Went to Dover Chevrolet in search of my first pick up truck. Went to see an older truck that I thought was a decent deal. The truck was technically sold on Dover Honda’s website, but they insisted I work with Rochester Chevy instead (no big deal, it made sense and was across the parking lot). Upon arrival to Dover Chevy I got out of my car to be greeted by the salesman who seemed unenthusiastic about my presence. He brought me to a vehicle which was a completely different truck then I came to see, this truck was in terrible condition and I wasn’t interested. I proceeded to ask about the truck I wanted to see and was told “it’s in the back” (they clearly were trying to sell me on a truck they couldn’t get rid of). They took me to the Chevy in the back I originally came to see, and I did a walk over of the truck. I noticed right away it had these massive fender flares that dealerships typically put on when they are covering rust. I asked if they put them on and the salesman said yes, when I inquired if there was rust under them he said “not much”. I told him I was not interested and he said with an attitude “well these are cheapest trucks I have”. After that I was done, I wasn’t there to see just the cheapest trucks, I was starting at the low price point and working my way up. I eventually left and went to Chevy in Rochester where I was treated respectfully and shown very nice vehicles. I left there very happy in a clean 2016 Chevy 1500 z71. I’m a young Hispanic man covered in tattoos, while I usually don’t assume my appearance has anything to with how I’m treated, I couldn’t help but feel like it contributed to my poor experience at Dover Chevy. The assumption that I didn’t have money to spend was really the icing on the cake.

Attempted to buy a car here on 10/5 after signing paperwork I noticed my trade listed at over 10k of what I was offered and decided not to go through with it. I contacted them again for something more reasonable and purchased the vehicle on 10/16. They then sent over the wrong paperwork and I barely got 2 weeks until the first payment of my new car and they will not resolve the issue. I will edit this review when the issue is resolved. The vin matching both my trade and new vehicle.

Two weeks ago my husband had his truck serviced at Dover Chevrolet. While waiting he admired a 2016 Chevy Malibu that he thought would be perfect for me. I wasn't interested in buying a new car at the time but low and behold my car started acting up last week so off to the dealership we went.The salesman Wally Coran couldn't have been nicer or more relaxed in his approach. He had me take it for a test ride on the highway so I could be sure I would be happy with the acceleration and handling of the vehicle.It ran as well as it looked and I was hooked. The management team was able to get a better than average finance plan thru their credit union and the entire process was painless. Wally introduced me to the service manager while my car was being prepped and I ordered new mats from the parts department.I would highly recommend this dealership and in particular Wally for great service.

I was looking for a pre-owned truck with certain accessories and of course a price to fit my budget. I noticed on the Dover Chevy website a GMC that fit the bill.. I left work and took the truck for a test ride, bought the truck an hour later!! My experience at the dealership was nothing I could have imagined..never was I pressured even though it was the 30th of the month! Truck was delivered clean and ready to go!! Great experience leasing a new CR-V from Dover Honda. Josh "Bow Tie Guy" Hersey did a great job, streamlined the process and got us into our new vehicle in short order. While on a short recuperative getaway in York, ME the tire pressure light lit up on the dashboard of my recently-purchased Certified 2012 Honda CR-V. Not wanting to take a chance on a 3 1/2 hour drive home to CT, I looked up the nearest Honda dealer. It was in Dover, NH,about a 25- minute drive from where we were staying. I did not make an appointment, suspecting (hoping) it was nothing more than the tire needing air, but since I had spinal surgery a few weeks ago and couldn't bend, I was not able to put air in the tire myself. I considered that it was possible I had picked up a nail, and I wanted to be sure my car was safe to drive. As I pulled into a brand-new service drive-in, I was welcomed by a nice young man who asked me what I needed. After I explained the situation he immediately set about servicing the dar. My wife and I were ushered into a waiting area that was new, comfortable, and sparkling clean. After about 25 minutes the service writer (James) came to us with completed paperwork, and he told us that indeed, I had picked up a roofing nail, and the car was ready to be driven. I was extremely pleased with the prompt attention we received, the friendly and welcoming ambience not only provided by James, but by everyone else that we spoke to, and the beautiful and practical new facility. Congratulations and our sincere thanks are offered by us for providing a most positive experience at Dover Honda! Your dealership is a class act!

