if I could go back and buy my Subaru at another dealership I would. Do not support this business with your money. I asked for my brakes to be inspected and was told they were in good condition. At my next service they told me my pads and rotors needed to be replaced. When I inquired about why they didn't change the pads at the last service like I asked I was told they had only done a "visual inspection". I don't know if they are incompetent or intentionally let the pads wear down the rotors. In either case they made a mistake and should take responsibility. Add on top of this their service is much higher price than others and it often took 2 to 3 hours for an oil change. When I buy my next Subaru it will not be from this dealership. Save yourself money and time and made your purchase anywhere else.

Most people compare their car buying experience to having a root canal. We've purchased two Subarus from McLaughlin Subaru and I've been pleasantly surprised both times. Jesse Lester is an informed, no pressure sales associate who really went the extra mile to get us in the right car, at the right price. We had no doubts about buying a Subaru (We've owned eight of them now) so it was just a matter of picking one with the options we wanted. No pressure from Jessie to upgrade, and we were under no pressure to commit before we were ready to pull the trigger. Once papers were signed, Jessie took the time to really go over all the new features of our new Outback, and encouraged us to come back anytime with questions or a review. I feel that we have formed a relationship that will serve us well for future purchases.

Jessie Lester , I'm Looking to make deal, but I thought the deal was falling, but Jessie made it work. The paper work was done and he walk us around the dealer ship. Then before leaving, which was getting late, he spent time with us on the details of the car bumber to bumber. And he said if we need any help in the future, please call him. They had refreshments for us which was very nice. Everybody I met was very nice. They even turn air condition up for us.

I have been looking around at other Subaru dealerships, but found Kim Hicks and the sales department at McLaughlin to be much easier to deal with. I had done some research about the Subaru Impreza a year ago, but we put that off in favor of buying a boat. Unfortunately, my wife's old car decided not to wait patiently for an extra year before dying. I went in knowing exactly what I wanted. McLaughlin had a couple models with everything I was looking for in a Sport Impreza.I went in expecting the worst, car salesmen have a bad reputation, like lawyers it comes with the territory I suppose. We got out and looked around for a few minutes before we were approached by Nathan Gorzney. We talked to Nathan, told him what we were interested in and also asked about what used Impreza inventory they had. He was courteous and friendly. We walked around a bit - it was a beautiful day - to look at the used stock, then we went inside to talk. We felt at ease and didn't feel any pressure. We talked about what we wanted and decided to test drive one of the Sport Premium Imprezas in the lot. Nathan did bring up looking at the Legacy, but I didn't feel any pressure to, rather it felt more like he was concerned since I am 6'3" with a large build, and I looked cramped in the Impreza since it is classified as a small car. While I don't have much room, the seat is still comfortable and the leg and head room are adequate. Also, my wife is 4'11", and the car is primarily for her.We ended up working with Nathan to purchase the car that day. Nathan and McLaughlin Subaru really try to make you feel at home and part of the family. The dealership was clean and bright, and everyone was friendly. We did finance part of the car, so we also worked with Joe and then Robert Coronado when we came back after lunch. Robert was friendly and patient while I read all the fine print. We ended up talking about the history of McLaughlin, which lead to me mentioning my job, and that led to talking about fishing, which turned out to be a common interest.Overall it was a great experience. Thanks Nathan and thanks Robert.

Bought a 2016 Subaru Outback from Brandan Taber after initially contacting dealer online. Got back to me promptly & reviewed vehicles in stock & awaiting delivery. Gave me an excellent price well below invoice. Set up delivery as soon as the vehicle was in stock. Vehicle was spotlessly prepped & ready to go when I arrived from Des Moines. He reviewed vehicle features with me. Financing guy was prepared, helpful & didn't push extras at me. I left the dealership an hour after I got there. Good people to do business with.

To start with, I do not like to shop.Recently purchased a Subaru Outback from McLaughlin Motors. From the moment I entered the dealership I was greeted by Matt Campbell with a friendly relaxed manner as he inquired as to what I was looking for. (for what I was looking.?) I had heard about the Lane Departure warning but was amazed at all the other safety features that are available. Needless to say, the enhanced qualities of the car require a lot of complexity, as confirmed by the thickness of the Owners Manuals. Matt patiently ( I am in my eighties) explained the operations of the many features. He also made it clear that he will be available for any questions I may have in the future.A happy Outback owner.

