Leased a new 2022 HR-V sight unseen due to shortages. The initial visit and deal making was better than expected. Problem is, I did not get a few of the deals in writing (heated seats and remote start). I was also led to believe the vehicle was in transit nearby. Unfortunately, delivery took 6 weeks as the vehicle was in fact not even in port yet when I signed. Upon delivery, the paperwork process was easy until I learned I was not getting the features discussed at the price stated at time of buying (Quoted about $500 - was told it would actually be $1,000 - I opted out). The car was not fully detailed on delivery and Greg did not spend any time with me going over the full features and use of the car. I was also told he would discuss the missed options with the sales manager the next day and I have not heard anything now 3 days later. I would not be inclined to recommend this dealer because of the shady behavior at the end of the deal. I feel more like they cared about a signature for a commission check once they had a deal then ensuring I was comfortable in a vehicle.

If I could put zero stars I would, I called nonstop for days to speak to finance and was never spoken too! When I finally got in contact with service he told me my car is needed to be left for the whole day to be looked at even when I said I have work and then I said is there anyway I could use a rental to which I was denied. I don’t know I made the worst decision buying my car out of that lot and I’ve been a customer for 2+ years now. Where is the professionalism when you need it.

I got my car serviced here and told them the brakes seem to be going bad. They told me my front brakes were good. 2 weeks later my brakes are shot, its metal on metal. How do you miss something like this? Unbelievably bad work or total incompetence here. Also, its very overpriced. Go to curtis ryan or anywhere else.

I had a issue with my car when my Roof started leaking from the A-Pillar area. Very common problem with Honda's (found by searching Accord Forums). I called Honda and they said take to the dealer and they will take it from there if its a Manufacturing issue. Plus i needed Oil Change and Tire Rotation and Alignment.I called to setup for an appointment and agreed to pay diagnosis fee of $120 which will be applied towards the repair in case Honda doesn't cover it.Dropped the vehicle off and Brian was taking care of my car plus got me the loaner.1pm got the call from Brian that Honda Rep agreed to cover Half the cost. Half of which was exactly the amount equivalent to Diagnosis fee. Trust me I was not surprised at all. After that GOTCHA started coming:1.) He told me i have a bad axle seal & that is very dangerous to the transmission and a safety issue... Made it feel like sky is going to fall if I didn't take care of it. Which i had no idea but it might be possible so i agreed..2.) He told me my front brakes were totally gone less then 2mm. I said ok how much to replace. Just replacing the pads and machining the rotors $250. Wow... Not surprised. I said Ok... Asked him to bring the price down as its too expensive for Just the pads. He told me, "I AM ALREADY DOING YOU A FAVOR BY HAVING HONDA PAY HALF THE COST OF WATER LEAK".... YEAH RIGHT.. By the way I agreed (stupid of me as it sounded convenient to get it done all at once)3.) He told me that my car immediately needed Power Steering Fluid Flush and Transmission Fluid Flush as both the fluids are very dirty and could cause damage etc. etc. I knew he was trying to make money as fast as he can because I did both things less then 10K miles ago and checked my self it was clean not DIRTY.They charged me so much for the alignment and changed front brakes But i still get vibration in steering wheel. Now that makes me wonder if they really did the ALIGNMENT or Not. But I am so FED-UP after this experience that Don't Want To Deal With Them Anymore.Well. I promised myself that i would not let that happen to myself any more. Not dealing with dishonest SALES PEOPLE e.g. service advisers at Honda of Watertown, CTWhile I was there i saw that almost all the service advisers were pitching their customers for p/s and transmission FLUID FLUSH which made me wonder AM I at the right place.Advice: Beware of whats going on with your car by taking a little time to look under the hood and shop around before taking it for Repairs.

The Internet manager is worthless and she refused to give me a quote online. So I went in person and let any salesperson wait on me. He was OK but fairly new and did not know his product knowledge. So then comes the out the door pricing. After arguing with the new car manager about the price I finally left disgusted. I ended up at another Honda dealer and saved over $2,200 on the same identical car. (base model Accord LX ) Buyers beware I recommend staying away from this place.

BOUGHT A CAR WAS OVERCHARGED AND NOT EVEN THE DETAILING WAS DECENT THE SALES MANAGER WAS YELLING AT ME, WHEN I RETURNED TO CLAIM A CHARGE THAT I HAD NO IDEA EXISTED. WAS GIVEN A PAPER STATING WHAT THE CHARGE WAS FOR "UNBELIEVABLE." THE SALES MANAGER JUST TOLD ME YOU SIGNED FOR IT. WISH I COULD PUT UP THE RECEIPT FOR THE CHARGE'S. WAITING TO SEE THE OUTCOME OF SATURDAYS VISIT TO THE DEALER BEFORE MAKING COMPLAINT TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND CONSUMER AFFAIRS. HOPE THEY FIX PROBLEM.

I purchased my certified used Honda CRV exactly one year ago. I thought I made the right choice, considering their warranty. In February 2015, we were in another town and it was snowing out. We got into my new vehicle and it wouldn't start, had to get a jump. I thought nothing of it. That spring I'm get out of work after working a 12.5 hour day and (it's not cold out) again my car doesn't start, had to get a jump. I call Honda, bring it in, I said it was the battery, they tell me there is a recall on the alternator and it's under warranty so they fix it. When my oil change is due I make an appt. I go in and wait almost 3 hours!!!!! Unacceptable when I made an appt in advance to avoid a long wait time. Then come August I go to start my car, AGAIN it won't start, at this point I'm so disappointed and upset cause I've been there on two separate occasions and they say it's not the battery. So I call take the car to get fixed, they tell me that the computer system needed to be updated. I get my car back. This was in September 2015.Now this past Tuesday,I get out of work, ran some quick errands with the intention to go to the gym. Something tells me to turn the car off and start it before I go in and guess what? My car wouldn't start. Since my gym doesn't have a speaker system I had to walk around to look for the owner of the vehicle that was parked beside me so I could ask them to move so I could have my fiance jump my car (which took a good 20 minutes and was embarrassing). I call the delearship and I give Matt the service manager an ear full. I'm so furious at this point cause he doesn't seem to get it that I have had to stop what I'm doing on numerous occasions cause this car has had issues and it's a huge inconvenience for me and others. From the time my car wouldn't start until I got my loaner vehicle from them when I dropped my car off it took two hours when it was all said and done. When I got there I had to wait almost an hour. When I get my loaner one of the service guys made sure I had extra gas in there (they see me so often they must feel for me), but then as I drive off I notice that the oil percentage is 15%. I receive a phone call from my technician at Honda 2 days later for him to tell me it's the battery!!!! Really???? I've been saying this all along. I had told them I refuse to pay for a battery since I have been there so many times for this issue. The manager agrees to remove the labor fee (57 dollars which is to replace a battery that takes ten minutes) I speak to the manager he tells me they will call me Saturday to pick it up once they have replaced the battery. It's Sunday today and no word. I'm sorry I don't usually complain cause I indestand that it's busy but I have been there so many times and I'm so frustrated that I had to write a review. I thought I would purchase another vehicle from there but I will NEVER purchase a car from Honda of Watertown again. I'll go right back to Nissan where I purchased a used vehicle as well and didn't come across this many problems. The customer service reps are very nice and everything so I don't want to discredit that but this delearship either needs to hire more technicians or something cause waiting over a week to diagnose a battery and it not being done in a timely fashion is ridiculous

I purchased my CRV there and HAD been happy (or dumb) with routine maintenance. The service guys and gals are very personable, BUT -- Then they started offering cheap oil changes. Every time I got one, they fabricated other expensive issues they wanted to "fix". The most glaring was the serpentine belt they wanted to replace. I took it to Karas Motors for a second opinion and they showed me with a mirror there was not one crack on the whole belt.... dont know how the Honda guys sleep at night.

