I called Keith because it was time for my first oil change for (Candy) my 2016 Equinox. He set up my appointment. I arrived everything was taken care of. I like just staying with one person. I feel they get to know me and I get to know them. I have dealt with Keith since 2014 when I had the 2014 Equinox (Candy). He has always been polite and respectful.

I placed a search on the Internet on October 23, 2016. The next day I was contacted by Ozzie Turner (New Car salesman). He was very professional and enthutiastic over the phone. After our initial conversation I felt like I knew him for a while! He didn't pressure into anything. Later in the day I went to visit the dealership. Thanks to Ozzie, Shanise ( Finance Manager) .everything worked out for my situation. I left with a brand new car with features I thought I would never have!!! During the visit I left to get my daughter from school and returned. They made her feel welcomed and gave her a red ballon that made her day. I am happy to say that I was turned away but other dealers and became a part of a winning team!

I created an appointment online and brought in my 2010 Traverse for its recalls and TSBs at Bowie Chevrolet. Buddy Reio was my service advisor; he is very nice, friendly, courteous and responsive. Buddy called to inform me that there would be significant repairs to my vehicle. Buddy explained my repairs and argument to Brian Blakeslee (Service Director). Brian then contacted GM to explain my issue and GM offered to assist with the repairs. I would like to THANK Brian for taking the time to call on my behalf for the assistance and goodwill. Buddy & Brian are extraordinary and professional in handling the service of my vehicle in a timely manner. Oh, TECH. 453 that performed all the work is the BEST!!! Ozzie my sales person, Chris Goins the sales manager Hassan Mansour are AWESOME! I had been having some mechanical issues with my vehicle for the past year and a half. I could not take it anymore bringing the car back and forth to service for repairs. I brought my vehicle this year of April and here it is August and my car have a shake to it when it's at a complete stop. I took it to service 3 times and they weren't able to fix it all they could tell me it's the characterist of this vehicle. The vehicle wasn't doing it when I first purschased it. I called the Gm 7 times still no call back and I left messages but when I was in there the other day she was on her cell phone. I would never reccomand this dealership to anyone.

Wife and I traveling to wedding at USNA in Annapolis. All of a sudden we experianced transmission problems. Tow truck carried us to dealership where we were treated beyond expectations. Brought in my 2006 Corvette for 50k servicing after completion vehicle fan belts were squealing very loud don't know how they missed this even after being road tested I was told they spilled lubricant on the pulley area spilled lubricant was not thorouhly cleaned off engine or hoses and air induction was not secured very disappointed

I have been taking my cars to Buddy Reo for about 30 years. Car dealerships close and open, and I buy different model cars, but it seems I always find Buddy to take care of my vehicles. He treats me and my cars as special whenever I take my car in for service. He listens to my 'lists' and makes sure I am happy with all the issues or routine care. Back in the 80s when I was a single mom with one car, Buddy understood what work and safety meant to me and always made sure I was back on the road again as quickly and safely as possible. The mechanics don't give me back my car unless all my issues are resolved. I never dreaded going to the service dept!!! I recently bought a new car and I hope our paths cross again soon.

I bought the Camaro SS2 at this place. The first guy I talked with, Chris Johnson, thought I owed it to him to buy the car. Got rid of that guy and got another. Bought the car. Financing: got hit rapid fire with all the options, totally unintelligible. Asked to give everyone a top rating, ridiculous. Out in the parking lot later with the sales guy discussing a ZL1 that a friend wanted. Unexpectedly, Lew Gilinsky calls the sales guy and he leaves in mid sentence w/o a backward glance. They lost the sale of the ZL1. The message at this place: "get the money". Tell the customer afterwards: "Don't come back unless you want to buy something."

I brought my vehicle to them because it would have trouble starting periodically. First time they said it was some connections, second time they replaced the fuel pump, and third time they couldn't find anything. Told me they couldn't test it until it failed again. After a week I picked it up and later this evening I got stuck again because it wouldn't start. I paid for services and no issue was resolved.

I was told by cheverlet of Bowie dealership that i was a valued customer, but when i took my vehicle in for service I realized that they didnt value me at all. I had an appointment for service, i arrived 15 minutes early and the service rep took a person straight of the street that did not have an appointment in front of me. That person and myself had the same exact issue with our vehicles, but i was told that they took him first becasue he was paying with cash and that i was paying with an extended warranty. I was appalled, i reached out to the service manager and he confirmed that this is what they practice at this dearlership. He never apologized for his staff or the dissapointment in service that i received. I then reached out to the general manager but never receieved a response. This so called valued customer will never return.

This email is in reference to the recent service on my 2012 Chevy Captiva at the Ourisman Chevrolet of Alexandria and Bowie. I purchased my vehicle in July, 2014 from CarMax White Marsh. I purposely also purchased the MaxCar Extended Warranty for my vehicle for peace of mind. Soon after having the vehicle, I began to have trouble with the car. Service Traction Control would flash on dash, the vehicle would blink in out affecting the radio anytime a turn signal was used or the window rolled up or down. The radio soon went completely out and there was no sounds in the car. Soon after the vehicle would just completely shut downno power. It also would not respond to a jump and to the point where I would be stranded. I took my vehicle to the Ourisman Chevrolet in Alexandria in July, 2015 and after having the vehicle for two days, was informed that I needed an oil change. This was baffling to me as I was up to date with my oil changes and even had the most recent receipt reflecting the change, but I did not complain. I paid the $124 and the vehicle was working fine. Fast forward a few months later (November, 2015), I started to have the SAME exact issues with the vehicle. After purchasing a home in Bowie, I elected to go to the Ourisman of Bowie on Governors Bridge Road because it was closer to my new home. My vehicle had to be to be towed into the dealership because it again shut down. I explained to the gentleman exactly what was happening, that this was happening before and they told me I only needed an oil change. This time, I was informed it was the battery. I paid over $400 for a new battery and labor in November. Again the vehicle was working ok. Until this last past week where AGAIN the same exact things are happeningService Traction Control, blinking power, no turn signal sound and no radio. I called to the Bowie Chevrolet, left a message for the manager- I have received no return callthat was almost a week ago.At this point, I am beyond frustrated with the level of service that I have received from Ourisman. I believe it is because I have an extended warranty, the dealership is avoiding going thru the process required and needed to fully understand what is wrong with my vehicle. The exact same symptoms the car was having the first time, is still happening. I have full oil and a new battery from November. What will be the excuse now? I have a 7 year old son and am a single mother. It frustrates me even more that I am out with my son and my vehicle completely SHUTS DOWN. I have learned to pop the hood and place my keyyes, my keyon the positive side of the battery which gives us enough charge to get home.I am requesting that someone of managerial delegation contact me immediately to schedule a time to bring my vehicle in for a full diagnostics. I have paid roughly $600 to Ourisman and I feel as though I have been taken advantage of because I am woman and because I have an extended warranty.

I bought a brand new Silverado, took it home and realized I made a big mistake. I'm dumb, I know. I called the dealership and said how I've overstretched myself financially and would like to return the vehicle, they said no.... but they could buy it back. I said okay, and made clear that I was expecting to take a hit. They offered me $5k below what I had just paid it for it 24 hours earlier. Serves me right, you say? Maybe, except I took it to two other dealers and they offered only 2k less than what I bought it for. So I am left with no other explanation other than Ourisman's offer was exploitative and mean spirited - not how customers should be treated.

If you're looking for a good deal. terrific bonuses and rewards. as well as the friendliest and most professional service ever....you have to check out Ourisman Chevrolet of Bowie?. I researched many dealers and their prices/discounts for about two weeks....they topped in all categories. You can work with them over the internet(Meredith is superior). Many internet dealers just sent an email response saying 'hello and let's talk'. I selected an "e=quote" when I reached out; only Ourisman gave me that, and backed it up, Their appraisal beat out several other dealers. They even beatout the TruCar Value quote! And then when it came to service, top kudo's to Derrick Banks and Bert. We laughed, had a good time,and I ended up with a better deal than expected! How many dealers can offer that?? The entire team, even in the Service Department, seem like a terrific family. I was taken through the Service Department and introduced to the team, explaining Keith will be my personal rep on visits. How awesome is that. I feel like I've been adopted into a professional and fun family. I wasn't the typical customer as I arrived with the car/stock#, my quotes from Edmunds, Carmax, and Kelly Blue Book, not to mention my own bank financing. But Derrick was patient,understanding, and the team worked right along with us. Bert got me better financing than I walked in with, not to mention working in additional service and protection coverage at an awesome price.Again, coming out with a car note less than anticipated. I brought in my 2010 GMC Terrain after the repair shop I had taken it to informed me that they could not complete the repairs to my vehicle due to not having a tool that only the dealership possessed. I was told that I needed to have the timing solenoids and the timing control actuators replaced. I spoke to Keith who invited me to bring my vehicle in immediately. Upon taking it to Ourisman Chevrolet in Bowie, the high pressure fuel pump and lines were replaced(which were covered under warranty)and an oil change was done. This appears to have solved the problem. The staff were all courteous and professional. Keith, my service advisor,is GREAT! He kept me informed at all times and helped ease my anxiety. I escaped a costly repair and will definitely use Ourisman Chevrolet of Bowie in the near future.

Took 6 weeks to get car manual, over 7 weeks to get plates for new car.Called manager 3 times and call was never returned, called sales manager 3 times and he never called back either. The reason the plates took so long is because they needed my S.S. number it took them 7 weeks to ask for that. I think they didn't care to satisfy me because I was out of state 200 miles away, and knew they would never see me again. Out of state or not I feel there should be a courtesy between a dealer and the customer. Based on this not happening, I would not recommend them to anyone.

My experiences with most car dealers have been less than pleasant in the past, but my experience yesterday was pretty painless and only took about 4 hours. It really helped by first getting the price from truecar.com and walking in the door with a price already set. I did a test drive and then sat down to go over the details. Negotiated the "deal prep" charges from $300 to $150, and got the zero percent financing for 72 months - a great deal. The manager Meredith and the salesman Ozzie were very nice and a pleasure to deal with. Even though the car is fully electric and doesn't have an engine, I decided to go with the 7-year bumper to bumper coverage for an additional $46 a month, but passed on all the other dealer add-ons. I don't know if that was a good decision for not. Overall, a very good experience.

