My appointment (made nearly two weeks earlier) was not recorded. My preordered (by the dealer) part was "questioned." The repair took nearly five hours, even though two weeks earlier I was told "hour or hour and half." At end, I was told, "You'll get your car in 15 minutes after the attendant test drive and washes it." I got it, but it was not washed.This dealership is not the dealership that prompted me to buy from them. For the last 3 or 4 years, service has gone down hill. I will be in the market for a new car by fall of 2016. In the past, I was certain to buy again from them. Now, I will shop around.

I bought a certified preowned 2013 CRV from this sub urban Honda Farmington hills dealership., both of sales representatives - Joey demelio and Andrew Keller were so rude, arrogant and non polite ., I had a very worst response and did not get clarify for any of queries, during my purchase ..Initially I thought I had a very good deal but later on realized it's a crap deal and this certified vehicle is not trust worthy.. Once I bought the vehicle, while looking on service record got shocked by looking on front brake pads showing 6mm which is half way worn out(supposed to get it replaced) the new brake pads should be 11 mm and lot of paint scratches noticed later when I kept it on my garage. When I talked to Karl and Joey did not get proper response and they said they would replace when the brake pads are 5mm.. The brakepads for the vehicle from this dealer ship is 6mm.. Though , I did fully paid off without financing/loan did not get any freebies like other dealerships ., to be frank, nothing I got it from this dealership (not even a single key chain) except the horrible experience with those two sales representatives (Joey and Andrew)., on the whole I am not happy with my purchase.. If I got a chance/eligible to return this crap certified vehicle i would go ahead and do it., I would not recommend to any of my friends/relatives/colleagues to this untrustworthy - suburban Honda Farmingtonhills dealership ., I am writing this review with total frustration on my personal experience with this dealership. I bought this untrust worthy vehicle (certified) only on 15th June 2016 from this dealership.. This suburban Honda Farmington hills dealership (not complaining on all Honda dealerships) squeeze consumers money and their certified vehicle needs an inspection from outside mechanics to check the vehicle's reliability.

My car is still being checked for the oil consumption recall so I cannot speak to a repair yet. There are still 2 outstanding recall issues that cannot be repaired yet but that is not the fault of Suburban but Honda Corp. Another recall issue was repaired. Service was great as always.

As I had found a vehicle I LOVED at this dealership, it was hard to not turn away my business. I had one of the worst experiences working with Joey, only a few days prior. He was unhelpful in finding the vehicle of my desires, I had to conduct all of the research on my own, with no help. When I found the one I wanted, I was PUSHED into a financing offer with a credit union of their choosing and not of mine, even after specifying exactly who I wanted to be financed through. When Joey came back with the financing offer, from a different credit union (after being VERY clear that I wanted to work through MY credit union and not another), he took me to the finance manager, who again, pushed me into financing with the other credit union. *And I know how these things work, they earn more money when they sign new customers up with new credit unions; So I extremely unhappy* I was also told that there is a credit union location through the new union near me, which there is not. Do not use this dealership, unless you found the absolute vehicle of your dreams.

As always, the service was great. I went in for an oil change and tire rotation. I was in and out in about 45 minutes. They told me I needed an air filter and wiper blades which I had them change. They also told me I would need tires next year. The prices are fair and I think you get a better result taking the car to the dealership for routine maintenance than going to a quick oil change place.

I was having my oil changed when an inspection of the brake linings showed that I needed new ones.The dealer was able to work me into his work flow and also perform a back flush of the anti-lock brake system. Also, an electrical module involved in a recall was replaced. Fair price, work completed the same day. Repairs are working well.

I bought my car from this dealer and get my oil changes done here as well. Overall good experience, professional staff. This is not a complain but a suggestion, I was there for an oil change the other day, I got there at 7am that's when they open. Even though they open at 7am the techs don't get there till 7:30am that's what I was told, so it was an extra half hour which I did not plan for. But they do a good job and are reasonable with the time. Thanks.