Sales person Kim Hicks was not only gracious but unusually well informed about the features on our new Subaru Outback. She gave my wife and I two hours of instructions covering every feature. This was done in an enclosed, air conditioned and private area and our new car sparkled with intentional attention to cleanliness. I knew the Outback better on the day I drove it home than I knew the Honda Odyssey I traded-in, after driving it ten years.Robert Cornado was very professional, but not pushy in explaining extended warranty, which we purchased, and other options.The dealer showroom is well equipped with a great assortment individually brewed specialty coffee and assorted pastries.Follow up included a shipment of delicious chocolate cookies, a gas card and a coupon for Whiteys ice cream.

My husband and I were in search of a used car for our teenage daughter and had bad experiences with other dealerships before finally going to McLaughlin. Our trust was hindered because of the initial dealerships we visited, and were skeptical at first because a '04 Saturn Ion we were interested in sounded perfect. At another dealership, they said the same thing but it was mechanically unsafe. This was not the story with McLaughlin. Our trusted mechanic even goes and gets his car there and he said they are a very reputable company. This made me feel more secure considering my previous experience with the other dealership mentioned previously. After getting it inspected, there was NOTHING wrong with the car. Back when we first stepped out of the car, they did not bother us like vultures like all the other dealerships. They were very polite,professional, and not pushy at all. We worked with Dan Machu, George McClean, and even the owner Greg Swanson and had a pleasant experience with them all.They treated us like family; they are the most professional dealership I have ever dealt with. I have peace of mind now that my daughter is driving in a safe,reliable car. We have already recommended them to many and will consider buying a new car at McLaughlin in the future.

When time approached for replacing my Toyota Venza, I first looked at the Volvo XC60. I liked the features of the car and have been impressed with the overall record of Volvo. However, I got distracted by the new Jaguar F-Pace and Cadillac XT5. I test drove both vehicles but decided to come back to the XC60. Greg Moroni was very helpful in this regard. He took the time to assist us with all of our questions and arranged for the test drive. He did not pressure us, but helped us in finding the right car (although it was not the car he first picked out for the test drive). Also, Brian Cox took considerable time to train us on the special features of the XC60. Both were very helpful, patient, and understanding in our desire to get the best car for our money. Even though I plan on moving soon, I have high regards for these sales professionals and will contact them again when the next vehicle replacement period arrives.

Recently purchased a 2016 Subaru Outback w/Eyesight (Lapis Blue). I didnt come to this decision easily or quickly (poor Scott). I conducted MONTHS and MONTHS of research before settling on this vehicle (Mercedes C and E Class owner since 2001). But Subaru has so many safety features that I received a LOT of insurance refunds from State Farm from my paid-in-full Mercedes policy (trade-in).. Comparing Subaru to other contenders left me feeling very confident with my decision. And let me add - hat's off to my wonderful salesperson, Scott Schnabel.....he truly earned my sale and I'll happily buy another vehicle from him and refer friends, family, and coworkers, too! When I went to McLaughlin yesterday I didn't know what to expect. I knew I wanted to see about leasing and what my options were and if I could afford a new Forester, for my husband and I have never had a brand new vehicle before. The first person I encountered was Matt Campbell, he is such a great guy, great stories to make you laugh and he was very knowledgeable about the Forester. Based on online reviews and our needs we had decided the Subaru Legacy Limited was the car for us. The local dealer had limited inventory and did not wish to negotiate so we found McLaughlin Subaru online. It was 82 miles away, in Moline, IL. we inquired about their ePrice on two Legacies and Kim Hicks responded immediately. After several e-mails we agreed on terms and we picked our new car up two days later. Kim was very helpful during the process so it went smoothly. What really stood out from the time we went through the doors he made the car buying experience more of a conversation than a sales pitch. My daughter who happens to be functionally artistic and her 78 year old grandmother bought a car from McLaughlin . They both exspressed to the salesman (Scott ) that she needed a reliable vehicle because my daughter lives in kewanee and travels to the quad cities frequently for work and school. They also purchased the warranty just in case something went wrong. After 7 months she was driving the car and it started to shake. She pulled into a ford dealership in kewanee and ford did not even have to put it up on the hoist to see that the whole back end was rusted out to the point that the ford dealership said she was lucky that the whole back end did not fall off and a serious accident could of occurred. When calling the dealership Scott replied it is not the dealership problem because they bought the car "as is" after talking to the attorney general office I found out a dealership has to provide " minimal standards on " as is " vehicles. And that McLaughlin has failed . Thank goodness the attorney general office gave us the proper steps to take to get this situation resolved. I would not recommend anyone to purchase a new or used vehicle from McLaughlin