I purchased a 2015 Chevy Impala LT/2LT. The staff was very welcoming and answered all my questions and concerns. I arrived at 12:30pm and was out the door 3 hours later. Several days after I purchased my automobile, the climate control for the heating system malfunctioned, and as a result, it would not produce any heat in the cabin of the automobile. I live in Bowie, Maryland and close to the Ourisman Chevrolet, and as a result; I visited their dealership requesting assistance for correcting the issues with my automobiles climate control system.Keith Cobb was the initial automobile service professional that I encountered at Ourisman Chevrolet on that Saturday morning, and he expressed considerable concerns about the technical issues with my automobile. As a result, he immediately prepared a written automobile maintenance requested, and arranged for my automobile to receive maintenance services immediately. Subsequently, it was necessary for me to visit the dealership several times before the technical issues with the climate control was finally resolved.It is noteworthy that on each occasion that I visited the dealership, Keith Cobb always exhibited the most professional responsiveness possible, notwithstanding, my expressed frustration about the technical issues with my new Malibu automobile. Ultimately it was necessary for me leave my automobile at the dealership in order for the technical issues to be completely diagnosed and repaired. During this period of time Keith Cobb personally called me on several occasions and provided me a status report on the repairs for my automobile, and notification about when the repairs were complete.When he notified me that the repairs were complete, I visited the dealership again to pick up my automobile, and Keith Cobb provide me a complete briefing on the technical issues that were discovered, and the repairs that were made. His briefing also included a test drive to ensure that the climate control was functioning correctly. As a result of this referenced and most satisfying personal experience, I will continue to have my automobile receive maintenance services at this outstanding dealership. Please be advised.... Since my purchased from Ourisman late, 2013. My GMC Acadia (VIN: 1GKKRNED9BJ278887). I've utilized the Ourisman Servicing Departing as my servicing team for my vehicle. Thus far, I've been have only oil changes. However it seemed like every time I had the service your team use inconvenience me by disconnecting my fog or head lights. Which was so frustrating. Now! on my last oil change, May 2, 2015? I believe the date to be. I received a call from someone and your team said something about my engine area needed cleaning. Therefore I agreed to not just the oil change, but the engine to be cleaned too. Only to notice my air condition blower was NO longer blowing forward, but against the windshield. Which also meant my heat will do the same! I NEVER HAD THAT PROBLEM!!! Not until after the oil change/engine clean!!! I called to let your servicing team know, but I decided to have it corrected on my next oil change. My next oil change was on August 22nd. I'd readdressed my concerns and your Service Dept. declined to fix their error and not taking ownership to an issue I'm experiencing from their last service performed to my vehicle on May 4th. That REALLY upset me because I NEVER had an issue with the direction of my heat/AC direction to blow out!! I quite furious and angry on how I'm being treated. Oh I was offered a 10% discount to correct the error???? That comment just upset me even more. Ive been meaning to send this letter since last week, but with my job? It was a busy week for me. However I know I needed send this letter of disappoint with hopes to receive some resolution to this matter. I NEVER thought I would go through what I went/going through with Ourisman. I was given an recommendation by a family member to visit Ourisman Chevrolet of Bowie. My salesman was not in the Dealership at the time of my arrival, not to mention that He did not know that I was in route. I was greated by several staff members to inform me that Derrick was in route back to the Dealership and their outstanding professionalism was noted. Derrick is a very patient and caring individual. He kept every word that He stated to me in regards to making the deal go through. He had Chris, the New Car sales Manager to be part of making me satisfied with the deal. The two were working above and beyond together and I'm more than grateful for that. I would like to also mention Ozzie for his hospitality for passing the time with me while I waited for the paperwork to be processed. Thank you is such small words, but I must say, this team of three made it to be more than that.

My father buys a new car every two years in Florida but this year he went to oursman in Bowie. Meredith and Lou were our agents and very nice and helpful. My dad purchased the black granite equinox 2015 and loves it! This is his 3 rd equinox and I got his 2013, I hope I will love mine too! I responded to your advertisement of a used Camero several months ago and ended up getting a runaround. I made several trips to the dealership-at their request-only to be told that they didn't think that car was right for me and refused to sell it to me. Instead, they wanted me to purchase a new vehicle or several other used vehicles. I tried to find someone in management to discuss this strange situation. I also called the dealership several days later-without identifying myself-and was told that the Camero was still available and invited me down for a test drive. Go figure.

My entire interaction with this dealership has been nothing but rude and disrespectful from beginning to end. The level of service at this dealership is close to non-existent. I submitted online documents in interest of a car. I received a message from a sales representative who asked me to call him back regarding my application. I called back the next day and I was informed he was not there. I called the day after, and stated again I was calling for a specific representative, and was again informed he was not there. I was then asked if I would like to speak to another sales representative about my application and I was put in contact with Lee Putney. I informed Mr. Putney that I put in a previous online application, an he immediately, and rudely, cut me off stating he could not speak with me about my application because it was confidential information and I could be lying to him about who I was. While I understood his reasoning, it was his tone that was disrespectful. He then insisted that I come in because he can "only talk to me if I come in." I asked him specifically about the internet pricing, thinking this was information he could easily expound upon because it's not confidential, but he only continued to rudely insist he can "only talk to me if I come in." Easily sounding like a scam artist.I decided to go to the dealership to get the answers I was interested in, but also to inform Mr. Putney he was rude and disrespectful when he spoke to me on the phone earlier, and remind him that I'm a potential buying customer. Upon meeting him, I was escorted to his desk and I brought up the subject of his earlier rudeness. He angered quickly stating, "Oh, you're one of those people" and asked me if I wanted to work with someone else because he's "not the person for us". He, shockingly, stood up from his desk, and asked his fellow sales reps if they wanted to help us because he couldn't. We meet with another representative who was indeed nicer, but I was supposed to receive information on various packages, and after 2 days have received nothing.My overall review of Lee Putney, and this dealership as a whole is utter shock. I've never been more appalled, or more disrespected as a customer. I will never again attempt to do any business with this dealership, nor will I refer anyone to this dealership.

I definitely recommend Ourisman Chevrolet for a car purchase. The Ourisman staff worked to find the perfect car for my son and to obtain financing. My son is tall and they recommended the Cruze which is incredibly roomy inside for a small car. He said it's the only small car that he has ridden in that has exceptional leg and shoulder room for him (plus it has great gas mileage). Ron, Meredith and Shanise provided impeccable customer service for our car buying experience.

I bought my car a couple of months ago. On a rainy Saturday, a deer ran into the front right side of my car. I was just pulling off from a red light, so the damage was minimal. However, Debi (Ourisman Chevrolet of Bowie - Collision center/body shop employee), was very rude and disrespectful to me. She seem to have and issue, making sarcastic comments about me driving a Mercedes (rental) and owning a 2015 Chevrolet Camaro that I just purchased. She wanted to put after market parts on my vehicle and arranged for me to have a minivan or Sentra as my replacement rental. I pay extra to my insurance company, so I have an equivalent rental (should I need a rental). I pay this bill, I am the client, I make those decisions, not the body shop receptionist.She told me on June 24, 2015, I could get my car repaired until July 6, 2025 if I choose to wait for a OEM windshield for my Camaro. I was very specific that my insurance company authorized OEM parts for my new Camaro (as after market parts significantly depreciate the value of s new car and they don't always fit). I told Debi and Bill Ferko that I'd buy my own windshield and to ONLY repair the front right fender damage. Prior to conducting my vehicle stop off inspection, I requested to speak with the collision shop manager. Debi lied and said he was out to lunch, and I'd have to wait 45 minutes to an hour for him to return. My don and I walked into the collision center and Debi aggressively told me to sit down in a chair she pointed to. This hag lost her mind, I'm s grown woman. I let her know that I finance this matter, I make the decisions, and though I MAY need her assistance with facilitating my repairs, I don't need direction where and when to take a seat. Ooh!! Bill Ferko was in his office, too. He was no help and very dismissive (as if gorgeous young black woman can't own brand new cars, be articulate, drive Mercedes (which was only a freaking rental - C300), be well dressed in a suit, and call the shots. Yep, we do, we have and we most certainly will. NEWSFLASH: THEY COMPLETELY MESSED UP MY BRAND NEW CAR!! They horribly scratched up my new key, and I have all kinds of scratches/scrapes/dings/new body damage to my car. I took photos DNS video prior to dropping off my vehicle. I was apprehensive, but I trusted Bill to be s professional (NOT)!!They've fraudulent billed my insurance company, they installed an unnecessary windshield that I didn't authorize, they tried to double bill me and then my insurance company, and the total right side and front bumper of my car are NOT flush and in totally out of sink.

We could not be happier with our experience at Ourisman Chevrolet. Ozzie and Lew hung in there with us for a very long afternoon: they heard what I needed in a used car, showed me something that I didn't even think I was looking for, and it exceeded my expectations. We purchased a truck from this "dealership" over a month ago. We traded in our other vehicle for this truck. About 2 weeks ago they started calling (harassing) us claiming that the loan didn't go through. Keep in mind we had already signed everything, owned the car, and they had told us that the bank we got the loan with approved us. It still isn't being resolved. They continue to harass us. It is not our fault that they sold us the car when they apparently didn't have the money to do so but lied and let us take the car home? This place is an absolute scam. DO NOT buy a car here. You will regret it as we do. We will never ever recommend this place to anyone.

I had to bring my 2009 Pontiac g8 back to the dealership because my previous experience was not so great, this time around I can say I was very pleased with the service. When I got to the dealership Jake quickly got my car written up for the service, I waited no longer than maybe 15 minutes if that for them to get me a rental car. I also asked if they could balance my tires, I later got a call the next day saying they replaced the lifters and that they balanced my tires but I was still getting the vibration because I needed hub centric rings. So I can this experience has made me feel much better about bringing my car back to the dealership for any future repairs or maintenance, if it wasn't for Jake I'm pretty sure I would have never returned in the future.