We were trying to look for a better deal so we decided to give Suburban Honda a try. We spoke with an agent named Mike Siwicki who was nice and helpful. However, while trying to work out a deal, he needed his manager for approval. The manager named Raj Pillai was more interested in criticizing us than making a deal. He was rude, nasty, and arrogant. He was completely unprofessional in his tone and demeanor. I was completely surprised that a manager whose job was to ensure customer satisfaction acted in such a manner. My expectations of a manager were surely not met. Out of all the managers I've interacted with from the Honda dealerships, he was the only one that was not accommodating. I would like to say thanks to Mike for trying his best to help us out.

Have never had to bring it back after a repair. Always done right the first time. Only once, did I take this van back to the dealer (not a Honda dealer) I bought it from for an oil change. Never again. It took 3 hours to change the oil. Yes, seriously! It took less than that to put new rear brakes on it here. Everyone in the service department always goes beyond what you would expect. Even the Ladies where you pay your bill.

After a very disappointing experience at a different location I was hesitate to give the Suburban group another chance. I called and spoke to an internet rep named Eileen, she was so apologetic and caring, I decided it was worth a shot. She assured me that the sales rep she placed me with was great. From the moment I met John Butler I knew her promises were not going to let me down. John was very professional and listened to all of my concerns. He addressed each concern with excellence and I drove away in a great vehicle that I love. I couldn't be happier :) I am so happy that Eileen's expertise and confidence in her team convinced me to give this location a chance. He also really works with you so when you walk out, you feel good! What I really like best about this dealership is once your out the door, they do not forget you. I have gone back a couple of times and each time John treats me the same. Not like some dealerships, when you walk out you really never see that sales guy again. I purchased my 2006 Honda Pilot used from Suburban a little under a year ago. The Sales guy wouldn't negotiate with me which took all the fun out of buying the car but that was the worse I have experienced with this family of companies. I live less that a mile from Lafontaine Honda and will never go there again now that I have found Suburban. The Suburban team is fantastic, accommodating, and just flat out awesome, I don't even have words to explain how much they have done to ensure my server experience with them has been positive. I trust them implicitly and will always take my truck to Honda Suburban for all of my service needs.

I have always gone to this dealer for service to my Honda Accord. They diagnose the problem and then recommend appropriate parts, when possible. They always are very polite and have kept their promise all the time. I have previously tried 2 other dealers for this and other cars. The folks at Suburban Honda Farmington Hills had always been friendly, polite, and professional in their service. I have got to interact with couple of folks and they had always been considerate in explaining and taking the time to understand your request and not rush you through. I have done all my service for my honda crv here after I bought it 3 yrs back, Marvin at the sales side had been one of the wonderful sales man, compared to the other show rooms where the sales person would just try to shovel up their numbers through your throat. I recently had been there for test driving an another vehicle, even when I finally went with something else (another brand) our conversation closed on a friendly note, whereas in other showrooms I have seen how quickly their behavior would change when they learn you are not a potential customer anymore.

I had stopped at a gas station and noticed that a light was on on my dashboard. I had never seen this light before, and did not know what it was telling me. As I walked out of the station store, I noticed a man walking in who had the Suburban symbol on his jacket. I asked him if he worked at Suburban, and he said yes - he was an assistant service manager (Joe Kinast). I asked him if he would mind telling me what the light was. He was very willing to help. Not only did he look at the light, but when it turned out to be the tire pressure, he went to his vehicle and returned with a tire gauge. He checked all four tires (of course the culprit was the last one!) and even found the nail. I immediately went up to the dealership and was promptly taken care of. I had plans to meet a friend before it would be fixed, so they made arrangements to leave the vehicle outside when it was finished and allowed me to take care of payment, since the dealership would be closed when I came back. Bob in the service department always takes good care of me. I was spared waking up in the morning and finding a flat tire when I went to leave for work. Thanks Suburban for the excellent customer service.

I can not believe they have a sales person like this working for them. The guy started to get borderline harassing. I appreciate him calling me back right away after an inquiry about a vehicle they had. I told him when I might be in but couldn't say for sure what time. I just gave him two days I might be able to make it. He called me one night to see if I was coming in. Called me the next morning and also texted me. Emailed me twice as well. When I finally got there, he was not all that friendly from the get go. He wasn't rude, just not a personable guy. Upon looking at the car, I noticed some things were broken and I brought these to his attention. He told me "well what do you expect from a car that old?" I thought the point of buying from a dealer was so that obvious things that need attention would be fixed, and that's why you tend to pay more from them because they take the time to fix these things before selling them. I also researched the value of the car through several reputable places. At best the sticker price was $2000 over what it should have been. And at worse, $3000 over what it is worth. And these prices are for a car that is in perfect condition. Upon revealing this to him to start a bargaining point, he immediately got very argumentative with me and told me how he could get that sticker price at an auction. So, I told him to take it to one and I walked out. Not a professional salesman at all, and apparently not one who wanted to make a sale. Definitely would not go to this dealer again.