Welcome feeling place. It was clean and the sales people were all well dressed. They did not wear a golf sheet but all had shirt and ties on so was very professional. We look at other dealers and cars and they all wore gold shirts. One place had ball caps on with matching t-shirts. Really??best of all NO PRESSURE!!!! Love that about Honda of Watertown.

I brought my car in for an alternator, I left with a broken axle and gravel inside my fender well.. oh and on top of that, they refused to pay for the part that their tech broke. Beware of the children that service your car there...if they see a shiny car with a manual transmission, they just can't resist the urge to drive it like a moron. It doesn't take an ASE certification to figure out that the kid did a burnout and broke my axle, I just wish they had owned up to it and fixed their mistake...but they didn't. Service was extremely slow... I spent 5 hours there waiting for an alternator...and they didn't even top off the coolant that they noted was low. Jessica the receptionist said they couldn't open the radiator because the car was too hot....Really? Hot after 5 hours? I am now getting the run around being referred from service adviser, to service manager to general manager and back again and nobody is giving me any answers. I should not be held liable for damages incurred to my vehicle while it was in their possession! I am very disappointed, definitely will not be bringing my car back there. It's worth a farther drive to take it ANYWHERE else.

I purchased a car here three weeks ago, and everything checked out on paper. My friend noticed my car was leaking oil and so I took it in to have it checked out. So turns out my car's oil pan was damaged and the guys (even the Manager) at the service center were extremely RUDE and told me it was my fault and that I had "significantly" hit something. I also had purchased a package to cover my car in case anything had gone wrong with it, and they told me it was "body damage" so it was not covered in the warranty. Then I went and got 4 other opinions at various auto and body shops, all whom said that the oil pan is part of the motor and SHOULD be covered under warranty. I called the next day, and told the Used Car Manager about how rude the service staff was to me and my issue, I mean I've had the car for three weeks! My car is NOT low to the ground where it would scrape, and my 4 opinions I got all have said I would have known if I hit something. The Used Car Manager said he would talk to the service staff and give me a call back in about 15-20 minutes. I'm sitting here writing this because I was giving them the benefit of the doubt but here I am 3 1/2 hours later with no returned phone call. Completely unnecessary and so unprofessional if you ask me. So PLEASE DO NOT BUY A USED CAR HERE WITHOUT CHECKING UNDERNEATH THE CAR FIRST!!! I learned my lesson the hard way, and I'm just not pleased how not one of the staff members here wanted to help me solve my problem at all.

It was my first time purchasing a car, and he helped us work out a deal that made both me and my mother comfortable and one that was affordable. Matt in the service dept. was exceptional!!!!Everything was great, except the cost. I wish my problem was covered under the many, many recalls that Honda has issued, but it was not. Cost me a weeks pay to replace the ignition cylinder. The staff, however, was phenomenal. From the first employee I encounter to the last which was the cashier.

I contacted Jessicah online Thursday in regards to an accord I saw online, they had sold the one I originally wanted to look at, but she was great and sent me 6 different other options, one which caught my eye. I went there that following Saturday to test drive it, loved it, and got to take it home the same day! Jim Ricciuti was extremely knowledgable and professional, was a great help in answering any question I had, and also did everything to make sure I had the best buying experience possible. Even the guys in the finance and the manager, which I forgot his name, were excellent as well. Great staff, so happy to have my new car! After going onto my e-mail and noticing a communication from Honda of Watertown reminding me a service, I was able to schedule the service that day on a Saturday. Although it was quite busy, I was helped very quickly. My servicing rep, Matt reviewed all of the charges before proceeding and said it would take about 2 1/2 hours. Being that this was longer than I anticipated, he checked to see if a rental car was available. Upon returning found my car ready to go for the price quoted. The total experience and the work done on my car was exceptional.

Dealership has a great service department. This was my first time there and Dave met me in the service bay and took care of things from there. My car had not been serviced in quite some time and I was giving it to my daughter to drive. There was lots of things to attend to and Dave got the car right in, introduced me to the mechanic who was great and, went over in detail what was needed to insure the car was safe and ready for her to drive. I would recommend this dealership for service. The experience was very good and the quality of workmanship excellent.

Driving home from work, my 2011 Honda CRV suddenly lost power and the car would only go about 30 miles an hour on the highway. I got home, called Watertown Honda at 6:50 PM and talked to John. I asked if I could get an appointment for the next morning and get a loaner car. He made the appointment and I arrived at 7:30 AM to get the car serviced. He called me about 2 hours later with an estimate and said the car would be ready by 5 PM. The final bill was exactly as quoted and there was no pressure to add other repairs during the quote. I suspect a dealership may be more expensive than other garages, but the quality, speed of service and the loaner car all add up to a great experience.

