I have been a proud owner of a pre owned and certified 2012 Rav4 bought at Toyota of Bowie. The buying/financing experience was excellent and the business gained my respect and appreciation. However, after my first service 3 months later, I was told that the original battery needed to be replaced. The battery would have been covered under warranty within the first month but was not any more. I felt that this issue should have been detected and taken care of during the certification process of the vehicle, but I was not able to resolve the problem at the time and vented my frustration at the service-experience-survey. A couple of days later I was called by Customer Relations Manager Ms. Charliene Gouker. She showed great empathy after hearing my story and within an hour called me back and offered me to not only replace the battery but on top of it offered me 2 free oil changes and tire rotations. Needles to say that I was absolutely thrilled about the way she came though for me at her shop and has made me a permanent customer of Toyota's service center. Thank you Ms. Charliene

I have to say that James was awesome in helping us choose our vehicle. I've been driving Hondas for the last 20 years, so his approach made me a converter. I like his sincerity and honesty as well. Even Marcus (finance) is definitely worth mentioning too. Before I took my vehicle off the lot, Eric Hood went over all the features without any hesitation and explained everything to my comfort level. Overall experience was unbelievable and unremarkable including the sales managers!

I was so happy to have found the car of my dreams. It was exactly what I wanted. I was given a price if I bought it that day. I agreed and spent the next 3 hours signing paperwork. I wrote more but chose to delete it.

I've visited Toyota of Bowie three times over the past few months while researching what I wanted to buy. Each time, I have a very positive experience. The staff is friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and truly show the customers that they care. I was never rushed, hassled, or pressured. James Braxton was very helpful and patient with me during my first two visits and understood that I was not ready to make a purchase. This past Friday, Kevon Brooks found the perfect car for my family. When it came time to talk numbers, they gave me a very fair price. James did it again...This is the second vehicle my family has purchased through James in the past couple of months. This is my third time buying a vehicle (first two is from different dealership) and by far the BEST purchase i have ever made all because of one person who made it all happened, Mr. James Braxton. It takes time to go thru the process of buying a car especially if you are financing it. My/our experience with this dealership was commendable. The salesman, exceptional as well as the finance department. Very big help in getting the payment where we were comfortable. Would most certainly recommend this dealership when looking for a new Toyota. Reasonable people.

My husband and I couldn't be more pleased by the car buying experience at this dealership. We received an amazing deal and James Braxton was the best! If I could give him more than 5 stars I would. I rate buying a car the same as getting a root canal, but this is one of the exceptions. They honored our online price and we got just the car we wanted and more. Great experience!

My first experience shopping at the dealership was not pleasant to me or my spouse. I was referred to Jose Redd, but at the time he wasn't available. Afterward Mr. Redd learned about my experience and what happened and called us personally. He made everything that was wrong with my first experience RIGHT!!. I am not conveying in this review the other staff are not attentive and respectful, but I am saying Jose's attention to detail, listening to the customer and there needs, and lastly he keeps his word. Customer experience like that is very very rare. I don't write many reviews, probably because poor customer service has become the norm and we've got used too it. I hope management gets this...a reasonable customer will not be unreasonable or difficult if they are respected, there business needs are met, and their experience is eventful and stands out. Even if they don't buy your product, that customer will still be walking advertisement for your business. But the reason for the four star rating is because at Toyota of Bowie Jose Redd is a star worth doing business with. M. Dyer

I bought a car here and the process was an ordeal. This dealership requested the down payment in the form of a cashier's check. They didn't properly receipt it when I gave them the check (in the amount of about $13,000), lost it and admitted negligence, then put the pressure on me to fix it and try to get them another check. They eventually did find the check and told me they would do something to make it up to me. They are yet to do something and are still acting in their best interests.

I walked into the doors of Toyota of Bowie feeling very "uneasy". I knew that prior to walking through those doors, my past deal put me in a terrible situation. I wasn't sure that they would be able to help me. Within moments of sitting in the presence of Mr. Jose Redd, i felt all of that "uneasiness" disappear. He assured me that he would help me to get out of the situation and into a Toyota. The entire team worked extremely hard to make it happen, and they did JUST that. I drove off the lot in my 2017 Camry last night and today i feel like a burden has been lifted. I'm so very grateful for the Personal and Professional service that was provided to me at Toyota of Bowie.

If you come to the right sales person, Toyota of Bowie could be the best car buying experience you have ever had--that was true for us because we worked with Jose Redd. I went into the dealer not in need of a new car but wanted to get out of my truck into something that rides a little smoother. This experience was much better than my first at the dealer. Not one time did I feel any pressure and my sales rep was very helpful and upfront throughout the entire process. Jose was great as my sales rep and Francis was amazing as always in finance even though I was killing him throughout the process. Thank you guys for making this another positive experience. See you in about three years unless I change my mind in 6 months........Just kidding.

This was my first time purchasing a Toyota. When I arrived I was greeted prior to entering the building, by Jason Roberts. He was so kind and willing to help. However, I did inform him that prior to arriving I had spoke to someone else. Jason took my information and informed me that I spoke to Lorne Goree, so they both helped me and they were nice. However, I did spent more time working with Jason and boy you talk about customer service, he really knows the definition. If you are looking for someone to education others on customer service Jason is your guy. Toward the end Jason gave me his card and told me I can contact him for any reason and he turned me back over to Lorne Goree who finished me up and gave me his card and told me to contact anytime as well. Two good gentlemen I felt truly blessed. Even the used car manager Ken, the service person Leon, and the finance manage Francis were all nice as well. My experience with Toyota made me feel as though I was amongst family. They really know how to run a business and take care of their customers. If you need a vehicle run not walk to Toyota and ask for Jason and I bet your vehicle hunting experience will never be the same. Also by the way I purchased a used SUV and I love it.

I had a hard time choosing a dealership online, but finally picked this one. I am very satisfied with my entire experience. I was really nervous driving up, in my...older vehicle...thinking whoever saw me get out of it, would peg me for a first time buyer and take advantage. however, James Braxton Jr., pleasantly explained everything to me in great detail, sometimes, a few times over. I needed clarity on a few things and he happily worded the explanation so I could understand. I felt quit confident in my knowledge by the end. I would recommend his sales ability and the dealership all together. Everyone I spoke with was friendly and understanding. The bathroom was clean, and I felt taken care of.

I'm very nieve when it comes to car dealerships and cars in general. Though I had my husband with me he knew I wanted to do this on my own. Mr.Redd was so kind to explain everything step by step without making me feel inferior. He made me feel so comfortable from the beginning by talking to me directly and in a manor that was relaxed and respectful. I've spoken to many woman who hate the process of dealing with men in the car field because of their manor toward women in general. I will say this as a woman and to women, I would highly recommend this gentleman because of his respect, kindness and love of family. This is the type of salesman that gives them a better reputation. After several emails and phone calls to have them mail me the license plates and waiting a few weeks, I gave up and drove the 30 miles to get them. Except for the last phone call, all said there should not be a problem with mailing me the plates, even the receptionist was surprised that the plates were not mailed. This suggests that once the sale is made, their interest dwindles.

Recently we brought a new Highlander limited platinum model. Went to the dealership a few times to look at the vehicle. We worked with Jose Redd who was professional, honest ,and had outstanding customer service. He made the process very smooth and beat out two other dealerships on purchase price. We told him what we wanted how much we wanted to pay and he worked hard to make the deal happen. Once the decision was made and the paperwork signed we were in and out. Although the dealership was busy everyone was courteous and customer focused.

I bought my 2012 Prius at this dealer and returned to look at the 2016 Prius as I was pleased with the dealership the first time around. I admit that I am not the easiest customer...I expect excellent service when spending a large amount of money and do not like to waste time or the dealership's time. Being a woman, I have had some very negative experiences with car salesman and dealerships. This time I was lucky to be connected with James Braxton who was everything that one looks for in a salesman - courteous, responsive, and willing to go the extra mile I felt like he was looking out for me. He understood that I wanted a particular Prius package, color and interior. He did not try to talk me into something else just because they did not have what I wanted in stock. He went to the Eastern Shore to pick up the car that I wanted. The finance department and the aftermarket department were much improved over my 2012 visit although I must admit that I was frustrated when I called the dealership a week or so later and got voice mail. I then called James' cell and he follow up on my behalf.

Our salesman James Braxton Jr. was informative, polite, and most importantly "no pressure". Only negative was that after agreeing to purchase the vehicle the "sale's paperwork process" took nearly three hours to complete due to the large volume of customers. Otherwise it was a 5-star visit. We'll definitely ask for James in the future.

Recently my husband and I were "forced" to purchase a vehicle due to his Prius being totaled in an accident. We both dreaded the process of looking/purchasing a new car but knew it had to be done. Living in Bowie, our first choice was to visit Toyota of Bowie. I am on my 6th Toyota and the Prius was my husband's first (which he loved). While walking around the new car lot, Jose approached us and ask if we needed help. With his kind face and friendly manner I immediately liked him. I instantly felt we were in the right hands. We did not want another Pruius due to the accident and shared this with Jose. His knowledge, professionalism, and sympathy to my husband's pain made me immediately trust him. He gave us all the options of bigger cars available and explained in detail the pros and cons of each vehicle. We were in the right hands and left the "driving" to Jose. We walked away with a new 4Runner and couldn't be happier with our experience. My trust in Jose was verified and I would recommend him to anyone in the market for a new vehicle. He was honest, direct, helpful and we loved his sense of humor. He gently guided us through every step and made sure we were informed of all going on. He made every effort to speed the process since my husband was still uncomfortable. He made a bad and dreaded situation into an easy and good experience. Thank you Jose for this. My wife and I bought the Subject Toyota at the Bowie Toyota Store on 8/4/16, and finalized the deal the next day. We traded in two cars, one the first day, and one the next. The deal we made, I thought, was fair and without drama. This is the second Toyota we bought at Bowie, and we will continue to return when we want a new Toyota.Our salesman, Jose Redd, was friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. Jose always returned our calls promptly (we did a lot of up-front work over the phone). Jose was a joy to work with and my wife and I recommend him without reservation.

As a Small Business owner my schedule is unpredictable and my time has been very limited. I had spoken with James Braxton aprox. a month prior and expressed my interest in purchasing a 2016 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport, he assured me he would do his absolute best in finding and selling me a truck but would not be "pushy" and not harass me, to let him know when I was ready. I sent him a message late in the evening with the exact specs on the truck I wanted to purchase, he immediately responded and the very next day he found "my truck"! We later had several conversations going over details, he gave me the date when he was picking up the truck and made it happen! He was a pleasure to deal with and will certainly send referrals.

We were in the market to purchase a new mid-sized sedan. Up front we let Jose Redd know this, as he was our salesman through the process. Even though they were aware that we wanted to test drive other vehicles from other dealerships, we were still handled with a great level of customer service. Jose explained and went through both the Camry and the Corolla that we were looking at, and set us up to test drive. We were able to leave with no hassle to check out the other vehicles in mind. However, because of the high level of customer service (and dependability and longevity of Toyota), we decided out of the three locations total that we went to, to come back to Toyota of Bowie and purchase a Camry. Jose was fantastic! Tim White also was great in handling our trade-in, as well as the lady who assisted us through financing.

STILL NO DEAL Mr. Patterson of Toyota of Bowie and Scion of Bowies, Saleman of the year Mr. Chima Chimuma, Louis Costillo, and General Manager Hess Darvish I am very impressed that you must have the best Manager and Deal maker, money can buy working for you. I am not a financial expert just a loyal Toyota customer, having a history with this dealership from 2009 to 2015, having financing a car for just about every year. My wish was to make a deal to buy a car from your dealership. For a year or two be financed by Toyota financial, at a high percent rate. I am having finance arranging made for a new 2017or 2016 financed thru Capitol One Navigator, whom financed the 2015 which is in the best condition 19,400, having an offer for my 2015 trade in that I bought from Toyota of Bowie, that didnt cut the deal. Still no deal, after sitting in the fine showroom of Toyota of Bowie for three hours, again no deal being a loyal customer since 2009, still no deal Still no deal, three hour in the showroom, with three guys who sales call car every day for a living. being toldyou matter but, still no deal 7 years of great service gone down the drain. It is a sign of Corporate America Control, what have car buying come. Oh bought a car during the hard sale years of recalls, and term dont buy foreign buy American.

My wife and I were greeted immediately and professionally by Mr. Braxton. He took our needs seriously and listened to us. "That's important!"He respected our time and found the car we wanted at the price that we needed to be, all within about an hour. I had done extensive research on what car I wanted to buy and for how much. I had also talked previously to a few dealers and already knew the language and some of the pitfalls, and was really looking for someone who'd be straight and honest. Not easy in this business, is what I thought. I decided to email all dealers in the vicinity a brief email stating what I want. I wrote at least 15 emails. James was the first to call. He had read the email and addressed all its points. He was straight and when he knew what I wanted, he was open and very efficient. I talked to a few other dealers again but nobody was as trustworthy as James, and most importantly, nobody offered the price and package, no hidden costs, that James offered. I don't regret the commitment one little bit. And one more thing...I was flying in from overseas and had no one to pick me up. We had already agreed on a deal so James had nothing more to gain. Even so, James offered to pick me and my daughter up from the airport, more than 1 hour away, brought me to the dealership and helped me pick up the car. Now I know where I am getting our next family car, even though James' Toyota is far and I have many closer places.

I went to trade in my 2015 Camry and I have to say this is a great dealership who have great sale people, one of them being James Braxton. He was very upfront and honest when it came to my trade in. James Braxton came highly recommended to me by a friend who had a wonderful experiences buying their 4Runner and Hybrid RAV4 from him. I can see why! He was as friendly, knowledgeable, and professional as I had heard. I have bought/leased 3 other vehicles from Toyota Bowie and have always had good service, and James met and exceeded my expectations. I knew exactly what I wanted, a Hybrid RAV4 in magnetic gray, and he led me to the exact car, fresh off the truck. He explained all the features from under the hood to the exterior, to the interior. He made himself available to any further assistance I might need. Knowing I am easily fatigued from chemotherapy, he was sensitive to how I was doing and offered me snacks and drinks, and allowed me to split the sale between 2 days so I wouldn't have to sit and wait for all the paperwork to be done. I will definitely recommend him to my friends, as well as Toyota Bowie for their always excellent car buying experience.

