Do not work with Lynn Wood!! If she’s not the smartest one in the room, she insults you behind your back. I was working up a deal with her for a new car and i expressed what i wanted and that i had a vehicle to trade in. She inputed a comment about me in her notes stating: “Customer thinks he knows everything but drives a Chrysler 200.” I find that very insulting. Just because I’m knowledgeable about the process, doesn’t mean i should be insulted. Then to comment on my trade in as if i should be judge based on the car i drive.

My fiance and I went to Village Volkswagen to trade in my car and get one with better gas mileage. We worked with Scott Hile and he was fantastic! He was straight up and honest with us. He didn't push us to get something we didn't want. He knew our budget and helped us stay in that budget. We left with a wonderful car. We did have a slight problem with the window tint afterwards (a chunk had gotten ripped off when the car information was removed). So we contacted Scott, sent him pictures, and they took care of it! No hassle and he helped tremendously. We will definitely be coming back next time we're in the market for a car. Thanks so much!(Jonathan worked with us in the Finance department and he was also fantastic. He pulled every string he could to get us the monthly payment we were aiming for!)

I drove from Nashivlle to buy a used Honda Pilot. Everyone was extremely nice and kind. I had already talked to Ann Marie via the internet. She was very helpful. I arrived at the dealership at 9:00am and was greeted by Chester Sharp. He was extremely nice and helpful. We drove the Pilot and went straight into the buying process. I was out of there by noon. It was a wonderful experience--I usually hate to but a car. Robert was great at the finanical end and everyone seemed to be honest. I was very impressed with the entire event.

I received recall notice concerning the siphon pump in the gas tank needing to be replaced. I called to make an appointment and was scheduled for the next day at 1:00 PM. I showed up a little early and was told the techs would get right on it when they returned from lunch.They evidently did, because my car was ready about 2:00 PM. Everyone was friendly and the whole process went smoothly.

Had my 5k service here. Everyone was great and I was able to catch a ride to work. They called when everything was done. The process was completely painless. The only thing I have to complain about is the location, hidden way in the back of dealership row.

We went to the dealership with knowing which car we wanted, after visiting the dealerships website. When we arrived Larry was waiting on the lot. Even though it was later in the evening he set us up with a test drive. When the service writing was backed up and taking a little while, we took the car to get some dinner!!! They matched our APR for loan, so we decided to use the VW as our loan company too!! Wonderful and well keep dealership- they even have cold bottles of water and popcorn/snacks for when you have to have service.

We drove a long way to buy a certain vehicle. The sales manager and the salesman went above and beyond to help us get that vehicle at a great price. They even offered to bring the car to us at over an hour and half drive away. Scott and Robert stayed past closing to insure we were taken care of.

All experiences with dealerships are the same. It's like the majority of salespeople in a dealership know that they have to seal the deal before you walk out the dealership door. Otherwise, there is a good chance the salesperson won't make a sale. From the top down, there is enormous pressure to move the inventory, so salespeople push, push, and push some more to achieve the ultimate goal.The problem with this process is that the buyer feels the stress, and the stress doesn't make the buying experience fun. I experienced this everytime I set foot in a dealership before I dealt with Scott. Mr. Hile never pushed me once, and I really appreciated him for that. He listened to my budget, and my concerns as I financed my first car. He even showed me vehicle options I never thought I could afford, and the vehicles I perused were in fact quite affordable. If you go to this dealership, make sure you talk to Scott. Shout out to Robert Rumfelt as well. Filling out paperwork was less irritating with him because he has a very dry wit sense of humor. I thought he was hilarious and very professional at the same time.I normally do not like to give reviews, but in this case I'll make an exception. The quality of service was better than I ever expected. Volkswagen Jettas are affordable, and it was because of these guys that I had a good experience. I love my 2015 VW Jetta!

I received a letter from Volkswagen on Thursday, Sept 22, regarding a recall on my wife's Passatt. I called Village Volkswagen to see if I could being my wife's car in on Friday, Sept 23, as were were leaving town for three weeks on Saturday, Sept. 24. The service department was very cordial and set me up with a 10:30 appointment on Friday morning. I was very thankful and grateful that they could do this. The recall had to do with a seal that needed replacing and they told me it would take about 2 hours. The time was not a factor and I am very happy to say that the recall repair was done in a very timely manner, everything was explained to me when the repair had been completed and my car was even washed before I left. Your service department and all of your personnel in this department are to be highly commended.