I usually get annoyed shortly after entering a car lot with the sales person bombarding you and hovering. I really appreciated how Andrew Allmendinger kept his distance and only asked if I had any questions but didn't push. When I was ready to investigate further he had all the answers I needed. He was very informative in a practical way. Not just reciting out of the manual. When we decided to buy he walked us through seamlessly and kept us updated the whole way. Great follow up. I wanted to trade my 2015 Suburu Forester for a 2015 Suburu Crostrek. The saleswoman, Kim Hicks, was very helpful. She gave me a price for the new car and a sight-unseen value for my Forester which is in excellent condition. The amount was very low based on the Kelley Blue Book amount. She said the dealership would inspect my car and most likely raise that amount. When I brought my car in to be inspected and proceed with buying the new car the manager told me the deal was already concluded. They would not be inspecting my car and would not be reviewing the trade-in value. As far as the Blue Book value I was told they don't ever go by those amounts. This was the deal take it or leave it. I of course left it. I was lied to and treated rudely and being a woman by myself I think also figured into being treated so badly. I would not recommend dealing with this company.

Kim was so patient with me and hung on during Our wild and lengthy courtship. I first started looking at Subaru late last year. My first contact was via an online information request. We received many emails and telephone followup calls as to my inquires from Kim. Circumstances changed and I backed away from shopping until this past month. I was still in contact with Kim during this time period.This woman knows her stuff about Subaru and putting the customer at ease. We test drove both the Outback and a Forester and decided on the Forester. It took about a week for that just "right" one to come in but we are now Proud owners of a 2015 Forester. Kim was in contact with US giving updates and fielding more and more questions from me. At vehicle delivery she was so fussy about each and every detail of the Forester and the dealership. From explaining all of the bells and whistles to cleaning the windshield one last time. She even took a couple of pictures of Us before we drove away. Two days later came a welcoming happy voice on my telephone wanting to know if we had any questions or concerns. Totally pleased with the Forester and the whole buying experience!!! Thank You Kim and the entire staff at McLaughlin. We will recommend McLaughlin and only one sales rep, KIM HICKS, to anyone who asks about OUR Subaru and buying experience. :}

She had a good sense of humor, and never pushed us to make a quick decision. We felt she was very honest about the trade-in and the sale price, and there were no hassles. I asked them to verify that recall work had been done on my vehicle before I picked it up....and Jon Elliot and manager George McClean found and provided the info I asked for from the manufacturer, putting my mind at ease. Found a great car at a great price....and a better value than I found anywhere else. The no-cost deductible coverage and nitrogen tire service were a bonus surprise I discovered upon delivery. I had never driven a Subaru before going to McLaughlin. I was able to test drive 4 different models, ask questions about those models and went home with lots of information to make a final decision. The sales associate (Kim) was not pushy and was very helpful in my final choice. The financing department took time to go over different options with me and let the final choice be mine. I never felt like any person at McLaughlin made me feel like I needed more than what I was willing to pay for. I did my application on line, received a call from my sale person Dan Machu, I was infomation of all the details and was told come get your car. When I drove the 300 miles to get there it was all worthit. The car, paper work and the test drive was all ready. It only took about 30 minutes and all was finishAnything that one needed they had it available,gap insureance extended warranties, road side assistence ect.We will have my family and friends to take the drive, its worth it.

