The shopping and purchasing process was easy and pleasant...no hard sales tactics and no gimmicks. The dealership website was very useful in assisting me with narrowing down the model and make of vehicle available that fit my needs and my budget. Arranging a test drive was easy and convenient. The sales and paperwork process went smoothly and was hassle free. The sales staff was knowledge able the my vehicle and he was able to answer my questions and did a good job of explaining and demonstrating the vehicle features.

Be vary wary dealing with shelor, I got into a lease vehicle, the way it was explained would be allowed a certain amount of miles annually, what was not explained was they would have some weird formula dividing it up every few months, and when you do go over that rigged formula your payment skyrockets.. problems with the vehicle you dont catch you will be liable for..buyer beware.

My buying process began online, where my questions were answered honestly and promptly. When I showed up at the dealership, unannounced, I was quickly and seamlessly transferred to a salesman. My trade-in was appraised fairly. I intended to make this an initial visit to see if I could do business with this dealership. They accommodated my late arrival and based on their price, inventory, and options available, I was able to drive away that same night in the car I bought. The dealership was professional and the process was painless! I was impressed by the speed and total lack of pressure tactics during the completion of the deal. I was offered options without feeling "strong-armed", which was not true of my last Subaru dealer. I highly recommend this dealer. My new Subaru will last for a long time, but I will eventually make it back to Motor Mile Subaru.

Had Forrester serviced several times, and they said brakes were good. Just found out that all brakes are bad. Rear brakes entirely gone, and rotors have to be replaced because of metal on metal grinding. Good brakes wouldn't have been that worn if a mechanic had actually checked the brakes.

After visiting several dealerships in our area and not finding a vehicle in our price range and that we liked, my husband and I decided to visit the Motor Mile Dealerships. When we arrived, we were met by friendly sales staff. We discussed what we were looking for in a vehicle and ask to see the Subaru advertised on television. Our salesman told us he would get the key and we could take the suv on a test drive.The suv was not the color that we wanted. Our salesman then checked their inventory and an Suv ( the color we wanted) had arrived that day but had not been there long enough to be processed into their system. Our salesman and their staff processed that vehicle in a short time, enabling us to take the suv with us the same day.Our salesman with much patience and knowledge went over the bells and whistles of our new vehicle until we felt confident driving the vehicle home. Although we spent more by going up to a Subaru Forrester Prime, we found with our salesman's help, the very car we had been looking for and with features we needed and wanted. All said and done, buying a vehicle from Motor Mile Subaru was pleasant experience.

The truck inventory on site at the time of purchase was somewhat limited but I found the perfect truck for my needs. The sales staff was very friendly and worked with me to get the deal and meet the price range and warranty I wanted. Overall a good truck buying experience. My car inspection and oil change on Aug 31 went very well - no problems. I did receive a rejection sticker and they had to order a brake line to have it pass inspection. I could not return the next day due to my work schedule so I went on Saturday Sept 3. At that time I waited for 1 1/2 hours only to hear that they had ordered an off brand name part instead of the KIA dealer part and therefore it did not fit. They had to put the faulty brake line back on my car. I was irritated, frustrated and a bit angry at this situation. Not only did I wait 1 1/2 hours for them to work on my car, but had cancelled a holiday gathering with friends to get my car repaired. I also had to drive my car home with a faulty brake line and will have to drive it to work on Thursday and then to Shelor's shop to have it repaired, and again wait 1 1/2 - 2 hours to get it repaired. I feel that this is totally out of character for the service I have received in the past. The off brand part was ordered to save me money or was it to save Shelor money. It did not work and I do not expect to pay the difference in price due to your miscalculations in purchasing the part. This experience totally makes me think twice about the service. I am not pleased at all with the service I received on Saturday Sept 3. I expect the best of consideration on Thursday when I return for a second time to get my car serviced. I asked if I could have an appointment and they said that it is not guaranteed as to how long I will have to wait. Not an acceptable policy.

