Overall very happy with our car buying experience. Had no intention of buying a vehicle that day. Went to pick my wife up who dropped her vehicle off for service. Started speaking with Dan Shaughnessy and next thing we know we are looking at new vehicles and driving home in one. Happy with our purchase - a 2017 Tuscon - and the experience. Past car buying experiences seem to turn in to over half the day - with this one it took less than 2 hours from start to finish.

I took my 2014 Hyundai Elantra in for an oil change and was looking at the 2017's while mine was being worked on. Was approached by Dan and started conversation around my car, the miles that I had on it already (75K+ highway miles), and how I liked the car. He asked about trading in for a 2017 and my immediate reaction was "no, I just came in for an oil change". Long story short, they offered a deal I couldn't refuse, especially with the LIFETIME warranty on the 2017's and the fact that my 2014 was nearing it's warranty period. Another GREAT experience at Green Hyundai with Mike Quimby and team. Thank you !

I have been a Green Hyundai customer for years. This is the only make of car I will buy. I have had a Santa Fe and Sonatas and love them both. Doug Bishop has handled all my sales and goes above and beyond to help throughout the process. Chris in financing is excellent to deal with and clearly explains what you are signing. I have recommended Green Hyundai several times over the years. The only issue I have with Hyundai is with the military discount. My DD214 has my maiden name but all the documents to and ID has my married name. It is a simple matter of checking the social security number on the documents to verify I am the veteran. I have to jump through hoops every time (finally figured a way this time) but Hyundai makes it too difficult. Last time they told me they needed my marriage license. That was 26 years ago! Check the SSN. Your can also have used my military ID. I'm a 100% permanent & total disabled veteran. This could have worked too. This is the only issue I have with Hyundai. Other than that, the service st a ft will soon know me in my new Santa Fe!

I hadn't come in to the dealership with a new car in mind, but one of the partners responded to my comment about my current car's road noise to say the new 2017 models had improved on that. From that point, my salesperson tirelessly showed me many cars and many more improved features that ultimately sold me.

Three years later, when I was looking for a car, I came back because he continued to offer a quality product at a fair price and always made sure the service after the sale met or exceeded my expectations.

I wanted this specific vehicle which dealer did not have on the lot, but they were able to locate one for me which had everything I wanted and at a good trade. Also, I went back twice after delivery to get help with some of the electronics. Got all of my questions answered and problems solved.

I was very impressed with Cameron who assisted me with information regarding the Sonata. He was knowledgeable and very professional. He was patient with me realizing I was not a tech savvy old gal as I let him know right away. He was open and honest with me and didn't go back and forth a bunch of times as most car salesman have done with me at other dealerships. Jaran McClellan was extremely thorough and professional during our buying experience. We drove 3 different vehicles before settling on the Elantra. He always communicated that he was there to make sure we were happy and got what we wanted. We were and are amazed with it. It is just what we were looking for even though we didn't know it. Came to dealer on 7/1/2016, Got in , at 6:50.am, I had an Oil change and Rotate tires. I was done after, 8:00 am. I had a 7:00am appt. Mr. MaCluskey , a friend, came at 7:15 am., had the same service, his SUV was done when they called me. I feel , I was , purposely delayed by this department, so I would be delayed longer. The Oil Change sticker was mis marked, as I put syn.5-20 in the car. The car was washed, I believe , this is a negative way to treat customers, we are on our second new car that we bought at the dealership.

We recently purchased a 2017 Hyundai Elantra for our graduating granddaughter, Samantha. The deal went through quickly, and without a hitch. Derrick French was our salesman and he was friendly, courteous, and well versed in what he was doing. He explained and answered questions about the car, to our satisfaction. He delivered the car one day prior to the graduation, and brought bows to put on the car. The car was cleaned and had a full tank of gas. Our granddaughter was thrilled! One day after the sale Derrick met with Samantha, and explained all the features of her car. He also walked her through the facility and introduced her to key staff that she would be dealing with in keeping the maintenance up on her car. We were pleased with how everything went down. If the good Lord wills, we will be doing this again in 4 years, for our youngest granddaughter Ciara.