At the end of October and throughout November I had some very troubling times with my vehicle because of the Honda dealership in Watertown, CT. I brought my car in for a new serpentine belt because mine was partially shredded. My car has aftermarket performance parts so I came prepared with explaining everything thoroughly with the mechanics as well as leaving supercharger installation instructions and having the supercharger company call the dealership directly. The employee of the supercharger company explained to me that he tried to explain how to properly install the belt on my car; however, the Honda mechanic did not seem interested to hear what he had to say. So I get my car back thinking I am all set. 250 miles later my belt shreds partially on the highway. I bring it in again and they explain this is because of my tensioner. They install a new tensioner and a new belt (over $700 worth of work so far at the dealer). When my car was in the shop a second time I receive a call from one of the Honda techs and he leaves two voicemails (which I have saved) explaining that he needs the instructions on how to properly install the belt (so the first time they just winged it?). I call him back and explain to him that the instructions could be downloaded and printed off a pdf online if needed, he explains to me that the car is all set and that they figured it out. I addressed my concern explaining that I felt as though he should review the instructions to ensure a proper install. He said that I was paranoid and that they knew what they were doing. So I get the car back and while I pick it up I ask for my old tensioner so I could show my tuner. The service manger seemed troubled by this request and told me that I could not have it back; I went back and forth with him and then he said if I wanted it back there would be a $30 core fee (whatever that means). I told him that was ridiculous and that I demanded I have it back to show to my tuner. He finally agreed and gave it to me. So my belt started to tear AGAIN and I finally brought it to PA were my tuner is located. He told me that the belt was installed improperly, which was causing my pulley bearing to fail, which then lead to the pulley running off track and shredding/wearing prematurely. I showed him the tensioner and he was shocked to find out that my tensioner was perfectly fine and all it needed was the $20 pulley. Instead of doing that, the dealer told me I needed a new tensioner and charged $160 for a whole unit instead of just replacing the pulley, which would have been easier and cheaper. This is why I believe the manager did not want me to have the old tensioner to examine it. After I left PA my car was running normal again because my tuner properly installed my belt. After my business trip I called the Honda service manager and explained to him what my tuner found. I asked for a refund and he said he would think about it and call me back. He ignored me for about 2 weeks before I finally reached him. When I spoke with him he explained that he could not refund my money because my car was modified. He would not budge; so lets recap quickly. I came into the dealer, asked for a simple service request on my car, they not only did not provide this service they caused numerous expensive issues with my car, when I asked for a refund they said I was not able to receive one because my vehicle was modded. I would understand this if my car was under warranty and the bill went to them, but I paid for everything out of pocket. So I contacted the general manager and explained to him that I did not appreciate this service and that my family has spent 100s of thousands at this dealer (which is true). He replied to me and told me that he would like to meet with me to discuss the issues and possibly issue a refund. He then proceeded to give me the cold shoulder like the service manager did for a while. I left him numerous emails (all saved) and numerous phone calls and messages on his voicemails; he did not respond to any of them. The service at this dealership is problematic to say the least and they care about one thing and thats money. I would not trust this dealer at all if I were you because I no longer do. When I bought the car at the dealer I explained to them the plans I had for the car (supercharger) and asked if I could bring the car in for maintenance. They said they would have no problem working on it but explained to me that I would obviously loose my warranty, which I already knew. So the service manager says that its my fault I brought in a car with mods and I should have known better because they only work on oem cars. So that would entail they lied to me when they sold me the car. Two other incidents I had with this dealer: I had my tires rotated here (July of 2013) and when I left the car had vibration on the highway at 60mph or over. I brought it into Wallingford Honda because it was closer to my residence at the time. I got charged again to fix the job they (they rotated my tires the wrong way) failed to do. When I went to the service manager he refused to give me a refund but wrote on a piece of paper $40. He told me this was a $40 credit that could be used at the dealer (I still have the paper it is amusing). Also, my brother had his car brought in for a new transmission (Honda accord). They charged him $5,000 for a USED transmission. I do not know why my dad went through with it (I learned about it after the fact, I would not have let him do that). Stay away from this dealer at all costs there are plenty of good Honda dealers out there like Honda of Wallingford. You do not have to fall victim to this dealership. If anyone has any doubts of my experience with the dealership I have all emails, Phone calls, voicemails, statements from my tuner, and my old tensioner.

This was my 8th car buying experience. I tend to do a lot of internet shopping to find a reasonably priced car with a fair price and pay in cash (6 of 8 cars have been purchased outright). I found one I liked at a dealership nearby Honda of Watertown called J and M Automotive. I contacted J and M Automotive via email through cars.com and was happy with their quick response. I planned to pay cash for the vehicle, and to drive 2.5 hours away to get the car from them after a quick look at the car to verify that it had all of the things that I saw on the internet. I called J and M Automotive in the morning prior to my departure to make sure that the vehicle was still in their inventory. They said it was. I asked if they'd be willing to hold it. They said that they did not hold cars. I asked if they'd hold it with a deposit from me, feeling fairly confident that it was the car I wanted (after having shopped extensively on the internet to verify that decision). The representative told me that he'd hold the keys in his office and give me a call if someone else was interested.Upon arrival at the dealership after 2.5 hours of driving with a wife and four kids in the car (a circumstance that I had described to their representative in the aforementioned paragraph), he acted surprised that I'd arrived so quickly despite the face that I'd arrived almost exactly when I said I would. I also asked an and M Automotive (prior to arrival via email) if they would accept a personal check. They would not. I asked for a reference to a local bank that would be able to take a check and give me the cashier's check that they required. The bank that I was referred to, was not willing to take a check. Because buying the car with cash was not apparently an option, had actually planned to finance the car with the dealership and pay it off completely at the first monthly payment if I needed to, or to see if they would allow me to pay with a debit card, but it didn't get to that point.The J and M representative looked for the keys on his desk, and could not locate them. He then discovered that they were in one of his associate's offices. Apparently, one of the other sales reps had shown the vehicle to another customer who was buying the car. In fairness, they told me that they would not hold the vehicle and I'm sure that they have had people say they'd be right over who did not arrive. This was my 8th car buying experience. I tend to do a lot of internet shopping to find a reasonably priced car with a fair price and pay in cash (6 of 8 cars have been purchased outright). I found one I liked at a dealership nearby Honda of Watertown called J and M Automotive. I contacted them via email through cars.com and was happy with their quick response. I planned to pay cash for the vehicle, and to drive 2.5 hours away to get the car from them after a quick look at the car to verify that it had all of the things that I saw on the internet. I called in the morning prior to my departure to make sure that the vehicle was still in their inventory. They said it was. I asked if they'd be willing to hold it. They said that they did not hold cars. I asked if they'd hold it with a deposit from me, feeling fairly confident that it was the car I wanted (after having shopped extensively on the internet to verify that decision). The representative told me that he'd hold the keys in his office and give me a call if someone else was interested. Upon arrival at the dealership after 2.5 hours of driving with a wife and four kids in the car (a circumstance that I had described to their representative in the aforementioned paragraph), he acted surprised that I'd arrived so quickly despite the face that I'd arrived almost exactly when I said I would. I also asked them (prior to arrival via email) if they would accept a personal check. They would not. I asked for a reference to a local bank that would be able to take a check and give me the cashier's check that they required. The bank that I was referred to, was not willing to take a check. I had actually planned to finance the car with the dealership and pay it off completely at the first monthly payment if I needed to, or to see if they would allow me to pay with a debit card, but it didn't get to that point. He looked for the keys on his desk, and could not locate them. He then discovered that they were in one of his associate's offices. Apparently, one of the other sales reps had shown the vehicle to another customer who was buying the car. In fairness, they told me that they would not hold the vehicle and I'm sure that they have had people say they'd be right over who did not arrive. Jessica did a great job when I recently purchased my 2014 CRV. As a repeat customer at Honda of Watertown, Jessica took the time to understand what I wanted and delivered exactly that. Also when it came time to have the remote start installed, she went the extra mile, not only picking up and delivering my car from my house but filling the gas tank as well. I spent more than a month looking at Hondas and other cars at various dealerships. Danielle Grasso contacted me after my inquiry, through Edmunds.com, and stayed in touch, updating me at least weekly with inventory information, and answering any questions I had, without nagging. Once I was finally able to schedule a meeting and test drive, she introduced me to Steve Gronowski, who went on the test drive with me and my children, and also with my wife separately when we couldn't schedule a drive together. Both Steve and Danielle were gracious and kind, and went out of their ways to find the car I really wanted and make it possible for me to get it (including having it transferred from a sister dealership).All in all, while purchasing a car is a stressful experience, Danielle and Steve made it as pleasant as is conceivable, and I highly commend and recommend them both.-Mike B.

Over the years, I have purchased many new vehicles and have had dealings with many salespeople. Lisa Stephens is one of the best saleswoman I have ever encountered. She listened to my questions and was not pushy. If she didnt know the answer she quickly found the information I needed. She did not pressure us at all and we didnt have any "hidden" fees. She worked hard and was even able to offer same day delivery on the vehicle. She went above an beyond and called our insurance agent to add the car to our policy!

Terrible experience with a standard oil change... waited close to 90 minutes for my car to be serviced and that's with an appointment. Close to 30 minutes of that time was waiting for my car to be taken off the lift after going through a full vehicle inspection. My $12.95 oil change turned into a long list of service needs that were over $2,000. The technician told me I should give the service quote to my husband... really?!?Don't be taken in by the teaser price of the oil change and plan ahead for a long wait.