Found the car I was interested in, but wanted to test drive two different models. They had both models ready to go when I arrived. After the test drive I decided on a Highlander as it was a better handling vehicle than the 4Runner. They did not have the color I wanted in the building, but they were able to snag one at another dealership in Virginia. I then had to wait a few days for delivery and they delivered to my house. I could not be happier with the service from these guys. I did all of this with a one and a half year old by my side. They were quick and courteous. Thanks to the guys and gals at Toyota of Bowie

I have to admit before coming to Toyota of Bowie I've always had a distaste for car salesman. But after purchasing my RAV4 with the help of James I can honestly say I have a new perspective. From the minute I stepped foot in the door James showed us nothing but respect and honesty. He didn't play any games and was a straight shooter, it's hard not to respect a man like that, let alone a car salesman. I was particular in the car I wanted and James did not hesitate to make the extra effort and to personally pick up my desired vehicle from another dealer. He made himself available at all hours and even humored me throughout the process. He was gracious in giving his expert advice and insight throughout my decision. Even though he admitted to personally driving a Prius I didn't hold it against him ??I would highly recommend Toyota of Bowie and especially James to anyone and everyone. My salesperson was Jose Red and I had the best car buying experience I think one can have. I walked into the dealership without much knowledge on what kind of Toyota to buy, and only the fact that I needed something reliable. Right away Jose started guiding me down the path that fit my needs and we settled on looking at the 2016 Corolla in-depth. He was very knowledgeable about the features and the Toyota line in general, but more than that he was a salesperson that made me feel like I wasn't just dealing with another salesperson. He was personable, likeable, empathetic, and genuinely wanted to help me in my situation. This being my first time buying a new car I'm glad that Jose was the one to help me with this decision. I don't think any other car buying experience will be this great.

I gave a rating of 3 stars because the service I've received on my car has been excellent. However, the waiting period is ridiculous. I've been to Toyota of Bowie three times in less than two years, and I sit for hours waiting for an oil change. The last time I was there for an oil change, I waited three hours.

I am a fan of the Toyota Prius as I have a 2011 and it is hands down the best car that I have ever purchased. While I purchased it at the Rockville dealership I live in Bowie and have had all my service performed at the Bowie dealership. The service has been outstanding and I decided the next car I bought would be a 2016 Prius and I would give the Bowie dealership a try. Prior to purchasing my new Prius I shopped at both Annapolis and Frederick Md. After checking prices and availability at these 2 dealerships I visited the Bowie dealership and found them to not only have the best prices but the most amicable and understanding sales team. In particular I found Tom Green to be a pleasure to work with, as I was quite particular as to how I wanted my new Prius equipped. I had done my research as to the options that I wanted on my new car and I knew before I went to the dealership exactly what I did and did not want. Mr. Green said that he appreciated it when a customer has done his research and knows exactly what he or she wants. After an area wide search of available vehicles indicated that none matched my specifications, Tom saw to it that a custom order was placed for a new Prius matching my specifications. I was told that it would take anywhere from 1.5-2.0 months to get the vehicle and that he would keep me posted as to its production and shipping schedule. I am pleased to say that not only did he follow through and keep me posted, but that I took delivery of the vehicle within 5 weeks of my order. He also saw to it that all the embellishments (post production accessories) were installed as per our agreement. Mr. James Braxton also gave me his personal phone number in the event that I couldn't reach Tom and had any questions. This experience, coupled with my 5 years of outstanding service at Toyota of Bowie, convinced me that this is one "Outstanding Toyota Dealership". Richard Yarian

I had the pleasure of dealing with Mr. Braxton on Monday, March 21, 2016. I had spoken to him previously on the phone before visiting the dealership so he knew exactly what I was looking for. Mr. Braxton met me at the door with a firm handshake and a wide smile. He told me that he did not have the color I was looking for on the lot but he located what I was looking for at a nearby dealership. At that point, Mr. Braxton took me to the service bay where he had the same model of car (different color) available and ready to show me all of the features, bells, and whistles the car had. He answered all of my questions and, in doing so, he demonstrated he "knows his stuff". After we finished with the demonstration, we went for a test drive and returned to the dealership. Mr. Braxton took me for a meeting with the Customer Relations employee and then he left to get my car. At no point during this visit was there any hesitation on the part of the dealership in honoring the price quotes that I came in, From the very first moment, it was a pleasure dealing with Mr. Braxton. He is a very personable man who is very down-to-earth and honest. He is definitely a credit to his profession and he makes all car salesman proud to have him in their midst. On March 18, 2016 I visited Toyota of Bowie in search of a new SUV. I drive a fleet vehicle for work, and recently received a 2016 Toyota Camry Hybrid. It's a great car, I really like it. But it was delivered (from a different dealer) with no floor mats. Two other local Toyota dealerships refused to help me obtain floor mats, saying that they did not want to deal with a fleet vehicle. However, Brian Cunningham at Toyota of Bowie came through for me. He ordered the floor mats for me and was very helpful and patient with the somewhat complicated payment process through the fleet representative on the phone. Brian is a star! My sales reps were James Braxton and Tim White. They were amazing and very helpful and continue to be the weeks following. I have stopped by several times for help since I'm not so great with technology and they always greeted me with a friendly smile and called me by name. My husband and I had to take our 2 small children with us to the dealership for the long car shopping experience. Both gentleman were great with my three year old son and brought him toys and snacks to keep him occupied. Overall the experience at Toyota of Bowie was wonderful and I can't say enough great things.

Chima Joe is a great representative of Toyota. I wish more salesmen were like him. He wasn't pushy, he was honest & I felt comfortable.

I had a great experience from start to finish. I had to buy a car as a result of an accident so I was an "un-enthused buyer". However, now I am really happy with my car. Because I didn't have time and energy, I wanted things quick and simple so decided to use my company's True Value car buying service. With car and price in hand I contacted Bowie Toyota. The last time I used an auto buying service (COSTCO) the dealer attempted to switch everything all up so I could not stick with the price. That was not so with Bowie. they even added extra credits on their deal above what other dealers were adding so truly were the best price. Tim White was excellent. He showed me cars consistent with the True Value estimate. He did manage to interest me in the safety features so I added one option and it was the right choice. Financing was simple and quick. The dealer did attempt to have me purchase all the extras at the end (e.g., undercoating, extended warranties) and I did feel the prices were pretty high for each but they did not oversell when I gave my answer.

After visiting several Toyota dealerships in the Baltimore area, I saw the car I wanted in Bowie. Unfortunately, when I arrived, Mr. Brooks, my salesman explained that the car was sold, but told me he would find another for me. We found the car at another dealership and settled on a price. When I arrived to pickup my new car 2 days later, Mr. Brooks explained that he had to send for sent a different car b/c the one I was to get was not available any longer. Although the replacement car had additional trim on it, Mr. Brooks did the right thing and stuck to the price we had agreed upon.You will receive a totally honest deal from this Christian man who sticks to his principles of honesty and integrity. He will not let you down. I am late posting this, but bought my car in late July.

I have been meaning to write this thank you to Wayne Lopez since Christmas Eve. My navigating system in my car would not work and I had to take my 2 dogs to a new kennel in Columbia before I left town. I tried not to panic and I immediately drove to the new car section of Toyota. They were of no help. I drove over to the service dept. and the lady service representative was definitely no help and acted like she did not want to be bothered. Then I saw Wayne. Even though he was extremely busy and people were anxious to get on the road for the holiday, he systematically explained what to do. Immediately, the problem was solved and I was on the road to enjoy my family and the holiday. Thank you for having Service Representatives like Wayne Lopez. He is one of the reasons why I have purchased a new 2016 RAV4 at your dealership.

I purchased a Toyota Camry XLE in December from Toyota of Bowie and I could go on and on about the positive, seamless and professional experience I had! Well, there are two good reasons that I will be a Lifetime Customer of Toyota of Bowie... that is my WONDERFUL Sales Rep James Braxton and the price on my carTHERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO HAGGLING!! When I arrived fighting and screaming (paid off Vehicle was totaled in an accident) but needing a new car, I was approached by James Braxton. He listened to me, and then assisted me with looking through the entire inventory on the lot but not finding what I preferred. So after further research, he located the vehicle I wanted in another state and made sure I GOT THAT CAR!! To ensure there would be no delays in delivery he drove himself the following day and picked the vehicle up sacrificing his time away from the dealership on the last day of the yearyes December 31st!! (A CRITICAL SELLING DAY). To END everything on a great notehis follow-up was so impressive and he made sure that I had all the bells and whistles I was promised on the contract without any hassle. I will forever be grateful to him for my car buying experience and my BEAUTIFUL NEW CAR!! Lastly, I am sending all of my family and friends to this dealership to see Mr. Braxton! I went in to the Bowie location in October 2015 with an online guaranteed quote that I called in ahead and confirmed with Mr. Braxton for the make and model car I wanted. But when I arrived everything changed, even the car!. I was very specific with what car I was interested in and the price quote I had. A few hundred dollar difference is of acceptable but finally price he was giving me was way off. Finally when car price was settled, I went to after market and got additional under coat protection--turns out cars automatically come with this but I was not informed that this was not really necessary. I also purchase the alarm system and was told the warranty info would be provided once service is complete. I went back to pick up car and it was not available, was told it would be mailed and it wasn't. Reminded them when I returned to pick up tags and finally got warranty info, but then a new problem arose...the tags were not the "MD- Chesapeake Bay" tags I specifically requested and paid additional for. So then I had to argue so they can mail the tags to my home which is not nearby because it was their mistake. And I was promised all-weather mats which were supposedly order but not available or missing when I tried to pick up in parts. I was told they would be mailed after complaining and I have yet to receive them and it already January! I don't plan to return for service at all. I would have made the drive out to Bowie from Washington for car maintenance if the service had been better but it was the absolute worse I have ever experienced and I regret not going somewhere else to do business.

I must say God is amazing!!!!!!Jose Redd helped anchor me towards making the best decision I could make in 2015!!!! His customer service was excellent. Jose payed close attention to my needs and because he listened to me as a customer he was able to assit me so well with my purchase of the Toyota Rav 4 2015. Jose was very professional and descriptive when showing me the car. He showed me the interior/exterior of the car and knew all the details of the car, he must of studied about the car because he was able to answer any questions I may have had before I even asked them ha ha. I was very pleased with the whole experience, its a story I will tell my future children. Jose made sure I would walk out happy with the car I came to get!!! Jose Redd and his associate Dee Oni were wonderful, I started shopping for a car for the first time in over 9 years this fall, I purchased a 2016 Toyota Corolla S Plus. The design inside and out is even better than models from previous years. They took time to fully show and explain Toyota's vehicles to me including the one I decided to buy. Compared to some lots I have visited, I was happy that they took the time to thoroughly show me the model first, inside and out, including under the hood with plenty of helpful information including a nice test drive. When you are car shopping you want to see cars, not talk about contact info, prices or paperwork until later. They were not pushy and very friendly, they worked with me for hours to negotiate a good deal. I felt encouraged to drive away with a car that had all the options I wanted at a price I can afford.

We arrived late in the day within an hour of closing when we met Jose Redd. We have purchased at least 6 new vehicles in last 10 years and never dealt with such a great salesman. Jose took the time to pull the vehicle we were considering purchasing inside to get out of the cold weather. Jose then did a presentation for us before a test drive explaining all the features on the vehicle. Jose was the most knowledgeable salesman we have ever dealt with and has taken the time to know the product he is selling. We returned from the test drive ten minutes before the dealership was supposed to close however, at no point were we rushed. Jose was enjoyable to deal with and was great in dealing with kids as well. Everyone we dealt with at the dealership was very helpful and friendly. Happy owner of new Toyota Camry. Very greedy staff, looking to ripoff peoples money. Our family bought 6 vehicles in the past 10 years. The last vehicles price was higher than expected. Service is also terrible. Two hours for an oil change I mean come on. After explaining to the service manager Lorrine Coleman-Ross, she gave an attitude like she did not even care. I really suggest you guys train your staff how to behave and up your service time. I don't think this is a good place to buy or to get serviced. BUT IF YOU STILL WANT TO TAKE THE RISK GO FOR IT...

But, as we were admiring it, James Braxton walked up, introduced himself and quietly gave us the attention that best suited us. We never felt pressured nor rushed. On July 10th 2015 I decided to Look into purchasing a new vehicle and trade in my current vehicle. I was referred to Toyota of Bowie to make my possible next car purchase. I will say I was reluctant/apprehensive but decided to give it a try. I've always had the feeling that "sales reps" were just trying to get there next sale. However when I arrived at the dealership I was introduced to Mr. Jason Roberts a (sales representative) who actually changed my opinion. Mr. Roberts listened to what I had to present and represented himself and the dealership in a very positive way. Mr. Roberts knowledge of the various models of Toyotas and his professional disposition was unprecedented. I'm a Military Veteran an not easily impressed but Mr. Roberts worked with me and now I'm the new owner of a 2015 Toyota Camry. Mr. Roberts I salute you sir on a job well done. Okay so Im a loyal Honda owner. I loved my 2012 Pilot, though unfortunately I was not impressed with the 2016 re-design. I was in the market for a new car and my brother encouraged me to test drive a Toyota Highlander. I admit that I was very skeptical and quite frankly tired of test driving vehicles. That is until I was introduced to James Braxton. I have to admit that this was a car buying experience unlike any other that I have experienced in the past. James was able to offer very accurate and detailed information about the Toyota Highlander. Additionally, he was very professional and patient with me throughout my multitude of questions! He went above and beyond to find me the Toyota Highlander that I really wanted. I gave him my desired color scheme and he was able to locate, obtain and hand the keys to my new Highlander over to me within 48 hours. I am now a Toyota owner! Thanks so much James! Lori Taylor in Customer Relations was wonderful as well. She really took her time to explain all of the options and the benefits of each option. She even went as far to show us the options on her own POV. Sergio Ramos Lopez in the Finance department was very personable and professional as well. He really explained all of the options concerning extra warranties and helped us to find a plan that was the perfect fit for our driving habits. Overall, this was a very pleasant car buying experience! I will be a repeat customer!