At Hyundai its like dealing with family, they make you feel welcome, answer questions, explain things so you can understand them, make sure that everything is taken care of if you brought your car in for service and explain everything that was done to it. If they find something that needs replace like an air filter etc. they come into the waiting room and explain it to you so there are no surprises. Its the little things too, like Tv's, news papers, soda, coffee or hot chocolate and cookies and an area with tv and popcorn for the children. They care about their customers - that says a lot.

Took the family SUV shopping all day throughout Springfield.....the wife and a very active 16 month old boy. We went to Green Hyundai Certified at the end of the day ready to call it a day but we promised we would show up as part of our trip from Jacksonville. Worked with Internet Sales Manager Cameron McClellan. He was excellent and did not push us to buy like salesmen traditionally do. Cameron patiently showed us a plethora of SUV choices and we found a sharp certified pre-owned 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport with the Popular Equipment and Leather Premium Equipment packages. He also worked to get us top dollar for our trade at thousands better than any Springfield dealer could. We had our loan arranged with my credit union prior to the visit. But they willingly negotiated with us on our trade and vehicle sale price; we struck a deal quickly. Total time from walking in to see Cameron and buying our first ever Hyundai was just over 2 hours with touring the lot and finding our perfect Hyundai that literally just arrived and received detailing the same day. We initially did not expect anything prior to the visit but Cameron certainly showed us a great dealership that values people instead of treating them as just another number to meet a quota. I've always owned American brands and never thought I'd see myself in a Hyundai. I underestimated the features loaded onto these vehicles. Very pleased with my Santa Fe Sport and I truly believe in how solid the Hyundai brand has become over the years. I would buy from this dealership and Cameron again. Thank you!

All the radio commercials are sickening. This place is nothing they make it sound like on the radio. Service is horrible and there is no management team at all ! They will tell you whatever you want to hear to sell a car but after that you can't find anyone who wants or knows how to deal with issues. Buyers beware !

I love our car we purchased 9/17 but after the xxxxxxxx that happened yesterday we will not be getting another car from here. Originally purchased a car in May 2014 at the tent event & went in on 9/16 to see what our options were for something bigger. Our salesman was great & seemed to listen to what we wanted. We told him that we did not want our credit pulled from multiple banks & were very specific on if a particular lender couldn't approve us that we would wait. We were assured that was no problem! We took an SUV home for the evening, returned the following morning & decided on a different vehicle. Better gas mileage, lower miles & all the features we wanted. We were told we were financed through the lender we asked for & walked out with our new car. GREAT. 11 days later I see that our trade in hasn't been paid & we are being charged a late fee. My husband calls the bank & they had no record of a pay off & no record of a new loan for our car. We call our salesman & he places a call to the finance dept & then calls us back. All is fine according to him. Two hours later we receive a call from financing & are told to come back in & my husband needed to resign our loan but it was under the same terms as we previously had but I could not be on the loan. Fine. Until I log in to my credit monitoring & see 11 hard inquires from yesterday for myself & also my husband! NO ONE ever thought to call us & tell us there was a problem with financing? They just decided to pull our credit from every lender under the sun 11 days after we drove the car off the lot & insured it? The explanation I received when we went in was that on 9/18 the bank came back & said they could not use my husbands overtime even though it is mandatory & guaranteed. Well no one called us on 9/18 to have us come in to either give the car back or even ask us what WE wanted to do about the situation. I was told they were just doing their job, trying to get us the best deal! No your job is to communicate with your customers if it's "not about cars it's about people." So thank you for the 11 unnecessary inquires on both of our credits. At least you made a sale.

Our salesperson at Green Hyundai went over and above to get us in the vehicle we wanted. We purchased a smaller vehicle than we had had before- at our request. We were ready to "downsize" a bit. The vehicle itself was fine - no problems - but after driving it for a few weeks, we realized it was just too small for us. We assumed we couldn't do anything about it - it was 3 weeks old! We called our salesperson, and within 2 days we left with the larger vehicle and a very good deal. We couldn't be more pleased with our experience.