Went to purchase a new car at Sullivans Honda in Torrington, I didn't like the service there so I decided to go to the Watertown dealership.I told them about my experience at the Torrington dealership and Paul Marino made sure that my experience there was great.He called to thank me for giving him the opportunity to help with getting a new car and also informed me that at anytime I had any questions he would be available to help me out. 10 years ago I went to Watertown Honda and had a bad experience so I bought my other hondas at other branches. I wanted a new car and since I didn't like the way I was treated at Sullivans Honda I decided to stop by the Watertown dealership and was surprised how things had changed and how nice it was to have someone actually care about my concerns.I am telling everyone what great service I got there and my brother who refferred me to the torrington branch who has purchased 9 cars from there will now be going to the Watertown branch and I gave him Paul Marino's name so he can get the same service as I got. POSITIVE - Jerry Nechamkin & Chris in the Service DepartmentWe came in looking for two vehicles but Jerry focused on one person at a time, to ensure that we were both equally happy. The worst thing in the world is to feel pressured when looking to buy a vehicle. Jerry NEVER made us feel that way. There was an I OWE YOU issued to me for my vehicle and it wasn't done to the full extent of our expectations. The I OWE YOU stated, "repair", not "touch up". I expressed my displeasure and Jerry spoke to management and made the situation right. We ended up buying 2 vehicles from Jerry. When I came back for the second phase of the I OWE YOU, Chris in Service was awesome to work with. He was super accommodating and I would want to work with him again if given the choice.NEGATIVE - Chris HansenTell the magician to put away his bag of tricks. After making me wait 2 hours for completion of his paperwork (another Manager was out but not my problem), he kept me in his office pulling one thing out after another to show me. He had an old tire rim, a copy of his warranty on his personal vehicle, etc. I'm tired, I'm annoyed, and I'm totally inconvenienced. Say what you have to say and let me go home! He laid the guilt trip on pretty thick for not going with an Extended Warranty. It was so bad, that I had to call my husband twice to ensure I was making the right decisions. When pulling out the list for me to initial, that stated I was foregoing all the extra warranties, gap insurance, etc., he called it, "the told you so list". TACKY! Someone needs to tell him to calm down and ask less personal questions, and stick to business. Someone seriously needs to address the shortage of employees or training. After all was said and done, it took me 3 hours to pick up my car. NO ONE should have to go through that. Ridiculous.

The salesman lied and the manager stuck up for him. The manager said the car was sold as is and yes it was but WITH UNDISCLOSED INFORMATION. A one key car turned into a two key car after it was registered I was handed two keys and told by the salesman the owner lost the keys. The manager told me the owner broke the key in the ignition - hence two keys. One for the driver door and one for the passenger door and trunk. The trunk opened ONLY WHEN IT WANTED TO. So I said I wanted the keys fixed. Instead of buying a kit to have the car have all one key I am now the disappointed owner of a THREE KEY CAR. The manager said "what is the difference between a two or three key car"?

Dan went above and beyond for us today and as a result we left Watertown Honda with a brand new 2013 Honda Pilot and we love it! Dan made us feel very comfortable while we were waiting for all the dealer prep and the installation of running boards that they just happened to have in stock for us. It is because of Dan's excellent service and attention to every detail of our sale today that we will gladly recommend Watertown Honda as a dealership that "makes it happen". To be truthful, we were on the fence between a 2014 Ford Explorer (and have been Ford customers for 25 years) and the Honda Pilot (which we have been considering just recently). We had recently driven a 2014 Ford Explorer LTD rental, loaded, from Oklahoma to CT and were very comfortable with the idea of a Ford Explorer being our next vehicle and had been working with a Ford dealer in the area locating one to fit our needs and price. Today, on a whim, we thought we would give the Honda Pilot a look, truly expecting to come home and "sleep on it". I'm not sure any other salesperson could have gone to work as Dan did to bend over backwards to make this sale happen. We then left and checked out the Altima and Sonata. We thought the Altima was noisy and overpriced. We almost bought the Sonata since their price was a little less. We where concerned with Sonata's long time dependability since we put over 25k a year on our main car. Before we did this we went back to Watertown and test drove again. I told Phil my situation with almost buying the Sonata and he reworked some numbers to make it more appealing. We not only bought a new Accord, but picked up a used Accord too. The used Accord was price to sell! Very low stress environment at Watertown. Makes buying easy. Thanks Phil.

This was the best car buying experience I have ever had. Danielle was quick to communicate with me after my initial email, and she paired us up with Jerry. Jerry is a great salesperson to work with. After visiting many dealerships in search of a car, this was the first one that I felt comfortable working with. They gave me a fair amount for my trade in, and I am happy with what I paid for my car. I will definitely return to them in the future.

Customer service was great. Dan was very attentive to my needs and answered all my questions.Dan was very friendly. He made me feel very comfortable in a situation (Working with a sales person) that often can be stressful. Although I worked mostly with Dan, my overall perception was that all the sales people were very friendly.I have to rate my overall experience as great, although when we picked up the car we did have to wait around somewhat. No big deal.Price was good. After all when spending thousands of dollars I don't think any price is great.I can only hope that when I bring in my car for service, my overall experience will be great also.

Walking into Honda of Watertown and purchasing a car from Dan Vargas is one of the best decisions I have ever made. Buying a new car can be a little frightening especially for someone as frugal as myself. Right from the start Dan was pleasant, courteous and most importantly he was honest. On July 16th Dan and I reached an agreement on my new Civic si coupe. It was the exact color and amazingly the exact price that I had hoped for. When I returned the next day to pick up my car and sign the paperwork I saw that everything was just as I was promised. No tricks or extra fees added onto the price. Dan gave me his word that what we agreed to on Tuesday is what I would be getting on Wednesday. I'm so thankful to Honda of Watertown for providing me with a wonderful experience and a great new car!

Buying a car should be fun, and these guys make it fun. They have a great selection of vehicles, are very knowledgeable, and obviously care about cars. Our salesman was Dave Bonomo, who both my wife and I liked very much. I would not hesitate to buy another car from him and recommend him wholeheartedly.This is our second car from Honda of Watertown - we have also had a good experience with the service department.In short, if you're interested in a Honda and live in central/Western Connecticut, this is a terrific option.

I took my new car in for an oil change and to have a recall serviced. I got my car back with a damaged bumper. When I called to get it fixed I was told that it would be a week before they could have it in because they had to secure a loaner for me that was large enough for my family and they would call me back to confirm the details. I never received a confirmation call and when I called them on the day it was supposed to go back in I was told they were still working on it and I would hear back within a couple of hours. No call back. The next day I called someone higher up in the Lorensen auto group and he seemed to get things moving. I got a call back from Bryan that they were picking my car up to replace the bumper and they would bring me a loaner that day. Today I called them to check on the status of my car and I was told the bumper was repaired and would be returned to me today. I called the guy at Lorensen again and he called me back to tell me of the unethical way they planned to replace my bumper. I am currently pursuing the issue through Honda USA to get the bumper replaced properly and CT DMV consumer complaints for doing work without authorization.

Took car in for a recall of drivers side airbag and SRS light. Cruise control no longer works.After multiple trips to this establishment and complaints SRS was fixed and Cruise Control will get fixed out of pocket at a reputable Honda dealership. Although not this one.

