I went to Luther Mazda on Memorial Day with the intention of starting the shopping around routine. The man I was introduced to was Chad Walczak and I knew I would be buying a vehicle from him almost immediately. He was very personable and he made me feel like he really wanted to be there on a major holiday. Long story short, I bought a dressed up Mazda 3 after a test ride in a Mazda6 and Mazda3. To me, the Mazda3 felt more like a sports car and I am very happy with that and the personal attention I received from Chad. He treated me like I was purchasing a high end vehicle.The enthusiasm he displayed was awesome.

Charlie had been an amazing General Manager and he takes care of all the customers by providing great service and ensures that everyone in the showroom does the same. Mike Davis had been very nice, courteous sales man and understands customers' needs and provides best service. Support provided by Mike Zowhgi was very good. He was always there to look into all the queries. All these people went out of their way to help us deciding upon a car to buy. They were kind enough to let us take the car for an inspection by an external mechanic. We had a tough time deciding upon the car to purchase but they were patient and extremely cooperative. Finance team members Kellie and Dan were very quick in moving paper work really fast.

After numerous poor car buying experiences in the past, I once again walked into a new dealership in hopes of finding not only the right vehicle, but a team of people I could trust both during the buying process and the years after. Luther Brookdale proved to be that dealership! On a busy Saturday, I was greeted, welcomed and listened to as I filled Ashlee, my sales representative, in on my current car situation and what I was both looking and hoping for in a new vehicle. She not only was receptive to what I was saying, but asked questions, gave opinions and guidance, and truly wanted to make sure I left that day with exactly what I needed. A few hours later, I had traded in my old vehicle, leased the car I had researched and desired, and left not only a happy customer but a now committed client to the dealership and to Ashlee. As someone who has been extremely disappointed in the past at other dealerships, I can not speak highly enough of the team at Luther and of Ashlee. The follow up after purchase was much appreciated and I look forward to doing continued business with Ashlee.

I went to Luther Brookdale Maza Mitsubishi with the intention of getting a better understanding on what it would take for me to purchase a new Outlander. I had no intention of actually making the decision to purchase that day... Halloween to be exact. After the test drive, discussion, research, popcorn, sing along, etc. we had found the perfect Outlander that was ironically a pumpkin color... (Copper) seemed all to perfect. I was determined to not purchase a vehicle that day though.... so I told Josh I would be back on Monday to make my final decision. On my way out of the dealership I was made another offer... good for that day only... and was reminded that they closed a bit later, so I still had time.... I was true to myself and drove away from the dealership, know that I would be back on Monday and would make the decision. I got a couple of blocks away and pulled onto a side street. I decided that everything was just too perfect and it was silly to wait until Monday... so I turned around and put money down on my new pumpkin car! Everyone was so good to me and the experience was fantastic. I would recommend this dealership to anyone.

I bought my first car from Carhop as an only option (which I will never ever ever refer anyone to). I was in desperate need of a new car while being turned down every where for not enough credit. i decided to try Luther because I loved the way they ran their garage. I dealt with Josh through the whole process. He was immediate to help me, was very detailed in paying attention to my needs in a vehicle and my need payment wise. Everyone at Luther worked very hard to get me in a vehicle that day but with no luck. I figured it would end there but to my surprise the next evening Josh was in contact with me to verify my requirements of a vehicle and emailed me a few options. The next day I walked in, spent a couple of hours and left with my 2013 Kia Soul. Everyone went above and beyond to get me in a vehicle that worked for me as well as was within my payment range. Josh made me feel 100% comfortable and made the 1st dealership e perience a great one. I have had a few problems and questions (none of which where Luther's fault) and everyone jumped through hoops to get everything taken care of for me instead of me stressing and fumbling my way through it when it comes time for me to upgrade, Josh will be the first person I go to.

I have a preference for only manual vehicles, and was loooking to trade in my car for a new manual vehicle. Since Mazda is the only car maker that really still embraces manual transmission across all models, I decided to check them out. As I live four hours away from Brookdale, the sales team had a bit of a challenge. Eric Palmer was amazing in setting everything up, answering questions, and fitting a test drive and trade in eval into the smallest time frame possible with all my traveling. Pricing is competitive, and unlike many places, straight forward. Eric Palmer even stayed past close to ensure I understood all the features in my car! The fact that I went from inquiring to traveling and ultimately purchasing my Mazda6 I touring 6 speed in just over a day didn't gaze this dream team!

