I went Friday evening 09/02/2016 hoping to get good deal on car just before labor week-end ,The sale person seemed nice enough, But the guy who was adding the price for the car his name was Alex he was very rude pushy , Just walks into the room took over like the sale person wasn't even there .The sale man was very nice but this Alex was PUSHY I couldn't wait to get out there .He was trying to pressure me into buying a car .He was trying to sale a car to me cheap payment high rate On used car .I went there checking prices and I want to buy a car from there but being treated like that I wasn't about to do business there.

This group was good at getting me in on a moments notice. I had no cool air coming in my car. So I just came in to see what they could do. They fixed the problem then did an oil change for me as well. Great dealing with these kind of mechanics. I would remmend them.

VERY displeased with their service department dropped car off to get alignment said would be roughly one hour, left cell number asked if they could call when done told them son needed to head up north on sunday for work said sure no problem well guess what no call, this is saturday closed on sunday called back got answering service said she would pass them a message called twice GUESS no returned call so over wiuld tate this company with a BIG FAT ZERO would not recomend to anyone thats all i have to say about that!

My wife and I drove from Paducah, Kentucky, with another person planning to buy one car and co-signing for her financing. We had called our local Chevy dealer in Paducah, but the person we talked to was so rude and was rushing us so fast, we decided to look elsewhere. Our salesmen at Vic Koenig, Lynn and James (but particularly Lynn) were extremely patient with us and didn't pressure us into anything. They worked with us through every step of the buying process and the financing department was amazing. Not only were we able to co-sign for the person we drove up there to buy a car in the first place, but both my wife and I walked out with two beautiful vehicles ourselves. I cannot believe we bought three cars in one day but we did and we have no regrets. And I also want to thank Crystal for putting up with an annoying old man who was standing around bored and talking her ear off for half a day while his wife was working out financing. Everyone at this dealership was friendly, professional and allowed us to make the decisions WE wanted to make without applying pressure to do this or that. Thanks to all of you. We love our vehicles.

The buying exp. was so easy and all the staff was super friendly. We done a lot of the things needed to get qualified over the phone and when we got there things were ready to go. Most places say yes we have you approved then you get there spend all day and they end up wanting a co signer or a huge down payment, not with Vic Koenig, they got us into a brand new car without having either.The only thing I would suggest is that they get an area for small children to play. I had to take my car in for an oil change with a 1 1/2 yr. old, that part was not fun at all although they did give her a balloon to play with.

Over the past couple of months I have had to have my company truck repaired twice. Each time a different issue; and each time fast, friendly and excellent service! The squeak was not fixed, but I decided to trade it in during your sale that day, so now it is not bothering me at all. My salesman was very helpful. The only part of the sale that I was disappointed in was the length of time it took to complete. I have a very busy schedule and it took hours to get to the point that the paper work was done. I understand someone came in to do paperwork just before I got back to the dealer. I would have preferred to do other errands over sitting and waiting. In the future, I hope I can say I want the vehicle, get approved, and schedule a time to do paperwork when the paperwork is ready and the person filling it out is ready so I do not have to waste my time.

For the past 18 years, Vic Koenig Chevrolet in Carbondale, Illinois, has been my one and only Chevrolet dealership. During that time, I have purchased at least three brand new Chevys from them and have enjoyed each one. When it comes time for servicing my cars, I always think first to take them to Vic Koenig for everything: oil changes, repair, recalls, and whatever else the car might need.All the people there have always been extremely nice to me and very professional. They know me by name and greet me as soon as I drive in. They are always cordial but, at the same time, also very businesslike. And I really like the newly renovated facilities. They have modernized everything from the show room to the restrooms. The whole place is more spacious and very beautiful. With luxuries like customer shuttle service, a luxurious customer waiting room, and many other perks, I can hardly wait to take my vehicle to Vic Koenig. In response to my post below regarding the engine rebuild needed on my 2005 Ford Taurus, I wish to add the following: The staff at Vic Koenig has responded promptly and responsibly. They said they often can't tell what kind of problems a car will have when they buy it used from someone. They inspect the safety of the vehicle and do some moderate driving but they say the customer can always tell if there are deeper problems with a vehicle after driving it for a few weeks to months. My mechanic has replaced a faulty IAC valve that originally may have caused the problem and the valves in the engine. Jeremy at Vic Koenig has kept in touch with me on behalf of Vic Koenig during this process. The dealership has agreed to reimburse me for all costs associated with what would have been paid under the power train warranty as invoiced, including the cost of a rental car for the entire month. I couldn't have asked for a better response from Vic Koenig Chevrolet.

