Tim Walsh our sales rep was absolutely amazing. His service throughout the process (we ordered our car and had it built from scratch) of the purchase was above and beyond any service I have received from any dealer I have ever delt with. This is our 3rd Ford we have purchased new in the last 10 years. the last one in 2010 was from Suntrup Westport where we had a good experience. This is why we stuck with the Suntrup family of dealerships; however we will continue to purchase future vehicles from the Kirkwood location because Tim's customer service was so acceptional. I have been in customer service, sales and management for 10 plus years and would hire Tim in a heartbeat if given the chance. As far as everyone else we dealt with (front desk and the young ladies that responded to my inquiry initially),everyone was very friendly. We bought our first Ford here. It's only a week old so I cannot comment on the service department yet but the buying process was good. Tim Walsh was our salesman and he is extremely helpful in answering our questions and explaining all the new technology in the car. He also has made himself available for any help I will need in the future. The finance process was quick and easy also

I wouldnt buy a car anywhere else. This is the 3rd car we've bought there. Service is excellent and so is the selection of cars. My sales guy Timothy Walsh figures out the best deals, he is really honest and not pushy at all. My whole family uses him. And the finance guy is really nice. Found us the best rates. If I could give 10 stars I would.

Wednesday September 14 I took my 2015 ford F 150 (35,200 miles) to service on Suntrup ford.The differential on my pick up was leaking, left the pick up at 9:00 with Chad signed the papers that they ask you to signed and I ask for a call once they start working on the truck and determine if this is a Manufactures defect or If I was going to pay for this. 12:00 pm no call... after lunch 1:00 pm I make the call and ask for a update, chad answers and says, yes this is a Manufactures defect I will call you once its ready.. I said OK at what time do you close he says 6:00 pm, ok thanks bye,5:30 pm nobody calls my I'm at the rental car place leaving the car and call ford asking if my car was ready, Chad already left for the day at 3:00 pm and nobody could give me a straight answer at first they said "you will need to come back tomorrow morning" And I said no.... I need a answer from someone in the service department, until they transfer me to Michael in service he said im sorry for this issue and that nobody call you before your car is ready we just don't have the paper work ready I ask can I go and pick up my truck he said yes no problem rental car place people takes me to suntrup ford I get the truck Michael again says he is sorry and asked a coworker to get my truck i go outside to the truck coworker steps out of my car I ask for the paper work she says we will e-mail it to you... I was ok sure its 5:55 I understand today is September 17 still nothing from them that they did this service to my truck.Theirs s no option of uploading picture but I wish you did had that option it looks like a rookie put that silicon gasket on. My complains are:1.-Cant believe Ford doesn't loan cars when you leave your truck for service and in this case was because of a MANUFACTURE'S DEFECT and a common one if you look it up on line. 2.- Person in service did not follow up (Chad) at least twice with me.3.- Nobody else new about my truck was ready and someone needed to call me4.- No documentation about this repair. Still waiting for that e-mail5.- The over all repair is not at a great level what they did works but really guys....

I never have had more screw ups from a truck thru a dealer i 30 years. All they were concerned about was how much money they were going to make. We purchased on a Friday night and Chad was suppose to call me about Thebes liner and dings that were supposed to be repaired. Guess what had to call numerous times (he doesn't return phone calls) I had to bring the 2014 truck in and they let me use a 2010 Taurus ( which really was not a problem) however a 1 day job turned into a week. Went to pick up and still was not done. Chad said he would arrange to have the guy come to house to repair. Guess what Chad again never called . So 3 days later I had to call again . So this time he said he arranged then the guy did not show- he said some miscommunication again they can't get there story straight. During all this tried to get my plates. Well again we have an issue the emmision test expired in March,. So there resolution go get the emmision test and will pay for it. Really I should spend anther couple of hours for them not doing their job also they mentioned nothing about paying late fees . At this time I am speaking with someone getting all facts lined out. As far as their GM I think he should be fired

I pre-ordered a Ford Focus RS in February, knowing that I'd be waiting until summer for it to get here from Germany. My salesperson Kevin was great to work with, and kept me updated regularly any time new info was available about the vehicle delivery date. He even communicated with my after hours on his own time when I was working late and had questions. Kevin was very professional, but also friendly and easy to work with. Normally, car buying is not my favorite activity, but Kevin's down-to-earth personality and friendly mannerism made it a pleasure. He even texted photos of the car when it did arrive and walked me through setup of the cars sync system. Of course the Focus RS is also a blast to drive which has made the whole experience even better.

I thought trying to buy a car from Suntrup in Kirkwood would be a challenge since I do not live in Missouri. However, due to Salesman Timothy Walsh, the experience turned out to be a very pleasant one. Tim went to extra efforts to locate the color, style, etc. that I wanted. The paperwork was handled flawlessly and I ended up with a 2017 Escape in the right color and with the extras that I wanted. He returned my calls promptly and was always courteous and professional.

