try to get the best rates!! Solomon was very helpful also he booked appointments for my new car and was in no hurry to get rid of me ( i was at the location later than usual). This location is slowly changing and improving, with some new employees i feel that people should give it a chance!!!!

The salesman was very slow and knew little about the car, he seemed like we were keeping him from leaving. Negotiating a price took a long time for the salesman to go talk to his manager and come back and forth, definitely not no haggle pricing. It took hours of waiting before the finance guy even began our paperwork, but he seemed pretty good at his job. They said they would mail me my tags when they got them, as I live 60 miles from the dealership. I called numerous times and they never returned my calls. Max Logman was not helpful and rude about the situation; he said they don't mail tags and transferred me back to the receptionist desk, effectively hung up on me. I talked to Magruder who initially said they could mail the tags, he said he would overnight mail them, I havent received them. My temp tags expire today and I have no new tags. Very Poor customer service.

called to see if part needed was in stock and was told it was in stock and there was plenty , came by the same day before closing to purchase part and was told they didn't have some of the parts requested, i told them it was ok i would just take what they had, then was told that the part i requested was not what they had instock, needless to say i was very frusterated and was told different and had to take off work.. there is no customer service to speak of and lack of communication among their employees..