Have bought several vehicles and never have I had the most unsuspected, wonderful experience I had with Paula at Dover Honda. She asked me about what I wanted and needed not only in the vehicle, but my budget, use of the vehicle and helped me decide what worked more for my needs vs just what I thought was a "good looking Accord" Paula was also attentive to the time, if I may be hungry, needed a drink or even offered the opportunity for me to simply take a walk and stretch my legs. It wasn't that I was sitting along time ... it was more about making my time there enjoyable and definitely comfortable.The new building is fantastic and they have a great kids room (watched as Paula made sure a video was playing for the children who's Dad was waiting in their service department).I could go on and on ... I have already referred a couple of friends Paula's way knowing she'll take great care of them as she did me! Thank you Paula Redden!!!

I found the staff to be very professional, concerned, and courteous. I felt very taken care of. The facilities are modern, clean, and in excellent condition. The car was ready at the time promised. I had 3 new keys made for my car. It would have been nice if the keys had been labeled as there was quite a bit of confusion which keys operated the doors and which ones working in the ignition (they are different in this car). The service desk did not know which were which. The door keys that were cut do not operate the drivers door lock very well, perhaps a solution could have been proposed when I picked up the car.

Have watched the expansion over the years and own vehicles from both sides (Chevrolet and Honda) also have friends and relatives that I have had form relationships with the dealership as well. My first time into the new facility. I was surprised to see few familiar faces. Brandon Ross greeted me and went over the work order. I was impressed that the tech found that I did not need a tie rod. Another dealership told me I did. Brandon diagnosed some shaking in the car. All went well. Very comfortable waiting area. As someone who has worked in customer service for the better part of my life, I have enormous respect for those who make customer satisfaction paramount to his or her job. Everyone I encountered at Dover Honda took this dedication to a whole new level. I knew I was going to buy a car from this dealership the moment I met Paula Redden out in the community before ever having stepped foot on the lot. Paula is a character: genuine, patient, honest and terribly funny. She didnt push me to jump into anything too quickly, which is one of the biggest deterrents from buying from a dealership or interacting with most sales reps to begin with. Some time had passed after my first few inquiries on a couple of used cars but I finally showed my face. Paula was unavailable that day which made me a little nervous, but that soon subsided the second that I shook hands with her coworker, Josh Hersey. From start to finish working with Josh was effortless. Although he is incredibly knowledgeable, it is his genuinely kind and sincere personality that took me from my initial hesitation in buying, to making the purchase without the least bit of fear or doubt (which I am very prone to). Josh clearly loves his job and his customers. He is an absolute asset to this dealership. I work in healthcare in the Emergency Department. No patient wants to be there and their fear can be debilitating. This is similar to how I have always felt when trying to buy a car, until now. I will forever work with Dover Honda and have already recommended them to my friends and family. I cannot thank Josh and everyone at Dover Honda enough for such a great car buying experience.

Paula was really great at helping us choose the best vehicle for our future. We knew we wanted to have more children and the CRV we currently had was not quite big enough. We had been thinking about getting another CRV in the meantime but were interested in the Pilot. Once we took a test drive we knew that is exactly what we needed. Yesterday, we were able to take a long trip with 4 adults and 2 children very comfortable and that is all thanks to Paula. It was a painless experience and Paula did a great job at answering any and all questions for us.

