First off let me say Chris is awesome, went in thinkng i was gonna have to deal with a the wheeling and dealing you hear about with dealerships but not chris ask me what im looking for and what i plan on doing with the car in my daily life then made suggestions on what i might like. Chris made the whole experience very pleasant made me feel very, umm what a good way to say this, welcomed. I told him what i could work with and he made it work. I ended up leaving with a 2017 Chevy Volt which has been great driving, its so quiet some times i turn it off and start it back up cause i dont hear anything.... The old car I'd driven for the past six years bit the dust on Monday. On Tuesday, Chris Paul Neumann at Maher Chevy was attentive on the phone, listened well, told me what documents to bring in, identified two low-mileage cars for me to evaluate that were similar to those I've preferred before. On Wednesday, after doing my research, I walked in for a 1:30 appointment, A few hours later, I drove away in one of the nicest cars I have ever owned. The cost of credit, which I am trying to rebuild, was quite reasonable given the challenges I've faced since the recession. Chris is obviously very adept at understanding people and financing options, and works extremely hard to get a deal done.

My parents recently purchased a Chevy Cruze LT at Maher Chevrolet. Chris Neumann located the exact vehicle they wanted and he even prepared the paperwork in advance to streamline their visit. Their Cruze has all the latest technology, including back-up camera, bluetooth, Sirius XM, OnStar, etc. I was glad Chris took the time to go over all these high-tech features with my parents so they would be comfortable with everything before they left. Chris helped my dad get his military discount as he is a veteran. My parents were very happy with their car-buying experience. I've definitely bought a few cars, and I can tell you this dealership has it together. Very efficient, very professional. Lean and well-managed. Tons of cars, too. Volume. After visiting a huge local dealership which tried to steer me into buying a car beyond my budget, I visited Maher Chevrolet very skeptical, yet after to communicating with Chris on a daily basis via text/ telephone the difference was apparent the minute I walked in the door: and I was greeted by the Chris finally in person was totally amazed as he greeted me with open arms as if i knew him for years. Chris made me extremely comfortable offering me water and a comfortable place to sit until the deal was complete. Not only that, but he was extremely trustworthy, and didnt talk down to me because I was a woman buying a car . He made completely comfortable explaining every step he made. He even allowed me to sit in his beautiful new office to make a call in private to the insurance company. Not only is Chris extremely professional and knows his stuff he will get you what you want in the most calm cool and collective way possible. Chris isnt really a car salesmanhes a friend. Within an hour I drove off in my beautiful black on black Malibu the car I wanted at the price I could afford. Why isnt everyone selling cars this way? ? CHRIS YOU ARE THE MAN!!!

I took my new truck in to get its second oil change at Maher Chevrolet this morning. I scheduled an online appointment for 8:00 a.m. and arrived at 7:45. a.m. I have been waiting for 2 hours for an pil change. Im extremely confused on how GM or this dealer make any money on simple service. If Jiffy lube can turn and burn a oil change in 5 minutes, its shocking that it has taken over two houra to change 8 quarts of oil at a dealership. This is almost making the free service for 2 years not even worth it. GM needs to investigate this as they are ultimately footing the bill for this. Very unsatisfied as I sit at the dealer writing this review.

I bought a car with 9,000 miles and when it was taken in for service we were informed that the car had been damaged in the front end and that it had three mismatch tires. The two back tires were bald. They wanted us to file an insurance claim. I refuse to do so because I know that I did not damage the car. When asked for the inspection of the vehicle they could not provide us one but gave us a service invoice from the company that they bought the car from . That is when we found out that the car tires were replaced prior to our purchase. We had tried to resolve this issue with Maher but they have been very uncooperative and the service has been horrendous. My car still sits on their lot. I would never ever do business with them again.

In my opinion this is the worst place you should ever go to have anything done! My first review of them was horrible due to one of the service advisers being rude when I called in and the fact that I explained to my service adviser that there was a weapon in the truck and he left my windows down with the keys in the ignition after being told. Upon completion of my review my service adviser Mike Olski called me and requested that I come back to the dealership so they could make their wrong right. My initial complaint was that the drivers side rear window would intermittently work. When I received the truck back I was only a block down the road from the dealership and the same thing happened. Upon arrival to my 0700 appointment I was greeted by Mike, at that point no problem. When I showed Mike exactly what was happening to my window we went back inside so he could properly document it on the computer. At that time he said "ohhhh I see," and proceeded to show me the problem. Originally the first time I took it to them he had reported that it was the passenger side rear window. That being said...I normally work on my own vehicles however I will take advantage of any type of warranty and I definitely know what side of my vehicle is driver side and passenger side. Continuing with how the conversation went, he stated that the warranty deductible would be billed to me for one hundred dollars! Normally I would not have a problem paying for a deductible, I have absolutely no quarrels with that. Consider that not only did I pay for the other side to be worked on/checked out they did NOT tell me there was no problem found they actually replaced the window switch on that side of the vehicle when there was never an issue to begin with. Now I am told they are going to bill me for a mistake that I did not make? NO I will not give that dealership a dime of my money nor will I ever take my vehicle there again under any circumstances!

