Ford of Northampton is the only place to go. The 2020 Ford Escape is the 6th vehicle my husband and I have procured through this dealership. 3 leases and 3 purchases. Our customer service rep/salesperson/friend is Linda W. She is the best!!!!! She always has our best interest at heart. She is extremely, kind, caring, patient and helpful. My family was looking all around for a F350 and found one at Northampton Ford. Jon H reached out after we had interest in one found on Autotrader. It was immaculate and very fairly priced compared to other dealers in the area. Jon was super courteous and professional throughout and made the deal as convenient and simple as it could have been. A car is a very expensive purchase. It takes weeks of research to decide which make and model to buy, I don't want just anyone servicing it. This is one of the very few dealers that have earned my trust. Great group of nice people. I have bought many vehicles and always cringe when I bring it in for service. Buy it from one place service it in another .Very hard to find a dealer who can be both. I was very Fortunate to find them. Could not be more impressed with there service department clean efficient and open saterday. A company is truly defined by its people. Please keep up the good work.

We bought a brand new 2015 Ford Fusion last year. This is now the 3rd time we will have to be bringing our car back due to a check engine light and turbulence during our commute. We have a 7month old baby girl that we have to bring along with us while they make us wait hours in the service waiting area the first time (mind you the bathrooms do not have a changing table) just for them to say the do not know what is wrong but they "changed a few filters". We called the service manager and left a message advising about our poor service and never received a call back! Second time our engine light came on we were lucky enough to get a rental vehicle. They kept our car for 4 days and advised it was all set to be picked up. We drove all the way there just for one of the issues to not be fixed and them to take the car back in. After having our car an entire week all seemed to be running well again. Now less than a month later the issue is still happening and our engine light is on again. This is a brand new vehicle bought with less than 11 miles on it. We should not be having this issue an treated so poorly when we bring our vehicle. I expected at the very least a phone call back from the service manager!

Clearly they don't care about how long cars sit on their lots or about the future business they lose by being unwilling to work with buyers.

Had them run diagnostic on my truck found 2 problems as they always do cost a ton to fix also the usual and said my truck was all set 150 miles later my check engine light reappears they will look at it tomorrow....I bet it's not something they did I bet they find 2 new problems like they usually do and I'm sure for a small fortune they will almost fix them 2 ...at least for a 150 miles

Dealership and technicians were very knowledgeable of the car. Gave me a car to use for the time it took to repair transmission. That is much more than I can say for the Ford Focus defective transmission which was replaced at 12,000 miles. I would be hard pressed to purchase another Ford product.

I had a warning message show up that said "engine power reduced" so I took it to Northampton Ford as a precautionary measure. I know nothing about cars and apparently all it needed was more coolant. They called me after the "repair" was complete and charged me $130 to put more coolant in my car. This included an hour of labor they supposedly spent testing to make sure it did not need any further work. I am a 22 year old female, new to the area and am very disappointed they took advantage of my lack of car knowledge..

I went to Northamptn Ford on 9/15/15 to have a tune up done and I had asked them to check my brakes to see if it was time for new pads. At the completion of my service they give me a report saying my brakes were fine. My boyfriends brings my car back to them today, 10/31/15 to have my brakes done and they are now saying that I need new calipers and new rotors. When my boyfriend called me to tell me this, I went and found the report and told him that 6 weeks ago Northampton Ford told me my brakes where fine. When my boyfriend asked them how my brakes where fine 6 weeks ago but now I need new rotors and calipers, they said there was nothing in the report that said I asked them to check my brakes or that they did check my brakes. I was appalled to hear this as I stood in my living room holding the report that stated my brakes where fine. Long story short, don't trust Northampton Ford!

I have only been here twice and both times have left and had other issues with my car that did not exist BEFORE going here. I only had "The Works" this time, but after having tires rotated (part of this "deal"), I had the worst sound coming from tires!! The back tires were not put on flush and the front tires were tightened too much, none of tires were cleaned of salt and dirt when they were off! This is service??? Terrible service if you ask me, and I will not ever go back to Northampton Ford! I am very disappointed because I was hoping to find a place to trust, apparently I was wrong!