I purchased a Certified Pre-Owned 2013 Honda Civic LX in mid-May, and Paula was knowledgeable and patient throughout the process. I never felt any pressure to buy more than I needed, or to opt for more than I could afford. Paula was considerate of my own daily driving needs, and she undoubtedly helped me make the right choice. Marsha in the finance department was equally as considerate, and managed to find me an excellent rate. I wish I could give these guys "No Star". After visiting 5 other dealers in the area, Dover Honda was the worse BY FAR. It's really a shame since Honda is my favorite line of cars. All I wanted to do was test drive a Honda Pilot instead I got a rookie salesperson who was more into getting my personal financial information written down than allowing me a test drive the car. After wasting time filling out paperwork, I had a second sales person, a "SALES MANAGER" come out to tell me I couldn't afford to buy the car I wanted to test drive. Very unprofessional. Folks, i own a business, i can pay cash for my cars, I don't have to finance. Do your self a favor and visit Grappone Honda instead, I have bought cars from them before and would never had this kind of treatment!

We selected Dover Honda because they were a recommended dealer from the USAA Buyer Service. Most of the transaction was completed before we arrived at the dealership and the total time it took to buy the new car was less than three hours. The salesman was efficient, friendly and accommodating.

The sales people, the finance people, and the service people, are the most knowledgeable, courteous, staff of any dealership I have ever dealt with. They truly care that you get what you need. There's no hype or high pitched pressure. They listen to you, ask good questions and then partner with you to be sure you are in the right vehicle. I recommend them without reservation.

went in for inspection, new all season floor mats, and new taillight lens. they had recieved the wrong lens, but could do the inspection and floor mats that day and tail llight lens the next day. went i started my car to leave the radio was playing quite loud on a station not of my choosing . when home i went to put away the old floor mats only driver side front mat had been removed, the other old mats were under the new mats. when i told the service advisor about my experience two advisors made a strong effort to covince me that for service tech to leave a customers radio playing loudly on a station of his choosing ,and to only remove one old flooor mat when installing new mats, was quite normal,and even offended that i stated that this experience caused me to be reluctant to return to dover honda for service. am considering foregoing my free oil change. have yet to recieve a service review card . invoice no. hocs471213 customer no.83891

We were having trouble with one of the window switches and an air bag service light. They fixed the problems and also did our oil change, even though we had an appointment for another day for the oil change, and rotated our tires.

It's really hard for me to review this dealership because my aunt bought me this car. So naturally I was very happy and excited. I will say on my way home from NH to NY the low tire pressure light came on and I wondered if anyone checked the tire pressure before selling the car. The last thing you need on a long trip is for any light to come on. My boyfriend checked the tires and put air in the tires so I'm waiting now to see if it happens again. Obviously I'm covered if anything happens but just a pain. Other than that I'm very happy.

Top quality . I took my car in to be serviced. When the shuttle looked like it wasn't going to back in time for me to get to work, one of the employees offered to give me a ride. When the car was ready to be picked up they called and made arrangements for me to be picked up on my schedule. Everything was clean and everyone was friendly.

I bought a Honda Accord from Dover Honda twelve years ago. Over these 12 years I've gotten excellent service whenever I've visited them. The staff is thoughtful and always very helpful, so I had no reason not to go back there when it seemed that it was time for a more up to date vehicle. I'm 80 years old now and do not do the driving that I used to do. I explained my situation to Susan Garland, the sales consultant I first spoke with, and was impressed with the careful attention she gave me. Sue made good use of the help available from other staff at Dover Honda and I was soon the owner of a very nice 2013 Honda Civic that had received excellent attention as a lease car. I've already seen the continuing thoughtfulness of several Dover Honda staff members and I know it will continue through the years ahead.

they were quick, courteous and personable. been an owner of 2 crv's and 3 odyssey's and have dealt with the service department for several years. they have always given us the best service and are so friendly. our salesperson heidi is the best. i have people stop me in parking lots in fact it happen last monday at market basket parking lot and they ask all kinds of questions about our odyssey. we have the burgundy color and its very rich looking that people just stop and comment on it. i answer there questions and refer them to honda in dover and especially to heidi. my odyssey is a taxi for all my friends in our retirement community for our adventures to activities, movies and etc. anyone that rides in our vehicle comments what a comfortable and smooth riding vehicle it is. as you can see we love everyone of the vehicles we've bought at honda dover.