Must say after reading reviews of Maher Chevrolet I was hopeful that when i found a car listed online that I thought was perfect for me that I would have a good experience with them. Unfortunately that was not the case. Showed up to look at a 200 Lexus GS400 they advertised for a little under $8000. It was advertised as an outstanding vehicle and for the price it should be. Upon arrival though it was apparent the vehicle was not accurately described in its online posting. The paint was faded, the wheels were in bad shape the back bumper had damage, the check engine light was on, and the traction control was off and would not engage. After pointing these issues out to the sales rep I was informed that he was sure most if not all of them would be fixed. I told him i would think about it and let him know my decision in a day or two. A few days later my wife did another search online for the same make/model car and saw the exact same car listed at the same dealership for almost $10,000. Given that we had just been there 2 days ago and my wife called at my request while i was at work to try and work out a better price. After talking back and forth with a sales rep and having a price we were comfortable with she drove the 20-25 minute 1 way trip to put a deposit down to hold the car until i was off work and available to go finish the paperwork and bring the balance of the money. When she arrived she was met with a rude manager who refused to honor the phone agreement and informed her that the price was for the vehicle as it sits with no repairs done and would not budge on that. My wife and I have had a lot of experience buying cars in our lives and I must say this is absolutely the worst experience i have ever had in attempting to spend what for my family is a fairly substantial amount of money

After our excellent buying experience at Maher Chevy I thought as with other dealerships in the past our Service would be less enjoyable. I have to say that we have received the same great Service from our Service advisor Tim Gerber as the day we purchased our vehicle. Whenever I call in for service Tim gets me on the schedule in a timely manor, Keeps me up to date on the status of my car, Never makes me feel stupid for asking questions & if the service to my car will take some time Tim provides me with a nice Maher loaner car so that I am not inconvenienced. I would highly recommend this dealership to everyone buying a New or Used vehicle & that they stick to having their car serviced by the people who know Chevys the best. When I decided to buy a new Chevy pickup, I approached the same sales-person (Robin Shively) I worked with for three prior purchases there. This led to my ordering a 2016 LTZ LZ1 Silverado 6.2. It arrived on schedule (11-30-15), and I was kept updated on the progress of the order (acceptance, build date, shipping date, etc.). Pricing was the most difficult to get information on until it arrived.I realized that when I ordered the vehicle -- with somewhat unique combinations of options -- that the dealer knew I had given up some bargaining ground, right off. But, be that as it may, I was and remain very happy with the truck, and the deal itself was fine with me. I would caution two things for a new car buyer there. One, when trading in a vehicle (which I did not do), that you refrain from doing so there. If you have the time and the understanding of what your used vehicle is worth, and its condition, sell your trade on your own, and you should save yourself thousands of dollars. What I was "offered" for the vehicle I was replacing was truly laughable. Two,the final sit-down sales pitches are to be avoided. They will (like all other dealerships) try to sell you expensive and typically unnecessary extended warranties, paint sealants, and interior leather treatments, and other odds and ends that are merely profit points you likely would never need, or that do absolutely nothing to improve the vehicle.Vehicle service (routine or warranty) at this dealership has always been good, predictable, with the personalized service itself, exceptional. My kudos here go to Tim Gerber in the service department. Being that I am aging now, this new vehicle purchase may be my final one.., but, if I live long enough, I would return first to Maher's, and to salesperson, Robin Shively, to get it done.. Took my car in for an oil change and tire balance and rotation. The technician noticed that I had a small oil leak coming out of the timing chain area. Being a Friday the service adviser let me know immediately and was able to issue me a loaner car as it was too late in the day and week to fix this problem. My car was ready on Tuesday afternoon and the service adviser kept me informed daily as to the progress. It was also noticed that during the safety check that my car battery was very weak and about to go bad. I had them change it out for piece of mind before the cold weather starts to hit and leaves me stranded somewhere. Best part was the oil leak was covered under the manufacturers warranty. Got my car back and it is running like new again. All the personnel at Maher Chevrolet in St. Petersburg, FL were very helpful and friendly. I will continue to bring it back to the dealership for all my service needs.

I've actually already recommended Maher Chevrolet to friends. I went in to get my oil changed and tires rotated, and for the first time, I was offered a choice between a ride to work or a courtesy vehicle. I chose the courtesy vehicle. While the wait for everything was a bit longer than expected, I had to take into account that it was first thing Monday morning, so there were A LOT of cars there. There was also an active recall on my vehicle, which they checked and determined that my car wasn't missing that part. When Mike C. called to let me know that my car was ready, he said they were washing and detailing it. I was surprised and so happy! That was a first for me as well. I'll be taking my car to Maher for as long as I own it. This is my second vehicle purchased from that dealership, and it has my business for life.

