Waited at least a month to post my review that way I can provide a truthful experience regarding our car buying experience including financial and car services .We have a specific model/trim of the Grand Cherokee we already picked well in advance before we went to Tyson Motors. Me and my husband had visited other Jeep dealerships for 2 months and made some phone calls regarding their web specials of the car, at the end we said NO to each one due to inconsistencies with the web pricing and actual pricing of the car on site or some won't even entertain our offer. We don't like to waste our time heading to Tyson Motors since we are ~ 21 Miles away from them so we decided to email/call and provide our specific needs before heading out to the dealership. Mr .Larry Holcombe was our guy!!! Very professional, did not push the product and was very patient. My husband is very particular with EVERYTHING and Larry made sure he had addressed all my husbands questions. We were very happy at the end of our purchase, he made everything possible to meet our needs/demands and the management made sure the little issues we had with the car was addressed before we signed the dotted line. Even days after our purchase, Larry answered by husbands questions via text or call. Also, Mr.Brian James from the financial services provided great service despite us calling him days after our purchase regarding price matching. After 2-3 weeks later went back to have a undercoating service for our new car and we got great service as well. Everyone at Tyson Motors Shorewood took good care of us !! The owner and staff have all worked with us to the end until we are satisfied customers. And for that a big thumbs up and 5 star service for their excellent customer service. Thank you!

I've purchased multiple vehicles from Tyson and have always had a great experience. Jason Beltran always takes great care of me and the other customers that have sent his way. From start to finish Jason knows his products and how to efficiently get a deal done and expedite the sale. After shopping multiple dealerships I've always come back to Tyson not only for the best deal but for the level of service throughout the dealership. The parts and service department are great to work with as well. I'm enjoying my new Jeep from Tyson and will be back when it's time for my next one.

We will definitely be back when it's time for a new car. Bill Wayteck was great great showing us around and very patient, not pushy with the whole process. We got a great deal on our minivan, Aaron Lang helped out so much in making everything work. Lindsay Lewis was great in explaining everything...it was just an overall great experience with buying a new car which can be stressful. We called around to a few different dealerships and no one was able to match the price we got at Tyson. In fact another sales manager called me after I told them what Tyson quoted me. He was arrogant and said "There's no way they can sell you that car at that price." Needless to say I didn't get a response from him when I sent him my bill of sale. They did a great job matching my credit union's low finance rate too. All around great experience, I will be back!

Not greeted at time of entrance into garage. Had to request for help; told to wait "over there". Someone took information, keys and drove off with car not to return, no direction from them as to wait time or where to sit. After hour wait inquired with status and asked if I was "on the list". After two hours recall completed to complete a wireless key replacement.

When in there knowing what we wanted and they made it very easy. Financing was a breeze. Test drove a couple different trims and then decided on what we got (hadn't test drove that exact one but we were ok with it) and the dealer insisted we go for another test drive to make sure it was the one we wanted. Very patient.

Dealership personnel, by and large, are professional and cordial. In my case, I never heard from my sales guy after I purchased my 2015 Chrysler 200S. The service department seems to be relatively efficient, but they have an "Express" oil service lane which is anything but. When I tried to get my first free oil change, I went back three times, and each time there was a minimum two hour or more wait. I would recommend this dealership depending upon which car you wish to purchase. DO NOT purchase the "America's Import" Chrysler 200S. It was the worst buy I've ever made when it comes to cars. The steering is sloppy (acknowledged by Consumer Reports as one of the top 5 worst cars to buy), NTSHA reported the headlamps have poor to marginal vision, and the voice recognition system is extremely poor if it senses any ambient noise such as the fan from your heater or A/C. You, literally, have to scream inside the car for it to recognize any command. And, lastly, the vehicle has downshift paddles located directly behind the 9 and 3 position on the steering wheels adjacent to the audio volume, source, and station controls making the potential to accidentally engage the paddles while driving at higher speeds. Simply not safe. I took the car into their service department twice to see if they could do anything with these issues, but the bottom line is that they tell you the car operates the way it was designed. Well, the car is poorly designed. One good thing is tremendous fuel economy, but I'm not a big fan of the nine speed transmission. At the end of the day, it wasn't the dealer that built the car, but ...! I'll stick with the Japanese or Korean cars like I have for many years in the past.

I contacted Tyson Motor Corporation from their Website, and was immediately responded to by Aaron Lang. When I arrived Mr. Lang shook my hand and introduced me to Bill Wayteck, who would be helping me out. Within 10 minutes Bill and I were in a Jeep Grand Cherokee for a test drive. I quickly decided not only on the vehicle I wanted, but that I WANTED to work with Bill. I felt he was honest and willing to help. Within another 10 minutes we agreed on a trade in value for my current vehicle AND a price for my NEW JEEP! Tyson's pricing for both was very, very competitive, BUT my decision was made because of Mr. Wayteck! I then met with JP Vaughan to fill out paperwork, which was ALSO a painless experience. JP explained everything in detail, and I had very few questions. I was at Tyson Motor Corporation for about 2 1/2 hours, and left looking forward to sending this review. I have NO DOUBT that I will return for my next purchase!

Tried to buy a new car at Tyson, what a horrible experienceSalesperson spent 2 hours telling me how good Jeep's hold their market value and then they low balled me so bad on trade-in for my existing Jeep with no negotiations. The offer was so insulting considering we were going to buy a very expensive car at Tyson.I went to the GMC dealer in Joliet and they were able to give me almost 5 times what Tyson was offeringMaybe the Jeep personnel at Tyson should go to the GMC dealer to learn a little about how to determine the value of Jeeps, it cost you sale and a loyal Jeep enthusiast customer.

I just purchased my 2nd Jeep Wrangler here in 10 months. I bought a 2 door at Tyson last year then realized the 4 door is a better choice (my fault, but the 2 door looks so cool!) . J.R. who was my salesman last year helped me switch into a 4 door with a very reasonable deal. Everyone at Tyson made both transactions among the best I've ever experienced out of the 19 New car purchases I've made in my lifetime. Tyson is one of the few dealers out there that doesn't play games or tricks with their pricing, both times I came in and there were no surprises and I was treated with respect. Good Jeep dealers are hard to find, Tyson is a Gem. I also had a great experience with their Service Department when I had a very minor problem with my last Jeep. I don't live close to Tyson but it is well worth the drive. Highly recommended, I wish all Dealerships were like Tyson. Thanks J.R., I'll be calling when the Wrangler Pickup is released.

I have had nothing but problems with this dealership. Have had my car in SIX times for the same issue over the course of 8 months. No communication skills whatsoever from service department. I suppose they are just guessing and checking what the issue is at this point and I guess since I have a warranty and they aren't making money off me they could care less to find out the actual problem. We had Tim Giacomi for our salesman and he was patient and answered all our many questions, found us a automobile that far surpassed our expections he took the time to point out some of the many added features on our test drive then spent a long time going over the entire car telling us how to use all the features that came with the Jeep Cherokee he set up my blue tooth and when it was time for us to talk dollars and cents came back with a price and monthly payments that we could afford being retired. I purchased a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee 75th anniversary edition on 4/13/16. I came to the dealership without an appointment and was planning on just looking around and seeing what options I had for turning in my Dodge Ram that I had on lease. I was greeted by Tim Giacomi. He found the 75th anniversary edition Cherokee which had every upgrade that I wanted and it didn't have the upgrades that I wasn't looking for that the next level Cherokee came stock with. I am related to the Rizza's and have pretty much purchased all of my vehicles from them most of my life however, I always felt like I was getting the short end of the deal so I decided to try out Tyson motors Tim was very friendly and worked with me to give me the best possible deal on my trade-in. Not only that, but he and Jim Kinney work tirelessly all day and night to find me the perfect vehicle and got it done just so I can come in the next morning and sign the papers and drive out! He was quick in how he handled everything and ensured that I left the dealership extremely happy ! I also have to think Brian in finance for a very Quick and friendly experience I will definitely recommend to him and just dealership to all of my family and friends and I will definitely never go back to Rizza again !!