Suntrup was good to deal with in 2001 and as we found out last Friday, it is a Ford dealer that we can trust to give us excellent service in 2016 because of the efforts of Timothy Walsh in supplying a vehicle that more than met our needs with no hassle and a calm, expert manner of presenting all the facts of the deal to us as well as answering our many questions in a friendly and expert way which was much appreciated. We were ready to buy a new car went to two other dealerships in St Charles County thought it was a go on Friday night then on Saturday went to pick it up & the price had changed overnight the finance person was not very people friendly ended up walking out. Kevin is a outstanding salesmen. He has gone above and beyond what anyone could ask. He sold me a great truck at a great price and help get me the other things like a camper shell, rubber mates and bed liner at a better price then I would have been able to do on my own. He has dropped my truck off for me at home once all the stuff was done. Kevin is the bench mark for all the other sales people to shot for. Thanks Kevin keep up the good work.

I use 2 trucks in my business, so when it came time to replace my oldest truck, I decided to buy a Ford. Because I do a lot of heavy hauling, I selected the F-250 with the 6.7 diesel and 4WD. This was the largest purchase I have ever made for my business. Because I needed a truck with specific options, I could not find it locally, so I ordered it from the factory. While initiating the order, I was told it would take 6-8 weeks for it to be delivered. I had a chance to sell my oldest truck 6 weeks after ordering my new truck, so I sold it. I finally picked up my new truck after 16 weeks (12/11/15 - 4/1/16) when I was having difficulty and additional cost running my business. The employees at the dealership were not sympathetic to my issues and also claimed that they did not say it would take 6-8 weeks to get my truck from the factory. While I was waiting for my new truck, the dealership sent out an email saying that I could receive a 5 year/100,000 mile powertrain extended warranty and a free bedliner. When I asked about the promotion, which did not state any restrictions, I was told it was only for F-150 trucks. The dealership would not budge on giving me either item even after all the issues I was having with this purchase. There were other issues during the sales process, but the final insult was having to return to the dealership a 2nd time because the paperwork for the title was not complete. This was the worst experience I have ever had buying something significant.

I was referred to a specific salesman (Timothy Walsh) and spoke with him on the phone on a Friday and told him that I would be in on Monday. Tim listened to what I wanted and then went over and beyond and out of his way to a car waiting for me on Monday morning (Memorial Day). My husband and I test drove the car and decided to buy it. Tim was very knowledgeable of the financing as he handled in the absence of the financial person. Everything was completed from viewing the car to driving away in it in about 2 hours.

The dealership was able to accommodate our request on the amount we wanted to get for our trade - in. They also were able to change rims on the car and get the ones I wanted put on right at the dealership. It took a bit of time to get the car cleaned up and we ended up cutting the cleaning process short because we were short on time. Other than that, the salesmen explained everything to us that we needed to know.

I got a great price on the car with a very helpful team of employees. Everyone was very patient and friendly and kept my first car buyin experience a good one. Only down side was to get the price I wanted I had to go through Fords financing and not bring in my own loan with a significantly lower APR which causes the monthly payment to be much much higher.

Bought car as is..... As soon as I drove it off the lot the check engine light came on. 400.00 later it is fixed. They state that with the as is they would do the emissions and inspection. Went to the license office to get it legal and the emissions and inspection exp in January. Bought in March so that was never done. You call up there to talk to someone and they all beat around the bush. They say all the things that you want to hear until you drive off that lot then want nothing to do with you. NEVER AGAIN KEVIN LUPO!!!!

In sort of an impulse, decided to check out what Suntrup had on the lot in terms of a 2015 Edge Sport. Went in, test drove, left without any theatrics (which sometimes are part of the sales process), returned with a price I was willing to pay based on research, and the price was essentially met. If it weren't for the fact that they were insistent on detailing my new Edge so nicely, I'd have been done with the whole process in less than two hours. A good dealership for an educated customer.

Had a fantastic experience with Tim! He was very patient with my husband and I being first time buyers. He did a great job showing us around the lot and helping us pick out a reliable car. What I liked most about Tim, was he was very humble and honest. You could just tell, that he was a genuine guy! Tim Walsh was my sales rep. I had do some checking using true car. He suggested I look at an XLT instead of the XL I had spec'd on True Car. I believe his suggestion was honest and valuble. After a terrible experience at Dave Sinclair Ford in South County, I decided to look for a new dealership to work on my mechanical failure-prone certified pre-owned 2014 Ford Fiesta (side note: don't buy one. They're terrible.) By some stroke of luck I was checked in by Service Manager Collette, who listened to the issues I was having and even added some recall work onto my service appointment. I found out that Sinclair had failed to reinstall multiple components after my previous service, Suntrup reinstalled and checked everything out free of charge (even though it almost definitely wasn't covered under my warranty). Unfortunately, I did have to go back the following week because the issue I was having (caused by faulty repairs at the other dealership) wasn't completely repaired. They were apologetic, even sending a tech to drive with me so he could experience the problem with me in the car. The car is fixed now and I am a happy customer. I will certainly be back for future service and, if I can ever get over what a junky car this Fiesta is, might even consider purchasing my next car from Suntrup.