I have experienced a problem with the driver's side window of my RAV4 since I purchased it from Toyota of Bowie in Dec. 2014 and complained about it to them since the first time I took the vehicle to their service dept. for routine maintenance. I explained that it occurs infrequently, but when it does, it will go up and down non-stop and the only way to make it finally stop is to keep clicking on the lever for a long period of time. I also explained that it has a mind of its own, so to try and make it duplicate the problem on demand, would probably be impossible. They informed me, "unless we can replicate the problem, Toyota will not fix it under warranty". So, almost two years later, I am still experiencing the same sporadic issue, and they refuse to try and resolve the problem. Toyota of Bowie was quick to sell me a vehicle, but they are reluctant to stand behind their products or their service. When I drafted this rating and they were given an opportunity to rebut, they offered me nothing but their original position - "if we can't replicate, we will not repair". In addition, they are now misrepresenting the facts.This is the fifth Toyota vehicle I have owned, and I have NEVER experienced this lack of integrity and professionalism from any other dealership except Toyota of Bowie. I will not make the mistake of purchasing any additional vehicles from them in the future, and I would suggest to anyone thinking about doing so or taking their vehicle to them for servicing, to proceed cautiously.

I was not planning to buy the truck on that day but the Excellency of Mr. James Braxton as a sales man make me decided to do it.It was the most pleasant experience I have had buying a new car. Went in with my certificate, they honored it, found exactly what i wanted. In stock. Jason was who I saw saw first, very casual and professional. Showed me what I wanted and we drew up the purchase order and was on my way to see Leo the finance person. The whole process took only three hours. Been driving over 40 years and buying automobiles and this is the fastest I have ever completed a deal. There was no pressure, no parade of managers and no pressure to buy any after market products. And I was very happy with my 2015 Camry, even took it home with me. My compliments to Jason and Leo who made this process painless. Would recommend Toyota of Bowie to everyone!

I went to Bowie Toyota. I was greeted by Mr. Jose Redd, Salesman. I told him I wanted a Venza. I found the Venza I wanted on the lot. He answered all my questions. Mr. Reed explained thoroughly everything that I needed to know about this car from under the hood, outside, inside, top to back areas of this car. I was very impressed with his knowledge, manner, friendly and his interest and desire for good customer service. He is a shinning Star Salesman. I never in my life ever brought a car that fast before. I received an excellent trade in value and quick deal on my Venza with no hazzle. I drive with pride, styling in my new Venza! Salesman Jose Redd was very hospitable, courteous and diligent. He received us well in the 3 days our process took. He patiently showed my wife and i different vehicles as we tpondered decision making. He made sure we got the vehicle - color, brand and most of the contents - we wanted. He kept communicating with us after our first visit to keep us informed as we waited for the arrival of the right vehicle. While we were closing out on the paper work with finance, he went over to Service dept and pick up our other vehicle that was serviced. He took time to show us the features of the vehicle more than any other Salesperson has ever done.

It was a pleasure working with James Braxton. He is very knowledgeable on the specifics of each vehicle. There was no "sales" pressure, but rather his approach is to inform on the vehicle and be transparent on the pricing when negotiating the deal. I rated my overall experience at Toyota of Bowie excellent because I never imagined I would receive the level of service that was displayed. My salesman, Jose Redd, was very personable, involved, understanding, knowledgeable and realistic while dealing with me. I'm a person that over the years has really ruined my credit. Jose and the Toyota of Bowie team really made me feel comfortable despite my credit woes. They were willing to take a chance on me and give me an opportunity to establish credit with them. I had been searching for a 2015 4Runner that I had built and priced online at the Toyota website. Toyota of Bowie had a vehicle in stock that was close to having all of the options I wanted except a few accessories which after visiting a few other dealerships, I found were dealer installed option such as mud flaps, running boards, a cargo cover and the remote start. After negotiating the deal, and signing many papers, one of which included the dealer installed options presented as a What we still owe you document. That document listed what I thought were the dealer installed options but actually read Aftermarket in front of each accessory. In this case, aftermarket meant for them, using aftermarket parts as opposed to dealer installed genuine Toyota parts. I tried afterwards to express my concern with them mostly relating to the remote starter. The other parts were a concern also but not as critical. Having non Toyota parts installed on a brand new vehicle to me was bit deceptive on their part. I guess they were trying to save money by having the remote starter installed somewhere other than their dealership and I still have no clue as to who the remote starter was made by, where it was installed, or any paperwork as to the warranty of the part and only a verbal guarantee that this is covered under the Toyota warranty for the life of the vehicle. As for repeat business, I would probably not shop here again, because the customer service is mediocre at best.

Had 20,000 mile maintenance service performed on my Toyota Highlander. Aaron Slaughter, who was my assigned Advisor was on top of my total service - start to finish. Customer care was AWESOME!. They were fantastic -- my salesperson Ricardo Walters in particular was exceptional. I got the car that I wanted, the price I wanted (based on extensive research), the trade in value I wanted, and they (Ricardo and Manager David Gruner) were very easy to work with. I'm definitely a difficult person, and I typically hate the whole process, but they made it easy, and not in a sales / tricky way. They were honest, helpful and knowledgeable. But what REALLY impressed me is when I had questions and came back after I had purchased the car, they were just as friendly and helpful, and really took care of me when they didn't need to. It's clear that Ricardo and Toyota of Bowie care about me as a customer, and want me to be happy with my purchase. As a result, they have a customer for life.

Our family purchased a 2015 Toyota Highlander from Toyota of Bowie (MD) in December 2014. Wed been looking online for about 6 months and decided that the Highlander would best fit our growing family and lifestyle. We looked at the Honda Odyssey, but decided to go with the Highlander since my wife couldnt bear to drive a mini-van. We decided to order a 2015 model so she could get the color and packages we wanted. ToB was where we decided to order our Highlander because of another friends recommendation. Harold Bautista was our sales assistant who ordered a 2015 Limited Sapphire Blue Pearl & Beige interior model with the technology package. Harold did a great job communicating where the vehicle was in the build process, which was really nice because we were extremely excited to get the car. It was 37 degrees when we came to pick it up. Harold had our car prepped and parked inside their enclosed garage with a big red bow, so we didnt have to sit in the cold while he reviewed the features. We stayed warm and our small children could run around while we learned about the cars capabilities and features. Harold was thorough and patient with our many questions while helping us set up my personal settings and synchronizations. We did buy the Toyota all included maintenance package (5 yrs / 75k miles) and Toyota Service Contract (8 yrs / 100k miles) and felt it was a great deal in the long run, which in fact will pay for itself. I drove home satisfied, pleased and positive with our whole purchasing and buying experience at ToB. Id highly recommend Toyota of Bowie and a Highlander to any family looking for an alternative to a Mini Van.

I bought a car and about a week later I realized there were a couple features I wanted that this vehicle didn't have. I figured there wasn't anything they would do about it but I took the long shot and called and asked for the general manager. They transferred me to the gm (Rick Barton) and I explained my situation and he asked me to come down and see him and that it was very important that his customers were happy. To my surprise and delight he not only switched me to the one I wanted that was a thousand dollars more he kept the price and payment the same as the less expensive one. Toyota of Bowie has restored my faith in good old fashion customer service.

I just wanted whoever is the supervisor of Mr. Aaron Slaughter should be proud of his professional service . . . . and he's a young man too. I was very impressed of his greeting and first response of asking can he help me with anything. I replied that the service guy I normally see if not in today. He said quickly with a professional and friendly attitude that he would take care of me in the absence of the guy I normally. relate with. Mr. Slaughter took care of me as if he known me for years. I think, if you offer it that he should be nominated as the Assistant Service Manager for the month. He made me feel extremely welcomed this morning. I've been coming to Toyota of Bowie for many years and just like the service, but it appeared special for some reason this morning. Perhaps because of Mr. Slaughter's customer service personality. It means a lot!!!! I will continue to have my car serviced here at all times. Thanks!!!!!!!

Not only did they lie about have loaner cars (not loaners, but rentals) making my wife have to walk 5 miles to the metro because of this, but they also misdiagnosed the car completely and tried to fight it even after another dealership assured them they were wrong. Then after having to chase them down to get a refund (I was assured I would be getting a call that day) two weeks later still no call. So I of course have to call them again and chase down the refund. So what do they offer as way to make up for all this mess? One oil change for free. HA!

I purchased a used Toyota Sienna from Toyota of Bowie. I later took it to my mechanic and they said the wiring harness had been spliced. Toyota told me splicing the harness is against their policy and they only replace the entire harness. Personally I would not recommend buying a vehicle from Toyota of Bowie. Find an establishment that will stand behind their products.

I scheduled my appointment over the phone, and I was impressed with the flexibility of this place...In past experience I've strayed from busy dealerships for the sake of my wallet and time. With the Bowie service dept-they make me feel comfortable with the work being performed and are usually pretty accurate with the time my car will be done. I have dealt with Miss Hennigan a couple times and each time she never falls short of meeting my expectations. She is patient and listens to my needs/concerns. Overall I love my Toyota and the Bowie service department, they keep me coming back!!

Under the Toyotacare program it was easy to schedule my 15,000 maintenance service which was at no charge. I was out within an hour and got a free car wash also, both inside and out! My service manager, Sharon, was very friendly and kind. She explained everything and got me out when she said she would. I have had nothing but a great experience with everyone I have worked with at the dealership since buying my first car from them a few years ago. I bought a second car this past November and continue to receive great service at Toyota of Bowie.

I reently purchased a new Prius from Toyota of Bowie, Everything about the purchase went really well. The staff is fantastic. My salesman was John Hawvrish took great care of me in locating the car I wanted and being patient while I learned how to drive the car. I had my previous car 14 years with no bells and whistles. This car is very upscale. The Sales Manager is Jim Kussman. He negiotated the price for my car and for my trade-in. He was great with all my requests and I am pleased with the deal I received. The General Manager is Rick Barton. He was available to assist wherever I needed it and did a great job. The Vice President is Randy Whalen. He was very accessible and pleasant to work with. The Customer Service Rep is Pat Cunningham. She took care of the final details so efficiently and got me on my way in my new car. All the employees are extrememly friendly and there is a great team work atmosphere there. I would recomment this dealership to anyone. Though I live in Annapolis where there is a Toyota dealership, I was happier to go a bit further to purchase my car in Bowie.

Sharon in the service department was great!! On what seemed to be a very busy day she told me she was booked for the day but if i did'nt mind waiting or if I could leave the vehicle she would work me in and at the latest my vehicle would be ready by 5:00. I decided to leave the vehicle Sharon called me way before 5:00 my vehicle was ready she re viewed my bill with me so when I got back to the service department all's I had to do was see the cashier. I would like to thank Sharon and her express team for working me in as fast as they did not only did they address my concern I came in for but they also performed a 33 point inspection / trip check which gave me peace of mind.as I was leaving for vacation the following week.

I had an appointment on Friday at 9:30am for our trucks routine oil change. When I arrived, I asked how long the service would take. I was told approximately 1.5 hours. Two hours and 45 minutes later, I walked over to service and asked how much longer I would have to wait. I was told they were behind and it could take another 10-15 minutes. He said they would also take it to get it washed. I said I don't want to wait any more and declined the car wash that day. I asked if he could find out how much longer because I don't want to spend a third of my day waiting in their dealership. I also asked that if it was going to be another hour before they are done if they could provide me a loaner car so I could at least run a couple errands. I was told they do not have any loaner cars available. He checked on the progress and the remaining time left and returned to tell me (10 minutes later) that it will be ready in about 10 minutes. While finishing up the paperwork, I asked if I could come back another day to have the car washed. He said he could do that but only on the days he works (Thursdays). At least I got that.

Well they managed to change my opinion of car salesman! I really had my guard up when I came in, and only wanted to look at the new Highlander without being bothered by anyone, since I do most of my research online and knew exactly what I wanted. After our first purchase a few years ago, we just traded up, and wow!, the place has been remodeled and looks 1000 times better! Much cleaner! They also were able to find our Avalon we wanted AND threw in a remote starter. No complaints from us, and we will let all our friends know about the royal treatment we received.

But I figured that if Uwone, Marcus, and Sergio went out of their way to make me a satisfied customer, then I could spend a few minutes giving them the credit they deserve. Uwone was my salesperson and found me a great car. I was open to make and model and he did a grey job narrowing it down for me. Marcus went above and beyond, to find me the best financial options. And Sergio capped it off with his superb professionalism while sealing the deal. I highly recommend this place. The 2011 Ford Fusion I bought from them is a great car. I bought my new Rav4 here and the sales man was beyond helpful. He helped me not only find a car I could afford but one that could keep up with me and all my heavy driving. He sat down with me the last time I was in and went over everything to help me find the right car. And even though I told him I was still going to look around he was very nice about it. Gave me his information and told me to call him when I was ready and that if needed he would even stay late to fit a time that met my schedule. So I remembered that when I was finally ready to buy! A few weeks ago I posted comments about this dealership .I would like to offer this retraction as a testament to this dealership Since that time I have been contacted by the owner and General manager.It is quite refreshing that these 2 individuals were more concerned with customer satisfaction than the great American dollar.They had me return the vehicle in question and furnished a new vehicle to match the specifications of the car I thought I had purchased.In these times a commitment of this kind is extremely hard to find. It was a great pleasure working with Steve Johnson and MichaelAngelo Payne at Toyota of Bowie. My last car buying experience a few years back was so awful at another dealership, I honestly was dreading going to any dealership to purchase a car. After my initial research on new cars, I decided on the Highlander. I had my mind set on purchasing a 2013 but could not pass up the great offer on a 2014. Steve and MichaelAngelo worked with me very professionally and discuss my options and made sure I understood everything. My experience with Toyota of Bowie was great.

Purchased a new car for my daughter. This was her first car buying experience (I put her a a co-owner), so she was nervous. The sales man, Mike, was very friendly, and took the time to explain the different features of each car my daughter was interested in. The staff was very helpful and we were able to negotiate a price within our budget. We purchased the 2014 Toyota Corolla and my daughter really loves the car. Great buying experience, and thanks Mike for your insight and help.