I told Phil Verini exactly the car that I wanted; just the basic CRV....no pressure on anything other than the model that I wanted; just a basic CRV; no add ons, etc....took a ride in a CRV, he explained all the features on the standard car and then went through the parking lot and checked out all the colors and then I decided on the CRV that I wanted......I wanted his best lowest price and I would not come back to haggle price if I went to another dealership.....I was satisfied with the price and called back and told him that I would be in on the following Tuesday to pick up the CRV that I wanted....it was ready when I arrived.....

I was met courteously and promptly.....I mentioned that I was interested in a new CRV and wanted the best price that they would give me and that I was trading a 2003 CRV......I was not going to come back and hassle price if I went and checked out another dealership for a CRV.....I wanted the best price that they could give me with my trade-in and just one price......Phil gave me that price and I told him that I would make up my mind in a couple of days and would get back to him.....I gave no down payment......I called 2 days later and told them to get the CRV, that I was interested in, ready the following Tuesday. I returned, the car was ready, we closed the deal and I left quite satisfied. I did not go to another dealership. I was satisfied with the offer that Phil gave me.

I just purchased a used 2010 Honda Fit Sport from Honda of Watertown and could not be happier with the experience I had here. I was a bit intimidated starting the process of buying a car since a. this is the first time I have bought a car and was completely unfamiliar with the process and b. I am a young woman who was going about the process solo. I found the listing on Honda of Watertown's site after an INCREDIBLY negative experience at a different Honda dealership in Branford, CT (which I will save for a different review). The car was just what I was looking for so I sent them a message through their website asking if it was still available. Since I had been putting some feelers out for cars for a bit of time, I knew that submitting a form through their site would likely mean I would receive a barrage of spammy emails about any car BUT the one I was looking at. Instead, I promptly received a friendly response from their online sales manager, Danielle, letting me know that the car was still available and asked if I would like to come in for a test drive. I went in on a Saturday afternoon and was introduced to Jerry, the sales consultant I would be working with. After sitting down and discussing the basics (my price range, how long I've been looking for a car, if I was only interested in that one, etc), we were off on a test drive. Jerry was incredibly friendly and listened to everything I had to say. He was patient with all of my questions and helped me understand all of the details regarding financing, the warranty, etc. He definitely made me feel very much at ease and empowered to make such a large purchase. Totally laid back and low-pressure. I just purchased a used 2010 Honda Fit Sport from Honda of Watertown and could not be happier with the experience I had here. I was a bit intimidated starting the process of buying a car since a. this is the first time I have bought a car and was completely unfamiliar with the process and b. I am a young woman who was going about the process solo. I found the listing on Honda of Watertown's site after an INCREDIBLY negative experience at a different Honda dealership in Branford, CT (which I will save for a different review). The car was just what I was looking for so I sent them a message through their website asking if it was still available. Since I had been putting some feelers out for cars for a bit of time, I knew that submitting a form through their site would likely mean I would receive a barrage of spammy emails about any car BUT the one I was looking at. Instead, I promptly received a friendly response from their online sales manager, Danielle, letting me know that the car was still available and asked if I would like to come in for a test drive. I went in on a Saturday afternoon and was introduced to Jerry, the sales consultant I would be working with. After sitting down and discussing the basics (my price range, how long I've been looking for a car, if I was only interested in that one, etc), we were off on a test drive. Jerry was incredibly friendly and listened to everything I had to say. He was patient with all of my questions and helped me understand all of the details regarding financing, the warranty, etc. He definitely made me feel very much at ease and empowered to make such a large purchase. Totally laid back and low-pressure. Customer Service-Jerry was by far the best Honda salesperson we have ever done business with, (and there have been several during the past few yeats). He was informative, accommodating and most important-NOT overly aggressive! I would recommend Jerry to anyone, and can safely say that he was the most professional of all the Honda folks we dealt with during this trade-in transaction.I was a little disappointed with a couple of "maintenance" issues concerning the new car. The driver-side headlight seal must have failed and there was a lot of condensation in side the headlight. Jerry assured us that it would be fixed, but I'm suprised that no one in maintenance had picked up on the problem. The new part was ordered and I'm sure will arrive soon. Additionally, the oil level was down almost a quart which made us wonder how carefully the car had been checked when it was in-serviced. I would be interested to know what the in-service check list is for used vehicles!We are very happy with our Honda Crosstour, and plan to own Honda vehicles as long as we are able to drive! In addition to buying a great car, we were very happy with Jerry, our salesperson.

I live in Middletown and chose to purchase my Honda from Dave, although there are Honda dealerships closer than Honda of Watertown. Bought Honda Accord Sport Manual via USAA car buying service over Internet. Dealt with Danielle Grasso who honored the price we discussed and did not give me any run around. I received an excellent price on a new car.I dealt with other dealers that would not negotiate or who did not disclose all of the extra charges beyond agreed the purchase price. George Duffy was sales person who went through the workings of the car with me. Very frank, very thorough and honest. This was the easiest and most enjoyable car purchase I have made. I have owned previous hondas (great cars) which I purchased elsewhere. I would recommend this dealer and these individuals to friends and family.

I brought the car back for a couple items they promised to take care of: TPMS system, re-conditioned rims, and they detailed the outside. They provided me a loaner while mine was being taken care of. My husband and I began our car search never thinking that we would buy a car the same day. We had stopped at a few dealerships but weren't impressed with either the offerings or the salesman. When we stopped at Honda of Watertown we were greeted by a salesman who just wanted to be helpful. There was no "meet my quota" pushiness. We essentially knew what we were looking for and he was instrumental in helping us find the right car. He was knowledgeable about every car in inventory and took his time explaining the positives and negatives of each one we expressed interest in. Repeatedly he would say "I just want you to find a car that you will be happy with." We can't say enough about Steve's patience, integrity, and helpfulness. In fact, over the course of the afternoon, we had conversations with many of the salesmen who were equally knowledgeable and thoughtful. We were extremely satisfied with the service and left feeling like we had a very positive experience. We will now spread the word about Honda of Watertown and its wonderful staff

I leased my first new car from Honda of Watertown, and the dealer who helped me choose it was David Bonomo. It was a wonderful experience all around: David was helpful, knowledgeable, and fair from the start. He certainly did not "pressure me" into making any purchases, and helped to negotiate a great price for the vehicle. Throughout the buying experience, he was attentive and available. I had tons of questions as a first-time customer, and David answered them all clearly and concisely. After I signed the paperwork, he spent extra time to help me set up the car to my preferences and followed up a few days later to make sure I was enjoying it and didn't have any lingering questions. David was definitely the best part of buying from this dealership, though I would say the dealership as a whole was fair, friendly, and helpful. Highly recommended!

It was a great experience working with Jim Ricciuti at Honda of Watertown. Within the past 5 months, my 2 sisters and I have purchased new Hondas from this dealership, and Jim was our salesperson. He listened attentively to our needs and wasn't pushy while discussing various vehicle options. He was thorough and knowledgeable of the product during the sales process, as well as post sale. Mike Canty was also professional and efficient during the financial transaction. The dealership itself presented well. It was well arranged and inviting and the personnel were professionally attired. This added to the process being more pleasant. I visited other dealerships prior to this one where the decorum of the facility and the staff were less than appealing and was a deterrent to pursuing business with them. I would recommend Honda of Watertown to friends and family; and Jim specifically.