In 2012 we purchased a new Subaru Outback. The service experience after the purchase was not good. I recently found on the internet a Cadillac Escalade advertised at Mclaughlin . I went in to see the vehicle and initially spoke with Scott Schnabel and voiced my concerns of the past service issues. I even mentioned to him that i couldn't believe i was even looking here again.Scott worked very hard to restore my trust in McLaughlin and I was informed that many changes had occurred in the service department. We ended up purchasing a Cadillac Escalade ESV and Scott and Greg were very helpful with the purchase and Cadillac education .I am hoping for a positive outcome from the service department in the future. I gave the 4 star rating because it says for the dealership review. The sales staff would have been 5 star. The dealership itself still has to prove itself to me.

I did my research going into this purchase. I looked at all the information on the internet and even checked with three Banks "Lowest Price Guaranteed Buying services." I was truly prepared to negotiate. I met with Scott Schnabel found the car with the equipment I wanted and knew what price was reasonable. I had no intention on making a purchase that day and expected it would most likely take a few days to get to an agreed price. Scott asked me if he could get me a quote, I said sure and expected for them to start out ridiculous. I was shocked when he gave me the price, this is the first Dealer ever who presented me with an agreeable price from the start. I am impressed with their integrity and honesty. I highly recommend them! Another notable benefit of this dealership is that they all actually do work as a team. Scott, Gregg, Brandon, and Kim each treated me as if I was their soul customer. Their was no end fighting over who's customer I was, I never had to wait. If Scott was busy, Greg was right there to help me. I wanted to trade my DTS for something in the CTS line. I saw a low mileage car and called. This began my relationship with Scott. Working together, we were able to reach an agreement. Brian Cox was by far the best car sales associate I have ever worked with. Brian was patient and really listened to what was important to us in looking for a used car. Brian was explained in great detail what pros and cons went with each vehicle we were interested in. Brian showed us a wide variety of available vehicles and never pressured us to look at higher priced vehicles, to purchase immediately, etc. We never heard the typical "this vehicle won't last at this price", "I have another person real interested in this vehicle", etc. Brian went above and beyond and found other vehicles that we may be interested in that he could get for us after we had left. I have bought from several dealerships between the Quad Cities, but never been treated so well. A car ended up on their lot that I was very interested in. They were very fairly priced and willing to find every piece of information on this car's history that was available to ensure I felt comfortable in this vehicle. The dealership was very comfortable to work with and treated me very well though my price range was under what their "higher end" cars sell for. I was reccomemded Brian Cox and can not speak highly enough about the quality service I received from him. Very easy to work with, open/honest, and low pressure. He has checked in two time to simply make sure the car is a purchase I have been happy with and if there was anything further he could do. I have never written a review before but families out there need to know how great Brian and Mcgloughlin were to work with. When it is time for my wife to get a new car I know where I will be going!

Jilanne and the staff at McLaughlin Subaru went out of their way to give me an amazing buying experience! I was a first time new car buyer, so I was a bit nervous about the buying process. But in the end the experience was great! I never felt pressured in any way, and Jilanne gave me a thoughtful and well-researched response for every question I asked. I also was very impressed that Jilanne went out of her way to have the car detailed for me before I arrived, knowing that it may be difficult to get accomplished later in the afternoon on a Saturday. The staff in the financing department were great too. They were able to secure an interest rate for me that was even lower than Subaru's promotional rate at the time. I am so incredibly excited about my new Subaru Crosstrek and I can't thank Jilanne and everyone at McLaughlin Subaru enough for helping me get my dream car!