The gentlemen in the Service Department have been a fantastic team with which to work. They have always been MOST accommodating and go out of their way to work within my schedule. Granted, Jeremy is a former student of mine (from a long, long time ago.....etc.) and is always SO cheerful and pleasant. I have no concerns with having my truck serviced there at all.

I purchased a used car recently. The sales man did a fine job, but when the sales manager (Im guessing it was the manager) found out we did not plan to buy the car immediately after looking at it he had an attitude towards us. We told him multiple times we wanted to take a day to think about it which I thought was reasonable, he kept saying what can he do for us to buy it that day, I told him nothing we want to take a day, then he just walked off without saying anything. Anyway we returned the next day to buy the car I told them I will take it if it comes with a full tank of gas and a new inspection sticker, after the paper work we left it had half a tank of gas and the inspection sticker was about 6 months old, its just a minor thing but kind of annoying. A couple days after we bought it we needed to contact the finance department because of refinancing GOOD LUCK GETTING THEM TO CALL YOU BACK. I called twice a day for 6 days until the wonderful Jack in finance decided to finally call back.

Lack of customer service You are just $ to them. Damaged our car but made sure we paid for contracted services. We made the contract and expected to keep our word. No discount or a sorry other than regular employees Will NOT be back and letting our friends know why. AFTER TALKING to GM she said she would look into it She tried once to call us and missed me. I was traveling and lost her phone#. I guess one call per person. Again be careful.

After a previous negative experience earlier this year, I reluctantly went back for a minor repair and oil change. When I was told that there was something else wrong with the car, I was quoted a price and was expected to pay a certain price. However, when I arrived to pick up my vehicle and saw the bill to be $100 more than expected I was extremely disappointed. Having researched the prices for the three services needed and quoted a price, that is what I was expecting to pay. I find it appalling that the service department will quote you a price and I return only to pay an outstanding amount more than expected. We have bought four cars from Dover Honda and have always had all four vehicles serviced and repaired there. However, after the consistent negative experiences with the service department, the four of us will not be coming back. I am very disappointed with the service at this dealership and when the time comes, I will not be buying another Honda.

The manager of this dealership, Nancy Oeser, recently contacted me after I posted about some very bad recent experiences with the service department at Dover Honda. I was impressed to find that she was genuinely interested in using the feedback to improve customer service. I found Nancy to be very professional and very sincere. She reviewed the situation with me, took notes, identified opportunities for training staff and improving customer services processes and ultimately made an effort to get help for me on a Honda warranty-related issue. She also offered to provide some assistance from the dealership and to arrange for the paint job that the roof of my car needs at this time due to an error at the Honda factory. While I was disappointed that Honda didn't ultimately cover the whole thing (it seemed to me that my circumstances ought to have warranted this), they did respond to her request by offering to pay all but $400 on the paint job, rental not included, Nancy offered $200 from the dealership to defray some of the cost to me and made all the arrangements with the body shop. Now, after my frustrating experiences with the service manager and with going it alone with American Honda on this, I felt that this was far more reasonable than what I was offered to solve this problem before (which was next to nothing). While I would have left there walking on air had I only had to cover the rental myself (and none of the paint job), I at least left there feeling that I had dealt with an honest person who was making a sincere effort to provide quality service. I have decided to post, for now, on the initial problem-solving effort then post again after this transaction is completed (which should be at the end of next week). I'm hopeful that I'll have another good experience -- maybe even a stellar one (five stars and all that). I am also cautiously optimistic that there will be improvements in customers' service experience as the general manager uses feedback to help employees respond more effectively to the needs of customers. I have enough confidence in the general manager that I think that I will be able to continue to have my car serviced there, as I have for the last eight years What I will recommend to other customers at this point is this: If you have any problem with Honda Service, you may want to contact the General Manager at Dover Honda Chevrolet, Nancy Oeser. I think you will find in her a competent professional who is interested in solving your problem and in using feedback to improve the quality of service in the future.