I bought a used car with 60,000 miles on it in March of 2013. In December of 2013, I found out I needed to replace 9 valves in the engine. Vic Koenig would not honor the warranty--they said I voided it by not rotating my tires the first time I got my oil changed. They recommended I have my own mechanic fix the car as it would be cheaper. I am going to submit an invoice to them and I will post the resolution to this problem. I am a single mother of a 16-month old and this has cost me almost $2,000. I hope they will stand behind their product.

I am writing this review before my situation is resolved. I will update with a resolution. I bought a used car with 61,000 miles on it in March of 2013. In December of 2013, I found out I needed to replace nine valves in the engine. Vic Koening would not honor the warranty--they said I voided it the first time I got my oil changed there due to not rotating my tires. August 19th, 2013 Four days ago we finally get a car that my wife has always wanted, a 2004 Chrysler Sebring Convertible. We traded our 2 motorcycles and our '93 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Convertible in on this Sebring at Vic Koenig in Carbondale. Today, I walked out into the garage and found a radiator fluid puddle under the car. I texted Dion, the salesman about it and he said, Talked with management and we didnt make any money on deal and it was a as is vehicle and not much we can do. Remember this was only four days ago, two business days ago. So I took it to a company that I trust to check it out. They are a local company that takes care of our personal and business vehicles. They said the water pump is leaking and needs replaced. It has been leaking for a while. The total for the repairs is $840. They said Vic Koenig had to have known it was leaking and was bad. I took the car to Vic Koenig where I waited for thirty-five minutes on Mike Price, the general manager. When Mike and Dion, finally came out to talk to me, I asked their permission to record the entire conversation. Mike said that was no problem. The only option he would give me is to take the car back and give me my vehicles back. I've already put $320 into the car by tinting the windows and putting in an iPod jack. So, I told him no. I asked him to write me a check for $840 to fix the car or just buy the car back from me at retail. He said no. I told him that $840 was a small price to pay to fix a car that they sold me that had problems and was a lemon versus having to pay for all of the license fees, title fees, etc. Even after threatening to contact the Attorney Generals office, the B.B.B. bad reviews on the Internet etc. He still said no. Here is some more of the conversation with Mike and what was said while knowing he was being recorded: We dont take care of every customer that has a problem, because we sell those types of cars. I brought up the fact that this was my wifes dream car. He responded, Im not worried about your wife. Thats your wife. I mentioned he sold me a lemon. His exact words were, Okay, thats bad business. We sold you a lemon, Im offering to take the vehicle back. I said that I didnt ask him to take it back, just to fix it. He again said no. I mentioned again that he would be out more money taking the vehicle back and giving me my vehicles back. He said, Thats my decision. He didnt even offer to have his technicians look at it or try to fix it. When I mentioned that he said, We will have our people do the work, but youll have to pay for it. He even mentioned the company that we use to work on our vehicles saying, Im not gonna have -------- work on it. He once again said, Im offering to give your vehicles back and I will take the vehicle we sold you. I said, but, you wont take care of this vehicle. He said, Im not going to take care of it. I said, So whos to say, that whenever you sell this to another person, theyre not gonna get the same problem. He said, I will take care of that. I said, Then why wont you take care of that for me? He said, Because I can wholesale it. I said, Really youre going to wholesale an $8,000 car? He responded, Your talking about my business here. Ive been doing this for 40 years. I interrupted and said, and you take care of all of your customers this way? He responded, I take care of a lot of them this way. Remember, I have all of this recorded with their permission. Not much to say after that.