When I arrived for my appointment, the gentleman came right out, with a smile, greeted me, answered all my questioned, and told me they would have my truck back to me in time to meet my children school bus. Over 16 years ago I purchased a used car from Shelor and I had a rough experience. I swore I would never go back there to purchase anything. However, I was able to get a price promise through Edmunds.com with Shelor Toyota and this was the factor that pushed to give them another try. Needless to say, this experience totally blew away my former one. Everything about the process was excellent: no pressure to buy; respect for my need to consider options and think through choices; positive, helpful service and information. I am satisfied with everything except the ending. The approach with the extended warranty & GAP insurance was not only a surprise but was, what I felt, a pressured decision with a short time frame. When first approached with the "final monthly payment" I was then sent to discuss GAP insurance/extended warranty, which was fine. Little did I know that my monthly payment would increase & I would be forced to make my final decision before I left that day (this was the last process). I am glad that Shelor offers this extra coverage/warranty but feel that the approach was poor. Perhaps mentioning this coverage prior to arriving that day or at the beginning of the visit that day so the consumer has more than a 5/10 minute window to decide and could do some research on the offered coverage/warranty prior to making their final decision would be a better approach.

Took my Toyota Pruis in for the first 5,000 mileage check and it was great experience. They took my car back quickly and in less than 30 minutes had me out the door. They explained the services that were performed and let me know at the next 5,000 mile check the oil would changed and everything would be checked again. Very pleased with the service so far.

Even the car buying process, in general a pain at best, got 5 stars! My brother-in-lay (Lutheran Minister from NY) had horrible luck purchasing a car in his own town (not in the city, but in the Catskill area) and so my husband suggested he come to VA and found him a good 2015 used Sportage with only 7,200 miles on it at Shelor Motor Mile. Since the nice salesman who sold us our vehicle was out sick (get well soon Richard), Charlie Taylor helped us out. After minimal haggling (like I said, the buying process is what it is), my brother-in-law walked out with a very good vehicle for a very good price and Charlie even paired up the Bluetooth to phone (NY dealer would not even try) and went over other options on the car so he would be familiar with everything.With 30 day temp plates to get him to NY and all the paperwork he will need to take care of paperwork when he gets home, my brother-in-law is quite happy with all the help and service. This is our second great experience with the dealer and we will most likely buy anther car from them when our present one wears out. And I would not doubt our brother-in-law driving back down for his next car as well. Thanks Shelor and especially Charlie for all his hard work!

I contacted the dealership via email regarding a couple different new cars advertised (online) from their lot. Since I wasn't convenient to their location, I wanted to ensure that I could work with them before traveling a couple hours (instead of wasting my time and theirs). The dealership quickly responded to my inquires and made some excellent proposals, so I set up a day to travel there and test drive several vehicles on their lot. I drove two used (almost new) vehicles and two brand new vehicles. Hands down, it was the best "car buying" experience that I have ever had! I live in Cary, NC but come to Christiansburg often to visit friends and family. I have been doing some research on trading my Audi A4 and decided while I was in town that I would give Shelor a try. I have purchase 2 vehicles in the past from Shelor, so I knew they had a great reputation for customer service.I did my research on line first with Shelor, and found a few vehicles I was interested in. I came in and met with Nathan May. The vehicle that I originally chose online wasn't quite the vehicle for me, so Brandon listened to my preferences and together we searched for another vehicle on their lot. We found a beautiful 2016 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk.There was no pressure to buy, but I knew that I wanted to purchase the Trailhawk. We negotiated back and forth a few times on the trade-in price, and they ultimately agreed to my offer. This was a very stress-free experience! Nathan was great to work with!

I called to make my 5000 mile service appointment, the lady that answered the phone was very polite, soft spoken. she represented the service dept. well. I arrived for my appt., the gentlemen came right out, called me by my name, ask if this was what I was here for today. He ask if I had any concerns. They took my 4 Runner ,and within 45 minutes it was returned. everyone was extremely nice, polite, helpful, there if I had a question. thank you all!!!