We walked into the dealership today just expecting to look and get an idea of what we could afford. We expected to be pressured and have salesmen bombard us. We were very pleasantly surprised from the start. Matt was receptive of our needs and helped us find exactly the right truck for us. This place is a joke. First off they offered me 5000 less for my trade in, then Kelly Blue Book had my truck price at. Then after the numbers did not work, they offered me $4000.00 over Kelly Blue Book. We then agreed on a price and on a truck. I signed the paper and put down $500.00 on my card to hold the vehicle that I wanted. They told me on a Thursday, that they would have the truck in on Saturday morning. I did not hear anything. Saturday I called with no answer if the truck was there or not. I then called Monday to check the status and the salesman said the truck I agreed on was sold. He stated he was looking for another one (different upgrades then we discussed). Still had not heard anything as far as when one would be in. So 6 days later the salesman calls and said they could not get the truck for what we agreed on. Then said That I had to come back in to get my $500.00 that I had put down to secure my vehicle that was not there nor could they make the deal that we had agreed on. What a joke. I would expect this from a small dealership that is not very honest, but if this is how Tyson Motor Corp. does business. Very unprofessional!!! I Hope they start doing business the right way. Good luck. Make sure to get every thing in writing. Tyson also told me the other dealerships they do trades with didn't have the truck I wanted but I went to one the next day and they had the exact vehicle and that dealership said they did do trades with Tyson. Tyson said they couldn't make the deal they agreed on.

I went to this dealership with a specific make/model, price, and maximum monthly payment already decided upon. Even though I was "credit challenged" and basically was asking for the world for a penny, Rex Smiley my sales associate together with Aaron Lang the sales manager,treated me respectfully and never gave up until they handed me the keys to my new vehicle. Not only is my new Chrysler 200 a model year newer than the 2015 I went there to buy, I paid the same price as i had expected to pay for the 2015. If that want enough, Aaron managed to get an interrest rate for me that is incredible. Even JP, the man that handled our finance paperwork, was straightforward and wonderful. I now own a new 2016 for what I hoped to be able to finance a 2015 for per month.I never write reviews but these guys deserve some praise.

The service my wife and I had was good. And the price that we recieved on the ram 2500 we bought was better then other dealers were offering. I also perchased the maxim care warrenty which also sounded like a good deal. We liked the style of the ram better than the ford or chevy so thats why we went with the ram.

I cannot begin to describe how amazing this experience has been. My first purchase was from Tyson about a year ago, it was my first time ever buying a car and it was amazing. Well, my second time around was not as easy as the first one. During the course of the year I needed to file bankruptcy, which was one of the hardest decisions of my life. After going through it, I needed another vehicle. I received NUMEROUS dealerships that stated they worked with people that have gone through bankruptcies, well let me keep this short and sweet. They LIED! While the other dealerships treated me with such disrespect, I decided to reach out to my old friend Rex Smiley at Tyson. The young man that helped me the first time around. He was as personable, professional, and courteous as the first time we meet. He worked with me not one, not two but, almost three weeks to make sure I was in the vehicle I wanted to be in. When I came to see the vehicle he thought would be in my budget it blew my mindIT WAS PERFECT! I honestly didnt think I was talking to (salesmen) but some old friends. When I say that the other dealerships made me feel lower then dirtbelieve me I meant it! Everyone at Tyson treated me with the utmost respect, and showed tremendous amounts of professionalism. After going through my financial hardship this year it was refreshing to be treated like I have. Now came the financing, BUM.BUM, BUMMM..it was as smooth as butter. J.P. Vaughan broke everything down to us (Not like a Robot) but in words we could actually understand. I never knew what GAP coverage was well, I knew what the GAP store was. J.P. made sure I understood everything, and hey.GAP is not just a store! Tyson will always have my business, and I want to say Thank you for taking the time to make sure I was treated like I was the only customer there, and that I mattered.

After being burned by two other Jeep dealers (DuPage Chrysler's bait and switch advertised pricing and Napleton Chrysler in Arlington Heights' added "accessories" cost of $995 to the posted internet price) we were delighted to find that every representation made to us by the Tyson Motor salesman Jason Beltran was honored. We were able to negotiate a good price for the Jeep over two quick phone calls. When we arrived the next day, the car we were interested was pulled up waiting for us to test drive it and the ultimate contract was for the exact price that we had negotiated. Perfect!

Adam was so very helpful to my husband and me in the purchase of my Durango. We feel he went above and beyond making sure he answered all of our questions (including one that involved a tape measure) and explaining the new technology in our vehicle. Brian in Finance made sure we understood everything involved and options available to us in financing our purchase. J.R. sold me my new Jeep Limited last Thursday with the help of Bryan in finance. This couldn't have gone any smoother! I have been part of the Volkswagen family for 15 years so both those boys made it very easy to transition. I spoke with J.R. and Bryan on the phone and we picked out my car on the phone and did the pre-approval for the car in a span of 30 minutes. We worked out the price on the phone and picked up my new Jeep two days later and was in and out in 45 minutes. I didn't want to go over anything; I just wanted my car and leave and I did!! J.R. got my humour (I think) and responded to me in the sale way which made it all the more easier. Great guys. I was looking to factory order a 2016 Challenger Scat Pack with options, I had tried many dealers for their best price. I made contact with Bob Adams at Tyson, he called me back with their lowest price, which was the lowest price I had received. I made an appointment to meet with Bob, check out the dealership and place my order. Bob made it a great experience to order/buy my new Challenger, he was knowledgeably, helpful, and not pushy like you find in most dealers. It only took four weeks for my new car to arrive at the dealer. I got another $500 off the already low price using a Dodge Bonus Certificate mailed to me earlier in the year. My advice is give Tyson a try, ask for Bob Adams he will make it a smooth and no hassle buying experience.

Our 2003 Audi A4 was getting a bit old and repairs would have been expensive. We decided to purchase a new vehicle and began looking at different cars as well as dealerships. We needed something a little bigger and more functional than a sport sedan and took a serious look at Jeep products. We settled on the Jeep Patriot. We loved the retro look of grill and headlights as well as the over all functionality and space of the vehicle. We went back to a dealer we had purchased a Chrysler from before, Tyson Motors in Shorewood. Tyson had a very nice and informative website which made it easy to locate a car we were interested in. We contacted Tyson to make an appointment and told them what Patriot we were interested in. When we arrived, the Patriot was waiting for us. The salesman, Jason, took time explaining all the features of the Patriot and JP, the finance manager, took his time explaining all the different financial and service options. At no time did we feel any pressure to buy and we were pleasantly surprised offer for our Audi. We have recommended Tyson to our family and friends, and we will continue to recommend Tyson Motors.

After visiting a couple Jeep dealers and being told we couldn't get the price we were looking for on a new Wrangler Sahara we checked out Tyson on the advice of a friend. So glad we did! The other dealers kept pushing us about how in demand Wranglers are and no dealer will accept the offers we were making. They were wrong! Our salesman Tim was super professional and seemed very confident they could make the price work. We picked our Wrangler out and Tim introduced us to Aaron, the sales manager. About ten minutes later we were shaking hands and getting paperwork ready. They had a lot of customers there so we did have to wait a little bit to get our paperwork signed. Everything was so upfront and Aaron made our deal happen so we didn't mind. They had a LOT of customers and it's obvious why. JP handled our paperwork and was also great to deal with. So quick and straight to the point. It was very refreshing. We will definitely be back to Tyson soon for our daughters first car! Thanks guys!

