Tim Banyai was the car salesman I dealt with. All was well until I drove off with my vehicle. Repairs were to be done....got the run around ....finally got car into shop to be fixed an had it for a week. returned to me NOT FIXED. was supposed to take to different shop but never recieved a call back from Tim to set up !!! They wait till your 30 day warranty is up then never call you back. Still having problems with vehicle. I would not recemend this dealership to anyone !!!!

When I came in, I knew my credit was mediocre at best, but also needed a new vehicle. Derek was able to put me in a vehicle that I could afford, AND liked! What a nice situation. I have to start off, I am not typically the type to write reviews. I truly feel compelled to write one in this instance. I typically try to avoid used car lots due to the typical used car salesmen attitude you get. When I noticed that Signature Motors had the van I had been looking for I had to stop by and check it out. I was greeted by John who was very knowledgeable and friendly when it came to the vehicle and didnt seem pushy at all. I went home to think about it and do some research on my own. Everything John had mentioned was accurate, the price was very fair. So about fourteen hours later I was back in to purchase my new (to me) van! This was just over one month ago, I still couldn't be happier! The van has been flawless and I am still impressed with the whole transaction. I had to share! I will definitely be going back to Signature Motors for my next vehicle. Very Satisfied!

I bought a truck from a different dealer that wasn't as described and they wouldn't work with me, so I turned to NorthPointe Motors and they were awesome. I was in a time crunch because I had bought a new truck because I was moving across the country to another state ASAP for a job I was about to start. These guys helped me out so much, and really worked with me to find something that had 4wheel drive and was newer, but not too expensive because of having to take a bit of a loss when I traded in that other truck. I had trouble finding a truck that I could finance long enough to have a payment that wasn't too high. Robert and Aaron worked with me and my dad and really saved my butt!!! 100% reccomend these guys they work with you and are amazing

I just bought a Ford explorer from Aaron Lawes about 3 weeks ago and I got t-boned in it . No one was hurt but it did get my Ford totalled. I didn't know what to do I owed a lot of money on the Ford that I could not drive . I was told by Liz at magnum finance to go and talk to Aaron . So I did... between Aaron and Liz and Dennis Craig they were able to get me into another Ford explorer I don't know how but they did and I am so thankful I don't know how to even express it to them . I have been to many car dealers in my life and most are high pressure, then when they learn your credit is not the best or worse, they seem eager to help, yet once you choose a car or truck, they want to lift the price on your payments or suggest a lesser car for what you wish to pay. Aaron did none of these things. he spoke with me, and called me as well while we worked together, that's right, TOGETHER, to help me purchase the car I had come to see and wanted to buy. Aaron has finally made me believe that there are salesmen out there who still want to see a client drive out in the very car they want, not the one that the lot says they need. I am very happy with my Highlander and can say that it is the nicest car I have owned yet. Thanks, Aaron.

Everything started out well salesmen was friendly. I filled out the credit app and waited a few days and didn't hear anything so I tried connecting my salesmen. Never could get ahold of him the next day they pulled my credit report I found out through my credit karma alert. Waited a few more days and no contact.

I purchased a 2007 GMC Acadia from Northpointe June 2015. The car had 97,000 miles on it, very clean, everyone was very helpful, didn't seem to have a problem getting into the car. However the car started falling apart within 30 days of owning it, and it continued to fall apart over the following 10 months. After putting over $2400 into repairs and having a new estimate of thousands more needed, we asked Northpoint to make it right. They have gone above and beyond to make sure that we are taken care of. They let us borrow a car until we could get a replacement car since ours wasn't safe enough to make the hour drive home. They quickly started working out the details on the replacement and we feel heard and very satisfied to know we weren't going to be stuck with a car that seemed to have never ending problems. We appreciate all their hard work and their efforts to make sure we were taken care of. Thank you Northpointe Motors.

My credit is in pretty rough shape after the recession and a lot of medical bills. It's been over eight years since I last financed a vehicle. I'm very great full for the resources Northpoint is able to provide for someone in my situation. Robert was very helpful right from the beginning. He listened to what I wanted and didn't stray from that as many sales representatives would have. They even let me put a small amount of money down to hold the vehicle until I was able to save the rest of the down payment. The whole process was enjoyable and painless. I truly appreciate Northpoint and especially Robert for giving me another chance at the pride of owning a nice vehicle. I love my new truck!!! Thank you.