Finding, reserving, and buying a car from this business was far and away the best purchase I have had. My car had died unexpectedly, and I located the vehicle I wanted to buy here with online shopping at the carsguru site. I e-mailed and called to learn about the car, and then I made a small deposit to hold it while I organized a ride to the site. I finally returned to complete the transaction after the Finance Manager set up a suitable loan--it was a protracted buying experience. All contacts--from the initial e-mail inquiry on through to the transaction were polite and professional. Online auto information for the history and current condition was complete and accurate. I had two test drives to gain familiarity and to see the car was as represented. The financial application was completed online, and I had good and complete communication via e-mail as well as telephone. The actual sales transaction--more complex than I remembered from before--was completed in person and answered any remaining questions. I particularly want to call out Chad Walczak (sales) and Dan Nelson (finance) for their efforts. It is obvious that they are good people to deal with, and I would particularly recommend either of them. The Luther automobile businesses provide good support for them, and any buyer should receive the service I had.

I'm not normally a loyal dealership person. My family has owned independent autobody companies all of my life in southern Minnesota and now in Iowa, so I lean toward the independents. However, I first went to Brookdale Mitsubishi/Mazda a couple of years ago to get a new key made for my Mitsubishi Galant. While I was waiting for Service to program my new key, I decided to look at a few SUVs. I wanted a taller vehicle with some room to haul things when I needed to. I left the dealership in a pearl white Mazda CX-7. Got it for a very fair price and they gave me much more than I imagined I would get on trading in my Galant. I've been a loyal customer ever since. They are always honest, with no pressure - a winning combination for me. I just had 4 new tires put on and a wheel alignment. I paid about $100 more than I would have at Discount Tire, but knowing the quality of the tires was better and that the installation and alignment would be done right, it was MORE than worth it!

I bought my bright blue Mazda 6 sport from Luther in 2005. My car is nearly 10 years old and I've had minimal issues with it at all. A few years after I bought the car, they noticed during a routine maintenance check something looked off with a tire part and replaced it at no charge. While the sales portion of my Mazda experience went smoothly, it is Paul and Tim from the Mazda service center that make me a loyal customer. I take my car there for every oil change/preventive maintenance and have received exceptional service every time.

I recently brought my Gallant in for servicing. While I was there I asked them to check, what I thought was a loose or warn hose clamp on the radiator return hose. It turned out that I had a crack radiator. Service was able to find a replacement radiator but they thought that it would be a week before they could do the replacement. It turned out that they were able to handle in a couple of days. That's the type of service that I've come to expect from Luther over the past twelve years that I've owned this car. Also, I can't say enough about the quality of the 2002 Gallant. Over the years that I've had it it was parked outside and it never failed to start for me no matter what the weather has been. During the past few years I haven't really driven that many miles as I've still got only about 72,000 miles on it but this is, what I would call, the first major replacement that I've had during all of these years. I'm sorry Mitsubishi but I have no need for a newer car as this one will continue to serve me for years to come.

Very pleasurable experience with all phases of Luther Mazda. From Paul Schwegerman (spelling?) in service to Mike Davis in sales, to Dan Nelson in finance. I had a 2001 Mazda Tribute in for service as a result of an engine fire. Paul was very up front and honest with their assessment of the damage. After my insurance company decided they were not going to pay for damages Paul put me in touch with Mike in Sales and I left the following day with a 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander. The whole buying experience was painless and Dan in finance expedited the paper work and I was driving off the lot in less than 2 hours. Thanks as it was a stressful time with the insurance co. and your staff took the sting out of the experience.

