Eddie was overall fantastic. My wife and I drove out to Countryside from Chicago to look at a specific used car that they had on their lot. We were hesitant to drive out there as my wife is very pregnant and we didn't want to be stuck in an office closing on a vehicle if she were to go into labor. Eddie assured us that if we decided to purchase the vehicle he would make the paperwork/negotiation portion as timely as possible. We knew exactly what we wanted and needed to make a deal and Eddie worked with the manager and the finance department to make that happen. Couldn't be happier in our new vehicle and couldn't recommend anyone better than Eddie.

TL:DR took them 2.5 hours and cost me $140 for what ultimately turned out to be a $6 plastic gas cap replacement. Technicians dismissive at best. Like many people, I don't write reviews on the internet unless I have strong feelings one way or the other. Came here because of Cars.com rating when my "check engine" light came on. When I pulled up the customer service representative was on the phone with another customer. He made several dismissive, eye rolling gestures in full view of myself and other customers as he conversed on the phone. When I described the issue he said "Do you have time to wait?" and, without giving me any idea about timeline, he took the key and left. This struck me as odd, as they didn't appear particularly busy. Fast forward an hour, I am still waiting in the (admittedly comfortable) lounge area with no explanation of the diagnosis or repairs. A different technician comes out and asks me for my information, because the first technician didn't take any of it down. Not even my first name. He also (rather rudely) demands that I sign the invoice for a $140 diagnosis. When I ask for information about the car, he explains they haven't looked at it yet. 20 minutes later, the first technician comes back and explains the light went on because the threads on the gas cap have worn down and there is a minor leak. The plastic gas cap needs to be replaced, that's all. Then he is unsure whether they have it in stock. How can you be unsure for an additional 30 minutes? I don't know, I'm not all that technically inclined. They of course charge me the full $140 dollars. The gas cap retails for $6 on the internet. I realize they had to dedicate labor to the diagnosis, but I also know thats like a 5 minute process.

Our Subaru is still under the complete new car warranty. When we brought the car in to fix 2 intermittent DOCUMENTED problems they wanted us to know that they could charge us $140.00 for each problem if they could not find the cause? Why would i pay them for not being able to do their job and find and fix the DOCUMENTED problem! The internet is loaded with people reporting the same problem on the car! Kept the car for over 4 days and guess what--------they found nothing!! Claimed Subaru has never heard of such a problem----- maybe they should look on the internet!These people do not have a clue on fixing a problem! Loved my salesman when i bought the car ----- service department makes me think to never again use this dealer.

I bought a 2014 new Subaru Impreza a few weeks ago. Mario was our salesman and he was excellent! He was very informative and allowed me to get a wonderful car for a reasonable price. I felt very confident in my decision and know that I bought a safe car that I feel confident driving. I would highly recommend not only purchasing a Subaru, but traveling to Countyside to do it!

They were very relaxed, straight forward and answered any and all questions. They were a little hard on pricing but remember you are getting a Subaru and they offer more extras than any other dealer!

I stopped in to look at a used Legacy as they had one of the biggest selections in the Chicago land area. I was greeted with a smile at the door by Paul. He was very friendly and found me a vehicle that suited my needs and fitting my budget. He was very relaxed and at no point did I feel pressured to purchase the vehicle. I would highly recommend Paul and the Autobarn for a vehicle.

Just a bad buying experience. "Friendly" is not a word that managers have learned in their life time. Post sale complains about repairs that I had to pay out of my own pocked were straight out ignored, and I got pretty much yelled at for even mentioning them. During the signing process nothing was explained that a regular person would need. While the facility was clean, but the place was full of employees that were doing nothing. It felt like the managers cared so little about the people at that place, that they were allowed to do whatever they want. The sales person himself was probably the only good part about this sale.

If you are looking for a great deal with friendly service this is the dealership! Not only did they beat everyone else's price by a wide margin but they made the entire process fast and easy. I can't say enough good things about this dealership.

I went to look at a used vehicle on a Tuesday, and met salesman Mike P. I was happy with Mikes demeanor. I took the vehicle for a test drive and had some concerns about the brakes. Mike said he would have the service techs look at it. Mike called me the next day and said the problem was fixed. I went back on Thursday and met Mario (Mikes day off). I was also very happy with Marios professionalism. Mario pointed out the fixed problem, so I test drove the vehicle again. I purchased the vehicle right after. I would highly recommend purchasing a vehicle from these folks. I felt very comfortable with Mike and Mario; very nice people. The used vehicle very nice.

We were looking for a used car for my 19 year old son and he found exactly what he wanted here. When we drove down from the northern suburbs I was not looking forward to dealing with a car salesman. While on the lot we were approached by Mario inquiring if we needed any help. His manner and how he talked took my fears away. He was very knowledgable about the vehicle we were looking at, pointed out the positives as well as the negatives. We went for a test drive and when in to talk price. Even that part wasn't as bad as I though it would be. We came to an agreement very soon and the deal was done! Shortly after the purchase we had some mechanical problems with the car and it needed repair. We had it brought back to The Autobarn and I dealt with Scott in the service department and Dennis the sales manager and couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome. I will purchase another vehicle from these great people.

