My initial buying experience was not great. The salesperson did a very poor job of acquainting me with my new Jeep Cherokee L. I left the lot really not knowing enough about my car. HOWEVER, I was able to return to the dealership this week and was absolutely thrilled with the help I received. Elliot made my day. He was so kind and helpful. Bought a used 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee about 6 wks ago here - one of the better buying experiences I've had (and i'm 50). The sales advisor's passion and knowledge about the vehicle was far above average and the honesty and effort toward great customer service I found dealing with their finance, service and parts folks was exemplary. Only been to service for 2 minor things (new key fob for example) and they were very respectful of my time and provided accurate time estimates for service both times. And after I had difficulty getting a new, free owners manual (evidently only provided to original owners from Chrysler/Jeep) a man in the parts department went out of his way to obtain a manual for my vehicle and handed it to me as I left with my newly programmed key fob. These things in and of themselves may not seem huge, but the impact they made on us was significant- the people are good and genuine and we'll go back for that as well as their products.

I was interested in a new 2016 Dodge Charger R/T. I sent an inquiry I was email 2 days later. Then that was it. Sent a second inquiry the following week. Someone finally called. I talked and gave information on my trade, was they would get back to me with a estimated value. A week goes by and still no call back, so I called and the person I talked to gave me the estimated value. Which was $2000 lower then what I had just gotten 3 week earlier. Again I what told them they "would get back to me". I wasn't a direct line of a dealer and most of all I wasn't treated like a surious buyer. I just found the overall experience unhelpful.

My experience with Salt Lake Valley was really great. I first came in in March 2016 to look at the Grand Cherokee and told Bret Simons that I was looking for a June/July Sale date. I returned in July and quickly found my Jeep Cherokee that I wanted as the Grand Cherokee was a little large of a load for a future RV purchase (Towing toad). I had a great sales person Bret Simons who showed me a few models that I wanted to see and never was pushy, thats a plus when shopping for a large purchase. Shall I need another Jeep vehicle in the future I would return to Salt Lake due to inventory and sales associates. This was an out of state purchase.

I bought a used car from this dealership at the start of the month. The 5 minute test drive went great. I was told I could I could get the car looked at by an outside mechanic if I left a deposit. But later the dealership seemed wary about it (I wasn't sure why). Another salesman told me that I couldn't and reassured me of the cars quality and the inspection that it received. I bought the car. 1 day later on a 20 minute drive it started to smell like oil. The next day on a 45 minute drive, it started smoking. Now I know why they didn't let me get it looked at. I took it back to the dealership and spoke with Gabe, the sales manager, and he told me that I should have bought a warranty and sent me on my way. I called and asked to speak with someone else about the issue, that gentleman apologized about Gabe's response, and scheduled me an appointment. I showed up for the appointment and Gabe told me that guy had a family emergency and took me into his office to tell me again that he was willing to do nothing. The repairs came out to $2,300 and the inspection paperwork that I received, giving this car a clean bill of health was obviously falsified. This type of fraud and negligence can be expected from a hole in the wall dealership, but not from a dealership of this supposed caliber. I am extremely disappointed and will post this review everywhere else possible to prevent someone else from being taken advantage of by this dealership.

We found a couple of issues on a used car that we liked and test drove. The radio didn't work and a fuse was blown. The dealership was very nice and offered to repair both of the issues for free if we bought the car. I asked if the car was AWD, and the salesman made an honest mistake and said it was. I called the next day, and the dealership was willing to take the car back when I found out that it was FWD. We ended up keeping the car, but it was a positive experience overall.