His follow through on this car was excellent from start to finish. He is probably the most honest salesperson that I have ever worked with in purchasing a car. I was not able to drive to Moline from Des Moines, Iowa so Scott drove the car to me, on his day off, to Des Moines, Iowa. The car was everything thathe said it was and we made the purchase. I am in my 70's and he went out of his way to personally help, what a great guy! I have never purchased a car on the internet before so this was a first. I came in about 3 weeks ago looking at a blue forester. i have always liked the look of them and i wanted to see one for myself. While i was looking at the car i was greeted by one of your employees, who happened to be Ms. Jilanne. I was not planning on purchasing a Subaru for a very long time, i just wanted to look at it. But the thing is, the more Jilanne talked to me about the car, the more i fell in love with it. Every question i had she had an immediate answer too and made all my doubts about the car fade away and i came to the realization what a great car it really is. When I test drove the car it was official, i had to have it. I have purchased numerous vehicles in the past but, Jilanne made the process very quick and very painless. After a negative experience with a Subaru dealership near me, I started looking on the internet and came upon the Mclaughlin Subaru website. I found the vehicle I wanted and made an inquiry. How fortunate I was to be contacted by Tim McDonough! He was amazing--honest, helpful, courteous, and caring. Truthfully, it was the best car buying experience I have had in a long while! Tim knew what I wanted right away and made the deal work. I was impressed with not only him, but the dealership, as a whole. The manager came in, thanked us for driving from Peoria, and asked about our buying experience. They took care of us from the moment we walked in until the time we left. The entire process was flawless. They prepared the car as we were finishing the paper work. There were a few smudges on the hood of the new car, and the body shop guy came right away and took care of them. Then, Tim sat with me in the 2015 Subaru Legacy and reviewed the car equipment. I only wish this dealership was closer, BUT it is worth the drive--believe me! I will return to buy from Tim and this dealership. From a teacher--Tim and the dealership earned an A+! Thank you!

Went to McLaughlin Subaru with my mother to help her buy a new car and make sure she got a good deal (actually to make sure she didn't get taken advantage of). Initially expecting an unpleasant afternoon of haggling and negotiations, I was soon pleasantly surprised that we were in for a completely different kind of car buying experience. Tim McDonough, our salesman, was extremely pleasant and welcoming. Throughout our visit, Tim's main interest seemed be making sure my mother got the car she wanted at a fair price and drove away happy. In addition, we had some concerns that required the Manager's involvement and he was also extremely pleasant and accommodating. In all, we had a very low pressure sales experience and drove away as satisfied customers. Would definately recommend this dealership. I'll be back when I need a new car.Thanks Tim!

The few times I have been into McLaughlin for service I always talk to Randy. Even though I am not a usual customer, because I own a Nissan, Randy treats me like a usual customer. He is always very kind and always gets the work on my car done very quickly. Randy knows his stuff whenever I have a question - he knows how to respond right away. McLaughlin was very efficient and helpful during my service to the body of my vehicle. They worked everything out with the insurance company and all I had to do was bring my car in and come pick it up. They cleaned the vehicle and left it looking brand new. I arrived a stranger in town with a Subaru Impreza that needed the 'check engine light' assessed. The service was fast, and the support staff were so helpful. As it turned out my car was also on a recall list. When they tested the Lower Control Arm they found it was rusted through and needed to be replaced. All went smoothly with the right side but the L side was so rusted it fell apart requiring extensive replacement parts. At ZERO cost to me, Beth, the amazing service advisor organized parts to be flown in overnight. They gave me a loaner car for the day and I just heard this morning that the parts arrived and I should be ready to hit the road again by early afternoon. I am on a road trip from my home in Maine to California for a new job; just imagine what could have happened if that arm had given way while I was driving at 70 mph on the I 80?I also want to thank Brian cox for his incredible help with services . I would not hesitate to consult Brian when choosing a new vehicle. thank you, thank you to all the staff at McLaughlins' Subaru of Moline.

I was not sure if I wanted to buy a new Subaru or not. I went to test drive them and worked with Brian to start. He was very helpful in showing me the features. A couple weeks went by while I contemplated buying (it had to do with a decision to give my then current car to my stepson who was going to California). I wanted a Subaru Outback but it only made sense to buy if the deal was good and the financing was in place. When I finally decided to buy, Brian was gone so I talked to KIm. She was awesome. She understood completely where I was coming from and discussed a couple possibilities on cars available or one that was in transit. I decided to get the car in transit and we worked out an acceptable deal on the car. Then waited a few days to see if it showed up. When it appeared it would not be there timely, Kim worked to find the car at another dealer and bring it to Moline. Kim was off the day the car was ready so Brian went over some functions with me and helped with setting up bluetooth etc. Everything worked out nicely.