I was interested in a new VW GTI and Village had what I was looking for. Our salesman, Dakota Dillard, made the car buying experience very relaxed. Although he was fairly new at the dealership, he was knowledgeable enough to answer most of our questions, and for those few that he couldn't, he checked with someone else to make sure we got the information we needed. We left feeling that we got a great deal on a great car.

Overall everything was great! I gave 4 stars for customer service only because every time I service my car I am told it was washed, but my car has racks on it, so it never gets washed. Being told a service was done, when you know it wasn't, makes you wonder if anything else wasn't done that you were told was.

The finance man Robert Rumfelt was great to work with as well getting a better deal than expected on financing. Overall a terrific experience in buying a vehicle. a long wait that was our of anyone's control. Customer service was excellent. Great atmosphere if you have small children tagging a long. As we all know it is difficult car shopping with children. There is a small glassed in room just for the small ones. also a tv room, snacks, drinks and a Free video game system (which my 6 year old could not get enough of) This alone made our shopping and wait time extremely bareable. Loved the attention and hospitality given during our visit by both our Salesman Larry as well as the financing with Jonathan. We will definitely recommend Village Volkswagen of Chattanooga to all looking to purchase or lease a vehicle.

Took advantage 0% interest/$1000 end of model year discount on a very high tech car. But car was selling fast: dealer worked days to find car in next state. VW Golf Sportwagen had super reviews in Car & Driver Magazine (10 best of 2016) and VW had a TSI Limited version with all the driver assistance features for a very low price. (Unlike most manufacturers that allow one to buy those options for $1500-$3000 as upgrades on only the high end model.) Size was just a little smaller than a Honda CRV with the safety features, but I think I saved $7,000-$10,000.Point is: this car was selling like "hotcakes". Village VW did not have the car so they spent literally days finding the car in the next state. It came and my wife & I were not excited about the Tornado Red color and asked for them to find a metallic color. Jeff Newell, the sales manager, immediately started another two day search and found the perfect tungsten silver car. Extraordinary effort!And salesman, Smitty Smith, was working with him and us every step of the way, especially finding a couple of ways to save us another $1000 or so. And when we received the car, he very patiently and clearly explained and demoed many of the car's features.Financing guru Jonathon was super too.

My credit wasn't great, but I really needed to get a car. I had been driving my 17 year old son's car that I bought for him. Now he has graduated and is about to start college so he has to have his own car. I saw a vehicle that I was very interested in and was helped by the nicest sales person I have probably ever worked with. I was in and out with my new car within a couple of hours. The dealership started working on my car immediately. The service was completed promptly. I did not have to wait very long. Everyone was courteous and friendly. They even took the car thru the car wash. The dealership did what they said they were going to do. This is very rare in todays world.

The customer service before I even walked in the door for the first time is was brought me to Village. Jessica and Rich were super friendly & responsive & they met the lowest price I had found on the car I wanted (Golf Sportwagen). My son and I drove 5 hours to Village (even though we have a dealership in our town) in a rental to pick up my new car. Rich picked my son & I up at the hotel after we returned the car which kicked off our visit to Village. Rich was very friendly & patient as he answered my millions of questions on the new gadgets in my car. I LOVE my car & highly recommend Village VW!

He listened to what I wanted and then he and Jeff worked to find me the perfect car. We compared our deal to truecar.com and we were very pleased. Jonathan found us a great interest rate and clearly explained the ream of paperwork we had to sign. I don't remember the name of the gentleman who stayed late to wash and clean the car I finally chose, but he was so nice and polite.

