when I called Jake telling him I just wanted to "test" drive a Ford Escape" He told me I had to give him my S.S number and also a deposit. He took out 500.00 and after the test drive I didn't like the Escape so he said he would put my 500.00 back into my checking account. instead of putting it back in he took out another 500.00 , when I called him I was told it was being put back in, but when I called my back I was told NO it was being taking out again. I had to get my bank to get a dispute going so I could get my 1,000 back which after a while I finally did. then I started getting mail from several different loan companies denying me a auto loan which I didn't even apply for. Come to find out Jake was still applying for me a auto loan and I was being turned down for lack of information. the reason why he did this is so my credit score would drop down which is did a lot. Here are the many inquiries Jake ran on me.. my credit score use to be in the high 800 before I went to Northtown automotive in Yankton SD, I'm now in the low 700 thanks to Jake.Feb 1, 2014 You have 14 credit inquiries on your credit report.Feb 8, 2014 You now have 16 hard credit inquiries on your report (2 added)Feb 23, 2014 You now have 21 hard credit inquiries on your report (5 added).

I bought my first car here in 2007 and I still have that car today. Me and my wife have been wanting to get a bigger vehicle for our growing family. We stopped in once before with questions and there was no pressure to buy. We actually just stopped in today to see what we would need to do the improve our credit so we could get one. To our surprise they were able to get us financed very quickly and we drove home our new car. I will always buy my vehicles from Northtown and always bring my cars there for service. Only place I trust to work on my cars also. I believe that's it's the best dealer in South Dakota.

The entire staff is very pleasant and knowledgeable. We shopped 4 different dealerships and Northtown was the only place that took the time to listen and explain everything to us. Very patient and friendly. The facility is new and spotless. We will definitely be back for our next vehicle purchase.

I found the used truck I have been looking for online at this dealership. Living 3 hours away, i was able to call and email back and forth concerning the potential deal and trade in. From experiences in the past, I was afraid I would be upsold once I got there. This was not the case, they honored our agreement and made the deal! They got me in and out in under two hours! This was much shorter than the 8 hour ordeal my last car buying experience was at home. They did not try to sell me a bunch of garbage i didn't want or need. They have the product, the price, and the service to earn your business! My next car purchase will involve another 3 hour road trip and i can't wait! Thank you!

Very high pressure sales. Twisted prices around from their advertised flyer, amazing first day flyer came out that the 5 priced low sold within the first hour. Doubtfull, more like bait and switch. Bad followup service. Salesman write their own reviews. I don't know how anyone can have perfect reviews. Or how the same man has been expecting a baby for 4 months now, that's "due any day."

Visited the dealership on two different occasions. The staff is friendly and you are treated with respect. Purchased a used vehicle from them and was with my daughter when she purchased a new vehicle. I have known the owner of this dealership for many years. It is a nice place and a comfortable lobby.