How refreshing to have a pleasing experience at a car dealership. I don't mind spending money on my car when I know it will lengthen the longevity of my cars life. I love my car and I love when someone treats it as well and I treat it. I also don't just let anyone handle my car repairs. I think your advisor Wayne Lopez is the best person I have ever dealt with in this capacity. He assures me the tech's that service my vehicle are the best there is. I believe him as he is genuinely trustworthy and real. I know this as I have had second opinions on the same service at different dealerships. Thanks for taking care of my car!

Mike and his manager tried to scam me on a new car sale. He told me to come to the dealer after we agreed on price and then changes the price when I arrived. He is rude and unprofessional and not a good sales person. This entire dealer is a scam

This was my first brand new car buying experience and I was extremely nervous at first, but soon was put at ease by my salesman John. He happened to be new so I felt very comfortable with him. I had tons of questions, and what he could not answer, he made sure someone did. The sales manager came out to answer some of the finance related ones, and soon they made me a deal I just couldn't pass up. I actually got a lower payment than what I had anticipated, so I am very happy about that. Then they spent a lot of time going over the features of my new Camry and I will most definitely go back when I am ready to repurchase. Highly recommend this place to anyone in the market for a new car. Thank you Toyota of Bowie!

I visited this dealership - three or four times. In the end I felt that I knew as much about my vehicle going in as they did. Right from the start I told them exactly what I wanted and what I was williing to pay. Time and again they tried to talk me out of more money, and suggested that the deal I offered would make them lose money. That's not what my research on the net, from Consumer Reports, from Cars.com, etc. Said. In fact I laid out exactly how much money they would make. No deal. They continued to call me back to "make the deal work" and it was a waste of time. I was very up front right from the start but they didn't want to hear it apparently.

From the time I got out of my car to the time I came back and picked it up, I was greeted with nothing but GREAT hospitality!! Especially my service advisor, Wayne. His customer service was astonishing! I kinda felt at home and didn't mind waiting in the very clean waiting area. However, I did have an appointment to go to that is conviently located 5 minutes away and thanks to their outstanding shuttle services I was able to do so. By the time my appointment was over, the shuttle came back to get me and my car was finished. I mean, this could not have been a more pleasant experience. #nocomplaints #keepupthegreatwork!!!!!

My experience was professional, pleasant, diligent, detailed, and exceeded my standards. Miss Hennigan was, very attentive to my needs to the vehicle, and made sure any questions I had was answered. I would recommend this service center to anyone because they're well knowledgeable in the field, and make sure you're happy from entrance to exit. Although there was many customers present, I still felt as if I was tended to like i was the only one there. I plan to return back to this service center again for further repairs and maintenance checks, maybe even do a few upgrades to the vehicle. Thank you Toyota of Bowie

Manny is a very knowledgeable person and offered a fantastic explanation of how the part affects the overall efficiency of my auto,However through no fault of his, the charge for replacing a O2 sensor was excessive, unfortunately I did my research after ordering the work.I hate it when I spend 9x the value of a part for installation of that Part

My Avalon needed a new cat. converter. I was 1000 miles past Toyota coverage. Toyota only offered me $300 to help fix the problem. Toyota of Bowie did everything they could to assist me. They tried to work with Toyota to cover the repair. When that did not work, Toyota of Bowie refunded me my money for the diagnostic. Deb was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Toyota of Bowie Service.

I've worked with Wayne Lopez for over 10 years and followed him from the Annapolis to the Bowie Toyota dealership. I not only trust Wayne's recommendations on servicing my car, but his customer service attitude is terrific! I marked Price as N/A because I did not comparison shop the price at other locations. I'm taking my car to the dealership where Wayne works because knowing I can trust my Service Manager is my first priority. I know Wayne will ensure the work is done well.

The service I received was great. Bob Clodfelter reviewed and explained everything with me. The service did not take long. Once I paid my bill, my car was pulled inside so I didn't have to go out in the cold. I have nothing but good things to say about Bob and the service.

I don't normally take the time to send reviews but I believe Wayne Lopez deserves recognition. I have never had a bad experience with any dealings with Mr. Lopez. He has taken care of my vehicles with the utmost professionalism and friendliness. I know I can trust him to tell me the truth and do what's best for me and my vehicle. Kudos to Toyota of Bowie for placing decent, hardworking people on their team!

I recently transferred to Toyota of Bowie and loved the service. It was easy to make an appointment. Wayne Lopez was extremely friendly, throrough in describing the service, and the time required. I will definitely continue to have my car serviced at Toyota of Bowie. Kudos to the mechanic, Alan, as well who helped to explain some concerns I had regarding the transmission. I arrived early for my service appointment and my car was immediately taken in by Wayne Lopez and worked on by Allen Mastros. The quality and timeliness of the service was superb. At age 73, I've been to many service departments of a lot of cars, and Toyota of Bowie has by far been the best. Every person I've dealt with there has been extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and their prices are very reasonable. I wish that I had found Toyota of Bowie earlier.

My visit to Toyota of Bowie was outstanding. They created my pleasantly, provided quick service and follow through. Many companies could learn from Toyota of Bowie.I arrived on Sunday, November 10, at 7:45 am. The shop was open by 8:00 am, in fact, it was just before 8:00 am because I was the third card, and Anthony created me about 8 or slightlybefore.The service area was warm, very clean and inviting. It was not like most service areas where the oil and grime meet you at the door.I explained that my husband came the day before to have the car serviced and they suggested he come in on Sunday since he had not shared the problem with our driver's side sun visor. Mr. Johnson remembered my husband by name. The day before Toyota changed our oil and did a tune-up. The car sounds and runs much better.At any rate, Mr. Anthony Johnson, greeted me, said they would check if it was under warranty and let me know. The visor was not under warranty because it had expired. He apologized for having me come in so early. I said an apology was not necessary but we still would like for them to order the part so we could have it fixed.My visit was pleasant, fast and I did not mind spending the money because the service was OUTSTANDING. I immediately posted my experience on Twitter and texted my husband that since we are looking for another vehicle, let's consider getting it from Toyota of Bowie again. Outstanding Service in all departments. The Staff at Toyota of Bowie are very professional. No pressure salesman, the Management Mr. Ryan Pope and Jim Kussman were wonderful and I feel gave me the best deal possible between PA, MD and DC area on my Tundra Platinum. Tasha in Customer relations was wonderful helping select the right protection package for my new purchase, and the many others that I can not remember their names. The atmosphere at the dealership was warm and friendly. Everyone was kind, professional, and very knowledgeable about his/her job and the product they were representing.

This was my second visit to the Bowie service center. I found the staff and technicians to be professional, courteous and very knowledgeable. They were patient and took time to explain the services that were performed as well as providing me with a detailed explanation of future service work to be completed in the immediate future. I left the dealership feeling great about how I was accomodated and am thankful for this opportunity to recognize Christina Hennigan for her graciousness and understanding toward me both professionally and personally. The art of customer service has become almost exstinct in our community, so I found this service experience to be simply AMAZING and I look forward to a long and continued business relationship with Bowie Toyota Scion service center.

I currently own 2 Toyota vehicles: Tacoma and a 4-Runner. I have both serviced by Toyota of Bowie, specifically Mr. Robert (Bob) Clodfelter. He is absolutely "the best"! He goes out of his way to provide the best possible customer service I have experienced when it comes to servicing any vehicle I have ever owned. He genuinely cares about his customers and that is why I will not deal with any service manager except "Bob"! Toyota of Bowie is very lucky to have such an outstanding employee and it is because of Bob that I would rate Toyota of Bowie "OUTSTANDING"! I had to make an unexpected visit for service last week and Bob took great care of me, as usual! I got a "diagnosis" within about an hour and drove off the lot about another hour after that. He always has a pleasant greeting for me and he takes the time to make sure I understand the cause of the issues I've experienced. He makes what could be an anxiety-ridden experience a little easier to take and I greatly appreciate that. I've been going to Toyota of Bowie to have my car serviced for 5 years and Bob is the major reason why.

We have gone to this dealership for their reliable service for years, and exclusively so for at least a decade, with a "Hooray" for Tom Conner, service manager. In recent years, we have been even more satisfied by the down-to-earth, detail-oriented, consistent, reliable service of our two Toyotas by our service advisor, Bob Clodfelter. (By the way, if he isn't around or too busy when you first come, the rest of the team we've encountered are all plenty good enough.)We buy Toyotas because we can count on them to last long enough to have driven them around the earth many times (if we want to, otherwise just back and forth and here and there). We have our service attended too by Mr. Clodfelter and thereby achieve utter reliability, every day, in every season, every year.

Chima Joe is a excellent sales agent he really knows how to negotiate for the buyer and he gets the deal done within a timeframe that doesn't tire you out. I have been going to Toyota/Scion of Bowie for over ten years. I have always found that they offered the best balance of service, price and courteousness of any Toyota dealer that I've worked with. Mr. Bob Clodfelter, the service representative that I have worked with, has always been the greatest to work with at this establishment. His advice and guidance on service have been outstanding and has led to utter reliability of the Toyotas that my family drives. We have been driving Toyotas of different models consistently since 1989 and we currently have three of them (a 2008 Solara convertible, 2009 Camry and a 2011 Avalon). I trust Mr. Bob Clodfelter implicitly with all three of these cars and the service recommendations he makes that are required for these cars.

On Saturday, September 21, 2013 I purchased a 2013 Toyota Avalon XLE for Toyota of Bowie and Ms. Michelle Makel, Sales Representative and Mr. James B. Kussmann, General Sales Manager provided outstanding customer service. Both of these employees not only provided outstanding customer service they were also very courteous, professional and attentive to my needs which is the main reason I purchased the car. There was also a gentleman in the Finance Department named "Leo" who was very professional and took the time to fully explain the process regarding my purchase. In general the entire staff was very professional.

Each time I visit the dealership, I am met by plenty of smiling faces, each ready to help me have the best experience possible. Some associates are well aware of who is my service manager. Bob is the best, I called two weeks in a row for service that i was not aware of and both times he made me laugh and took the worry i had about my truck away and solved the sick fever my dear truck had to make her new again. I have a 2006 4runner and will say toyota of bowie have made me happy over the years. Mr Gabriel Gauzon is a Financial WIZARD TECHNICIAN Manager that has helped me through THREE Toyota transactions. He is extremely polite, and an absolute pleasure to deal with. You are never rushed through Gabe's office. He answers ALL questions - even those you think you might ask. It's almost as if he establishes a mind-meld with his customer !! My son and I appreciate the service provided by Gabe's and will continue to return to TOYOTA of Bowie as long as people like him continue to work there!!

I have given the rating that I have because of all the professionalism of the team that helped with my purchase. My Sales Consultant Ryan Greenidge was such a winner. He greeted me at the door and I told him what I wanted. He took me to a car with a no hassle approach. He was able to answer all my questions including the technical questions which was impressive. Tinika Edwards (New Car Delivery Associate) helped me make the transition to my new Scion tC including setting my phone up. This dealer stays busy and Ms Edwards always has a smile and a high level of professionalism. When I talked to Ms Pat Cunningham (Customer Relations) she was able to show me products that I could use for my car that will help me save on my insurance and provide a level of safety. My final step with Gabriel Gauzon (Financial Services Manager) was very enjoyable. I felt at ease with Mr Gauzon's help. I traded my new 2013 Hyundai for a new Scion. Came in just to shop first step after communicating on-line and receiving call from Tim. Michelle met with us, was very knowledgeable, fun and friendly; excellent info during test drive and very responsive and helpful negotiating price and walking thru purchase, which we really hadn't intended to do that day! Kudos to Michelle! Tanika and Eboni and Mr. Henry were each very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with the steps of the purchase process, and we drove our new car home happy. Re: our new 4runner, we are long-time Bronco afficianados, having bought 3 and still own 2...in comparison our new 4runner is very tight and excellent to drive--directly responsive in braking, accelerating and turning; seats are MUCHO comfortable and I have a bad back. Only place the bronco is better is all-around view; the 4runner has a couple blind spots and the view from the inside rear-view mirror is much smaller--so I'm learning how to adapt. Only 94 miles so far, so no other observations/comparisons. Nice car--great people at Toyota of Bowie!

Bob was very firendlyand knowledgable. As I explained the issue I was having with my car, he listened attentively. He never rushed me and asked questions to clarify. he told me what he thought was wrong. After the car was checked, he turned out to be right on target. He was very professional but also was seemed to ahve a great approach. Oftent imes it seems when you bring in a car for service, they jsut want to rush you through and not listen to what youhave to say or don't seem to want to answer your questions. Bob took his time yet was very efficient. he knew exactly what was wrong and my car was ready when he said it would be. He is top notch.

Steve Johnson sets himself apart from the rest at Toyota of Bowie. I have purchased several vehicles from him over the last couple years and each time I was treated with the same respect, honesty and fairness. It was clear that he was in it to make sure I as completely satisfied - from the color of the vehicle to the price. Steve is definitely a man of his word, taking care of his customers from the beginning to the end and even handling the smaller details after the sale, like ordering floor mats and setting up service appointments. I have recommended Steve to my friends and family and will continue to do so in the future. It's refreshing to know that there is at least one car salesman out there that really does care about his customers.

Some years ago we purchaed our Toyota Sienna from Toyouta of Bowie and the overall experience has been great. The true test of a dealership is not in the one day purchasing event but the long term serviicing experience of your vehicle! The service experience with Toyota of Bowie has been great; namely because of our service advisor Bob Clodfelter! Over the years my wife and I have come to trust and rely on the accuracy of the information that Bob shares with us regarding our vehicle. Bob's freindly, personable persona and excellent customer service skills have made our long term relationship with Toyota of Bowie a pleasure! The quality of workmanship regarding our preventive maintenance services as well as vehicle repairs has been good; with no return visits for the same issue thus far. The price for the services over the years has been good but, could be improved upon for customers like us that have chosen to have consistent and reliable Toyota service to support our investment!When it comes to the bottom line of perception of an entity or company it usually rest with the team that engages its customers; Toyota of Bowie has a winner in Service Advisor Clodfelter.

service advisor Bob Clodfelter addressed all my concerns and made recommendations based on my needs. unlike other auto service locations, i did not feel pressured into making decisions about repairs. he took the time to explain and prioritize repairs in order to fit my budget. he was very friendly AND knowledgeable; customer service like this is priceless. Toyota is our brand in vehicles, i'm happy to have found someone trustworthy to help with the maintenance.