They were not pushy in the slightest, and allowed us look and take it all in. They made us a great deal on our truck, too. Jonathan was a great salesperson. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicles we were interested in, and he was very easy to get along with. He was great with our kids, too. Smitty, one of the other salesmen, even helped Jonathan watch our three kids while we tended to the business involved. Sales Professional Tom Smith met me at the door with a grand smile; auto inspector was instantly ready to inspect returning car. Sales visit was handled with great courtesy, efficiency and professionalism. Smitty always takes terrific care of his customers and sees to everything to its finest detail. He walked me through all of the features of the new vehicle to ensure that I knew how each operated properly; he personally took me to other employees who were part of the team, introduced us, then carefully completed the sale til all was finished. I had been looking for a used new Beetle convertible for a while. While searching Autotrader I found a 2009 with 53000 miles with everything I wanted. I visited the dealer and was show the car before it went to clean-up. Jody Chambers was my salesperson and told me he would call as soon as it had been checked out. Jody called two days later and the wife and I went to check it out and drive, everything was great. We did not trade that day due to what I thought was a very low trade estimate on my car. The following day with the help of Jody and the used car manager we were able to make a deal. Loving my Beetle so far and looking forward to many years of service.

I have looked at VWs at Village in the past and yet never purchased - choosing to do so elsewhere. However, I appreciated the persistence of Villages staff when they found another Eos to show me. I also appreciated the straight up manner of Scott Hile, my sales rep on this purchase. I was not really trying to haggle with him, but he worked to get me to a payment I was comfortable with. I took my 2014 VW Passat in for a checkup before leaving for a two week driving vacation. The dealership--Village Volkswagen--and they did an exceptional job including checking the air pressure in the tires, topping off all the fluids, checked the battery (which was strong) and reassuring me that everything was in good shape for our trip. When I asked for my invoice, I was told that there was no charge as Village VW treats its customers with great concern and caring.

It is seldom that you can feel comfortable to venture 200 miles to inquire about a particular vehicle you wish to purchase based upon one telephone. A second follow up call was even more convincing that the Village Volkswagen of Chattanooga was worth driving there to talk them about purchasing a vehicle. After a two week back and forth with a dealership in Knoxville, I was quite disappointed in their lack of professionalism and (take it or leave it) attitude. So, my expectations were not the best when I ventured to Chattanooga. To my disbelief, I could not have expected a more pleasant, generous atmosphere from the moment I drove onto their lot. It felt that is was apparent that someone (namely Jeff) had advised his sales associates to roll out the red carpet for me. It was not a dog and pony show, but a genuine attempt to work with me and provide all the information possible. Jody is to be commended for his patience and knowledge that made for a such a pleasant experience in purchasing my Passat. This was accomplished in less that two hours where I had spent two useless weeks with the dealership in Knoxville.

I had previously owned a Passat and drove it for 15 years before finally deciding it was time to buy a newer car. I was looking at used cars but was shocked to see I could buy a new Passat for basically the same price. This was an easy choice! Smitty (Thomas Smith), our sales associate, was excellent in finding me the car I needed (even in my first choice of color). He asked a few questions about our life style, family needs, etc., to make sure what we wanted would truly line up with what we needed. He was always friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. Even after we signed the papers, he was there to help me sync my phone to the blue tooth system and go over some other features of the car to make sure I was comfortable. We love our new Tiguan! I called VVW Jeff Newell to test drive a Tiguan and they had it ready for me when I got there! James Sherlin was our salesman. James took his time with me & went over every detail of the car. James is very informative. We bought the car for our daughter so when we went to pick it up - the Tiguan had been detailed & fueled. He set all the electronics for us. When he met our daughter - he went over everything with her about the car and answered all of our questions. He told her to keep a pen and paper with her to write down any questions she may have later on & feel free to call him. James has already called and checked on us! I found the vehicle that I wanted on the web at Village Volkswagen Of Chattanooga. I chatted with Jessica on their website about the SUV that I wanted. She made sure it was still available and asked if I wanted to come test drive it. I came up the same day and met my salesman Scott. If anyone has ever been to Village Volkswagen they know why I gave it 5 star rating. James Sherlin along with all the other salesmen could not have been nicer or more helpful. The environment was one of a family get together. I drove over an hour one way and was so glad I did, because it was well worth the drive. The finance manager Jonathon Logan was up front and respectful to keeping the payments were I wanted them going above and beyond. However the best part of the whole car buying experience that I had dreaded with the games and gimmicks that Salesman are known for. James Sherlin our Salesman was Super. His quick wit and truthful answers put me right at ease. I felt like I have known him my whole life and he took care of us, me and my sister, as if we were his family members. If you are going to buy a car new or used please do yourself a favor and check out Village Volkswagen in Chattanooga first and ask for James Sherlin, it is worth the drive and you really will not regret it.