I personally did not buy, my fiance did. She was treated with the utmost respect. I couldn't be more happy with the way she was treated. As I work out of town, I was worried she was going to be " taken" by the salesman, as I talked to her periodically through her purchase, I felt more comfortable step by step. Salesman treated her very well and even offered to text pictures of the vehicle to me, and offered different mechanics for her to get the car checked out, before any signing was brought up. Very professional and helpful. Will be a returning customer!!

I was in the market for a used vehicle. After submitting an inquiry I was contacted and made an appointment. Upon arriving, the person I was scheduled to meet with was not available. Not a big deal. However, the vehicle I requested to test drive was not even at the dealership. I drove an hour to test drive this vehicle and I couldn't even look at it. My husband and I looked around the lot and found another vehicle we were interest in. I was basically told I wouldn't be able to be financed for it and they attempted to strong arm me into a "similar" vehicle with just as many miles as the vehicle I was driving had. Needless to say I left very disappointed that I had wasted my time. A week later I was financed and drove off the lot with a much nicer vehicle from another dealership.

My fiance' and I were in an immediate need for a vehicle when we found Northpointe Motors. My fiance' being an over the road trucker made a purchase difficult as he was not around to sign. I picked out the vehicle and test drove-meanwhile my fiance' handling all business negotiations over the phone. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us! Once we decided on a vehicle the dealership overnighted the paperwork to my fiance's next delivery location and he simply signed and overnighted the paperwork back. I was then able to pick up our vehicle with no issues remaining! Excellent work staff!

I was in the market for a new truck and stopped into northpointe but didn't see anything that I really loved. They took down my info and said they had some more trucks coming in soon. A couple days later I got a call from Tim that he got a new truck in. I came to the dealership later that day and he had a black 2011 Dodge ram pulled up. I was instantly in love! They found the exact truck I was looking for! When I took it for a test drive I couldn't believe there was only 12k miles on it!!! It was basically a brand new truck. I had so much better luck getting financing through my own credit union with Northpointe Motors compared to other dealerships who didn't want to work with me or my credit union. I was able to pick out my vehicle, take it for a drive, get all the paperwork done, and drive it home all in the same day. Tim and Aaron were great. Can't wait to but my next vehicle from you guys!!

I visited on Saturday January 23rd. I am young, no credit built yet and my first beater car broke down on the 22nd. I applied to several places but got a call back from North Pointe Motors right away to come in with just a few things so we could size me into a car. I thought I was going to go through this process and come out with nothing, but the entire team worked together to help me get into a vehicle that was not only good for me business wise, but personally too! I couldn't be happier with the results of this transaction or with the way the team treated me. This was my second time around with North point. My first time it was not as nice hopped but I continued working on my credit and came back after paying the first loan.... now that was high as heck.. but this time I got a 06 jeep Comander now....not in the best of condition but northpoint repaired a few front end things for the support and now it runs better than any other vehical I've owned. (Water pump and drive shaft - now wheelbearings ... but not abnormal for 150000 miles. ) all in all they worked at it to make sure the vehical was great... and that I was happy..... just make sure you ask questions...it helps to understand the entirety of the process.! Good luck and shop smartly. Know your score and kniw your price range!.;)

Purchased a car last Saturday, and worked with Tim, Robert, and the finance guy Aaron. I got a good deal on the truck I was looking at but the interest rate was a little high (13%) but my salesperson Tim told me that they might be able to get me a better rate on Monday when more banks were open. I was satisfied with payment at 13% and bought the truck. I didn't think I would hear back about a lower rate,but sure enough Monday morning came and Tim called me and said to come back in, they had gotten me a better rate 6.49%! I couldn't believe it, so I went back in and signed some paperwork and left with a lower payment and interest rate. Thank you!

i must admit i was highly skeptical of the instant bid made by Nortpointe motors for a car i decided to sell. the bid was Considerably higher than that of the dealer from whom i had bought the car three years earlier and, frankly, i didn't believe a car dealer would actually honor a price they gave online. damned if they didn't though. i took the car to their inspection site in Gaylord and walked away with a check for the agreed upon price.all that said, the deal never would have happened but for Michelle's prompt & constant follow up by phone and email. as late as 1/2 hour before i was to leave for Gaylord i called Michelle to grill her on whether "this was on the level." it was, she was and, sad as i am to have sold the car, i am grateful to Michelle for hanging in with me and resolving my doubts. i am not someone who rates services online, but in this case i do give Michelle five stars. high marks for Samantha as well.