I went for service but I also spoke with Jim Ricciuti about possibly buying a new car because I won't buy anything but a Honda! I brought my civic in for an oil change. The service was outstanding. Matt (Service Advisor) was awesome! He answered all of my questions. The cashier, I'm sorry I don't know her name, was great too. I received an email from the Service Manager after to ask if they could do anything else for me as well. Pleasantly surprised by the outstanding customer service. Oh wait, I forgot to mention pretty much the best part... I left there with a bill for $14!! They checked a bunch of things and only came up with the fact that I could use a transmission fluid change. One of the only times I've ever been to ANY car place where they didn't try to tell me the car needs tons of work!!

Both Rick and Philip made our car shopping experience both pleasurable, informative and easy. Not to mention that a certain level of humor was extremely soothing at a time where stress can easily be felt - honestly, who likes to shop for a new car? Philip took no care in the fact that the day we came to pick up our new car, it was snowing pretty heavily outside. Throughout the length of time it took to put the plates on and get our new car prepped, he continued to smile and be delightful all the while. Rick was also extremely accommodating and very upfront and honest throughout the entire process. Again, adding some humor to the situation to help make it "less painful."All the staff that we came in contact with and passed all greeted us and were just as welcoming. Our experiences with Phil and Mike at Honda of Watertown were above and beyond our expectations. From the moment we walked in the door, to the minute we drove out of the lot in our two new 2013 models, we were cared for and treated with the upmost respect. Phil was more than accommodating with answering our questions from in the showroom to out on the road during test drives. He was attentive, honest, and made us feel so comfortable. Mike assisted us with the financial paperwork and was efficient and helpful throughout the entire process. The first lease I had was 2-11-11 and I was very happy with the car. I brought my 2011 honda civic for an oil change 10-12-2011 after I left I recieved a nice email from Phil Verini saying sorry that he miised me to say hi and asked if I would like to come in to see if I would like to lease another Honda. I came back the next day Phil was great he listened to what I wanted and was sincere not pushy . It was nice to that the General Mgr Rick Bierce came over and said hello and remembered me fro the lastpurchase and thanked me for coming back. Chase Dziloski aslo was a big help. NEVERTHELESS, I DECIDED TO GET THE CAR FIXED RIGHT AND TOOK IT BACK TO HONDA 3 MONTHS LATER AND BECAUSE I FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLE, FRIENDLY HONDA TOLD ME TO COME AND GET MY DISABLED VEHICLE OUT OF THEIR SERVICE AREA BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT GOING TO FIX MY CAR. Chris was very helpful in assessing my needs and budget for buying a used car for my growing family. I ended up with a great used 2009 Civic at a good price. The certified warranty impressed me and was a huge factor in my decision. Chris followed through on his promises to meet my expectations for repainting certain areas of the car as he promised during our sales interaction. After having the car for a month, it runs great and the whole team at Watertown Honda including the manager Jim has been really resourceful, courteous and friendly in answering all my questions. Would I recommend this dealership - No. My previous post should have had no.Pressured and untruthfulness is this dealership motto. I wanted to test drive the Honda Civic and wanted to know what type of deal I could get. I was told that I was receiving a discount because I know an employeed. The discount was less than whatI was offered at another dealership. I was told that the 0.9% percent financing would end on Sept. 4. Definitely not true since I still hear the 0.9% financing on the radio. I wanted to come back but was pressured into buying and taking the car on the same day. Not happy with the whole experience. I was not given the option of getting the VIN number etched on the windows. This was tagged on and saw it after a closer look at the contract. The finance person did not even go line by line with the contract as I've experienced with other dealships. I stopped by a week later to speak with Mr. Verini but he was busy, I left a voicemail message which is yet to be returned. I know I should have just walked out and not closed the deal. What bothers me is the untruthfulness of the supped deal I was getting and the low finance rate ending on Sept. 4. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. Worse experience ever - this is my fourth new car from different automakers and this has been the worse experience ever. It has turned me off of purchasing another Honda in the future.

Went driving around, not sure what kind of car I wanted to replace a lease with. Stopped in Honda of Watertown to peruse the used car lot after going to another dealer. Saw the used CRV, I could not believe the prices on them. Chris Hansen came out, introduced himself, let us take one for a test drive. My wife and I were sold after that. Chris was able to get me out of my lease and into a 2008 CRV with all the bells and whistles at a reasonable price. I could not be pleased more. I think this was one of the only times after buying a car (used or new) that I didn't feel like I was taken advantage of. Thank you Chris! I will pass the word around about Honda of Watertown.

This was my first experience purchasing a car from a dealership, so I was a little nervous and hesistant. I was greated promptly by Chris, and given all of the friendly and helpful advice I could've asked for. Unlike the stereotypical used car salesmen, Chris wasnt pushy, sketchy, or gimicky. I loved the friendly atmosphere of the dealership and I immediately felt at home with everyone. When things with financing didnt go exactly as planned, Chris and the team were more than happy to accomodate, and assist me in making an even better choice then originally planned. My father who helped me through the whole process was extremely impressed with the sincerity and knowledge of the staff at Honda of Watertown. I have to say this is Honda of Watertown is The Best Honda dealership by far in the state of Connecticut. I leased a Honda pilot back in 2008 with Executive Honda in Wallingford ct as it was convenient and close to home. Back in 2008 I felt the service was okay at Executive however they didn't do anything out of the ordinary in my opinion to make my first lease experience memorable. At the end of the lease I decided to look at leasing a new Honda pilot and I returned back to Executive Honda again for my new car. initially was working Tavia with Internet sales. She was awesome! It was the finance department that made me look either into another make vehicle to lease or look at another Honda dealship. Just to be clear here it was the personality of one of the finance gentleman in that area. I can not remember his name however I do recall his behavioral actions while I was sitting outside looking at him throwing his hands up in the air and waving them around while he was talking with Tavia after he inspected my vehicle. He appeared to be very cocky,unfriendly and short in his responses when I asked him about the return. It was as if he was doing me a favor by returning the vehicle and getting me into another one. It also appeared as if he may of Ben arguing with Tavia about it. When I questioned Tavia on it she responded professionally and said that the refinancing had changed a bit due to having 500 miles more than what they thought I had. It didn't make sense as I had given her the exact mileage when the original prices were worked up. I left the dealership questioning what had just happened and after seeing the finance department I was disappointed. Even more so when I didn't get a callback from them on my return. I then started shopping again but my heart was with Honda. I have an 11 year old and safety is key. I did my research and I know as far as reliability and safety Honda is within my budget and rated highly for both. I then turned to Honda of Watetown and I will say I was a bit frightened until I talked with Phil Verini. I said nothing about my experience with the previous Honda dealship. I explained my dilemma to him with my return as well my desire to sell a vehicle I recently acquired due to a divorce. Phil asked me a few questions and then asked me to come in. What really took me by surprise is he took my word for everything he asked and didn't make me jump through any hoops that were not necessary. He asked me specially what I wanted and he got the deal done. His explanations and follow through on this deal were flawless. Both he and Mike Canty were very sincere and genuinely kind from beginning to end. What makes this a very memorable experience for me is that I was dealing with a very difficult personal and emotional situation at the time and I just needed to secure a vehicle and move on to other things I needed to get it done. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone and will be stopping back in to share my exceptional customer experience with the owner. Kudos to Jon lorensen and his staff.