I've had great experiences with Tysons in Shorewood. I have a huge list of exceptional experiences with my sales guy Jason Beltran and the service manager Joe. I have to compliment the Service dept (Joe) specifically for helping me with this. My daughter who is active military and is stationed states away from home stopped in for a surprise visit. She had the whole week to visit but had to go back the next Sunday. On Tuesday I noticed her car (2015 Patriot) had a minor shaking feel while stopped with car in gear. I called Tyson service and explained what was going on. The service person on the phone checked and they had no openings for two weeks because they were swamped. I told him the urgency and asked if there is anything they could do. He politely said I'll check with the manager. The manager Joe, got on the line personally and verified all that I had told him. Joe seemed to care and i believe Joe is a supporter of our military by how sympathetic he was to my issue. Joe said he would do everything he could. So I didn't hear from him again till Friday and totally had figured he forgot. I was wrong, he called me back two days later personally and said he had a cancelation and could squeeze me in sat morning.I brought it in Friday night and they had it ready to go before noon Saturday. You can't expect this kind of customer service anywhere but that's the service I received from Tyson. Joe really stepped up and I had to at least write a review.Thanks Joe and Tyson'sJason Keeling

I have purchased 8 new cars in my life and I have had great experiences and some really bad ones. I am happy to say the two cars I purchased from Tyson were the best. Most recently I purchased a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit. Since the 2015 models were already out they had huge incentives to get the 2014s. Aside from that, they were more than fair with my trade-in. Honestly if you walk in with a realistic goal on what kind of deal you want they will work with you and make it happen. I really enjoyed working with my sales guy Tim Slattery. Super nice and very genuine guy. Next time I purchase here I will ask for him. My wife and I also worked with JP in finance. He made the process as painless as possible and answered any crazy questions we had quickly and correctly. Joe Hart is also a really good guy in service. Can't say enough about Tyson. If nothing else, if your in the market for a Chrysler product, give them a try. Also, the quantity of new cars they have on the lot is insane.

I had talked to the salesman, Matt Weikel, two or three months ago about replacing my 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan, and at that time he thought that the options that I wanted would require a special order from the factory. I returned to the dealership yesterday (on very short notice), to inquire about placing an order. it Matt checked their inventory, and said that they had a Town & Country with all of the features that I had wanted (plus a few more that I hadn't required, but liked), that he could sell me for somewhat less than the Grand Caravan that we had considered ordering. After inspecting the minivan and the deal that I was offered, I decided to purchase it, and was able to complete the transaction and drive out with the new van within a couple of hours of entering the dealership. I was very pleased with the service offered by Matt, and also with the assistance of the dealer's business manager in completing the transaction, giving me a full explanation of all of the details.

I bought my 2015 200S on a Saturday in August, 2014. Five [5] hours after I took possession, the air bag idiot light went on causing me to bring the car in that very next Monday morning for which I had to wait two [2] more days for them to get parts for the repair. Within the next month, the driver side front tire had a blow out--not the dealer's fault--that cost me over $200 to replace. Not off to a good start. When it came time for my first oil change, their "Express Lane" signage showed a 3-1/2 hour wait the first time I tried, and in the same week I attempted to get my oil changed again, and their "Express Lane" sign said it was a 2 hour wait. It wasn't even a weekend.Still haven't heard from MY sales guy since I purchased the vehicle. If he's not there any longer, you would think SOMEONE would have made one phone call to see if things were okay since I bought this car.I also made an inquiry about the Takata air bag issue to the service department, and they could not verify that this vehicle was or was not equipped with this product. Great service!?

We just leased a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon from Tyson Motor in Shorewood, Ill. We worked with Tim Slattery. This was hands down the BEST experience I have ever had with a car dealer/salesman. Tim responded promptly off an online inquiry. We had been looking at Jeeps for a couple of weeks and had a good handle on features and cost. Tim didn't waste our time. We struck a deal in principal over the phone that day but they did not have the exact car we wanted in stock. Tim tracked it down through another dealer out of state and we gave him a deposit knowing it would take a few days to get the car. From there EVERYTHING went EXACTLY as Tim said it was going to go. Communication was great, follow up was great. He updated us on the status of the delivery and sent us photos of the car when it arrived. We picked the truck up a couple of days later, and we love it. There is a Jeep dealer 5 minutes from our house and another less than 20 minutes away. We drove over an hour to get this car because 1) we got a great deal and 2) Tim worked his butt off. This was a new-school experience and I mean that in the best possible way. It felt like Tim was actually working for US and not for the dealer. If you need a Jeep and you are anywhere in the Chicago area, I would recommend Tyson and Tim Slattery all day long.

Being a single woman sometime when you make a purchase like this some salesmen will try to take advantage thinking you don't know what they are doing. I have had dealers try to sneak things in on me thinking I didn't know, but with J. R. I felt comfortable enough to tell him on the phone and I trusted he would get it, nothing more, nothing less. I am also impressed with Bob Dreier, the finance man, he treated me very honestly and didn't try to sell me things I did not want or need. Went to the dealer to look at a 4WD Jeep Cherokee after driving all the others in this segment. No comparison on the ride quality and the amount of features for the money. They had an enormous amount to choose from. Our salesman (Jake Jordan) took a long time to show us many different models and trim levels. Test drove a few for comparison. Decided to spring for the limited and also a v6 for the extra towing capacity. After an initial miscommunication about the exact vehicle, the dealer REALLY went out of their way over the next couple of days to make sure we got the EXACT vehicle for our needs. Tim King (Sales Mgr.) really stepped up and got it done (involving a dealer trade among other things). I feel we got a great price, and what could have been a misstep, turned into a VERY positive experience and showed the character of the dealership! I definitely would recommend this dealership!

Repeat Customer of Tyson Motors (3rd Jeep) - Excellent Sales Team and Price.Experienced a mysterious - hard to troubleshoot issue with 2013 Grand Cherokee Limited still under Warranty related to (transmission/cold weather). The issue was finally resolved through the diligent efforts by Service Advisor (Danny Galvan) and Service Manager (Joe Prno). It took a few days - as the problem was intermittent - but the Tyson Service Team didn't give up and identified and repaired the issue. He set me up with Bill Waytech and within 20 minutes or less they located the Wrangler I wanted. I signed for it on the spot and they had it delivered the very next day. Brought my Dodge 2014 Grand Caravan in for intermittent heater problem. Service dept (Dan Galvan) verified the problem as I drove it in without an appt. He gave me an appt. He wrote up the problem in case it wouldn'tocur again (altho it happened 3 times in the past). I brought the car for apt and Dan had arranged for a loaner so I could get going (he said this type of problem would take more than a day--and it did). It was fied in 2 days and it works better than new. I am pleasedwith this dealer and their staff. I will recommend the sales AND service department to all that need work on their Chrysler product automobiles.

I communicated with JR in regards to a vehicle and had a great experience. JR answered all of my questions promptly and got me every piece of information I asked for. New photos were taken of the vehicle and it was placed in an area where snow wouldnt accumulate. JR even went as far to placing a hold sign in the window of the vehicle when I couldn't make it in due to snow and work. It was above and beyond service. I had some recall work done on my Cherokee Laredo. My service rep was excellent and very attentive. He delivered on what was promised! I was very pleased with the service and timeliness. I was concerned they would not be able to get the work done when promised since the recall took 5 months to get parts. I understand this is not the fault of the dealership but Chrysler/Jeep. My brakes went out the week before scheduled service and they paid to tow it in and got the work done. Thanks for a nice experience.

