Purchased an Evoque that was sold to me as new (it had been a service loaner, I knew it had 1,000 miles on it) two years ago. The sales people were nice and overall it went really well...or so I thought. Fast forward forward and a couple weeks ago and I tried to trade the car in. I was told by a different dealer that the car had been in a major accident and was worth $5,000 less than it normally would be. I had never been in an accident with it but come to find the car had been in a major accident when it was a loaner car. I called Land Rover Glen Cove in hopes that they would rectify this and long story short they most certainly did not. They tried to ignore me, they didn't return emails and phone calls. After a week of trying and several calls the dealer finally made me a trade in offer... for less than the lowest trade in valuation on KBB. I got the General Manager on the phone and she never apologized, she said the original sales person probably never knew about the accident which is laughable. She only offered an additional $500 to match the absolute lowest trade in valuation, still $2,500 less than what the car is worth on KBB and $3,000 less what I owe on it. Honestly if they would just have given me a fair trade in, at this point I would accept it, let alone actually do the right thing by a customer whom they sold a new car that had been crashed. I'm sure most people at the dealer are good people but I just got treated like a number, a profit margin and not a real person, let alone how anyone would expect to be treated at a luxury car dealer. I've had better experiences at Honda. I really liked my car but I'm sad to say that this ruins me from ever purchasing a Range Rover again (let alone Land Rover Glen Cove), since this is how they treat their customers.

Repairs and service handled VERY professionally; service managed in a friendly and courteous manner by Paul Karekinian who is a good communicator of the issues involved in each service. Loaner cars are provided when promised. My only qualification relates to the consistently high prices for serving my car, which is no longer under warranty.

After 2 recent visits to this dealership to purchase a Range Rover Sport the first visit was great the second visit was an experience like walking into Major World L.I.C. The manager was cursing and being very loud in front of customers I was taken by surprise, thought Land Rover was high end. On the good end My salesman was great (Ken) did the best he could to help. Unfortunately another Land Rover dealership won my business with a better deal amazing they couldnt match it.

I've had interest in owning a Range Rover Sport for years but a new one was more than I wanted to spend. Fortunately, no rush as i owned my Acura RDX which would be used as trade-in. I do believe my experience with your gentleman from road side asset., truly describes the great experience I had with Land Rover. Left with a flat tire at North Shore Hospital in Manhasset at night in the freezing cold; no one would help me change a tire, Not even the Hospital Security People, NOT EVEN a 6th Precinct police officer who came after one hour and told me it was too cold and he didn't want to get dirty and" lady don't you have someone else to to call like your husband??" I said sure I would, but he is in this hospital dying of Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma and Advanced Parkinson's Disease. Sure I would love to call him and have him come down and help me!!" I have been a loyal Range Rover customer since 1996! I recommend this truck to everyone I meet. Keep up the good work & "let's work hard to get better gas mileage!!!" It's a good thing! CK

I had an amazing experience with glen cove land rover. I booked an appt the evening before and was taken care of the very next day 7:30'am. They worked on my car and serviced it immediately as I had to wait there abbe cause I came from Brooklyn. The waiting area was extremely comfortable with fresh bagels and coffee. My service rep was phenomenal and took care of everything. He took the time to explain everything clearly and took care of reprogramming my key no problem or questions at all. They checked my car for issues and again clearly explained what was done and when my next service would be and when my part would be in for repair. The service manager Anthony Caligione is a class act . I know him from my previous dealer ship in manhattan. He came over to check in with me and to see if there was anything he could do to make my stay there easier. He also made sure that the repairs and service were double checked. He's an amazing addition to glen cove. They are lucky to have him.

Land Rover dealers on Long Island are all owned by the same family. They absolutely are the worst. Go to Prestiege in NJ for a real deal. As an example of how bad Land Rover on Long Island is and why you should not go there. A 2nd key had to be ordered when we got our new land rover. We paid cash and we own the vehicle. The 2nd key was sent to us by mail so we have it but there is no code on it so it needs to be programmed. Long Island Dealers, Glen Cove, Dawn Cames wants to charge me $127.00 to program a key Land Rover had to deliver with the car. Jersey does it for FREE as all dealers are supposed to.

i JUST PURCHASED MY RANGE ROVER HSE AND 4MONTHS WITH HAVING IT I RECEIVED AN EMAIL THAT SERVICE WAS NEEDED WHICH I FOUND ODD DUE TO EVERYTHING SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE. I TAKE THE VEHICLE IN FOR THE SERVICE AND NO ONE AT THE DEALERSHIP EXPLAINED ANYTHING TO ME. THE CAR WAS DONE AND THOSE HOUNDS ASKED FOR A $600 BILL. (UNBELIEVABLE) THAT WAS TIME 1.... NOW HERE IS THE MOST RECENT.. 8/10/14 I TOOK THE VEHICLE IN FOR A STATE INSPECTION 30-45MIN JOB. THEY TOOK 4 HOURS AND 12 MIN TO COMPLETE THAT JOB AND DIDNT PROVIDE ME WITH MY COURTESY WASH AND MADE ME LATE FOR WORK. MALFUNCTION EQUIPMENT SHOULDVE BEEN EXPLAINED PRIOR TO WORK BEING PERFORMED OR A LOANER SHOULDVE BEEN OFFERED...ALL THAT MONEY FOR THESE VEHICLES AND ITS UNPROFESSIONALISM....SKIP EM ALL DONT BUY

This is my first LR2 and love it. Only one problem - the A/C started to blow warm air, the service department quickly took care of problem and while it was in the shop I had a loaner. Been back for only routine service and I have gotten great professional service and a loaner every time.Already looking to buy another Land Rover. So happy with my LR2, that I will be passing it down to my teenage daughter next year.