I had my '09 Flex serviced and repaired at FON for the past three years. After an accident I had sent my car ther eto be repaired, they outsoured the body work to another Sarat Family Business in Chiocpee. The repiars took over three months to complete and I had to go back three additonal times for them to get it right. That said I still stayed loyal to the dealership in part to assure the warranty would be honored. So when I noticed problems with the transmission I brought my car in for review four separate times in 6 months to have it checked. Even though the slippage and hard shifting were obvious to a laymen like myself the service department insisted "the transmission technician reviewed it and coudl not find anything". I finally brought the car in one more time and insisteid this technician ride in the car with me, within two minutes of driving the car he said the transmission needs to be replaced and will not lasst much longer. This is when George, the service manager, informed me that my warranty had run out the week before and the repar will likely costs $4,300. However to know for sure I need to commit $750 just for them to open teh transmission and diagnose it thoroughly, at which time it would be disassembled in theri shop and I woudl really have no recourse but to have it repaired there at full costs. The frustration is I had the car there three weeks earlier for the same problem, only difference is I didn't have the "tech" drive the car with me. FON made no effort to do right on the price or accept any accountabilty for their poor diagnosis. I have since ordered a tranny online and had a local shop put it is for less thna $2,000.

Compared to other dealers, Northampton Ford respected my time, my budget and I got a fair deal.A different dealer across the river from Northampton, by comparison, kept me in their showroom for three hours, trying to wear me down, before I got up and left.The sales team at Northampton Ford treated me fairly and listened to what I had to say and what I wanted. I purchased a 2103 Ford F250 truck on August, 16, 2013. On 3/16/15 Ford of Northampton replaced the left driver's side mirror due to mirrors sticking and not in synch. Very satisfied with the workmanship and replacement. Then on 6/23/15 the right side mirror was replaced for the same reason. The Service Department was very helpful and courteous during this process. That is why I gave this dealership a five star rating.

My experience purchasing my 2013 Focus Hatchback was fine; I dealt with a nice salesman who is no longer there. However, when I have talked to other salespeople there with general questions about models of Fords, I have gotten answers which were very characteristic of the stereotypical slick car salesman. One of them told me I couldn't trust Consumer Reports magazine, the most impartial resource in existence for consumers. I find the people in the service department unfriendly; I don't feel like a valued customer, even though I have been going there for decades and have purchased 5 cars there and referred a buyer to them. They are also not technologically savvy or helpful. I go to this dealership, because it is convenient; that's all. And they're not terrible. I do like that they have occasionally given me a ride home when they needed to keep my car longer than I had anticipated.

I am thrilled with my new car, and I think I got a fair price on the car and the trade-in. I just have two minor complaints. When I showed up to close the deal and pick up the car, there was a pretty big scrape on the passenger-side door handle. When I pointed it out to my sales rep, he had it fixed right away, but it should have been noticed and fixed without me having to point it out. Also, the closing sales pitch about the five different available extended-warranty packages stole 30 minutes of my life that I'll never get back. I really didn't need to hear a list of every single type of spill that the cloth protection package will repel. Overall my experience was good. If you paid a bit more attention to detail on delivery, and less to the warranty sales pitches, it would have been truly exceptional.

Bryan was prompt with scheduling me for service and gave me up-to-the-minute information about what service my vehicle needed and what the costs of the repairs would be. I had to bring my truck in twice to have this issue resolved. Apparently there is a service bulletin specific to this issue. The first time they "lubed" the UJoint and claimed it was "fixed"- which is the first protocol. Right from the time I picked the vehicle up at the dealership, the issue was not resolved but all the service techs were gone (Friday end of the day). I called the next morning to schedule an appt for the following Friday and promptly brought it back with some paperwork backing up the research I had done to help them pinpoint the issue. This time the problem was fixed. It always seems the service desk personnel are really put-out by their jobs to listen to the customer.....not all of us are morons!

Leaving work one day the engine light on my Ford Freestyle, 2005, came on and the engine went in to "failsafe mode" My mechanic said it had to go into a dealership. The code read throttlebody control and flash something (I don't remember). Originally, George said the throttlebody had to be replaced and it would be about $1100.00 total. I had pulled an NHTSA service bulletin that seemed to detail my exact problem, noting that the warranty had been extended on this part to 150,000 miles. My car had about 135,000 miles. Initially Ford had said the part or model number did not match the ones involved in the NHTSA bulletin. The bulletin stated that around 2011 or 2012, the problem was identified and the dealers were instructed to clean the throttlebody control, and that this solved the problem for a while, but it did come back. Around 2011 or 2012, we had this problem and this service performed at another Ford dealership, so it seemed as though this was the exact problem noted in the service bulletin. George and Brian called Ford, explained the problem, and Ford extended coverage. This Freestyle has had more problems than I would typically expect of a car that cost what it did, but Brian and George at Northampton Ford went above and beyond to advocate for me and my family, save us a ton of money, and make me feel comfortable that I have honest, reliable and helpful people working at my local Ford dealership. NHTSA action number PE11018. Thanks.