When I was purchasing a vehicle from the dealership, I expressed that I wanted a touch screen ratio in the vehicle. (They didn't have any on the lot) they said they were would put on in. We purchased the vehicle. when we called to set up the appointment they told us over the phone it was supposed to only take 2 hours. When we showed up to get the touch screen ratio installed, we were supposed to have a "londer vehicle" to use for the time being until the vehicle was ready, they said that they didn't have any and there was nothing they can do. They also told us that now it was going to take 4 hours to have it installed. We asked what we were supposed to do because we live 1 1/2 hours away. They told us we can walk to there waiting area. After walking around for 20 minutes completely lost and feeling embarrassed and humiliated. We see the service department at the top of the hill after walking for another 15 minutes we get there and when we told the receptionist that we are waiting for our vehicle and she told us that if we want a vehicle that we can rent one or wait the 4 hours. I will never buy another vehicle from this establishment or ever have my vehicle serviced there again.

I would like to say I enjoyed my experience during my visit a whole lot better than the Service Center up on the hill. It was very peaceful compared to the other building. I cannot express how amazing my car buying process was. Being a first time buyer, I wasn't sure what to expect. Upon arriving we went directly to the welcome center where we were redirected to the Subara delarship next door. We got in touch with Mike Jones who was our Sales Consultant for the day. He was very professional and so helpful with any questions we had. Overall, my parents said it was the quickest buying process they've ever been through and by far the best. I was able to leave with a new car and a wonderful experience. I have recommended to many people Shelor Motor Mile and I hope to have other chances to buy from them again.

The salesperson was great! He was very patient and showed us many vehicles. The only negative about the experience was the length of time it took to do the final paperwork. It may have been because of training a new person but it took so long that the salesman came back to see what was going on.

So they have all this stuff online that should save you time in the dealership. Nope. I got there and the guy I spoke to on the phone handed me off to a saleman. But he didn't hand over all the info we had already talked about or the stuff I had summitted online. So my credit had to be ran again and had to answer all the same questions again. I did all the online stuff because I had limited time to be at the dealership. It didn't help at all.

Stacey was very helpful in getting my vehicle serviced. I have a recurrent problem with my lift gate cylinders and /or electrical that could not be reproduced at the time of service. She advised me to keep a record and so far, I believe the problem happens at lower temperatures, less than 40 degrees.She assisted me to get a loaner cal so I could cover my work in the NRV while my new town & country van was getting 10,000 mile check.

I had previously purchased a RAV4 - had it for two weeks and it just didn't fit with the space I was accustomed to with my van I drove for 15 years. No one was able to fix this irritating problem I had tolerated for months after bodywork other than Shelor. Scott Hall was the only one who knew how to resolve the problem. Brad Wright, Scott Hall, and Chris Ferguson and all of the Shelor Toyota service department are the best. It is always a pleasure to take my vehicle there for service. Our salesmen, Charles was easy to talk to and deal with. He took the time to go over or credit scores and provide insight as to why we would be able to obtain or not obtain financing at an approved APR. He was very knowledge and talked to us like we had known him as though we had purchased a vehicle from him before. The Sales Mgr. Mr. Panell was very nice and apologetic for any time constraints we may have faced while going through the process. Shelor Quick Lube is a great place to have your car serviced, they are very friendly and bring your car back within 1hr. from entering. Clean facility and courteous people. Have serviced my Toyota Avalon there since 2011 -- I also bought the car from Shelor. If you would happen to need air filter or etc. the service person asks before he replaces. Shelor also matches other competitors coupons. Thanks for the excellent service.

My wife took my Corolla in for a routine oil change at 7:30 was told " She was first in line "At 9:30 they started work on the car a pointed out several " sell ups " needed she left the facility at 11:00 with the oil change and state inspection. Entirely to much time for this service work, I know there may be may excuses as to why but I can get the same work done 5 miles from my house in less than 30 minutes, but I like the dealer servicing my vehicles so I drove the 35 mile round trip for this.I would expect better service than I received.I have three(3) Toyota vehicles that you have been servicing , I prefer to do business with you but if this continues I will look elsewhere.