I was a Honda Civic owner previously but was looking to up grade a little. I test drove a Accord EX and Sport both with 6 spd Man trans. I liked the EX better. Dover Honda did not have the EX with 6 spd manual. I met Susan Garland, sales lady extraordinaire, who works so hard to make sure you are pleased with the experience. Susan was able to get me a great price for a car the dealership did not even have. They told me if I would give a deposit they would find me the car I wanted in 96 hours or less. Had my doubts, but Heidi and Susan and Bruce the Mgr made it happen and let me test drive the car before I would agree to take it. The car was ready and when I arrived I was given the keys and told go test ride and let us know. Great car and then I told Susan lets close in two days. I financed part of the price and worked with Gary with that and on Friday, the next to last day of the month in May,I took the delivery of the car. Susan stayed even after they were closing on Friday to explain the features of the car as well as to make sure we could synch up my I-Phone 5s with the Bluetooth system in the Accord. I have owned the car just over a week and I like it so much that I like now just taking a joy ride. Quiet and comfortable and great ride. I can tell you if you work with Susan she will work so hard for your business and make sure you are pleased. She is really driven and gets great reviews with everyone. Hats off to Susan and if you are looking for a great car buying experience with a great car, go into Dover Honda and ask for Susan Garland.

We went to Dover Honda to look at cars and we're interested on a couple car so the sales person give us a price and we ask if we can get the price down if we paid full up front and she said "yes well of course and she call the sale person who in charge and that person come to us and said so do u like our car and we say yes then he ask how much would u like to paid for the car. Then we answer and he pull his hand out (as he's about to shake hands) and he said well congratulation then as my sister about to shake his hand HE PULL HIS HAND BACK AND HE SAID NO AND LEFT. How rude is that.. We'll never going back there and we'll tell everyone that we know about our awful experience.

When You Want The Best Price and Experience, Talk to Susan G I can't say enough good things about Sue. Not pushy, gentle & kind, not what you associate with car salespersons. She wanted us to get the car we wanted for the price we wanted and we where successful beyond what I should have reasonable hoped for. The service was superb and the car clean at sign off. Can't blame anyone for the too numerous signatures and initials to trade a used car and lease a new one, but that's the lawyers messing about YET it still got done fair and square, no hidden real surprises. The Finance guy got us to upgrade 1 notch up from the base service level but he didn't get pushy when we said no to the deluxe and super deluxe service levels, and we honestly needed a bit more service than the base offered.

Buying new Honda Fit Sport Our sales consultant Susan Garland was excellent! She explained everything in detail and answered all our questions. Our purchase went very smoothly and every step of the process was handled by very professional and caring employees. Closing the purchase took somewhat longer than it should have due to computer glitches and antiquated document printers. All the people we dealt with along the way were very pleasant and kind. We will strongly recommend Dover Honda to friends and family.

This is our third Honda, the first two of which: one certified Accord, one new Civic, we bought at Dover Honda. Our third Honda; Certified Pilot, was purchased at a dealer in MA, lesson learned. Their idea of Honda Certified and what Dover Honda considers 'Certified' were night and day. We now have our third Honda serviced in Dover! If you are looking for a clean, reliable, like new used car, look no further! Their service staff is friendly, professional and does an incredible job of keeping the customer informed of what needs to be done for service. They also have a shuttle service to get you to work and back to the shop on time( kudos to Terri!) Stick with the small dealer who has a great selection and is small enough to care about the customer!

