Easiest car buying experience I have encountered. Everything completed by email in writing. There were no surprises from the initiation to completion. Out of 8 Kia dealerships involved Ewald offered the best out the door price, by over $1000. In fact when they could not beat Ewalds price the other dealers claimed Ewald would not deliver on their deal. THEY DID.

My experience with other salespeople previously at other dealerships weren't very good and I was getting very tired of runarounds, vague answers, and downright disingenuous conversation. EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I made an appointment to view a car, drove two hours (back and forth) to look at it, and the salesperson wasn't even at the location, just an "internet salesperson." Why bother to make an appointment to look at a car? What a waste of my time. When I asked the front receptionist why the car wasn't ready or salesperson available, her response was "well some people show up and some don't." If they treat potential customers this poorly, I can just imagine how they treat their existing customers who aren't looking at spending thousands of dollars.

I have been a customer of Ewald in Oconomowoc for many years and have had interactions with various departments. Ewald KIA in Oconomowoc did a great job this past weekend in helping me get into a brand new KIA Optima! The overall car buying experience was very pleasant thanks to the people working there, and I left a very happy customer. My salesperson, Shannon Karrow, was extremely helpful and tentative to my needs and wants. Going as far as having the car I wanted brought in from out of town, available for me to test drive when I arrived! She even helped me connect my phone and showed me how to use all the features the car had. The KIA facility is very clean and nice looking and also has an area for children to play or watch TV, which is great for entertaining my child while visiting the store. I have had different services done though the Service Department there and they are always fast and accommodating with repairs, oil changes and tire rotations. The rest of the Ewald KIA employees are always very nice, and the Finance Manager made the process quick and painless. I would recommend Ewald KIA and Shannan Karrow to anyone looking for a new car and enjoyable experience.

When I called ahead I spoke with Rich and he said "Capitol One is on of the biggest financial institutes we work with" when I got their they proceeded to tell me lies and story.First I was passed off to Brian and he said "well there is 2 different Capitol ones, one internal and one external. We only work with the auto finance Capitol one not the credit card" after I corrected him he told me hold on so he can call Capitol one.Then the manager came out to tell me that they need to contact the owner of the company to see if he wants to do the deal because it's "tricky" with Capitol One but he will call me first thing tomorrow morning!The next day I called them 5 times each time to say I will get a call back and nobody called me back at all. I never been to a place so ok with not making a sale. I highly recommend going elsewhere.

On a very limited for time schedule, we visited this dealership with a specific car in mind and really only 1 requirement. The salesperson was new and was honest about that right away, but I wish that when we were honest about our time limitations that he would have considered that and maybe asked someone more experienced to help him. He showed us multiple cars that did not meet the criteria which was frustrating. It did not seem like the dealership would work with us on adding a small feature to a vehicle in order to close the deal. I was very disappointed with the lack of feeling valued, lack of interest to gain our business, and not being shown what I needed. The salesperson was very nice and with more experience, he probably will do fine. But for a person with an infant and who works out of town so has very little time to shop locally, it was frustrating to take up so much time on cars that would not work for me.

I went to Ewald to test drive Optima's due to their reviews in Consumer Reports. I Shannon showed me a good used 2013 (as I thought I could only afford a used vehicle), and we went for a test drive. During the drive, we discussed what I needed and wanted from a vehicle. My main focus was warranty, as I put a lot of miles on vehicles quickly. She suggested, without pressure, that a new car might serve me better due to my specific situation. In the end, I bought a new at a fair price, with the excellent Kia warranty. I'm very satisfied with my experience and will recommend this dealership to friends and family.

having dealt with ewald for the fourth time i'm thinking we really like it here. we have tried the optima with all the bells and whistles and fell in love with it all. we have been able to get our regular oil changes and rotaions on time and the waiting period has always been the minimum. we highly recommend dealing here for the best buy for the best service' wheel and deal on the prices each salesman has his own idea of what the prices are but thats with any car dealer.

My first Ewald experience was in August, 2013, and I did not make a purchase but was treated with such respect that in January my son needed a replacement car my first call was to Doug in Oconomowoc. We found a few options that would work, one of which was at their Hartford location. It was one of the coldest days of the year and they drove it to Oconomowoc for us to look at. That afternoon we left the dealership with a great, affordable car for my college bound son. Fast forward to July and I am in need of replacing my car. (My son and I drove the same year, make, and model of car prior to January.) Doug put together a really attractive deal but I declined at the last minute. A week ago, I met with Doug about a few other options. I took delivery of my 2015 Kia Optima a few days ago. Doug made sure I had answers to every question I had and never pressured me to make a snap decision.

