I had a great time with Glenn and Paul in my used car search this past weekend. After the car I originally came for turned out to not be what I wanted, they went above and beyond to find something I would be happy with. They were very reasonable and polite during negotiations. I got a very fair price for my trade in vehicle here, something another dealer refused to consider. I would be more than happy to buy a vehicle here again when the time comes.

As a younger first time buyer it’s easy to be manipulated in the car business. I had been to a few dealers beforehand that made me feel intimidated and only gave me one option, to put more money down or do things that would only benefit them. I left those dealerships feeling defeated. I left Hoover with a new car. I told them what my ideal payment was and they made it happen. I never once felt backed into a corner or pressured. Stanley was my representative and he spent all day with me weighing out multiple options and made SURE that I felt entirely confident in my purchase. My parents also came by to make sure that I didn’t get taken advantage of, and they both loved Stanley and commend him for his remarkable customer service. He has also followed up with me more than once to ensure customer satisfaction. If you want to leave feeling mentally exhausted, go to another dealership. If you want to leave with a new car, go to Hoover. And see Stanley!

Corry is simply the best at what he does. He went above and beyond to make sure I was not only satisfied with my purchase, but very happy about it. Let me start by saying my husband has a Dodge for a vehicle but I do not. He was so impressed with Clay and the service he continues to get, that he asked if they would service my non-Dodge vehicle. They said yes and I am so glad they did. Clay is a pleasure to deal with as a service advisor. He is cheerful, communicates well, is very knowledgeable and advises you without being pushy. I dropped my car off, he arranged a ride home for me and even a pick-up if needed when my car was done. My car was done in a timely manner and I am pleased with the work done. My son is now bringing his vehicle to them! We will definitely continue to use them for our vehicle service needs.

Great dealership and friendly staff. Came in upside down on a loan and had little hope of getting a car with a good interest rate. Not only did Hoover get me out of the loan I was in, they paid off my loan and I was approved for the truck I wanted with a payment I could afford. They went above and beyond for me and I have a new truck I love.

I enjoyed my buying experience at the Hoover dealership in Moncks Corner. I found the sales staff, management and financing team to be helpful, knowledgeable, patient and trustworthy. They listene dot my preferences an dprice range na dowrked iwht me to find the irght vehicle and di not push me simply to make a sale. I recommend them and will be happy to shop there again in the future.

I had my 2002 Chrysler Sebring 2.7 towed to your location back in the beginning of January, and the vehicle was towed to your location because the vehicle had been running hot. We explained to the service representative that we had 2 prior diagnoses of possible blown head gasket but the 3rd diagnosis came back not the head gasket and that we wanted a 4th opinion so we wanted a FULL diagnosis performed so we could find out exactly what the issues were before we put any more money into the car, we were quoted 99.00 for the Full diagnosis and 50.00 for towing but the diagnosis fee would be waived if we did do the repairs at the location. Once the diagnosis was complete I was informed that it WASN'T the head gasket but that it was running hot because the housing assembly was broken and was given the estimate for that repair which was $500.00 and something I believe, I then authorized the repair on that. A few days later the advisor called me back, " he said Ms., I have some bad news we fixed the housing assembly but you also need a new water pump, he then explained that he could give me a good deal on everything because of the new diagnosis and he understood how that could be so he said he would do everything out the door for 1400.00 which included the towing. When I asked the service advisor " was he sure it wasn't the head gasket because I didn't want to get the repairs done then, they come back and say it was the head gasket or something else", he said no it wasn't the head gaskets, I then asked again, I stated I don't know much about cars but I thought when a car ran hot it was a good chance the head gasket was blown, he responded again with no, so I said I get this fixed and I'll be good to go? He answered with yes you get this fixed and you will be good to go. I then asked if I got these other repairs done will they then retest to make sure it wasn't the head gaskets", he asked with its not the head gaskets but the will recheck everything once the repair is done anyway, I then authorized the repair and said thank you. Because, I couldn't pay all at once I made arrangements to make payments. I paid 300.00 on January 10th. I came back January 27th to pay the remaining balance of the 1388.75, with another discount applied became the total, so 1088.75. I drove the car home and everything seemed fine until the next morning it was cold and my sister was picking up my nieces she tried to turn on the heat and nothing but cool air came out she took it back to Hoover but they were unable to look at it because it was so late in the day so I took it back Saturday morning. They ran a dye in it and came back with a BLOWN HEAD GASKET, as you can image I was very upset, the same service advisor came and broke the news "I asked how could this have been missed, what tests could have been done that were not done? He responded with "O this was an internal blown head gasket the tests that were done would not have found that unless there were looking for it, its an old car not worth putting money into" I was amazed because this was not the things that were being said when the repair was offered. I asked to speak with the general manager where I explained to him the situation and I expressed that I believed a refund was due or the repair done at no charge, I felt he was dismissive and offered no compromising solution, he had the service advisor contact me with what they felt were discounted price of 1066.00 for the heads but if they take the heads off and it was the block it would be 2000.00 and something. I believe this was very poor service; I did everything I felt a customer should do. I provided the information, I asked all the questions and in the end my service was not valued.

My son is stationed at Goose Creek. He bought a car from Hoovers . I don't believe they do a very good job explaining to these young men and women from out of state that they are not collecting sales tax and that the sales tax will have to be paid by them in their home state (for us its Ohio). It amounts to a significant amount of money for these kids and there are ways to include it in their financing if they are given a chance. I feel like it is taking advantage of them because it lowers the real price and payment.

In July of 2012 we took our 2006 van in for a scheduled oil change. We had bought the van new from Hoover and they had performed all the service on the vehicle with the exception of tires. While we were waiting one of the sales people Henry McNeil came in and asked us if we were ready to purchase a new vehicle. We laughed and told him we were happy with our van. The service manager came out and asked us back to the service area where we were told the radiator was cracked and there was no water in the vehicle. We were shocked and said we had to get the vehicle home. They filled it up with water and we drove home. Based on what it would cost to replace the radiator and the fact that we had over 140000 miles on the vehicle we called the dealership to speak to Henry. He offered to come pick us up if we needed but we told him we would drive over. He had several vehicles ready for us to look at based on what we told him we were looking for. We bought a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan and have been very happy with the vesicle. We would highly recommend Hoover Dodge if you are in the market for reputable, fair, competitively priced service or an honest no nonsense approach to selling vehicles. What could have been a very negative situation, turned out to be a very nice experience.