I came upon Lance Reed with Northpoint while looking for a diamond in the Northern Michigan rough. I felt immediately at ease with his genuine personality. He asked me pertinent questions.... while letting my gabby personality shine. Even though my needs were particular and honestly.. a bit difficult, Lance was confident he could get me into something. When looking for a car we had gone to other dealers thinking they would be the best for us and in return they wanted 3,000 down and 400 a month. So even though we were nervous about going to Northpoint we thought we would give it a try. And now i am proud to say that day we drove off the lot in a 2008 Chysler Sebring most sexy car in my opinion! I love it!!! Jared listened to what we needed in a car and found us what he thought would be the best and he was so right! We had two small issues the tire needed replaced and the tail light was out and to my surprised they agreed to fix the issues for us. Please never believe other poeple you need to experience for yourself! I can Garentee i will be going back very soon for another car since my boyfriend keeps trying to take me car instead of his now. LOL

the staff at northpointe motors were very friendly, helpful and easy to talk to. they were not pushy as all the other dealers that we went to. they found just the vehicle that we were looking for with all the options that we wanted and at the price we wanted to spend. they even got us a very great interest rate with low monthly payments. we would and will recommend northpointe motors to anyone and everyone. as for the staff they treated us as if we were their real family, and i will be going there for my next vehicle in the very near future. i only have two thumbs but i give all northpointe motors staff a 10's thumbs up. i can't wait for my next trip to t.c. to see what they have and just pop in to say hi to the staff there.

I lot of people don't like "used" car salesmen because they are: shady, fast-talking, and untrustworthy. Most people expect that when they go to a dealership. It is refreshing to NOT see that at Northpointe. Their salespeople are down-to-earth, and put you at ease right away. Zane was very accomodating to our schedule and needs. The experience from the moment we stepped on the lot to the moment we drove off was professional and we felt like we got a good vehicle at a good price. I would recommend Northpointe to my friends and family.

We titled our review as not what we were looking for because when we were looking for a second car, we wanted a larger SUV than the Ford Explore we have now, which we bought from NPM in 2008.and at 210,000 miles its still running everyday. Zane wanted us to look at the Ford Flex and right off we were not interested at all. Zane said here take the keys and drive it, if you don't like it, we'll move on. Well, about 10 miles later, we started to like it. The more we drove it the more it became the car we really wanted and needed for everything we do as a family. Of course being a used car there were some issues, however Zane wrote down everything that we found to be an issue and had everything fixed to our satisfaction before we closed the deal. This is our third purchase from NPM and most likely not our last as we have three young drivers coming of age.

Bought an 04 neon in July had only 8 months. Now being told motor is falling out, needs new plugs and wires again that where replaced remind you 8 months ago when I got the car. Also engine mounts, oil pressure sensor, all new struts, has needed since day one was promised would be fixed before I signed to buy car. Now all a run around they already soaked too much money into car, so they can't anymore. Warrentied only covers $588 in repairs which is rocker cover gasket, trans. Silinoid pack, and trans. Pan seal really. Bill still for everything not covered $2,000 talk about warrenties JOKE. I traded in a car for a more reliable one $2000 would easily fixed my old car. Sooo going somewhere else. Try talking to Rob who sold me car acted as if he didn't care, couldn't work with me anymore, said oh you have to go to cadillac lot. Biggest mistake you'll make, run while you still can

