My sister Margie took her 2012 Chevrolet Cruze to be serviced for oil change/filter. The Service Dept. did an excellent job taking down info and getting the job done right. All the employees were respectful and courteous to her. I even heard the Owner & President of the Company, Mr. Domingo Vara Jr. came out to greet her and was very nice. He listened to her complimenting his courteous Staff of employees and even took time to walk with her and tell the Service Dept. they had one happy & satisfied customer. Being the thoughtful person my sister has always been; she brought the Vara Chevrolet Service Dept. & staff complimentary snacks and drinks knowing they are working hard diligently in the intense heat. Special thanks to Mr. Ernest Reyna and Ms. Amber for taking care of my sister's cherished baby, her Cruze. Thank you Mr. Domingo Vara Jr. for being such a respectful owner and down to earth person by greeting my sister and taking time to talk with her and allow her to thankfully give back to your kind workers. I was impressed with the time it took to service my truck with an appt. I was not pleased with the information given to me when I made the appt though, she told me it was covered when it wasn't and I had to pay for the cabin air filter change. Please educate the girls making the appts how important that is to U.S. consumers because if I didn't have the money, it would have been a waste of my time. Bathrooms were dirty..

I was very pleased with the way I and my father were treated by both Mr. Kong and Mr. Mora. My only complaint was that I was told I'd be getting the GAP for my new car but when we got to the financing, the gentleman did not offer GAP to me. I truly wish I could have the GAP I was told I'd get.But otherwise, on the whole, I am extremely happy with my new car.

Was scheduled for a recall on the ignition switch and 1st appointment fell thru so was scheduled another appt went and had to reschedule BC they didn't have the part recall must not be to important does anybody know a Chevy dealer on south side please help

I went to get a recall fixed, they had told me that once it was done the key wouldn't get locked in the ignition. AFTER the service was performed they told me that the key would continue to get stuck and they could do nothing about it. When going to pick up the car, i asked to speak to the owner, they first said "he wasn't available " soo after, he comes out. When asking him what could we do, and tried to tell him the situation, that he wouldn't listen to and kept talking over, he then said "well maybe you should pay more money to get a better car." It is their "craftsmanship" that came to this recall. He pretty much said their cars are not good enough.

Made an appointment online for my FREE oil change on Saturday 8-30-2014 for 8 am. It took 3 hours for an oil change. When we arrived friendly staff came up to our vehicle and said sorry about the wait we will be with you shortly. Second person came by and asked are you here for your oil change, we said yes and we told her we made an appointment online. She then tells us that to do not make appointment online for Saturdays? (Well I did and have made 2 other appointments online since then). Young lady then say oil change should take about 1 1/2 hour. We decided to wait, we moved up in line when finally the service manager asked what we were there for, we told him an oil change and that we scheduled an 8 am appointment. He said that Saturdays are first come first serve and that I should not have been able to do so. (well once again I did and have schedule 2 fake appointment for this Saturday 9-6 online). After two hours of waiting for my FREE oil change, I asked to speak with the service manager Jose Rodriguez, he was very apologetic and said that Saturdays are on a 1st come 1st served. But I MADE AN APPOINTMENT. He then says he would pull a service guy and start working on my car. Waited another hour before it was complete. Jose was very apologetic and kept making excuses and recommendations for next time, Never did I feel that my being and wasting 3 hours of our day was important to them. Still upset with service received and that morning I kept seeing David Vara there, I should have complained to him. PLEASE FORWARD HIM THIS MESSAGE. This was my second visit. J LopezSan Antonio

Well first the greeting from the salesman was great and the service was outstanding. The salesman Carlos Jimenez did a fantastic job explaining everything in detail from the contract and towards how the vehicle works. I have been a chevrolet owner since I was 18 years old, Long lasting trucks. I still own a 1994 Chevrolet 4*4 nearly 300 Thousand Miles and still running strong best motors GMC has ever made. I will continue to do business with Domingo Vara Chevrolet and I will always own a Chevrolet. Thank You Roger Antopia.

I purchased my 2014 Silverado in July, 2013 and was very happy with it, until I noticed the noise coming from the engine compartment, a knocking noise. I brought this to the attention of your service department and I spoke with one of your service department managers, "He said that unless a light on my instrument panel came on, it was nothing and not to worry about it". Well I am worried about it because what I foresee happening is that everything will run fine until after my 3 year/36,000 mile warranty expires and it won't be something minor, it will probably be something major that will be costly, so I am hoping that something can and will be done about this before its to late.I believe that Chevrolet makes a fine vehicle and I believe that whatever engine problem that my Silverado may be experiencing is a one in a million, a fluke if I may. I also happen to own a 2002 Avalanche that I purchased new in 2002 and is still on the road today, passed it onto my teenage son, and has never given me any major problems and in the near future my spouse will be purchasing a Chevy Camaro because we believe in the fine vehicles made by Chevrolet and we are a Chevy Family.I find myself rating your staff and services as excellent because my vehicle problems have nothing to do with them.Concerned Chevy owner ...

Everyone I talked to was nice, a couple of people greeted me just passing by. John, my salesperson, helped me get the Equinox we wanted. I like the print out of the car payments and various down payments he showed me to give me good idea what my payments should be. The finance officer, Criss, his office was hot. I don't know if that is a "sales technique" to get you out the door faster but my wife and daughter were not comfortable. I enjoyed going around and meeting different people at several departments there at Vara, everyone was nice and professional. Overall I enjoyed buying from VARA and would buy again.