I started looking for a simple farm work truck for my farm and wasn't interested in a new one. My wife dragged me to Ford Kirkwood because she was tired of my 38 years of old, beat up second hand F150's which I was very happy with. At the dealership we met Chad our sales rep, he had a serious what can I do help you and never gave any unnecessary pleasure. We finally found a crew cab, 4x4 truck that was loaded with discounts and within a couple hours we were driving off with one of the finest trucks I have ever had. I should have listened to my wife 20 years ago. This was the best truck and deal ever. Chad - Thanks.

Wanted a Fusion Hybrid and was able to purchase the car I wanted. Staff was friendly. A little discouraging to see not busy sales people playing on their phones and to see employees smoking outside the dealership , I think the smoking could be done around back so nobody has to see it. Timothy Walsh was her salesman and after some negotiating we were able to come up with an agreeable deal. I wasn't familiar with this dealership but recommend both Timothy and this dealership.

After my car was totaled in an accident, I was looking for a new Ford Fiesta or Focus. I had a savings certificate provided by my insurance company which Suntrup honored even though the specific vehicle it applied to was not in stock. They applied the certificate to a similar vehicle, with even better options and helped me arrange a very satisfactory finance deal with Ford Credit for the remainder of the sales price. My salesperson Kevin was friendly, helpful and very professional--without any high-pressure tactics which I appreciated very much. The business manager, Dave, was also very courteous and helpful. I was in an out of there in less than 90 minutes, and drove my new car home that afternoon. Outstanding!

Buying a vehicle is somewhat nerve-wracking; however, not at this dealership. I was so impressed earlier in the year when I bought a Ford F150 that I went back again to purchase a vehicle for my wife. We were called to say we had won a tv from an entry mass a couple of months earlier when we were there to look at cars and frankly, enter thedrawings. Tim show us a new car, told us how much they would give us on trade in but did not really pressure us too much when we declined. They were very generous on their trade in order which is important when considering where to go when we do decide to buy. Overall very pleased.

From the moment I walked into the dealership I was greeted with firm handshakes and friendly smiles. Tim Walsh was the first friendly face I seen and I couldn't have been happier to have Tim as my sales person. He asked what I wanted, What I expected in a car. Asked what color I likes and if I was interested in a certain vehicle. I explained that I did drive a Ford Explorer at another dealership, I liked it but when I was asked to wait for the salesman while he talked with another client then tried to talk me into buying a vehicle that I didn't want for several reasons....he didn't even offer to solve the things I didn't like. I left and my daughter talked me into going to Suntrup. Tim listen to me (He was glad I liked the Ford Explorer.) I told him I needed a lumbar seat, an electric seat. Didn't matter if it had cloth or leather. He showed me a 2016 Explorer. The color was Fire Red. Had all the things I wanted. He drove me around and let me drive a little. He put my phone numbers in the car for me. Washed the car...made sure it was clean and the Fire Red was gleaming. I was sold and happy in just a matter of 30 minutes. The paperwork was completed in a timely fashion and I even got a hug with my handshake at the end. What a great guy and an asset to Suntrup. A perfect gentleman who took the fear out of buying my very first car on my own. I'm trying to tell all my friends about this dealership and my guy Tim.

I did an internet search & was contacted immediately by the customer service rep asking if I'd like to make an appointment for a test drive. When I arrived at the dealership, I spoke to Chad Morber. I was interested in the Ford Focus and Chad was kind enough and extremely patient as I asked the differences between all the trim levels. After he explained all the pro's and con;s, I decided on the Titanium. I've only had it a week, but I can tell that it is as advertised. I absolutely love it. Many compliments.This has been a great experience and a learning one too. Don't be quick to judge the auto sales representative. wouldn't even allow me to look at a car until they did a "soft" tap credit check. And they tried to tell me that it didn't hurt my credit. I know it hurts my credit and the snide guy who wasn't even working with us needs to get off his Facebook at work. Total bummer because I had a car I wanted to look at but I don't want to let them do the credit tap until I actually LOOK at the car.

When I am looking to buy a new vehicle I want the entire experience to be fair and quick. I just bought my third vehicle from them in the past 3.5 years and couldn't be happier with all three experiences. Even though they don't appear to be a big volume dealer their prices always seem to beat the competitors. I always do my homework before arriving and I have yet to run into a situation where we cannot agree on a price. Tim Walsh was my salesperson for the past two deals and I would work with him again. No pressure and was able to make things happen quickly. I would recommend the dealership and Tim for anyone looking for a new Ford.

In searching for the right truck with the options that I wanted I found the selection at Suntrup Ford Kirkwood to have the best! I looked for several weeks to find what I was looking for & found myself going back to their website. I bought my last truck, 2006 F150 FX4 here for the same reason. Beyond the fact that they have a great selection of trucks, the service, no haggle, no pushy sales people, but down to earth people behind the front door made my buying experience good. Kirk Lata, TimWalsh & Dave Gibson made my purchase easy and they where concerned that this all went well. I had an issue with wheel alignment after getting it on the highway. I took it in the next day, Saturday, and they put it in the shop to correct the problem. Less than an hour later they had the issue resolved and me back on the road on my day off to enjoy my new Ford! I would recommend Suntrup Ford Kirwood to anyone looking for a new or used vehicle.

