Tony Serignese was very pleasant and nice. He knew exactly what I was trying to explain to him for my son. He is very patient and takes his time and offers a lot of good information. I was just the middle man (women) and I got just what my son was looking for from Mr. Serignese. When my son stepped in and took over, it went smooth as silk he says. My son came to Tapper from the "Motor City". We had gone back in forth for two months trying to get this deal done and it did not happen at three different dealerships there. I called Tapper and Got Mr. Serignes and he took care of it right away. Every detail was covered.. This deal only took about a week from start to finish. I want to thank Tony Serignese for being honest on some of the hard questions I had to ask. He was really concerned that my son would be happy with his new SUV I really love that. He had all the paper work in order and it made the pick up day go very well. Thank you Tony and Tapper for being so proficient.

I bought a 2007 Chevy Cobalt with 43000 miles on it. Tony Serignese was a very knowledgeable and honest sales person who presented numerous varied options in a fair and balanced way and allowed me to make an informed decision. The business office did an excellent job at finding me the lowest possible rate and the best loan. Overall I found the whole experience to be far easier and more transparent then I was expecting. There are a lot of less then scrupulous car dealerships in the world but from my experience John Tapper auto and Tony are a true exception.

We're that family that likes to buy a car and then drive it "forever" so buying the right vehicle is important. We had an idea of what we wanted going in, but really hadn't picked a vehicle. Josh Wright helped us work through the options, provided information when we needed it and allowed us plenty of time to make our decision without pressure. He lined up test drives on three different vehicles and coordinated between both the Chevy and Ford dealerships to get us the SUV's we wanted to test. In the end, we definitely feel that we've made the right choice and have been enjoying our new Traverse very much (the Ford Flex was a close second.) Thanks to Josh and the rest of the Tapper staff for making this a very positive experience!

Steve Nagy went way out of his way to get us the vehicle we wanted! He treated us well and was not "pushy" like some salesmen. He was available to answer questions but was not intrusive. He allowed s to test drive three different vehicles - one of which he brought to us from the "other" Tapper dealership. We were especially impressed that he did not insist on accompanying us while we tested them - unlike the previous salesman who was in our face the whole time. Steve worked hard and did all the "extras" in an extremely professional manner. We would buy from him again.

I called Tapper Auto looking for a used 3/4 ton truck they had in their inventory and was helped by Dave Tapper. What a great guy. He checked it out for me, sent some pictures and assured me it was like new. I bought the truck a 2013 Ford F 250 on Wednesday and Tappers guys had it in my Driveway in Connecticut the very next day. Can't tell this 2013 from a brand new truck. It is beautiful and loaded with options. If you want an honest deal and like to be treated like you are in the family I would say buy at John Tapper Automotive. I will gladly take a ride to Paw Paw for my next vehicle.

I found a car at another dealer but they wouldn't budge on the price. I went to see Marty Rouse at Tapper GMC but I had my doubts, he being an MSU fan and all. But I figured it was worth a try. Not only did he save me $3000 dollars off the other dealers best price, Tapper's financing department saved me a quarter percent on my loan and Marty had the car for me the next day! Marty's a great salesman and I would definitely buy a car from him again!

I bought a 2011 Equinox at the being of Feb. from Steve at your dealership. This was a surprisingly a great deal. I told Steve my whats; AWD, close to 30 mpg, good ground clearance ( I live on a secondary gravel road). Gave him basic info on me, told him I'd return the next day to her the bottom number and take it for a test ride. Your dealership also sot up my financing, getting me the best rate. Brett Smith was our salesperson. We told him what we were looking for and he brought the Travers to my house. My wife and I took it for a drive and loved it. Brett brought the car and the paperwork to us a few days later and we leased the Traverse. We never set foot in the dealership. I don't know where else you can find service like that. Six of my last seven vehicles have been purchased at Tapper's. John Goldberg has been my sales person for the last four. Great guy, no "bait and switch", tells it like it is! I have never left the dealership feeling I paid too much. John also takes all the time needed to explain the features of your vehicle and that is HUGE when you get to be my age!! As for service, all I can say is I am always greeted with a smile and prompt considerate attention. Service at Tapper's is not just a buzzword, it is the real thing! We recently purchased a used vehicle from Terry the sales manager. Although we had scheduled an appointment over the phone, when we arrived at the dealership there was no sales staff to assist us and the vehicle was not washed or cleaned out. The sales manager did step up and gave us the keys and let us drive the car. In the end we purchased the vehicle but the price was not correct on the paper work. The dealership called and sent us a check for the difference in the price we agreed to pay. Low pressure and very honest small town dealership!

