I usually buy from private owners because I do not like the sales pitch. Batavia Toyota really exceeded my expectations. They were honest and looked out for the interest of me, the customer. Something has changed big time. I never saw such a dealership with a morale problem. Many of the people appear to never worked in the industry and are lost and don't know product. I tried to contact my salesman and he was gone. I then tried to contact the Dealership Manager as he went to another dealer. I also contacted service looking for one of the service writers that knew the job and he was gone. I mentioned this to a friend at a local store and she had a bad experience and won't go back.

I had done my homework and was ready to buy, huge process for me, huge purchase for me. Then I realized I had to go and deal with the dreaded "car salesman!" I saw a car I liked on the internet site, contacted them and made my appointment to go to Toyota of Batavia and was very pleasantly surprised. I met with Jason Palmer on my 1st trip, test drove a couple of cars and his 1st response on my return was: "You didn't love it, did you?" I said no and he said well lets find you a car that you love. We discussed the features I wanted and the price I wanted to pay. I left on the 1st trip without a car but with hope that I was on the right track. Jason let me know there were a couple more cars, one sold and the other was the one for me! I absolutely love the car and get lots of compliments. Tony from finance walked me through the legal papers and he made sure I understood everything. My experience here was a good one. I would recommend this dealership to all. It was worth the trip from Henrietta. Thank you Jason for having a good pitch but not an overbearing one. Thanks for walking me through the details of the car. I had been looking for a nice used Tacoma for several months on line. I had the pleasure of receiving a response immediately from Steve. We discussed both new and used Tacoma pickups. Steve mentioned that he had a 2013 Tacoma 4WD coming in on trade that weekend, one that he had originally sold, and we made arrangements to look at it as soon as it arrived. I was immediately impressed with it. Steve gave me a rock bottom price to purchase it and I did not hesitate to buy it. Steve was great to deal with, going over all the features, the engine and running gear, warranty remaining, and all the optional packages that were available to purchase. I picked the Tacoma a few days later and it was immaculate. I have driven it for 2 weeks now and thoroughly enjoy it. I have nothing but praise for Steve and Toyota of Batavia.

My wife and I moved to Upstate NY from IN. We had a luxury car which was a rear drive. I had to prepare for winter due to snow. We were looking for Murano and not satisfied with the price. I just met Steve last Monday and he gave me great used car, 2015 Subaru Outback Premium with great price. The car was less than 3,000 miles on it, and no accident on Carfax report. Thanks Steve. After searching for months, we finally found a car for our daughter that was safe, had low mileage, in very good condition and we purchased it at a very good price. Steve Schafer was extremely helpful, professional, pleasant and I got a good vibe from him that he was trustworthy. Car shopping can be a headache when dealing with pushy salesman and the uncertainty if they are being honest. Steve was definitely not that type of salesman!! We test drove the car over the weekend to make sure we liked it. I would recommend anyone to this dealership and specifically, Steve! The only thing that did not sit too well with my husband and I was the finance manager. He was nice but, I felt he was trying to rush through the paperwork........purchasing a vehicle is expensive and I did not care for the 'blah, blah, blah, sign here, blah, blah, blah sign here' at such a rapid pace. I did take the time to read the documents before signing but if I signed at his pace, we would have been done in 3 minutes versus the 30-40 minutes it actually took because I slowed down the pace. I would have appreciated he treating us like valued customers versus just another person buying a car. Was the experience bad enough that I would not purchase another vehicle here or recommend someone else to the dealership? No, it wasn't. I hope this review is seen by the dealership. Overall, good experience.

This was my first time buying a car that was 10 yrs or older. I decided to go to Batavia because I had visited a Toyota dealer in Rochester and was not happy with the salesman persona and pushiness that I had experienced. I did some research online before going to the dealer and found some cars I wanted here. I went in with no expectations and not planning on buying that day. I was going to try to make a deal and get what I wanted. We immediately were greeted and test drove 3 cars in less than 30 min. Terri Moriarty was our sales lady and she couldn't have been more perfect. She was patient and willing to answer the plethora of questions we had and calm our concerns. I knew I wanted a Toyota because of the reputation and reliability that comes with the name. We were at the dealer all of 1 1/2 hours and finally decided it was the fit for us. Terry was honest and open with us about the car and our purchasing options. I really felt like she was invested in helping us find what we wanted at the price we wanted. I couldn't be happier with my decision and when my fiance is ready to get a new car we will definitely go back. I would recommend Toyota of Batavia to anyone because of the service we got with Terri. She calmed all my fears of scary dealerships and got me into a car that I love.