Overall, I rate the service, staff and management as excellent. John, in sales, was not pushy, knowledgeable as a new employee and prompt in getting to us with any answers he did not know. Management informed me of deals I could receive as a new graduate and directed me accordingly on how to get them. There were minor issues regarding services and scheduling but I put part of that blame on myself as well due to the short time frame I needed the services done. When the issues occured, the manager (Nick) accommodated and allowed me to have a loaner car free of charge to be able to go about my day which was greatly appreciated. Both gentleman are also very personable. Service was flexible with fitting my car in on their schedule when I needed it in short-notice as I live far away now. I love my car and will return to have services done at Ewald when in the area.

As a college graduate I knew I didn't have a lot of money to put forward, but everyone wants a car they will enjoy. The first man that I worked with was helpful at finding something in my budget but still giving me options, since I was very limited. When I went in with questions, I worked with a woman named Shannon. She was down right RUDE. At first, I assumed she wasn't taking me seriously doing this on my own, but she failed to give me straight answers for my questions or explain any of her answers. I called her a couple of times to get answers and she avoided me, until I finally left a voicemail for her saying I would stop in. She openly told me to take my car somewhere else to trade it in!! I also saw her notes saying how "I have a champagne taste with a beer budget and that I want a dream car with no budget." Who doesn't want a dream car? However, I know my limit for cost. I will NEVER go to this dealership solely because of her! Gladly went to a different dealership and they gave me options and understood my needs. Shannon should not be in this field if she doesn't want to explain herself or help others, especially for first time car buyers.

I felt like I got the price I was looking for but it seems that the dealership wanted to play a game with me. I talked to a salesman first and got insulted with the price for my trade in. I do not blame the salesman for that. When I said no twice, a second man came out and re insulted me with his offer. This person could have stayed in his office as he clearly thought I was joking when I rejected his "best" offer. As I walked out the door, a third person (manager) came out and agreed to my price. I was happy with the final deal but felt they didn't need to play these games.Once the price was agreed on, I had to wait at least one hour before I was able to finalize the transaction. This happened the last time I bought a car at an Ewald dealership. I feel this is excessive. They did wash the car and put gas in it, which was nice.

I recently bought a 2014 Kia Sportage from Ewald Kia of Oconomowoc. The team that helped me was fabulous. Shannon, who sold me the vehicle was very knowledgeable and really helped me find the car that best suited my needs. The managers Tom and Chris were also great. They made the process go quickly and smooth. I defiantly recommend if shopping for a Kia, you visit Ewald. They are professional and give you their full attention to find the right vehicle for you.

I had taken my Spectra into Ewald for service for the past several months and was always happy with the results.My 2005 Kia Spectra EX was going strong and about to cross 253,000 miles when it was totaled in an accident three weeks ago. I wound up in a rented 2013 Kia Soul+ to get around before a making a long work trip the following week... While out of town, Shannon and I talked/emailed off and on about car options trying to come up with a plan of "attack" The day after I returned from my trip, my wife and I met with Shannon and spent most of the day with her at Ewald Kia, test driving a number of vehicles. Shannon had keys and cars ready for us at the mere mention of a model name :-) By the end of the afternoon, she had found a Forte and a Soul that would each make my wife and myself happy. With the two sets of keys in hand, Shannon and Dan worked magic with the numbers so it was like we were getting two cars for the price of one! At the end of the night, we were happily driving our new wheels home! The Ewald Kia staff is awesome.