I contacted Suburban Honda to check out a couple of used cars I saw on their website that I was thinking of purchasing. The first thing that bothered me was when I came in to ask for the person who I had spoken with on the phone, I was immediately turned over to a different sales person. The particular person I dealt with would leave his desk for long periods of time, leaving us waiting, and his manner was HORRIBLE. He was your typical shady type salesman, the type I DONT deal with. Due to his demeaner, mannerisms, insinuations (regarding the condition of my vehicle for trade-in), and tone, I chose to never deal with this dealership again. I had been told previously that they had a bad reputation, but gave them the benefit of the doubt first. I now agree.

Suburban Honda has been servicing my Honda Odyssey for the last 13 years. This dealership fixes things right the first time. Julie Danielson is my go- to person. Half the time, she is able to answer my questions over the phone. While she has been forthright in explaining that she cannot provide a diagnosis over the phone, after numerous calls over the years, I gotta say that Julie has never been wrong. I go to Will when Julie is not there. He does not have the same experience that Julie has, but he never hesitates to get back with me with the information that I need. I routinely check Julie's and the attending mechanic's advice, by going to other service centers (usually to look for a better price) and I can confirm that Julie and Suburban Honda have always been straight with me. I have been feeling pressure to buy American, but I have been hesitant because this dealership treats me so well. From free rides to work during service, to doughnuts and coffee, to free WiFi, I am always made to feel comfortable.

At 54, I am glad I finally bought a Honda. I not only love my 2011 Pilot (bought new) but I love the Service Department at Suburban Honda too. Since I live in the Detroit area I know many think I am a traitor but I also own a GM Equinox SUV (2012) a GM Cobalt (2008) and Ford Focus (2010). All are pretty good but the Honda is truly GREAT. So is the dealership. I only go for oil changes and scheduled maintenance but they never seem busy (a good sign). I get in, get it done, have a cup of coffee and a muffin, and am done. All at a fair price. I will buy another Pilot unless they stop making them.

The service was excellent. My only complaint is with Honda and the tires they supplied with the vehicle. I have a 36 month lease and 30 thousand mile tire life. The purpose of a lease is to not have to put tires, brakes, exhaust etc. on the vehicle before turning it in on another vehicle.

I was immediately greeted by a maintenance staff person and I was asked why I came in for service. The detailed maintenace that would be performed on my vehicle was explained and I was told I would receive a call if there was any additional work that needed to be performed because I went to have breakfast while my car was being worked on. In the middle of breakfast, I received a called that my car was ready and no additional work was needed. I couldn't believe the work was done so quickly. When I arrived, my car had been washed and the paperwork was ready for me to pay the cashier. Another great experience at the service department at Honda.

My service experience was easy from the very beginning. I called and made an appointment and took my Accord in the next morning, everything checked out fine and we just scheduled an oil change. In looking over the car they discovered the cabin air filter could use replacement. They came to me with the filter so I could examine it and asked if I would like it changed, giving me the choice and no hidden costs later on.

The people I come in contact with are always very courteous and helpful. It seems that this one of the rare businesses that project the reason they come to work: to serve the customer. The prices are fair. When I am ready to purchase another car, it will be from them. I love going to my dealership!

Complete resolution required two visits but after review of the problem it was completely understandable. My transmission malfunction was a two fold problem source. Bob MacKenzie's attentiveness on both visits was appreciated and assisted in getting the problem resolved as fast as possible. I cannot express how grateful I am to Bob in facilitating an alternate source of transportation for both over night service visits. I shall just say that Bob MacKenzie's involvement in this situation reaffirmed that Suburban Honda is the right place for servicing and buying my next Honda. I can honestly say I have never had a bad experience at Suburban Honda since my first visit in 2004.
