We ordered a XC90 and interacted with Yousef. He was very patient while we did our research and helped us through our decision making process. He gave us a very competitive offer and we felt he was always very honest with us. We will happily buy from him again.

Took me in on a spur of the moment oil change and heater check.. Excellent service provided. Professional support by all representatives. and my Technician, Will Hurtt. Strongly recommend that heater check go beyond turning on the heater fan and turning up the heater controls to gauge heater performance.

Fantastic communication and the Asst Service Manager made every effort to ensure that we were fully informed on every step of our service. She also worked to include as much of the service under our warranty. When our car had to be kept a little longer than originally anticipated, we were provided with a free service loaner.

John Schmeid is smooth and precise on the front end of appointments for service and Sherwin and his team make it happen in the shop with speed and accuracy. I view maintenance for our pair of Volvos at Don Beyer with an expectation high quality every time. Richard Torres is an excellent manager of the service operation and is always available for questions. Having a team this good makes a service visit to Don Beyer the best it can be.

I scheduled the 20,000 mile service for my Volvo C70 online and was able to get in within a couple of days. The service was completed quickly and carefully. John noticed that my state inspection was also due at that time and took care of it free of charge! The car was returned to me washed and vacuumed. Friendly, efficient service!

I have been a Don Beyer Volvo customer for almost 10 years. I lived in Mannassas, VA when I bought my first Volvo from Don Beyer - Dulles, an S60. Loved that car, but wanted more cargo and hauling room so I traded for a V70 wagon at Don Beyer - Falls Church . Loved that car, too. Unfortunantely, the V70 met with an untimely accident, which led me to the XC70 I have now. Though I now live near Baltimore, I will drive back to Falls Church to have my XC70 serviced and maintained. I have had a couple of service advisors at Falls Church over the years, and they have never steered me wrong. They do not push additional services, but they do make recommendations, and I decide when or if I'll go with the recommendation - no hard sell. These guys are great. If you're in the market for a Volvo, Don Beyer Volvo is the place you should go.

Very pleased with the quality of work and attention to detail the entire Don Beyer team consistently provides when servicing our two S40's. Latest service was routine 60,000 service for 2010 S40. Professional mechanics, available loaners, shuttle service, customer-focus are all traits I've experienced with DB since 2005.Vehicle safety and reliability are key for us, and we know that the entire DB team will perform to a high standard that directly contributes to our safety behind the wheel. Customer consideration/focus/care are two (of many) traits that Ms. Thavery Hour provides as our Service Advisor, and I greatly appreciate her attention to detail and accessibility (she even replies to emails on her DAY OFF) - always excellent customer service. Her great relationship with the service team (shop mechanics and manager) results in transparency and my direct access to the guys turning the wrench. Again, that results in a vehicle that we can trust to be safe and reliable. IMHO you get what you pay for these days. Loyal DB customer and Volvo owner since 2005.

They washed and vacuumed the car made it look great which I didn't expect. Also they checked the whole car over for anything that might be out of sorts. I feel like they care about their reputation and go out of their way to be courteous and not trying to rush you out. I'm going to keep going here for all of my maintenance.

Across the board, the team at Beyer Kia is just really, really good. We have a late model Volvo we've been getting serviced there and had a Sedona serviced there, although it was purchased from a different dealer before Beyer got in to the Kia business. This was our first purchasing experience with Beyer, and it was great.Omar was great on the sales end, Bobby stepped in for the financing piece and Basir packaged everything up nicely at the end. As Falls Church City residents, we've worn the Beyer Memorial Day t-shirts for years; we're happy now to be driving a car that came off their lot.

Our 2012 XC 60 developed issues with the Bluetooth connection to smart phones, Don Beyer service updated the Bluetooth system; unfortunately when we drove the car home, no smart phone could connect to the updated system at all. The service department checked out our complaint, confirmed that our complaint was accurate, recalibrated the system within 24 hours, and, voila! Our Bluetooth connects perfectly to our smart phones and all works well! Thanks Don Beyer!