I thought the entire experience was great. Alex did a great job at helping us in many ways. He was very knowledgeable in the vehicles and always tried to look out for the customer. While waiting on the paperwork to get finished he was very informative of the process and how everything was going. The rest of the staff we encountered did an exceptional job as well, but our main person was Alex. Thank you and we would definitely come back as we are previous customers and the great experience never diminished.

Well Let me start by saying I went in to have my oil changed on my 2004 Chevy Caviler. I ended up trading in my 2004 Chevy Caviler. I looked at the Chevy sonic and the Cruze. I talked to Drew Choate about both of them and test drove the sonic but i ended up buying the Cruze. Drew worked with me on my trade in and my down payment. I have never owned a new car that i was the first owner of the car. Drew was very helpful and outgoing also I bought the 2004 Chevy Caviler from them 2 years ago on a buy here pay here deal. Now the 2013 Chevy Cruze is financed through Financial company. Vic Koenig Chevy i feel is a very nice place to buy a car or even have your car serviced there they are very outgoing and friendly.

I went in to purchase a new car, the car salesman was absolutely wonderful. The whole purchase itsself went very well. I have had a few problems with my car since. I have taken it in for each issue and every time I have taken it in I have been without a vehicle for the whole day. I have 2600 miles on my new car and I have to get new brake pads for it. I understand that the new cars will have some bugs in them but I just wish it was a little more convenient.

Vic Koenig was attractive from the outside. Going inside was fantastic, the place was clean, staff was super friendly and even gave my kids candy. My first impression was this is a great place... I told them what i was looking for, the sales man was more than happy to and we took it for a test drive. Immediately prior to putting into gear he said there were brand new brakes on the vehicle and that they filled the tank which was an excellent bonus i was thrilled, but warned that due to the brakes being new stopping would have some pulling... Well needless to say the pulling turned out to be warped rotors, but this wasnt the only area they screwed me. Prior to signing the paperwork i asked for brand new tires to seal the deal, but was denied. I decided to go for it anyways because the tires on it were still pretty new and i assumed that was why they denied. But get this, i had 2 remotes and i tested them both, one didnt work. I told the salesman who in turn told the boss and returned to twll me come back anytime in the next week for a free repair or replace... I came in and they renigged on the deal. They want 60 bucks for this thing... Think thats bad? I was trading in an saturn l200 and was trying to point out that my bumper was being held up by a coat hanger, but before i could tell him he said they were just going to clean it up and put it back on lot... No repairs? They sold my lemon... I hope people thoroughly look at their cars prior to buying from them... U might just buy a car with a coat hanger holding your bumper up.The reason for the rating is simple... They lied to me about fixing my remote. They changed the brakes but didnt replace that warped pair of rotors?! Lol dude you couldnt miss it on the big 18" tires! If you have ever changed brakes you ALWAYS check the rotors since you already have the wheels off...Worse yet is that they are a huge dealer... Down the road at Cars Inc was the man who sold me my Saturn L200 that i traded in. Prior to selling to me he put it in the shop for complete tune up, new tires, alignment, oil change, paid for plates, new brakes...and Proved it by showing me the paperwork, and then stuck it in the glovebox for my warranty! Cars Inc. Is a very small dealership, but the guy is honest. Needless to say next time i will shop at Cars Inc. Next time.

This dealer is based in a college town. It's likely the reason the customer service/friendliness is poor. I don't feel I can trust them either, especially that the customer cannot see his/her car being worked on. Passing the garage on the way out AFTER the work has been "done", looks like it needs some updates and cleaning. Also, a woman came in 1/2 hr after me with only a tail light to replace. She'd been waiting a while and asked if it was finished. The guy said it just went in. 1/2 hr later, I was leaving and a service man was walking toward her car in the lot to replace the bulb. This place needs honest people working and friendly. That's all it takes sometimes. An update on the car would be good too.