I came in because my tire wasn't holding air. I already had it taken off the car and the spare put on when I brought it in. I've been sitting here for 2 hours for just a tire. I ask how long they said 10 minutes took another 30 minutes. 12 cars came thru since I've been here. People come and go since I've been here and I had an APPOINTMENT for a tire. Takes 2 hours. I purchased 2 new 2015 Sonatas from Cameron McClellan, I went online the first time to check them out and to see if they had the car I wanted. I went to truecar.com to see what they said was the lowest price. Well to make a long story short Cameron called me within 15 minutes of me being online and invited me to come in and take a test drive. I decided to go but was planning on buying from the dealer who sold me my last Sonata (2014) the next. I arrived about 1 1/2 hrs. later the car we had discussed was waiting there for me to test drive. He handed me the keys said take it for a ride and we will check out your car while your gone. I drove it, it was what I wanted they gave me exactly what I wanted for my car and beat truecar.com's price a bunch. I drove My new 2015 Sonata Sport for 30 days and hit a very large buck on Interstate 24 in Southern, Il. Shady, shady, shady. My husband and I purchased a used 2008 Subaru in 2009. At the time of the sale, we were told the extended 6 year/75k mile warranty started at the time of purchase. When my car needed repairs in May 2014, we were told the warranty had expired since the car had 80k miles on it. We were quoted a repair bill of $2200. I was uncomfortable with their estimate and took my car to another repair shop where they told me that parts Green claimed were broken, were in fact, perfectly fine. I had the repair sop fix my car for 1/5 the price Green quoted me. When I called to speak with Mike Quimby, who assured us at the date of purchase the warranty was for a used, not new car, we never received a call back. When I was finally able to speak to the assistant manager, Phil, my points were dismissed, I was lied to about the number of times he tried to contact us (he said he called and left multiple message with us and there is no record on our phones of any missed calls) and overall he was very condescending. When I wouldn't accept an offer to repair my car for only $1700, after being pressured to trade my car in and just buy a whole new one, I was more or less told "Too bad. So sad. Have a nice day" and there was nothing Green could do for me. I will never buy a car from Green again and they will never touch any car I own for service. Not even an oil change.

I came to green Hyundai from another person's recommendation after having a negative experience with Green Kia of Springfield. I had high expectations and knew exactly what I wanted when I arrived. I had been emailing back and forth with the internet sales department for a few days to even determine if I was eligible to trade in my current Hyundai that I had only purchased less than a year prior. The gentlemen at Green Hyundai worked will me and was able to put me into a car that I was not only more comfortable in, but one that I was certain I LOVED from the minute I stepped into it. The customer service was excellent. I felt very relaxed speaking to not only the salesmen, but to his manager and the business manager as well. After this experience I will only buy from Green Hyundai in the future!

A friend recommended my wife and I to buy a pre owned car from Green Hyundai on North Dirksen Parkway in Springfield, IL. Not even after 24 hours the car we bought was having problems. We were not able to get our previous car back. It's just hard to believe they sold a car to someone that was not detailed, wouldn't start after 24 hours, was missing floor mats and much more. We will not be going back!

With a service manager named Quimby advertising each hour on the hour how they used to treat people bad you would have thought that would have been the second warning. The first should have been when an ex of mine had engine problems a couple of years and was still under warranty had 20 miles on the warranty, put conductive jelly on the spark plugs and said everything was fixed. Needless to say when she drove back the next day the warranty was up by four miles. Recently while car shopping I found a car at a dealer without such a shady rep that only had 5yrs and 50,000 miles. When I went to their shop they tried rotating into every piece of trash car they had and when I asked if they could match the other major dealer they said "come back in three years.

You can feel that there is a difference with Green Hyundai as soon as you drive in. The men are friendly and extremely professional. Who ever did the hiring did a great job. I think employees are as good as the boss expects them to be and it was obvious that they enjoyed their job and wanted to please. Cameron is who answered the phone when I initially called to enquire about a 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe. We were interested in two of them that we had seen on the internet. He called me the next day and thanked us for our interest. That same day we went over to the dealership. This car was for our daughter. Cameron volunteered to let her take it for TWO days to Granite City (where she lives) and try it out!!! Originally that was all we were going to accomplish that day but when Cameron started showing us on paper what it would cost.....we were amazed!!! The entire transaction was quick and we know that it was a fantastic deal. Our daughter drove the car home after Cameron helped transfer car seats, install Bluetooth, etc. from her car to the new one. The warranty on Hyundai can't be surpassed. Who else would even think about 48 months of roadside assistance on a used car?