As you can tell by my title I was down on my luck, going through life issues, just landed a new job and before I could get my first pay check to my new job my car was repo'd. I had heard about buy here pay here places but none of them had happy reviews. As I was bumming another ride to get to my job we were passing Northpointe Motors in Cadillac. I had my friend pull in & I never thought I would be driving away the same day with my own vehicle. From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted and treated with excellent customer service. The manager Shawn was beyond understanding and treated me with the up most respect. We went over my situation and when he asked me what type of vehicle I could see myself in I was shocked. I asked him, do I even have the right to ask that after having my previous auto repo. He smiled and said yes you do, here at Northpointe we look at everyone's situation and evaluate it as its own. Shawn went on to explain that not only will we get you in an auto that you like, can afford but this will help you to rebuild your credit. I just bought my 8th car from these guys, a nice low mileage GMC Yukon. The process was quick and painless they had the car I was looking for in about two weeks and all I had to do was show up, sign some forms and drive away. I have been buying cars from these guys since I had no credit and they have helped me build my credit score to the point where I get financed at the lowest rates with zero problems by any bank or credit union I choose. I just purchased my 8th car from these guys, a really nice low mileage GMC Yukon and it was about as painless a transaction as they come. I had a major accident and totaled my car. I didn't think I'd get a loan on my own because I have a very limited credit history and I knew my parents wouldn't co-sign for me (they already did that once). I was afraid to go buy a car on my own but when I went to Northpointe Motors in TC they made me feel comfortable. They didn't pressure me at all. Mitchell was very helpful getting me into a car that I liked and could afford. They were even able to get me a great interest rate with a local credit union. I was totally surprised and really happy!!!!The car I picked was a 2009 Pontiac Vibe GT - it had a cracked windshield but had a one owner Car Fax report and no accidents. Northpointe had my windshield fixed about a week later by a local company and the guy actually came to my work to fix it. That was awesome because I work several jobs and didn't have time to take it to a shop.The car also came with a 3,000 mile or 30 day warranty at no extra charge so I felt confident that if I had any problems they'd fix it. This was another major reason I decided to buy from them.I'm so thankful they were able to get me a great car with financing on my own when I really needed it. I have referred all my friends to them.