I applaud the customer service at Don Beyer Volvo. I tell my friends that the customer service is outstanding. I am always happy to see the staff, Kevin, Gene, etc. because they are always upbeat and caring. However, I am always sad to get the bill because of the cost of maintaining my 1997 Volvo especially at a dealership. I think that life long Volvo customers (already owned another volvo until I bought the '97 at Don Beyer) should receive some sort of discount on service. Isn't your slogan "Volvo for Life"?I was so very sorry to learn of Cesar's passing. He was one of the reasons I went to Don Beyer all these years to get my car serviced. I cried when I learned he died. He was with me during my 1980 Volvo, one husband, two boyfriends, and my 1997 Volvo. He was my friend.and it is such a loss and a void for all of us.

Nice that there is no price haggling: the listed price is what you get - that can be a real drag at other dealerships. Also nice that trade is a separate transaction so it doesn't cloud the purchase process.

This visit was the far the best overall experience ever at Don Byer. Before then I had considered switching dealership for service, but this visit made up for all the others. The service advisor was respectful and considerate and actually listened when I explained something I wanted checked. Also, my last few visits took more than 2.5 hours each time. In contrast, this visit was quick and another service person even came into the waiting room to explain what work was done and how much longer I had to wait. The customer service delivered by two individuals was outstanding. Also, even the check out experience was more pleasant.

This was our first visit with Gene as our service representative, since Chris moved over to KIA. All Warranty work was done above and beyond our expectations. We were kept advised as to the work being done, and provided with options. Definitely made us feel as if we were part of the team. The car was returned to us in far better condition than we left it in, including a much appreciated wash of all the road chemicals left from a difficult winter.

I originally purchased a Volvo XC60 in 2010 through the European Delivery Program. It was such a great experience, I did it again in 2012! As technologies have greatly improved with the XC60 and Sensus Connect, I decided to go for the 2015.5 R-Design during your end of year promotion. Deborah Micocci was great! She answered all of my questions during the test drive and located a new XC60 R-Design that met my specifications at your Dulles location. It took just one day to bring it in and within hours, it was mine! The Don Beyer Falls Church Team is the best. I am really enjoying my new car. Thank you!

I left Don Beyer Volvo feeling very disrespected and discriminated against. I am a young African American Woman. My bank sent an approval letter to the dealership, but I was told I couldn't take the car until I brought my full down payment. This confused three of the salesmen (whom were of different ethnicities) as they see many Caucasian customers leave with their new car in this same circumstance, without leaving a full down payment. The next insult was when "Kevin Buehler", the Finance Manager, told me that MY cash would not be accepted and I would need to bring a "cashiers check" for my full down payment amount. Once I confirmed with the same three sales agents that they absolutely accept cash and personal checks, I realized that I was being singled out for some reason. I absolutely dislike anyone saying they feel discriminated against without a valid situation to prove that strong accusation. This situation certainly makes me realize how unfortunate the world is to still have this sort of ignorant and hateful energy still existent. After sending a letter to 2 owners and the General Manager, they passed my situation on to Michael Beyer who called with a very insincere "I'm sorry" and then dead silence. I am unsure why the Beyer family accepts and allows this despicable behavior at the Don Beyer dealership. I will certainly be spreading the word online to keep others from feeling the hurt and disrespect that I felt. What should have been an awesomely rewarding experience, turned into a sadly unfortunate situation.

I have been servicing my Kia Sedona Minivan at Don Beyer for 4+ years and still have broken side mirrors and a broken passenger-side sliding door. I have been extremely patient because they always say the right things, but at the end of the day if you can not fix a vehicle you can not be considered a first-rate service center. There is no communication between various departments (mechanics, service representatives, loaner car department) and the consumer pays for that dearly (pun intended). They are extremely condescending and patronizingnot sure if it is because I am female, but if I say something is broken and show video, take me for my word. Their response is if they can not reproduce problem in the shop, there is no problem. And defective side mirrors are not thought to be a priority as I was told "it is not dangerous. And if you need to adjust them, just push them manually." How is that an appropriate response? I really have enjoyed the Kia minivan and am in the market for a new car. Unfortunately I will not be purchasing another Sedona because I can not subject myself to another 4+ years of this "service". And as for Corporate's response to just go to another dealership, why should the consumer now be the one to travel extra miles and be further inconvenience because the closer dealership in inadequate? I do sincerely hope that Beyer Kia is help accountable for their poor overall customer service.