An excellent car buying experience, Eddie Jedlowski went above and beyond my expectations. I wanted to test drive several vehicles and he had these all warmed up and ready to go rather than having me wait, which was great considering it was of those 10 degree days in Chicago. He explaining the features of each vehicle, recommended service, and a quick tour of the dealership so I knew where to go for service or parts. The nicest part of this experience was the lack of sales pressure, he laid out the options and pricing, and let me make my decision. I picked up the car the next day and was in/out of the dealership/financing office in less than 2 hours, which was outstanding. Summary, great salesman, friendly dealership, excellent price, well worth a visit.

Working with this dealership was a great experience. Sales consultant Paul Hosman was friendly and knowledgeable. As a first time leaser, I was somewhat nervous going into the situation but Paul truly helped make the experience worry free answering all the questions I threw at him. After establishing my budget, Paul saved us lots of time, showing us only the items that fit my request (American SUV) and budget. He was patient as I decided and worked with me to come to a deal. I am very satisfied with my purchase (2008 dodge nitro) and would recommend Paul and this dealership. (My mom and fiance were with me, and both mentioned they'd return to Paul for a future car purchase). :)

I was not looking forward to buying a car because I've had bad experiences before. Eddie Jedlowski met me at the door when I came there. He was very casual and didn't pressure me, but did answer EVERY question I had and I had a lot of them. He really knows his product and made sure I got all the features on the car that were important to me but didn't pressure me into spending more money on things that I didn't care about. I got the car I wanted and Eddie made the experience very easy for me.

I knew I wanted a Subaru and I wanted a used one to save some money. Cars.com is great since it let me compare subarus from several dealers all from one site. Well not only did Autobarn have the biggest selection but they had the best prices also. The sales person who helped me was Eddie Jedlowski and he let me take my time driving both the Forester and Outback since I was undecided. He let me know all about both vehicles and I ended up with an Outback. Not only did I have a great experience with Eddie, but Lee his manager was very helpful with financing my car and warranty options. I was there for a while, but it was time well spent. The car is great. Thanks guys!

Adam was very knowledgeable about the cars that he was showing me. He was patient and not pushy at all. As a recommendation, I would not look any further then Adam and the Autobarn team when looking for a new or used car. They have a great selection of cars and the staff is very helpful.

I recently look for an outback Subaru 2013 at Autobarn countryside Subaru. I seached it online and called the dealer. The genterman Michael was very nice telling me that the outback is on sale, he gave me the price and asked me when I can be at the dealer. I told hime that I will be there in one hour. By the time arrived, Machael introduced me to a saleman Gorge who showing me the car. I told Gorge that I like the car, so we continue to process the purchased. Gorge told me the price was different from Michael who told me over the phone. I was shocked!! I asked Gorge if I could talk to the manager. The Manager Chad showed up and very rude, he said the car was sold. I told him that Michael told me the car is available an hour ago. Chad said that was a mistake from the internet. I told Chad that it was not right which I confirmed with Michael before I leave my home. He said that he can't sell me the car with that price, and he admited that the dealer is dishonesty. so I left the store very upset. I called Michael back again to express my frastration at the store. He apologized for what happen and promised calling me back after investigated the situation. Michael called me back and confirmed again to sell me the car as he promised. I got the car two days later with higher level management involved. I am concerned their practice!!

I recently went looking for a new car and was told to check out a new Subaru. I have never owned anything but a Toyota. I am very biased when it comes to my brand of car, but after looking around on the lot and speaking to Adam S (in which was NOT very pushy..which I loved!) I found a lot that I really liked and am considering switching my car of choice. The quality of service received was excellent and I was not pressured to buy anything that I wasn't quite sure about. I have not made my mind up about taking on a note, but I will definitely keep Autobarn Subaru in mind when I do decide. I highly recommend checking them out!

I worked with Adam Szymanowski on a purchase of a Subaru Impreza. Adam was very friendly and honest with my husband and I and made us feel very comfortable. The Subaru sold itself, however, Adam was the reason that we purchased it that night. My husband and I will definitely go back to The Autobarn Subaru of Countryside.

I went into the Autobarn of Mazda in Countryside and this guy was really pushy. I was just browsing and the guy walked over and was letting me step into one of the vehicles. I stepped in to a 2006 Standard Mustang and asked him if I could take it for a test drive, when he finally gave me the keys the car wouldn't start. He tried and gave a bit of gas and tried changing gears and the vehicle was a lemon that was on sale! Then the salesman says this isn't the vehicle you want and goes and takes me to see the new vehicles that cost 5x what I told him I could afford and was then trying to get me to sign into a payment plan on the spot and asked me for information. At that point I walked out, I will never go to this dealer ever again and that salesman has made me skeptical about buying used cars at new car dealers.

I visited autobarn countryside Mazda hoping to buy a used Suv with a limited budget. Mr. Mike (manager) and Justin (sales) really tried to work out within my budget but eventhough I wasn't able to get the car still i can say that i have a wonderful experience with this dealer..there is no negative pressure and was treated with respect up to the end. I will definitely comeback here in the future. more power guys!!!

I went to the autobarn hoping to buy a forester. They helped me find the right pre-driven vehicle that i can rely on. Im extremely happy with my purchase. The sales staff is extremely friendly, trustworthy, and helpful. The service department is also the best. I wouldn't buy a car from anyone else.

I came in for a service appointment to have my car fixed and I felt so relaxed and not pressured in the service department, My service advisor was very friendly and outgoing it was a wonderful experience, when I was completely I walked the showroom floor and I had several employees just say good morning to me no hassels for walking around, I later came back and bought a brand new car with no hassels and felt very relaxed with the Autobarn Subaru group. Thank you everyon for the great service and follow-up.