What an exceptional sales operation you have in Ourisman Chevrolet. We've owned Suburbans and Blazers for forty years -- probably 12 or 13 trucks, what with our kids all getting Chevy trucks, too. Lou Igbon greeted us as we stepped out of our old car, listened to us and responded to our every need and question. We have bought 3 cars from this dealership, these people were very nice when we buy the car, but after that they even didn't pick up the phone to listen your problem, and even if they pick up the phone they made false promise with you to resolve the problem, even this General manager make false promise and never call back and we have to go Dist Attorney General and file a consumer complaint against this dealer ship, so my opinion is GO SOMEWHER ELSE AND SAVE HEADACHE

This is the only Saturn-authorized car repair center in town, so it just always made sense to get our car serviced here. However, we get consistently AWFUL service from them, and I will not go through this nonsense again. It's worth it to drive 30 miles to have any other option.When you take the car in, it usually takes half an hour standing in line (or not in line, just standing awkwardly in front of people too busy to notice or help you) before you even get to tell someone you need your car looked at. They then take 2-4 DAYS to get around to even bothering to look at it. When they do look at it, they may or may not call the same day to let you know what the problem is. Sometimes they say they called but don't (not sure if they consistently dial wrong numbers or just straight-up lie, but this has happened several different times). If, after waiting twice as long as the quoted time to hear from them, you decide to call them instead, expect to spend half an hour on hold, play phone tag with half a dozen people, and get hung up on at least twice. When you do actually get to talk to a person, they usually have no idea what's going on with your car, and they are far more likely to transfer you to someone's voicemail than actually bother to go find out what's up. Asking for the manager also generally gets you transferred to voicemail.They overcharge, tack on unnecessary extras, and take 2-3 times as long to fix things as whatever the initial estimate was. They lose keys, forget to replace parts or covers, and often do a barely passable job of fixing whatever was wrong. Most of the people you talk to are overworked and overwhelmed, so they will ignore you, be condescending, and generally be unhelpful. Even asking for our car back so we can fix it ourselves took two days of immense frustration. And no, in those two days they didn't get around to looking at it.

Just had the worse service department experience that I have ever experienced from car dealership. Had an appointment that I scheduled a week ago to occur at 8:30 am this morning. When I came in to drop off my vehicle for just routine maintenance the people at the front desk acted like I was bothering them by dropping off my vehicle. I told them that I would wait on the vehicle. I then proceeded to wait 2 hours in their waiting area, then decided I needed to check on why it was taking so long for an oil change only to find out that they had not even taken the vehicle back for service. There is no telling how long I would have waited if I hadn't checked on the their progress. I am extremely disappointed with the service that I received. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for your oil changes and routine maintenance, it's not worth the aggravation.

So when buying the Camaro for my mother from Ourisman Chevrolet in Bowie, I noticed there was a deep scratch in the door. I mentioned before buying it that this would have to be fixed or the door panel replaced, and they agreed to that. They said I could bring it back any time I wanted, no appointment needed, and they'd take care of it for me without a problem.I brought it back this past Saturday for them to fix. They took it away and detailed it inside and out. It looked great when it came back, except the damage hadn't been fixed. They said they needed to bring someone in to take care of it, and would call me Monday, this past Monday, to setup a time and date to bring it back. We got in the car and went to drive away when we noticed there was a scratch on the faceplate of the radio, two scratches on the tint on the windshield and a long scratch on the passenger side window's tint. It looks like someone was wearing a watch or something while detailing the car. They're all similar scratches, and I'm positive they weren't there before dropping it off, especially since the car only has a few hundred miles on it at the time of dropping it off to them. We called them minutes after leaving and the person we've been dealing with wasn't available, so I asked for a call back. Of course not only did he not call me back that day, he didn't call me on Monday either.Today, days after they were supposed to get back to me, I had time to stop back to the dealership. I can't believe how horrible we were treated by their manager there. He couldn't care less. After agreeing to pull the car around and try to buff out the scratches yet again, he then informed me that because the other scratches happened on Saturday and it's now Wednesday that they're no longer liable for the damages. Basically, go xxxx yourself. I told him that I was upset with how we were being treated, and he blew me off. I then asked for their corporate number, and he replied "No, I don't have it".

To my view and as to my experience, this dealership "profiles" it's customers. I'm in the market for a new Corvette Stingray and would prefer to order a 2015. So this info was sent to Chevrolet.com and part of my research was done on Cars.com Once I arrived at the dealership I was treated with the utmost disrespect. Salesman said that no test drives are done at all and he has to contact the manager. I then stood by the receptionist while the manager Lew arrived and said the same thing. He said that unless I sit down and commit to a contract there would be no test drive. Neither of them invited me to a private desk to talk or see what my needs were and how to best work out something. This was all done by the front door in front of other customers who were coming in and out. Most disrespectful is an understatement. I was 100% prepared to put the down payment and order. So I subsequently drove to another dealership where I was treated very, very well. Review to follow.

I had a deal worked out through the internet, then I came up on a wintery day right before they were leaving. I had got there just in time, then I walked into the dealership they greeted me and I told them what I wanted, and they had it ready and we did the paperwork, which was a breeze, then we were on our way home in our new 2014 Silverado 1500 crew cab Z71. The sales staff at Ourisman Chevrolet of Bowie is definitely a dream team. I was very clear on what I wanted, what my trade was and that purchasing the 2014 Camaro would be a dream purchase for me. These guys made that happen with little to no fight. As a woman, you can tell at times when car salesmen are trying to take advantage of you and I certainly did not feel that way working with this team. They were upfront about the rebates (which Camaro doesn't usually have many) and because I am a USAA member, I received a rebate for that as well. I was and still am confident about my purchase, I love my car and if it weren't for the guys at Ourisman Chevrolet of Bowie, I would have been driving a car by another manufacturer that wouldn't have given me the excitement my Camaro does. They turned a pipe dream into reality and I am head over heels excited that they did! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Overall, my experience at Ourisman Chevrolet of Bowie, was awesome. My sales person Ozzie Turner, was very informative. He took his time to go over each gadgets of the vehicles, I was interest in. All my questions and concerns where answered. In addition, I met Demont Strand (used car manager) he was very polite. He wanted to know about my likes and dislikes of the vehicles I was interest in. However, I didn't expect Demont Strand to be helpful with comparing and contrasting vehicles with me. He stated if I didn't see anything on the car lot, its ok just give him the year, make and model and he could retrieve the vehicle of my choice as long as it was in my price range. I was very impressed with Demont because he was patience, honest and friendly. Demont Strand and Ozzie Turner didn't want to just sell me any car they wanted to make sure I was comfortable and had a understanding of what I want. Finally, I highly recommend this dealership to anyone that's looking for a vehicle. I truly believe their motto is customer first and education second! Go get your car, its waiting for you at Ourisman Chevrolet of Bowie!

On wednesday night, I used the online service to set an appointment for service to my car. When I arrived on Thursday, I heard the service person say they were swamped because it was the day after Christmas. I asked if my appointment was there and he told me no. He said never use the online to set an appointment because it does not show up on their system. I thanked him and asked if I could come back on Friday and he said yes. When I went back on Friday my car was serviced as promptly as they could get to it. I think it took about 1 hour to finish my routine maintenence.

I took my 1998 gmc to ourisman for a leak antifreeze.I told them it could be seen on the #2 cylinder side of the engine side. Wayne called and said he would put the mechanic on the phone so I could explain the problem to him. Wayne said he would call me the next day. That did not happen so I called him and he said found that both of the cylinder head gaskets were leaking the repair cost would be around $1,850.00 . This was the third day of having my truck. It was hard to believe both head gaskets would leak at the same time when the truck has only 86,000 miles and is maintained to keep it lile new.I went to get the truck. Wayne was not in so it took three people to find it.I took my truck to another garage.They found it was only the intake gasket was leaking and easy fix. I also had a salesman by the name of JT, whom worked with me and got me exactly what I wanted. My experience with Ourisman Chevrolet of Bowie was a great experience. I originally came into the dealership to look for a car during the summer. I spoke with Mr. Banks, who was very knowledgeable about several of the Chevrolet cars that I was interested in. Also, he gave me information on several cars that weren't Chevrolet cars so that I could make a competent comparison. Even though he spent quite a bit of time describing the cars and their options, I decided not to purchase at the time because my funds were limited. However, Mr. Banks stayed in contact with me and at some point convinced me to return to the dealership. Upon my return, I was pleasantly surprised that he had the ideal car just for me. We took the car for a test drive and I decided that if the price was right, we had a deal. Chris Goins was instrumental in getting me to understand the pricing. He was also very patient and took time to explain my options. Overall I was extremely pleased with the process of purchasing my new car. And I love my Equinox!

Highly disappointed with the finance dept. Multiple problems with them forcing me to drive back and forth 30 min to fix the problems. Found them to be very unprofessional when mentioning surveys every few minutes. Loved working with Cierra she was very helpful and great!

Great experience. I didn't feel pressured at all. My only suggestion is that the finance person should start looking into the finances as soon as the salesperson gives the paperwork over. If this is done, it will reduce the amount of time a customer is in the dealership.

My 3 week old vehicle was in the second time for the same warranty repair. I had been waiting for a week and a half and in that time not once was I contacted by them to bring it back. Only when I opened a case with Chevrolet customer service was anything done. When I came back to pick up the vehicle i was told they were unable to complete the repair and did not perform an alignment as requested at drop off. They had the car from 8 am to 4.45 pm. Once I got it back it was covered in dirt and there was what appeared to be a sticky substance on the rear window. I drove straight home and started to wash the car. That was when I discovered an approximately 8 X 6 inch dent in the front right fender. There were no other marks (i.e. scratches or scraping) on the fender which led me to believe that it was damaged by someone resting or sitting on the car. I returned to the dealer at 8am the following morning. They looked at the damage and admitted that they caused it. Ourisman attempted to pull out the dent but this was unsuccessful. It is now in the body shop for repair. Do not use their shuttle service as getting picked back up is a nightmare. I was left standing on the roadside for over 2 1/2 hours waiting to be collected.

The actual salesperson was great. Although he was relatively new, he was very helpful and attentive. The low marks are not reflective of this individual. Enjoyed working with him.The Used Car Manager, Damont Strand, on the other hand was awful. His arrogance and condescending attitude in a customer related business is unbelievable. After negotiating a price he slaps me on the shoulder and says "go take that shopping" as if he was unwilling to negotiate further. My daughter ended up purchasing the vehicle but after a couple of days heard noises in the tires. Damont would not replace the tires but said he would buy two tires if we bought the other two. He also said my other option was to turn the car back in which was not an option for me. All I wanted was to have the tires replaced. He then let me know that he doesn't have to change anything after letting him know that the tires needed to be changed and that he would not want his daughter driving on unsafe tires. Which, by the way, was a recommendation from their mechanics! Wow!!!After meeting with the General Manager, Lew Gilinski, and not taking no for an answer they finally swapped out the tires and put different ones on the vehicle which is all we asked from the beginning.

