On Feb. 9,2016 I dropped my 2008 EOS off , to have an oil change. While it was there I asked them to look into a small water leak I was having during heavy rain storms the previous summer. This car was stored all winter in a heated garage. A couple of hours after I dropped it off I got a call from the service advisor, Pam. She said that they water tested my car and was unable to find any leaks, and at $1.05/hr did I want them to keep looking. Of course I said no, just do the oil service and I'll come and pick it up. A while latter she called back to say that there was a problem with my sun roof not closing.( I bought this car there new in 2008 , never had any trouble with the roof.) I picked up my car and when I got back to my office I thought I'd try the sun roof to see what was wrong. When I touched the button to open it , the roof opened up all the way making sounds like nuts and bolts in a blender. I called Pam up to ask what had happened , she was kind of short with me. So I asked to speak to the mechanic for is in put. Eric said that when he opened the roof it wouldn't close so he got a couple of guys there to help him manually close it., twice. Not sure why he had to do it twice. I then called back to speak to the service manager, Mike. He said call him next week and he would get my car back to see what was wrong meanwhile he would speak to the mechanic, Eric for some insight. When L called the next week I was told that there wasn't any openings and would have to wait several days. A couple of weeks latter I took it to another VW dealer who discovered that the roof had been damaged and would require about $7500 in parts to fix. During this time I had a lot of thought as too what caused this. I figured that they got the roof wet , keep in mind its FEB. and then tried to open it frozen. That caused the nylon gear on the motor to strip while the roof was opening up and when they Manually closed it twice bending the frame work. I hand a real nice convertible for seven years, Don't trust these people.

We liked the staff at Nemer VW. They were good listeners and helpful in suggesting cars. When the car I had picked arrived and it wasn't what I wanted (no fault of theirs), they worked with me to find another alternative. We were so pleased that 5 months later when my husband's car was totaled, we went back for another car. Service hours are not extremely convenient for me, but scheduling online was easy and their system is efficient. They were ready for me when I arrived and the car was ready when promised. I didn't even spend 5 minutes inside between drop off and pick up. I was only getting an oil change.

I was converted to a Volkswagen vehicle when we had two dogs and I had to sell my sports car. The commercial with the two Weinheimer's leaping into the Jetta instantly converted me to a Volkswagen fan. I have brought my car to nemer a few times before with no major issues. However, I have brought my 4 year old car in 6 times in about 7 months, and multiple times within the last month for the same check engine light issue. Multiple attempts on different parts were fixed that cost me a lot of money and not to mention TIME! It was very inconvenient, especially since I was only offered a rental car once after the 4th time I brought it in because the shuttle car did not run at the times I needed to get to and from work. Issues like this should not be an on-going issue for months and months, and cost their costumers time and large amounts of money.

Michael Parent was my salesman. By far the most professional and honest salesman I have ever dealt with. Paul Ryan, the finance manager was also very helpful and knowledgable. They go above and beyond to help you find the right car that really defines you and is in your budget. I went one day and was looking at a used non-VW. After sitting in the CC and driving it for 15 minutes I knew it was the car. Went back 2 days later, they had all the paperwork ready, car was cleaned and detailed and I left within an hour. I highly recommend everyone to visit Michael Parent at nemer VW!

In February I leased a Volkswagen Jetta from the Nemer dealership. At first I was confused as to how the process worked. After meeting Bill Varrone a very detailed and knowledgeable salesperson at Nemer he helped to make a confusing process very easy. Bill Varrone was very patience with me, he answered all my questions. After working with Bill I was very content with my decision to lease my Jetta. The car is very nice and the whole car buying experience was a joy. I would highly recommend buying from the Nemer dealership in Latham NY.

Overall service excellent and quite a change to the new Fuccillo Volkswagen in Schenectady (where I went before). The only negative is the waiting area which is quite noisy and can be busy ...... but then the Starbucks is quite close and one of my favorite places :-)

I purchased a brand-new new Jetta Sportwagen from Nemer Volkswagen in July 2013, my first Volkswagen and first new car ever, after several decades of driving/owning used cars, most recently a Saturn SL2, for more than 15 years, one of the best cars ever made! That said, the Jetta Sportwagen I bought from Nemer is marvelous, living up to all high expectations I had for it, and the sales experience could not have been better! Sales Manager Mike O'Toole and my salesperson, Bill Varrone, are first-rate in every respect. While usually no service or repair is required in the first year, I did pick up a nail in one of my tires. The car's notification system told me right away there was a problem, and I took it in to Nemer's service department (Josh Masiglia), where the problem was identified and repaired successfully. I recommend Nemer Volkswagen sales and service in Albany (Latham), New York very highly. The Nemer dealership has made my new car purchase an excellent experience indeed!