We were in the market to purchase a car, after our vehicle was totalled in an accident. Our Subaru Forrester served us very well (I walked away from a rollover accident!) but I was determined after this experience for our next car to be among the safest and most reliable on the road - Volvo. But we are also saving up for expenses, so we wanted to get a used one. Charles Haddon at Don Beyer Volvo was extremely personable, professional and honest - he is a man of utmost character and integrity. He took great pains to describe everything, and answered all of our questions, making sure to keep lines of communication open. If he didn't know something, he was honest enough to say so; and hard-working enough to research and find the answer. Everyone at the dealership treated us with respect and professionalism. I cannot recommend this dealership highly enough, especially if you appreciate honesty and transparency in a business relationship. Should you decide to purchase a vehicle from them, they will take very good care of you.

I did an all cash transaction because I needed my title quick for export. The sales person was quiet new but did his best. His manager was short in his remarks. He lied about when the title of the vehicle would be received. Later phone call inquiries resulted in some terrible experiences. They lied only to close my transaction. My experience was that of being dumped in voicemails. I was lied to. As a result my early payment for the shipment of the car was almost lost, and booking for export was disrupted due to wrong information by this dealer and employees. Different people will come on the phone and lie the more. One of the employees who noted that he had been working there for more than years came on the phone and told me that my tag arrived that day, whereas I was inquiring about a title. It was as if they were not listening to the customer's concerns.I will never ue this dealer ever. I will not advise any firend or family to purchase a car from them. These are a bunch of liars

I had a great experience at this dealership up until the point that I had to work with their finance manager, Gabriel Broad. He acts pompous and outright lies about other loan options in order to get you to select his. All dealers do this, however, he does it in a condescending way. When the transaction was complete and I waited for my sales guy to finish with another customer, he just sat there and made a personal phone call in front of me - not suggesting to me that I could wait at another desk for my salesperson. It is a shame that this dealership hired such an amateur to work there and ruin a good car buying experience.

Don Beyer Volvo is a family owned dealership that treats you like you're a member of the family. If you're looking for great Volvo service, you won't feel apprehensive taking your car to Don Beyer Volvo in Falls Church. The Beyers have been selling and servicing Volvos in Falls Church for nearly four decades, and they are a fixture in the community. I've run into other Volvo dealers who have told me that Don Beyer served as the model for building their own dealerships. As a Volvo enthusiast, I won't trust my car with just anyone. Chris Prevatt in the Don Beyer service department has overseen the service on my Volvos for years. Chris knows the key to good business is developing long-term relationships with his customers, earning their trust, and doing right by them every visit. He's honest, knowledgeable, fair, and good natured. He takes personal responsibility for making sure your car is fixed right and that you know about upcoming services or potential problem areas that might lurk around the corner. He's fun to hang out with too. Over the years, I've referred many people to Chris, and they all agree it's the best auto repair service they've ever experienced. If you're tired of the usual run-around with car repair shops, check out Don Beyer in Falls Church. Ask for Chris.

Recently, my father's car was dead, and he had it towed to an auto body shop recommended by AAA. Within 10 minutes of receiving the car on their lot, the auto body shop called my father and said the car needed a new alternator, battery, and several belts. The shop said it would cost nearly $1000 to repair. Because my father had recently replaced the alternator, we knew it was unlikely it needed replaced and figured the auto body shop was trying to take advantage of my father, who is elderly and doesn't know a lot about cars. In addition, the car has an out-of-State plate, so they likely assumed they could swindle him.Although the car is not a Volvo, we had it towed to Don Beyer in Falls Church. We own several Volvos and knew that Chris Prevatt would ensure we would get an honest opinion. Sure enough, Oliver checked the car, and it only needed the battery replaced. The car is now running great, and my father is taking it out of town on a trip this weekend. We are very grateful to Chris Prevatt and the Don Beyer team for being truthful and giving us a fair deal when our cars need repair. Unfortunately, at a time when many auto shops jump at the chance to make a buck by taking advantage of the perceived naivete of car owners, we know we can always trust Chris and the whole Don Beyer team. Lesson learned--always tow to Don Beyer.