I purchased a 2011 Chevy Traverse from Ourisman Chevy of Bowie on 7/18/2010 and on 6/20/13 I traded in that Traverse when I purchased a new vehicle. On 6/24/13 I contacted Ourisman in regards to getting reimbursed for time left on Service Contract and Road Hazard Warranties. I spoke with on gentleman who told me what documents I needed to send him so I asked for an email address so that I could scan the documents and email them to him. He stated that he was busy and couldnt give me his email address and to fax them to him which I did on 6/24/13 at 11:49am and received confirmation that the fax was complete. I then attempted to call several times leaving messages with no return call for 2 days. Finally I spoke with them and he confirmed that he received my fax and that he would fax over the documents I needed to sign in order to be refunded. After hours and days of them saying they faxed it and the fax never coming through (problem with Ourisman's fax machine) I finally asked them to mail them to me. I was told that after they receive the signed documents back it would take 3-4 weeks for us to receive the refund. After a week of not receiving the mailed documents I left a message with Irene McGlone the general manager at Ourisman who returned my call the next day and stated she would have them mail it out right away. After another week of not receiving the mailed documents (7/9/13) I contacted Chevy Customer Assistant Center and spoke with Steve via chat on Chevy.com website and filed a claim Steve then contacted the dealer and spoke with Glen Scott and Irene McGlone and they told him that they put it in the mail that day. Finally on 7/13/13 we received the documents needed and my husband and I signed them and mailed them back certified mail which Ourisman received on 7/15/13 and it was signed by Anna M Yocum. Assuming everything was fine we just waited. Then on 8/1/13, 16 days after all documentation needed by me were received by Ourisman, I received a call from Glen Scott at 17:20pm stating that the faxed documents (that were faxed to them on 6/24/13), were not legible by the Warranty company and that he wanted me to refax fax them, in turn I again asked for an email address which Glen gave me. On 8/2/13 All documents, again, were sent to Glen Scott and Irene McGlone via email. I received and email back From Glen saying "thank you". Here it is 8/7/13 and still nothing, no word on the progress or anything. I contacted Chevy Customer Assistant Center on 8/2/13 and chatted with LeAundre who was going to forward our conversation that day to Steve the original rep who helped me. Then I contacted Chevy Customer Assistant Center again today 8/7/13 and chatted with Steve to make sure he received the conversation from 8/2/13 and to express my dissatisfaction with Ourisman Chevy. Steve was going to attempt to reach Mr. Scott that day (8/7/13) and call me back with any updates. Finally on 8/8/13 I received a message and an email from Steve stating that the Ourisman processed all documents on 8/5/13 and it would take 2-3 weeks for our refund and that Ourisman stated "they are sorry for what happened". Really thats it. Irene McGlone the GM or Glen Scott the finance mgr cant call me to let me know things were taken care of?? I would think if a dealer received a complaint to the customer assistance center that the GM would want to call the customer to try and rectify the situation. So again on 8/8/13 I left a voicemail for Steve the Customer Assistance Rep stating I was not happy with the outcome and received no return call. On 8/13/13 I went back on the Chevy.com website to chat with a customer assistance rep and it so happened that I was connected with Steve and he stated he did receive my message and that the paperwork was processed the previous Monday (8/5/13) and that I will receive my refund in 2-3 weeks. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the outcome again and how I felt that Ourisman should have cut me a check and overnight it. Steve basically said this is how it is and there is nothing they can do for us and if I am un happy with outcome to contact the dealer. Really I contacted the customer assistance because I was getting nowhere with the dealer. I feel that this is all on Ourisman and their poor customer service and that I should be refunded in FULL, in the amount of $2100, for the warranties due to all the hassles and inconveniences that Ourisman has put me through. And I feel that Ourisman should make this happen sooner rather then later. I have had issues with Ourisman ever since I drove off the lot back in 2010 after I signed the contract for the Traverse I purchased. Ourisman came highly recommended to us that is why we drove 45 minutes to an hour from our home in Baltimore to Bowie to purchase from them. Due to the service I received from Ourisman since I purchased the Traverse when I purchased my Chevy Sonic in 2012 I went to a different dealer and then when I was looking to purchase a truck I didnt even think of Chevy. I would not recommend Ourisman to anyone I know and will never buy from them or any of their associated dealers again. I cant believe that a company as big as GM has no pull on their dealerships and that nothing can be done and that their customer assistance would treat their customers so poorly. Now I am worried if something goes wrong with my Chevy Sonic (which I hope nothing does)that I am going to have more problems with GM. I am thinking of trading it in so that I can be done with Chevy and GMThis process has been going on for close to 2 months and I dont understand why it is such a hard task to complete. I would think it would be as easy as sending our documents to the warranty place and cutting us a check. But it seems we have been jumping through hoops trying to get this accomplished. A complaint was filed with the Better Business Bureau on 8/7/13.**Update 8/27/13 :On 8/26/13 I was contacted by Ms. Anderson, of GM Executive Offices, to discuss my situation. While speaking with Ms. Anderson she advised me since the warranty was not through GM but through a 3rd party warranty company and that I should call the warranty company listed on the warranty documents to see if they received all the proper documentation to process the cancellation. I then contacted Fidelity Warranty Services Inc. to inquire about the cancellation of the warranties and was told that they received the cancellation on 8/20/13, 15 days after Steve from the Customer Assistance Center was told by Glen Scott that it was processed on 8/5/13 in which Steve relayed the message to me. 15 days!! Fidelity Warranty Services told me that the refund would come from Ourisman. I then contacted Glen Scott and questioned him about why I was told the cancellation was processed on 8/5/13 but in reality it was not processed until 8/20/13. Glen said remember I called you about the documents being illegible and you resent them? To which I replied that all resubmitted documents were received on 8/2/13 and was told that I was told that all the paperwork was processed on 8/5/13. He said something about all statements are not processed until the 20th of each month. I then asked if I would be receiving the refund in 3-4 weeks from 8/5/13 or 8/20/13, Glen put me on hold and when he came back to the phone he stated that he spoke to accounting and they told him that I would receive my refund in mid September. In shock and disbelief that again I am being screwed around and jumping through more hoops and getting the run around I replied ok and hung up the phone. So after all is said and done it is taking 3 months or more for me to get a refund that could have and should have only taken 3-4 weeks. I dont know about you but to me this is ridiculous and the poorest customer service. This is the worst customer service I have ever received or heard of. You are a major corporation and I would think that something as easy as cancelling a warranty would not be this difficult and that your customer service would be much better. So since the refund is coming from Ourisman Chevy of Bowie I feel that you should be able to cut a check and overnight it to me. And for the hassle and inconvenience this has caused I feel that I should be given a full refund of the warranties to show that your customers to matter and that you are committed to customer service.9/6/13 - I received and email from Irene McGlone and Jessica Belcher stating that in order to receive my refund they now needed the lien release for the Traverse. Really!!! Why was I not made aware of this months ago when I started this whole process. -->The Email from Jessica stated :I apologize this experience has not been a pleasant one. Glenn tried to set up a time for you to come in to sign the cancellation papers at the dealership as it is normally done. Doing so makes the process move more smoothly. We mailed you the paperwork, then followed the proper channels to cancel your contracts. Fidelity has their own process for cancelling contracts. Cancellation refunds are done on their schedule, depending not only on when they received the cancellation paperwork but when they process it. These payments are done monthly, I checked with our accounting office and we have not yet received payment which means it will come to us mid September . You had your warranties for almost 3 years. This is not something we can fully refund. Your reimbursement amount will be decided by Fidelity. In order to cut you a check any sooner we will need documentation that the loan on the 2011 Traverse was satisfied. Appropriate proof would be a letter from the bank stating the loan was satisfied. -->In which my reply was: no appointment was to meet in person was even attempted. The first gentleman I spoke with on June 24th was not Glen and he asked if I could come in to bring the paperwork I then asked if I could email it to them being I live over an hour away and was told to just fax it. Why was I never offered earlier to send in the lien release when I had contacted by phone and email with all the issues we were having?? Ourisman has done nothing to help with this issue or expedite it in any way. All I get is excuses. If fidelity won't refund the full amount then ourisman should cut me a check for the difference. From the sounds of the email from Jessica it sounds like I will not receive the refund in mid Sept like I was told previously. Since you will receive the money from fidelity in mid Sept how long will it take to receive a check?? Can you please give me the name and email address to the owner and or president of ourisman so I may contact him/ her directly. This has been going on 3 months, it is absurd, don't you think?? -->Jessica's response: I would be more than happy to refund you what is due to you but I first would need a loan satisfaction letter or lien release. If I cannot get this the refund will have to go back to the bank. These are not the dealership rules but it would be a requirement by your bank that financed your vehicle. You can fax me the lien release to expedite and send original in mail to me. Our fax number here is (301)262-1846. Please let me know if you are able to fax. Thank you for your business.-->My response: How come I was never told this was needed before now?? I was told they had everything they need for the refund. I will scan it and email it to you Sunday evening as I am out of town for the weekend. Why do you need the original? Isn't that something I should keep for my records?? Just more hoops to jump through. Again this is something I could have had to you 2 months ago.I have not received any further communication from Ourisman. Irene sent part of our email conversation to the BBB not explaining anything on how they planned to resolve this issue. So I did not accept the response to the BBB from Irene and Ourisman and responded with the following:I am rejecting this response because: What Irene didn't tell you is that on 8/27/13 after speaking with the general motors executive offices I was directed to call the insurance company that my warranties were through and after doing so I was told that my cancellation was received on 8/20/13 after I was told by Glen and GM customer service that it was processed on 8/5/13. The insurance company also stated that the refund would come from ourisman. I then called Glen on 8/27/13 and was told that it was processed on the 8/20/13 and that the refund would not be received til mid September, 3 months after this whole process had started. Then I was told on 9/6/13 that they now need another piece of documentation to receive my refund. Why was I not told of this months ago when starting this process??? Then I was informed by someone (who will remain anonymous) that the reason Ourisman is dragging their feet on this is because they have to pay a fee for canceled warranties and are most likely hoping that I will forget about the issue. Well I am not forgetting about it. I feel that Ourisman should reimburse for the difference of the warranty not refunded by the cancellation. Irene is the GM and VP of Ourisman and has not taken the time to even call me or try to rectify the situation. She has just passed my emails on to other people and I just keep getting the runaround. This is complete disrespect from Ourisman and the worse customer service I have ever received. I would love to be able to talk to the owner of this Dealership, Bobby Ourisman, but am unable to locate any contact information for him. I have asked Ourisman for this information but they have not given it to me.I would not recommend this dealer to anyone!!! and will never buy another GM vehicle!!