This service department is amazing. Everyone is so polite and helpful which definitely helps with the process. My service adviser for my most recent service was Becky and she was great! I had to leave my vehicle for several days and Becky called me everyday sometimes twice just to give me an update. One of the greatest advantages to this dealership is the loaner cars which are available if you need to leave your vehicle there overnight or for several days. You don't have to go off site to get a rental car and you check out in the same place you drop off your vehicle. They typically try to put you in a vehicle similar to your current vehicle if they have availability. My overall experience has been great and i would highly recommend this dealership to anyone.

In the past, I had some horrible service experiences with Maher, however, I was forced to revisit them when my vehicle was stolen and I had my repairs administered by their body shop. Since then, I have had very favorable experiences. My service manager, Steve, has been great with keeping me in the loop when my vehicle was in service under him. My last visit I worked with Tim and he provided great service as well. This last visit was the least amount of time I spent without my vehicle which is preferable. The one thing I get concerned about is being without my vehicle for extended periods of time. I appreciate the loaner vehicle though because it keeps life going. My service specialist was very efficient but a problem did occur with my route oil change. The service tech broke a vacuum seal which caused a light to appear on my rpm dial. When I drove away after the servicing I Noticed the light and wondered what it signaled. I felt a difference in the drive, like my timing was off, but them passed it off as a figment of my imagination; but the more I drove, the more serious the problem. The vehicle sent a false signal that the traction needed repair, the car was jerking when stoppedI took the car back to the service specialist and she noted my concerns the put the details in the service request. The problem was resolved, no fee was charged and I was told that this was part of a silent recall notice, that was only repaired when the part failed???? I believe that the part was broken when my oil was changed and the tech removed the part to check my air filter. In the end the problem was resolved, but it took my day off and I really did not plan nor want to spend it resolving a problem like this. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THAT A SERV TECH DID NOT MEET MY EXPECTATIONS, ALL MY OTHER EXPERIENCES HAVE BEEN GOOD.

This is my second time with Maher. The Salesman, Nick Hise was awesome and I would recommend him to anyone and already have to a few. AS for the final phase of the deal and working with Mr. Ron White, he too was easy and understandable to work with. However, the finance gentleman, John Wagner was not very personable at all, arrogant, if anything needs to be sent to a management / people skills seminar. When items were needed to further the process instead of contact the client direct. He would what until the salesperson came in for their shift which may not have been for a 3+ hours after the information request was received by Mr Wagner. That is very inefficient in the business process. It is a waste of time and leaves the client wondering if Mr. Wagner really truly cares like he leads on to believe about the client and moving forward with the deals. Bottom line is to make money for Maher Chevy, but at his pace one wonders just how many deals are lost due to his snails pace?Want more call me....Regards,Dennis B

When I came in for a test drive, I was very pleased to not feel any pressure at all. I felt like I was mostly in control of the deal. I decided to take home a 2015 Chevy Sonic of lower price compared to the ones I actually test drove. After I drove off the lot, I realized I would rather pay more for the upgraded version. The dealership was very happy to accommodate me an switch me up into a different car the next day, even after signing most of the paperwork. So far, I am very happy with my car. However, I've been trying to contact them about what's going on with my loan and lender information. I don't know if there is any last paperwork I have to sign? But no one has gotten back to me about that. My car insurance is due today, but I didn't know my lender information to add to it.

I am happy to say that I was completely satisfied with the prompt,courteous and efficient manner that Maher Chevrolet service department provided me .I had a problem with the tire pressure meter in my car showing that I had low tire air pressure. The service department provided me with a better feeling of security because they actually removed the tire in question from the car and checked it for leaks in a ''dunk tank of water'' and also looked the tire over for any visable damage.So far, the problem has not returned.Thanks go out to the service department from me.George

I had an oil change and my tires rotated on Saturday August 8, 2015. I was informed that I was going to need tires replaced soon. As it happened my husband and I went out Monday evening and suddenly heard a noise. We stopped the car and realized that the rear drivers side tire was loosing air quickly. When I looked at my tire pressure sensor read-out it was showing front passenger side was the one loosing air, which means the sensors weren't reset to the correct tires when they were rotated. Got home and since it was 7:00 at night and needed to get replaced that night we called Tire Kingdom who told us that they had the tires in stock and could change them out the same night. My husband went out to put the doughnut tire on the car and was able to remove the lug nuts with one hand and very little effort. I have changed tires before and I know they should not be able to come off that easy. Fortunately this was only 2 days after I had in for the oil change and we didn't have any mishaps, but I travel the interstate every day back and forth to work and its a little scary thinking about what could have happened. I still gave a high rating because I love this dealership and I don't let one bad experience determine where I spend my money. But I do hope that this was a one time thing.