I was looking at a VW Golf when the sales manager (forgive me not remembering his name) remembered that we had spoken on the phone and that I was looking for an all-wheel drive vehicle. They did not a golf equipped with all wheel drive but directed me to a Tiguan which did. The entire staff supportive, informative and obviously vested in making sure I had a good customer experience. I would recommend Village Volkswagen to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle. The facilities are immaculate, user friendly and the staff can't be beat.

I had called from Murphy before driving to Chattanooga to look for a VW. When I arrived I was met by Scott Hile who was friendly and welcoming. I found a Golf that I liked but, the general manager, remembered that when we had spoken previously I was looking for an all wheel drive vehicle. They directed me to a Tiguan and the vehicle was just what I was looking for. I was and am deeply impressed that remembered such details and stepped in to make sure I was purchasing the vehicle I was looking for. The facilities are gorgeous. I contacted the dealership about getting my tire checked for noise and they were booked up for the next 6 days, so I made an appointment, 6 days out . I called back, in two days, as the noise was getting louder, and they said I could leave my car and they would try to fit it in, but no promises. They called in a few hours , had found the problem, washed my car and didn't charge me. I drove away and the car still made the noise. I returned, they instantly got the supervisor that took the time to fix the car, he did a road test with me , we heard the noise and he cheerfully , said he would take the tire apart again and clean it out better, as he must of not cleaned it out good enough the first time. I offer a home care, health service to the public and some homes, are in remote areas, that are challenging in maneuvering my car. While I was waiting they provided me with, pop corn and a coke. I felt pampered! The staff was friendly, I didn't feel rushed and they showed they genuinely cared about my problem. Jody and his manager, and the service supervisor in the garage, were most helpful! Thanks!!!!

I HATE for salespersons to walk up to me. I've wanted a Passat for several years, always liked the way they looked and drove, and made right here in Chatt-town now. After a divorce, I'd decided I was going to buy a new car - color, make, model and options of MY own choosing! I went on line with Village Volkswagen of Chattanooga's site after doing my research, I found a black TDI SEL with the Cornsilk Beige interior (they had actually more than one...) and it was loaded out with the options I wanted. I wrote down the VIN # and met my son at the dealership. He was there already, he and Smitty were talking and they had a car there, waiting for me to look at and test drive - it was about $5,000.00 cheaper than what I had looked at, but did not have all the options I wanted, so Smitty trekked back out to the lot immediately and came back with my car. I got in, sat down and immediately knew it was what I was looking for - when I got out, I looked at the VIN # (I know Smitty probably thought I'd lost it) and it was the one I'd found on line! Smitty made the whole process so easy, he explained everything so well without treating me like a woman who didn't know anything, lol!! He has answered every call for me when I've had questions, even down to giving me the Roadside Assistance # about a month ago, when I was in Florida and locked the keys in it (not supposed to be able to happen, but did...) He has come and picked it up when I haven't been able to take it in for service - he totally has a return customer in me!!

I took my 2010 Beetle in for its annual service. Scott Hile was already there at 7:45 in the morning. I brought my check book in case I saw a new beetle that struck my fancy but I didn't really need to trade my old one in. I asked him to show me what he had currently in inventory. He showed me a new beetle that struck my fancy and while my old beetle was being serviced, I bought a new one. Talk about efficient and customer-oriented interaction and Village Volkswagen is up there with the best of the best. Knowledgeable, service oriented, and efficient. Although VW doesn't leave a lot of room for negotiation on pricing, our sales person Larry was great to work with- friendly, personable, & straightforward. Finance manager was also friendly,low pressure & easy to deal with. Love our Tiguan!