My experience at Toyota of Bowie has been very good. The service technicians are very kind and considerate. Whenever I visit the dealership I am never disappointed. They get me in and out in an acceptable amount of time. When I get to the service center, Bob Clodfelter always greets me with a smile and never keeps me waiting. I would recommend Toyota of Bowie and Bob Clodfelter to my friends and family. Also, Bob always gets a driver to take me to get lunch.

Usually it would take the whole day to buy a new car but it only took us 2 to 3 hours to buy the car. This was so fast that my mom had to ask if we really bought the car. So overall they knew what we want n got us what we want n that made us really happy.

I had never owned a Toyota, but had done a lot of research, I liked the size and features available on the RAV4 Limited, and knew what price I was willing to pay. After months of shopping for a smaller car I woke up in the middle of the night and again found myself online, building the RAV 4 I wanted. After building the RAV 4 that I wanted I hit send and went to bed. By 8:30/9:00 the following morning, I received a call from Steven Johnson. My husband and I ended up meeting Mr. Johnson at Toyota of Bowie that day, got the price we wanted and bought our RAV4 Limited and I'm just loving my RAV4.I found Mr. Johnson to be truly 'outstanding' as a salesman. Without question, Steven Johnson is the finest Automobile salesman that I have ever had the pleasure dealing with. Steven has everything, he is knowledgeable, respectful and presents a neat positive appearance, he is attentive, listens carefully, he is very responsive and provides experienced guidance. He was never forceful, was very patient with me, he is honest, upbeat, effective and pleasant to deal with.Steven Johnson who is a hard diligent worker, was absolutely fantastic, and in a class by himself. Bob is very friendly, reliable and takes time to explain the work needed to be done and is always willing to answer any questions. Work is always completed to my satisfaction and in a timely fashion.My experience with Bob has been really positive. I would not consider taking my Corolla any place else for service or body work.

Bob Clodfelter is the best service advisor at Toyota of Bowie in Maryland. He is one that I can say that I trust. He takes the time to explain in detail of any problem conditions I've had with my 2004 Avalon. He advises me of the most important problem necessary for me to have service at that time. Even when cost is a problem factor he advises me financially. Bob has looked out for my safety for the past 3 years. Bob is a very nice and a pleasant person to work with. So if you're ever in the neighborhood stop by and see Bob for advice and/or service. He'll take care of you.

We would like to say that Tim White and Anthony Barnes were very friendly, very helpful and did everything possible to help us find the car and the color we wanted at an acceptable price. They were always ready to answer questions and responded positively to our concerns. This was the first time in 8 years we had purchased a car and we were not knowledgeable about what is available in the Prius model. They were both willing to give us the information we needed to make a decision. We will definitely recommend them to others. Leo and a women whose name we can't recall just now were also helpful and willing to take the time to explain the choices we needed to make.

I had a problem with my Camry so I made an appt . When I arrived, the service lane employees seemed indifferent, as if they didn't care if I was there or not. In my years of dealing with customers and employees I've learned that poor employees come from poor management. But luckily I had the great fortune to meet Bob Clodfelter. When he finished with his customer he promptly greeted me with a smile, quickly wrote the repair up & assured me he would take care of my car. Two hours later Bob delivered on his promise, the cost was less than he quoted & it came out on time. He's the ONLY reason I would return. He should be running the place!!

Had a 6:30 Appointment - Dealership opened on time.Robert Clodfelter did an excellant job on delivering my vechicle on time and explained everything that was done. He promised that my Camry would be ready by 8:30 A.M. and it was ready at 8:25. I would highly recommend him as a service adviser.

I called Toyota of Bowie because I have been shopping for a new Camry and found some good deals but I live in Bowie and didn't want to have to drive an hour to buy a car. Tim assured me that he would match or beat any deal I have found but I still had one problem. I had no car and no way to get to the dealership. Tim came and picked me up from my house and let me drive the Camry I wanted back to the dealership. At this point I felt like they were going to try to charge me more money because I was local and I had no ride home if I said no. Not the case Tim did beat the deal and the managers Jim and Ryan both made sure that I was happy and got a deal that I was comfortable with. This was a great buying experience.

Time and again he has gone the extra mile to make things more convenient for me, to work around my schedule, and to ensure that my car always runs at its best. The other service managers are fine. About 2 weeks ago I started searching for car for my grandmother. I met Tim through the AAA buying service in which she gave me a price and promise me that you play no games. Tim did more than just deliver on that promise he gave us great service on top of it. When we got to the dealership Tim had the exact Corolla my grandmother picked out ready and waiting for us. He went over the car with a fine tooth comb and make sure that my grandmother understood everything about it. The best part was there were no negotiations everything was done which made the experience very easy and very quick. I will recommend Tim and Toyota Bowie to everyone I know interested in the Toyota and I will be back again as well.

Tim White is an exceptionally professional salesman. I was in the market for a new car to replace my 13 year old Toyota Avalon XLS. I had spent several months reading consumer reports and I had narrowed my search to three vehicles; one being the 2013 Toyota RAV 4. Tim and I corresponded via email and telephone calls for approximately two months and during those conversations he was informative and professional and proved to me, without pressure, why the RAV would fit my needs. He patiently waited for me to come in when it was convenient for me to test drive the vehicle. I had personal issues that caused a delay in the decision and purchase, however Tim went the extra mile and waited for me to return. He kept all the promises we discussed and made sure I got the COLOR, MODEL, and PRICE I wanted without any hassles! I purchased my vehicle from him in July 2013 and I am extremely satisfied! He made the purchase a pleasant experience!

From the time I walked in until the time I left, Christina made sure that my visit was quick and efficient and comforting. I came in exepcting to wait at least an hour or so, but the service was so excellent that I only had to wait only 30-45 minutes for my car to be fully serviced. The staff at Toyota of Bowie was professional, courteous, and compassionate toward the customer service that they managed to deliver. i would recommend any Toyota owner to visit Toyota of Bowie for any servicing or customer service needs.

We came in to the dealership not really intending to purchase a car that evening. Timothy was very friendly and knowlegeable, he made us feel relaxed, we did not feel pressured as we have in the past at other dealerships. We asked about the car that was advertised in the Washington Post which was a 2013 Toyota Rav4 for a very good price. We expected to get the standard response of " We only had one car at that price and it has been sold". Timothy was very helpful and found a car which met our requirements. We ended up purchasing the car that evening. Our over all experience was very satisfactory, we would recommend the dealership to any of our friends and family considering buying a car. Mr. Whit is a valuable asset to his employers, he made our experience very enjoyable and that is doing something! I took my girlfriends car in for service on 8/8/13...not really sure where to go or what to do, I was greeted by a young lady named Christina. She asked me a few questions and then took me to her desk where she looked up my girlfriends information. Christina was very knowledgeable of the services my girls car was due for and assured me she would have me out of there in an hour or less and guided me to the customer lounge...25 minutes later she came and got me and explained everything tht was done to the car and assured everything was good. It felt like she was there every step of the way making sure I was completely comfortable with everything. She was very personable and even went and got my girls car herself in a timely manner where she explained what and when my next service would be. I have never ever been in and out of a service department so fast in my life with nothing being wrong afterwards. I will highly recommend Toyota of Bowie to my friends and I actually look forward to my next visit there.

With over 60,000 miles on my 2004 Toyota Avalon, I walked into Toyota of Bowie Service Center on the morning of 8/8/2013 worried crazy about a noisy sound coming from the engine. Nervous about what it could be, the young lady at the service desk greeted me with a genuine smile, patiently listened to my concern and comforted me with exemplary customer service rarely seen these days. With further assistance, she assured me that she would put me in good hands to take care of the matter and introduced me to Ann Meechie. She was another breath of fresh air with her greeting and conversation. She told me about the much needed 60,000 mile maintenance and a recall matter that needed attention. I felt that this would take a long time and mentioned that I was a little concerned because my mother was just home from the hospital. To my surprise, she told me that she could give me a rental, I think because of the maintenance needed. I cant begin to explain how relieved I was. This was a huge help! Before I knew it, I was in the rental and on my way. Ann called later in the day to explain everything that was needed and her recommendations. She was candid and warm as she explained the recommendations and minor things that could wait. Doing so allowed me to make a much needed money saving decision. Much to my surprise, my car was ready the next morning! Less than 24 hours! I was thrilled!I am extremely happy with my experience at Toyota of Bowie and feel blessed to have met Ann Meechie. This was THE WORST car buying experience of my life! The manager offered me HALF of the Kelly Blue Book trade in value for my car. This was a rip off, so I asked for my car keys so I could leave. The manager told me to get out of there, loud enough so the entire showroom could hear. I guess the terrible offer wasn't insulting enough so the manager felt he needed to belittle me when I chose to leave. This place should no longer be in business and is a disgrace to Toyota. Horrible!

The staff tried to run my credit report before discussing pricing, which I refused because I already had a pre-approved loan. The staff also insisted on knowing the payoff on my trade before they would discuss pricing, which I refused because I am an experienced buyer and know pricing can be negotiated without this. My refusals bothered the management, and apparently resulted in a very low trade in offer ($8K below what another dealership offered). Disgusted at this entire experience, I asked for my car key so I could leave. The manager took it upon himself to belittle me, telling me to get out of there while using physical gestures telling me to do the same. Easily the worst dealership experience of my life.

Because I had done an initial test drive of the RAV4 at this dealership, I contacted them with a specific deal to meet or beat that had already been granted by another Toyota dealership. They said "come on out and we'll beat any deal." I told them they were way too far away for me to come out without knowing they could meet or beat the deal I already had. I told them what I needed and the manager got on the phone and assured me he would beat it. I told them specifics: model and price, current trade in and trade in offer, financing required. I drove many miles to get there, just to encounter item after item that they wouldn't uphold after having said they would on the phone. First the finance percentage. Then the price of the car. Then what they would give on a trade in. Hours later, I gave up and walked out. Sadly for this dealership, I am aware of at least two other sales this has cost them. My credit rating is in the 800's, I was putting almost half down in cash. Happily for me, I went to the much better Toyota dealership the next morning and drove away with the deal I had offered to Toyota Bowie. Love my RAV4. Wouldn't recommend for anyone to do business with Toyota Bowie.

I had a wonderful experience with Bryan Wood who was my internet dealer. Anytime I emailed him whether it was early in day or late at night he would email back in a timely manner. Bryan was so knowlegable and willing to do whatever was within his means to make a sale. I truly enjoyed working with him as well as the other staff I encountered. This dealership is by far the friendliest. I truly would recommend this dealership to everyone interested in buying a Toyota. Kudos to everyone. Keep up the good work.

Made an appt. for 10:30 am for a routine 10K service (which consists of an oil change, new filter and tire rotation - there is some additional work such as eye-balling the brake pads for wear when the tires are off for rotation, and checking the fluid levels under the hood - but NOTHING that takes more than several additional minutes) This is a 20 to 30 minute job -- tops. Arrived early at about 10:10 am and checked in. Went to the waiting room and noticed that the room was crowded -- almost all the seats were taken and some folks were standing --- probably about 20 -25 people in total. After an hour and 1/2 of waiting, I checked on the status of my car and was told that my car was being worked on, but that another car was ahead of me. (So if another car is ahead of me, that would therefore mean my car is still sitting and waiting for service -- right?) Meanwhile, in the waiting room, I noticed that most all of the other customers had left with their cars by this time, including several folks that arrived AFTER I did. I know, because I saw them drive up and get checked in. Finally, after 2 and 1/2 hours, my car was brought to me. This is good customer service?? Don't get me wrong, I don't mind waiting my turn, but I made an appt. for 10:30. And when it now becomes obvious to me that other customers who were paying for their service and because I was not (my service was complementary), it was crystal clear that I was put at the end of the line !! This was not a matter of the dealership overbooking appts or getting backed up -- ALL THE OTHER CUSTOMERS WERE GONE FROM THE WAITING ROOM AND I WAS THE LAST TO BE CALLED.I will not return to Toyota of Bowie nor will I ever recommend that my family and friends go there for anything. My past experience with BROWN TOYOTA and RUSSELL TOYOTA is far, far, far better. If this is how TOYOTA OF BOWIE treats someone who just wanted a simple oil and filter change, imagine how they can screw you if you're looking to buy a car from them? And look at where this dealership ranks with all the other dealerships near Bowie/Crofton -- DEAD LAST!!! I wonder why???

Had contacted a number of other Washington DC area Toyota dealers, and all but one were fact and truth- telling challenged. And that one was Toyota of Bowie. From them, and Tim White the salesman, I got nothing but accurate information and a commitment to excellence. Got the best deal from them, and had the best buying experience in my life. And I'm 73 and have bought many cars.I was also very impressed with the politeness and warmth of all those who worked there. They said hello, welcomed everyone and I had the feeling that they were my old friends. I can't say enough good thinks about Toyota of Bowie, and highly recommend them to all.

I was there to buy a used car the Manager Tom was very helpful but Hugh sergio and Lopez they are the nastiest guy I have ever encountered in my entire life ..This Dude Sergio has the nerve to always text me about employment verification and always asked me for my sensitive information by text or email ! How unprofessional is that ?And lately He was like I think you don't like the car and you need to return it or I will send out our recovery team to get the car back ...I was like Please do not text me anymore and he got the nerve to tell the manager Sam that He has been calling me and I never answered his call which I found very offensive !How can a grown man can lye in an open day light like that without any shame ? Then I called Sam and He was like yes sir you need to return the car and lose all the money you put down because we will deduct all our fees .. I was like are you kidding me or you think you talking to an innocent or what ?Then He was like ask you manager to send us that information when they kept lying over and over ... The manager sent them the info over and over again and I contacted the bank yesterday and I was told the dealership did not include my second employment in the application...How unprofessional is that ? All they want is to get sensitive and not care about the people they dealing with ...I dont have any problem returning the car but will get my full money and will also sue the company believe me !