My wife and I recently visited the dealership because our 08 Honda was starting to develop expensive problems. My wife is a road warrior that puts on heavy miles so we need a car we can depend on. After talking with Tim Slattery and explaining our needs, he had the perfect solution. We looked at a 15 Cherokee Sport and immediately fell in love. This one in particular fit our needs because the 4 cylinder engine paired with a 9 speed transmission gets surprisingly good mileage while the 4x4 capabilities and cold weather package ensure she will arrive to all of her destinations safely and comfortably, regardless of season. We could not be happier with our decision. The entire process was smooth and Tim made sure to explain every step of the way. I was also pleased with the trade in value seeing as some dealerships would only offer $500 for an 08 with 150k miles. We were happiest with the interaction with the salesman. He was not pushy or trying to force a sale. He listened to our questions and concerns and gave us solutions to our problems. We will definitely be back to see Tim.

My Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT has burned up a fan belt 3 years in a row, always on the first really cold night of the new year (January 2013, January 2014 and now January 2015). The service manager and the crew at Tyson have been very good about resolving this problem, and treated the most recent occurrence as a warranty issue (no deductible on my extended warranty). Whenever I have a problem (not that often) I always have my vehicle towed to Tyson, rather than to the nearest dealer, because I trust these people and know that they will give me a fair shake! Whenever it is time to buy a new car, they will be at the top of my list.

Brouhgt in vehicle about 9:00AM and spoke with service writer Dan Galvan. to get driver's side head lamp fixed. Dan checked, without me asking, to see if there was a recall on the head lamp. Sure enough ther was on a wiring harness thta would cause bulb in he lamp t burm]n out. Fixed at N/C due to recall on harness, Dan asked when I needed the vehicle and I told him by early PM as I had an appointment out of town later thtat PM. Had vehicle back by 1:00PM. Also I needed a ride back to my home and picked up after vehicle was fixed. Byron courtesy van driver was supper also.

Franko was the service writer and was great! He was friendly, respectful and a good listener. My wife's Jeep was not starting properly, though the battery and starter tested fine. Anyway, it appears the Jeep is now fixed. Overall, it is difficult to a get an appointment in a timely manner at Tyson. Kidos to Franko (sorry, I don't know his last name). He represents Tyson in a positive manner.However, I would like to remind Kori Hanson (secretary) to smile a little and look at the customer. I will give her the benefit of the doubt and say maybe she wasn't feeling well. But, she certainly wasn't friendly toward my wife and I. Unfortunately, she sends a negative attitude toward the customer. She never looked at me even one time, I don't think. We had to wait while she stapled some papers together. It would have been fine if she say " good afternoon, I'll be right with you". A smile goes along way. Now, just a comment about getting an appointment. I called at least 3 times and was put on hold. Yes, my cell phone reported over 9 minutes on hold, then I was disconnected. If it happens one time, you say, it was a bad day and let it go. However, it seems every time I call for an appointment, I make sure I have a current newspaper to read while I wait. I finally saw on their webpage you can make an appointment online. I would make it easier for the customer to locate this option. In conclusion, although I had a good experience THIS TIME, Tyson has some work to do in developing a superior service department.

I've had the car as of this writing (9/21) for 6 weeks. So far, so good, but you shouldn't expect anything less with a new car. Unfortunately, five hours after I took possession, one of the idiot lights for the passenger side air bag illuminated causing me to have to take the car in the Monday morning after. They had the car for two days waiting for a part that they told me was a defect from the manufacturer. It was not a pleasant start. But my biggest issue was I have not received one call from my Sales guy asking how things were going with the new vehicle. On top of that, I made a simple request for him to order me touch up paint for the little dings and scratches that occur. Two weeks after I took possession, I had not heard from my Sales guy, so I called him. He said he would check, and call me right back. I have not heard from him since, and I had to go in to the dealer to order the paint. It was one of the Sales Managers that ordered and got the paint for me next day. But the Sales guy dropped off the face of my earth. Very disappointed. Do you think I'd send someone to this guy again?

We had visited several dealers and left feeling uninspired but still LOVED the Dodge. The guys at Tyson were amazing! Tim Slattery knew the Rams inside and out. He stayed late, moved trucks all over the lot in the cold and rain to make sure we saw the trucks we wanted to see! Aaron Land & Tim King were engaging and made sure we felt we had the best deal possible. Deal closed, and we were beyond happy...did the service end there, NO...Tim Slattery happily, enthusiastically, spent over an hour showing us all the amazing things the RAM can do. I left the dealer with personal cell numbers and the assurance if I have a question/problem, I will have a friend to help me navigate and solve any situation that may arise. Tim even showed us how to Facetime in the event we missed something during his very thorough tutorial. I really appreciated the fact that if Tim didn't know the answer to one of our questions he didn't lie, he said, "I will have to check on that." I respect the staff at Tyson and would highly recommend the dealership to friends and family!

Tim Slattery is about as good as a dealer to work with that I have ever come across in buying a car. I worked my deal on line with Tim. Not only did I get a very good price on my Jeep Patriot, he didnt go around and around before giving me that price. I have worked with other dealers on line and they could take a while before giving a price or getting to a good buy price. Tim was quick in getting back to me each time I had a question. I asked Tim that before I come in that all the paper work was ready to go, he had it ready and we were in and out of the dealership quickly. I asked him to let me know prior to going in what my financing would be, and he notified me of that prior to getting into the dealership to sign. No hidden cost or bad surprises, he was upfront, patient, very friendly and most important to all of us car buyers.... worked a great deal for me.

We were minivan shopping a few weeks ago. We did our homework and went to about 5 dealerships and after meeting Matt at Tyson and seeing their prices, we decided we would buy the van from Tyson. My husband went there about 4 times looking at different vans, negotiating, etc. Matt would call with vans that came in and was super patient, knowledgeable and kind for all the time my husband took from him :). We weren't the kind of customer that went in to buy a van and came out the same day or even the next. He did everything in his power to get us the best van for the best deal. Super nice guy!! Wasn't pushy and respected what we wanted and the price range we wanted. We came out with a van and feeling that this was the best car experience we have ever had and I can honestly say that I have never had an "awesome" car experience with a dealer, etc. before. I wont even be a part of the car hunting process b/c of pushy salesmen but after my husband told me about Matt, the kids and I came out to look at the vans and Matt was so nice about showing us the vans all over again after showing my husband already. Our salesman, Larry Holcombe, was an upfront, honest salesman who got us a great price and followed through on what he said he would do. He knew we lived 800 miles away and still treated us as if we were from "around the corner". As a result we chose to deal with him and Tyson Motors instead of our local dealer. We were not disappointed.

This is our second vehicle that we've purchased from JR at Tyson. JR is the most reasonable salesperson we have dealt with on both occasions. He is willing to work with us on price and accommodations. As we are on a very tight budget, JR never pushes us to purchase beyond our means like other sales people do. He is patient, even as we change our minds four or five times in the process. He doesn't give us the off-putting high pressure job others do. He's confident to let us shop around, which makes us comfortable, because he knows he's going to give us the best deal. He is knowledgeable and straightforward. It's actually kind of funny that while everyone else is standing around, JR is able to give us plenty of attention as he has multiple deals going on simultaneously. He's human enough to understand our need to have a spare tire in our new car that we're going to put our kids in, which by the way is absolutely ridiculous that a spare tire isn't a standard feature on a vehicle that small children are going to be transported in...but I digress.The finance man Bob is superb. We waited for him because we had him for our first purchase and were very comfortable and confident in him. He explained all the documents that we signed and how the numbers added up so we felt good about the purchase walking out the door. We have suggested to some of our Indiana friends to visit JR, but then when they don't, we learn they end up paying more than what we ended up paying. That tells us that we got the best deal on our purchase. We will be back to JR on our next purchase.