I have already test driven two 2015 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawks and spent many days doing research before I had went online at Salt Lake Valley CDJR, so I knew exactly what I was getting into when I had decided to look online for any 2015 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk equipped with a V6. I had found one in their inventory that was a Deep Cherry Red, stock #J15603A. I had submitted my interest of that particular vehicle to them on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015 and begun the credit process. Keep in mind that they are located in Salt Lake City and I live three hours away in Vernal Utah. After a short time Ally had called me and said that I was approved!The next day (on Veteran's Day) I had made the three hour trip out to them to begin the purchase process. I was informed that my vehicle of choice was just recently sold and the inventory hasn't been updated yet. So they had asked me of a comparable unit was acceptable. I told them that it had to be the 2015 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk with the V6 in one of five colors. Parked not that far away from where I was standing was a Granite Gray Cherokee, Stock #15610A, that had met all of my requirements. That Granite Gray sure did look good in the sunlight!This day was Ally's day off, but she had came in just to help me throughout the entire process. This had thoroughly impressed me! This had shown me how dedicated that they were to providing excellent customer service. Ally began to introduce some of the many features about that particular unit, including the crumple zone in the engine compartment, which I had not heard of or seen online. She had proceeded to tell me more about the vehicle, which had been quite a load of information.It was time to take the unit out for a test drive. As we were driving Ally had shown me more of the car's features, including the UConnect features, the display screen, and much more. As we approached the Interstate I was afraid of punching it, but Ally said to "go for it!" I was very impressed with the instant response that I felt. This machine is a beast waiting to be unleashed!Once we arrived back at the dealership we had begun the paperwork process. This process was the most painless that I've ever experienced. I got to meet the staff, including but not limited to, Brandon Smith in the Service dept, Reese, Gabe, Ghassan, and many others. All of these people were never pushy. They had made sure that I was comfortable and always let me know that they had refreshments.Once the final slip of paper was signed, the temp tag went up, Ally had proceeded to answer more of my questions that I had. Please make note that she was getting cold from the lowering temperatures, but she had insisted that she was ok. She wanted to be sure that I knew everything that I had needed to know about that particular unit before I had drove it off the lot. Her knowledge and expertise was outstanding!As I was driving back home I couldn't help but notice as to how well that the vehicle was so expertly engineered! It drove like a dream! Thanks to the wonderful staff at Salt Lake Valley CDJR I was able to drive home in my new dream vehicle. I especially want to thank Ally for everything that she had done, she did not have to come in on her day off, but she did. These people have my respect for life.

What can I say? My plans of purchasing a new vehicle were only in the works, and I was looking at a purchase time frame around from January 2016 to July 2016. I was only looking for a test drive to insure that the vehicle choice that I have made was the right choice. I've been looking into the Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk for several months now. My specifications for a Cherokee was that had to be the Trailhawk with the optional V6. I was even willing to drive three hours from home to shop at this particular dealership. When I had arrived at the dealership the Cherry Red Cherokee Trailhawk that I was very interested in was just recently sold, but the staff made every effort to insure that they had a comparable unit on the lot. The one that they had selected was perfect in every way, even the Granite Gray color was awesome in person! Regarding the staff, what really impressed me is that the sales person that I had spoken to on the phone the day before was off for the day, but she had came in on her day off just to assist me through the entire shopping experience. She had answered every question accurately and confidently, and was sure to ask if I was comfortable or not. She was an amazing person, as well as the rest of the staff. I will highly recommend ANYONE to visit this big town dealership with a small town friendly service. I drove home that evening with a brand new dream vehicle with a huge smile on my face. The Jeep drove like a dream. It was tame and mild mannered, but underneath the hood was a beast waiting to be unleashed, and on the hill climbs and in the passing lanes this Jeep shined brightly.

I left feeling it was important to the staff to provide me with honest answers and a simple, but, thorough experience. I never felt like I was being coerced to purchase a vehicle I wasn't interest in or pushed to look at vehicles above my price range. I gave the sales and finance staff my parameters and they worked with me to insure my needs were met. The process was handled very efficiently. My sales staff didn't leave me alone for multiple, extended periods of time while he appeared to talk his sales manager into giving me a better deal. Both the purchase and finance processes were completed in a reasonable time frame.

The fact that my oil life indicator on the instrument panel was reset. The windshield sticker reflected my next oil change at 7000 miles instead of only 3000 on the previous dealers sticker. The work was done and a difficult problem to find was found. Nothing worse than an intermittent. Larry my service adviser kept pushing the mechanics and calling me for more information until it was nailed down and then it was fixed quickly. Larry is a friend that everyone should have. Walked in with the wife in a buying mood and the wife fell in love with the Mega Cab. Quick paperwork, approved quickly and I even traded in 2 vehicles which I did not have with me on a Saturday. They quoted my vehicles just by pictures and I was happy. I shook hands and said lets do it. I did not expect to drive it home that night because both my trade in's were at home. After doing some online research on a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee I emailed and chatted with all of the local Jeep dealerships. I got the run around and false promises from all BUT Salt Lake Valley Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram. From the very beginning I was able to access their inventory online and see real world pricing (like most of the other jeep dealerships), the difference being that when I requested a quote from the other dealerships they immediately began the monologue of car salesman speak. You know that continuous run around of "you have to come see us", or "I cant give you that information online even though we have an online representative", or "can we have your mobile phone number because we don't want to put anything in writing", or "we simply want to get you in and wear you down so that you just want to get a car, any car, get it over with and run away". However, when I emailed Salt Lake Valley Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram something entirely unexpected occurred, they actually emailed me back with an honest, real quote. Yes you heard me, they gave me a real quote online and even gave me better pricing than my research had led me to believe was possible. When I got to the dealership they treated me like a long time friend. They were very helpful even before they new I had already received an online quote. They allowed me to browse the lot without a tag along. They answered all my questions and were genuinely concerned with what I needed. After telling them about my online quote they didn't start the "lets pass the client around game" the salesman handled my requests pulled the car in question around and made it easy for me to want to stay and conduct my business. My financing questions were answered with great detail and I left with the car I set out to buy the way I wanted to buy it. My thanks go out to Big Mike, Trevor and Keyvan for making this the best car buying experience I have ever had. I look forward to doing business with you all again.