I had purchased a 2012 Ford Focus SEL two weeks from Green Hyundai (actually, it was at the former Dane's Discount) and let me tell you, I was amazed at how fast the customer service was. James Radunzel (sales consultant) and Jeremy Riggs (business manager) were really helpful and had my paperwork done in a timely fashion. Over a span of a couple of weeks, I searched local dealers online inventory for the "perfect" car. 3 dealerships...and 4 possibilities later, a releative recommended Green Hyundai on Dirksen. I walked in and was greeted with a friendly smile and handshake by Mike Quimby he guy from the commercial:) who introduced me to John Duval, and it was Uphill from there! John assisted me throughout my entire search and I fell in love with my used Hyundai Sonata instantly! I literally got EVERY ITEM from my wish list in my car. This was extraordinary because all of my prior searches left me paying more than my budget allowed me to for these features. I find that working with Colton Mccellan is a joy. He is always willing to help me out anyway he can. He is eager to please me in what ever my needs are as far as getting me a great deal. I will not concider going to any other dealership to buy myself a new car. Colton has always been friendly and just a great guy to work with. In fact I enjoy just being around all the sales people and all others whom work there. They act as if we are all great people. Thanks so much for the Green Hyundai dealership.

Colton was very very nice and he made sure we knew what we were getting. He knew absolutely everything there was to know about the sonata we bought. He even found a paint defect on the original car we were buying and immediately found us another car before we even knew what had happened. He is a great salesperson and a great person all around you could tell that he wanted you to be happy with the deal you made and he was willing to keep going back to the counter time after time. I love the car and I will by my next one from Colton too. Thank you for being that very rare, hard to find, all around good salesman.

I didnt have to haggle much. I shot them the price I was looking for. They agreed, we moved forward and the deal was done. Most of our negotiating was done over email. Signing the paperwork at the end was quick and easy. I would shop there again.

As some of you may know, when a used vehicle is purchased from a dealership a 30 day warranty is included in the sale in which any repairs performed by said dealership will be discounted 50%.I took advantage of the discount, or so I thought, I called one day prior to taking my vehicle for repair and got a quote for $180 full price, including all shop costs. Therefore, I would pay $90. My bill was $124.89 plus tax.Brandon Matson was my service advisor. The employees are the biggest LIARS I have ever dealt with in central Illinois.ALso, I had to wait over three hours for my repairs after making an appt. Take your business elsewhere!!!!!!

I found a car I liked on cars.com, 100 miles away from home. Josh Warren at Green Certified West responded to my request for information promptly, advising that I should come up to see the vehicle, and that if I didn't purchase a new car on my first trip, they'd buy me a tank of gas, which they'd not had to do for any customer yet. Well, Josh's guarantee was no joke - I bought a car. Everyone was nice and prompt, and I love the Santa Fe they found for me (not the one I found online - a better one). The bottom-line price was MORE than fair, and their financing was better than the loan for which I was preapproved. I drove back to the Lou happy and smiling! Without a doubt, this was the best car-buying experience I've ever had. I will definitely be a repeat customer. Thanks, everyone!

I shopped a lot of dealers in town (St. Louis) and had them competing against each other but eventually went with a dealer 2 hours from my house because he was no hassle and beat the 6 other dealers in my town by more than a $1,000 OTD. My friend has a 2011 Sonata Limited Turbo and he referred me to a dealer in town who said they would beat anyone. I have a voicemail of the salesmen telling me that if the offer I had from the dealership 2 hours away (Green) was real then it was an incredible deal and that I should hurry and go get it. It's kind of funny because the message is a couple minutes of him telling me what an incredible offer I'm getting at the competing dealership. After having SEVERAL dealerships tell me they COULD NOT match the deal I feel great with what I got at Green.