Other than being a tad pricey, the service was excellent. I do take exception to having to wait in front of someone who did not acknowledge my existence while shuffling papers and answering the phone. Rude. Others in the service department were very helpful and friendly.

From the first moment we stepped into Ford of Northampton we felt at home. Bill, Joe and Lynda were exceptional and answered all our questions. I test drove the Escape and then the Fusion. We decided on the Escape in Sunset Metallic. Went inside to get a price quoteon a 3 year lease. When we went to pick it up again it was just like we knew everyone. Spent the day finalizing the deal. We live on Long Island in New York but my daughter is attending college at University of Massachusetts Amherst. When she had an issue with her car while at school I contacted Northampton Ford and was fortunate to have George Susy us. George was able to have her car repaired with hours of my call to him. Being almost 300 miles away from my daughter when she needed my help caused me so much worry but George put my mind at ease knowing my daughter's car was in good hands. . The dealership did the nicest thing for me. I had a fender bender in Dec. in my new 2013 Focus. After having the body shop make necessary repairs, I waited a month for the paint to set on the replacement parts and then made an appointment for my first service appt. and to have Glass Coat applied to the replacement parts. When I received the back it had been completely detailed inside and out for no additional charge. It looked just like new. I asked if this was standard policy and they said not not really. I was very touched because I think they knew how badly I felt about the accident and wanted me to have my brand new car back. Anyway I thought that was so kind. I was impressed.

I'm fairly new to this dealer, having just bought a new car last July. This was a regular, scheduled service visit. The service was excellent, staff friendly and helpful and fairly priced. This place is so much better than my former dealer (subaru/volvo) that I can't believe it. The one thing they could do is spruce up the waiting area a little and make it a little more comfortable.

We arrived early...had to come in right after the "jump" service from AAA. No problem; our car was taken in very quickly. We had an easy process of using our Owner Advantage points. There's a rebate for new batteries going on now and we got the form!! The technician took a few minutes to explain the bad state of the battery...not just "dead" or not holding the charge. It was cracked...leaking battery acid...could have exploded!! (It's not great to hear that, but it was good that he explained what had happened!!)

Doing great. I see the Ford is experiencing a good year on the stock market. Please pass this on to your customers. Seems as good companies show great profit they then raise prices and that ruins it for everyone. I'm sure it's tough...but it is better to keep prices low and grab more loyal customers than raise prices...and loosing your customer base. Keeping your prices down forces other car companies to have their own problems. It would be as great sales technique (advertisement) to bring this info to the public...and to prove it with some obvious comparable costs that the competition is forced to adjust to.

I have purchased 3 vehicles here and the service department was always great. Any problems they found, were always brought to my attention with plenty of advise on what needed to be done and what could be done later. If a ride was needed home while a vehicle was in service, a shuttle was always available, but for the short waits, a clean comfortable waiting area was nearby.

I recently had an oil change, I have always done business with Ford of Northampton and Northampton Ford before that. I never have the feeling that the dealership cares if I have my service done there or somewhere else. Over the summer, we had to have work done on a vehicle at Hyannis Ford (which is a Balise dealership), I felt like they were more concerned with what I thought and/or felt than my "regular" dealership. I have sat and waited in the waiting area and not one person came and spoke to me, offered my coffee or even a current newspaper. If this dealership doesn't care, then maybe it is time I have service done elsewhere and maybe even sales elsewhere.

Service itself is good; Ford of Northampton is used to my coming in now and provides a loaner or gives me a ride. My Ford C-Max, purchased in Feb. '13, has been in the shop 6 times already: 1 for a loose wire the week I bought it, 3 for failing to start (towing required), & 2 for recalls (one a "customer satisfaction" modification). Despite good service and liking the car, I'll get rid of it if it continues to require work. It hasn't gone 5000 miles yet.

My only issue was that I was not provided with invoice and receipt for credit card payment. I was told I would find everything, along with my registration, in the car but that was not the case. The registration was there but nothing else. Since I had to rush back to get to my class, I left and called back the next day and had to arrange to have it mailed to my home address.