So i had heard from other dealers that Suntrup Ford in Kirkwood was false advertising on there online prices, so i was a bit skeptical going in. Let me tell you that changed in minute when Chad Morber greeted me at the door. He was very eager to getTNme on a test drive on a 2015 Ford Escape, needless to say i fell in love. Chad was very knowledgeable about his product. I was planning on going to a dodge dealer after the test drive but that didnt happen. They were spot on with there online pricing. Out of town and car wouldn't start. Have great relationship with local Ford dealer at home so figured taking it to any Ford dealer would be the same not true. Suntrup's pricing and pricing practices are excessive. They are double what are listed on this site as average repair cost. The cost of living in St Louis can't be that much different than other mid west cities.

I purchased a 2006 Toyota Solara on Friday December 17 on Friday January 2 it was towed at my expense back to the dealership . The work needed was expensive but was covered by the warranty . My issue is that a reputable business that is above board and sells a used vehicle that breaks down within 3 weeks of being driven off the lot just out of fairness to the customer should have paid my warranty deductible of $100 this is a large dealership so $100 is not to much to ask considering I only had this car in my possession for 3 weeks . This is about good customer service which they claim to have, I have not experienced this with this dealership.

I recently purchased a 2014 Ford Fusion from this dealership. I am a college student so my concern was price as to what I could afford. The employee helped me determine what I was looking for in a vehicle, the price range I could afford, and only showed me those vehicles. I was really happy as other dealerships have tried to "up-sell" me into a vehicle I could not afford. I was so impressed with how patient the employee was with me when I was looking at my options. Upon deciding on my vehicle, he showed me all of the features and how to use them. I thoroughly enjoyed my shopping experience at this dealership and I would highly recommend it as well as my sales person.

I stopped in at the dealship and was met buy a salesman named Dave and told him I was just looking around for a small car that would give me good gas milage. He showed me several cars and I told him if I deceided to buy one I had a trade in. He looked at my car and got some information and gave me his card. I called him two days later and came back to the dealship. We started talking about price and what I was able to afford. Then he talked to a Mr. Latta and they gave me a great trade in and got me into a small car that I love. There was no pressure and they were very friendly and I would and have to say I will not buy a car from any other dealership. This is the second car I bought from Suntrup and Kevin Lupo. I love my 2011 Toyota Corolla with only 9K miles. I couldn't believe that I found a great car for a great price and low miles!! I shopped around a couple dealers in the St Louis Area, and met Chad on the lot. I actually had their price beat by $300 but he had made a suggestion to me on which rear end I needed for pulling my camper and got me the right truck so I thought it was worth more than the cash difference to do business here. So I bought a used Ford Escape from here, and for the most part been very happy with it. Well, then I went to have my tires rotated by a shop closer to my house, they told me I have locking lug nuts on each wheel, and that I would need a special key to remove them. I searched the car high and low to no avail. I called Suntrup, they told me to bring it in and they could order a new key. As it turned out the locking lug nuts were an after market product, and Ford was unable to get a matching key. I was told by a member of the service department that they can be removed and replaced with regular lug nuts, he said it could take some time, and I would be charged for the labor. I asked to speak with my salesman Kevin Lupo, who was absolutely no help. He told me that it had been too long since the purchase ie over six months. He claimed that he spoke with the GM, and they agreed that I waited too long in addressing this issue. To top it all off, as Kevin and I were walking out of the car bay of the service department, I slipped and fell on an oil puddle. He not only didn't offer to help me up, he didn't even acknowledge it... what a gentleman. So in conclusion you have lost my respect as well as my patronage, all because your staff was too lazy to step up and do the right thing.

Early March, 2014, my wife and I were at Kirkwood Suntrup Ford making a cash deal on a 2014 Mustang convertible. Our salesman, Cal, was handling this transaction. We couldn't agree on the cash price. We dickered for days. By the end of the week, we remembered Cal mentioned a $750 incentive by financing through Ford. We called Cal to verify and he confirmed it. Then we talked to financing to be sure there were no penalties or points to pay for prepayments. Seemed fine and we scheduled our test drive the next morning. The car had been the last car in the showroom and we didn't want to drag it out if we couldn't come to terms. Next morning we drove the car and decided to buy. My wife even bought 2 new Mustang hats for riding in the convertible. During the last signing of paperwork in financing we realized the price did not change to reflect the $750 incentive. Cal was called in to the office and when confronted with this he claimed that he thought there was a $500 0r $700 incentive, not even the $750 he was so sure of when he talked to us. We could hear Kirk, the manager, yelling at Cal in his office. We realized this was a no go and I said this was a deal breaker and went out to my vehicle to wait for my wife, who was returning the new hats. Kirk came out to talk and said he didn't want to lose the deal. He offered some options but not the $750. I informed him that we were upset and no deal would be made that day. Meanwhile my wife was out of sight returning the hats when she heard screaming and cussing coming from the meeting room. Kirk had his salesmen in the room and was really going at it with the group. That's when my wife heard Cal deny saying anything about an incentive. She went into the room and confronted Cal, saying he was a liar. The room went silent and my wife came out extremely angry. We left but called the dealership to get corporate's phone number. They told us they didn't have the number and couldn't get it. Unbelievable ! We will never do business with Suntrup Ford again. Beware !