This was the best car buying experience I've ever had. Smitty was awesome and answered any questions I had and wasn't pushy at all. Also the process was quick and didn't take forever. I definitely recommend anyone who is looking for a vehicle to go and ask for Smitty. I couldn't be more pleased with the price either. We've bought a few cars from Village VW. This time an encounter with a deer in our Audi Allroad in the morning led us to our visit Audi Chattanooga from whom we have also dealt with. We looked at a Q7 and then wandered over to the VW showroom to look at a Touareg. As always, we were greeted by the pleasant down to earth atmosphere that exists in the showroom. Tom "Smitty" Smith, has been our go to person for everything at the dealership and this time was no different. We hadn't made an appointment and yet were accommodated and dealt with promptly by Dale and Smitty. A new Touareg was brought out and the keys handed to us and we took it for a short drive. We took another Touareg for a spin, had lunch, came back and closed the deal. All painless, all unplanned, all facilitated by Smitty and Dale in a professional, non pushy, and trustworthy manner. I have no issue stating that they are both the primary reason for us purchasing vehicles from Village VW! Btw, the Touareg Executive we bought is fabulous!

Scott Hile made my "buying a car experience" a rather pleasant experience. It was fairly quick (though not rushed) and painless. Negotiations were simple and reasonable. Scott was professional and friendly (as was everyone), but I really appreciated his way of being in sales without being a salesperson. I never felt pressured or felt like I was being swindled, all seemed genuine and honest. Overall, I am very pleased with Village Volkswagen and especially Scott Hile and especially the new car!

Let's face it, no one really likes dealing with sales persons. I personally have walked out of businesses many times because I'm not one to play games and feeling like "fresh meat" as soon as you enter an establishment is just not my thing. Having said all that, I had mentally prepared myself for such an event as I entered Village Volkswagen. However, It was not necessary. I had found the vehicle I wanted online, contacted Village Volkswagen and the rest was a piece of cake. The staff was friendly and helpful. Scott Hile was great. Really. He was available for any questions I might have had, but he gave me space, which is important to me. I am not one to be pushed or pressured, and there was none of that with Scott. Negotiations were simple and easy. At the end of the day, I drove away in a great car with a great price and felt great about it.

Village Volkswagen delivered the car that I was interested in at a competitive price. Rich Rosenberger/Sales asked specific questions on what I was looking for and didn't try to hard sell a vehicle that was currently in inventory. Rich and the Village team located the vehicle that we wanted with exactly the trim package and color that we asked for in a very short period of time. Rich drove the vehicle to my office for inspection and a test drive and I was sold. Excellent customer service!

All the sales people and managers here are the best! It's the only car dealership that doesn't make you dread walking on the lot to look. They are extremely friendly and not too overbearing! They follow up with you after your purchase and want to see if you have any questions or need any help with your new purchase. It's what a dealer does AFTER your purchase that matters the most and this is where they Really make the difference!

We purchased a new VW Jetta from Village VW. Larry was able to find us financing that worked for us. He found us a new VW that met financing criteria and our personal needs. I had a very busy work week and had very little time to do paper work. Larry arranged for the paper work to be done very quickly. Also, this dealer gave us a much better trade in value for our old car (also a Jetta) than the other dealer we had been talking with (not a VW dealer). This was one of the best car buying experiences we have had. We were very pleased.

Was looking for a new car and cars.com sent me to Village Volkswagen. At first I didn't think they had the one I wanted. So we test drove a different model. Larry asked us if there was another car we were interested in, I told him yes, but it was gone according to the phone call I had gotten the day before. He informed me the deal fell through. I was one happy girl. He was very kind and patient. If you want a non pushy dealership this is the one to go to. We didn't finance, but did purchase an extended warranty, that is the only reason I added the Jonathan to this review.