My first visit to Maher with my 2014 Chevy Cruze. I had a little laundry list of things to look at. My service adviser is Timothy Gerber, who I cannot say enough good things about. It took a couple of days to get my list covered, but it was done efficiently and completely to my satisfaction. I was immediately made to feel "at home" by Tim and all the employees I encountered during my experience. I came to own my Cruze after several years of owning several Honda Civics. I have to say that the build quality and driving experience of my Cruze FAR exceeds my history with the Civics. I had always felt that Honda's service departments were the gold standard. I had trouble with my brakes. The rotors needed to be replaced. It had to be a very rainy day of course! but the staff, especially Steve Weintraub was exceptionally helpful. My husband and I have been dealing with Maher Chevrolet since December of 1994 with David Jenquin. Over the 21 years we have leased and bought several vehicles. David was a one of a kind sales person, never aggressive and always assisted me when I needed it. Once my husband had to lease a vehicle quickly for a new job, we had the truck the next morning. Wish he was still there. Service personnel have always been considerate. I am disabled and can't get into a vehicle that is too low to the ground or high up, and they do as best they can when repairs were going to take more than a day. I bring my cars to Maher Service department because they are reliable snd keep me up to date on any recalls or othere services needed. Tim, my service advisor in the sevice department, is the main reason I use Maher service. Tim has been taking care of my cars since 2009 and in my opinion no one could do a better job. I am always 100% with the work. He makes sure it is correct before he calls me to pick it up.In my opinion,if Tim were to leave I would have to follow him to his new job. I recently had an issue with another department at Maher and I asked Tim for a phone number and he did better that that,he had the situation resolved for me in a short period of time. He is an outstanding service advisor and we can't say enough about him. Always pleasant and greets you with a smile and a great attitude all the time. I tell my friends to go to Tim at Maher and he will get the job done right the first time.

We bought a new Traverse from this dealership. The sales staff were nice, personable, and prompt when we indicated we were interested in buying from them, but the finance staff could care less about you once they get your money. We had been there for a few hours checking out the car, test driving, and going through the paperwork, which is expected to take awhile so I can't complain. Towards the end of our visit, we were ready to go and hastily purchased a warranty were didn't need. The next day my wife and I discussed the fact that we didn't need the warranty and called the dealership back to cancel the warranty. I left a message with the finance department but never received a call back. I called the dealership back 3-4x, only able to leave messages on answering machines, and never received a call back. I then went directly to the dealership to talk to someone to cancel the warranty. I was not able to talk to anyone in the finance department, but the receptionist gave me paperwork to fill out to cancel the warranty. I filled out the paperwork and expected the issue to be settled, but 3-4 weeks later (still never receiving a call back) we received the statement from the bank with the warranty still showing. I called the dealership back, asking the receptionist to put me through to someone I can talk to in person and not an answering machine. Again, she put me through to an answering machine. I called back 5-6x in a row telling the receptionist "It's me again, could you please put me through to someone I can talk to, not an answering machine because I won't get a call back." After the 5th or 6th time, she finally broke down and put me through to a guy that wasn't even at the dealership. I told him my situation and he said he would go to the dealership and leave a note to the person who is in charge of cancelling warranties, and would also put me through to her office. I again got an answering machine, left a message, and never got a call back. Although I think the sales staff are likeable and professional, I would not buy from this dealership again or recommend anyone buying from them unless you plan on never having to deal with them after your purchase.

The service advisors and rental car staff's customer service is exceptional. My service advisor understood my vehicles needs and the repairs that I thought were necessary. In addition, he was quick to explain the possible charges and what was covered under warranty. My service advisor called throughout the repair process to keep me up to date on a completion timeline and the progress that was being made. My service advisor also went above and beyond to have my vehicle washed and detailed, while it was waiting to be picked up.The rental car staff does a great job of maintaining a variety of rental vehicle inventory. The inventory is new, clean and well equipped.On a different note, it can be confusing on which customer is waiting for which service advisor. At times, all services advisors may be with a customer and knowing who is next can lead to a longer wait and frustration. Would help if Maher would implement a queuing system for "next available" or if you are waiting on a specific service advisor.

I had an appointment at 8am for a free recall repair and also to repair my air conditioner. I told my service writter that I would really like the car back by 2pm as my son needed it for work, he told me that it cold take longer for the air and that the recall key was only a few mins. but they had loaner cars and not to worry. They called me at 11:30am to quote me the $1200 repair fee and I OK'd it...(though seemed high). At 3pm they called to say the car was done and asked if I would like a free car wash and vacuum, I said, "sure", I also reminded him that I would need a ride to pick up car, he said, "No problem the driver will be calling you shortly". By 6pm still no call so I called them. The sad sounding person that answerd passed me on to the recorded press 1 for....press2 for...etc.. I hung up called again and told her AGAIN that I wanted my car, she informed me that it had been washed.....I don't care I just want my car...."We close at 6:30"...But if you pay over the phone the repair cost of $1187.00 we can leave it outside so you can pick up"...(I wonder where the keys would be..LOL) So 3pm car done, now I have to wait until tomorrow for a car that was ready at 3pm. (and no loaner as stated by service writter) So done with Maher!!! I have bought ALL my trucks and cars from them since 1999 and getting ready to buy another....never had issues like this...I WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER CAR OR HAVE THEM SERVICE ANY MORE OF MY VEHICLES. This experience has been awful!!