On 3 separate occasions I had to wait in excess of 1.5 hours for a certified oil change. This past time, at 1.5 hours in the waiting room, I noticed my car had not even made it in the shop yet- pathetic for an oil change. Not mention, their employees, with the exception of Shawn, were unprofessional. Good if you want to catch up on some reading, but stay away if you have a life.

I would like to express my displeasure and disappointment over the service that was provided at this dealership and the service employee by the name of Shane. I am completely dumbfounded by the lack of integrity and the lack of professionalism exhibited by Shane. My wife and I brought our vehicle to have a diagnostic for the check engine light being on. My vehicle was dropped off on Tuesday, May 16th and we were both advised that the diagnostic would be done that evening and the work completed Wednesday early in the am. Well my wife called Wednesday afternoon and asked for an update. Shane advised that he did not have a mechanic available to complete a diagnostic. My wife indicated that she could not go another day without her vehicle and requested a loaner car. Shane stated Oursman does business and has an agreement with Enterprise but would not pick up the cost of the rental unless the cost to repair the vehicle exceeded $500. He did arrange for a rental but at our cost. Today is Thursday and while I was at work Shane contacted me and stated the cost for labor (aprox $250) , parts (aprox $530), and total to repair the vehicle and that it would be completed within 4 hours. He went on and recommended additional work for $300. He was advised that the additional work would need to wait. I asked Shane if he would pick up the cost of the rental since the cost was roughly $880. Talk about back tracking and being tongue tied, Shane reluctantly agreed. I called this evening for an update on the vehicle to which he stated that there was a delay and that the job would not be completed until Friday. I asked Shane about picking the rental for the second day. Shane became the most unprofessional service provider I have ever encountered. He stated policy is for only one day and that he advised my wife and I of that. I asked my wife if that was true because I was not imformed of that, she said no. I believe Shane thought he was speaking to his child because he would not allow me to finish a sentence, would interrupt me, and must have amnesia because he even forgot the price he quoted me just this morning. This gentleman stated he called me yesterday (Wed) and quoted a higher price of over $1100 minus $200 and some change and gave me a new price of $930. I thought I was buying a car and was having a bad experience with a car salesman. This is the third time I bring my car there and will be the last. I advised Shane that I will speak to his manager about his customer service and professionalism and miraculusly the words, "Ok, I will cover the cost of the rental, since you want to complain to my manager." I couldn't believe he then raised the cost to cover a rental. I mean we brought the car on Tuesday, its Thursday and he said earlier today it was not ready. So you have the car three days for a job that takes 2 - 4 hours? Am I missing something? Its a secondary air supply (emmissions) not the reconstruction of an engine, geez. We shall see how the sales manager rectifies his lack of people skills, manners (hung up the phone, are we 5 years old?), and lack of integrity. I served in the Army, I now serve as a public servant......I am stupified by my encounter with Shane.

My wife totaled her GMC Sonoma ZR2 Pick-up (missed curve hit, a tree). Needed a new car for her. She wanted a small car with manual trans. I wanted another Pick-up. I lost. Researched small cars, found out about Chevy Sonic. Good reviews everywhere, 5 star crash ratings, 10 air bags!!. We both could agree on this vehicle. Started search for car with very specific pricing wanted and needed in mind. Four Chevorlet Dealerships from Frederick, MD to Rockville, MD, no luck on Sonic equiped the way we wanted and nowhere near the price, Not even close and no reasonalbe (to me) counter offers. Told my wife, didnt look good on getting the Sonic. She needed to research other cars. I was frustrated and she was not happy.Then I found a 2012 Sonic LTZ at Ourisman Chevrolet of Bowie. The dealership was over an hour away from home, so I attempted to make a deal for the Sonic over the phone. Spoke with Chris, told him what I wanted and what I was willing to pay. Justified my price based on buying a Two Year Old New Car. Told him ok with that fact because car had more features/options than we required and it was the LTZ model. I told him I could write him a check for the car tommorrow and my wife drive it away. Chris understood my proposition and the reasons behind the offer. He made one counter offer. I offered to split the difference with him, he agreed to the deal. Faxed me sales sheet showing the right car with Vin number, my deposit and the drive away price. Chris proved to be a knowledgable and reasonable Business man, not your average Salesperson. The whole transaction took 15 minutes tops! The sale was made exactly the way I like to do business, everyone wins. I was looking forward to the dealership visit the next day.Long drive from home, but worth every mile. The dealership was as good as my purchase transaction in everyway. My wife was very happy with the car and Chris's presentation, instruction. Both of us were happy with everyone we came into contact with at the dealership and the facility itself. All in all a very clean, efficent buying process/experience. No silly games.

I went to this dealership because I purchased 4 Chevy/Volvos back when when they were Rogers Chevrolet/Volvo and was very satisfied. I was glad to see that things haven't changed. From the time I walked through the door everyone could not have been nicer to deal with. My salesman, Matt Heinz was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He was easy going and not high pressured at all. He answered every question I had about the vehicle quickly and with confidence. I had done some research and new what I wanted to pay for the truck and what I wanted for my trade in. I also didn't try and gouge them as I knew they are a business and needed to make a profit. We agreed to a price in short time with no back and forth and we both were happy. In my view there is nothing worse then having your salesman have to run off to the manager to get information or permission for something. There was not of that with Matt. The financing was was a breeze with William Taliaferro. All and all it was a pleasant experience. Haven't had it serviced yet so can't comment on that.

This was the first time I bought a car all on my own. It couldn't have gone smoother. The entire staff was pleasant, helpfull and very efficient. I don't like high pressure sales or double talk, I got none of that here. They were all very professional and knowlegeable and found me everything I wanted. l love my new car and would recomend this dealership to everyone I know. I saw, I bought and I took home all in the same day, love it!

I had been thinking about buying a new vehicle for more than a year. I looked at several options and kept changing my mind. In spring 2012, I was on a trip to California and had a Chevy Cruze as a rental. It was a great car, and although I had never owned an American car before, I kept coming back to it during my car search. I decided to go to Oursiman Chevy of Bowie based on reviews and proximity to my home. I had not purchased a car in some time and was nervous about how it would go. I walked in and was warmly greeted by members of the staff. Chris Johnson approached me and asked how he could help. I simply stated I was interested in the Cruze and it went from there. I was totally impressed that Chris sat me down asked about what I was looking for in a vehicle and the features that were important to me. He asked about my price point and what type of terms I was willing to accept. He was very friendly and honest- so much so that I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop- but fortunately it did not. I test drove the Cruze and ended up with a fabulous LT model at a price I could afford. What I was most impressed by was that there was no pressure. On my initial visit, I told Chris I needed to think some things over and left the shop, he didn't try to persuade me to stay or call and email incessantly like some other dealerships. I called the next day and told him I would go with it. On the day I went to pick up the Cruze, my car was not ready at the time I arrived. I was already late to pick up an out of town friend from the train station. Rather than take the shuttle (another great feature of this dealership) to the train station, Chris said I could take his own car to go get my friend and come back.. I was pleasantly shocked that he would allow me to do this. When I returned, Chris sat with my friend and I for several minutes just chatting while I waited for my car to be ready. When it was finished, Chris sat with me and went through all the features in the car and helped me set up OnStar which was great. I really appreciated his kindness and honesty throughout the entire process- a true professional.I also had a great experience with the Finance Department. My initial rate was higher than I was looking for but the Finance manager, Henry Hylton was able to drop it substantially. I was truly impressed. Again no high pressure sales tactics to get me to load up on optional services I did not need. I did get the extended warranty, but it was my decision. All the terms were explained to me in detail and I was given ample time to review the documents before signing everything. Because the rate changed I had to come in again on the following day to re-sign a few revised documents. Although it was his day off, Henry came in anyway to make sure I understood the terms of the deal, he had to leave and I continued to work with William Talifero to complete my final finance paperwork. He was also very helpful in making sure I understood what I was signing. The finance experience was seamless and very fast compared to what I have experienced in the past.Overall, I was blown away by the level of professionalism and quality customer service I received at Ourisman Chevrolet of Bowie. I have never felt so comfortable with an auto purchase in my entire life. I completely recommend this dealership. As I said this is my first American car and my first Chevy , I would certainly consider purchasing another just to be fortunate enough to deal with the individuals again at this excellent dealership.

You guys have been great, ever since you were Saturn of Bowie. when we bought our first new Saturn. Even though you are farther away than the local Chevy dealer, we always went back to you for the service and oil changes.Unfortunately, our Vue developed an oil leak, and not wanting to drive it to Bowie with the oil light on, (it had plenty of oil in the crankcase) we took it to Bayside Chevrolet in Prince Frederick. They replaced the valve cover gaskets for 1343.00 and pronounced it healthy again. Two weeks and ninety one miles later, the oil light came on, it started smoking and stopped running. Towed back to Bayside, they pronounced the engine dead, even though it started and they drove it into the service bays. They offered no explanation of what went wrong, but they did explain why they couldn't fix it and why they felt no obligation to honor any warranty on their 1343 bucks worth of work.I contacted GM customer service and asked them to look into it. Their response was that it was just one of those "things" and reaffirmed the dealerships position. Letters to the CEO of GM produced the same result. I am sorry now that I believed all Chevy dealerships subscribed to the same higher level of ethics, and sorry that I did not bring my Vue back to you for what seemed to be a simple oil leak.Ourisman has always had that higher level since I bought my '66 and '76 Malibu from your Marlow Heights location, many many years ago. Sadly, Bayside, and corporate GM do not.I have been a Chevy man all my life, starting with a '42 Chevy deluxe in the 1950's up thru this Saturn Vue, which I "view" as a Chevy; same as my GMC van. I thank Ourisman for all it's years of Good Service, but I will never buy another GM product. It will be Fords from now on.Sincerely and Respectfully,Douglas R. Hile

Good things- in on time - out on time- Got a mail in rebate. Not so good things--service dept left my wheel log locks in the service dept. What would I done if I had a flat tire 100 miles away?---Was quoted one price with the oil change and tire rotation special. Bill was higher than quoted- reason was the new type of oil they were using. I am sure that they knew this before the work was done. They should tell people about this at check in time.