I am so excited to have a 2012 Rav4 again. Steve contacted me via email last week and we had a chat about the vehicle they had on their lot.. I initially looked at pricing online at Toyota of Batavia and received nice email pricing and correspondence from Stacy. After a few emails back and forth I went in to start my car search process. Stacy greeted me at Toyota of Batavia and then matched me up with Chris Brown , a sales associate. I drove an LE Camry and an LE Camry Hybrid to start my car buying information and price gathering. In the two weeks that followed my initial test drive, I went to several Rochester area car dealers including Chevy, Nissan, Honda and other Toyota dealers. I wanted to make sure I covered all my bases. Every car I looked at was in the same price category as the Camry. After visiting many dealers, I always came back to Toyota of Batavia for 2nd and 3rd test drives (as you can tell I take my time buying cars and I like to be thorough). I realized that Chris gave me the best no haggle price right from the beginning and because of the atmosphere and no pressure attitude of everyone at Toyota of Batavia I finally decided on a 2014 Camry SE. Chris, was always patient and very knowledgeable, he worked very very hard to get me all I wanted in car for the price and payment I was looking for with no pressure or games. It was so nice dealing with a salesman that spoke to you like a friend an not a target. The car buying process was great at all stages of this purchase. After I decided on a car, Ken in Finance went over the details and with no pressure gave me additional add on options , but again with no high pressure sales tactics. ** Also impressive was that they got me great financing though Toyota even though I don't have the highest of the high credit rating. Overall, The buying experience at Toyota of Batavia was 100% awesome and I would highly recommend them for anyone looking for a car! Also as a side note, my wife has a Toyota from "Toyota of Batavia" and I already knew that the service department was great and always super professional and nice. This played a big part in the buying decision as well. After buying the car, Stacy came to congratulate me on my new purchase as well as thank me for coming in to their dealership. That was a nice touch. *Chris Brown -was just an amazing gentlemen to work with and I will definitely see him again in 3yrs when my lease expires. I live about 50 miles away from T of B, was a little uneasy about working with a dealership that far away. The staff at T of B were very friendly, helpful and very responsive to my questions especiallyTerri Moriarty, who was the sales consultant I worked with. Terri set up a test drive for me, allowed me take the car to my home overnight so I could experience the different types of driving conditions for expressway, country roads, city roads, hills, curves, etc. The Highlander I wished to buy had to be ordered. Terri was in contact with me when my vehicle arrived at T of B and again when the extras I ordered were completed. The day I picked up my new vehicle went smoothly. My overall experience with T of B and especially working with Terri Moriarty was very satisfying. I would hightly recommend buying a car from this dealership.

Our car buying experience through Batavia Toyota was excellent! We found the car we were looking for advertised on the internet, contacted the dealership who was very responsive. I am so glad my friend recommended Toyota of Batavia to me! Buying a car has always seemed like an intimidating process to me - I've always felt pressured and, often times, I've felt that the salespeople have tried to take advantage of me. NOT at Toyota of Batavia!! Steve Schaefer took the time to listen to my needs, and allowed me time to consider his offer. I felt respected and well-informed when I decided to trade my older vehicle and lease a 2014 Camry LE. Before I left, Steve had introduced me to the service staff, showed me several features on my new car, and even programmed my radio for me! (Additionally, I must say I have never seen a nicer showroom/service waiting area, complete with antique gas pumps, toys for kids of all ages, and an inviting coffee bar. When I return for my Toyota Care FREE scheduled maintenance, I look forward to seeing Steve again and relaxing in the waiting area!)