Do your research, know specifically the vehicle trim level and options you are shopping for and know a price range you are willing to pay. They respected my knowledge of the product and pricing. The overall experience at Shelor motor mile was excellent! The staff were friendly, and the facilities were very clean. My sales consultant, Donivan Sledd was extremely helpful! He and his team really went out of there way and worked very hard to get me the best deal possible and in helping me get the right vehicle for me! The entire experience had a very low pressure atmosphere surrounding it unlike many of the other dealerships that I have visited in the past. Very good service at the Quick Lube facility. However, when calling to originally schedule service, my 2 calls were never returned. I finally went to the Quick Lube part of the service center and they were excellent at helping me with the needs for my car. The shuttle service is a wonderful benefit and this was the first time I needed to use this service. Tommy is a great asset to your business!

We recently moved to the country and bought our first car. Corey Harris provided us with a first class purchasing experience and walked us through it all, explaining the financial and mechanical intricacies involved. He was never too busy to talk to us, even during the busy holiday period. He kept a respectful distance in terms of letting us come to our own conclusions about the type of car and service that we eventually purchased - which we really appreciated. I was treated very well and they quickly took care of the warranty work and state inspection and service. They may tell there customers that were will be some odor to the new catalytic converter but I knew that would happen.

I had an emergency where my radiator blew up while driving on I-81 so I brought my car into shelor and honestly thought I was going to be stranded with no car to get back to Alexandria. Brian made sure that wouldnt happen. After diagnosing the problem with my vehicle I was told that my car was at the point of no return. Chris then was extremely helpful in finding the right car for me to buy. After picking up my new vehicle I had remembered that I left some stuff in my old car that I needed to get back. So I called Chris on his cell and let him know that I needed to come back and pick up the rest of my belongings and he said no problem come by at your convenience. Now any dishonest person would have said theres nothing left in the vehicle and kept it but not him. All in all my experience with the guys at Shelor motor mile was beyond excelent! I was disappointed in the time it took to get the work done when it did not seem that it was all that busy. I came in for a state inspection and 70k mile service. The service rep told me it would take about an hour and a half, and it turned out to be 2 1/2 hours. In particular, the rep came to me after an hour and 40 minutes to let me know they needed to replace two bulbs and I'd be ready to go in 10 minutes. I could see that my truck had been completed and pulled into the waiting area, but it took another 25-30 minutes before they let me know I was good to go.I did seem that they were a little under-staffed on that day. If so, it would have been good to let me know it would take longer. I had to change some plans to accommodate the extra time it took to get the service done.But, this is the first time in about 15 years that I've gotten less than stellar service at Shelor.

Voice-activated SYNC is marvelous. We are waiting our leather treatment and installation of running boards and trailer hitch which will make it our ultimate vehicle.

I used the express service bay for a "while you wait" service. The waiting facilities were fine - with internet access. An office area would have been nice for getting work done. It ended up being an oil change, tire rotation and a safety check. All was well. Truck ran so smoothly, I got my first speeding ticket in many years as I cruised down a hill in Highway 8 :-(

Drove a 100 miles to look at a Jeep Liberty, no salespersons were working the outside lot. When I went in someone finally talked to me. I guess if you just want to go buy a vehicle and pay the posted price on the internet this would be for you. No effort was made to really sell me on this and the impression was there it is, take it or leave it. Guess I am used to the old way where customer attention was important and you were at least made to feel like you were getting a deal. Anywhere else has to be better. Shame, I was probably going to buy that vehicle, it was exactly what I was looking for.

I was unexpectedly looking for a new car for college student. I did not plan on shopping at Shelor due to a reputation from long ago that they were not good to work with. I went to a competitor first and was dismayed that they only had two of the cars I was interested in to look at and they would not budge on the price. If they are not willing to budge on price, I can look elsewhere, so off I went to Shelor. There were several options of to choose from, sales consultant Roger Rhoads was fabulous to work with and patient with all of my questions and requests to drive this car and that car, and Shelor was willing to work with me on price. I will also add that at the other place, the salesperson wanted to ride in the back seat with us. At Shelor, we did not have to deal with that. From that experience, I highly recommend Shelor Ford and Roger Rhoads.

Everything started out well when I purchased my used vehicle but when I started having problems with it all I got was sorry but we don't stand behind vehicles with over a100,000 miles like we do our others, apparently all is required is a Va state inspection sticker & its ready to put on the lot, since shelor does inspections that doesn't mean a whole lot, haven't owned my vehicle but 3 months & have already spent close to $1000 in repairs plus found out it is eat up with rust on undercarriage & shelor says not their problem, buyer beware.