I was a first-time car buyer. I had done a lot of research on different cars and set aside a Saturday to test drive all of them to determine my favorite and make a purchase shortly thereafter. Luther Mazda/Mitsubishi was the first dealership I went to because I wanted to look at the Mazda 3. I told the salesman my plan for the day. We looked at the different trims of the Mazda 3, took a test drive, and he gave me some info on the dealership and a few after-market packages they do. Once that was done, he asked me if I had any other questions before he sent me on my way to continue with my list of test drives - no pressure to make a decision right away. He actually wanted me to finish my list so I was making an informed decision, and I really appreciated that. After test driving all my cars, the Mazda 3 was my favorite so I gave him a call so we could look at the different trims again. Overall, a very pleasant transaction

We bought a Mitsubishi Outlander Sport and have been very pleased with it thus far! The salesman and business manager were great to work with. The used car appraiser was very fair with us. I have bought lots of cars in my life. I hate it when I feel like I am being taken advantage of, or too stupid to understand pricing of cars. I have learned to walk away from dealers like that. I did NOT feel this way at all at Luther's Mitsubishi. I really believe I got a super deal with a quality product! I went in with my NADA and Kelly Blue books figures and Luther was very fair regarding my trade-in. I would go back and do business again with them again.

We came in late on a Friday not realizing that the dealer closes at 6pm. We had a chance to test drive a 2014 Lancer and came back the next morning to test drive another car before making a decision. We settled on the brand new Lancer ES over the original plan of a used car without pressure from the salesman, Chad. He was straightforward and honest with us and spoke to me as the buyer/driver as opposed to only addressing my husband. Randy and I got off to rough start because i can be a little difficult. I had done my research and new what i wanted but wasn't sure if i would like the car so i wanted a test drive and nothing else. Randy was very accomodating, he remained calm, never applied any pressure and the rest of the process was so easy that it almost felt like stealing. Everything was stress free except for me looking at my budget and making the call to order the car in blue. My daughter and I came to Luther to test drive a used car that ultimately was not a good fit. It wasn't a Luther-specific issue - we hadn't been able to find anything anywhere that met our criteria. We were discouraged with the selection of cars within our price range, and were on a very tight time frame to find a car! This was our second time in the car buying process in a matter of weeks, as we had just been badly taken advantage of in a sale with a private seller. We wanted to do everything right this time, and find a car we could count on. Chad Walczak did not know our history with the other car, but he did know that there was a car on the lot just right for my college age daughter. He recommended we consider a slightly higher price range, and while that was a hard decision to make, it allowed us to drive away with a car that is safe, economical, fun, reliable, and whose entire maintenance history was done at the dealership from its very first mile. Peace of mind in the shape of a Mitsubishi Outlander. I am thankful for Chad's authentic manner. He listens, deals straight, and respects the customer and the business he's in. He has fun doing his job. My daughter is a first time car buyer, and he didn't patronize her. He taught her a few things she needed to know, and let her ask questions. Dan Nelson in finance deserves a mention as well. He was the nicest person I have ever encountered across the desk in a car buying transaction! I didn't feel pressured or pushed to add anything extra. Again, the word authentic comes to mind. Thanks for a great experience. This is my fifth car with a Mitsubishi engine. All four of the previous ones went over 260,000 miles. The one I'm still driving now, 2001 Mirage, has 330,000 miles and still going strong. With all the exceptional reliance, low mileage and low repair costs, when it came to buying another vehicle, how could I do anything else but buy another Mitsubishi. This is no joke. I own three Mazdas- the last two purchased from this dealer. So, when I decided to buy a 2014 Mazda6, I came here first. I am a little picky on exactly what car i want, but we agreed on a price, and I drove 2 hours to pick up the car. Not there. The one they were going to sell me had hail damage. No problem, I can wait a bit. I was supposed to hear from them the following Monday about two possibilities. Since I didn't get a call, I called on Wednesday to find out they couldn't get them. I was then told of another possibility- should hear by next Tuesday. No call. I called on Thursday- no answer. Same thing on Friday. I called the Sales Manager on Saturday, who made excuses for the Salesperson and told me to go buy from another dealer. Of course, by then, the Mazda incentives had disappeared. I don't know if I'm even going to buy a Mazda now, but you can bet that if I do, it will never again be from Luther. I still have a hard time believing that they would treat a customer this way.