I would like to suggest that once a vehicle is advertised online and a salesman is working with a potential customer to make a deposit on the vehicle, that the dealer check with all sales people first and not let anyone else (personal friends or relatives) pull the vehicle off the lot and obtain it out from under the potential buyer.

Fast friendly service. They even called to let me know they'd be closing early due to weather so I didn't waste a trip. It's John Goldberg. He's personable, professional, knowledgeable, and very straight forward to deal with and he always goes the extra mile (sometimes even 400) to get you the vehicle that you really want. John takes care of his customers, before, during, and after the sale. Instead of just getting your signature and tossing you the keys, he'll spend the extra time it takes to make sure you're comfortable with your new vehicle. He even knows what almost all those goofy little symbols on the dash mean... without looking in the book. I could shop around, drive a bunch of miles, and maybe save a couple bucks on a car, but I try to buy locally whenever I can. John is the biggest reason (No, make that the only reason. It's not because of the new building, the car wash, or the brand.) that this is the 3rd vehicle we've bought here, and it probably won't be the last.

This is by far the worst dealership I have ever encountered while trying to buy a car. If you want to get the run around and be told I'll call you tomorrow with an answer by their sales people then this is the place for you, but I don't think that's the kind of service anyone wants. After four days of dealing with this dealership and being told a different story every time we heard from the salesman we were finally told that they vehicle we was looking at had sold, so why jerk us around for four days why not just tell us that in the beginning no in the beginning were told that everything looks like its a go but then all this happens wow what a joke. I would never return to this dealership nor would I recommend this dealership to anyone. Not a very good way to treat customers that's for sure.

I placed a inquiry on another web site that was supposed to send an email to local dealers. Kyle was the first to respond and was the only one to listen to what I wanted. Others tried to "put me in the right car". I went to tapper and met with Kyle he was very friendly and helpful. He told us about the features available on the car, but didn't push them on us like most salespeople. I wanted a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze ls in blue. He didn't have one on the lot but found one for me in less than a day. Tappaer ate the cost of getting it to there dealership and sold me the car a little under MSRP. Kyle is the best car salesman I have ever worked with and I will definately be going back in the future.

Our salesperson Gary went above and beyond to get my wife and I the car we wanted for the right price. In Sept of 2011, we were looking for a Pontiac Vibe or Toyota Matrix but originally stopped at Tapper to check out a Dodge Caliber. This was the only dealership we stopped at that did not have a Vibe or Matrix in stock. After driving the Caliber, we knew it wasn't for us, but Gary asked for what we wanted and told us he would let us know if they found one at auction. Gary checked in with me once during the next week to let us know his progress. We found a Vibe in Battle Creek we thought we wanted at another dealer and Gary happened to call right before we left to make an offer on that car. He had a Vibe coming in on Monday if we were interested. I told him it was too late but I would call him if the deal fell through. Well, the deal did fall through, and I called Gary to let him know we were interested in the car Tapper was bringing in. I knew he would be giving us a good price since he said he would beat the deal they had on the other Vibe. We checked out the Vibe at Tapper on Tuesday and really liked it. I came in that Thursday and worked with Gary to come up with a price that was very fair on the car. I would have liked to have gotten more on my trade-in, but that was my choice to accept their offer, so I can't blame that on them. Working with Gary was a real pleasure. I stopped at a lot of dealers and Gary was the only one that followed up with me and worked with me to get what I wanted. I worked in sales for a while, and that is what a salesperson is supposed to do...work FOR you, not against you. I appriciated his "old school" approach of using the phone and not relying on impersonal e-mails. Could have I found a cheaper price out there? Maybe, but maybe not. However if I did pay a little more, it was worthwhile for the personal service you get at a small town dealer like John Tapper in Paw Paw.