Normally I would not rate anyone perfect, a "5", but Yousef certainly deserves that rating. He is extremely patient (I've been searching for the right vehicle for 3 years), cooperative (he fulfilled every reasonable request I had), well spoken, knowledgeable, and presents himself professional but relaxed. He is definitely NOT the high pressure salesman most of us detest. Even as he sensed I was close to making a decision he didn't call me and sent only one or two emails in the last month - mostly to remind me that the 5 year warranty was going to revert to 4 years. This is our fifth Volvo since 1966 and we bought five of them from Don Beyer but Yousef made this the most pleasant buying experience. Will has been wonderful to work with. He always calls when he says he will to let us know when the car is ready and goes through exactly what has been done and the cost. We service both of our Volvos at Don Beyer of Falls Church and have never been disappointed. While we may pay slightly more for service going through a dealership, it is worth it to always be treated kindly, never questioned about the problems you are describing, and to always have a Volvo loaner vehicle to use while the car is being serviced. The $29.95 oil change coupons that they frequently have as a part of their e-newsletter are worth it and in that respect, their pricing is very competitive.

Don Beyer Volvo of Falls Church, Virginia has always provided excellent service for my 2004 XC90 and 2012 S60. In particular, my service representative Gene Sladkin is always extremely professional and courteous. A good example of their excellent customer care occurred in 2007, when the transmission on my XC90 died. The warranty had just expired, but Gene worked with Volvo Corp. and got the replacement transmission repaired at no cost to me (a $7,000 value!)I cannot recommend Don Beyer for all Volvo owner highly enough!

Mr. Sladkin made the entire unfortunately experience of having my car in the shop for serveral days following an accident as simple as could be. He was extremely professional and made me feel as if I were his only customer. He kept me up-to-date on the dealings with my insurance company. My car was like new when it was returned to me.I was extremely pleased and relieved. Mr. Sladkin is definitely customer-oriented.

My wife and I both purchased vehicles within the past year and a half from Don Beyer in Falls Church, VA. I purchased a 2011 KIA Optima and my wife purchased a 2011 KIA Sorrento. In every instance of contact with this dealership, we have received nothing but exceptional service. This began with the sales process, car prep and customer care at the point of sale and continues as we follow our warranty schedule of services. The service representative we have used at Don Beyer is Eugene Sladko. Gene is exceptional and is representative of everyone we have dealt with at Beyer. He takes time to listen, make suggestions and assures understanding. His follow up is right on point. I trust these people explicity.Neither my wife nor I, have had the slightest problem with our vehicles, getting appointments scheduled as called for, or receiving our vehicles back ready for the road (as well as washed and cleaned each time - a nice perk). I would recommend DB and their staff, with a very high rating for their service department (Gene) to anyone. My wife's sister and her daughter as a reult, have also perchased KIAs (Seouls) and are also very happy.Bob

I have been working with Don Beyer Service for 8 years now and have never been disappointed. I have 2 Volvos now and only take them to Volvo to maintain them. Both were purchased used from Beyer and both are in excellent shape. The location is convenient, a loaner car is always available, service is done with care and competence. If I wait, the waiting area is clean, fresh coffee provided. My questions and concerns always addressed and answered. I appreciate that Volvo always wants to do its best for me.

I have worked with Yousef on two new cars at this point. Both times, he has gone out of his way to serve us. He has searched for the right vehicle, helped with option selection, and saved us as much money as possible. He is always available for questions and takes extra care and time to train us on new aspects of the car, including when we bring back for service and parts. Yousef's personal demeanor and product knowledge are the best we have seen, and we have now bought more than 20 vehicles during our lives. He is so courteous and dedicated to getting it right that it comes through in everything that he does. There is a real reason he is always one of the top sales people in the country for Volvo. Keep him!!!

I am looking to purchase a car and visited this dealer. Omar Pinto, the sales consultant, greeted me very nicely and explained the car and the available discounts very throughly. He was clearly trying to give us as much discount as possible. This Kia dealer do not have any hidden costs as he showed me the excel workbook while working through the numbers. There was no going back and forth between the manager to get a better deal and no wasting time with pricing. Omar is a person to go to if you visit this dealershop. I am recommending him to all of my friends who are looking to purchase a Kia car!