We drove all the way to the Green Hyundai dealer from Indianapolis,Indiana and IT WAS WORTH IT! I saw the car I was interested in and Cameron, from the Online sales Department was very helpful. We got a really good deal on a 2012 Hyundai Tucson. They offered a fair price on our trade-in and they even put gas on our tank for the way back. The only thing I wish I would have gotten was the cargo cover, but they didn't have available at the time:( However, if you are from out of town, please consider going there to look for the car you are waiting for; I'm sure you'd find it. After being refered to this dealership;we went,we talked,we saw,we drove,we bought.We never had a problem with the salesman or service. They went out of their way to take care of us. We get e.mails from them on specials. Jeremy checks in with us now and then. New VeraCruz,great SUV. Really like the unit. We would recommend this dealership to anyone and will be going back !!!! Great atmosphere.

The dealership had the good fortune to have the make, model, and vintage of what I was looking for. Salesman was courteous and I'm sure does well for the company. The car was very clean, well detailed. Only disappointment was the battery had been replaced (new battery is nice) with one that did not fit correctly. I noticed the hood was a little out of alignment but did not figure out that the battery was too tall until I got home. I did buy the car, paid a "Fair" price and so far the car has been trouble free.

I have purchased many vehicles in the past and I have never had an experience that even comes close to the horrific process that Green Hyundai (aka Green on Dirksen, Ltd) put me and my family through. I traded in a vehicle several months ago and purchased a used Ford Expedition from Jaran McClellan, the Internet Sales Manager. I found the Expedition in a listing on cars.com. The vehicle was everything my wife and I were looking for, so after speaking with Jaran on the phone, we began the 3 hour and 40 minute drive to Green Hyundai. Upon test drive and price negotiation, we agreed to trade our vehicle and purchase their vehicle. Up to this point, everything was going fine. They gave us a good price for our trade and came down on the price of the vehicle we wanted. The only things we didn't like is that the navigation disks were missing, there was only one key and the owner's manual was missing. Jaran agreed to get us all of those things ASAP. We then sit down with Jake Pembrook, the business manager. We do the paperwork, sign here, sign there, exchange keys and such. Good transaction goes bad from here. We leave that night happy that we have upgraded our family vehicle and that our hard work has allowed us to purchase such a nice SUV. Next business day, we pay off our trade as agreed and begin the process of waiting for the title to come so we can mail it to Jake. Meanwhile, it is an absolute nightmare getting Jaran to come through on his promises to get us the navigation disks. It is a couple of months and an attempt to give us an incorrectly (it didn't work) burned (is that even legal) navigation DVD later, before we finally get the correct navigation disks. Now the spare key did come, however with no keyless entry remote, and we did receive an owner's manual (that was not even for the year of our Expedition) that I was assured was the same as the model year as our Expedition. The other thing, which I let slide, was that the listing on cars.com the Expedition was advertised to be Blue Tooth ready. Well, it isn't. After questioning Jaran about this, he asked me if I had a copy of the listing. I didn't, and the listing had been pulled, so tough luck for me I guess. Anyway, back to the title... After a few weeks, the finance company mails us the "clear" title to our trade-in and we promptly mail it as instructed. We thought everything was good to go then. Until a while later I receive a call from Sarah Helker (sp?) and she told me that they were still waiting on the title. I then tell her that it was mailed to Jake, per his instructions and she needed to check with him. I thought that was the end of it again. Wrong! I get more calls from her and each time I supply her with the information. I thought everything was squared away with her and then one day after working all night, I get a phone call from an investigator with the Illinois Sec. of State Police saying I could be charged with a felony! WHAT?! I just wanted to buy a car and now you are saying I am withholding information that can make me a felon!??? What do I have to gain by not giving you the title?? Is it going to bring my old car back?? NO! I have nothing to gain by not giving you the title! I am at such a loss right now. Never did I think this was going to happen when I packed my family in our car to head over to Green Hyundai. Shame on you Green Hyundai!!