I was financing a certified used Honda CRV from Danbury Honda. I was unhappy with the size after my family kept growing. I wanted to look into trading my CRV for the Honda Pilot. I wasn't looking for anything fancy, but a truck I would feel safe in. My CRV is an amazing truck and I'venever felt safer driving on my own than I did with my CRV. That means the Honda brand was staying with me. I truly only went in for a test drive, because I was unsure with our budget we would be able to afford a new truck...used or otherwise. Right away Phil came over to ask us if we needed help: He was not pushy or obnoxiously overbearing and made an impression right away. Phil built his rapport with us without making us feel obligated. He also immediately put us behind the wheel of a 2012 Honda Pilot. He gave recommendations, but didn't push for the higher end car. I loved this truck. The ride was smooth, the truck was large but not too large for me to handle, and the ecofuel option makes for a wonderful and surprising plus.Newly married buying a new car is a joint decision. My husband and I were afforded the privacy to make our decision and not feel pressured. My two children were with us in selecting the car and while they are very quiet and well behaved Phil made it a point to include them in everything. This made a large impact on my children. The wait in purchasing a new car has never been fun, but Phil was fast and efficient. He also helped us trick our kids as we had told them we could not afford the car. That made the experience that much better. He even took a picture of their faces when we told him the truth. Priceless family memories and of the whole experience that meant the most to me. Chase: What can I say about Chase?? The man is truly a funny man. When financing anything it always feels like a chore or puts undue stress on a person. Chase did not make it feel that way. I, personally, have a lower end credit score... not on the bottom but kind of in the middle. He did not look down on me or make me feel for one second he could not help me. Chase was very personable... not the robot that sits behind the desk. I also liked that the financing portion was done at the end of our trip here. It made me feel a lot more secure with my decision to purchase from this dealership... What I mean is that they didn't make me feel that my credit score was the only way I would get a new truck. I wanted that truck and they made sure it was feasible for me to have it with little to no stress for me or my husband.I also met a man names James. He was one of the service managers at the certified used car lot adjacent to the new car lot. He made it a point of coming over to us to explain that he would be looking over the CRV to ensure that I would be happy with the trade amount. The trade amount was more than reasonable and while he took away my old baby I felt that at least she was going to be taken care of. ** I did not see his name or picture listed, but he was a very nice man.**Overall best experience I have had buying a new car. I left with the truck I wanted, at a rate that I could afford, and everyone was happy. A-1 in the service especially considering they closed the doors at 6 and were still personable at 7:30. Great experience and when my least is up I will be coming back to Watertown Honda.

The dealer first was not honest about the 2.9 percent financing. Then they told me it would be 5.9. Also they lost the title to the car they sold me. Lastly they put the incorrect vin number on my insurance causing me to get a bill for 1400 dollars.

I made an appointment to have my Safety Restraint System checked in March. It was determined that it was under warranty and that the driver's seatbelt buckle was the problem. They did not have the part and it would have to be ordered. It is now June, and I have not been notified that the part is available. However, I have been contacted several times to have MORE service done to the vehicle. They are after money and not concerned about customer safety.

I went there knowing what I wanted, what I wanted to pay and Mike and Phil make it very easy and comfortable for me. I even had my daughter there and we were there quite a while, she in only nine. The staff made it very comfortable and enjoyable for her. Phil explained everything to me, Didn't rush me and answered every question I had. I would definatly refer my friends and family to the Watertown dealership. Great experience and great car.

I have always gone to Honda of Watertown for service on my civic and have always had very friendly service. Everyone is always willing to answer any question you may have and you are always greeted with a smile. Since I've always liked there service department I decided to look for CRVs there. Jim was very friendly got me right into one to test drive it. He answered all my questions and if he didn't know he made sure to ask someone that did know. I would definitly recommend you go there for your next car purchase.

We visited Honda of Watertown to test drive the CRV. Right off the bat, Jim was extremely accommodating and got us right into the one we liked. He answered a lot of our questions before we even had to ask and he did a great job of selling a car that, quite frankly, can sell itself. This was, hands down, the easiest automobile decision we've ever made and we feel that Jim is largely responsible for that. Thanks for a great experience and we look forward to our eventual second Honda from Watertown.

This was our third visit to Honda of Watertown,and each time for a new Honda Pilot. And because of the sales consultants there, there will be a 4th. I would especially like to commend this visit's consultant, Philip Verini. He is very personable, competent, and definitely dedicated to "customer satisfaction". He spends the time with you to make sure you are comfortable with the new car and therefore, when you get into the car to drive home you ARE comfortable with the car and everything involved in the sale. I would highly recommend him and the dealership to friends looking for a car.

Chris was helpful and informative during my experience in shopping for a used car. I wasn't ready to buy right off the bat because I wanted to educate myself before I jumped right in. He listened to what I was looking for and kept an eye on his inventory. When he felt a car that matched my requirements turned up he called me. I test drove the car and became interested in that option. We briefly discussed what the next step would be and I returned the next day with my father because I was uncomfortable proceeding on my own. With the confidence of having an experienced buyer with me I was ready to proceed. We sat down with Chase from the financial department who was also very helpful. We went over all the options and final pricing and I ended up buying this particular vehicle and am happy with my purchase.

I had an excellent experience with Phil and Honda of Watertown! I purchased a Honda CRV new in 2009 from them, and the car has been excellent and service has been excellent. Phil contacted me recently to find out if I was interested in trading in my used CRV for the newest model. He worked it out so it made sense for me to do this and met all my needs, and was great to work with -- very easygoing, no pressure, just worked to be sure the deal met my goals. He spent alot of time after the sale reviewing how the car worked, no rush, making sure I was comfortable. He even filled the gas tank! Michael in the finance group also did a great job, was very clear, friendly, no rushing, very helpful through the process. I can't say enough about how positive my experience was!

This delearship is fantastic. They go above and beyond. My wife traded in her Pilot for a 2012 Ridgeline. This is the third vehicle in the last 3 years we have purchased from them. After visiting several dealerships, Michael Joy and Honda of Watertown were a breath of fresh air. My wife and I never felt pressured or rushed and even with a tight budget, Michael found several options and highlighted the various differences of each. While every other dealership made it seem like we were a transaction and being "sold", Michael took the time to develop a relationship and made us feel comfortable with the entire process. We are really glad we made the 45 minute drive to Watertown and would happily purchase another vehicle from Michael if the opportunity arises.

Buying a car from Honda of Watertown was an easy, relaxing experience. Michael Joy was professional, courteous, and down to earth. I literally spent the entire afternoon in their lobby while I made my decision and nitpicked every little thing about the car. I must have been there for five or six hours, yet I never felt rushed or pressured to buy. I really had not planned on making a purchase that day, and they were very understanding of that. I got a great car at a great price. Since my purchase, they have followed up several times to make sure I'm happy with it. Most importantly, when speaking with them since, they really remember me, not just the sale. They remembered what we talked about and what my concerns where, and they were sure to ask about them. I would definitely go back to Honda of Watertown. I've recommended them several times.