Kyle was very easy to work with and made the selection of my new GMC Terrain fun. I began looking at the Acadias and quickly found that I didn't want to spend that much money. I then began comparing, with Kyle's help, the Equinox and the Terrain and decided on the Terrain. Tappers didn't have the exact car I wanted and Kyle searched and found the exact car. This experience was the best i've had buying a vehicle. What made it the best was the Salesman, Kyle Vanderbeek. Usually, salespeople are very pushy and dishonest. Kyle was very laid back and let me make all the decisions. Kyle worked hard to find the vehicle that I wanted, and he even had to drive to Detroit to get it. I purchased my new Chevy at another dealership that closed one year after the sale. The first time I had my vehicle serviced at Tapper, I knew I would never go anywhere else again. Not only did they treat me and my vehicle as if I'd been a lifelong customer, they went out of their way to make sure everything was done better than just adequately. On one visit they actually corrected a problem created by the previous shop's mistake at almost no charge to me. Their honesty and integrity is something I have never experienced before in a large dealership, and even though there are a lot of Chevy dealers closer to where I live, they are more than worth the drive to get to.

After the untimely death of my previous car in November 2010 I had a decision to make, I am certainly glad I made the decision to work with John Tapper Auto. I had not decided on new or used but with the selection I was able to find a car that fit my needs and one I liked. The sales team did a great job of explaining to me what my options were when choosing and allowed me to get a feel for all of the cars in my favorites list. After trying many vehicles I decided on a 09 Malibu the price was good and the fit was perfect. I am very pleased with my decision. Having purchased a used car I expected the possibility there to be some repairs needed and as expected there was one minor issue with the Bluetooth. However there service team did a great job. I was able to schedule an appointment and they had the problem repaired very quickly. That is the key to good sales, keeping the customer happy even after the sale is complete. Overall my experience with John Tapper was great, I was able to find a car I wanted, and at a price I needed. I got a great deal and I enjoyed the process of buying a car.

Outstanding!! This is the 2nd vehicle that I have bought from Tapper's and wont be the last. No matter who I have dealt with from the receptionist to the owner the service is the same. I don't buy the high end vehicles but I get treated like I do. When I have needed service work they always make sure the they have vehicle that I can use while my vehicle is being serviced. There are several GM dealer closer to were I live but with the service that I receive from John Tapper its worth the extra 30 miles.

I have purchased used vehicles from Tapper in the past and went to them to discuss purchasing my first new, not just new to me, car. Dave was great in showing me the differences between the two vehicles I was interested in and took time to sit down with me to weigh the pro's and cons. I was impressed to find out that Tapper was one of the only dealerships in the area that even had a Terrain for me to test drive when they first came out. The test drive really made up my mind and I am glad that I chose to order my Terrain instead of buying something else off the lot. Dave didn't pressure me either way, and I appreciated all of his help. Marcia was really helpful and helped me find the best financing option and she helped me facilitate a $1000 cashback offer with my insurance company while I was there in her office. AWESOME EXPERIENCE!!! I was looking for a new Chevy Equinox as I had read many reviews on how great of a car it was. I first went to the Kalamazoo Chevy dealer (I live in Portage) and was disapointed in the fact they only had 1 on the lot & tried to get me to buy a used one that they had. So next I drove maybe 12 minutes to Tapper's in Paw Paw and was truly impressed with not only their selection (they had 19 Equinox's to choose from), but also their beautiful new facility and their extremely friendly staff. Everyone there made me feel special & unique - it was quite a change from the dealership that I used to frequent. Did I mention that everything about this experience was AWESOME!?!?! I even received a card that gives me 10 FREE Car Washes! I have recommended Tapper's to almost everyone I know (FACEBOOK - 400+ Friends) and strongly encourage anyone reading this to go visit them if you have any automotive needs.

I was looking for a specific 2500 hd that was completely loaded and there weren't any local at all. Most dealers will look up to 300 miles to find one and kyle found the one I wanted in new york and had it in michigan a day and a half later!! That's service! Not to mention they had installed a plow, tonneau cover and side steps!