Car buying and leasing is usually at the bottom of my list of "fun things to do". It is usually far below root canals! Trading in a vehicle and leasing a new Prius c from Terri Dorminy, the best Sales and Leasing Consultant in our region, was the opposit. It was an absolute pleasure. Terri listened. Terri provided viable options. Terri helped us find a car that would be right - size, needs, cost and circumstance. When the option I thought we wanted was a bit too expensive, she worked with the manager to find us a much better option, much lower cost and much better gas mileage. Since we were helping my daughter to get her first car and she goes to college out of state, Terri and Bob went way over the top with getting everything ready, putting sticky notes where signatures were needed, explaining what needed to be notorized, etc. So clear and detailed. All went smoothly even though it was quite complicated. Last but not least, I had never been able to get my new phone to pair with my Prius (which I also purchased at Toyota of Batavia). Terri helped me to get my phone paired and offered to pair my daughters phone with the Prius c, too. I will definitely be visiting Terri when I am ready to trade in my Prius for a new vehicle. I highly recommend Terri Dorminy and Toyota of Batavia if you are looking to lease or buy a new vehicle.

All though it took a week to finalize the deal (our hesitation) once we decided that the 2012 Avalon was the right car for us the process went very smoothly. We did have a few requests (new tires) that the dealer agreed too. Our initial visit to test drive was great. Our saleslady, Terri was kind, courteous and knowledgeable. We feel she worked to get us the best deal possible. Then after picking up the car we noticed we had left something behind and Terri was quick to retrieve the item.

I can honestly say that I had the best experience leasing a 2013 RAV4 with Toyota of Batavia. I initially went in looking to purchase a used car. I dealt with Terri Dorminy, and I am thankful I ended up with her. She was extremely patient with me, allowing me to ask her a million questions. She didnt push me into making a decision right away, and she was always willing to address my concerns. She was extremely informative and always willing to answer all of questions. She explained to me the whole leasing process, as I had no idea how it worked. She tried her hardest to find me the best deal, and to bring my payments as low as I wanted. I enjoyed working with Terri. I believe she is a great asset to the team at Toyota of Batavia. I also dealt with Amanda Rejman. She was also very helpful, patient and understanding. She answered all of my questions on the day I signed my leasing agreement. The whole team at Toyota of Batavia was very friendly whenever I came in.

I recently purchased a 2014 Tacoma from Toyota of Batavia. I couldn't have been happier with the service and the buying process at this dealership. This is our second Toyota purchase at Toyota of Batavia. Steve Schaefer, the sales and leasing consultant was very knowledgeable about the vehicle we were purchasing and thoroughly explained the operation and care of the car. He was very patient, answered all the questions we asked, and explained all the features of the Corolla, new and old. He made sure we understood everything and took us through the steps of caring for it. He introduced us to the service personnel and the service procedure. We then were taken to see the financial services manager, Amanda Rejman who did an excellent overview of the financial process. We completed the whole process in less time than we expected to and overall, it was a very relaxing and pleasant experience. Over the years we have purchased ten or more cars and the Toyota experience was, by far, the nicest.

I called this Toyota dealer because I had questions about buying cars on line. I spoke with Ryan who was very pleasant, and wanted to help because I had not bought a car in a long time, being a woman I didn't know what to do. He said he would set me up with a good salesman, and to my surprise he did. Stephen was very helpful, not pushy or rude, or try to get me to buy something I could not afford, or even didn't want. I ended up leasing a Corolla, he talked me through the whole process. It was the best choice for my situation. Showed me around the facility and introduced me to everyone available who worked there. New Years Eve, I called to repair a headlight, they got me in, replaced my tires, fixed a leaky water pump, replaced light bulbs and fixed two recalls. Over and above board was my service, when most people would have said sorry, it's new years eve, and they were closing down. Friendly, quality service and I can't express how wonderful it was to get excellent service at that time, when I live out of state. I do come through about 4 times a year, and I can assure you that Toyota of Batavia will be taking care of all my future needs, as I can trust them to fix as well as look over my vehicle for issues. Thank you so much you guys for taking care of me in a sticky situation.

I purchased my Prius from this dealer and it was time for the oil change and to mount my winter tires, removing the rims from the summer tires. I anticipated a long wait, bringing the News and a book. The Customer Wait area is comfortable, attractive, and wonderful! Keurig coffee maker and hot chocolate too! In 45 minutes my car was DONE and I was on my way. They are always friendly and take the time to listen to my questions.