We initially worked with Basir who was very nice and we were happy to deal with. The problem came when Joey got involved. I have never witnessed or heard of a worse car buying experience. We sat down with him to go over price. We had it on paper. We spent 2 hours there while trying to keep our 2 year old occupied. AFTER we signed ALL the paperwork and the finance guy went to get a final signature from Joey, he raised the price $500 claiming we could not combine 2 rebates. That may be true, but why waste our time and theirs other than he thought he could get something out of us. He could have made this clear when we sat down to ensure we understood the price and finance rebates and rates. When we complained he could not have been ruder. Seems to me if even his finance guy had the wrong price there was something intentionally deceptive going on.

My wife and I are expecting a child and wanted a relatively nice SUV at a reasonable price to start the family. We chose the 2013 Kia Sorento SX and worked with Sean Spicher, the salesman. The buying (and trade-in) process was, from start to finish, awfully orchestrated and mixed with exceptionally rude customer service. The following mistakes were made on their part: they forgot to ask for our cash down payment before leaving the dealership. We had to remind them before we drove off because we didn't want to drive back and pay (we live ~40 miles away). Next, they forgot to ask for our title on our trade-in and let us drive off the lot. They made me send them the title through the mail at my cost. Next week or so passes by, they said they needed the security interest filing to sell my trade-in. Fine, so I drive down there and drop it off. I drove down because this process had now taken me to the point of our temp tags expiring and they wouldn't send the tags without the ability to sell my trade-in. They begrudgingly agree to give me $20 in gas and I get the tags for our new car. Again, a week or so later and they now need the power of attorney for transfer of a vehicle signed (we signed it at the dealership but they must have lost it). What is going on? This lack of organization is embarrassing! I can only hope I'm at the end of this process.Switching to customer service. Sean Spicher was as rude as I've ever seen a salesman. Only reason I dealt with him was because this was the only dealership which had the color of the Sorento my wife wanted. In dealing with Joey Brashears after the purchase, he couldn't have cared less about our aggravation in dealing with the DEALER mistakes. He even went so far as to say that if I understood vehicle transfer laws, I would have known to give them the title when selling my vehicle to them. Am I wrong in thinking that's not my responsibility? I realize that saying they were rude is subjective, but I'm 45 days out from the initial purchase and to still be aggravated at these guys is telling. With regard to the Sorento we really do enjoy the car although there is a slight rattle in the back. Nothing I can't fix (or the warranty, but yet another hassle), but it's just the point. In retrospect, while I really do enjoy the vehicle we purchased, I would have rather bought this vehicle in a different color from a different dealer than to have gone through the massive frustration and useless battles we've encountered with Joey, Sean, and the Tag/Title team at Don Beyer Kia.I would recommend avoiding this dealer like the plague.

I can't believe the great comments that others have to offer regarding service. I have been going their for service for 3 years and every problem necessitates 2 trips for resolution. Whatever they "fix" is never really fixed and I have to go back again. Some of the guys on the service line do not seem familiar with the cars and always have to call the mechanics to get an answere to questions. Additionally, the waiting room is uncomfortable. They tried to spiff it up with an oriental carpet and nice coffee machine, but there are no tables to "work" at, and the electrical outlets are ackward to access. If I had another option I would never go to Beyer Volvo for service.

We were not able to purchase our car from this dealership because they did not have the exact car we wanted, but Mr. Pinto was an amazing sales person!!! He is so honest and straightforward and informative!! I would recommend him most highly to anyone who is interested in purchasing a KIA. If every car sales man was like Omar, the world of car buying would be a much more honest, straightforward place. He presents excellent, out the door, detailed, price quotes, not in the second or third quote, but in the first quote. You don't have to haggle and wonder if you are being taken advantage of, and he does not pressure you with silly lines like, "today is actually a great day to buy this car." He is an honest, nice, intelligent, helpful man, who is incredibly knowledgeable about his product. I recommend him most highly!!