I came in with my boyfriend to look at a 2012 Grand Cherokee Overland that was listed on Cars.com. We were greeted with Bill hovering over our car before we stepped out of the vehicle, which I despise. He could not locate the vehicle and began trying to persuade me to test drive a new one. I saw a 2012 Overland in a different color but he gave some nonsense excuses about why I should drive a brand new one instead. I wasted my time driving a new diesel, which I didn't want. I was looking to trade in a leased Toyota. So, instead of calling my finance company to ask for a lease payoff, he asks for amount of remaining payments as well as payoff amount. He then priced out the options for a new Jeep. I was given a lower offer on my car, and then a price for the new vehicle which did not reflect what they tried to roll in as negative equity. Bill tried telling me I would have to roll in $3000 to make up what I owed on my car PLUS $3800 of my remaining lease payments. This would have been $47,000 for a 2014 Limited Cherokee. When asked where this this was in the $41k presented to us, his response was "it's in the deal" but could not give us details and walked away. He must have thought we bought his BS. A trade is a trade, you just ask for the payment amount in another way for a leased vehicle. I had a bad vibe from the moment I stepped out of the car. I purchased what I wanted, a 2012 Grand Cherokee Limited from Bettenhausen in Orland Park on Saturday. They received a 5 star review. EXCEPTION service, no BS pricing, the paid off my car and I got a fantastic deal. Great dealers are hard to find, even better saleman are few and far between. Bill should go back to his other job as a "gemologist" because his customer service is awful and his sales expertise is even worse.

I would be very cautious when working with them to purchase a vehicle. First off, I'll say that my wife and I had a very pleasant experience with Larry and Josh on our initial visits to the dealership. I had done some preliminary research with Larry on the type of car, and he had suggested we figure out what we want and where we want to be ourselves - without him or anyone pushing certain vehicles on us. I returned with my wife and worked with Josh since Larry was off on the day we decided to test drive a new Van. We had a little price discussion, and as any sales manager is supposed to do, Aaron proposed a price to us before leaving after our test drive. Being the type of people to research over and over, we weren't ready to make a purchase that day, and left with what we felt was a very competitive offer, but had to be sure of what our options were. After deciding on a color and feature combination, we were informed they didn't have the specific vehicle we wanted, and would have to do a dealer trade with some money committed. I never like putting anything up without actually seeing what I'm buying, but trusted the process since we felt they had the best price for the vehicle. We shook hands, and were told the vehicle would be there in a day or so, so we could take delivery by the end of the month. Bill (sales) called to let me know the vehicle was in on the last day of Feb, so I made arrangements to take care of everything after work, and to bring the car home. When I got to the dealer, I was sat down at a desk, and given some forms to fill out with my social and other pertinent information in a rush rush manner. Inquiring about this, I was told it was so the dealership could capture my information for their pipeline, and had no bearing to the vehicle purchase. I questioned the process, only to have Bill get up and walk away twice to talk to management about this before 30 minutes burned away, and was told I had to do this in order to move forward. I then informed him I had not even SEEN the vehicle yet, to which he replied, "ok, fine, lets go see it". When he opened the doors, the interior color was completely different from what was discussed and agreed upon when we had written the original dealer trade order a few nights before. I made Bill aware of this, and his response was "No, you're wrong... those are the colors you requested. Apparently, you cannot read a window sticker". I showed him the difference - and requested my deposit back. Of course I was sat back down at a desk instead and had Aaron come over to tell me he's just as P.O'd about it since it 'wasn't his fault' this happened (The manager responsible said it wasn't his fault). My mind was made up at this point to walk away from the deal, as it appeared to me they knew it was the wrong vehicle and were trying to get me to sign some papers before I saw anything. How something so obvious can be missed is beyond me. I rebuffed the offers for them to get another vehicle, and Aaron just said to me "you know, you had us do a lot of work to find this vehicle since your requirements were very specific. This was very time consuming" as if to guilt me into a purchase. So, I was finally walked back to the cashier to have the refund processed, and after a few minutes, he (Aaron) explained to the cashier what to do, then turned to me and halfheartedly shrugged his shoulders while saying "well, sorry..." put his hand out for me to shake, and then walked away. The deposit was made on 2/25/14 and posted to our credit card account on 2/26/14. The refund was 'processed' on 2/28/14, and as of 3/3/14, still has not shown up on our card activity. I am hoping this is just a product of money taking longer to credit than being taken out - but will update accordingly and take action if nothing has been returned. The pricing was very competitive with other dealers, and they certainly have the volume, but make sure you do your homework beforehand, and don't commit any dollars until you've actually seen what you're getting. Would I buy a car from them in the future, or take my vehicle there for service? Absolutely not. Will you have the same experience as I did there? I have no idea - but make sure you go armed with as much information as you possibly can, review everything with a fine toothed comb, and make sure you get EVERYTHING you ask for in writing!

Aaron was very responsive and reasonable with the price. Josh showed us the car we wanted, and talked about its functions in details. However, we never felt pressured. We walked in cautious of possible pressure as we have had bad experiences before with all the usual tricks you hear about. Nothing of the kind in this dealership. They are fair, knowledgeable and cooperative. There are no hidden fees, they go over the paperwork with you at the speed that fits you, no rushing through, and again, no pressure. The car was prepared relatively quickly. When it's time to buy another car, we will come back.

JR Neilis our salesman and Aaron Lang manager basically hammered out a very good deal with us without even having to step into the dealership via email and telephone calls. We were able to walk in look at our New 2014 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon take it for a drive and just had to sign the papers. It was by far the best car buying experience I have had. This dealership which is about 35 miles from my home is not the closest to my home was worth the extra drive and time. Tyson motor has the best selection in Illinois and the best prices BY FAR. Went there to look for a minivan for my growing family and everone was polite, helpful, and friendly. The sales person took all the time needed to help me find the perfect vehicle that fit all my needs. When it came time for the numbers they worked with me to get the price that I needed to make a deal. Needless to say no other dealer was even close to the price I received. The sales manager (Aaron) was very professional and helped a lot! The paperwork process went smooth and the time was taken to make sure everything was done correctly. Sales person (Larry) took the time to show me how to operate my new vehicle and even set up my bluetooth for me! Very happy with the overall experience and I highly reccomend them to all my friends and family!

Great salesperson who believed in his company set out all of the added value reasons why you should buy. Very complimintery to owner and believes in his products. I purchased a Jeep at Tyson. There were no problems with the sale but I have had nothing but problems with the service since day one. I've brought my Jeep in for an oil change and it was returned to me as completed but the oil was NOT changed. When I took it in for the first tire rotation they broke off one of the lug nuts and then tried to blame me for it. I took it in recently for transmission service that should have taken one day, One week later I got the Jeep back in the evening and discovered the next morning during a snow storm that they failed to reconnect the 4-wheel drive. I had to take it back so Tyson could finish the work that should have been done the first time. How was one week not enough to get the work done correctly? Tyson's service department has a terrible track record of not performing the work correctly, if they do the work at all.I would definitely NOT recommend this dealership to anyone. And if anyone decides to go there anyway, be very careful with purchasing any extended warranty products. I paid a lot of money to have the top of the line full lifetime warranty. When I took my Jeep in for transmission work I was told I should have brought it in a little earlier for a check up but because I didn't my warranty was null and void. Read all the fine print. Do not trust them for anything.