When I first purchased my van in 2009, I took it to the Ken Garff dealership in West Valley City for regular maintenance. They were never personable, and I had multiple visits where I left completely frustrated. About a year ago, I decided to find a new dealership. The moment I drove into the service department at Salt Lake Valley, I could feel a difference. Everyone that I have worked with has been kind, cheerful, and incredibly helpful. They get my van in and out quickly, and understand my time constraint, since I normally have my three young boys with me. It is so nice to know I have a dependable place to take my van, with people that are willing and happy to serve.

I purchased a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Sport. As soon as I drove off the lot with my new Jeep the fuel light came on. I had just purchased a new vehicle and it was delivered to me on empty. This was the first of many problems with the Dealership. I requested and was promised a 4 inch TeraFlex lift, rims, tires and tint at the time of my purchase. I was quoted $7060 for those items and that was the amount I paid in addition to the purchase price. I was referred by the Dealership to Dealership International to have the work performed. As soon as I sat down with Dealership International I was informed that I was getting a Rubicon Express 3 and a half inch lift. Not a TeraFlex. In addition to this I learned through my own investigation that Rubicon Express as well as ProComp the maker of the tires are both parent companies of Dealership International. I asked for a price breakdown of what I was getting and was repeatedly ignored. Finally after my insistence I was given a price breakdown of $6403. When I brought to Mike's attention that I had paid $7060 he added an additional amount of $139 for the mud flaps he had agreed to provide to me free of charge, for my inconvenience during the process. Which brought the total to $6552. Mike made no offer to refund me the balance of what was left. He stated that was his commission for selling me the vehicle. It was only after my demand for the balance that it was returned to me. Mike went on to state that the Dealership does not normally give an itemized list of product and work performed. So if I had not demanded an itemized list, Mike would have pocketed the balance of what I had over paid and was owed. None of my LiftShield Warranty was explained to me and I was given the run around every time I requested to speak with a General Manager. I believe the Dealership is running a scam, by quoting a blanket price for labor and materials for aftermarket items and pocketing the difference. When I requested my stock rims and tires which I had purchased when I brought my vehicle, they were given to me, however Mike informed me that he was doing me a favor, because the Dealership does not normally return them. Even though I had paid for them. This was one of the worst purchasing process that I have ever experienced.

We purchased a new 2013 car here and asked for a DVD system, since we were at a dealership we expected that it would be a factory DVD system. It didn't seem that like a big deal to the salesmen and the car's stereo can play DVD's. So we went along with it. Lesson learned. We should have asked for a brochure or more information. It was an after market DVD, some mystery brand, it was an EXPENSIVE OPTION TO ADD. Now to hear sound through the speakers we have a wire dangling out of our glove box and then we plug it into the AUX input of the car's stereo. Another complaint is that the engine must be running to watch a DVD. This is our second car with the a DVD system and the previous system (in a 2004) was much better. After several calls and visits complaining about the installation they have yet to call me back. During the visit where I showed the salesmen the wire he agreed that he didn't think the installation was very professional. That was weeks ago and I have yet to hear back from him. We have purchased a warranty and now I am extremely nervous. If this is the kind of service I get then it appears to me that the chances are very strong that they will weasel their way out of the warranty. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