Three different managers and a salesman were involved with deal. They always came to talk to us by themselves. Manager 2 (Phil) did not know what first manager 1 (Tom) offered. Made deal with manager 2, (who asked if I was Jewish, but none-the-less agreed to a deal). Manager 2, promised to personally deliver the car and correct undisclosed issues with the car, (timing belt was original on 132,000 mile car, breaks needed repair, window didn't work) and he went home, left contract details to salesman who returned with contract with correct price but no mention of items that needed repair, corrected contract, contract signed by manager #1 (Tom), deposit of $500 made on car. Two days later, approximately 2 hours prior to the delivery, salesman calls to tell us that the repairs to the car were not going to be made. Went to dealership to get an explanation, manager 3 came to talk to us even though manager 1 was in his office. Claimed that manager 2 was not their and was not going to be in. We requested that manager 1 come to talk to us since he signed the contract. He couldn't since he was "In a meeting". Manager 2 suddenly appeared (you know the one who was not their). Told us that the repair was too expensive and that they were not going to fix the fan belt. When I reminded him that the timing belt was the issue, not the fan belt ($50 vs. $500) he claimed confusion. He made other statements that I corrected him on which resulted in him stating that I was calling him a liar, told me that their was no way he would sell me the car and threw the deposit at me. Seems to get insulted mighty easily. Talked with owner ?Brian? Ewald, who apologized about 500 times, but I don't think he did anything about it. Believe that his "Sorry,sorry,sorry,sorry...sorry" really meant Sorry you called, but this is how we do business. The Service department won't leave you alone. Numerous attempts via email and phone and they still keep contacting me to come in for my scheduled appt. Hate to tell you (oh wait I have several times) I don't own the car anymore and you promised to remove me from your distribution list. I would never recommend buying a car here because the hassle is painful!!! Please just make it stop!!!

I was in the market for a new vehicle and although I had already picked out a used vehicle at another dealership, I went to Ewald to see what they might be able to offer. Both Lusa and Mike worked with me to understand my needs and were able to put me into a new vehicle at a more than competitive price. The deal was very fair, surpassed my expectations, and the new Sorento was exactly what I was looking for. They were both very personable and knowledgeable. There was no "high pressure". Instead they worked very hard to find me exactly what I wanted at a very good price. The whole experiance was enjoyable and both my wife and I are very pleased. I was coming through the area and a check engine light came on. I knew Ewald had Kia in the area so I came in with my 2007 Optima from Darrow (their service is horrible) No appointment they got me in, checked out the light . It cost me $50 to fix it so I had th eoil change done for $19.95- I was out of there in less than an hour. Fast, friendly, convenient-I will definitely come back for service and likely buy my next car their too- brand new facility!

At first, yes, I was impressed with the dealership and customer service. I was impressed so much, my fiance bought his dodge Ram from there and we sent his parents out there to buy a KIA Sorento. However, once I gave my initial review after I bought my car, the customer service disappeared. My phone calls and e mails are not returned. The one after market thing that I really wanted was my windows tinted. I was promised that and still, 2 months later my windows are not tinted. Also, my inlaws that bought the SUV have had the same experience. They had the xylon put on for the interior and exterior and it was done very poor. There were spots all over the place. They had to bring the vehicle all the way back out to Oconomowok to get it fixed. But did it really fix it?! It was such an inconvenience. My fiance bought his new Dodge Ram from Ewald of Franklin, and Same thing, once the review was submitted the customer service went out the window. I will never refer anyone else to any Ewald dealership! Also, I think that it is important for the customer service reviews be sent out at least a month after the purchase.

An excellent buying experience. Did my homework (online, quotes, checked holdbacks, money factors, trade values, etc), prior to going to Ewald Kia. Received a very fair price and the best price (invoice) on the new car, and received a great price for my trade, at least $900 higher than any other dealer. They even put the deal together on a location car (one they obtained from another dealer), additional cost for them. I have dealt with many different dealer's, they are one of the best.

Worst dealership I have ever dealt with. Josh(saleman) and Amy(internet sales) were great. Insulting trade in offer and price of vehicle overpriced with no negotiation offered at all. Would not recommend them at all. Horrible experience. Tried making me pay 12k for a vehicle that had a trade in value of $2200, has an oil leak, bad tie rods, bad idler arm. they offered me $2000.00 for my trade that has a retail value of $7250.00 which means they were trying to make about 9k off of me. I know times are tough but don't insult your customers by thinking they would be dumb enough to accept that. When i told them I wanted to pay cash they gave me this price with what it would cost per month. I am sure someone their will see this and won't care either and would be surprised if they actually so. FYI - they only got a two for customer service because of Josh and Amy and the fact that a gentleman gave my kids a cookie.

Sales person "Rob" was great. Gave us a good price and was fantastic about discussing the features\benefits of the car. We stated a lot that we wanted our own financing if they did not have a good financing deal. Terri the finance person screwed us royally and put us into a poor loan situation. We were able to secure our own financing and now the dealer will not work with us to rectify the situation. Very poor follow up service. We will not be using them again!!!!