I purchased a 2011 toyota camry 10-15-12 from Toyota of Bowie and my experience was great. Mr. Wright was excellent in negotiating the price, he was very patient and took the time to explain everything to me. I felt comfortable with him and did not feel that he was just trying to sell me a car. He wanted the best price for me. Ms. Johnson was very patient and took her job seriously, I felt very relaxed with her and felt that she took my concerns into consideration. Sergio did his job like an expert. He did not have to think about what he was doing He was fast and accurate. I complimented him and ask him how long he has been doing this job and I believe he said about 5 years. Lastly, Mr. Bobby Wright who is the expert on Toyota Camrys assisted and educated me on my 2011 Camry. He is very knowledgeable he took the time to do a walk around my car with me explaining the features and functions. I felt that he was genuinely concern and wanted me to enjoy my car. This is the second time I have purchased a car from Toyota of Bowie. The excellent service will always have me coming back and referring other people. I was very honored that they acknowledged me as a returning customer.

On my drive home, the service center didn't seat the tires onI the rims correctly, tires blew out on rt 50 during rush hour. So my car drifted to the right and I almost got t- boned but I got the car safely to the shoulder. Please donot go to this service center they will jeopardize your safety. They could not tow my car right away either I had to let it sit in the rough part of Annapolis over night. This service center should be shut down.

We had some work done on our 2010 Prius III in October last year; after a tire thread from a truck ran over by a car and flew into the front bumper area of our Toyota Prius. I took the car to the Toyota of Bowie; there were over $2500 damages to fix. The completed job by Toyota of Bowie looked extremely shabby/vulgar; it included bad paint jobs, uneven paint, and misaligned panels. I took the car back to them to fix the paintwork with all the blisters and bubbles all around from the edge of the hood to the bottom of the front bumper. They asked me to take it to the body shop that is about 15 miles away; when I got to the shop,I find out that they dont give a loaner car even when they fix their own mistakes. Therefore, I came back home dropped off the car on a different day at Toyota of Bowie; couple of days later, I got the car back but I was extremely disappointed with the fix they done on it; which is basically looked like someone used a sharp blade and cut off all the paint bubbles etc. I gave up on them because that was the third time I was at their shop on a business day arranging my ride and taking time off from work etc.The reason I am writing this review is that I was about to trade in my car for an SUV, the trade in value came out much lower than what we anticipated due to the paint work and the misaligned panels and the lights. One private party who was interested in buying it made the same comment. By the way, tip of the new signal light broke within a month, I believe, due to the miss aligned installation.It seems like my car was painted by someone with no skills or has poor eyesight and was done at a shop that has no proper setup to do the paint job and no quality control. Someone said that it really looked like that someone picked up a spray bottle from Advanced Auto Parts and done the paint work under a tree. I would never take my car to this body shop for any work again.

My husband Frank and I were extremely pleased with the personal attention that Scott Snyder gave to us yesterday when we came in to look at a 2012 Toyota RAV4. We were not sure that we were actually going to purchase a car yesterday. If we were convinced that we were getting the best vehicle at the best price possible, then we would buy. Otherwise not. After test driving a car, we were very pleased with how easy it was to drive the RAV4. We wanted to buy the car, but did not want to overpay. We think that Scott and the team at Toyota went out of their way to get the car for us at a price we were willing to pay.

I was referred by USAA, but discovered this dealership totally misrepresents itself and does USAA a complete disservice. I received an email full of false advertising. When I went to the dealership, the salesperson mislead me and dragged things out for almost two hours before I insisted on a quote. I then sat at an empty table for 20 minutes waiting, it turns out, for the person in the *sales department*, who was *on break* right in front of my eyes. While I sat at the table, he goofed off and chatted with the sales staff until his break was over, apparently, before I was approached with a quote. When he finally came to my table, the quote did not include anything in the broacast email that went out to all Toyota customers in the Washington/Baltimore area. His offer was full of lies, a waste of time and a total insult. I have never seen such an unprofessional dealership, nor have I been treated with such disrespect while buying a car. The Annapolis dealer said 30% of their business comes from people who have been to Bowie and treated the say way. Typical PG County, Maryland.

Too bad there are no zeros. I went in with my mother in law to help her buy a Corolla. I spoke to a man on the phone who said he would give me X price which was about $200 less than I had anywhere else. I drove 3 hours and they told me the guy was not there and tried to sell me the car for over MSRP! Who in their right mind buys a car over MSRP? He was uneducated scum. He then brought the price down a couple hundred bucks which was still over MSRP and said "this is a good deal, MSRP is the lowest people buy cars for." They are a bunch of crooks. The salesman was so sleazy, he would have ripped off his own mother. I don't recommend this dealership to my enemy. He wasted 2 hours of my time and we walked out. We went to a different dealership in Virginia and bought a car later that day.

This is the worst dealership in Bowie. Go somewhere else. I have no idea why they are even selling cars. The sales people do not even care. Tried to buy a car here and I was told that I could not afford to buy even before I had asked about cars. I just walked out in less than 2 minutes that I was there.

60k Service -- On Friday 3/9/12 I went to the toyotaofbowie.com and saw a deal 60k service for $195. That great, I made the appointment right away to drop my car off on Sunday. On Sunday, went to toyotaofbowie service department and the guy at the service desk told me it will cost $450 for 60k service. Of course I can't find that deal on their website anymore, so i said forget about it, just get the oil change and tire rotation. An hour later someone from the company called me and trying to convince me that I had to get the 60k service done and now it will cost me $1040 !!! DUDE, GET YOUR STUFF TOGETHER! BE PROFESSIONAL.

This is the second time I have purchased a vehicle from Toyota of Bowie. Both times, I received great customer service. This time, my financial situation was not as good as the first time. However, Bobby passed my information to Montressa who came in on her day off to make sure the purchase was finalized. She kept me abreast of the progress every few hours throughout the day and met my husband and me at the dealership. She helped me to feel more confident with my decision to trade in my car. I wholeheartedly and without reservation recommend Toyota of Bowie.

Mrs Lavonne was very knowledgeable of the Hybrid engine and battery life, but best of all she was very accommodating to my needs. The selection of cars available in the lot was amazing and best of all she helped me through the financial process. This rating is for the service department only. Purchasing the auto here was flawless. Nice dealership and friendly people. I didn't feel as though I had to hang on to my wallet at purchase time. However, this was subject to change once I visited the service department,During a free oil change my wife was asked if she wanted the 20 something thousand mile service. She agrees and then waited for the service to be completed. She calls me in tears and says that the service was over $1000.00. That's right One Thousand Dollars! Nothing was wrong with the car,so the bill was for routine service. To many families, $1000 is more than their weekly income. It seems to me that a charge of $1,000.00 should be mentioned to the car owner before it is done. True, my wife didn't ask, but service such as this on our two other cars (Jeep Grand Cherokee) cost around $350.00 each. How many families have $1000.00 in disposal income on any given day? Thank heavens my wife and I are fortunate enough to have good jobs and we had the money. What if we didn't? I felt like we were taken total advantage of by the service department. I discussed this with the service manager and was pretty much ignored.I hope that Bowie Toyota feels that the $1,000.00 routine service without a warning that the cost is outrageous was worth the loss of future car sales by my wife and I. That is too bad for all of us because the sales portion of our relationship was one of the best I have ever experienced. I recommended this dealership for purchasing a new vehicle, Just be forewarned of routine service costs.

CONTRACT ISSUE: I purchased a 2011 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 after trading a 2011 Nissan Frontier Access Cab. The sale took place the third week of Sep 2011, however; CHASE Bank continued to call asking for pymt on the Nissan-everyday for a month! On 28Oct11, I went to Toy of Bowie & spoke with Finance Mgr Skylar Butler who first lied that he had not recv'd a voice mail msg from me on his desk phone. Then, informed that he had not paid off the lien on the Nissan b/c they needed $500 from me as the pay off is $500 more than they gave me on the trade. I will not give him any respect by calling him a Mr Butler...So, Skylar made statements that sounded like he was making a street deal: "BBB can't help you now. Give me $500 & I'll make the pymt today." The pymt was not made until a week later. I continued to get calls from CHASE threatening to submit to my credit report. I also learned that Toy of Bowie did not call CHASE to find off the pay off amount until 3 weeks after the contract was signed. I brought to Skylar's attention that we had an agreement: Toy of Bowie & I had agreed to the trade and puchase price of the vehicles-how can they come back a month later and demand $500 more?!? I felt like my feet were held to the fire! "Your credit rating or else!" AFTER MARKET PURCHASE: Next issue, I purchased after market body side molding from Toy of Bowie-Pat Cummingham. She told me for $399, it would be "painted to match the paint of my Tacoma and installed." I picked up my vehicle on 9Dec11; the side molding DOES NOT match the vehicle color and is about 8 inches too short-NOT extending the length of the door! Pat lied and said, that she had showed me the exact molding and the length, and I had agreed that it was what I wanted! These people are charlatains & brag that they are independently owned so the customer has no recourse other than allow them to get away with unethical behavior! I have owned FIVE Toyotas-I wish I had NEVER purchased one from Toyota of Bowie and recommend that you steer clear of them!I'm stuck with a brand new truck that I think was deliberately defaced! And, the prospect of having to deal with them 2yrs for the "so called lifetime warranty services" is very disheartening! Additionally, As the after market Manager Pat Cunningham told me one day, "Everybody here is aware of your complaint!" My fear is that the attitudes of "everybody" at Toyota of Bowie is going to affect every transaction as I think it has on the purchase of the body side molding, and services/ This really concerns me since I own two Toyotas that I was planning to continue having serviced at Toyota of Bowie.SALESPERSON: Initially, I was satisfied with my Salesperson-Ms. LaVonne Linah Byrd. After the sale of the truck however, she literally just handed me the keys and owner's manual. Although this is my first time owning a 4x4, I was not given any overview of any functions in my new vehicle. Interestingly though, Ms. Byrd was very adamant that when the Toyota survey arrives in the mail, I needed to insure that I respond positively to three specific numbered questions that would affect her bonus. One day when I returned to the dealership, Ms. Byrd asked me why I had thrown her under the bus. She stated, "I thought you liked me." Subsequently, on 8Dec11, when I returned to the dealership for the after market body side molding, I asked Carol (last name unknown) a question about air I was feeling when all vents are closed, and also the bass on one particular radio station. Carol saw Ms. Byrd standing outside smoking a cigarette and asked her if she would assist me. I saw Ms Byrd emphatically shaking her head "no". Carol returned to me and advised that she would show me what she knows about the Tacoma although Ms. Byrd was the Subject Matter Expert on the Tacoma. I asked why Ms. Byrd had not come to my assistance and Carol stated that Ms. Byrd had something else she was doing. Really? Smoking a cigarette takes presedence over demonstrating vehicle features to a customer that you should have done when the truck was purchased?

I went to test drive and negotiate a price, they wouldn't even negotiate, said they had the lowest price on the vehicle, there are others out there lower with less miles. Service light was on in the vehicle, kept saying the vehicle was serviced. If it was serviced then why was the lights on? Was eating in front of the customer, which is very unprofessional. Sat me down at a table them moved me to another table. The car was cleaned but can tell from the leather it wasn't cleaned very well, the leather seats still had film from the cigarettes. There was a cigarette burn in the vehicle. The sales person didn't even know how the car worked or the waranty. I would not recommend their used car dealership to anyone, very rude, unprofessional, and seem like they didn't care about making a deal or sale.

We worked through the internet to see cars from many dealers in the area, and found Toyota of Bowie the one dealer who respected our schedule and desire to work at our own speed, No hard sell, just respect for what we wanted and could afford. Tim the internet salesman respected our request just to communicate via email and provided us with all the information we needed to pick models to test drive. This was the easiest car purchase we have ever made and we are on our 5th Toyota in 20 years.

Scott called me after a lead on the internet that I was interested in a 2011 Corolla. From the beginning Scott was kind, personable and had a great sense of humor. When arriving to the dealership for my scheduled appointment Scott was waiting outside for me..no waiting or searching. Because I had already chosen which car I was interested in Scott had everything ready to go. He made my first car buying experiance a very posative one. Scotts willingness to do business and to work with me made me feel very confident in my purchase. All of the staff at Toyota of Bowie were very friendly. I decided to get the undercarriage of my car sprayed which was something I would normally have to come back for but Scott had the guy stay for us so I would not have to come back for a seperate visit. He also took the time to show me how to connect my phone to the Bluetooth option in my car. Whenever I need another car I will definately go to Bowie and request Scott again. 5 stars from me!! Scott's great customer service and knowledge was awesome, he turned a tragic event for me into a wonderful experience. Scott exhibited outstanding ethics, sincere and honest. He made me feel like I was his only client. I am VERY disappointed in the entire new car buying experience I just went through with the Toyota of Bowie dealership. Not only was I lied too, but in the end and after MANY promises by the new cars staff and management, the Toyota of Bowie dealership could not obtain the vehicle we had verbally agreed too and shook on in person to secure the deal. I just received a call from the sales person at Toyota of Bowie stating that his manager said to call me and inform me that they lost every resource to obtain the vehicle I wanted. This is absolutely unacceptable and I will not be bringing any future business to the Toyota of Bowie dealership. If someone asks me about my experience with this dealership, I will tell them exactly what happened. The Toyota of Bowie staff very much needs to change its selling techniques and promises which ultimately end up wasting the consumers time. I took days off from work because the sales staff promised me my vehicle would be here, day after day...ultimately calling me almost a week later telling me that they lost all resources and could not get the vehicle I wanted and that they had promised. I'm very disappointed and upset that my time, patience, and trust was wasted and abused.

This dealership is (or was) part of the AAA buying plan. AAA sent me quotes for the Toyota I specified, along with the names of 2 contacts at this dealer. I called the first contact, Joe Laney, and was disconnected before speaking with him. I then called the second contact, Lavonne Byrd, and again was disconnected before speaking with her. Needless to say, i bought my new Highlander from a dealer with better customer srvice (within the next 10 days). This dealership claims, "WE DARE TO BE DIFFERENT BECAUSE WE STRIVE TO DO BETTER". They have a lot of striving to do! Not recommended!

I called and specifically asked about a 2007 Honda Odyssey that is still listed on their site. Still listed on Cars.com, still listed and relisted on Craigslist and the car was sold over three weeks ago. I came from VA to look at this car. I was told yes this car is still here on the lot and available. I even had the salesman check to see if it had had it's timing belt changed since the Odyssey had 86K miles listed on it and they are due for a change. He said he would check. He claimed he couldn't find out, but that if it had not been changed he would definitely make sure I was compensated with a lower price and/or having someone do the work. Can't tell you how many times I said Odyssey. I get there and he goes looking for the Odyssey and can't find it. I overhear the other salesman saying it was sold over three weeks ago. After walking around the lot, he then said Oh I thought you said CRV. What???Never did I say anything like that. Now that you know the car has been sold, why did you relist it yesterday on Craigslist? Why is it still...after three weeks listed with Cars.com and on your own website? I hate being lied to. Avoid this dealership! They'll put up an ad just to get you to come out. I didn't even get an apology. No compensation for driving all the extra miles. Nothing.I'll share this with everyone I know.