I walked in the dealership to look at the Chevy Malibu. I was approached by John Turner and he said he could assist me in trying to find a new car. He was the WORST person to help me with looking at a car. He couldn't tell me the features the car had. I was interested in a push button start he didn't know if the Malibu was equipped with it or not. He took my license so I could test drive it and took me out to the car told me to get in and told me he would show me how to pull out of the space so I wouldn't hit the other cars that were parked extremely close to it. Once I pulled out he told me to test drive it then come back and meet him at the office. He didn't explain any of the features of it to me. Didn't tell me how to adjust the seat or the mirrors or the steering wheel. I drove for 5mins an returned back to the dealership. I parked it in the space and walked back into the dealership. I sat down in his office he asked how I liked the car and I told him what I liked about it. He was on his computer the whole time. He then gave me his car and told me if I wanted it then to come back and let him know. I was SHOCKED he didn't go over anything about the car not even price even after I told him I was interested in buying a new car. After I left his office I went to the Kia dealership and by 2:00 pm because of the great service from the sales person and the managers I walked out of there with a brand new 2013 Kia Optima. I feel as tho if Mr. Turner had been a little more personable and more interested in selling me a car I might have chosen the Malibu especially if he had explained everything about the car. I am now a very happy owner of my new Optima which I love.

My daughter and I went there twice for several hours in a 2 day period. She did not have a lot of money to spend but wanted to look at a Chevy Cruze since she had seen the base models online at a reasonable price. He showed her more expensive cars and said he didn't have anything for less then $19,700 other then a spark which is similar to those tiny smart cars. He had her sit in a car that he said was $30,000 and that he could get her for 19,000. Of course when we went inside those numbers somehow went up. She showed him cars on their website that she was interested in but he said they were in transit or were more expensive even though she showed him their website with multiple cars listed as being in stock and in her price range. She asked him to get one from another dealer and he said he could have one there the next day but then brushed her off and pushed her towards other cars. We finally gave up and settled on a used Hyudai Sonata for $16,799. In the process of buying it I was asked to sign some kind of disclosure form that stated that I have been told that one or more of the conditions apply to this vehicle but nothing was checked. Upon asking he told me it doesn't need to be checked. I told him I wasn't signing it and he then checked the box stating that none of them applied. After signing more papers he hands me a carfax that says the car was at one time a rental, had been in an accident, leased and then bought at an auction. I don't know all of the items on this disclosure form but one did say if it had been a rental and he flat out denied that any of these applied. I have no problem buying a rental but not for $16,799 and not without being told this

I live in Easton MD and the local chevy dealer in my area is worthless. I own a 2007 corvette Z06 and needed to get a regular service done. I went to the Ourisman Chevrolet dealer in Bowie MD. I have NEVER had a better experience with a dealership in my life. The service manager was very helpful and polite. The two mechanics that worked on the car were both extremely professional and knowledgeable. They did a wonderful job and addressed all my needs. I was out of there in less than three hours. Everyone that had anything to do with my vehicle treated it like it was their own. In the future there will be no other place I will ever go for service or repairs other than Ourisman in Bowie. I stopped in to have a headlight replaced. They were able to see me right away and within the hour, I was driving away with two working headlights. The service was timely and the staff helpful. I gave the price a good rating because it cost over $166 due to the labor cost. With advanced technology, it is no longer the case that you can pop a worn bulb out and easily replace it with a new one.

I brought my car in twice to the dealership. First time, they couldn't communicate with the car's computer. Tried for 3 hours. Took it to another dealer - fixed in 15 min. At least they didn't charge me. Second time,charged me for 2 hours of work to fix computer issues. 1 week later the problem was back. No confidence in service department. Other dealer heard similar issues from other customers. Closest to me, but I don't want to go back to them.

Please make sure you check the price of the vehicle through out the process. I purchased a Vehicle NEW a it was missing items from it.The dealership took 3 weeks to replace items from my truck. The sales people will smile in your face until you make your purchase afterwards you will get email lying about how good their services is. Try calling the dealership with a problem and see how long in takes to speak with someone or even resolve the issue.Customer service was the worst ever*** Last year I purchased a new vehicle and it broke down on 495. This year I purchased a truck and they offered 1 free oil change because this was the 2nd vehicle I brought.Buy at your own risk*****

Took my car here for repair and the whole process was terrible. Had to act as middle man the entire time between them and the insurance company to get things down as they just sat on things instead of contacting insurance company. The parking lot was overcrowded and my car got dinged up while with them, after pointing it out and them trying to dodge responsibility they did end up fixing it though. Now however after a few months they call me asking for more money citing some error in their bookkeeping. I show them as being paid for all their estimates though. So beware and keep your receipts and take pictures before when dealing with these people. Find somewhere else if you can.

Back in January 2012 I took a ride up to the dealership to take a look at 2012 Camaros. I was greeted by Jaison Grassel, I explained to him my reason being there and what exactly I was looking for. There was never any pressure to confirm a monthly payment range, nor was there a heavy sales atmosphere. When asked questions about mechanical specifications Jaison was well versed in topics about cars than someone who should be in sales. After a test drive, this concluded my first experience at the dealer.Fast forward to May 2012, I went back with the money I wanted to have saved up and found Jaison. We sat down and discussed specifics on the car that I wanted. I knew that this was a daunting task due to the color that I wanted (IBM) was exiting production in a week. Jaison found my car and had it at the dealer in 24 hours. This would be my first purchase of a car with a manual transmission, so bringing a friend along was required to get the car home. I was able to drive the car around the parking lot just to get a feel for everything. Jaison spent much more time than I would've asked of someone to explain to me everything about the car. He walked me through the building, showing where all the departments and employees reside.All and all my time at this dealership was great. There was a respectful understanding between myself, Jaison, and the sales manager Chris that I was here with a car and a price in mind; if it could not be met then we would part ways. I was never pressured once into buying anything ridiculous extra to go with the car. Jaison followed up a few days later asking how I liked the car, but more importantly he again gave me valuable information about the small details I couldn't grasp about my new car. With that I can now smoothly shift from 1st to 2nd without head bobbing, and my hill starts are much less... interesting.

I was interested in a 2012 Malibu and did a lot of research on the web. Subsequently, I went to Ourisman Chevrolet to test drive a 4 cylinder model. I was met almost immediately by John JT Turner who quickly produced a 2012 model and handed me the keys. I was most appreciative to test drive the car without the pressure of a salesperson in the back seat! After I decided to purchase a Malibu, JT was most helpful answering all my questions honestly and without reservation. Additionally, Mr. Chris Goins was most cooperative in working different financial senarios and together we were able to arrive at a competitive price that we all were happy with. I knew the dealership closed at 9:00 p.m. but both JT and Chris stayed much later answering all my questions and crunching numbers so I could meet my budget. Two days later when I went to pick up the car, I met Mr. William Taliaferro, the Finance Manager. William had to change the paperwork at least twice due to mistakes on my part. Each time William printed up new papers without complaint. Eventually all the paperwork was completed and JT even took the time to explain how everything worked! I have bought a number of cars but no sales person ever did that. In short, I would not hesitate to purchase another Chevrolet from Ourisman. JT, Chris, and William were a pleasure to work with. Like the jingle says, I pretty much got my way at Ourisman Chevrolet!

DO NOT TRY TO BRING A COMPEITORS OFFER TO THEM!My complaint to the dealership follows. Their official response has been that my offer was not signed by the competitor, however this reasoning was offered only after four or five attempts to try and meet/beat the competitor's offer with no mention of needing anything signed. If they would have put this reason forth first, I would have no complaint. But they did the best they could to elude and decieve until the settled on a reason they would not beat the competitor.In summary, I provided a valid, documented, offer on a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu from a competitor to your sales department on Friday, January 21st. My understanding is that your team recognized the price as a loser deal and tried the best they could to avoid the email advertisement I had received a week earlier from Andrew Williams promising to beat any competitors offer. Not only would your dealership not beat the offer in hand, they also contacted the other dealership the very same day to let them know I had passed along their offer, and in doing so, nullified the deal at both dealerships.The details of my experience are as follows:-Throughout the month of December (2011), I had been contacting various local Chevrolet dealerships about their Malibu inventories as well as their advertised prices and which costs were or were not included in those advertised prices.-On Monday, January 16th, I visited your dealership and was treated very well by Ozzie Turner, one of your sales consultants. He helped me check out a 2012 Malibu and a 2012 Cruze. At the conclusion of that visit, he provided me a written offer on the Malibu with a total out-the-door price. At that time, I told him I would consider the offer but that price was my clear driver in the deal and I was not willing to close the deal.-Over the next two days, I emailed a counter offer to Ourisman Chevrolet of Bowie. I also emailed my offer to other local Chevrolet dealerships. From those inquiries, I received my best offer from Ourisman Rockmont Chevrolet.-Their offer was $362 higher than my personal budget for a new vehicle so I inquired further about lowering their cost. At that time, Richard Cunningham made it clear that the vehicle (2012 Chevrolet Malibu LS) was already being offered at a loss to their dealership and that they would not reduce the price any further.-In an effort to close the gap between the total vehicle price and my budget, I inquired with Andrew Williams (on Friday January 20th) to see if he would be able to beat an offer from Ourisman Chevrolet Rockmont. I inquired with Andrew because he had sent me an email blast approximately one week earlier stating Ourisman Chevrolet of Bowie would beat any competitors offer. Hours after I sent the email to Andrew, Ozzie gave me a call and asked me to forward the email offer to Meredith Dotson. -Ozzie than called me back after Ourisman Chevrolet of Bowie had received my offer from Ourisman Rockmont Chevrolet and said Ourisman Chevrolet of Bowie would not be able to match this offer. -When I pressed him further, he rechecked with his management and then called me again to tell me Ourisman Chevrolet of Bowie would match the offer if I traded in my old vehicle (which had initially been assessed by Ozzie on Monday at a value of $250). -When I reminded him that the trade vehicle was not part of the standing offer from Ourisman Rockmont Chevrolet, he again rechecked with management and called me back to tell me they would make me the deal if I financed through you guys. At this point, he was giving me an out-the-door price around $18,035. Again, I pressed further because this was clearly not matching the comparable price from Ourisman Rockmont Chevrolet at $17,035. Again, Ozzie said he would check with management and this time did not call me back.-Meanwhile, sometime during this exchange, someone from your dealership contacted Ourisman Rockmont Chevrolet because Richard Cunningham emailed me twice offering to increase the value that Ourisman Chevrolet of Bowie was offering on my trade (which was still not part of the deal with either dealership in my mind). -On Saturday, January 21st, I called Ozzie at Ourisman Chevrolet of Bowie to inquire about the status since he had not called me back as promised. During this conversation, I was told that Ourisman Rockmont Chevrolet was a sister store and therefore not considered a competitor. When I asked to speak to Meredith or a manager, Ozzie told me Meredith was off and that you and Lew Gilinksy were unavailable, but would return my call at the number I left.-Approximately a half hour later, Ozzie called me back and stated that I would need to bring in a signed Buyers Order from Ourisman Rockmont Chevrolet and then Ourisman of Chevrolet would beat the offer.-Following that exchange, I checked my email and read a message from Regina Matthews (Internet Sales at Ourisman Rockmont Chevrolet) stating that both dealerships would not be doing my deal for a new Malibu.My concerns with the advertising and business practices of Ourisman Chevrolet of Bowie are as follows:1)Over the two day period from Friday January 20th through Saturday January 21st I spoke with Ozzie on the phone four or five times, each time essentially being provided a different reasoning/excuse as to why Ourisman Chevrolet of Bowie could not beat the offer. It was clear after the first two excuses that your dealership would have beaten the offer had it not been considered a loser deal to start. 2)Upon requesting to speak with management, I received a call back from Ozzie, essentially a middle man who had to listen to my complaints. Ozzie was professional and courteous in all of our interactions, but to improve the customer service/process, I believe a manager should have been calling me by this point.3)When I provided your dealership my offer from a competitor, someone alerted the other dealership that I was trying to obtain a matching offer from your dealership. Your dealership offered to beat any competitors offer, not call the other guy and tell them that I was trying to get a better price, thereby nullifying my relationship with both dealers. In my mind that defeats the purpose of advertising to beat your competitors.As a consumer, I believe it is perfectly acceptable (and expected) to perform research and shop around for the best deal. In this case, I believe I did this to the point that my best offer (from Ourisman Rockmont Chevrolet) really was an unbelievable offer. When I returned to Ourisman Chevrolet of Bowie to cash in on your advertisement to beat any competitor, you did not follow through on your own advertisement. As I pressed further for a management response, I did not hear from any managers and your dealership reached out to Ourisman Rockmont Chevrolet to negate the deal with them as well.My hope is that other potential buyers do not experience anything like I have over the last few days.