Maybe I'm spoiled but the last few times I had my oil changed was at dealerships that have a separate "fast lane" for tire changes, oil changes, lube jobs etc. I was at your dealership for almost three hours. We had a superb experience at Vara Chevrolet this past Friday. We were only there to get an oil change and ended up driving out a new truck. Our sales person Carlos Jimenez was great. Our business manager David Garcia was also great and he was able to get us the best APA we have ever had and for just $50 more a month we have a lot more coverage. We had a great experience last year when we bought our other truck but this experience was even better. It was pretty much stress free. I bought some dress shirts from the store in your dealership that have the VARA Chevrolet emblem and wear them with pride. I am proud to advertise for your dealership.

Our car would not start and John Rodriguez the Service Manager personally went to where we were. Jon got the car started and we went directly to the dealership. Everyone from the service coordinator that worked with us to the Service Manager keep us informed at all times what the status of the repair was. Special thanks to the service coordinator, unfortunately I did not get his business card but they proved that our decision to keep our business on the South Side was the best decision we could have made.

Although it was a poor start, once Ernest and Sandy found out what the problem was on not only the recall which is what I was there for, they also found a problem with the timing chain that was still under waranttee. Then things sped up and the treatment & care were excellent. Both Sandy and Ernest made sure everything was taken care of as quickly and as professionally as possible.

I was a previous customer and had such a great experience, I thought I'd look into Vara again. The sales rep was great and very upfront. The internet dept answered all my questions regarding the vehicle I was interested in and was amazingly helpful. Jeanette, thank you! The maintenance service is very thorough and have lots of coupons and specials. I knew what vehicle I wanted and with an internet discount, I was given a great deal. A few minutes later she replied back and was always fast at replying back and answering my questions. I have had many good experiences with Vara in the past but the best may have been when I recently upgraded to a new Silverado. Not only was I treated with the great customer service that they always seem to give me but I got a monthly payment below what I was looking for so now Il have about and extra 100 dollars a month to put towards other stuff.

David and the whole staff at Vara treated me like family, you can tell they always try to out the customer first. They had the perfect Equinox for me and got me a good price without a lot of back and forth. It nice to find a dealership that doesn give you the run around, thanks guys.

My second car/truck from Vara and they have always treated me right, they are always friendly and easy to work with. I got a great deal on a new Silverado for work and they worked with me to get the monthly payments to a spot that I could afford. Thanks guys! This truck is awesome and a pleasure to drive everyday.

They worked with me to find a car that I could afford that would be reliable and get better gas mileage then my old car. After working with Manny and some of the staff going over my options I settled on a 2010 Malibu it the perfect car at the perfect price. The paper work was done quickly and I was on the road in no time.

I have been using Vara as my families place for service for awhile now so when me and my wife decide we need something with a little more room Vara was our first and pretty much our only choice. Just like the service department the sales staff puts the customer first, they got us a deal that worked in our budget and now we have a great traverse that easily fix the whole family and all our stuff.

The staff at Vara is great they think about the customer first and foremost. I had done a bit of homework on the internet before going into the dealership so I knew the car and price I was looking for I told me salesperson and he made it happen no haggling or bull. They made it so easy I got the car I wanted at the price I wanted and nothing I didn want.

I recently bought a 2012 Traverse and the experience was the best I ever had. The sales department made it work within my budget and were very informative when it came time to explain all the great options that it came with. Vara is a great place to do business I have had my families other car repaired in their service department, Walter and rest of the staff always treated me right and I glad to see that the sales department is no different.

I found a 2012 Silverado that was perfect for me and with a little help from my salesperson Manny I got a price that was easily in my budget. They treat you right at Vara I had few experiences with the service department a year or so ago with my old work truck so when I was looking for more of a family car I knew that they treated people right. I knew what I was looking for and staff worked with me to get me a great price on a new Malibu with all the options I wanted.

We had a great buying experience!! Me and my wife were already somewhat familiar with Vara since we started to bring her car here for service when we moved to the area. So we knew we would be treated right and we were. There was no pressure and the price we got was very fair. We love our new Chevy and will continue to be loyal Vara customers.

This is the only place I bring my vehicles for service. My truck had some black scuffs on the hood after being in storage for 2.5 years. Walter got them buffed out, did it without an appointment and at no cost. Five Stars just outstanding customer service.

I purchased a 2012 Chevy Cruze at Vara Chevrolet for my daughter. A vehicle we both love. The salesman, Roland Rivas, was very helpful in selecting a vehicle within my price range. I was involved in an auto accident in May 2011. I then went to Domingo Vara Chevrolet for my estimate where I received excellent service from Steve Cortinas, Body Shop Estimator. He was sincerely concerned with my damages and my well-being. As he wrote my estimate....he also called Enterprise Rent A Car and got me back on the road! During the entire repair process Mr. Cortinas kept me updated with the progress of my vehicle repairs. In four days my car was repaired beautifully and I received a Lifetime Warranty on the repairs to my vehicle for as long as I own the vehicle! Since then I have recommended Vara Chevrolet Collision Center to my friends and amily and I will continue to do so!

First I would like to note that I have been a customer of Vara Chevrolet for over 10 years. They continue to provide my family and I excellent customer service and great quality of work.I brought in my 2002 TrailBlazer for some body shop work on 8/22. They promised it would be ready by 8/26/2011. Not only did they complete it by the deadline originally stated, but the quality was almost as if I had just purchased a new TrailBlazer. Initially, I told Walter that I wanted the truck to look as if no damage had ever been done. He knew I was serious about the statement I had made. He also knows I'm a very particular type of individual when it comes to our trucks.