I bought a 2007 Dodge Nitro from Toyota of Bowie in mid February and when I got the there was a light on in the car I was told it was normal for the Nitro I took it back three times about this issue and each time I was tilt it was fine. I took the truck somewhere to be serviced just for a oil change and the place I took it to said I needed new tire, brake pads, and a alignment 800 dollars worth of work. I called Toyota all day last friday no one has called me back yet and its Tuesday evening. I am disgusted with the service and will NEVER recommend them to a soul and if I know someone looking for a car I will tell them to stay clear of Toyota of Bowie Used cars. The new car side is great but used sucks. I wonder if I will ever here from them. I can't wait becausebone of my tires blew and had to take it somewhere but never there again. BEWARE!

First contact was good and salesman (Ronnell) was very nice. Subsequently called about price advertised in Washington Post for a RAV4. Dicussed details and was assured of pricing details (vehicle price, freight, processing, rebate). Upon arriving at dealer to complete deal was advised that price included a $1,000 rebate for recent college graduate which did not apply to us. We had specifically discussed this before we went back. Left dealership and bought RAV4 at another Toyota dealer.

I bought a new Yaris from Toyota of Bowie on Mar. 13 and traded in my 13 year old Corolla (199,000 miles). The sales person, Scott Snyder, was great in every way. He invited me to test drive the car on a good route with a lot of variety--Interstate highway, two lane road with hills and curves, etc. He was very knowledgable and provided a lot information about the car, the engine and the safety systems. I absentmindedly left $10 in quarters in my trade-in car, but the next day he made sure I got the quarters back. During the sale I opted out of the undercoating/paint sealant/fabric protection. I found everybody in the dealership to be friendly and professional. I was very happy with the price. And I'm extremely happy with this new Yaris! It's fantastic in every way. My mileage so far, manual transmission, ranges from 37.5 to 39.5 mpg (my commute from Columbia to DC includes I-95). I'm happy to recommend Toyota of Bowie.

Tim contacted me on a Saturday after I had submitted an internet inquiry about a particular Highlander. He told me about the SUV on the lot and gave me pricing, after I had indicated to him that I had test driven another Highlander at a different dealer & received a lower pricing quote he said he would speak to the manager about the pricing and get back to me. Tim called me back immediately & told me that Toyota of Bowie would honor the price I had received from the other dealer. When I indicated that the color combo that was currently available on the lot was not what I wanted, he found out that the dealership was scheduled to receive a Highlander in the exact colors that I had spent 2 days contacting other dealers about. Tim kept me informed, contacting me several times about the status of the anticipated delivery. Once the Highlander had been delivered, he contacted me again to see when I could come in to see and test drive the SUV. From the first contact on Saturday to signing the papers on Tuesday I was very impressed with everyone involved in the transaction. I highly recommend the NEW car sales team at Toyota of Bowie. Everyone we dealt with took their time to make sure we understood everything about the Highlander, its options, the financing and warranties, and that we were happy with our experience.However, I would suggest staying away from the used car sales department. I felt like my husband had purposely been mislead about the pricing of a vehicle over the phone just to get us in the door. Unfortunately the person he was dealing with fit the stereotype of your typical used car salesman.

My husband and I had been looking for a car for some time and through some persuasive emails from Andre Gistanner we decided to come into the dealership to take a look at a RAV4. When we arrived we found out Andre had a family emergency but he had a co-worker Drew look after us and he did a great job. To our very big surprise, Andre returned to the dealership to make sure we were happy with what we saw and if we would be interested in purchasing that day. Through some very tough negotiating, which was handled very professionally, and encouraging words from Andre, we ended up with a deal we could live with. Andre remained at the dealership till the end, which was 10:30pm that night, and we had found out was actually his day off, just to make sure we left as happy customers.We would definitely recommend Andre, Drew, the finance team and the dealership if someone is looking to purchase a Toyota.Great Job!

After an internet search, Tim contacted me re: my interest in a new Camry. I came in an hour later and spent about 4 hours with Tim. During that time, Tim was very helpful. I test drove several cars, and with Tim's help, I narrowed down my choices. Then, I had my wife come in, and once again Tim took us for a test drive. By then it came down to color choice. It took tim less than five minutes to find the car - a silver Camry XLE V6. Tim did a grest job. The normally stressful process was actually quite enjoyable. Thanks to Tim.

I had a unique situation and I was treated as though I had an 750 credit score. I was offered refreshments while I was waiting, Andrew constantly kept me up to date on what was going on in the back office and he did not just leave me in the lobby to be ignored. He even had another employee to bring the vehicle to my house because I was there alone. He was oustanding. Leo was also awesome. Im 59 yrs old and have bought at least 20 new cars and trucks in my lifetime and have to say this is without a doubt the best dealership I have ever delt with a great trade in allowance and a great deal on a new Toyota Corolla LE. Told Scott what I wanted and they met my needs.Had the car undercoated the folling day at the dealership. Same thing they were on time for my appointment and the car was ready when they said it would be and did a great job! Same goes for the rest of the process the aftermarket and finacinal people were great also. Truely this is the dealership all others need to strive to become.

My husband and I just recently purchased a Toyota Prius at Toyota of Bowie. We had numerous discussions with Scott Snyder, the Sales Consultant, even before we went to the dealership and we were impressed his knowledge and professionalism. Based on our discussions, my husband and I were looking forward to meeting and working with Scott. Once there we were more impressed with him. For one thing, he was not pushy or aggressive like some we have encountered at other dealerships. Soott was friendly and so, so, knowledgable about the Prius that we interested in purchasing. He worked to get a fair price on our trade-in without trying to short changed us. When we went for the test drive, he would have answers to questions, before we even asked them. The process with Scott did not take as long as it usually does when you go to a car dealership (which is basically an all day thing). He even took the time to go with us to the Parts Deparment to make sure we got the right accessories that we wanted to order for new Prius. We purchased our car on Friday and he send us an email on Friday evening, thanking us for our business, and called us on Monday to make sure everything was okay and that we were satisfied with the new car.Renee Bates, the Finance Manager was great. She worked to get us the best interest rate she could. She was knowledgeable and gave us good financial advice to help us through the process. She was friendly and had a good sense of humor. She made sure that all the paperwork was in order and completed correctly. My husband and I were a little bit concerned about the paperwork for the Motor Vehicle Administration, but Renee assured us that everything would be fine, and it was. She made us feel secure about the entire process. We could not have asked for better service. My husband and I were in the market for either a new Honda Civic or new Toyota Corolla. At our very first visit ever to a Toyota dealership we were welcomed by Vince, Jr who was turned out to be a great sales rep in every way: friendly, patient, communicative and ready to find out the answer to every one of our million questions. Never having been exposed to Toyotas before we were going back and forth making a decision between the two brands . Vince was super patient and took us out for multiple test drives. As USAA members we had a base price that was quite competitive with Honda. If it were just Vince, Jr running the dealership we would have purchased the Corolla hands down. HOWEVER, we could never get a straight answer as to the price of the Corolla through Toyota of Bowie. After literally 7 hours of our time over 2 days at the dealership (with a 3 year old in tow) we were told that in order to get the final price we'd need to sign an agreement that we were in fact going to purchase the vehicle and we could walk away from the agreement should we not be happy with the final numbers. The management further indicated that they couldn't find out the exact USAA price for the vehicle unti they ran its VIN number - and wouldn't do so until we agreed to buy it. When I pressed back and asked why I'd have to sign something before knowing the price the answer was the dealership didn't want us wasting their time as a tire kicker and shopping around for a cheaper vehicle. COME ON! First of all this is an antiquated sales tactic which I find frankly comical in this day and age of the internet. Secondly - it's doesn't seem ethical given my USAA request. Meanwhile I had contacted O'Donnell Honda in Ellicott City. Before I ever spoke to them or stepped foot in their dealership they emailed me in writing their best quote base on my USAA request. Even though the Honda turned out to be $300 more - we went with O'Donnell HOnda due to their upfront no pressure sales approach. It's a shame that Vince, Jr has such poor management backing him. He's a great guy and I'd work with him in the future at any other dealership in a minute!

I visited Toyota of Bowie last week and purchased a Corolla from Scott Snyder. The experience was great from start to finish. He knew what he was talking about, really listened to what I wanted and has great customer service skills. The price was right and they worked to get me in a car I wanted within my budget. I would recommend Toyota of Bowie to everyone I know and will be sending friends and family to see Scott.

I rarely ever take the time to write these reviews, since the state of customer service these days is in such disarray. However, when I come across someone who goes above and beyond just to help someone, I feel it necessary to point out. I visited Toyota of Bowie last week looking for a new car for my wife. When I arrived at the dealership, I was a little apprehensive about the whole experience since the car buying process is rather new to me (hadn't bought a new car since college :-) The salesman I worked with, Scott Snyder, took the time to walk me through the entire process and answer all my questions like I was his friend, not a potential buyer. His overall demeanor is unlike any other salesman I've come across and I know he will be quite successful in whatever he does. It also doesn't hurt that he was knowledgeable about the cars he is selling. Toyota of Bowie is lucky to have him, as I was fortunate to be his customer.

I cam to Toyota Bowie because of the Limited Lifetime Warranty that was being offered with new Toyota's. It was the one thing other deals could not offer, even though other deals offered basically the same price and financing arrangement. My husband and I were greeted immediately upon arrival, when Andrew was busy Tim was sent to start working with us. The entire experience was smooth, fast, customer friendly and accurate. It was a pleasureable experience and I would recommend Bowie Toyota to others. It is important to note that this dealership is not at all close to my home (50+ miles away) but it was worth the extra drive.

This will be our third vehicle we have purchased from Tim White. (Son purchased a car from him on my recommendation as well.) Tim from the start has been great. He works in the internet section which is where I first met him. I prefer using the internet to purchase over dropping into a showroom ever since meeting Tim. He has always given us the best deal in the area bar none without haggling. He has always been prompt in his responses to my inquiries about the vehicles. Tim always takes care of us. Toyota of Bowie vehicles always have a little extra included with their vehicles compared to other dealers. Tims sidekick Tim Smith is just as great. They are a tag team. Go with this dynamic duo and you cant go wrong!

Vince Jr, was excellent!! He greated me immdeiately when I pulled up to the dealership. He was very friendly, but not pushy. The weather was bad this day, but Vince was very patient and stood outside with me allowing me to look at different cars and took me for a test drive. He explained everything about the cars to me in detail. He was very knowledegable. I end up purchasing a 2011 Camry and I got a better deal then my credit union was offering (I was pre approved at my credit union). I did not even bother going to another dealership. I was pleased with the service and the deal I received at Toyota of Bowie. Vince has called me to check on me and my new car. I would definately recommend Vince! After checking out a different dealership, we were very pleased with Toyota of Bowie!Everyone was very nice and made us feel welcomed. Our dealer, Vinny, was great! He walked us through every feature and every part of the 2011 Tacoma before, during, and after the test drive. Vinny was very honest with us, very out going, and he made us feel very comfortable (asking if we needed a drink/food). We would recommend Vinny to anyone and look foward to doing busines with him a Toyota of Bowie in the future!

I had been to several dealerships before finally deciding to take my shopping online. Andrew Williams, an internet salesman, was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. When we arrived he already had a Corolla out in-front ready for us and was able to answer all of our questions. He even explained the Lifetime Warranty that they offered and the special financing options available through Toyota. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone in the market for a Toyota!

from the momment i drove in to their lot, to the time i left with a new 2010 prius, the service was splendid. from the sales person to the account person to the house keeping team. i was thoroughly pleased. Vinny Maranto checked on me frequently and kept me hydrated with a bottle of water and soft drink as requested, while i waited on paperwork. I felt at ease to call and ask Vinny questions even after I left the dealearship. He was awesome! Leo the account person was great too. They all worked to make sure I was satisfied with the final result. I am definitely pleased. great job Toyota of Bowie!

I had gone to a previous dealership to return my lease vehicle. My plans were to return the lease vehicle and attempt to buy it right out. The employee at the other dealership was not very friendly nor helpful. I left and decide to try the Bowie location and immediately was approach by Vince Maranto. I explain my situation and he promplty provide me with options. I ended up leasing a new Prius and not keeping the old one.

My experience here was great. I was looking to lease a car and I was checking out different dealers. Andrew is an excellent sales person. He wasn't pushy. He was very understanding of what I wanted. He answered my questions. We liked how he explained the features of the car. He took the time to explain the vehicle on the test drive. He was always happy and in a good mood. He gave us great customer service. We liked the popcorn too. Also, this place doesn't just forget about you once you get the vehicle. They are available if you have questions.

Toyota of Bowie wasn't my first choice since I live closer to another dealership, but I'm glad that my research turned up their lifetime warranty. I had been in contact with Erik and Tim about a Rav 4 for weeks before I decided to come into their dealership and they made sure that I was taken care of when I arrived. Even though their price wasn't the lowest of all the quotes that I received, the included lifetime power-train warranty was definitely worth it! The Rav 4 I had requested was ready for me when I arrived and my niece and I both enjoyed the free popcorn in their showroom. My daughter will be looking for a Corolla in a few months and I'm happy to say that she'll be getting it from Toyota of Bowie!

Our purchase was based off the USAA generated price. My wife and I had done our research and determined that the price was a great price for the vehicle ($950 under invoice). Our sales person, Lavonne Byrd, was very kind, professional and did not try to intimidate us into purchasing a vehicle. The main gripe we had was when it came to the options of the vehicle. The USAA website (as well as Toyotas website) allows a person to build their vehicle to their liking, and I selected the tech package and cold weather package only. We were told once we arrived at the dealership that every Highlander has the towing package and cross bars already included, thus they could not take these things off. I found that to be disingenuous, since Toyotas are build to be option based more than any other of their competitors. After much haggling, I ended up paying for part of the invoice price of the packages. Not happy with that aspect of the purchasing, and I will be writing a letter to Toyota about this issue. But my sales person was pleasant, I still got a good price, and every other person outside of the sales manager were great to work with. I would recommend them as a place to purchase a vehicle, but I would caution over the "options" freedom you are supposed to have that Toyota (corporate or Bowie, I do not know who is responsible) does not actually give you.