Special and honorable mention goes to Phil V His attention to detail was painstaking , he was patient and knowledgeable and did everything humanly possible to consummate the sale in a way that satisfied my every concern and answered every question I posed. Another great job by Carlos!!! He excels at proactively keeping me updated with the status of my car. Specifically, I appreciate how he is able to recommend services and repairs to optimize the use of labor, thereby reducing my cost. For instance, while performing a routine break replacement they discovered that the left rear wheel bearing had to be replaced. If I authorized the repair, the labor costs would be greatly reduced because they were already working on that section of the car. Plus there would not be a separate diagnostic fee since they discovered the problem in the course of making a repair. Naturally, I authorized the bearing repair and Im delighted with all the work and service. In fact, I usually play books-on-tape while driving to work, but today I just wanted to listen to my car run. I truly feel like a strategic partner / client in the care of my car with Carlos, not just a customer.

We recently bought a new Honda from this dealership. First of all we are completely happy with the car! The experience with the staff in this dealer: not soo much.First, Please do your homework before setting foot on this dealer lot. Second, be aware that there are other Honda dealers in CT that as of a couple weeks ago have lower conveyance fees than Honda of Watertown. Third, staff at this dealer plays good cop/bad cop. They will use the Friend card on you to make you feel guilty, but then have no shame in sneaking hidden costs into the contract thats up to you to find & then force them to rip it up & re-write.Is it possible to buy a good car here? Yes. But you will have to be on guard & fight tooth and nail to get the best deal in the area from them! If you relax for just a moment = they will pounce on you! (it is a business after all).So please, do your self the favor & shop around first, be a smart shopper. If you choose this dealer, you need to be prepared to fight for a fair price. If this isnt too important for you = then you will be just fine.

Philip did an excellent job quickly locating a car that met our needs. He also worked as a valuable intermediary as various problems arose. Without him we would have left and purchased a car elsewhere. This was our 6th purchase at this dealership (4 new & 2 used) and the most difficult.There seemed to be a reluctance to accept a pre-approved loan from Bank of America. We used Bank of America because Honda of Watertown was listed as a "qualified dealership" under their program. I presented the pre-approval letter form Bank of America, which detailed dealer instructions and was told that I would have to get a check from BOA. After about 20 minutes, the finance department (or manager) figured out how to submit this to BOA for payment. We then scheduled the car for pick up the next day with a reminder to bring the balance of the money and the license plates (transfer).When I arrived the next day at my scheduled time, I was kept waiting for approximately 20 minutes before finally seeing the finance manager (not sure of the title, but he did all of the paperwork). I was told that they would not accept a personal check. Come on. 5 previous purchases, all on personal checks, 3 for full payment and one check drawn on a Maryland bank (my father-in-law's gift to us). We have been at the same address and bank for the last 24 years. Another 20 minutes passed before the check was finally accepted.At this point, Philip is giving us a tour of the car, manuals, meeting with Dave Elwell while the title is being produced. Just as Philip is handing me the keys, a booming voice (the finance-paperwork guy) from across the showroom shouts, "Don't release the car!"! I felt like a criminal. It seems that the car was a lease buyout and it would take a week or two to get the title issued. Shouldn't someone have known this before the car was offered to me for sale? Was it really necessary to shout across the entire showroom?Once again, Philip saved the day and had Dealer plates put on the car so that I could finally drive it home. Philip has been extraordinary throughout the process.I answered that "Price" was only good. I anticipated negotiating to a lower price but fully understand the effects of the earthquake in Japan on supply and demand. The price was fair.Honda of Watertown remains high on my list for their excellent maintenance department and having dealt with Dave Elwell for many years. Repairs are not cheap, but you can always leave with the confidence that they have been done correctly. Please view my comments as constructive criticism designed to keep Honda of Watertown as a premier dealership.

Always a friendly cooperative experience dealing with the service dept. I get that it is their job to offer add'l work. Usually I will consider some of it. Half the time I consider the services unnecessary or superfluous but I never get a real hard sell so I appreciate that. Believe me, if they pressed real hard, I'd walk. Everyone is positive and friendly. I really appreciate the rides to work - Les is a good guy.

Overall, I had a great experience at Honda of Watertown. My salesman, Rick, was informative and down to earth. There were no hard sell tactics just upfront, honest discussions. It was very clear to me that they wanted my business. I was so pleased with the experience that my mother has also purchased a car through this dealership. I have read some of the other posts, and I recommend that people do their homework and go into the process educated. It will empower you as a consumer. The last time I purchased a new car it was from Honda of Watertown and I'm still driving that same 1999 Honda Odyssey w/ 164,000 miles. This was a very smooth experience and hassle free. They added the extras and had them ready at the agreed upon time. I would recommend this dealership.GF

I brought in my car for diagnostics. It cost 103 dollars and they gave me a very vauge list of repairs. I was looking for a breakdown between parts and labor that it didn't include. They jumped to the most expensive solutions for repair. Some of it wasn't needed. Then I brought my car to another honda dealership that diagnosed the car correctly. I had the repairs done there for less than a third and haven't had any problems since.

Just had an oil change yesterday.. They are awesome, I told them to take their time. They had it done in an hour, plus they hand washed my car. WOW!! I couldn't belive it. My car looked like I just had bought it. That's how shiny it was. They always do a great job. Their getting better and better every day. Plus I know my car is in good hands. Honda of Watertown, is by far the most nice dealership I've been too. It is very clean,doesn't stink like Brass City. The employees at Honda Of Watertown already know my name. They greet you in such a family friendly way. Art my mechanic is the best their is. He does an excellent job on my car, he is the only one that works on my car for the past 7 years. If you want to wait for you car they have an awesome waiting room, or you can go home, they'll pick you up when your car is ready. How do you like that!! Nice!! They also give you a ride home too. My fav.. awesome service.For service.. Ask for Art, that's the guy!!

They always meet my expectations. I reccomend Art always. He is great at his job.I Never had a problem. That's why I keep going back. Honda of Watertown is my favorite place to buy or service my car. I recently purchased a Mini Cooper S from Honda of Watertown. My salesperson Rick, explicitly told me that they put new tires on the car. When I got it inspected, the mechanic told me that these tires were completely shot. Now i'm waiting for Rick and his manager to do the right thing and replace the tires. Now I wonder what else Rick lied about. Do yourself a favor, don't shop here. Don't buy from any place that has the Jon Lorensen name on it. You'll not get anything remotely close to their motto "We take integrity in our business dealings very seriously".

Honda of Watertown was the first car dealership I had went to. After the experience I would never ever step one foot through the doors, nor would I recommend anyone to go there. I was looking at a Honda Civic. I picked out the car I wanted, (which ended up being a 2010 Honda civic coupe ex). After signing the deal and getting a price that was told to be 233 a month I agreed to purchase the vehicle. They told me that I was all set my credit was great and that I got the car. Everything was signed and thy told me that I could take the car that day. Nate told me he was sending it back to get cleaned and ready for me to take it. After twenty minutes he told me the car was all set. He gave me the keys and the books. Then told me I just had to go in Drew room to sign the final papers. When I arrived in the room Drew told me that I have to pay an extra hundred dollars a month to get the car. I was confused of why they told me this after they gave me the car. They told me they assumed I was a tear one by my appearance but I ended up tear three. They were then rude to me and were just trying to push off a deal after they messed up but were not willing to negotiate. I would not ever go to Honda of Watertown. They are rude and disrespectful. The also DO NOT put the customer first!