I had decided that it was time for me to buy a new (or used) car & had been looking for over a month now checking out different dealers online. Tapper's was at the top of my list and was my first stop on my search for a car. A friend and I walked into the impressive new Tapper store(you have to see this place... it's amazing) and were immediately greeted by sales rep Dave Tapper. He was friendly, personable and incredibly helpful without being the least bit pushy. I described what I was looking for (without being too specific to a manufacturer) and he immediately led me to the Chevy Equinox that would soon be mine! This car was exactly what I was looking for and it was love at first site. I checked out a few other cars, but ended up test driving and then buying a car that I love and that is a perfect fit for me, both personally and financially. From research I had done online, I was worried that it would be a little out of my budget but was pleased to see how well it worked out. While I was there - Dave signed me up for their owner's club, which he explained like a rewards card I use at the grocery store; except, this card already had $$ on it to use towards service & purchasing my next car from them!Everyone we met at Tapper's, from the guy moving the cars around to Marcia (can't remember her last name) in the business office had a smile on their face and looked genuinely happy to be working. It was awesome just getting back from Disney World to find a place with the same feel coming from their employees.I've already recommended Tapper's to one of my best friends and would do the same to anyone who is looking for a top quality vehicle from amazing salespeople in a beautiful, pristine facility.

I used to tell people how good service was at Tapper, but after my most recent experience I see that things have changed there. recently I experienced problems with my '04 Saturn. Since Saturn is now closed I took it to Tappers where we had always taken our Buick. They told me they had a Saturn specialist who would work on it. The problem I had was the car was not starting. I suspected something in the charging system or ignition, but when they finaly got around to looking at the car several days later, I was told that I had a bad starter and "other issues" which would be in excess of 15,000.00 to fix. When I asked about the "other issues" I was first told that I needed to replace the water pump and some gaskets as well as the starter. After a conversation with the tec who worked on the car he told me that he really didn't think the water pump was a problem, but that it would be easy to replace "while they were in there". He did feel however that the starter was my problem. I told them to go ahead and replace the starter, which they did, at a cost of over 600.00 dollars. I thought the price was pretty high, but if it had fixed the problem I would not be writing this. Trouble is, less than two weeks later I have the same problem. My car refused to start and I was broke down 40 miles from home. I opened the trunk and pulled up the flooring in the trunk space to expose the battery compartment and found my battery sitting in 2 to 3 inches of water and the battery cables submerged in this mess. When I called to ask for Tappers to pick up the car and look at it Randy (in the Service Department) put me through to Mister Tapper.Mr. Tapper told me that he was sure that his tec got it right and that the submerged battery cable could not be my problem.(This without seeing the car.) When I asked if his tec had inspected the battery he told me that it was not nessisary as he could get all of the information he needed from "under the hood". I told Mr. Tapper that I thought he should schedule a tow truck to pick up my car and fix what they had failed to fix the first time and he said that all of his trucks were "on the other side of the state". I went back to my car, pulled out the battery , sopped up the water from the batery compartment and dried off the wet cables. I then put the battery back in and it started right up. I now have to find a new mecanic to fix the real problem. It's posible that the starter really was bad, but it seems likely at this point that the wet wiring was a contributing factor if not the whole problem. The fact that Mr. Tapper would not even bring the car in and look at it after carging me over 600.00 dollars to repair this problem less than two weeks before is a real disapointment to me. I don't plan to return there for service or to purchase a car.

I have purchased multiple vehicles from Tapper Automotive. While no new vehicle is ever perfect buying from Tapper would not let you know it. They have been outstanding from Sales to service after the sale. They have always been very fast to take care of our needs and always follow up to make sure everthing is right and I am happy. I have only had the need to use their body shop a couple of times but I have had the same high quality experience with them also. I am located about 20 Miles from Tapper but they have always been worth the distance and then some. I greatly appreciate the service and value Tapper Automotive has provided me over the years. I now live in Colorado and still buy from Tapper's. The same great core staff that I've befriended over the years is always a pleasure to deal with. I have been purchasing vehicles from Tapper's for the last 16 years and truly do feel as though I am part of the family. It is so nice going to a dealership and knowing everyone's name & having them know my name! I have dealt with the same people the entire time I have been a customer of theirs. I have been into other dealerships where the person I talked to the previous month no longer works there - this has never happened to me at Tapper's. They have earned me and my family as customers for life and I would obviously recommend this dealership! Great service & great people! Keep it up!