I came in looking to buy a specific vehicle: the 2014 fiesta SE hatch.Tom worked with me and with his management/finance team to accommodate my needs in every way. I needed to pay $500 or less down and less than $234/mo, which was what sunset ford offered me for a fiesta SE sedan. Everything else was identical. the deal I got at Suntrup was better on every single point. Tom even got me zero down and I was out the door the same afternoon.

I was hesitant to go to Suntrup because of some of the reviews. But I chanced it anyway to see a Focus they had listed for considerably cheaper than anywhere else. I'm glad I did - I bought it. I rarely write reviews, but I feel like this place may be getting an undue bad rap. Suntrup went above and beyond to make me happy. There was some price haggling, but that was to be expected from any car purchase. I love my car. I really love the price. Don't write this place off based on reviews. The place actually caught on fire while we were there so we ended up being there most of the day to close the deal. We spent this time hanging in the parking lot with the people who work there because we were all evacuated. These are real people, nice folks. Go in, meet them, and make your own decision. Don't write them off based on reviews.

This place was very unhelpful. They will not let you have the car checked by anywhere other than their mechanics and seem to be hiding true car history. Would not bother going there.

With winter right around the corner I was in major need of a new car! I did not think I would be able to get a car that day, with my given circumstances. Kirk Latta and Kim Massey were a huge help and they did everything in their power to make it happen. The process was quick and painless. My engine of my Honda gave out and I had to get a car very quickly. Kim was helpful, knowledgeable, and helped me get in and out quickly (less than two and a half hours till I was driving away with my new car). He also helped me sync my phone to the Microsoft sync services so it was a painless process. I love my new car and I would highly recommend Kim and Kirkwood Ford!

Met Dave Gibson--nice guy, easy to be with. Selected a car; agreed to a price--they had to go get the exact vehicle (40 miles away). Was paying cash. That evening, I went to Ford.com to look at the vehicle again--and the website offers a: Let us build this car for you and get you prices in your location--function. So, for fun, I filled it out--exactly as the vehicle I was purchasing.The next morning: two other local dealerships have the vehicle $3500 LESS than the price at Suntrup. I called Dave Gibson and also emailed him those offers. I asked what we might do about this situation.The next call I received was from Kirk Latta--who identified himself as the sales manager. He was a LOUD AND ARROGANT BULLY. He claimed that:1. I was not comparing same cars2. That they had to go get the car 40 miles away3. and the best: "Just what do you want to pay for this car?"I suggested that $3500 was a costly delivery fee and that dealers swap cars often. His LOUD reply: "I have been in the car business for over thirty years. Are you saying you know how our business works Mrs. ___???"He then went on to say that the cars could not be similar. I assured him I was excellent with numbers. He said I did not know what I was talking about.I told him that I did not like the tone of his voice. He said:"so what do you want to pay for this car?". (Is this 1960 or what?).I told him I wanted to pay nothing for the vehicle as I would not do business with a man who spoke to me that way. His reply: "Let me tell you-- I will not sell you this car!".Besides the fact that WOMEN make more than 70% of car purchases these days, this BULLY never refunded my $2500 on my American Express. It took twenty days to get that reinstated, and only after I filed a complaint with American Express and called the dealership twice.AN ORGANIZATION THAT EMPLOYS A BULLY is doing a huge disservice to their entire staff. Dave Gibson is a nice guy. His boss either needs to be put out to pasture or take some anger management training. This is 2013. It reflects on the entire organization. Sad, but I have told at least ten local folks of this experience. Mr. Latta, was it really worth it to behave that way? You tarnished Mr. Suntrup and assured that my Glendale and Kirkwood and Webster friends will never visit this dealership--and we all pay cash.The next day I purchased a Toyota RAV4. The customer service and pricing discussions were cordial, efficient and took less than 30 minutes.

Man on the phone was black and white (did not expand on anything when asked and didn't sound interested selling to someone who was out of state. When asked if the price was negotiable he was like, "we can only go down 500." and left it at that. Did not explain anything and didn't want to take the time to talk. Even if I was across the street I wouldn't buy from them. There are a lot used cars out there, they better learn that customer service is what sells vehicles.

