I would say that I don't enjoy the whole process of buying a vehicle, but that may have changed since buying a used pick up truck at Thys Motor Company in Belle Plaine. Denny was easy to work with and the whole process took less than an hour.When I returned Susie had all the paperwork ready and I was out the door in minutes. This was a great buying experience.

Dealing with Dan Bevins was painless and took most of the frustration out of the purchasing of our new 2016 Dodge Charger. It was one of the smoothest and most enjoyable new vehicle purchases I have been involved in. Our family has had such a great experience at Thys in Belle Blaine! We've now bought 2 news cars from this great company! All the sales staff are great we always work with Dan but I'd recommend anyone! I was traveling from Michigan to California and my van was acting up, I stopped at Thys in Belle Plaine and spoke with Sam, not only did she understand the urgency of our situation but even though it looked as though they were really busy she was able to get us fixed up and back on the road. My father needed a dependable vehicle so I assisted him in his search at his request. We had narrowed the list of possibles down to three different cars at three different dealerships. After test driving a 2015 Chrysler 200 Limited with 25,000 miles we were both certain that we had found his car. He had two vehicles to trade in which Dave valued very fairly. There was no pressure during the sales process. Dave went out of his way to explain the car's features to my Dad, who at age seventy-seven, is not familiar with the bells and whistles of today's automobiles. Working with Susie on financing was an equally pleasant experience. Loan approval was quick and he obtained a very competitive interest rate. Susie was extremely patient as she explained the different warranty options to us, and again there was no pressure to select one over the other. She simply assisted us in choosing the one that was most practical for him and his situation. In the end, his payment was much less than he had budgeted for, which was very important given he is on a fixed income.Dad is extremely pleased with his choice of vehicle, and we are just as pleased with Thys Motors. Since I live four hours away, I can rest assured knowing that he has a trustworthy dealership minutes from his home should he have any questions or problems. We highly recommend Thys for your next vehicle purchase.

Had a great experience trading in my car for another vehicle. Dan made the experience very easy. Never felt pressured. They offered me $4K more for my trade in than what Billion in Iowa City quoted me. Very professional and trustworthy in my opinion and I've purchased many cars.Susie in finance took care of all the paperwork details and knew the answers to my questions even before I had to ask them! I recently purchased a "new to me" Silverado 2500HD a few months ago and just scheduled my first service appointment with them. It was an absolute pleasure working with Dan Bevins. He was very informational and honest when it came to the buying process. He even made sure that I understood that he didn't want to get me into a vehicle that wouldn't fit my budget. After we sealed the deal with a hand shake, I moved on to their financing department and worked with Susie. She was incredible when it came to finding offers from lenders. I am very confident in knowing that I got the absolute best financing rate around. 3 months later and my truck is still as reliable as the day it left the factory, special thanks to Sam Welch and the service department. I've had horrible experiences with dealerships in the past have made me leave dealerships with a bad taste in my mouth, but I left Thys with a smile on my face (and a used car)! Rob and Susie were so welcoming and nice to both me and my father, who tagged a long to give me some advice. They were completely honest about the state of my vehicle, and they did not use ANY high pressure sales techniques on me. I got the vibe that this was a smaller business that was popular because they operate in such good faith with their surrounding community. Not even my lender could believe the ridiculously good deal that I got on my car (it normally retails for ~2000-3000 more)! I never want to do business with another dealer.

I was pleased with every aspect of my purchase. Dan & Susie were very friendly & made my experience great (& I hate buying cars). Dan was very helpful in assisting me to decide what car would make me happy. He was very accommodating & encouraged me to drive every car in the lot even though they had some construction going on & the cars were a little difficult to get out. He then helped me to weigh the pros & cons of each one. He really listened to what I wanted & I never felt like I was being pushed toward what he wanted to sell. Susie in finance was also very helpful. I felt very confident that she was willing to go the extra mile to find me the best deal on my financing. I live 20 miles away & they even made sure to let me know that they would come & get my car, leave a loaner & then bring it back any time I needed maintenance. Heck, they even offered to pick it up where I work, an additional 20 miles away. It truly felt like that small town personal service that you just don't see much of anymore. Thanks! Love my car!