I was just there for a service. My service rep is always great. Never met the techs in the garage so I have no clue what they are like. They were supposed to change the oil which I assume they did properly and they checked fluids and aired the tires. If they didnt really do the job I also assume my Onstar diagnostics would inform me what needs done and then I'd know because it updates me on oil life, tire pressure etc. my only concern with the Chevy line are all the recalls being made. But when there has been a recall on my car Maher has been great at taking car of the issue.

I Took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. My car went in right away and in an hour I was on my way. The waiting area is well maintained & comfortable. I do wish they would provide free coffee for customers though. There are coffee machines, drink and snack machines available to make purchases.

Our Trail Blazer is a 2003 model with about 115,000 miles. Maher Chevrolet is the only place that has preformed any required service or repair work. We took the vehicle in for two recalls and minor issues with the windshield washers and the sun roof. The recalls and washer issues were resolved in a couple of days but the sun roof required a replacement part that was difficult to locate. The part took almost a week to secure after checking with multiple locations. The dealer kept the car since they were never given an exact time when the sun roof part would arrive. We were provided an Equinox loaner vehicle for the duration of the repair and therefore were not inconvenienced by the time it took to secure the repair parts. The repairs were completely satisfactory and the service was great!

I had a scheduled appointment time to bring my car in. Once at the dealership the service adviser completed the necessary paperwork in a short amount of time. When I asked approximately when the car would be waiting he estimated 45 - 60 minutes. The car was completed in 50 minutes and was driving out the door in 60 minutes. The dealership has always provided me with great service and very friendly and knowledgeable service adviser's. Over the years this is the 4th car I have trusted them to service and maintain and could not be more happy with the results. I would definately recommend this dealership.

My 2012 Chevy Cruze started running hot, fan was constantly running and leaking coolant. The service department is good about addressing recalls, 5 months prior one was issued about possible engine coolant leak. Service department repaired my car for me, it took a week because they had to order parts but, as always I was accommodated with a rental. Maher Chevy service department is always fast, efficient and friendly.Also cleaned my car for me which is a tremendous help!

My Husband & had spent 4 days shopping for a slightly used car online & at dealerships . We found a good deal online at Maher Chevrolet on a 2014 Tahoe, but when we got there the sales Man that greeted us told us that the car was out on loan to a customer. My Husband was traveling out of town in two days so time was an issue. The sales men Tim Cade immediately got on the phone to have a customer service rep switch out the car for us to test drive while we test drove other cars on the lot to compare . Within 30 min. the car was there for us to drive. Tim was very knowledgeable about the cars we test drove & did NOT have that pushy sales person attitude. The whole purchase experience was quick & easy ! We were also pleased that Maher called us the next day after shopping for the best interest rate for us with a better interest rate than originally agreed upon. Which was more paper work for them but they saved us just about a years worth of payments !!! We will DEFENITLY be calling on Maher Chevrolet & Tim Cade for our next car purchase !

Matt Gascon was the perfect Salesman. He listened to me and I left with exactly what I'd been hoping for. Ronald White in the finance department (I think) was knowledgeable and thorough. He went over every little detail of my deal and explained all the extra benefits they offered in a way I could understand. The dealership is always courteous and helpful. We went for an oil change at the last minute and they worked us in without an appointment. But I would highly recommend that you make an appointment. It took over 2 hours to facilitate our oil change. We know it is done right when we take it to our dealer. They even took the time to show us how to reset a light that was blocking our mileage.Yes, we could have looked in our manual, but it is so much easier for a knowledgeable employee to show us.One day we hope to have the dealer figure out why our radio only works part of the time. They said it would cost about $90 diagnostic to find out. That's about the cost of a new radio or speaker. Not in our current budget. Overall, we always come back to Maher.

I went in for my second oil change and was informed I should also have the brakes checked. I was given a loaner vehicle. It turned out had to leave to NY that evening, and wanted to make sure I return the loaner and pick up my car before leaving, Tim did everything he could to make sure I did. The Service Department unfortunately does not compare to the Sales .Department. I was not happy with my experience with the Service Person which never called me back unless I complained or had the sales person assist to find him. I would go back to the dealer only to buy a car and not to have my car serviced. Very sad, because they have the potential to be great. The only positive in the Service Department is Dee, she is a breathe of fresh air there. Also I will say that Ryan F is a good guy and I think he has great customer service skills. I feel it is sad that the service guy had him call me instead of calling me himself. Thank you Dee and Ryan F.

Personal THANKS to Rob Tausinger - the sales person who made it happen, he was very attentive to details, listening to my needs, doing everything in no time. Cautious customer service, fast paperwork and finance procedures, good deal on the vehicle. I got 2010 Jeep Liberty with just 20k miles on it 2 weeks before, like more with every day driving. Expect your stereotypical strong arm sales approach to start with. It won't end there either- their 'finance'department is ready and willing to bend you over too. I bought a truck from these guys just a couple of months ago. Paid sticker price-but I was told by the salesman that I had to because of my 'bad' credit. Credit Karma had me at a 780 so I don't think that it was that bad? In the end, after signing the papers with them and leaving with the truck, I got a call from the salesman, Mark, that there was a problem with my financing and that I had to resign. They told me that I hadn't been approved after all (huh?) but now my trade in had been sold at auction and there was no backing out. I was forced to resign the sales agreement at a higher interest rate. It was the worst experience I have ever had in my entire life. I am pursuing a lawsuit against them for their bait-and-switch routine but please BEWARE of this dealership!!!!