We were given very accurate estimates on both $$ and time requirements. As one of the procedures was quite lengthy, an offer was made to reschedule for a different date. Both estimates were slightly high, so this felt like a real "win". My only suggestions are regarding the waiting room - there should be plastic glasses for water and a better "set-up" for coffee. The made-by-the-pot situation had mostly stale coffee. I'd also prefer fresh creamer (the individual ones are readily available in bulk). When service takes 2+ hours, these "little" things would be greatly appreciated.

Stranded with a crack in the rear axle of my 2000 Windstar with my daughter and grandchildren, I really appreciated Ford of Northampton! We had not been notified of a recall. They found two other recalls we had not been notified of and repaired them also. They did all the paper work and cleared a mechanic to work on the car the very next day. Communication was excellent! During the times I was around the service desk, I thought the communication with other customers, both there and on the phone was extremely professional. Everyone seemed very sympathetic to my plight! We will be looking for a new car soon and if I was in the area I would be looking at Ford of Northampton because of the service department. I cannot thank them enough for their courtesy to me and the speed of the repair!

My experience with the purchase of my new Focus was really good. Kevin and Linda were great. they helped me work out the financial issues so that this would work for me. I actually didn't expect to buy a car until January but the deals were so good I couldn't resist. I had already made the decision that my next car was going to be a Ford product because I admired them for not taking bale out money. So it was a matter of which model and when. As a salesman, Kevin represents Ford extremely well. He is knowledgable, seems to really like the product he is selling and seems to care about his customers. Can you ask for more than that?

I went to Ford of Northampton just to see about prices and types of cars for a future buy. They were amazingly helpful and the dealers can't do enough for you! They were more then happy to help and answer all questions. They even stayed late to ensure the paperwork was done so I could have the car the next day! They helped set up SYNC and even called a few days later to ensure I didn't have any questions. They were great! If you are looking for a car I would suggest you stop here first because they do whatever it takes to make sure you can have the car you want!

My regular 3,000 mile oil change was done and also the "Works" check up was performed. I was impressed with the Vehicle Report Card which came with my invoice. The Tech even measured my tire depth!! I have very low mileage on my 2004 Ranger and feel confident my truck will last many more years with the help of George and his techs in the service department. Thanks

We had a very pleasant experience at Northampton Ford. Our sales person, Derek Larivierre, was very helpful. He answered all of our questions with patience and understanding of our needs. He worked with us to come up with a fair trade in value for our old car that made the deal work for us. All the other staff were very friendly and helpful when Derek was not available. The whole process was very smooth and went much faster than we thought possible. A big factor was the availability of a car (C-Max) that we wanted and the ability of the dealer to have it for us right away along with taking care of all the required paperwork. We will be long term customers and will recommend them to our friends.

Bill Richards and our salesman Timothy Walz made it possible for my wife (Jackie) to have a very happy Mother's Day. Mr. Richards gave us a very fair trade for our 2006 Explorer and got us an affordable lease payment thru the exeplary efforts of Business Manager Bill Lundy. We have had some tough economic times in our family over the last couple years and were afraid of what kind of payment tier that we would get stuck with. Mr. Richards and Mr. Lundy were able to arrange Tier 1 Credit for us . The salesman Tim got the vehicle she desired a 2013 Escape in the color she loves and with all the features she wanted - he treated her like a Queen !!!. We are very happy with the vehicle which has been greatly admired by Jackie's coworkers and our family. We have heartily endorsed this dealership to our friends, family and aquaintances. When we were introduced to the Service Manager George Liptak, I recognized him from another dealership that he worked for that we had patronized and were pleased to see him and we compliment this dealership for having the good sense to make him their Service Manager. Lastly Mr. Richards was the most impressive General Manager that I have ever met. He was extremely knowlegible and took away our anxities of a new car aquisition. He even made us a pot of fresh coffee - I never saw any other General Manager do that - oh I forgot to mention that I once sold cars for 2 dealerships. Mr Richards even gave us a follow up satisfation call - when he got me on the phone he spoke to me briefly and then said that he really needed to talk to Jackie as" she is the #1 important person in this deal"!!! When I told her what Bill had said she was even happier and said " I am not getting a car ever from anyone else - only from Bill". I then got the phone back and Bill and I both said together the Dr. Phil line - " If Mamma Ain't happy than no one else is happy" Jackie overheard us and giggled - "You guys should remember that"!!!! i have purchased my seventh ford vehicle from northampton ford although they have changed ownership there are still several people in both sales and service i am familiar with. I have (my wife got a new car)purchased a new Focus ST and they sales staff we dealt with were great. There was one grumpy gus at the south end of the sales line closest to the coffee pot. Not a people person sales may not be his calling he judged me by my dress and was rude and dismissive. The finance manager was cherrdul and informative we got decent financing thru his resources and use one of there banks. I forgot to ask about gap insurance at time of purcase and it was not offered to me. when i realized my mistake i asked the next day about it and after a ver lenghty discussion with my salesman the finance representitive told me he didnt offer it because i wasnt upside down in my loan. I will inquire further but with a first year depreciation of $9,000 i, relativly sure i should have been offered and purchased the coverage. On the service side of the house - My son has a 6.4L Diesel super duty that he loves dearly. At a recent dervice visit some intervl timers were not reset by the service staff. Subsequently his service engine light has come on. when he returned to the dealership a service representitve told him he was mistaken and sent him away the vehicle now requires a 3rd trip to the dealer for this oil change associated services. They have been great otherwise and i will continue to do buisness with the and have my 4 personal use ford vehicles serviced there.