I recently stopped by my local Chevrolet Dealership, Ourisman Chevrolet in Bowie, Md., to take an up close look at the 2012 Chevrolet Traverse. I was greeted by John "JT" Turner, an exceedingly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful sales professional who answered all my questions directly and honestly -- an approach I never anticipated from a car salesman. The sales staff is knowledgable, and was willing to go an extra mile to help us purchase a vehicle. We even had a vehicle brought over from another dealer and decided it didn't have everything we wanted, and the staff went out of their way to get us a different one that did meet all our requirements. Gold star to Lew and JT for doing everything possible to satisfy our purchasing experience. I've also dealt with the service department over the years, and found them to be a little pricey but worth every penny - they definitely go out of their way to help. Body shop is best in the region. To keep this brief..... The day started off pretty good but then Mr. Putney tried to push the car I test drove and then tried to switch it out with another car same color but a lower class (less features) and tripled the miles.All of a sudden this overly friendly person became this arrogant, loud talking person. Talking, joking, laughing with other employees while we were in the middle of a deal. There was an issue with the numbers that we discussed and what was actually presented in the finance dept and when he was asked to come in he pretended like he didn't have a clue about what we had negotiated.He forgot to give me all of my paperwork, not only him but Teri in the finance dept and had to mail it to me. They try to charge me for tags and fees when I was keeping my tags.All in all I have to honestly say I love my car but I will never ever step foot in Ourisman Chevrolet of Bowie again. I believe the customer comes first and although we all know the dealerships are about making money. However there should still be a level of respect, consideration, professionalism and morals.Hopefully the dealership and Mr. Putney will take this review seriously because no matter how many "positive" reviews you may get any negative review you get will stand out even if it's only one it should mean something.

Customer Service is a key factor in where and how my funds are spent. Mr. Turner and all that I came in contact with at Ourisman are the exception not the rule. My car which was paid for was damaged by Hurricane Irene and I had driven on the lots of many dealerships were no one approached me to see if I REALLY wanted to buy a car. Arriving at Ourisman I was greeted by Mr. Turner in less than 5 minutes. I stated I was just looking he didn't walk away but stayed to answer my questions. He let me give my price range based on information received from my internet search on Truecar.com and other sites. Assessing my needs based on our conversation and questions he directed me to cars that he thought I would have an interest in. He encouraged me to test drive several cars. He patiently demonstrated the features and ease of use of the car I chose. There was no pressure to buy. He spoke of the benefits and support I would receive after purchasing the car. My initial thought was to finance the car through my credit union. Mr. Turner and Ourisman's finance representative shared the financing offered by the dealership would be comparable or better than credit union. It was. The enhancements (OneStar,Lojack,etc.) made the total package one I could afford and not feel I have to get a second job afford. Scheduling the returning of the car for the installation of Lojack and exterior/interior work was setup up around my schedule. Returning to retrieve the car again Mr. Turner and others greeted me in a friendly manner and asked how I like the car. My reply, "love it" and will recommend Ourisman to others for sales and car service.

I had very difficult time with dealer since they destroyed my car while they repair it for GEICO. I had to take another dealer to fix it and I had to fix some of the damages myself. They are not knowledgeable and they may damage some while they fix another part. I will never go there again.

I contacted the dealearship to assist my brother with a purchase of a vehicle. Upon walking in the dealership, I was greated with smiles and friendly "Hellos." Everyone was warm from the beginning. But for the purpose of this review I can only showcase those that I personally worked with. The following individuals provided my brother and I with optimal customer service: Joseph Alba, Demond Strand and Mrs. Terry Norris. Mr. Alba demonstrated all the positive traits that a good salesman should exhibit. He was inviting,friendly, and more importantly, he listened to my brother's needs to ensure that he considered the vehicles that were best for him. I believe great customer service starts at the top. Salespersons tend to be great reps if thier is good leadership. This was certainly the case at this location. Mr. Strand, the sales manager, was equally friendly and informative of the entire process. He was able to answer a lot of our questions and was extremely clear when explaining the steps of a purchase and what to expect. This helped to minimize a lot of our anxiety. Finally, having everything Mr. Strand explained supported by the Finance Department reassured us further that we came to the right place. Mrs. Norris was open and engaging and pretty funny. She made the financial process feel less painful than most people would imagine. My brother is not one to express himself openly. However, Mrs. Norris was able to make him smile and feel comfortable with the overall process. I would strongly encourage anyone in the market for a vehicle to start at this dealership. The staff is dynamic!! The hospitality is second to non!. This dealership should be the standard for all dealerships. When I am ready for my next purchase, I am definetely coming back. My expectations have risen and I refuse to settle for anything less. Keep up the great work!!!

I am a Military Officer, used USAA Auto Circle to find the dealer. Spoke with sales representative(Ron Stephenson) before driving out to test drive a car about any extra fees that they charge and was told the only dealership fees were the $200 processing fee. I then drove over 30 miles with my wife and two children(3 months and 1.5 years old). Test drove the vehicle and loved it. Went inside and discussed the price. Initially they wanted me to pay over $2000 more than my USAA approved price would be and I told them there was no way, he then asked what I wanted to pay and I told him a number a few hundred more than USAA had and showed him my print off of what I was promised from their advertising. He went back to manager came back to me with a number a little over 100 dollars from what I told him and said the reason it was then possible was because they had a mistake with the model year and thought it was a 2012 and not the 2011 that all the paperwork said it was. Filled out all the paperwork and then showed what my total price would be. They showed a handwritten extra fee of 3% of the vehicle where I was supposed to pay the commission of the car salesman over $850. Not okay with this I asked for his manager who said that the price they told me I would get was not going to happen now and that this 3% was to make up the difference. I asked for his manager (Lew Gilinsky) who told me that because I was upset he would split the 3% and I would only have to pay another 440 dollars or so to pay their salesman. I asked to see in writing where there procedures as far as salesmans commissions and where it allowed them to charge the customer to pay their employees for them as a separate charge. He replied with there is nothing in writing and that they can negotiate with all of the customers what percentage they charge with max and no minimum. So basically they dont always charge this handrwitten fee to everyone, but the people they dont want to buy a vehicle for their advertised price. I then asked for his boss and he brought me back to talk to the Vice President (Irene McGlone) of Ourisman Chevy who was a real peach herself. Customer Service must not have been taught to her, no idea how she got to her position, it seemed as though she felt untouchable and could treat people however she pleased. It was her Lew and me in her office where they basically tried to blame ZAG.com for the wrong price advertised and When in her office with Lew we discussed the false advertisement they had been showing on the internet. They refused to honor the advertised price or provide me any documentation showing me where their salesman's commission could be charged to the customer as a different fee especially since I asked before I drove all the way out there with my family if there were any other fees other than the $200 processing fee and was told no. Irene McGlone was particularly rude by going back to her computer when we were all talking and when I asked for her bosses name and number she arrogantly replied that she was the Vice President and that all calls stop at her desk. I politely reminded her that vice presidents usually work for presidents. I asked for his number and she quickly blurted out the generic number to Rockville, MD Ourisman. I asked for a pen and she pointed to the one between us on the desk so I picked it up and asked for the number again. After calling the number after leaving her office I learned that the President was Bobby Ourisman who was out of town in Jamaica but when he returned it would be to his office at the Ourisman in Rockville, MD. I then got my family and drove home. On my drive home I called Lew Gilinsky again to have him email me the invoice they were trying to get me to sign showing the added 3% commission fee but said because I was not interested in still buying he would not. I told him I needed it to show Bobby Ourisman when he returns from Jamaica but he said he would ensure he had a copy before I got there. In short to a long review, scammers.

What a great dealership! In this society of so many selfish and untrustworthy people, I was very happy to find a dealership that was upfront and honest in their dealings. Many other dealerships that we had contacted or visited were not passing along the tax credit for the Volt purchase, rather pocketing it themselves. They also were charging $5,000+ supply and demand fee. Ourisman Chevrolet also came through with the best offer on financing the car out of many financial institutions contacted.Joseph Alba spent hours with us in the setup and use of the systems and high technology of the Volt.