2 things 1) We bought a car from them 2011 used SUV we were promised by the salesman the car interior would be cleaned the tires would have correct tire pressure to get the signal to turn off and that a scratch on the bumper would be fixed . We were also told we would receive a check for all referrals we sent that bought a car too. 2) After we sign the papers we are taken to the car which still has the scratch, the error code in the dash and the car is still dirty inside it had not been detailed or fixed as promised we were reassured it would be fixed and taken care of, and told to bring it back and it would be fixed, we rearrange our schedules to bring it down and basically the only difference when we picked it up was that it looked like someone put whiteout into the scratch its a deep scratch so obviously it was not fixed as promised, which was highly disappointing to me , I referred a friend to them shortly before we knew how things really are there and she bought a car from them on m recommendation that was a month ago and still no check for the referral/sale. we even called and asked about the situation and was assured everything will be taken care of including our referral check. Lesson learned I will not give them any more referrals (which I still have 2 other friends looking for cars) unlike some people my word means something . Make sure you get any promises in writing apparently a handshake and their word isn't good enough.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!!!!!!!! Bought a car last year that didn't pass a safety inspection so I took it back and left it there for them to fix. I was called a couple of days later and was told that they fixed it up for me and they even reinspected and pass it free of charge. I had the car inspected this year and it has the same problem that they fixed last year. Turns out they never fixed it just printed out a passing safety inspection. I believe that is fraud. I called the sales guy Kevin Lupo after they told my son they wouldn't fix the car and he hung up on me. There excuse it their service guy didn't find anything wrong. I think they should of told me that when I picked it up last year but I was told that they fixed it up which means to me that they fixed the problem. Magically this year it has the same problem and they want us to use the extended warranty that we purchased and pay the deductible to fix it. That's crazy to pay for something that we were told was fixed last year. Like I said DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS DEALER. I'm sure you will be hearing about this on the news soon.

Given our proximity to Suntrup Kirkwood and the fact that they had taken such good care of my Mariner service, I didn't hesitate to go to Suntrup when we were looking to purchase a new Ford. While their responsiveness and customer service were great in helping us decide to purchase a Ford C-Max, their willingness to make a great trade-in offer on my Mariner, toward a new 2013 Escape, is what set them apart. Tom provided a great amount of information about the C-Max in particular, and Mike walked us through both car purchases on our visit. We cannot thank them enough for making our car buying experience truly enjoyable.

I had a very pleasant experience at Suntrup Ford in Kirkwood. After driving a used Fusion at another dealer, I thought it would be a good idea to look at the new 2012 models. The sales reps were very helpful and generous, explaining all the features of the various models, pointing out both advantages and disadvantages of each. They were respectful of my budget and let me drive the ones that were in my budget first. However, I quickly wanted to drive the SEL Fusions and as soon as I did I knew I had found my car. Since I would be purchasing this car jointly with my dad and eventually be the one taking on the payments once I graduate school, agreeing on a reasonable monthly payment was important to me. The reps were patient throughout the process and worked hard to provide me with a solid deal. After some negotiating, we landed on a price that my dad and I were both happy with. Ford was generous in offering all the rebates I was eligible for so that I got the best deal. It felt so good to finally sign for my new Fusion and drive her home. I have had her for a couple weeks now and I couldn't be happier with the quality of car. When I picked up my car the reps were very nice to explain all the features of the car and the SYNC services that she came with. I have already used most of them and am extremely satisfied with my purchase. I would definitely recommend this dealer to others shopping for a car - Ford or not. They were wonderful sales reps and very helpful throughout the process.