When ever I took these vehicles in for service or even a simple issue they were eager to assist me and accommodate in any way they could. Always very pleasant and thorough. Today I purchased a new vehicle and Patrick McNeil was most incredible representative for Maher experience. From my first inquiry to the paperwork, Patrick made every step easy and effortless for me. He made sure all the "t's" were crossed and all trhe "i's" were dotted every step of the way. The vehicle he helped me find fits me and my personality to a "t". I'm from mississippi I bought a 2010 vette over phone thru Frank Rancourt he was very friendly and helpful. Dealing with him was great a lot better than going into a dealership and haggling for hours. We agreed on a price no ifs ands or butts. He walked the car over while I was on phone with him nothing was hidden. 3days later he shipped the car to me in MS for a great price. We have spoken since the sale and he always answers the phone highly recommend him.

September 20, 2014 I called the service dept to see if they had a 2009 traverse battery in stock and could they install I t, as AAA was unable to due to the fact the battery was not under the hood. I called and spoke to someone who said my regular service person Tim was on vacation, and her service rep was with a customer and would get back to me. An hour later I called back and left a voice mail on John's machine-no person available to talk to. It is now 12noon on Sept 21, 2014-still waiting for the courtesy of a return call.I would have expected, having all my service on 2 vehicles done at Maher for 5 years I would have at least gotten a call back saying they were too busy to help me today and offering another appointment. wound up going to Firestone, got a battery, had it installed and was completed in an hour as promised-no additional wait time. Disappointed is an understatement-guess they are busy enough they don't have to worry about their customers-I wish them well

I brought my car into the service dept because it shut off on the freeway the service guy Jon Waterhouse didn't even seem to care he's like you can fix it if you want and that was after he interrupted me telling me I was wrong about the recall. Do you actually think I am going to drive around with a car that shuts off randomly yeah thats smart. Took them months to get it fixed then he sends me an email saying he is calling the cops cause my car was done and "they attempted several times" to get me to bring my rental back but if you check their phone records and email outbox you will not see one attempt so the guy is a classless condescending blatant liar. I know he did that on purpose trying to get me in trouble but it didn't work I got my car back before the deadline plus I would of just told the cops to check their records and they would have saw he was lying but its just probably a matter of time before my car breaks down again though I will have to get it checked out asap from another dealership.Meanwhile the sales dept took several months just to email me how much they would give me for the HHR. I contacted their sales dept and had a guy tell me he would get back to me and never did then a couple months later after I attempted again another guy there had a salesman named Val Nucci contact me and he just straight up stopped responding to me when I asked how much he would give me for the HHR towards the rental I was in. Then the so called "experience manager" Matt Berry disappeared too after he realized a deal couldn't be made and the only reason he gave me a number is cause I contacted GM and told them how bad my experience was going so far. This place doesn't seem to want to want to make deals at all someone get word to the owner asap. I used to sell cars and they always preach control control but hey buddy you do what I want not what you want or I will go somewhere else. This place is a disgrace and I would never go back or recommend them to anyone.And oh when you read this people at Maher don't try and contact me I am not going to change my mind about your dealership the damage cannot be undone but I will be contacting GM and local news outlets to tell them my story, good luck!!

He walked me through the lot while patiently addressing all of my questions and concerns and took me to every vehicle I was considering. When I thought I was comfortable with a car, he took the time to show me a similar vehicle with better mileage at a lower price. As a customer at a car dealership, I felt like Ado put me first, and that is incredibly important to me and I cannot thank him enough.Once we started talking about pricing, I got into a comfort zone and informed him that I needed the cost to go below a certain threshold or I would have to turn to the better offer in Orlando, and he really took care of me and gave me the best deal he could manage. I paid for the car and before I drove it off the lot, he spent hours of his time cleaning and detailing every inch of the car. I still drive the car and it is fantastic. I purchased a new Chevy Cruze in 2010. The vehicle is a 2011 LTZ/RS. Ever since we have owned it weve had nothing but problems. Originally we were going to lemon law the vehicle but Maher Chevy said that they would fix it or help us into a new vehicle. When we first asked for help they just kept saying that they are working on it. Well the issue still is on going and the car is actually still defective. I recently just went in a little more desperate for help. They set me up with a sales person and wow what a joke. They basically said that the cruze isnt worth much and they took 1200 off the new vehicle. The sales person also said you get rebates and 3500 from GM. Im no fool and know that they never contacted GM and are just taking a small markdown. The only foolish thing I did was trust them and not lemon law the vehicle. The car is getting to the point of being dangerous. I call to schedule service and get a loaner but they said that we only have stick shift available. We save the good cars on reserve status. My wife cant drive a stick shift. This happens every time. Im sure if I was a customer that buys 65000 corvettes this wouldnt be an issue. I feel discriminated against because I bought a cheaper vehicle that is a lemon. Even the sales person said yeah you got the car from end of shift on friday. What kind of comment is that? I am disappointed to have given my trust to Maher Chevy and now they now I cant lemon law the car. Ive been fooled and tricked by Maher. They are a very unsympathetic , bitter and unkind dealership who takes advantage of the blue collar worker. I do wanna give Tim Gerber a positive because he is the ONLY one who trys to help. The management team could care less if my car gets me into an accident.