Bought my 2011 Mazda 3 from Luther Brookdale Mazda last weekend. Price was reasonable though it was no-haggle. The dealer got my car all detailed and the interior looked pretty close to brand new when I took delivery of it yesterday.

The dealership is real solid, nothing to complain about. I bought a Mazda 3, 2005 manual sedan with 58,000 miles on it and it sounded like it was a corporate car originally and then brought in to upgrade. I've had it for 2 weeks now and thus far it's great. Everything I had hoped for. To address a few of the complaints I've heard about the model, the wheels seem to be totally fine thus far and it handles potholes well. I'm guessing the people who have complained about this may have just needed to get their suspension checked. No signs of rust other than what's natural on the underside and the rotors and it didn't look like there were any spots of touch-up. Otherwise it runs great, it's nice and quiet, the notion that it is made cheap and you can hear the road/it's too noisy is overblown IMO, and I think it's roomier than expected. Then again, I owned a Jetta before it and that was even smaller. I got the 2.3 Liter but I don't think it's very relevant compared to the 2 Liter. They felt about the same from what I test drove. I would definitely recommend it for young buyers or look into a Subaru Legacy or WRX or even a Corolla.

I had an excellent purchasing experience with the good folks at Brookdale Mazda the week of 3/25/2013, including Chad Walczak in new car sales, Dan Nelson in finance, and General Manager Gary Peterson. These three gentlemen were friendly, informative, efficient and made the entire experience a painless, low key affair. This wasn't the first time I've purchased from Brookdale Mazda and it won't be my last due solely to these three guys. Chad was able to get me into a vehicle I didn't think I could afford (2014 Mazda 6 Touring) all the while maintaining my original budget with some creative alternatives based on an old used car trade-in I had. Chad's knowledge of the product and love of working with people (and cars) showed, and there were no high pressure tactics involved (how refreshing)! Gary's small town roots and friendly manner and sense of humor made me feel right at home and we shared a few laughs together. Dan in finance was a "good guy next door" kind of neighborly guy who made the whole contractual paperwork process short and painless (under an hour) with no high pressure "close the sale" tactics or add-on recommendations whatsoever (although he detailed various options for me at my request)! He even double checked the final numbers for me without me asking him to. It was like these guys threw away the traditional "how to run a dealership" book and actually decided to cater to the needs of their customers, what a refreshing concept. They genuinely worked great together as a team (one could tell they'd been together for a while) and worked hard to earn and keep my business. All were car enthusiasts too, which was important to me. This dealership was a bit out of the way for me but it was worth driving the extra 15 miles or so just to deal with what felt like a small town community dealership in the middle of a large city. Post sale add-ons are good too, what with the free oil changes and gas and car wash discounts. Kudos to these three guys for a job truly well done in an industry rife with a reputation for high pressure sales tactics. This experience was as "low pressure" and fun as the car buying experience should and can be these days. Last, their service department has a ton of experience and is one of the best Mazda service departments in the upper midwest based on my own experiences and from what I've heard elsewhere.

Bye bye Morrie's. Hello Luther. I had never been to Luther Brookdale Mazda Mitsubishi as it isnt on my beaten path, however they made it well worth my while by exceeding my expectations. Not only did they give me a great price on my trade, they were also good to work with in my quest to purchase a new CX-5. Eric Palmer had responded to my e-mail inquiry by contrasting the 2013 vs. 2014 models he had on the lot. I selected the one that best fit my needs and he had the car warmed up and ready to test drive when I arrived on that cold Saturday morning. He was great to work with. No high-pressure sales, just extremely informative about his product which helped me finalize my purchase decision. I value the experience I had at Luther Brookdale Mazda Mitsubishi and would highly recommend them. They are a no frills dealership, but more importantly they earned my trust. Everyone at Luther Brookdale are friendly especially Tim Sabler the service team. I have been bringing my vehicles to Luther now for a quite a few years. What I really like about their services is they keep you up to date as your service progresses. And one recent oil change service I had they saved me a lot of expensive egine service by diagnossing a problem before it became a much bigger issue with my CX-7. My check engine light went on so I took my 2009 CX-7 to the dealer. I didn't have an appointment but Tim took the time to listen to me explain what happened. Tim then went and got a tech. who put the diagnostic machine on my car to find out the code. They found the problem right away. It was an O2 sensor. They had the part in stock and fixed it right away, I had my car back in a couple of hours. Paul the service manager even remembered that I had an extended warranty so the repair didn't cost me anything. When Tim came to get me to tell me that my car was ready, they had washed it by hand. I don't take my Mazda any place but here. Tim, Paul and the rest of the guys have always treated me with respect and explained what was wrong and being repaired on my car.