Last week we purchased a Volvo XC70 through Don Beyer Volvo in Falls Church and could not have imagined a better experience. We tested and evaluated a number of other cars and are completely satisfied with our decision to buy through Don Beyer Volvo. Every individual we interacted with throughout the proceess was friendly and helpful, and we felt comfortable during every step of the process. We visited the dealership several times over the course of a week and the result is that I'm confident we ended up with the vehicle that best fit our needs and budget. As an example, my wife and I had settled on a configuration for the XC70, but after we decided to pursue the overseas delivery option (which I highly recommend checking out) the folks at Don Beyer walked us through each of the options we had chosen and pointed out that we were able to unbundle some of them because we were taking delivery at the factory in Sweden. As a result, we ended up *not* getting some things we really didn't need and paying less for the car. I don't know what this means for the dealership's bottom line, but I DO know they ended up with happier customers.I don't usually write these reviews, but I was so impressed by the entire staff at Don Beyer Volvo our experience there, I was compelled to share it with others.

I got an email from Kia informing me that my Kia Sorrento was due its first maintenance service (bought it back in September). After some silly mistake about their operating days (it was during the Christmas holiday--the receptionist offered me an appointment on a day they were closed), I was finally got the first available weekend appointment on Saturday, 1/7. I got there this morning at around 8:45am, and there had to be at least 10-12 people ahead of me. There was a line that queued up the steps, no chairs whatsoever. Worst of all, they only had ONE person working the entire Kia line, David. It took customers on the average 45-55 minutes to finally get served. Their reason for the excessive wait? 'We don't have a full staff on the weekends'!A nice gentleman named Terry helped me, however he couldn't answer most of my questions because, guess what.... he works on the Volvo side!! He was just helping David out. Anyway, wanting to get out of there, he did the necessary paperwork for the minor problems of my car, and whatever maintenance is needed for its 5K miles of use in less than 10 minutes. I was ready to go home and get my weekend chores started.I was assured a ride home by everyone I've communicated (the lady on the phone who booked my appointment, Terry, David, the website), but another 'guess what' moment--Cesar, their one and only driver, was not available until 10:30, another good 45 minutes of waiting!! I asked David and Terry if there's a way I could just be dropped off by anyone on the lot since I literally lived a mile and a half from there, they said 'no, only Cesar can drive people home'. So my dish--why schedule your staffing levels based on your needs rather than around your customers' needs? There was only ONE person servicing the Kia desk, a long line of disgruntled customers, only ONE person providing rides, and no flexibility as to who else can give rides! You know pretty well that customers who schedule on the weekends do not have time during the week, hence they value their time and appreciate the convenience of weekend hours. However, if made to wait two hours to drop off a car and to be driven home (I didn't wait--I walked home), than I'd rather take my business elsewhere. I'm going to Jiffy Lube next time.

I purchased a Volvo V70 2.5T from these nice people back in April, 2011. First off, I drove from Williamsburg, VA to Falls Church, a 3 hour drive, to buy the car. Quite frankly, nobody else in the State of Virginia had the inventory these people have. I was looking for a Volvo wagon with VERY specific features. Lets just say that a beige interior, like about 80 percent of the Volvo wagons out there, would be a dealer killer. I got the black interior that I HAD to have, and got the car Certified Pre Owned to boot. A NON Volvo Cerified Pre Owned (CPO) vehicle was ALSO a deal killer for me, since the Volvo CPO program basically extends the Volvo factory warranty out to 7 years / 100,000 miles.Nimat, the salesman, was VERY easy to work with. He was even able to get me a set of rubber floor mats and a plastic pan for the cargo area. Both of these items were VERY important to me because I haul Newfoundland dogs with my wagon. The price on the vehicle was thousands less than a COMPARABLY equipped 2007 Volvo at other dealers. The worst part of the experience was the 3 hour drive to the dealership!

I purchased a XC60 at this dealership in 2010. It was a 2011 model year. I seem to have some kind of computer problem with the car. The short story is the car will not start sometimes. It is in the shop for the third time. I took the car in on 12/07/2011 and was told on 12/13/2011 that the part would not be in until 12/21/2011. In my book this is unacceptable.

