I put money down on a jeep. It was still advertised online and at a cheaper price. Would not honor cheaper price. Randy just kept saying it was a mistake. We made 2 4 hour round trips to purchase this vehicle and they did not even fill the gas tank for us. Very poor customer service as far as I'm concerned. I cannot believe that the price would have been lowered $500 without their permission. Buyer beware

Great experience. I live in Birmingham, AL and found a used car at Pilson in Mattoon, IL. I talked to Terry McFarland and he gave me the details and sent a video. Terry was very helpful and honest. I stressed that before I made a 450 mile trip, make sure the car was as described and everything worked. He assured me it was up to par. He was right. It was everything I expected. I purchased 5 cars from long distance and I must say this was my best experience. Great facility and nice people. No surprises. Refreshing. Keep up the good work!

Make sure you have a diagnostic test done before purchasing. I traded a perfectly good suv in for a vehicle that I was told they would fix and now that they know how much parts are they backed out on fixing it. Although they are willing to fix the brakes which is the cheapest job that needs to be done. After getting the brakes fixed I will not return.

BUYERS BEAWRE, PLEASE READ!!! As someone who worked sales for years i can PROMISE you will be better at any other dealership. Please go to KC Summers, Diepholz Auto, ANYWHERE BUT HERE! I will start by saying we purchased a 2008 Jeep Wrangler. We loved the vehicle at the time of test drive however the CHECK ENGINE light came on few minutes into our test drive. We returned the car back to the lot and they PROMISED us (one of many false promises) they would get the car repaired so we could buy it. We then got a call from Michael Howell (Sales person) that the car had been repaired. We then bought the car just for ALL THE SAME LIGHTS TO COME ON WITHIN 24 HOURS! The Jeep went back 4 Times in 2 1/2 Months of ownership to be repaired. We finally got to the point we expressed we felt like we were sold a LEMON. They agreed to get us out of the car and into something new AT OUR LOSS. They Kept our entire $4000 Down payment from that jeep. Ready for the catch... We then were told they would "BUY US OUT" ONLY IF WE BOUGHT A CAR OFF THERE LOT. Then had the Audacity to share a post on Facebook saying "Returning customer". We didn't return by our own will we returned forcefully. To Continue they have reposted our JEEP AT $3000 MORE THEN WHAT WE BOUGHT IT FOR 2 1/2 MONTHS AGO! They are scam artist. Someone will be stuck with that lemon because god knows they don't fix anything they say they are going to. My parents also bought a car from there two months ago just to get the same poor services we did. Our sales person was not honest slightly and the General Manger (Scott) is extremely disrespectful and will hang up on you when you express concerns. So again PLEASE NOTE THERE ARE SO MANY REPUTABLE DEALERSHIPS IN THIS AREA PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE LOSS. GO ELSEWHERE. From a person who sold cars for years i have never seen such POOR customer services from any other dealership!!!! Jamie feel free to contact me!

I buy my cars from Pilsons in charleston Ill, and have always had great customer service from the sales team and finance team... Recently I purchased my second Lincoln MKS from Travis Stanfield and I have to say he went above and beyond to find me this car. You can be assured when you walk into Pilsons you will always see the whole staff smiling and ready to help you out.. The General Manager John has always treated me very well and has done an amazing job building the team he has in Charleston

Randy McDonald from Charleston helped me out before and after the sale. Chris Whitley was a very nice guy also. Everyone was real polite and nice and no complaints. If I knew anyone I would tell them to go to Pilsons!

I stopped in unexpectedly because I saw an amazing Jeep that I just had to have! The Salesman, Travis, was great to work with. Several months later when I switched from hard top to soft top I found that I was missing 3 very important parts to soft top. I called Travis and he researched my issue and handled everything to ensure it was all resolved. Very Satisfied!

The entire sales staff was awesome from the second me and my family got there. Once we got into the dealership we were sat down and they actually listened to our needs ... and WANTS! We got the car of our dreams and saved a lot of time and money in the process. Was very impressed that the manager even walked out and shook me and my wife's hand and thanked us for the business (it's the small things). Mr. Dotson really seemed to care, and every other place I went the manager never even came out of the office! We got the payment we wanted and they even fit a warranty in. SO SO SO HAPPY. My kids keep asking us when are going back so they can play with the legos. I highly recommend. And when you go, see Travis Stanfield... he is the best!

My first experience went well except after buying my SUV they inform me of an issue a week later, all was fixed no problems. I am was not happy with my purchase after 6 months so I went back wanting to trade it in and and they would not even come close to what I paid for it or even try to get me something else. Mind you in 6 months I hadn't even put a thousand miles on this vehicle! Very Very Unhappy!!

Bought a truck that had a problem they are fixing but didnt tell me that when i signed the papers the truck wouldnt be ready. They kept trying to push the extended warranty and when you say no they kept trying to sell you reduced versions of one. When you tell them no on something you figure they would stop trying to include the service plan into the payment. Overall salesman was nice and friendly and everyone was polite and very helpful. Just dont care for the service plan pushing and trying to almost sneak one into my contract.

We looked at 2 different vans and test drove both. We decided to go with the second van and filled out the paperwork and gave them the title to our vehicle. we were told the van needed to be detailed and we could come the next afternoon to get the van. They call and tell us to come on down, When we get there we are told that they also want cash down along with my trade...WTH? this had not been discussed and the salesman had told us our trade-in was our down payment. We drove over 45 minutes to get to this car lot each time. we made 3 different trips and on the last one we got our vehicle title back and decided we will go elsewhere to get a van. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!

My 18yo son and I came to Pilson's to look for a dependable car for him to drive to college. We tried dealing on one and could not get it done so they put us in another nice car to try. We came to terms and the salesman returned and shook my son's hand congratulating him on his new car. One problem...no deal from the bank yet. He called later and said the bank wants more money down. Don't congratulate me untile the deal is done and you are handing me the keys.

I have never been a fan of dealerships or car salesmen,I have been to a couple of dealerships that looked at me and my lack of credit history and said"WE CAN NOT HELP YOU" Than I met Jim Javens, First we met over the phone. He made me feel very relaxed, He took his time and walked me thru everything from filling out the paperwork to listening to my and my families needs, He than told me that he would do what he could to help us out and that he would contact me, That I did not need to come to the dealership until he had me pre approved, He contacted me 2 days later with a approved amount and than we set up a time for us to come and meet him, Our meeting was like seeing and old friend that I have not seen in years..He told us our options and let us look and decide what we wanted,,It was a no pressure experience. when we decided what we wanted he worked with us and got us the best deal..He and the whole Pilson group have been nothing but warm and caring for me and my families needs..The vehicle we picked had a front brake shimmy and he had the repair done. He than put us in a loaner car for the day and night while the repair was done..CAN YOU SAY WOW!!!!That shocked me and made me a customer for life...I have told evryone I know that are thinking of buying a used or new car to call..as my 10year old daughter say's..UNCLE JIM