Land Rover is Horrible! I have personally only dealt with land rover of glen cove, and Land Rovers corporate head courters. But what i can tell you is that all the talk you always hear about land rovers breaking down OFTEN and not being reliable is VERY true. The company itself also does not stand behind their cars. I myself own a Range Rover Sport Autobiography edition. (MY VEHICLE WAS IN THE LAND ROVER GLEN COVE SHOP FOR A TOTAL OF OVER 100 DAYS OVER A 3 YEAR LEASE, which is about 1/10th of the total time. For a $100,000 car, thats about $10,000 i have lost out on by the vehicle being in the shop) Since i have had the car (2011 brand new) the suspension has had numerous issues and had to go into the shop. Sometimes only weeks after getting back out of the shop. The transmission also has been having problems for the past 2 years, yet land rover cant seem to find the problem, so that is still ongoing. Had a problem where something in my engine was loudly knocking the entire time i would drive, and i was told i would have to wait two weeks for them to have room for me to bring in the car. I argued and they allowed me to bring it within a day or so. Even had an issue where once when i picked up my vehicle from land rovers service, my sunroof wouldn't open. We found out this was because my roof got dented while being in land rovers shop. At first land rover refused to fix the damages until the BBB got involved. My point here is, if you decide to buy a land rover, be prepared for all the extra expenses you will incur as they overcharge you EXTREMELY on every service or anything done to the car. Also be prepared to get one of the many FAULTY CARS land rover sells people and have to bring it back in for repairs constantly (in which case you will probably wind up driving around in a loaner car (if they even give you one at all) for a decent amount of the time you own/lease the vehicle, worth much less then the car you are paying for. Oh and most of all, be prepared to NOT BE a "valued customer". I clearly am not considering they still have me in a vehicle that constantly breaks down and won't do anything about it. Horrible company with a horrible customer satisfaction.

I just wanted to share my experience while being a Land Rover Long Island? (glen cove) customer (range rover autobiography owner) over the past 3 years..First off let me start by saying, they are the WORST dealership that I have ever had to deal with. There have been numerous times where my car has gone into service and come out with NEW DAMAGE on it, including one time where they were refusing to fix the damage till corporate got involved and I had left some reviews on the web like this one.. Ive had my rims damaged by land rover, my roof dented, other parts of the car scratched or dented.. Its ridiculous. The car has also broken down numerous times a year and had to be brought into service for long periods of time.. Mostly for the suspension which has happened multiple times, sometimes even only a few weeks after getting it back!My main problem right now is that I bought a $100,000 car from you guys (which you guys promised to provide me with excellent quality and service) and id think that out of courtesy you guys would supply me with one of your nicer vehicles instead of giving me your lowest model.... It's just a shame that i spend so much with you guys on a big car I bought (which wont happen again) and when I bring it in for service you guys cant even get me a car of the same size and close quality.. I will be sure to continue posting my experience elsewhere to make sure others know of the many problems i have and am still encountering with land rover glen cove.,Adam Shapiro

Some items apparently missed from the prior service (several fluids very low & some hoses in bad shape) + possibly some new items. Customer service (Steve Mangat) was very helpful in getting me a loaner car and getting the work required in a timely manner. I was not expecting such a high bill for the services rendered, especially since it was on top of and in addition to an even higher bill for service work done only a few weeks prior, when a thorough and complete service diagnosis was supposed to have been done on my car.

When you bring your car in for repairs , prepare to spend a lot! They are excellent at making a $300 service turn into $2,000 service. They are experts at telling the common joe that range rovers are much different than every other car. Therefore what you think things cost for a regular car. That needs to be triple! I really try to avoid this dealer for the little things because is no such thing as an inexpensive service here.

I had a service appointment for I thought Wednesday, April 9, 2014 and I called the service dept. at around 9:00AM on Tuesday, April8th to verify my appointment and Sheena answered the phone and informed me that my appointment was for April 8th at 7:30AM and I was in error . I apologized and asked if I could make another appointment . Sheena responded with " don't worry Mr Quadrozzi, we understand if you have the time today bring the car in and we will take care of you". I had an employee drop me off at a meeting an then bring the car to Glen Cove to have the service preformed. At about 4:30 PM I received a call from Sheena informing me that I needed a oil pan due to the fact that the drain plug was stripped and asked for the autheization to change the pan and I said okay. Again sheena came to my aid when i informed her of still another problem, I told her of my dilemma of having my employee stranded in Glen Cove and myself stranded in Hempstead at the RXR Plaza and Sheena handelded the situation, she worked out getting a copy of my drivers license via photo and email, took care of my employee and some how furnished us wit a loaner even though I had not reserved one, she did all of this at the end of the day when most places would have taken the easy way out and said that there was nothing thy could do. This again proves to me that Land Rover of Glen Cove has the client in mind at all times

Nightmare of a place. What a rip off! Went in for service (warranty work). Said electronics has soda spilled, charges 1k to clean it. Said problem was fixed (Air Suspension was freezing for days). Next day same problem. Went back, fixed under warranty, I said WTF about the 1k, said oh well basically. Left, AGAIN, yes AGAIN, the problem arose after a day, went back for a THRID time for the SAME problem, after paying $1,000. FINALLY it was fixed. I live in Brooklyn, and the Manhattan dealership has a long wait list for warranty work. Buy a Cayenne instead. My buddy got one and I'm jealous. Seriously first and last Range Rover Sport for me. Not a unique experience from what I understand. Haven't been back since. You don't have to have the dealership do warranty word, any body-shop can do it also. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