Best vehicle purchase I've ever had. Excellent experience all around. Not just for a Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep dealership, but compared to any dealership. Tyson was easy to get to. I liked that there were so many vehicles on their lot and the building looked nice and inviting; not intimidating. As soon as I entered I was greeted (not ambushed) and asked if I could be helped. From here on out, it was smooth sailing. My salesperson, Tony E., was very well put-together & professional, yet as soon as we started talking he made me feel relaxed and confident that I would be taken CARE of, not taken ADVANTAGE of. And I was. All the way through the process. He was extremely knowledgable and conducted the best test drive I've ever had, by far. I felt confident and comfortable to really drive the car like I do daily. (Not stiff, uncomfortable, rushed, or feeling like I was being watched learning to drive for the first time!)When it was time to crunch numbers Aaron L. came into the picture. A person! Not a piece of paper from a mysterious room! He also was well put-together, professional and extremely knowledgable. Very personable and helpful --not condescending, as if I never took a math class. He genuinely was excited to help me get this car at a great deal. All avenues of communication (internet/email/phone/in person) were prompt, informative, and pleasant. The showroom/dealership (including the restroom) was very clean and well organized. When passing by, other employees gave warm, friendly smiles. Other customers also looked comfortable and happy with their salesperson. Again, a very welcoming, comfortable feeling. Warm & fuzzy is great, but this IS a business transaction! Tyson absolutely knocked it out of the park! Sharp, knowledgable, informative, open, timely, and easy to understand. Never sneaky, arrogant, or uninformed. Right on point. Being a savvy shopper, I was also working with 3 other dealerships to purchase the vehicle I wanted. In the end, it was no contest. Tyson beat out the other dealers on everything (customer service, price, in stock, etc., etc.). Aaron (and Tony) worked WITH me, not against me, and put together a fantastic deal that was perfect for me & my needs. Not theirs. It was a solid, great deal---not a 'tricky, move-the-numbers-around, use big, foreign words' kinda deal. I don't like to refer to anyone here as "salesperson" because I believe that word can have such a negative connotation. They are more like a "Personal Vehicle Buying Assistant". Bob D. was up next. I think this is the person most people fear the most--the Finance Manager! Working with Bob was unlike any experience I had before. He too was well put-together, professional, and knowledgable, yet personable and comforting. This time, the seemingly never ending process of going through and signing paperwork was actually pleasant!My new car was shined up, ready and waiting for me right out the door. As I drove away, I felt as though everyone there was genuinely happy for me and my new car purchase. Not happy because they scammed somebody into a bad deal and a sale for themselves. I replaced the ball joints on my truck and knowing that the next step would be a front end alignment, what better place to go than the dealer WRONG. I also had a coupon from a Chrysler dealer for a front end alignment (69.00). I asked at the service desk if they would honor it and was told they would have to check with the manager. I think there way around this was to tell me that the adjustment rods were so rusty that that they would have to take them off and clean them?????? I know this would require removing the rod out of the upper a arm.instead as with most alignments they sprayed it and adjusted it. I ended up paying twice the coupon price and waiting four hours in the lounge.funny I replaced all four ball joints in my garage in less than four hours

Felt really comfortable. Everyone was really nice! Been to other jeep dealers and have always felt ripped off when we left. They were so nice and they listened to what we wanted and were able to make the sale happen. Basically gave us what we wanted to make the sale. We traded in our old jeep cheoreke and got a great deal on our new jeep Cherokee! Will always go there for our future cars and refer people to go there. It's not that close to where we live either but worth it! We brought our 19 month old daughter with and they never showed to be bothered. Also our salesman mike was very knowledgeable and knew all the answers to our questions. Great experice!

After a number of frustrating days visiting auto dealers and listening to them try to sell me what I did not want I sent a price request quote to 3 or 4 dealers online. Bill from Tyson was one of the first to respond. I received a good price from another dealer on the Dodge Journey I was interested in. I called Bill to see what he had in stock and he told me immediately he had 4 vehicles in stock that meet my needs. When I told him I did have a price from another dealer Bill said we can beat that without hesitation. I went to Tyson Motors and Bill had the color car I preferred ready to drive. I drove it and after he asked me if it meet expectations we talked price. They beat the other dealer price as he stated and we made the deal.It was a pleasure to deal with a salesperson who listened to what I wanted and not try to sell me something I did not want. I went into Tyson a little apprehensive. I had purchased my last vehicle almost 9 years earlier and it was easy to believe that purchasing a car would be a frustrating or difficult experience. I had done some research online for the Dodge Charger and went into the dealer pretty much knowing what I wanted and what the cost should be. Josh was my sales representative and did everything he could to help me out and get me exactly what I was looking for. There were a few initial frustrations related to being unable to get specific packages on the car that were advertised on the Dodge site and in the booklet for the Charger, but that was not the dealers fault. My experience ended up being very pleasant. Josh was able to locate a car in another state that pretty much matched what I was looking and I was given a fair price for the vehicle along with a very good price on a lifetime extended warranty and oil changes. He did whatever he could to make sure I was completely satisfied before I signed any contract. If you are looking for a car Josh is definitely a person you should talk to, especially if you are feeling a little uncomfortable about buying a car. I have purchased two cars from Tyson Motor and I would very much recommend them to anyone looking for a new car. I would only suggest that people do their research before walking into the dealer which makes the experience better for the sales person and the buyer so there is no need for confusion, haggling, or frustrations over cost.

This was a great dealer to work with. Set up an appointment for 8pm and the car was ready to go when we arrived, It was a very friendly environment. There was a bit of confussion which caused us to have to stay over night in a hotel nearby, Tyson paid for that stay. Everyone involved with my purchase was going out of their way to make it go as smoothly as possible. From the communication via email to the paperwork at the dealer, was very pleasant. Again there was a bit of a issue with paperwork, and there were a few people that were not present to sign, so Tyson followed me to my home 1.5 hrs away with the car I purchased, and a dealer car to have the proper signatures, and then left the car. OVerall it was a great experience, a bit frustrating at times, but none of that was due to the dealership.

I was looking around for a vehicle on line at several dealerships. I found a vehicle that I was interested in and requested a test drive. Bill emailed back and we set up a day. We were emailing back and forth over a couple of days during a weekend. We set up for me to come in on a Thursday. In the mean time, I asked about financing and Bill advised to fill out the on line app as this may speed up the process. We also set up for me to come in on that Monday to drop off some paperwork to assist in the financing. Since I work nights, my schedule is very hectic since I have to pick up my kids by 3:00pm. I got to your dealership around 1:30 and met with Bill. He have the vehicle (2008 Chevy HHR) washed and since I had some time to kill, we took it for a drive. Love the car. We got back to the dealership, worked out the numbers and had a deal. I gave my down payment and agreed I would come back that evening to finish the finance paperwork.I came back that evening around 6:30, met with the finance man. I was out by 7:30.This is the second vehicle my wife and I purchased at Tyson in the last 18 months and look forward to future purchases.It was a pleasure to work with Bill and hope to work with him again in a few years.Thank you,

I purchased a new 2013 Jeep Wrangler for my wife and Bill Smith went above and beyond ANY other dealership that I had correspondence with (I contacted EVERY Jeep Dealer with 100 miles of my residence). I especially liked the fact that at NO time did I feel pressured or bothered by Bill to make the purchase. In a span of 4-5 weeks I had other dealers calling, texting and emailing me pestering me to buy now at much higher prices. I am most impressed with the fact that Bill Smith was very straight forward and honest from the beginning and the purchase price I was quoted was the price I paid! I did most of the research and negotiation by phone. It was end of the year and my sales person was likely busy dealing with customers in the showroom. I was a bit frustrated initially and thought about writing this dealership off. That said, I was interested in the rare 2012 Call Of Duty Jeep which had an attractive internet based price. After several days and getting over the initial frustration for the sales person not getting back to me as he promised; I reached out to the dealership and they directed me to Aaron (New Car Manager) and we did almost all of the negotiations over the phone. To his credit; when I arrived, except for the lack of detailing on the vehicle that I expected; there were NO surprises. Moreover, my sales person did his part to close out the transaction; test drive, questions, etc. The vehicle was washed yet not completely clean on the outside and certainly not detailed. On the vehicle detailing; they gave me an IOU and that was completed within several days due to my schedule. The service department guys were awesome! In short, as with any dealer, I think you need to do your homework and look out for your best interests at all times. All of that said, I am very satisfied with my buying experience and price from this dealership. They provided a great price, and fair trade amount. Most importantly, they kept their word which means more than anything if you really think about it. This is especially true of Aaron and the Service Department guys as my car detailing was complete and they made a slight adjustment to address my other concerns. Car rental was also provided at their expense as promised.Right now, I am very happy and would recommend the dealership. My only suggestion to them is to have the cars fully cleaned and detail ready PRIOR to customer delivery to avoid unnecessary hassles and complications for everyone. My Jeep is Black and you really do need to fully inspect a vehicle before taking delivery. I have read some not so great reviews on here yet I can only state that my experience was relatively positive. Were there a few areas of improvement; yes as called out. However, I would gladly purchase from them again.COD 2012

Possibly the worst car buying experience I have ever had! Will not be returning to tyson for any vehicle purchases. I was treated with zero respect, and was told I had to make my decision now...I dont make a decision like that without thinking it over first. I will not recommend this dealership to anyone. I literally walked out of the meeting with the salesman after being fed up with him and his sales manager. The employees are on a revolving door around this place.