I bought a used Volvo XC 70 from my favorite Subaru dealer (because there are really no such thing as used Subarus!). I had it serviced at Don Beyer. The service was timely, excellent, friendly, and fair - every time I ever took it in. An example of the fairness aspect is when the "check Engine" light came on, the tech used his portable meter to check and re-set it - no charge! He just said that if it came back on, come back in. That's not how it plays at other dealers and repair shops.Don Beyer even set me up with loaner cars during services when my used volvo - not even bought there was in their shop. When it was time for a new car, the strength of their service department led me to buy a volvo from the dealership side.

Over the last 25 years I have bought 5 new cars, all in the Northern Virgina area. Shopping for a new Honda was painful. Dealers act like they are doing you a favor. Mazda experience was okay, Subaru was very good, but Don Beyer Volvo/Kia was by far the best, and the only one I would rate excellent. I got a new Kia Soul for a very fair price from Larry, a real good guy who never tried to BS me. Service dept. is outstanding. Both Chris and Gene are VERY competent, always checking/knowing my car's service history accurately and neither trying to push unwanted or unneeded things on me, only suggesting Nitrofill, which I am quite happy they did. Not sure of the names in the Parts dept. but I bought a few things after the sale. Over the phone they took my request for items that came in very quickly and the people there were very friendly. Lastly, the dealer provides a limo ride to either work or home; and Ceasar is a very nice man and excellent driver and knows the area like the back of his hand. I would expect this level of service if I bought an expensive Volvo convertible. The fact that I get the same service for buying a $17,000 Kia is very telling. As in any corporation, the quality starts at the top and is reflected all of the way down the line. In this case I believe Don Beyer has set a very high mark indeed. Hats off to him and his whole operation.

Went in with an assessment on my trade of $19,500 from a Ford dealer and web information on the average price of the Volvo XC60 with all the desired features/packages we were looking at. Their trade offer was abysmal and their lowest offer on the new car was $800 more than the area average. The finance manager also accused my husband of being "inflexible" because we knew what both cars were actually worth and wouldn't accept being screwed over on the price of either, let alone both. Forget these guys. Just head up to Maryland and talk to the folks at Darcars Volvo in Rockville. Better offer on my trade and invoice price right about the regional average. No hassle, just great service.

This is the only place I'd buy a car and that's due to the follow up by my salesman and the attention we get from the Service Department. We've purchased four Volvos from Don Beyer (from the only salesman I'd buy a car from, Yousef Alhooie) and when the cars need regular service and/or have a problem, both these men come to our rescue without fail and give us peace of mind. The oldest car, our X-country, has had some age related issues but truly, Don Beyer keeps "the ride alive." Purchased new KIA Soul in November for daughter residing in VA. From start to finish I found the personnel to be less then competent in handling out of state transactions. I have purchased around 60 vehicles in the last twenty years for the family. By far, this was the most distasteful encounter with a dealership. They made a mistake in computing the sales tax to pay to the state of Texas and upon the arrival of the plates attempted to extract an additional $200+ in order to release the plates. The sales manager of the KIA side of the dealership was not only ignorant, he was rude and offensive. Subsequently, this issue was resolved with the General Sales Manager who thoroughly researched the facts and came to the conclusion that I was correct. He then apologized for the heavy handed tactics of their personnel in dealing with this matter. He could have gone further by possibly offering an oil change or two, but that wasn't forthcoming. I would not recommend to military personnel to purchase a car through this dealership especially if the buyer wishes to register it in the state that is their home of record. Also, purchasers need to be very careful in going over the figures because this dealership charges a very high fee for their services along with additional fees for their use of as outside service to obtain the registration and plates. For your own sake and peace of mind, beware of their hidden fees.

Service staff is very friendly but you need to insist that you get your loaner car and that should be comprable to what you turn in ...a Volvo! If they cannot give you a loaner when you are having problems with your car and having it towed, insist on them finding you one. After all, you bought a premium car, not a Hyundai.

While mechanical breakdowns cannot always be attributed to dealer-fault, purchasing a Volvo S60 2.4T only three months ago could suggest Lemon. While the staff are pleasant I do not believe that my experience with multiple visits for mechanical failures suggest that the problem here is not the service interfacers but the quality of worksmanship or mechanics. I would not recommend. If I make two or three visits to the service center in one year, then I would recommend this dealership.