I have purchace a new Toyota 4 runner and now a new tundra from shelor in the past 2 years. Sales staff is great. When it comes to the actual puchacing it is the longest process of any. I also puchaced 2 Subaru's in the past 2 years and when it came time to do paperwork and the deal was agreed upon within an hour I was out. I got to shelor at 12:00pm on Thursday and got out at 5:00pm. The other time with the 4 runner I had my family with me and we called aheah had a vehical picked out and we spent from 10am til almost 7pm. They actually sold the vehical before we got there and we sit while the lady that was thinking of purchasing the vehical and they asked us too. Once it was sold we had to negotiate a new deal on a different one. Still in their finance we sit for over 3 hrs. If they didn't carry better pricing and better sales people than l and s toyota in beckley west virginia I probley would look there. Thanks for your time just trying to improve the purchase process at shelor because that's the only thing I can complain about. l and s Toyota in Wv just has a poor staff all around. We've been looking for several months for a new or CPO SUV. Been looking at Hondas, Toyotas, Mazdas, and Subarus. We currently own a 2009 Forester and know how great they are. Our adult son also took it on as his mission to check online with dealers throughout the entire south and mid-Atlantic to find the best deal for us. Our experience was exceptional because inventory was large and Tyler, our salesperson, was very attentive to our needs/wants and what we did not want. He knew the inventory well enough so that he was able to identify an Outback that had not yet been placed on the sales lot but was just off the truck and was being readied for sale. He said this particular vehicle would meet our criteria he thought and asked if he could go to the shop and bring it up for us to see. If it was available, we could test drive it.It was exactly what I wanted. I drove it and my husband and I loved it. The purchase was made and Tyler answered all our questions and accommodated us in every way possible. He helped me put my phone contacts into the car so I could use the Bluetooth while driving. David Hale was very professional and respectful of me as a customer. He ultimately gave me a great price (lower than what he initially quoted for a car that came with fewer accessories) and found the exact model an finish that I was looking for. He never pressured me into buying a more expensive car and presented the options fairly. He made the car buying experience much more pleasant and calmer than I expected. I will recommend him to anyone looking for a Subaru.

I went to shelord yesturday to purchase a vehicle after paying $68 to haul my vehicle there when i spoke with kathy sweeny on phone all week she assure me i was gonna get into a vehicle with at the most $500 down and my trade in that i sent her pictures of the vehicle.she told me to come to the welcome center i get there ask to see her and sbe is busy so they had this one salesman shannon smith from kia to help me. He told me and my gamily to follow him to kia place and drove so quick there condsidering i have never been there before and wasnt familar with shelors but i heard great reviews and wanted to give them a try. We get over there after he already cross the street and parked we didnt know where to park and go. He rushed us inside did not feel welcome from the beginning. He got all my info that i had already given kathy and talked to the finance guy. Then they tell me im gonna need $2000 down plus my 06 nissan maxima trade in and sent to in house finacing. I get there and tell them all my info again she then tells me with trade in and 2000$ down i could get a kia soul or avea basic little cars. I have children needed a suv nothing expensive but i woulf think i could get something i liked instead of being pushed into a car. I never seen or spoke to kathey sweeny after being there all day long. Did not feel welcome from the beginning. I would not recommend this place to anyone. That is the worse experience i had.

Ordinarily I despise the whole process of shopping, negotiating and buying a new car, but Shelor Motor Mile and particularly John Nixon have streamlined the whole process into a rather painless endeavor. I left there with a new vehicle, the third I've bought new from Shelor, at a price that I feel was fair to everyone, and customer service that was first rate.

Tyler was fantastic, he worked very hard to find me a car at a near by dealer, when all those efforts came up empty, we took the next step and ordering a Subaru. Tyler and I exchanged numerous phone calls. With Tyler updating me on the status of the car arrival and was extremely patient when the car arrived and my husband was very ill for a number of weeks. Tyler was always very pleasant and understanding, he also listened to my desires for my car and covered it well. Many thanks to a very kind and informed young man.