We've purchased 3 new cars from other dealers in the past with each being a poor to average experience, however Maher Chevrolet in St Pete was by far the best dealership we've worked with. We not only had a great experience with our saleman, Joe Thomas, but we got a tremendous deal on the new vehicle, and a surprisingly higher trade in value for our existing vehicle over what a different dealership quoted us. There is no doubt we will buy from Maher Chevrolet again in the future, as this is now our second GM purchase of many more to come.

Maher Chevrolet was the only dealership that I found to be able to back up what they promised. I had my 2014 corvette Stingray w/Z51 package in less than a month. The other dealerships were just willing to take my deposit and hope that I would just wait 6 months or more before I received the vehicle, Maher had the allocation and I picked the car up on 1/22/14.Mike "Red" O'Roake was very instrumental in getting me to come to Maher, the courtesy, knowledge and professionalism that I received when we first spoke on the phone was exceptional. I wasn't disappointed on my first visit either; Red introduced me to Wayne Culver the Sales manager who seamed to be busy when I arrived but immediately came over to assist Red.Wayne found that they had the exact vehicle I was looking for within a mater 0f minutes (it was being built), I gave my deposit to the finance manager who secured my financing on the spot. The rest is history!!!!Maher has a great team, I highly recommend that you go see Wayne Culver and Mike "Red" O'Roake if you are considering buying a vehicle of any kind!

Inquired on one vehicle, made appointment, filled out credit on line, got there could not find the vehicle then was told it was not mechanically sound shown another vehicle that I liked signed the papers went home had it for almost a week get a call saying they couldn't get me financed for that vehicle and I had to bring it back but that there was another vehicle (not the type I was looking for) that they could get me financed for that was more expensive. I already sold my other car and was between a rock and a hard place needing a car. Bait and switch at its worst. Wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Now I'm in a more expensive vehicle that was not what I wanted. Wish I had seen this site before.

Having been a first time customer of Maher Chevrolet, I was not sure what to expect and was initially timid to buy a new car based on the typical "used car salesman" approach. Once I pulled up and got out of my car I was approached as expected and asked if I needed any help in a very non-aggressive manner. I replied and said I just wanted to look, and I will let the sales man (Walt Empey) know when I am ready to discuss. After about 20 minutes of searching I found the car of my dreams, 2013 Chevy Silverado. Walt, the salesman, could see my excitement! He approached me and informed me on the car and answered any questions I had. He was very helpful, professional, and passionate in the product he was explaining. I eventually purchased the car with no hassle or pressures. Walt made me feel very comfortable and assured me I would be taken care of. I really appreciated Walt Empeys service and professionalism.

Out right thieves!!! They treat there employees like crap and it shows in the quality of the service. Since Mike Maher past the Piece of trash Greg Soliar took over and is driving that dealership into the dirt not to mention the service director Daryl Marcum who regularly degrades, curses and screams at the employees. They can't keep service writers because of the daily abuse from the two of them. The service dept. is a death trap and they refuse to upgrade it. The employees are miserable and it shows in there work. Stay Away

Misleading, deceptive, no follow up, and poor service. Maher Chevy sold a vehicle with an inoperable air bag. They knew or should have known, based upon their statement that the car was checked out mechanically and the only thing wrong was the horn. We were told they would fix the horn and we paid cash, We took possession three days later. Several hours after we took possession they called and told us the airbag was inoperable. Then they said we could come back and buy another vehicle costing $1000 more. Avoid this dealership. Avoid Ted Cade the salesman.

Dropped off my car to have diagnostic done. 3 hours later I was told it needed over $800.00 repair work. I told them I needed to consult with the owner of the auto sales co. I purchased car from. After consulting with him, a second opinion by another mechanic was run and revealed that 2 of the parts the Maher service dept. computer analysis said I needed was false.The next day I called Mr. Gerber, left a voice message requesting a breakdown on the $800.00+ estimate. My call was Never returned. I paid a $96.00 diagnostic fee and I'm questioning their analysis. I had a ligament question. The repair will be performed by another repair shop ( which I won't mention here) Yes their friendly, but I'm afraid I can't recommend this dealership. In my opinion the $96 fee is very high, when it took less the 3 minutes? to perform and I'm questioning the validity of their analysis. When I returned to pay the fee, I was told they had to put the parts back together? My car was sitting in the exact same spot where they parked it prior to me leaving? The mechanic basically walked to it opened the door and plugged in his computer box. Hate to say this, but before you let this dealer work on your vehicle (unless you have a warrantee?) beware. Get a secound opinion.