I went to Luther Brookdale to buy a set of tires and have them installed. On my way home (not even an hour after I left the shop), one of the tires went flat due to how it was installed. I was told to put on the spare and come in the next day. they had plenty tires of that model and would help me out. First, let me sya that it is January in Minnesota, so finding a warm, dry place to change the tire to the spare is no easy feat. Next after spending over an hour, the tire wouldn't come off. They bent the rim when they installed it, so I had to take it to National Tire and Battery for them to take the defective tire off (and pay to have them do so). I then went the next day and Luther is out of the tires! Please keep inmind, I had to drive almost 45 minutes to their dealership from where I live. So basically, when I had called the day before, the person never really checked and just said they were in stock. They now have to order the tire and I now have to make a third trip to the dealership. Last, I was not given any sort of discount for the inconvience or poor serivce.

I went in for a regular service appointment (oil change+inspection). This took almost 3 hours. A few days later, I called back after noticing a flat tire. The technician informed me that I had a bent rim. The price they quoted to repair it was at least twice as much as what it took for me to REPLACE with a new rim and have it installed at a local tire shop. Expensive and inefficient...avoid their service department if you can.

I rarely ever write reviews but after waiting a few days and receiving no responds from Luther Brookdale Mazda Mitsubishi regarding my complaints, I am forced to write one. The left rare light on my 2007 Mitsubishi Gallant stopped working; initially I thought it was the bulb so I changed it. The rare left light worked for a few days and again stopped suddenly, and then the front light went out. I brought my car to Luther Brookdale Mazda Mitsubishi. I paid for a rental/loaner because the car had to stay. After several hours I was told the problems were discovered and the issues were repaired, and I should pick up my car. I arrived at the Service Center, paid for the service and went to my car, started the car, drum rolls please!!!! The lights did not work; it did not even come on. So how does one get a call from a dealership/Service Center telling you your car is ready only to find that it was never repaired? Especially something as visible as a light, anyone could have seen that it never came on; BUT they handed me the keys anyway. I was informed that the wrong lights was worked on or was reported as broken. I waited while a technician came out with tools and started to work on the lights, discovered that it had the same broken lamp and needed replacement. Even though the lights was fixed and I was late for class, I soon discovered that the replacement bulb has a different color, and now one of the tail blinker is white and the other is yellow. This car has only 29000 miles! I brought my car to the dealership specifically to avoid this problem; I wanted the exact part, same as the manufacturer so that all is in place. I sent the service tech, Rick G. an email message and I also left him a detail phone message but he did not respond to either one of them. I have experienced similar incident at Luther Brookdale Mazda Mitsubishi, when my car made a certain noise, brought it in and was told it was fixed only to discover the problem was even worse than when I had brought it in. I returned the car and discovered it was never driven, so the technician never heard the noise. This time they drove it and confirmed that there was a problem, and replaced both front rotors. I usually do not make a big deal, but Rick never returned my call, and I find it shocking and disturbing that a Service Center which has posters on the wall claiming they are "Award Winning Service" will not notice a light was not working; or drove the car to hear the noise. I left Rick my message about 4 days ago and sent him an email, enough time to respond. Now I drive around with different colored lights. In the interest of fairness, a guy named Paul and another named Tim were very friendly and concern but because I was assigned to Rick, I decided to complain to him. Thanks for Reading. Patrick

My check engine light came on this weekend so on Tuesday I pulled into the dealership to have it checked out. I didn't have a appt. but they took my car in anyway. I was told that it was an EGR valve that needed to be replaced. The guys repaired my car right away and I was back on the road in a couple of hours. Tim always goes above and beyond. Paul was great to find out that my car was covered under the extended warranty so my repair cost me $3.23. I would tell everyone to go visit Brooklyn Park Mazda they treat you like family.