Had a great buying experience. However, will NOT go back for service. I picked up my car on a Thursday, only to have to take it back Friday for a light. They were going to order the part and fix a couple more problems when I brought it back the following week. I dropped it off the next Thursday, and picked it up Friday, only to find they didn't fix the original problem AND they added more than 40 miles to my car! I live in Buffalo, so this was completely unacceptable. I will NEVER return to the Upstate Auto Group for service.

At 7:00 a.m. on 4/25/12 I was all packed and ready to drive the 4 1/2 hours back to my home. Prius started but wouldn't go into any gear or even shut off. Called road service. Scared to get on the road if the car should do the same thing if I shut it off, so took it to the dealership. Not only did they fix that problem, but discovered 2 recalls I had never known existed; they fixed one and ordered part for the other. While this was going on they provided me a ride to and from the hospital so I could stay with a sick friend. The part came in and another appt.was set up for Tues. 5/1/12. My friend had passed away and now they provided me with a loaner car so I could go to funeral parlor and take care of other necessary arrangements. What could have been a real nightmare turned into a very positive experience. I am so grateful; I couldn't have asked for better service or such personal attention. Sincerely, Becki Bateman P.S. This is my first experience with Toyota of Batavia, which is a division of the local "Upstate Auto Group" named car dealerships. I first contacted this dealer by phone to inquire about a truck which they had advertised a few days earlier in the local newspaper. My questions were answered immediately and cheerfully, and with that first impression I decided to drive up to the dealership to have a look. Upon arriving I was able to quickly locate the salesman who had assisted me earlier by phone, Joe Furlong. Joe was very friendly and welcoming, and eager to help. ( I'd like to add that ALL the associates that I came into near proximity of took the time to greet me and offer assistance, even though a large number of customers already occupied the showroom!) Joe's attentiveness, knowledge, and down-to-earth demeanor put me in a very relaxed, comfortable state of mind- exactly what you need when buying a vehicle! After a pleasant test drive with Joe, (he rode along at my request) we sat down and within just minutes struck a deal that put me behind the wheel of a high quality pre-owned truck at a fantastic price. Just after closing the deal, the Sales Manager himself came out to shake hands and thank me for my purchase! - Ive never had that pleasure at any other dealership! My truck was ready when promised, gleaming from bumper to bumper, with Joe my salesman right there making sure I was 100% happy and to see me off down the road. This has been by far the most enjoyable car buying experience I've ever had. I absolutely recommend Toyota of Batavia- they've MORE than earned my business now and in the future. Didn't buy here, but they've serviced my Toyota prius for over 125,000 miles, and still going strong. I work nearby and they're always ready to give me a ride to work when dropping off the vehicle for service.

I shopped around 4 dealers looking for the best price both off MSRP and trade in value and Batavia beat the others hands down. The best part of the experience was that there was no pressure. I brought my car in for an oil change and a simple car wash, vacuum carpets and wash windows. When I picked my car up, the bill was $114. I was shocked that I was being charged $80 for the car wash. After complaining, it was removed from my bill. You should have explained the costs before doing the work. Thank you for not charging me the outrageous price for washing my car.

As always service was prompt and well done. I forgot to take my coupon and they gave the price anyway and reminded me since I bought my tires there I didn't have to pay for rotation. They are always very pleasant and helpful. I would recommend them as a dealership.

Received appointment time choice. Manager had notified service dept. of relevant information. Questions were clearly answered and car was serviced promptly by friendly, helpful personnel. The spacious waiting area had fresh coffee, big screen TV, current newspaper. Very pleased with new tires!

Service - have a 2009 Highlander which I had in for service. Needed several things done -which were done. They also noted something that could wait for now but should be addressed in the next 5000 mile checkup. Jim is very personable and a pleasure to work with. Service was done at the time I needed it. Shopping for new - I go to this dealership because of the continued excellent service I have received over the years. Bob Sigl does a good job with presentation and being there when you can be there. I am always satisfied with service and sales when I visit Upstate Toyota. I was there for state inspection and to have a recall looked at.