Did a test drive with Val Nucci, but decided to spread the net wide and contacted numerous local chevy dealers over the internet. Val strung me along for 3 weeks, then at the last minute did a bait and switch with price. I told him I was buying from another dealer, and I did. This guy has kept on emailing me, acting as if we set an appointment for a test drive, like I was still shopping for a car. Even after, I told him to quit emailing me, he still keeps sending email. Maher Chevy wouldn't give me their General Manager's email address. I thought he'd like to know that Nucci is a scumbag that is misleading him, but obviously the management of Maher is too cowardly to publish their email addresses. No wonder another dealer won my business.

I bought a 02 Altima from this location and it was a lemon pure lemon. A lot of electrical issues and was promise it to be fixed. Well long story short it wasn't and I had 3 "rental" cars and was promised a different car at cost and not another dealer fee. (All after 30 days) Well ended up paying a dealer fee and 3% extra on my interest rate after was promised they were gonna take care of me. Horrible customer service very slow return time. Do not business with this dealership rest-assured they will screw you and not take care of you. I mean look at there past ratings I wish I would have.

showed up early because I had another appointment later in the morning. was told service would take an hour. After 50 minutes car was still in the lot. Nothing done to it. complained to Rick Moench, manager. Basically told me, tough, service is first come first served. Appointments mean nothing. No apologies, no concern, no customer service. They should call the department "DIS-SERVICE"!\THERE IS A GOOD REASON THIS DEALER HAS BAD REVIEWS. THEY DESERVE THEM!

I purchased a 2011 Chevy from this dealership along with the "premier tire warranty." Two weeks later a piece of metal got stuck in my tire and it was not fixable so I had to go in and get a new tire. On a Monday afternoon I sat there for nearly 3 hours while they had my car just for them to come back and tell me they didn't have my tire in stock it should be in tomorrow. Tomorrow comes, no tire. They say it should be Thursday at the latest. Thursday comes, no tire. In the meantime I have two jobs and so I travel about 50 miles per day. What is someone supposed to do when they have to make a trip to Tampa? These people couldnt even pretend like they cared. Both of my roommates and my self all have newer model Chevy's, why should any of us bring our cars here?????

Stay away from this place; they list cars, trucks and SUVs for sale that they actually do not have or intend to sell. These people are the ultimate in deception! I tracked a car from the auction here only to have the salesrep tell me the owner of the dealership bought it for his daughter, that is after tagging me along for a week when I turned down another deal. I brought my Saturn to this dealership due them being authorized service providers for Saturn. The claimed that my car was fixed 3 times each time I brought it back they claimed it was fixed and even road tested however this was not true due to the fact that each time I had my car for a matter of hours and it had the same problem fir which I originally brought in to be serviced. Now I am picking up my car because they can't fix it and want me to pay for Their diagnostics when in fact it is under warranty and they have had it on 4 separate occasions for multiple days each time ... So I am essentially being discriminated Against because they are incompetent and cannot fix my car after 4 visits.

Took my SSr in for repairs. My driver side was leaking and my dash board was out and had other small repairs done. Got my car back the first time and had more problems than orignally. My door had clinking noise and still leaked. Took the truck backthey tried over 5 times to repair my problem. the second time I picked up my truck they put black glue all over the top of my weatherstrip on the outside looked like a kid repaired my truck. They took it back and than adjusted the window the roof to my convertible. When I got in my truck for the 3rd time the wind was howling so loud that I rolled my window down, when I went to shut the door the window sounded like it was going to break inside the door. Called immediately to let them know. Made a appointment the next day with the service manager to do a test drive with him to show what the new problems were. He agreed and took the truck back. When I got my truck back for the 4th time, everything seemed ok till it rained and found that I now had 2 leaks on the drivers side and now it leaks on the passengers side. I took my truck back to the dealership and showed them the water marks inside the truck and also pointed out that the door for the roof top to go in was out of alignment. That's when they said they never touched that which isn't true because the first time I brought my truck in they told me the reason that it took so long for me to get my truck back from the first repair which took them over 2 weeks was because they had problems with the top going down. When I took it back for the last time I got a call from the service manager saying that they did all they can do for my truck and they will no longer work on it, they wash their hands of my SSR. I paid them 4500.00 for the repairs and know they say I took it some where else and had someone else work on it. Because they are saying someone else worked on my truck they don't have to do anything and I have more leaks in my car than I had when I brought it into the dealership. They say I can't prove that I didn't so it's becomes a she said he said situtation. I can't believe that a dealership would treat a customer this way knowing that I have a car out of warranty and that will need future repairs. Plus the repairs that I had worked on should have warranties but they say they will not work on my truck at all! So I'm left with a truck that has more issues than before and out $4500.00. I would think twice before bringing my vehicle to this dealership.