Shopping for a car is NEVER a fun experience. It's time, money, and other resources. However when the time comes to buy a new car one can only hope that the customer service experience is something that can be somewhat enjoyable. Luther Brookdale Mazda was not my first place to go. However it was close and I needed to test drive cars to see if there " might" be something that I wanted to explore. Test driving was not a problem, did not feel that the sales person was pushy..yet it wasn't the best customer service either. The sales person went on some personal tangent about how they have been at the dealership ya da ya da years.. sold this many cars.. ya da ya really DID not ask right off the bat WHAT I wanted. Plus as a women, he shook my boyfriends hand FIRST. Not mine when I was the one buying the car. I could go on my own tangent like the sales guy,but push came to shove for me and the car is what sold me NOT the dealership or the sales guy. I needed a car, I did my research, I was an informed consumer. I did not feel at all that the sales guy really wanted to help me, seemed so fake and unnatural. I did buy a car from the dealership I went in at 4:00 on a Saturday thinking that it wouldn't TAKE until they shut the lights off on me to get my car. I felt rushed, my car wasn't even cleaned for me, PLUS the finance lady forgot somethings on my application that I HAD to follow up with my loaner on my own time. I like my car, but won't do business with this dealership again.

I worked with Paul and Tim. I had the use of a rental car when I found out that my front rotors were worped, battery low on amps, a defective bulb and needing a transmission fluid change. Tim was detailed in explaining my optins with resurfacing or replacing the rotors. I had not planned on spending this much and Tim was able to use my 10% coupon on this repair. I was very pleased with the repairs and my car washed and ready for pick-up at 3:00 pm. Great service and really completed the little things that made a difference. I will deffinately be back again. We live about an hour south of Brookdale Mazda and did our sale over the phone. Salesperson Duane Thompson was knowledgeable about the Mazda3 and gave us unscripted answers to our questions. (This made for fewer questions!)We then hopped in our car and drove to Brookdale Mazda to test drive the car. The entire process was an enjoyable experience. For the first time in 30 years of purchasing a car, I drove off the lot with my new car and DID NOT feel like I had been "taken advantage." Thank you for a great experience.

My 1990 Galant, with 230,000 miles under the hood, just needed some diagnostic work to find out why I was spilling a bit of gas when filling the tank. It was quickly diagnosed and just as quickly fixed. The service is always friendly and very professional. I've been taking my car here for many years now, and I think the mileage is a testament to the good service I've been getting.

I've taken my car to Luther twice in the last 6 months and they treated with great hospitality each visit. My recent visit, I somehow had some type of adhesive on my car and they took there time and got it off without me even asking. I will be taking my care there for all its service needs.

Just had the 50,000 mile service done on my Mazda 6. The Customer Service department made sure that I was not charged for things like oil change, tires rotated, etc. They reviewed the bill with me to explain what was done and the overall condition of the car. Then it was washed and ready for me to drive.

I have taken my CX7 to this dealer since I bought it from them new back in 2008. The staff are always courteous and helpful and the facilities are great The service today was completed in about 30 minutes and, as normal, the car was washed afterwards. I will continue to take my car to this dealer

Every time I go to Luther Brookdale Mitsubishi it is a pleasant experience. When I bring my car in for routine service, the staff is always very helpful and they never pressure me to spend more than I need to. They are honest about what needs to be done and what doesn't. They also make sure that I understand the services and why they need to be done. They've always made things simple and hassle free for me, for example, putting my new windshield wiper blades on for me even though I'm capable of figuring it out. When I leave, my car is always washed and ready to go. What impressed me most is when I drove up and got out of the car they knew my name and what my appointment was for; I didn't have to explain the situation or wonder if they knew what needed to be done with my car.

Took my car in for the 45,000 mile service. Transmission fluid change, oil change, tires rotated, etc. Everything done in 1 1/2 hours and at a reasonable price. I will buy my third car from this dealership mainly due to the service department.

The Consultant (Chad) was friendly, professional and laid back.