The Wasatch front is full of auto dealers I wanted honesty and a great experience. In my travels to basically every dealer close to home I found the only thing beautiful with the "big" dealers were their facilities. I was met with salesmen who acted like bloodhounds in order to get me into a car. One thing about me is you will not push me into buying anything especially from a shady salesmen at the dealers that "hear you." It's all a facade. I truly gave up in purchasing a new Chrysler after being misinformed, lied to, humiliated, and out right scared to go into another dealer. A friend of mine recommended to me that I drive slightly out of my way and visit Salt Lake Valley and WOW! I was met with genuine people and a whole different environment I hadn't been use to. I found the car within 20 minutes, the younger salesmen new exactly what I needed and treated me like a human. They have been fantastic the entire time I've owned the vehicle. By staying in touch and making sure i'm satisfied, I truly felt valued and respected something you would think would be easy for most. Since then my mother and uncle have both purchased new vehicle from Salt Lake Valley! Don't let the bright lights and big store fool you they don't "hear you" and they don't care.

Hinckley Dodge was recently sold and the name was changed to Salt Lake Valley Dodge...Visited their new Dealership, Salt Lake Valley Dodge: I was in their on Saturday, 4/13/13, and purchased a Truck, I left the dealership about 5:30 p.m. Upon getting home, I realized that I really cannot afford the vehicle. I called back about 7:30 p.m., they were closed. I was at their door Monday morning when they opened, and tried to talk to them about my situation. I explained that I could not afford the payments. I asked about trying to work with me, I was even willing to pay a fee $1,000 for their trouble, they would not budge. I was told by my sales guy that he would have to talk to his manager, who would not be in until 12:30 p.m. I left the truck there, and took the bus home, as to not add additional miles to the vehicle. I returned at 12:30, and he basically said the same thing, but I could speak to the owner. I immediately went to speak to the owner, but he was unavailable. I left a message and asked him to call me, he never did. I returned to the Dealership twice more that day, but was unable to meet with the owner. I went again on Tuesday morning, and again the owner was not available. I left another message, but still have not heard back. I spoke to the Sales Manager about the possibility of a different vehicle, which would have a lower payment; again he refused to even discuss options. I asked about some of the extra service agreements being removed, they would not even look at it. I indicated that I absolutely cannot make that payment, but they are not willing to look at any options. I understand that I signed a contract, but I also understand customer service, and trying to at least entertain or offer some options, NOTHING. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! As of this time, still trying to meet with the owner.

Purchased a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 from Hinckley Dodge in March 2011. Drove the truck home and within one day the sensor for low tire pressure came on. Called the service department immediately and Chad said swing on by we will look at it. Okay well "swinging by" is 60 miles and an hour away since I live in Liberty, Utah Well the next time I was in SLC I stopped in and Chad "checked" it out. I am going to assume this consisted of putting some air in the tire which made the sensor go off. Within 3 or 4 days the sensor light was on again. Called Chad and this time he actually told me to ignore it. YES IGNORE IT! I am sure this will void my warranty was my response and not wanting that I trucked it on down to SLC again. More of my time sitting around the dealership. Again Chad says okay it's fixed but won't tell me if he has replaced the sensor just that it's not on amymore. He keeps trying to say it is the change in the weather temperature. This defies common sense since not ALL the tires had lost pressure just one! So this has been going on now for almost 2 years. 7 different visits regarding this tire sensor. Chad decides to inform me today that my extended warranty will cover a new sensor and it will only cost me $100 for the deductible. First problem I have with this answer is why didn't you say that 2 years ago? Now this is a whopper I had done some research a while back about those sensors and had found that those TPMS sensors are only about $11. The time to change them is only 15 minutes or so. I found this to be an utter insult. So please anyone thinking about dealing with this dealership please DO NOT! The competency level there is somewhere in the 60% range according to all the reviews I have been able to find and where I went to school that was a FAILING GRADE!

1/30/2012 bought "factory rebuilt transmission with 3/yr 100,000 mile warrantee". 3/28/2012 - returned the car with transmission issues 7 TIMES and only driven 1,069 miles. First time back was less than 200 miles later -- seems like I have been back every week since then. They either can't find any issue or keep replacing the same two parts. They REFUSE to replace the transmission. Care is back there again with same issues, same engine light code, same everything. DO NOT GET YOUR SERVICE DONE HERE - they will fight you every step of the way and just keep trying to "fix" things vs. REPLACE things.

They only provide a shuttle drop off, so if that is your only vehicle, you have to find your way back to the dealership. They told me to drop off my vehicle Monday, it's now Wednesday and when I called, they haven't gotten to my vehicle yet. So what was the point of dropping off my vehicle on Monday!!!!