In December of 2013 my girlfriend and I purchased a certified pre owned 2010 Tiguan SE from Nemer. During the test drive I did a diagnostic on the car and found trouble codes for the fuel pump. I pointed these out to the salesperson and told them I would not purchase the car unless this was repaired. They agreed, and it was written as condition of the sale that those items would be repaired. A few weeks after taking deliver of the car I did another diagnostic and found the fuel pump codes had returned. This shows that Nemer never repaired the problem, they just cleared the codes and sold the car. So I brought the car to Nemer and explained that they were in violation of the terms of the sale, and they could either replace the fuel pump at their cost or buy the car back. They agreed to repair the fuel pump. So the car was left with them so they could perform the repair. When I went to pick the car up a week later, I found that while in Nemer's possession someone had backed the car into a snowbank damaging the back end. Nemer didn't even own up to the problem, I had to see it and point it out myself... and the damage was significant. Nemer took fault and agreed to repair the damage. So again the car was left with Nemer. A week later I went to pickup the car. Not only had they failed to properly repair the original damage, but now there is ADDITIONAL damage to my car. The new paint is too dark and doesn't match the car, also the paint has an orange peel texture to it. They failed to repair all of the chips on the hatch, and the chips they did repair on the bumper cover... they did not fill in before painting. So the divots can still be seen and felt through the new paint. On top of this poor-quality work they also managed to damage my right rear taillight. The lens has several deep gouges in it now. I was furious. Mike O'Toole offered to fix the car but I told him that I wouldn't let them touch it again since it has come back damaged every time. I told him the only acceptable solution would be for Nemer to pay a body shop of my choosing to do the proper repairs. He agreed. I left and went straight to a local body shop to get an estimate. Now Nemer is refusing to pay for the repairs claiming the estimate is too high ($1800). Mike O'Toole has stated that they will not pay more than "400 to 500 dollars" for the repair. This is completely unacceptable. They lied from the start and tried to pull on over on me with the fuel pump, then damaged my car and failed to repair it. These people are worthless. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!

The buying process was fine, but the follow-up afterwards was ridiculously bad. I wrote and called my sales person when an issue came up--and it took two to three weeks for him to follow up. It is now over three months later and the issue is still unresolved with no communication from my sales person.

They advertised a set monthly payment gauranten providing you have the good credit which we did. They showed us the finace agreement which showed the monthly payment the number of years , what they did not expllan was a balloon payment of approx. $ 6000. due at the end of the term , this was deceitful selling , we thought we were finished only to find this out . Shoched , be careful dealing with them. PS they also tried to charge us foe brake repairs which were under warranty , we had to point that out to them.

Purchased two vehicles from you a little over a year ago. The one vehicle had an internal issue that burned all of the oil up. I was sold the vehicle with the remainder of the factory warranty and the powertrain warranty on it. subaru looked at the car and determined that the engines computer had been tampered with or upgraded somehow and told me they could not look into my internal issue because at this point my warranty was voided. I bought the vehicle under the impression that i would be covered. Not knowing that down the road I would have a $25,000 paper weight. The exhaust and intercooler had been upgraded prior to my purchase and a boost controller . I was never informed by the sales team that this car had anything done to the engines computer or that my car would not be covered under warranty. I came to your location three days ago and spoke with a sales manager who assured me he would speak with mike Otool and the service manager to see what could be done. this was three days ago and still no phone call. So i called today only to be told that I was making things up and they do not want to speak with me . Really, is this a business ? I purchased two vehicles from you and I get this. THANKS Nemer VW , you will be hearing from my attorney.

I never felt rushed to make a deal. Although we went back and forth a few times I found that Nemer would make a deal that was good for both of us. I appreciated the buying experience and would recommend anyone to them. Everyone was polite, kind and courteous.

Purchased my first Volkswagon from Nemer. The car buying experience was unlike any I had ever had. The salesman, Chris Horn, listened to what I was looking to do. There was no back and forth as to how much did I want on trade for my car and there was no back and forth bickering as to an interest rate and a payment. I test drove two cars and I was presented with two options and two payments. I chose the car and payment that worked for me and I drove home in my new Jetta. In regards to their service department - I heard a noise coming from the driver side front tire. The service department provided me with a car while they looked at my Jetta so I could get back to work. The next day I dropped of their rental car and drove off in my car. Turned out there was nothing wrong with my car - something appeared to be rubbing but was fixed when they took off the wheel and cleaned everything. I would recommend Nemer and would recommend anyone thinking of purchasing a Volkswagon to ask for Chris Horn.

I stopped by Nemer to just look as it was the first place i went to. The salesman was very helpful in answering all of my questions and pointed me in the direction of a 2013 Vw Jetta Se. As soon as I sat behind the wheel It felt great! I hadn't actually planned on buying yet It was such a great value I just couldn't pass it up. They got me out of my 2006 Camry and now I couldn't be happier.

I made an appointment to have new snow tire installed--a tire I had previously purchased from Nemer. Arrived on time--waited 60 minutes and my car was still outside, left with the tire and went to Firestone. This is the second bad experience I've had with their service department and the last.