I just recently purchased a Dodge Durango at Thys Motor Company in Belle Plaine. Mike was so helpful in finding the perfect vehicle for me. I had been looking for awhile and test drove a few different ones before deciding on the right one. Mike kept me informed when a different vehicle that he thought I might be interested in came in. He was also very helpful in answering any and all of the questions that I had, before and even after I purchased the Durango. Susie in the financing department was also very helpful. She had all of my paperwork ready to go when I got there and was more than willing to answer any questions that I had. She is very organized and it did not take long at all to have everything filled out and me driving off in my new Durango. I can't forget Jessie either, she is the friendliest receptionist that I know. Any time I call to speak to Mike or Susie or call to set up something with the service department, she always answers the phone with a smile in her voice! She always connects me with the person that I need to talk to in a timely manner. When you walk through the front door she is always there with a big smile and Hello! Thanks to everyone there for all of their help, I love my Durango!

The folks at Thys Auto went beyond the normalcy of Customer service. The sales and Finance work as a team to make the visit as quick and painless as possible. Michael Trunkhill the service manager was extremely helpful in diagnosing all the repairs my car was going to need. I was told things I could wait a few more months on and things that needed to be fixed right away. Its very nice to know that I can count on a dealership to not make me feel like EVERYTHING has to be fixed right then an there just to make a buck. Anytime I need an oil change done I am able to get in an out quickly instead of having to wait weeks for an appointment. I'll go to this dealership every time for all my service needs because I appreciate the quality of work and enjoy the quality of customer service.

Getting acquainted with the service department at Thys has been the best thing to come from an unpleasant experience. The service manager, Michael Trunkhill, and his group of technicians are a wonderful crew. Even though my car wore the badging of another dealership, Michael treated me as though I had been a customer of their for some time. They put a lot of effort into making my experience a pleasant one. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. Even though I didn't meet any of the mechanics who worked on my car, I'd like to express my gratitude to everyone involved for their service above and beyond to get me back on the road. I went to the lot and was greeted by Derek who exemplified a sincere and honest style of customer service. He let me drive the car for a test drive and carefully took the time to work with the dealership on a total cost to purchase the car which included my trade-in. I found him to be very patient with me in providing me the appropriate information since it was my first time I have ever spent looking for a car after college. I spent time going to many dealerships in the area and because of his style of professionalism, I decided that I would only purchase a car from him at this dealership. I am a big Chrysler product fan having owned more than 30 vehicles over the last 35 years, and I have worked with numerous dealerships over the years. I can honestly say that working with Thys has been the most comfortable and rewarding experience of any dealership with whom I have dealt. Mike and Susie O'Brien are among the best in the business and we worked out a deal with Mike on our Dodge Journey that was second to none. We searched and traveled more than 100 miles to look at Journeys and most dealers we visited were big disappointments in terms of price or customer service or both. So we came back to Mike at Thys Motor Company because we feel that they are the best in the area! I would strongly recommend anyone in Central Iowa looking for a new or used vehicle to head out to Belle Plaine and see Mike O'Brien at Thys Motors. These guys are the very definition of a Chrysler 5-star dealership!

I'd been considering a new car purchase for several months but dragging my feet due to past memories of "the hassle". Wish I would have know about Thys Motor Company then. Our salesman, Dan, was great. He was very knowledgeable about the car I was interested in and found the model with the options I wanted in a day. No high pressure phone calls. He called only when he said he would. Susie, from the business office, was super efficient and helpful. She researched rates and was able to get a rate lower than the local banks/credit unions were offering. As we went through the necessary paperwork she explained all in detail. When I had a question, she answered it precisely and clearly. It was so refreshing to do business with Thys. If your "dreading the process" like I was, I highly recommend you visit Thys. It was my pleasure!