Going into this car buying experience, the staff overall were friendly and reassuring about the car we were purchasing. It was after the papers were signed and our (very large) check was cleared that we soon began being treated like a nuisance and our needs were not met in a timely manner. In general, once we no longer were viewed as dollar signs they could have cared less about fixing the problems they reassured us they would prior to buying the car. On a side note, my husband and I are very easy to please and RARELY complain about any service, so it takes a VERY bad experience for us to go to the length and write this review. But here's how it went, we purchased the car on a Friday evening (with the promise to fix a couple door dings on the side), drove the car home and noticed after a while of driving there was an annoying rattling noise when accelerating and braking. Now, I do not believe this dealership was aware of this noise (I'm assuming they had best intentions in selling this car in an honest fashion). However, we called that night after hearing the noise and they informed us to bring the car back the next morning and they "would do everything we can to take care of it for you". The next morning, I drove the car back and the sales manager, Eric, rode in the car with me. As I had alluded to prior in the phone call it only makes this noise after a while of driving once the engine has heated up. The noise was not heard during this five minute ride and yet he reassured me to "bring the car back in when it's making the noise one day this week and we will get it taken care of". I also mentioned that the wheel pulls to the right when driving and inquired about a wheel allignment. Eric reassured me that "cars are supposed to veer somewhat due to slanting in the road"...I may be a blonde, young female but I am not stupid..I know cars are not supposed to continually pull one or the other.. but I let this go and I intend to get the wheel allignent done on my own and eat the cost. Also, the saleswoman Laura had said she would call on Monday to schedule a time to have the dings fixed as mentioned earlier. Well the next whole week came and went..hadn't heard from Laura and so I called the following Monday (a week and 3 days later) to attempt to schedule an appointment, intending to get both concerns taken care of on the same day. Scheduling was a nightmare. Finally got the car in this morning (2 1/2 weeks later). I was told I would drop the car off at 8:45am and then get a rental car and be on my way while they took care of the noise and dings. Finally at 10:45am I was in a rental car and on my way. Oh, and to add to this nightmare, these people had felt it was OUR responsibility to cover the $100 deductible to have the noise fixed, which they REASSURED repeatedly before purchasing they would "take care of"!!! It took numerous conversations and making us feel like the bad guys to not pay the deductible..which of course was completely ridiculous to even THINK it was our responsibility. So about 6pm I get a phone call back letting me know that "there was nothing we could find wrong as to why the noise was being made..even though we aren't charging you for this we did go ahead and change out a part that wasn't really even bad but hoping it would fix the noise, an expense on our part just so you know". Also in this conversation was "the screaming in the background just broke my eardrums" in reference to my 18 month old needing my attention as well. Lastly, the dings on my car hadn't even been fixed yet!! But I was told I could reschedule a time to come BACK in and have those taken care of. I requested that I just take the paint bottle with me and I would find a more reliable place to have it "taken care of". I was instructed when leaving to please return the rental car with as much gas as I had used, which was a very reasonable request and I had no problem complying. It was a bit disheartening however that when I left my car at the shop it had a quarter tank of gas and when I picked it up it was on low fuel. So here I am at home, writing this review, my Explorer in the driveway STILL making a noise while driving and STILL with dings on the side. Luckily I have the touch up paint bottle so that I can get a reliable person to fix the dings, a reliable person to figure out what's causing the noise, AND pay for a wheel allignment so my car doesn't continue to pull to the right "due to the slanting of the road" (haha). Also of mention, once I got the car home for the first time after purchase and lifted the seats (so that I could vaccuum the visible animal hair out of the car that was driving my allergies crazy) I noticed a tremendous amount of trash, food, and animal hair clumps piled up under the seats. It took me nearly three hours to get all the animal hair out and the melted Hershey's bars, granola bars, and other unidentifiable foods cleaned out. I couldn't believe any place would sell a car in this condition, and I learned to lift ALL the seats before ever purchasing another vehicle. This was the first and last car we will ever purchase from this dealership, and while they haven't "taken care of" any of the concerns promised before purchasing this vehicle, I would rather eat the costs of truly getting it taken care of in a more timely and reliable fashion than dealing with these people anymore.. and in a place where we aren't treated as the annoying ones.

I purchased a 2001 Trans Am which needed cat converters put back on it. They agreed to have the previous owner (don't ask) come back and take care of that. I went back to have it done only to find out they swapped out my headers for the original exhaust manifolds and took all of my parts, including the aftermarket Y pipe. There was a big ordeal after they tried selling me MY parts back for $250. EXCUSE ME! They were on the car when I paid for it, meaning they are MY parts. Not to mention I've found out they lied about some other things about the car (go figure!). I'm happy with my car because it is a WS-6 and I managed to get my parts back. But, knowing what I know now, I would have been more diligent at negotiating a lower price. Regardless, I will NEVER go back to Suntrup for a vehicle, new or used. Be careful if you choose to find out for yourself.RECENT UPDATE: Just realized after going to DMV to get my plates today, I haven't received my title and paperwork packet from these morons. After a phone call, apparently they are still waiting for the title from the previous owner. Previous owner?! Suntrup is the "previous" owner. WTF is going on with this dealer? My temp is about to expire as I've had the car almost 30 days. How are these idiots still in business? Don't deal with them. If I don't see it before the 17th, they will get fined.

I visited Suntrup because I found a pre-owned vehicle on their website I was interested in previously found for sale by owner on Craigslist but was unable to reach the seller. My initial meeting and follow up was great; and I was hoping to purchase two vehicles but unfortunately the deal didn't work out. I went ahead and bought the vehicle I was interested in the following morning and was told it would be ready to pick up later that afternoon. It had a cracked windshield and the dealer agreed to have it repaired and I was told they would let me know when that would happen. I received a call later that day that the vehicle was ready to go and to come back to the dealer at my convenience. When I finished signing the paperwork I was taken out to the vehicle, thanked for my business and just about sent on my way when I noticed a soft top included in the sale but was not with the vehicle when it was "ready to go." A porter and I retrieved it and he helped me load it in my wife's vehicle. A short while later I realized I was never given a day or time for the windshield replacement so I called the dealer and asked when that was going to be taken care of. Apparently the appointment was already set and they failed to tell me. To make an already declining experience worse, the day the windshield was repaired (Tuesday) I brought the vehicle home and decided to install the soft top and found that part of it was missing. I called them and asked if they could double check the property for it and was told they would call me back. I waited for that call back until Friday of the same week and didn't hear anything so I made an attempt to get an update and called and reached a voice mail and left a message. A short while later I received a call that I was unable to answer. The message that was left for me? "I forgot all about the missing part, and I'm trying reach the previous owner but he hasn't called me back yet...." they also explained that I could expect a call back with details. Admittedly I was irritated but pleasant when I returned the call moments later and left my own message asking when I could expect to hear back from them about this issue; and explained in detail where the porter and I found the top the day of my purchase. I don't understand how a customer that spent nearly $28,000 can be forgotten about. Sure it's probably not the biggest sale of the day, but to me it's important. I understand sales personnel get busy, but how hard is it to set a reminder, write yourself a note or even ask a coworker or supervisor for help in getting this resolved? It's now Wednesday of the following week and I've not heard anything back, and I still can't use the top I paid for that was supposed to be included in the vehicle. It's unacceptable that the responsibility has been placed on my shoulders to follow up and beg for what I paid for. The service after the sale at this dealer is horrible. I truly feel that since my check has cleared and they've received payment they feel no obligation to follow through and most likely the only way this will get resolved is via BBB.ORG complaint. I was sincerely hoping to purchase another vehicle from Suntrup and David Gibson but because of this experience I have taken my business to another South County Ford dealer and I wouldn't recommend Suntrup Ford Kirkwood for an oil change, much less a car purchase.