We love being able to drive in to the service area (no exposure to the outdoors when our New England grounds are still covered in snow and March is definitely raging like a LION with the wind!!). I don't think that we've ever gotten a sticker so quickly.

after my purse was stolen from my job, they got the keys to my ford escape as well as other important keys, your service department (George) had a tech reset the tumblers on the escape so even if they got into the vechile the key would not start the truck. Thanks for all your service department did for making it easy to resolve the other issues that had to be taken care because of the thief of my purse.

My wife and I were looking for a new hatchback, so we called several dealerships in the western half of the state until we found someone willing to give us the best price on a Focus. Northampton Ford quickly matched it, and drove a Focus down from their other dealership since they didn't have one on lot for us to test. Derek was never pushy at all, and let us get a great feel for the car. While we waited for our trade-in to be evaluated, he didn't push anything and was happy to chat about all things non-car related - a huge relief over the usual sales pitch. His manager overheard us talking about my job, and let me know that we could get even more off based on a partnership with my employer (even though we were well below invoice after the year-end incentives and base price match). We told them we had three more cars to test drive, and they gave us a few nights to sleep on the deal and couldn't have been nicer, more low-pressure, or more unlike the other dealerships (where the salesman starts, then the closer comes in and goes high pressure).

My current car is a 12 year old Toyota Solara. I'm looking at several different types of cars before I settle on something. I test drove a Fusion and an escape and Mr Lundy was pretty reasonable. All he does is give me the keys and wait for me to bring the car back, which is good to drive the car without a salesman. Today I wanted to try the Focus hatchback since I always drove hatchbacks before I bought my Solara. I called ahead so Mr Lundy would be there. Once inside I was directed to his desk where hew as sitting, staring at the computer screen and quickly hitting numbers on his desk phone. I stood and waited. He continued to look at the computer screen and quickly hit more numbers on his phone. Still no "hello" or even a glance. Another salesman walked by me twice and excused himself each time. I'm still standing and waiting. Finally Mr Lundy looks up at me and asks if I'm "actually buying something" or keeping my car another year. He doesn't invite me to sit down, doesn't have the car ready even though I called ahead. I told him I wanted to drive the Focus since I always had hatchbacks and I'm "not here for fun". Mr Lundy then told me to not be so defensive. I told him there's lots of others dealerships around and I walked out.Simply a rude and unprofessional salesman who wants to make a quick buck. I get better treatment at Burger King!!! Try Marcotte Ford in Holyoke... they are very, very nice and very professional.

This was a terrible experience. We attempted to explain what we needed and the salesperson just was no help to assist us. We left once and they immediately called us to come back, when we did they were still unable to accommodate us. They called us again once we got home and said they "think" they have a deal for us. By this time I was frustrated and feeling defeated. Luckily we got in touch with Steve Lewis Subaru who made everything perfect for us. Northampton Ford called us the next morning and told my husband that they "saw" us at Steve Lewis Subaru and attempted to coax us to come back into to the dealership and they would find something in our budget. We declined and are very happy with our choice. We should have started across the street at Steve Lewis Subaru now we know.