I graduated from college in LA and moved back to Iowa to start my career. I rode a bicycle in LA to and from classes for 18 months, needless to say I was looking for a good used vehicle to get around in Iowa. I went to the two dealerships in my hometown and I fell in love with Thys motors. I told Dan what I was looking for and what I could spend and he showed me a variety of vehicles to choose from. After I made my choice, Susie helped me set up financing and explained the different warranties that came with my purchase. I get my vehicle serviced there on a regular basis and the staff take care to check my vehicle over and let me know if anything needs to be looked at. I did need some repairs done this past month and they got everything done in 1/2 a day getting my vehicle back to me in a very timely manner. I am looking forward to the day I can afford a new vehicle and I know where I will be going.

I recently had my van serviced at Thys Motors and I am very pleased. Called Susie Johnson, and she was able to get me right into the service department. Michael in the service department picked up my van that morning, changed the oil and fixed the recall. Had it done and returned to me before I needed to pick up my daughter from school. Thy's helped us with a vehicle that we purchased from a different dealership, and they were very friendly, professional, and did quality repair work. Mike O'brien the manager was concerned about the problems we were having and did what he could to get corporate to help with warranty issues. We own a company that is growing very quickly, and we are in need of multiple vehicles. We have been to the "BIG" dealerships and we were ran through the "Sales game", and overcharged for work that should have been under warranty, but because we purchased elsewhere it wasn't covered. Multiple experiences like this have made us dislike purchasing vehicles. At Thy's Auto they have a different philosophy, more of a small town, personal touch that you can trust. Mike O'Brien the manager, and Sussie in the financial office have been wonderful to work with. They are very kind, honest, and easy to work with. We have worked with some of the other sales people at Thy's as well, and even the up fit and service people. We were so impressed with the customer service we received since then that when I needed a new vehicle we went back. Rob Thomason was very nice to deal with as well. I went to this dealership 10 mins before they closed on a Saturday just before a big snowstorm. I had my vehicle serviced elsewhere and had a terrible oil leak. All I asked was if Mike O'Brien would see if I had enough oil to make it to work for the weekend. I was told it was not safe to drive and they gave me a loaner car that would get me through the expected storm for the weekend. They even made sure my vehicle got back to the other service location and got fixed! I have never been to a dealership that goes that far above and beyond to help. Can't thank Mike and Suzie enough. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

I looked at a lot of dealers for a cargo van. I told dealers what I wanted and what I wanted to spend. 3 out of 4 dealers said they would get back to me but never did. I talked with Rob from Thys and he was able to find what I wanted and I purchased it. Great experience.

My experience with Thys was awesome! The staff was helpful especially my Salesperson Rob Thomason, he was very informative and knowledgeable on the cars for sale on their lot. Pleasant and not pushy!! The facility was clean and even served cookies, coffee and popcorn. I was completely satisfied with my service!

I contacted Thys about a van I found on cars.com and received a reply from Ryan Bevins very quickly and he was quick to answer my questions and genuinely seemed to want to win my business. When I arrived at the dealership I was greeted and had a pleasant experience dealing with Mile O'Brien. He was knowledgeable about the Promaster van. My paper work was completed quickly and efficiently by Susie. I had looked at vans at several other dealerships many of which were unpleasant experiences being female was treated as if I knew nothing, that was not the case at Thys Automotive.

I test drove a Chrysler 200 during a Drive for your School event and fell in love with the car. The salesman who helped me kept this in mind and when Thys Auto had a sales event with rebates he called me to make me aware of this. I was looking at the 200s in stock and saw that a red one was coming in and I was wanting a red car so the salesman called the day it came in, they held the car until I could get there the next weekend and I LOVE MY NEW CAR!!! Rob Thomason gave me a fair deal on my trade and got me all of the rebates that I was eligible for. I HIGHLY recommend going to see Rob if you are in the market for a new car...or even if you aren't! I was planning to keep the car I had but with the rebates, interest rates and safety features, my car payment went down and my insurance went down. Not always are you better off staying in the car you have.

I contacted these people on-line about a truck they had listed on Cars.com. They responded immediately and we began negotiation . They gave me a qualified price for my vehicle and I drove the 200+ miles to the dealership. The truck I wished to purchase exeeded my expectations. They gave me a price for my trade that was more than fair. I drove my new truck home, a very happy customer.