Never in my life have I had to wait 3 hours for an oil change with an appointment. Around hour one I asked what the hold up was I was told the there were"software issues" with the year and model of my car and the service department is repairing it as the cars come in for service. Why wasn't I contacted? Why wasn't I told that this update would be done when all I anticipated was a simple oil change? If I had known the wait time associated with this "update" I would have made other arrangements. I have never felt so ignored and inconvenienced.

I went to Nemer on friday an hour and a half before they closed. What a joke. I am a previous customer of theirs... And the salesman who sold me my last car was no longer there. Thats fine but when I told the salesman I wanted a new car he kept trying to sell me a used TDI. I say 50 times I want a new one. And finally he pawned me off on someone else.... a new person who knew nothing about the car or where they were. Nemer I am so sorry I wanted to buy a new VW from anew VW store. My appologies. I dont know where I am going to now to buy a car, but after yesterday I wouldnt send my mother in law there to get hassled. What a joke. Long story short I left because the new kid who tried to help but couldnt didnt know what to do and no one would help him. I was there an hour and they showed me two used cars and the outside of a new TDI. Very rude. to the first saleman, your rude and I hope you learn to respect customers. I cant believe you worked there two years unless you lied to me.

I have my 2010 VW Jetta and love it! Nemer VW were excellent and patient with me. After 1 year of test driving just about every car out there, i decided on the Jetta and Nemer Volkswagen worked with me to get exactly what I wanted! The service there is always fast and friendly. I loved my 2006 Jetta Turbo which I bought from a dealer north of Nemer. I had such horrible experiences with their service department that when I decided to trade in to buy a new Jetta I researched Nemer. Our sales guy Mike was awesome and so far the service department has been great.

I must say, that of all dealerships I've visited in the past few weeks, Nemer VW stands alone in a class by themselves. Their customer service & sales dept. were extremely knowledgeable & helpful without being pushy, rude or condescending. Rather laid back like that of a 1970's VW dealership. Their facility as a whole was outstanding & I'm very much considering buying from Nemer VW just so I can look forward to service/repair... though being a VW, I don't anticipate I would be there that often~ unfortunately. In fact, I'm so impressed with their overall operation, I'm thinking of submitting an application for employment at Nemer VW so I can be a part of their superior team. Either way, I'll be going back to Nemer very, very soon. Thank you Nemer for all your help & support. Go Team Nemer!!

If you do your homework, they are willing to listen to reasonable offers. I don't go to my closest VW dealer I drive 45 minutes more to deal with Nemer, it is worth the time to get a better deal and better service.

This is my first VW. It took me 3 months to find a new vehicle. I drove through the lot at Martin Nemer and saw the Tiquan. I didn't test drive it because I wanted to see what was out there. I kept coming to the Tiquan. I decided to drive it and absolutely loved it. Not only the car but the entire experience. The people at Nemer are extremely friendly and not pushy at all. I just took my Tiquan in for a 50,000 service and as with every other 10,000 mile service appointment everything was great. The service department is super friendly as is everyone else that I have dealt with at Martin Nemer VM in Latham, NY

I've been a Nemer customer for a few years with a couple of different cars and have found the service department be nothing but helpful and accommodating. My last visit had me fuming when I showed up, paperwork in hand from the sales rep (including service appointment time), to find that I wasn't in their service queue for the day. The service folks bent over backwards to get me in and my service completed in as quickly as possible. Previous visits have shown the service folks to be tireless in finding solutions to quirky electrical problems that have turned my our family's fleet (we currently have 3 different VWs on the road).

While all things have not been perfect when dealing with Nemer, anytime there was a problem it was dealt with immediately. I have never felt like I was brushed off. The staff has always been very friendly. The buying process was very cut and dry. My wife and I never felt like there was any funny business. Before we bought from Nemer, we were on track to buy from another dealer. We backed out because our dealings there felt "shaddy". None of those feelings were had at Nemer.

I didn't end up purchasing a car here, but only because after weighing things out, my personal preference led me in another direction. However, their customer service and the part of the negotiation process that I experienced were good. I don't like a run around! I was upfront and so were they...the way it should be!

I had always bought Chevy's and was looking for a change. I have loved my VW's. My first was from Nemer and Josh was great. The buying atmosphere is relaxed, they know they have a great product and don't have to push it. I'm now on my 2nd Passat and have to say that I love the service. Repairs are reasonably priced and they REALLY fix the problem. I plan on driving VW's for my lifetime and my kids plan to as well. Thank you.

I felt the buying process was adequate but nothing special. I would have liked the service to be a little more personal whereas I felt like I was just another number.

This was my first VW purchase and I have to say I have had a great experience with Nemer VW. Everyone has been polite, friendly and very helpful. I loved that before I left the dealership with my new car they made sure I knew how to use my car. We had such a great experience that my husband is thinking about buying a VW for himself.

I was going back, expecting to purchase my car after lease, or possibly turn it in. They made me such a great offer for a new lease that I could not turn it down. I really enjoy my new Passat. The whole process was very easy; I paid nothing out of pocket, got a new car, and have lower payments than I did before or would have had I purchased. All good.