I absolutely hate writing negative reviews on local businesses in my area however, Im hoping my report saves people the time and hassle of purchasing with this dealership.At the time, I was not in the market for a new car but, I had been keeping my eyes out for this exact make/model that Ive wanted for awhile. Then there it was, sitting in the Northpointe TC dealership. I pulled into the lot, after hours, and did a few walks around it. I decided to stop in the next day and speak to someone about possibly purchasing the carA few hours later, I was driving out in the new car. I ended up fininancing a portion of the cost with loan (that they got for me, which had a very awesome rate). Before I left, they agreed on putting new tires, a windsheld, and repairing the power steering pump (it was whining). Im still a happy customer.A week goes by and I decide to fix the power steering pump myself (to save everyone some cash and I was bored on a summer day). I tell Northpointe and only ask for the cost of the parts needed. They dont comply for some reason. Fine, I understand. I did something without running it by them first. I bring up the tires and windsheld they say that theyll have someone call me within a day to go over it.Another week goes by, no response. I call and ask them what the deal is. They said that theyre having issues with their Bell Tire account and that itll be a little while before we can get the new tires on. Fine by me. Lets get the windsheild fixed. The guy tells me that the windsheild company is backed up a month I ask for their contact information, they give it to me. I call the windsheild company and ask if theyve been contacted by Northpointe. They say that they havent surprise. I go ahead and schedule a windsheild replacement and let Northpointe know about it. Theyre cool with it and the windshield is fixed the following week.Back to the tires, still nothing. My sales rep says that they can cut a check for a portion of the tires (instead of waiting). Im cool with that. He advises me to stop in the following week to pick the check up. So, I stop by one day after work no check. I wait 2 hours for someone with the authority to get back to the office and write it up with me. Fine. Im out the door, check is deposited, and new tires installed a few days afterwards.All in all, this process so far has taken approximately 2 months. It gets worseOne day, on my way home from work, the car dies. Im able to get it started back up fine but, I dont risk it. I have it towed back to my house and then to a repair shop in town. The guys say that the oil is very dirty. Weird, I got an oil change after I purchased the car and have only driven it 200-300 miles since. I ask the shop guys what would cause this they give me one response, poor maintenance. Not cool with me because I take pride in keeping all of my vehicles in excellent working condition (I have the same make/model 10 years older than this Northpointe vehnicle, over 300k miles, and it drives perfect). I report this issue to my sales rep at Northpointe the day it happens.A month later, the same issue happens. However, Im unable to restart the car. I have the vehicle towed to a Subaru specaility shop in Traverse City. They tell me the same thing, motor is bad because of poor maintenance. Except this time, they say that a rod has broken and the car will need a new motor! Im completely shocked and pissed off. I immedaitely call the dealership and speak to my sales rep. He says to just get an invocie for the repair and send it over to him via email. I do just that and call to verify hes received it. He tells me that hes going to take the invoice to the owners to figure something out. At this point, Im starting to think that they knew something was up with the car before I purchased it.Two days pass with no communication from Northpointe, I call and talk to my sales rep. He says that the owner will call me to discuss. Two more days pass, the owner still hasnt called. I call back and he again tells me that the owner will call. One day passes, the owner, Ryan Craig, finally calls me.Ryan tells me that there isnt anything they can do, other than to trade the broken car in for a different car and Id have to eat the cost difference in the loan not an option for me. I still want the car and I want it fixed. He says that he wants to help me out and that hell have to talk to the other owner (his father) about what they can do. I ask about the warranty situation and he says that there was only a 30-day warranty available (I wasnt ever asked if I wanted to purchase an extended warranty but, thats beside the point now). I just purchased an $18,000 vehicle and theyre not going to stand behind it? Id understand if the motor had blown a year or two after the purchase but, 60 days? Who did I really just buy this car from? Thats not how reputable business is done. AnywaysI go back and forth with Ryan (and his father, Dennis) for about 3 months. He asks me to tow the car from repair shop to repair shop in hopes of getting a better quote (I had to pay for these tows, mind you). During this time, he implys more than once that theyll cover a portion of the repair (why wouldnt they if hes asking me to take the car from one shop to another). At this point, Im fed up. I take it back to the shop I originally took it to.I tell Ryan that the car is going to get repaired. Im willing to cover the 50% deposit to start the repair and he agrees to covering the final payment. The total of the repair is $9200. The repair is started and is finished a week later. I call Ryan (on his personal cellphone) and get no response. I text him (on his personal cellphone) and get no response. I call Dennis, no response. I call the dealership and leave multiple messages, all ignored. I stop into the dealership looking for a check Ryan isnt there. I wait 3 hours for him to get back into the office, he never shows. Hes completely avoiding me now.The repaired car sits at the shop for 2 weeks before I decide to cover the reminder of the payment. Ive just paid an extra $9200 on top of my original $18000 purchase. I have no words for how I feel at this point.To this day, Ryan Craig still ignores my calls and text messages.So please, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. Please save yourself the hassle. Please advise your friends and family members not to purchase from this company.

I was looking for a used F-150 with 8 ft bed. The photo material I found online about this truck was much better than what I have seen from other dealers plus a free CARFAX report was also provided. A lot more photos and a detailed description of the truck's features. I contacted Northpointe Motors through email with multipe requests each of them with a number of very detailed questions were answered in a timely manner by Michelle R. During the information requesting period I was even informed that the truck has been moved to one of their other dealerships. Michelle really went above and beyond to get me the required information about Heavy Duty Payload Package, Max Trailer Tow Package, Safety Label, Trailer Hitch Label etc. She really gave me the felling of a valued customer. At the end I did not buy the truck there as I found the same truck with less milage (higher price of course) much closer to my home. Nevertheless, it was an excellent experience - I definitely would consider Northpointe Motors for my next car purchase.