Best dealer in the area by a landslide! We went to several other dealers up and down the seacoast over the course of 2 weeks and found them all to be both pushy and self-serving. I thought buying a new car would be fun, but instead drove home both frustrated and stressed out after visiting other establishments. I found Dover Honda on the web and the telephone sales portion of it was amazing. The quick call back and competitive pricing by Joan sealed the deal for us. Thank you, Joan! When we went into the Dover Honda location, it was very relaxed. We were not pounced on in the parking lot, which was a nice change. Dan Phelan was both professional and warm. He did not pressure us at all and we felt that everything was very fair, from the price of our new Pilot to the trade-in value on my previous car. Speaking of price, we were amazed at the deal we got! We didn't feel the need to dicker over any dollar amounts and this made our entire experience stress-free and FUN. They know exactly what they are doing at this establishment. From start to finish, every employee was wonderful, friendly and low-key. I would go back to this dealership in a heartbeat. I would refer anyone here! After using a GMC dealer in Portsmouth for the last 3 years, we could have easily bought another GMC but we have been very displeased with the level of service and dishonesty. We truly felt they were looking out for themselves and told us whatever was convenient at that moment. Thankfully we shopped around and found a great deal and a great group of people. At 12:10pm on 3/16/14, I called them about the availability of the 07 Mitsubishi Outlander shown on cars.com. A very friendly person by the name of Kevin answered my call and confirmed that the car was available. Considering I was traveling from Maine, he set up an appointment for me at 3:00pm on the same day. He told me to ask for Alan when I arrive. At 12:37pm, I received a call from 603-742-1676. They wanted to make sure that I was going there, because it was a Sunday and they needed to keep Alan there. I confirmed that I would be there on time. I made the trip and reached there at 2:55pm. I met Alan. He said he would be with me in a minute. He talked with a salesperson. Then that salesperson came to me smiling, "Are you here for the 07 Outlander?" I smiled back, "Yes, I am." He said, "Well, it's just been sold. But we have similar cars if you are interested..." I ran. So should you. The reason is very simple: If you could call me to confirm my appointment, couldn't you give me another call if the car were sold within that 2-hour window. Also, if you are lying about little things like these, what else are you lying about? The reason middle class families like mine shop for a used car is maybe we can't afford a new car. We put whatever little savings we have into getting something decent. In return, all we expect from a dealer is a little bit of integrity. A little bit of truthfulness. Why haul a man from ME to NH with the promise of a car that you don't have? Would it help your mission: "Our mission is to make you a customer for life." Please read a missing LOL symbol after that mission statement.

I came in on New Year's Eve at 4pm. By 7pm I was leaving with a new car, a 2013 Honda Insight. I didn't know it was my dream car when I started the process but I do now! Sue couldn't have been more pleasant, welcoming, and helpful. THIS is how buying a car SHOULD be. I had a less than comfortable experience at a different dealership earlier in the day; the difference between the two was is night and day. I have a safe car with excellent gas mileage at a price I only dreamed of paying. I will recommend Dover Honda & Sue to anyone who will listen.

Deceptive business practice....Did not check credit unions for best rates. They refuse to resubmit credit application as we contacted them several times. Finance department told me they did not have current rate sheet w/credit union. Told my wife that credit unions are for people with bad credit. They say he cant resubmit when they are still asking for drivers license copy and insurance binder. They can cancel and resubmit but refuse to do so, because they make more $ thru conventional banks. She requested credit union rates and was told the rate was better with Eastern Bank. I refinanced my car thru service credit union at Subaru Dealership for 2.39 with the same length of her loan. Her rate was 5.45. She has not received any paperwork from the dealer. They have not contacted me as I have made several attempts.

This dealership is fantastic!!! Absolutely no pressure to buy. Salesman was very helpful and did not rush me at all, but encouraged me to go over the car I wanted to buy. When it came time to negotiate the price, I offered one price, then I was counter-offered with a price I was very happy with. The purchase price included a car detailing, and let me say, by the time they finished detailing the car, it looked brand new, inside and out. This was very important to me since this car was an anniversary gift to my wife and they did not let me down. I have to admit that I am a Ford only owner, and that this dealer had the used car I was looking for. With that said, I still highly recommend this dealership for a new or used vehicle. The entire buying process was a very, very good experience and I would buy a vehicle from them again!