Wife was sold the 5,000 mile package service for an oil change which was suppose to include an Extensive inspection. In short all she got was an oil change and hopefully engine and fuel system cleaner. The inspection must have taken about 3 minutes and consisted of Chad checking the Green boxes on the sheet. The battery died 6 days later and the alternator was shot which seemed to have showed up when AAA had to replace it at 9pm. It also showed up on a test that was run when we took it down the street to Roy's Auto on Manchester. When we went back to complain about lack of inspection all he wanted to do is charge us $50 to diagnose the problem and also wanted us to check with our warranty to see if they would cover the replacement cost. Which every service department I have been to before and since Suntrup Ford was more than willing to do for us. The customer service was horrid and the work was LAZY. To respond to the dealer this is what was sent back. First I would like to clarify, I and my wife felt like the car wasn't inspected at all and just the green boxes were checked on the sheet. Secondly Chad was unwilling to contact the warranty company because "we didn't sell you the warranty and it is your warranty so it is your responsibility". To answer your questions:1) Yes Chad was the only person that was dealt with on both occasions. 2) The alternator problem showed up on both AAA and Roy's diagnostic test. 3) We were being told that he couldn't check our warranty company first before running another diagnostic which we would have to pay for in addition to our warranty deductible. Hope this helps and I hope you can resolve the issues or else I am sure you will lose more business. Thank you.

Mr. Dietz and the dealership were very friendly and we enjoyed working with them. Tom was responsive to our questions and we felt we got a fair offer for our used car. Tom also spent a good bit of time going through the operating controls with me. Our experience with the dealership overall was very good.

I flew down to St Louis to purchase a used truck from Kirkwood Ford. Tom Dietz picked me up at the airport and within minutes I felt completely comfortable.My experience at Kirkwood was extremely enjoyable. Everyone I met was friendly and very helpful. Dealing with Tom Dietz was a great experience. I would rate him as one of the nicest guys in the business. Finding a good dealership is not easy Finding a salesman as great as Tom is almost impossible. When I need to buy a car Tom will be at the top of the list.

I have purchased three new and used cars from Suntrup-Kirkwood in the past 2 years. Why? Becuase they want my business...and they show it! In this economy, that makes the difference...they care! My needs are listened to...my budget respected...so that I am "fitted" with the cars my family and I need, NOT what they want to move off the lot. I have seen the quality and styling of Ford products improve greatly in the past 5 years...so much so that I traded in by Buick Regal & Chrysler Town n Country Minivan on the same day and drove off the Kirkood lot w a great used Lincoln Zephyr and brand new Ford Flex. I had not purchased a Ford product in 20 years...and it was Suntrup-Kirkwood that changed that. Although they are the ones who sincerly thank you for your business...I thank Tom Hicks-Sales, Eric Promesey-Pre-Owned Mgr, and Kirk Latta-General Manager for their continued professionalism to myself and my family during the car purchase & service process. Mr. Latta has created a great team that actually makes car buying FUN!

I think Tom Dietz is a great sales person. Very informative, pleasant and funny. I would buy another car from him in the future. He was quick to answer all my questions in a professional and courteous manner without dumbing down the conversation for the "female customer"

Just want everyone to know how happy I am with my brand new Ford Escape...I have purchased many new veicles in my life, and suntrup ford kirkwood was the best by a long shot. My sales person was David Gibson who was very knowledgeable, and actually took the time to listen to my needs and I was able to pick the vehicle I actually wanted. Kirk Latta was the manager there, and all i have to say is absolute PERFECTION!!! He actually came out and introduced himself, and I felt he really wanted to earn my business. The price was the best price I found in town after comparing their price with other dealers. Suntrup Ford Kirkwood now has a customer for life. THANKS GUYS, LOVE MY ESCAPE