First, i have bought 4 new JEEPS from Tyson and our hats go off to Jim Kinney and how he has made the buying of a new veichal Easy with his easy to get along with personallity and i am going in to buy my 5th from them. i always do my price checking, and go to them and see what they can do.. and thats why im buying my 5th from them. Well got my 5th from them and my son just bought his 2nt New Jeep from them. We had the Pleasure of dealing with Bill Smith for the sons Jeep and we commend him for taking the time to make the deal work for us, He was a very diligent sales Person and it seems that he not only went the extra mile But will continue to follow up long after the sale was completed. I do not write reviews on my personal life except if it will help others.and buying a new Jeep/vehicle is a long and sometimes aggravating thing they seem to attend to your needs a lot better then other dealers.

I visited about four other dealerships before choosing to purchase from Tyson, by far they are the most friendliest and created a feeling of zero pressure to make the purchase if I was not ready (or felt I could not afford the vehicle). Aaron was very sincere and extremely nice; he is an honest and open Sales Manager and does not conduct himself like other managers at other dealerships did. I would recommend this dealership to everyone looking for a Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler, or Ram; they are phenomenal.

I contacted the dealership via the Internet and I immediately received a response from Bill Smith with information about the car that I had inquired about. I asked Bill to provide me with the best price and he responded within 5 minutes with the price. I set up a test drive appointment and when I arrived Bill had the keys and the car was parked in front of the dealership ready to go. I told him that I had other cars to test drive and Bill offered to hold the car until I decided. Bill was very low pressure and understood that I wanted to try other vehicles out. The reason I came back and made the purchase was Bill and the way he handled the inquiry/test drive process. The day of the purchase the price that I was provided was the exact price that I paid and the it went quickly. The car was fully detailed and ready to taken home. I could not be happier with how the entire car buying experience went.

I drove 2.5 hours each way out of state to this dealership after discussing a used SUV over the phone for 2 days with the salesman. He gave me a rough estimate for my trade-in and a price for the vehicle that I wanted to purchase. We had agreed on a purchase price and I came with a check in hand. When I got to the dealership everything changed. The salesman went back and forth and kept leaving the room to discuss the price with the sales manager, that I was not allowed to even meet or speak with. It was ridiculous. After 3 hours of this I had enough and decided to leave. A half hour later when I was on my way back home the salesman called and said will you please come back we WILL give you the price you were quoted before. At this point I was so frustrated I told him to forget it and ended up buying the same SUV somewhere else where I didnt have to deal with games that Tyson Motors likes to play. I would never return to this dealership and would encourage anyone to continue looking elsewhere. They know nothing about customer service or even general respect for people!!!!

Not impressed with the condition of the car sold. The price was fair (blue book value exactly),although the sales manager absolutely would not negotiate the price at all (even though there was damage to the car). The car was used understandably, but they did not try to fix the damage on the car. Dents and rust on a car less than 5 years old. The inside of the car was clean but not detailed. Salesman was nice but not knowledgeable on the vehicle we were looking to purchase. The trade in value they offered was insulting ($3500 below blue book value). When financing, they tried to upsell Gap coverage that would never benefit us on the small amount we were financing.

They followed through in a timely manner and did everything that we agreed to and I felt very satisfied with the transaction. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle Bill Smith stayed with me all the way through and made sure that everything was done satisfactorly. He was very helpful, professional and very respectful. He went through the trade in and made sure all my items were transferred over. He explained each item and how they function. Josh Galiher worked with me and the owner to get the vehicle that I wanted from another dealership. He stayed on the transfer until it arrived at the show room and made sure the additems that we agreed upon were installed and ready for delivery.He was off the next day but had Bill Smith help me with delivery of the vehicle as descriped above

I was looking for a new 2012 jeep liberty 4x4 in red or green with options suitable to my needs. I visted three dealers and spoke with four additional dealers over the phone. Dealing with people in sales.Some spoke to me in a condescending tone. other where miss informed. I was told by one that I had to buy only what was on his lot. He would not even look for anything else. Some said the options I wanted are not to be found on a jeep already built. I asked if thay would increase the search area and I would pay for shiping Still the same responce. Then one of them said why dont I have one built, she said it would only take 6 to 8 weeks to build. She had a fare price. The wife was at work talking with fellow workers about the jeep , one said did you try Tyson of Shorewood yet. that night I called Tyson and spoke with JP he said to come in and he could match or beat there price. When we arrived we were greeted by JP with a heart felt welcome. WE spoke of the jeep and the build time he told me that the plant would close for chirstmas and would not be 6 to 8 weeks but possible much longer. I could'nt wait that long... we begin to speak of the options I wanted. within ten min he found what I was looking for at another dealers lot!! With the price tag that was right on my mark. Not even 19 hours later It was there for me to pick up. JP seamed to be great family man with good values. I hope he stays in sales. I would buy all my future chyslers from him. Tyson is my kind of place no hassles, gimmicks or scams . Just good service.

I went to this dealership after visiting one other. I was looking for a tan color 2012 4door Jeep Wrangler. I saw one that I liked on Tyson's website. Although it had already been sold by the time I got there, JP worked with me to explore other options. Since there were none to be had in the color I wanted, I asked him to search for one in white with a black hard top. He located one, worked with me on finacning, and a trade in on my 2005 2door Jeep Wrangler. When the Jeep that I wanted was to be picked up from the other dealer, JP called to let me know that the black hardtop had been replaced with a white hard top. Because JP had spent time with me and knew that I was ADAMANT about getting exactly the color/type of wrangler that I specified, he went the extra mile and located two others so I would be happy. I ADORE my new Jeep! I am brand loyal when deserving and the Jeep product is entirely so. Thank you JP and Aaron for making this such a postive experience with an excellent outcome.

I am a very proud owner of a 2012 Dodge Avenger and I have Tyson Motors & two great employees, JP & Felix, to thank for that. JP was great to work with; he made me feel so welcomed & I felt like he was sincerely going to do everything he could to get me this car. My wife simply requested information on a toxic orange charger 2011. Aaron replied in a timely manner with all the information and a great price within minutes. He then personally checked on the car for me as I brought my 3 kids with to buy it. I was in and out of the dealer quickly with no hassles at all. DON"T service your car here! Had work done under warranty! When i picked it up THE NOISE WAS BETTER,BUT NOT GONE! Tyson told me it was the new parts they need to break in.Well 5000 miles and 5 months the noise got worse! They misdiagnosed it the first time!!! They fixed the wrong thing!!!!!!!!!! Took it back an they told me "it's out of warranty can't help you". I ASKED THEM ABOUT THE 12 MONTH 12000 MILE warranty on the work that they did ? THE ANSWER I GOT WAS IT NOT THE SAME PROBLEM.STEER CLEAR OF TYSON!!!!!