Horrible service!!! I brought my Nissan 350Z to have the front bumper repaired here through my insurance company Geico who pushed using this recommended body shop for faster service. Huge mistake!! After having my car for 2 weeks, they tried to give it back to me with the paint not matching (its factory paint and this is a dealership) and the under shield in patched pieces and hanging under my car. It was a horrible job with them still giving me the run around. I never received updates on the progress of my vehicle and still remain in the rental for week number 3 today!! Avoid this place like the plague!!

I was very satisfied with the buying experience at Ourisman. I arrived early before the dealership opened but someone came right out to greet me and offered to assist me immediately. The general manager was made aware that I had driven in from some 300 miles away and she came out, shook my hand and thanked me for visiting their dealership.The vehicle was brought up from the lot to the front of the store. The salesman pointed out some of the features of the truck and asked if I had any questions before we took a test drive. When we returned he focused on our deal and kept me informed as to what was going on with paperwork, loan approval, etc. When the deal was completed I was given a voucher for a full tank of gas and thanked heartily by everyone involved in my transaction.I was treated with respect and I absolutely would, recommend these folks to anyone thinking of buying a vehicle. I worked hard to find a dealership with an allocation for a volt and Meredith Dotson was helpful in securing the allocation and making it easy to arrive at a deal. It didn't require the time that was required in working with other dealerships that I shopped with. The information she gave me was helpful and accurate. She was willing to make commitments in writing. She gave me a timeframe to depend on and then exceeded that timeframe. When I got to the dealership, I met with Bill ? to do the sales paperwork and he introduced me to a Volt expert "Tom" to walk me through basic use of the car. Then I met with the finance person to pay for the car and understand warranty options. They took my personal check to pay for the car (from my investment account) with no questions asked. I was in and out quickly. Great experience.

She quoted over the phone the cost of the vehicle I wanted to the penny (including tax, title, fees) - no game-playing whatsoever. She arranged to have the car ready for my arrival and assigned a salesperson for all personal interactions. Ozzie, my salesperson is top of the line. Friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and ready to do more than I would expect at every turn. He knew exactly what to do and all paperwork was done efficiently. I grew up a FORD man (my wife is the CHEVY girl.) Working with Lawrence, Lew and Herb made the transition experience a lot less painful for me in my changing of loyalty in regards to the truck I drive. On top of the great experience we had working with these guys, so far I am very pleased with the truck. I just got done pulling a really heavy load in our horse trailer and I must say that our new Chevy Silverado did a better job of hauling than our previous truck. Absolutely amazing service, Evan went out of his way to make it a pleasurable buying experience and not pressure me into a sale. I was interested in a 2011 Chevy Cruze, to purchase as my first vehicle but the dealership was located too far away for me to walk to so I called on the phone, and when I discussed my intrest, Evan actually offered to drive me to the dealership from my house to look at the vehicle and the various options. When I got to the dealership, there was no pressure to even purchase a vehicle, let alone get uneeded option. I ended up picking out a Chevy Cruze 1LT with the exact options I wanted, and have owned it for a month now and absolutely love it. The financing department managed to get me car payments that where half the price of my purchased car insurance! This was without me having any history of credit. I told Lawrence that I wanted a 2011 Chevy Cruse and that was the only vehicle he showed me. I also told Lawrence that I do not want to pay a high car note so he found two vehicles that matched my description. What I liked about Lawrence was that when I called he had a print out of both vehicles so when I got there I did not feel like my time was being wasted. I have been following the development of the Volt for the past four years and have become a big fan. When GM announced the launch markets, I searched the DC area dealers and emailed each one, enquiring specifically about the Volt. Only Meredith Dotson of Ourisman replied promptly, specifically and professionally about the Volt buying process. Even though I received reponses from all the dealers I contacted, most were generic Chevrolet form letters. Meredith explained the process clearly and set up an appointment for me to meet with Lew Gilinski, Sales Manager. Lew sat down with me on a Friday Evening, August 6th and we worked through the Chevrolet Work Bench to spec and order the car. A down payment later, I walked out the door with my Volt order in hand. I visited Ourisman a week before the delivery of My volt on Meredith's invitation to take a test drive in a Volt and meet with a Volt Specialist. When I walked in, I was treated like family and both my wife and I were able to take test drives and got all of our questions answered. A week later, Meredith emailed me to say my Volt has arrived! My whole famiy went with me to pick it up. Sadly, we had to say good-bye to our family van that we used as a trade-in. However, we were delighted to see our new Volt all prepped and gleaming in the Service Bay. It had been fully charged and given a full tank of gas! Before driving it away, we needed to an orientation session with Chris Johnson, who filled us in on starting, driving, charging and setting up Onstar. Quite patient and professional. I had originally intended to lease the Volt, but on Saturday, Ourisman's Lease Manager was not available, so Lew set me up with a loan. The terms are pretty nice, so coupled with the Tax Rebate, I think I'll keep the loan and keep the car. Thanks Ourisman, you guys are quite a Team!

Called dealer and Chris Johnson responsed. We asked to see two types of cars. Chrisinvited to come see the models we requested as they had several kinds of both vehiclesto see. We meet with Chris that day and he explained and answered our questions. We were able to drive both types. Chris did not pressue us to buy a better model or a more expensive one. We went home to decide what we wanted and called back the next dayto tell Chris we had decided on the 2011 Equinox LS. Chris said it would be ready and when we arrived it was ready. We drove the vehicle, completed the paperwork and were home by dinnertime.We could not believe how easy this whole transaction occurred. My wife and I visisteda number of dealerships looking for the right car for us. Most dealers wanted to showus more expensive models and were in some cases unwilling to say they could get the model we wanted!! We fully recommend Ourisman of Bowie as they provided the bestcar buying experience of my 70 years. I originally went into the dealership just to look at the new Camaro and get a trade in quote on my Ford Edge. Missy Heim approached me and was very helpful in showing me the new Camaro and everything they had to offer. She also got the ball rolling on my trade in quote pretty fast. Missy really took care of me and made me feel like she really cared. I have unfortunately met my fair share of bad employees and Missy is definitely not one of them. I would definitely refer any friends or co-workers of mine to Missy if they were interested in buying a car. Also, Missy went out of her way to bring over my new Camaro on a Sunday from their sister lot which was closed so I could see for myself if I even liked the white Camaro. I am equally happy with my purchase as I am with the great care I received from Missy while working with her.

I took my 2010 Equinox in to have a Service Airbag warning looked at and they all but flat out refused to look at my car. I called to make an appointment on 6/24/10 and the earliest time I could get was on 6/30/10 at 3pm. I show up and explain the problem. The rep I dealt with (Shane) gave me every excuse he could come up with to not look at my vehicle. First it was oh it could take several hours to look into the problem. Then it was oh I've been seeing lots of 2009 and 2010 cars that have an Air bag alarm go off and then they go away. Next it was, oh its not happening right now then we can't do anything. I explained that it was happening at random times and I can't predict when it would happen again. Then he tells me that there is an issue with the sensor in the passengers seat that will sometimes register a small amount of wait and then kicks an error. The error will take some time to clear. He told me if that was the problem, he won't waste his technicians time troubleshooting the problem.At this point I was a bit upset. Then I get the guilt trip answer. If you want to we can look into it, but it may take several hours or days to fix the problem. But he again tells me, he doesn't want to waste his technicians time if its just the sensor issue. Here's a thought, if you know there are issues with Airbag system sensors. Don't you think you should document them. Also made the comment, he again didn't want to waste his time or Chevy's time with a small issue like the sensor problem.So they let me walk out of there with out doing anything to my vehicle when I was telling my Airbag system was issuing warning. I could have insisted that they do something, but I have lost all confidence that they will do anything. I can't take the chance that they will take my car and just park it around back for two hours. Then bring it back to me and say they did troubleshoot it, when they really didn't do anything.I will wait for it to happen again and then find a place with a service center that takes my issue seriously and won't let me walk out the door with a potentially hazardous vehicle.

My wife and I had gone out car shopping in the past, same old same old ! The salesman runs out jam's the sales pitch at you, try's to get your info then throws you in a car... At ourisman we were treated much diffrently!! We walked in and a salesman invited us to his desk and sat us down, he then asked us what OUR wants and needs were and how could he help us acheive that goal!! Nice change of pace!! We were interested in a vehicle that they had one that we had seen on there website. He grabed some keys and off we went.To make a long story short they gave us the vehicle we were interested in at a price better than we were expecting to pay! As far as I'm concerned that is the real goal!!! They exceded our expectations and we were thrilled!!! Not to mention that we were our salesmans first sale!!! So for us to get a deal better than expected and the fun of working with the "new guy" made the whole experience fun!!! Much better than the usuall hammering you normally get!!! Great price! They were able to locate the truck that met my needs, get it from another dealer, and work with me to fit it in my budget.I had to return the next evening to drop my new truck off for accessory installation. They did a great job, cleaned the truck again, and even transfered my Ravens sticker from my old truck to the new one. That's service! This has been one of the best experiences purchasing anything, ever! I knew that I wanted to do a factory order on a new Silverado. I shopped around to different dealerships, and Ourisman Bowie had the lowest price in the DC area. I started working with Meredith and she thoroughly guided me through everything until it was time to place the order. This was handled by Lew, who was straightforward on price and showed me every piece of dealer documentation I asked to see. I actually got the truck well below invoice. After we ordered, Meredith kept me posted on build and delivery dates, but out of the blue I got a call saying that the truck would be in in a few days, 3 weeks before we thought I would take delivery! When I got to the dealership to take delivery, Bill handled all the paperwork, was friendly, and stayed to chat with us while we waited on the business office. All-in-all, if you're looking for a factory order, look no further than Ourisman Chevy in Bowie. The thing that impressed me most out of this dealership was that they never pressured me to get anything off the lot, they respected that I knew exactly what I wanted in a factory order. This would have to be the worst service department to deal with ever. We took our 07 Tahoe in for Warranty work and it has come back to us, each time, worse then when it went in. Our truck has gone back 5 times now in the past 6 months, for things they ruined or put on defective parts. For example, they blew one of our tires and while putting a new tire on, they scratched the wheel really bad. They also put a deep scratch in the paint on one of our rear doors and proceeded to do an awful paint job. The paint had dirt in it, the gloss was peeling off and to top it off they got over spray on the passenger door. I could go on and on about everything they have done wrong or tried to pass off as acceptable work. I would not recommend this dealership for any type of service work. Purchasing our truck from them was fine. The sales people were great. Who would of thought the service department would be this awful.