I had previously written a review for Northpointe Motors in TC regarding all the issues I had with a vehicle I purchased from them a month ago. I had brakes problems, which they fixed immediately, but within a week or two after that, 3 weeks after buying the vehicle, I had other issues that came up including; BAS lights coming on, Airbag light coming staying on, cheap brakes put on my car, smoke on the passenger side, and a ticking sound underneath the hood. All of this happened within 2-3 weeks of me buying this vehicle. I was stressed because of the amount of time it was taking away from my work to set up appointments to get my car looked at, the phone calls back and forth to the dealership and auto repairs shops, and I was concerned with the amount of money this was going to cost me and not having a vehicle to drive to and from work, I live 45 mins away from work, I'm a real estate agent and a vehicle is needed for my job, it's not as though I can just get dropped off, and I have a child that is involved in many activities. I had asked for the owners help in all of this and to my surprise he called me. Not days later, but he called me the minute he was informed of these issues. The owner has taken the initiative to resolve the issues, and make things right. How many dealerships can we say that about? How many owners of dealerships will actually call you back? Northpointe Motors or Ryan Craig (the owner) could have easily said, you purchased a used car you are on your own, sorry. To my surprise, they really do care about what happens after that dotted line is signed. Thank you Ryan!!!!

I had "every" intention of taking the time to write a good review, because I know how important reviews are in this kind of business. I understand because I too am in sales, I have been a Realtor in Traverse City for over 15 years. I am not one to write bad reviews, I may have written one bad review in the 40 years I have been alive. When you buy a vehicle especially from a dealership, you really look to them to be honest with you, and hope that they are looking out for your best interest. The purchase of a vehicle is one of the most expensive purchases you make in your lifetime. So you want honesty, and confidence in your sales person/dealership, just as you would in your real estate agent if you were buying or selling property. I had been having problem after problems with my Subie and knew it was time to buy a car. I had just started a new job in April, and knew I could not be taking any more time off of work to continue down this path of getting repairs done on my car. I met Tim Banyai, who was more than helpful with finding me a newer car. I was in a bit of a pinch because the day I put my Subie up for sale I had a bidding war on it and it sold within 2 hrs. I understand I did provide Tim a lot of time in the search for a newer vehicle for me. I admit with the time frame I gave Tim he did in fact find me a vehicle that I liked, one that would be great in the winter as well as decent enough to drive my clients around in. My problem is that the day I took it home, I noticed the brakes were squealing badly but only when I went down a hill, and the air bag light was on all the time, the BAS light came on intermittenly. I thought the air bag light was supposed to be on all the time, I thought that was normal, it was letting me know the air bags are turned on. Apparently, that is not so. I had since contacted my sales person, he suggested I get the car in to get it looked at and they would cover the brakes. Ok so this meant I had to "miss work" again, find someone to pick me up at the auto repair place, have someone drop me off at work, bring me back to auto repair place when car was done, this was just to have it "looked at." This does not include having do all of the same once I actually schedule the repairs. Remember I had just spend the last 2 months having repair done after repair for my subie and I just started this new job. Now I'm responsible for making the phone calls while at work, setting up the appointment while at work, and figuring out a ride for myself while at work. And this is a new car to me. I did not want to buy a car that needed repairs right away. I get the brakes fixed, they seem just ok. I noticed I still have to press hard to get the car to brake, brake dust is all over, I have pictures, and the brakes squeel badly, and smoke coming out the passenger side of brakes/or under the hood. The smoke or maybe all of it is from a caliper. I am told that I need to call Appearance Unlimited to deal with the brakes, and per Tim Banyai at Norhtpointe Motors, Northpointe will not cover brakes that work. What about the air bag light? The ticking sound under the hood? The smoke coming out from under the hood or passenger side brakes/caliper? This is a 2010 Dodge Journey, just bought it last month (June 2014) and these are all of the problems I am already experiencing. What do I think they should do? They should offer to "pick up" my car, leave me with a car, take my car into one of their shops, have it thorougly inspected, mainly the items I have listed, fix the issues, cover the costs, drop my car back off to me when it's finished and pick the car back up that they are courtesly offered me so I can keep working so I can pay for this very expensive, 25% interest rate vehicle they have sold me. Bought a taurus, drove fine at first then week later developed idling issues,coolent leak, ALL four springs were busted. they fixed only 3 springs and said we signed and bought it. We paid for our own mechanic to do a safety insepction,then they told us we had to take it to their mechanic,and then they only looked at was told by us. Never did a full insepction. Go somewhere else!