We came to Tyson looking to buy a Dodge Challenger. Brad was very helpful and gave us a real test drive. Not like other dealers we went to where they wouldn't even take the stickers off the windows and just let us drive more than a mile. It wouldn't have taken much though as a Challenger was what I wanted. We worked out a good deal quickly and Brad stayed late (it looked like the place had closed already) to let us take delivery. This dealer is even smart enough to ask before drilling holes into the front bumper for the license plate mount - which I declined to do, of course. Brad told us they did that before and a customer was very unhappy and they had to replace his front bumper. At least they learned from it. Most dealers still drill holes and mount the front license plate frames on the Challengers before they even sell the cars. I most likely would not have bought the car if they had already mounted the front frame. I have been in for service with the car already for some cosmetic fixes due to poor quality control at the Chrysler plant, and this dealer's service department has always been polite and had great customer service. The only thing - they did not have any R/Ts on the lot when I was there to buy, and sometimes I find myself wishing I had waited for an R/T. But who knows, maybe I'll trade up to an R/T at Tyson if the deal is right

We came in for a minivan and met JP Vaughan. He knew so much about the vans I assumed he had one himself! We were treated with respect and fairness by JP and his Manager Kenny. I had been to this dealership for service in the past. I was very happy with the overall experience with the service dept. I just called to find a new or used vehicle for business use, I knew exactly what vehicle I needed. I knew this was not a popular vehicle to be on the lot. I spoke with JP and he really wasn't interested in finding me the vehicle. He stated this vehicle is usually custom ordered and in his 8 years he has never seen one on the lot, sorry. Well, sorry to you JP. I have found 4 of these vehicles on other car lots in the area and I was willing to order one, but you didn't give me the chance. I guess you didn't need the sale today.

Have never been treated with so much disrespect after purchasing a car. After the sale was made the customer service aspect went out the window. The sales manager and the owner of the business were extremely rude and inappropriate. What happened to treating people how you want to be treated? Honestly, I am not sure how a place that treats people so rudely can stay in business. Please don't make the same mistake and be fooled like we were. DON'T BUY FROM TYSON!

EXCELLENT! We have been searching for a larger car for two years and have had a awful runaround at other dealers. From first phone call to purchase this dealer was honest and helpful. This dealer was polite, not pushy, and in a world of buy it! Buy it! Buy it! pleasant!My two year old daughter was talked with and they even got down on her level , which as a parent is very nice to see. Brad ( our salesman) was very busy because we came at a peak time but he took the time to ask our daughter questions and get her balloons . Bob ( the finance guy) IMMEDIATELY without having to be asked offered our daughter several pieces of paper and a box of crayons to color with. We bought a 1999 Durango and are very pleased. Buying a used car can be a hassle but it felt so easy here. We were made to understand that the item was as- is and understood why ( some minor issues that we didn't mind ) and that there were no guarantees. Overall a GREAT experience and a wonderful car!

I purchased a used vehicle from Tyson, and despite the relatively small profit margin on the used vehicle I purchased, I was treated with exceptional customer service, and professionalism. Aaron Lang, Sales Manager, was outstanding to deal with and I would not buy another car without going through him. The entire transaction was smooth and resulted in an extremely competitive price for the vehicle purchased. Of special note is the amazing follow up and customer service Mr. Lang provided even months after the transaction was complete. A certain accessory was missing from the vehicle that was critical to the video entertainment system. Mr. Lang contacted the original owner several times to try and get the item. Eventually, he provided a new part at no charge to our family. This was clearly over and above what was expected, resulting in an extremely satisfied and life time customer.

Everyone was friendly and answered any questions that we had. We did not feel uncomfortable or pressured in any way. Selection of cars that we had an interest in was good. We could tell that this was a good dealership by the many visitors that were present. We purchased a vehicle from this dealership several years ago and were as impressed this time as we were in the past. We will indeed consider them when we are ready to purchase again.

I first started to look at the cars that they had in stock over the internet with J.R. Neilis sending me pictures of the car that I liked. Response on this was very quick. I decided to go to the dealer and drive the car I was looking at and dealt with Aaron Lang and JP Vaughan. JP took me out for a test drive and was very knowledgeable about the vehicle. He showed me the car inside and out, discussed the features that the car had and answered all my questions. He is very knowledgeable and was very helpfull. In the end I worked with JP and Aaron to work out a deal on the car and we were able to get the payment down to where I could purchase the car. I had a great experience with these people. I have not dealt with the service department yet but hopefully they are as helpful as the guys I dealt with in purchasing the vehicle. By the way, I bought a Challenger RT and love it!!!

First of all Bill met my wife and I as we were looking over a new stow-n-go van and politely introduced himself and asked if he could help us. We told him the van we were looking at had all the options and was the color we wanted. He told us he would go get the key and we could take it for a test drive. Then we talked price and explained our budget. Aaron stepped in and my wife left. That was time to deal, I told Aaron what I could afford and he made it work for me. I know he needs to make money and I knew what I could afford and I am sure we were both happy with the deal. My wife and I are just thrilled. I never had a sales manager talk as if he realy cared about me and what I could afford before. Bob did the paper work and we drove off in our new van. Thanks to them all for making my new car buying a pleasurable experience...:o)...

I went to the dealer to get a few rust spots repaired. The Durango in question has approximately 65k miles and was < 3 years old. The repair guy first misquoted their own warranty on the car exterior telling me it was only 3yrs/36k miles which of course is completely wrong. After getting completely hassled and turned down because they said it was out of warranty (wrong) and that it was body perforation (they try to give you some bs definition about it being surface rust and not a paint adhesion problem - I could see the bubbling under the paint - sure no adhesion problem - what a joke) I was summarily dismissed. Walked outside, called Naperville Dodge on the PHONE, they said no problem, bring it and we'll fix it, and btw it's 100k on the body. I then walked back in completely miffed and asked what kind of bs operation was this. Of course, the Manager comes out to "reassess" the rust and barely agrees that I may have been right and now asks them to schedule a time to repair it. Of course I left, I just wanted to prove my point.

Terrible experience with Aaron Lang. He was willing to accept our 2006 Grand Caravan lease return originally only under the condition if we buy/lease a new one from him. Poor representation for Tyson Motors and Chrysler brand. Consumers have the choice to buy at several places or dealers but it's the service that sells the brand and the loyality towards a product. You not only lost my business but also of anyone I speak to.

I am 50 years old and this is the worst experience of my all life.On Monday April 24, 2007, I had a phone call fron Aaron Lang. He told me that he had a great minivan for me. I went over there and he showed me a 1999 Plymouth Voyager. When I took the minivan for ride Aaron came with me in the ride. I wanted to ride the van to the tollway, but Aaron told me not to, arguing that the trafic is very buzy in this time and is going to be late. He was telling us that he is loyal toward the costumers. I believe him and so April 24, 2007 at 6:30 PM, I sign the papers and I bought this minivan.On Saturday April 29, 2007 at 10:30 AM this minivan (1999 Plymouth Voyager died. (The engine failed). I towed the minivan to the TYSON in Shorewood, Il, and than the nightmare starts.I met Aaron Lang and told him that my car is dead. He said that he was with coatumers but with be with mw soon. After about 50 minutes he came back and told me that he is not going to pay for towing (cost me $154.00) or for anything else. He said that he sells cars all the time and as soon as cars are out of the dealer's property the new owners are in their own.That did not make any sense to me. I pleased him at least to fix the van, but he gave me the worst look that made me feeling very low. I met and Jim (sales manager). He was very brutal with me. He said that he does not want to help me whatsoever. He called the police and he wanted my van to be removed from the dealer's property.Those people in Tyson dealer in Shorewood, IL, have no integrity, respect or anything good towards their costumers.This nightmare that I went thru I wish even my worst enemy to go thru.If you think to go and buy a car to this Tyson dealer, do a favor to yourself DO NOT DO any bussines with them. Go somewhere else.