I had never bought a vehicle on my own (my dad always helped me), so I was very nervous when shopping for a small suv. I'm a 23 year old woman, so I was convinced that I would be taken advantage of by a car salesman. After a lot of research and asking everyone I knew, I found that most people recommended Green Hyundai. Boy were they right!Mike Quimby has daughters my age, and I knew he would take great care of me. He instantly reminded me of my own dad. Not only did I get a great deal on a used Hyundai Tucson, they gave me way more $$ for my trade in than it was worth! I have since bought a new car from another one of Todd Green's dealerships in Springfield, and it's easy to see why the Green Family is growing so quickly. They really know how to take care of the customer.I locked my keys in my car at a gas station, and I had no clue what to do. I called Green Hyundai, and they sent someone right over to help me get into my car. Looking back, I realize that I should have called a locksmith, but Green Hyundai stepped up to the plate and had me on my way in no time.I would recommend Mike Quimby and Jake Pembrook at Green Hyundai (or any of Todd Green's dealerships) to any of my friends who are not familiar with the car business (like me) because I know they won't take advantage of them. We never thought we'd be driving home our new car that very same day. Green Hyundai has amazing service. We felt very welcome their at the store in Springfield. They have lots of cars to choose from and were able to help us in our situation. We were Very Suprised to hear that they could help us get a car when we had Not so great credit cause of a recent bankruptcy. They even were able to get us a great low monthly payment. Good thing we ran across a quick form on the internet which we received a phone call that very same day for an appointment. Our overal experience was GREAT! They were Very polite and helpful with finding us a GREAT DEAL on a car that we never thought we would be driving home that very same day! With our poor credit and a bankruptcy. GREEN HYUNDAI was a life savor, on getting us something affordable. The internet group is great and was quick to return a call saying they could help us out. We had an awesome experience. I wish I could rate a 10 because they would surely deserve it for there great service. Thank You GREEN HYUNDAI You guys are great!!!!!!!

I am so thankful for Josh, my sales person. He spent a lot of time with me to show me different preowned cars, explained the credit process to me & was very knowledgable about every car he showed me. This was only the 2nd time I have financed a car & the 1st time my father went with me. I never once felt manipulated or pressured. I got a great price & a payment I can easily afford. I will recommend this dealership to all of my friends & family. Great people, great cars, great experience.

Free oil changes and car washes with friendly service is cery refreshing. Even willing to shop online for us to find right car and color. Visited Green to buy a used car. When we were walking in, the salesmen were walking out to smoke, one of them came back in to help us. We were inquiring about one of the vehicles we had seen on their website. He told us it was junk basically, and kept pushing the brand new Santa Fe, which was way out of our price range. I told him very specifically what we were looking for. I wanted an Equinox or something very similar, less than 50,000 miles and within our budget of 350 a month or less payment. We have a trade in worth about 2000 and its paid for. He told us that wouldnt be a problem, that he would get together a few SUV's for us to look at if we would come back the next day. He told us that no one in town could touch his financing, which made us feel very confident. My husband and I both left work early to go meet him and found that he had only one used SUV for us to look at. It was an Equinox, but it had 100,000 miles on it, which is more than what our car has. He was insistent on getting our information so he could pull our credit before we even had a car picked out. My husband asked if they had anything with less miles and he said the only ones they had were new ones, pushing the Santa Fe again. Needless to say we left, didnt give him any of our information, and will never step foot on that lot again. Stay as far away as you can, I will gladly take my business and my money somewhere else.

Sales guys here will tell you ANYTHING to get you into a car, even a downright lie. They convinced me to have one of my parents write a check for a deferred down payment - said that the check was "just a piece of paper" and that I could come back to the dealership anytime in 30 days and pay the down payment and get the check back - When I went to go do just that, I was told that the check had been automatically processed and would be drafted from his account. I absolutely WOULD NOT have bought the car that day if they had told me how this REALLY would be handled. I had the car inspected by my mechanic before I purchased it - dealership had inflated two tires to over 100PSI to hide the fact that one tire was completely shot and one tire had a slow leak. Dealership claims that they did not do it, but after having dealt with them for a few weeks now, I don't believe them. I'm sure that their service department did it. Asked for a second set of keys when I purchased the car, was told that there was none. Then noticed that the tag on the keys states "1 of 2," so I emailed them and asked them about that - they gave me a ridiculous run around story about how the former owner did not give them the second set of keys and they would attempt to contact her to get them. Since that time, I've been given THREE DIFFERENT stories about when and if the previous owner will get them the spare keys. Here's what happened: they lost the keys, don't want to admit it, and are giving me the runaround so that they don't have to pay for a new set. They just aren't honest - I came away from this deal feeling dirty - I'll NEVER, EVER deal with them again, and recommend others to stay away as well.