I have taken my car into Toyota of Bowie more than 6 times in the last couple of months for warranty work. The back windshield had to be replaced due a faulty rear defroster. They have also replaced TWO (2) GPS unit/radio/A/C units. Due to.....They were not sure why two units went out. I took it in both times because of a burning odor, GPS screen going out, and interference with the radio. They could not explain why or what happened....I mentioned maybe an electricial short. Oh no, was the response and still no answer what had caused this. I have also had two retractor motors replaced in the driver side door(which controls the window power window). Alas, I was blown off. Tom, the Service Manager, could not explain it either. When I asked him several times, he became very defensive and rude. He eluded that I must have done something to cause these issues. Yea right, I love spending my time sitting multiple days and many hours in the dealership. Give me a break! I would not recommend Toyota of Bowie or their sister store Capital Toyota in Landover Md either. And the recall issues to deal with since it has been reported their fix did not fix the sudden accelleration problem either. My car is an 2008 Toyota Camry Hybrid with less than 26,000 miles on it. You think Toyota would buy this crap car back or take responsibility for their problems.

From the moment I stepped into the dealership we never felt welcomed nor valued. Our salesperson was cold and transactional, ala stepford style. We test drove a 4Runner and Highlander and was quite pleased with both products. However, when it came down to negotiating a price, here is where the rubber met the road (pun intended). While the salesperson 'told' me on the phone they would work with me, things changed (surprise) when we came in. Okay, I understand the game. But not only was the price we were negotiating reasonable, but was most definitely doable! I received a TrueCar price from AAA for that dealership. They didn't know that, I wanted to see how honest they would be without me flexing the AAA certificate. The difference was $2,700. Additionally, other area dealers had a low ADVERTISED price. Fitzgerald Auto Mall Gaithersburg, MD and Chalmsburg, PA (highly recommended on dealerrater). We went to TOB because it's less than 5 miles from our home- Fitzgerald is 20+ miles away. They said the price was firm; so we kindly thanked them and left. Later that day and two days later, we got a call from the Manager and salesperson asking us what are we going to do! I asked them, "what are you going to do?" They reiterated that the price was firm- I thought, okay, then have a nice life, why are you bugging me.A few days later we went to Honda of Bowie where the experience could not have been more dissimlar. Not only did they work with us on our pricing, but the salespeople worked like a family, all were a part of the experience- we worked with 3 individuals. They were not pushy; very friendly and always deferred us to the right person. The deal we got was indescribable- I presented the offer to 3 area Honda dealers and none could meet nor beat the price. We are now proud ownders of a Honda Pilot EX-L!

some staff were just giving me a look when i first walked in. i had to stand idly for a few seconds before somebody entertained me. overall, buying from that dealership was not a happy one because i did not get the same THOROUGH service - in terms of explanations on everything - that my other friends went through when they went to other dealerships and bought their first cars. they were treated very well, like royalty, even if they didn't buy the car right away. they were only very nice after i bought the car.

I have purchased a 2007 Camey SE from Toyota of Bowie back in 2007 and my experience with them was somewhat ok. When I went back to the dealership in Nov 09 to inquire about the 2010 Camry 2010, the sales person was very eager at getting me in a car that day. I called before I showed up to the dealership to let them know that I'm just looking and that I'm not ready to do any deals yet until I have done my research on all vehicles I was interested in. The sales person said that's fine and that he wasn't pressuring me. I was sadly mistaken when I got there. When I met up with the sales person, he had a Camry waiting for me to test drive and he stated that he was going to have my 2007 Camry appraised for trade-in value. We took the car on the road and he didn't even go over the features of the car with me. Did a cat grab your tongue?? I thought was a little rude. When we got back to the dealership, I pretty much made up my mind that I wasn't going to purchase the car. He asked if I could come back to his office with him, which I did. He started to go over what he had in stock and prices. I nicely told him that I was not doing any deals, as I told him on the phone!!! Then he gets up and gets his manager. His manager tried to bully me into going into a deal and I told him NO!! I'm just doin my research. Then his manager, with a blank look on his face, walk away. Wow, that's Customer Service for you!! And they didn't give me the trade-in value on my 2007 Camry. They don't have to worry about me coming back up there anymore!!!

Short on time and one to keep a tight oil change schedule, I decided to take my 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser to Toyota of Bowie to have my oil changed. I normally change my own oil to make sure that it is done right, but I figured that I couldn't go wrong by taking my vehicle to a Toyota dealership. I couldn't have been further from wrong. First, a little background. The FJ Cruiser is perhaps the easiest vehicle on the planet to change the oil. The high clearance on the underside makes it easy to crawl underneath to access the drain plug, and the oil filter is literally juxtaposed on top of the engine. As soon as you open the hood, there it is. One doesn't even have to bend to get to it. Since time is money, and money is time, I sought to make the process even easier by installing a quick-drain oil plug (QDP). Nothing revolutionary about the piece; a normal drain plug with a brass articulator valve. A simple Google search shows that a plethora of automotive forums tout quick-drain oil plugs as a worthy purchase. I've had the plug on my FJ for about 2 years now. After dropping off my vehicle, I take a hike over to a nearby shopping center to get a bite to eat and to kill time while the oil was being changed. After about an hour and a half, I trot back over to Toyota of Bowie to pay my bill retrieve the FJ. That's when i'm sent to three different desks before someone finally tells me that they've been looking for me because they couldn't do the oil change. Obviously confused, my first question is "why not?" The service person at the desk tells me that the tech can't remove the old oil because he doesn't have the piece that is needed to connect to the QDP. My first question was "surely he's smarter than that?" As I said earlier, the QDP is a normal drain plug with an added ability to insert a hose into the articulator valve instead of actually removing the plug from the oil pan. If you'd rather not use the quick-drain function, you can remove the QDP with a socket and a wrench just as you would a "normal" drain plug. This is why I am confused that the tech didn't just use a socket.After waiting for a couple of minutes for the tech to come out to explain why he coudln't do it, a rather acute agitation set in at the ludicrosity of the situation. Afterall, this is the Service Department at a Toyota Dealership. Changing oil and using a socket wrench should be commonplace. I decided the stupidity of it all was more than I was willing to accept, so I asked that my vehicle be brought around, that i'd be taking my business elsewhere. While waiting for that to happen, I asked to speak to the manager to explain my frustration. That's when Tom arrives to tell me that its "his policy" not to change the oil if the vehicle is not equipped with the factory drain plug. This is beyond stupid. First of all, there is nothing technologically advanced about an oil plug. If you've seen a big screw, you've seen an oil drain plug. Not to mention that in the United States consumers are protected by the big corporate interests of car dealerships who seek to limit the use of perfectly capable aftermarket parts. After a brief back and forth, the tech finally arrives with my FJ and i'm about to leave when the matter is further complicated. Instead of there being a problem with my QDP, he tells Tom, the service manager, and I that the problem is with the oil filter drain! With out the need to go into details, i'll just say that Tom was also stunned by this revelation. Why? Because the oil filter drain is simply a hole in a shroud that is plugged by a nipple. Oil drips from the oil filter when being removed, and the shroud catches that oil. You remove the nipple to drain the oil from the shroud, replace the nipple, and voila, that's it! The oil filter drain plug is now the reason i'm being told that my oil wasn't changed. I believe it is at this point that Tom realizes that his technicians are dumbasses.The bottom-line is that I went to Toyota of Bowie for a routine oil change, and was confronted with the most absurd showing of stupidity in a long time. Instead of an oil change, I was subjected to the whims of a service manager whose "policy" is outdated at best, and just plain stupid at worst. Further, his technicians can't even articulate the reason behind their inability to perform my oil change. Tom and his crew of techs thought they were talking to someone who hasn't a clue about auto mechanics, which is probably the majority of the people they deal with. Not this time though. Needless to say, I will not be going back to Toyota of Bowie, which is sucks for them considering I am a new resident to Maryland, was seeking to establish a relationship with a local dealership, and am need of a comprehensive 60K mileage interval service. Not only will I not go back, I intend to tell the story of my experience whenever the opportunity presents itself.

My wife and I wanted to purchase a Scion Xd. We got a loan from Bank of America (direct loan), was sent to Toyota of Bowie (BOA's "preferred" dealer), so we'd have a better rate on the loan and picked out a car. The car we wanted was ready in a couple weeks, so we headed back to Bowie Toyota to pay for the car.Nightmare.Even with a direct loan already from Bank of America, and a letter from Bank of America that said expressly for the dealership NOT to run our credit again as the loan was already made, they underhandedly did so. I can't make it clear enough to you that we continually said we did not want any further credit checks, and we were never presented with anything that said "credit application," as the dealership would later claim. The Financial Manager in charge of the transaction was Leo Akiyode, who although telling us he'd been doing his job for 5 years, didn't even know how to process the Bank of America Loan. We hold this man absolutely responsible for Toyota of Bowie's poor performance. Now, we have more credit hits for absolutely no reason. Thanks, Leo, you're a champ. A champ in a never ending line of crooked car dealers.Beyond that, I'd only say that the salesman was fine, but that's not really important because Scions are haggle free, so there wasn't much he was going to do or could do to sell us more than we'd wanted. We'd done our homework. We'd already "built" the car online. HOWEVER, Toyota of Bowie, in all their game playing, did try to get us into yet another tiny, unwindowed office to sell "undercoating." No thank you; we built the car online. We'd done it all.I would recommend NOT going to Toyota of Bowie. They are just an inherently dishonest dealership. Even after working with the Customer Service Manager (whose "welcome" letters are given out with her own name misspelled), nothing has been resolved. They erroneously got a credit inquiry placed on the credit reports in an attempt to steal the loan and they'll do nothing about it. I can't help but to call to mind the word...crooked.Good luck if you head there. Keep your eyes open and be ready for everything. And last of all...read everything...slowly! Because you'll sure find it a huge task to get Mr. Akiyode to explain anything or move slowly at all. If you're going to spend 18 grand on a car, you deserve to do it right for yourself.

My overall experience with purchasing a Toyota Camry from Toyota of Bowie was wonderful. I never felt rushed or pushed into making a decision. My sales rep was very professional and very thorough in explaining the car and everything else that goes along with a new car purchase. I have to say that Customer Service is obviously very important to Toyota because everyone at this dealership was friendly and always offered assistance. Even when the dealership was overrun with people purchasing cars under the CARS Program the folks at Toyota kept smiles on their faces and tried to accommodate all the customers. I had to return to have an alarm and protectant coating put on the car. Toyota provided me with another car to drive while mine was being taken car of. Chrysler never did that for me! All I've got left to say is that in the future, if the automotive department measures up to the sales and customer service departments, then I would not have a reason to ever go to another dealer for my next car purchase! A+++ for Toyota of Bowie....

My girlfriend had a bad experience here a few years ago, but maybe their staff/management has improved. I went with my mom to buy her a new car a few months ago. The salesman wasn't too pushy and very friendly. Didn't know a whole lot about the cars (I knew alot more than he did), but he may have been relatively new. Gave us a very fair price with little trouble. Very pleasant car buying experience. Though the "accessories sales" lady was very pushy and pretty rude to me when I told my mom not to bother with the extra "rust proofing" and other crap. I went back recently when I was in the market. Although I didn't buy a car there, my salesman (Nnamdi) was helpful and very upfront with me. Turns out they didn't have the car I wanted, and he told me straight up that they couldn't get me the model I wanted for the price I wanted. No fuss, no slimy trickery (see my antwerpen review), once again very satisfied with my experience there.

I had been to this service department in the past. I found the service reps to be very sneaky, meaning they tell you that your car needs immediate services when in fact the services are not required (problem #1). I finally found one service rep I thought to be fairly honest. However, problem #2 - Once I brought my car home from a service, drove on the highway, and the steering wheel began to shake very hard and very quickly. I took it back and they fixed the problem, which shouldn't have happened in the first place! Problem #3 - Another time, my shuttle service pickup was over an hour late. Apparently he got lost. Why would you hire someone for shuttle service who doesn't know where he's going? Problem #4 - After finally getting to the dealership to collect my car (w/o the shuttle), we asked for an agreed upon discount. The Manager (Tim) gave us a discount, but significantly less than the agreed upon amount. Not only do they have poor customer service and unethical service reps, but the quality of their work is mediocre.

His Manager is Tim Smith. This was by far, the best car buying experience I have had dealing with these two individuals, but especially with AC. Why? Because it was a "no pressure, educational, your time is my time, we will go above and beyond to make you happy" type of experience. They say that car dealerships take advantage of women. I am an older lady who does her research and asked many questions to determine the accuracy of his knowledge. AC not only knows the Toyota cars. He has no problem working with his customers to insure their full understanding of every aspect that the two of you are involved in prior to even talking "purchase"...I loved that. This young man was respectful, patient and followed up on everything that he stated he would in a timley fashion. Actually, he was the reason I purchased the car in the end. I would recommend him to anyone and found the people at Toyota to be very diligent about servicing their customers. My experience was an excellent one. And not to overlook Ken Patterson, he worked with me the first day I visited the dealership and he too was a very positive reflection of Toyota of Bowie. Great place to buy a car because they are in the business of working to keep you as a returning customer. Nuff said! Mrs. RJ

I bought a new 2009 Toyota Camry in February of this year. While I got a good deal, as many times as I have had to return to the dealer for repairs, I'm not so sure now it was a good deal. They gave me a "loaner" while my new car was being repaired (sun roof)and yet they charged me for it. I've left voice mails for a week with Customer Relations Manager and have never received a call back - how rude. Obviously, customer satisfaction is not their top priorty. If you want to buy a Toyota, don't go there!

I got a price my insurace company USAA and was given AC's name as a contact. The price quoted by my USAA was well below invoice and the going market price according to Edmund's. I shopped around and got it for $250 less. They matched the price and the process went really smoothly, even with our two kids trying to run wild in the dealership.