I told him some of my ideas, and he helped me narrow down my search tremendously...making my car buying experience as easy as possible. Once I chose my car, Jeff and Jonathan did a great job getting me through the process of paper work and giving me advice. All three gentlemen were very kind and polite. They didn't care about anything but getting me out of there happy as can be! I highly recommend going to check Village Volkswagen. This dealership is worth coming into. YOU will not be disappointed. The sales people are not pushy and really want to make the transaction as easy as they can . Scott Hile and Andrew went above and beyond what they needed to do on Saturday 1/9/16. Scott was teaching Andrew the ropes and made sure every T was crossed and I dotted. Andrew made us feel at ease and made sure that I got the color i wanted even though they did not have it on the lot. The dealership even had a big red bow when I went to pick it up on Monday. I loved this car buying process. From walking into the door to delivery of the car, THESE people went above the normal experience and made my car purchase easy and fun. NEVER before have I left a dealership without being frustrated and tired over the whole ordeal. My car was not on their lot so they made sure to call around and get it delivered to their lot and detailed by the end of the next business day. THey even made sure to make that delivery special by pulling it into the showroom, putting a big red bow on it and take pictures of me , my family and the new sales man that sold me this car. ANDREW (who is new and this was his first sale) made it cool because he did the happy dance for me. The other sales team members followed up and went over his sale to make sure we understood all paperwork and that he knew what was to follow next. It great to see good teamwork instead of people trying to steal customers away. I would recommend this dealership over and over again.

We rarely trade vehicles. The one we traded in we had 12 years. Seems like every time we trade a vehicle it was very stressful and when we were finished we had a sick feeling in our stomach. This experience was very different. We parked in the back lot and looked at a few vehicles and Salesman Larry Keown came us and asked if we had any questions. He set the tone for the rest of the evening. We were treated more like family than a customer. All of our questions were answered, we took a test drive. Discussed price, rebates, tradein etc. Then Robert took us to take care of the financial /paper work part. He to was very laid back, made us feel at home as well. This was the first time we had ever set foot in this dealership, but we will be back! Thanks!

I was in a very stressful state when I walked into this dealership after being treated poorly at another Volkswagen dealership. Working with Smitty was a huge relief for he goes above and beyond for his customers. He is very personable and genuinely believes in his product. The entire process was extremely transparent and I did not feel taken advantage of once. This level of service is rare within the auto industry and I know I will be returning in the future.

Overall a good experience. I had corresponded via email with a Sales rep, however there did seem to be a little lack in communication because once I had arrived to pick the vehicle up for test drive there was a little confusion. However, Scott Hile was great about quickly getting everything resolved.

I had a Jetta TDI diesel and was very concerned about this car considering the current situation with the VW diesels. I went in and spoke with the sales manager and salesperson and voiced my concerns. They understood the situation and said they would help me anyway they could. I ended up buying a new Passat 1.8T 2015. They were more than fair on the Jetta trade-in paying off my loan and giving us additional discount off the car that we bought. My wife and I felt very satisfied with how truthful they were with us from the sales manager to the credit manager and the salesperson working with us. VW has proven to us that they are willing to make things right. Was a great experience. Would highly recommend these folks if you are ready for a new or good used auto.

I have never experienced a salesperson that goes more out of his way to satisfy a customer. There are a lot of other cars I like on the market but Smitty is the main reason I go back to Village VW. Also, it is hard to beat the excellent service from the service department. I usually see Max Cockrell when I take my cars in for maintenance or repairs. The service dept is top notch! They take care of their customers.

We went in looking for a specific car for my daughter that we has seen online, a 2007 VW EOS, and I have to say it exceeded all expectations - which is extremely difficult to do with this picky bunch! The pictures online did not do it justice.Scott Hile turned a less than ideal shopping situation into the easiest, most pleasant vehicle purchase I've ever made. We will be in the market for another car in the next six months, and he will be my first and last call!

Scott Hile is very professional, not pushy, just very helpful and polite. Easy to recommend to friends. First Passat I've owned, so it's hard tell anything about the car orther than it suits my needs and seems to be of very high quality. The ride is very comfortable and the cabin of the car is very large and well laid out. Plenty of trunk room and plenty of speed with or without the turbo. All of this and regular gas, too.

Scott Hile was the salesperson. Scott handled the whole transaction in a very professional manner. He let me test several cars, never trying to push me into any particular one but answering all my questions to the best of his ability. The finance gentleman, sorry I don't recall his name, was very through explaining the different options available to me. Again, very professional and easy to talk with. The showroom area is very appealing and neatly decorated. If there is a complaint it would be that the management doesn't appear, to me, to think very highly of their own brand when it comes to a trade value. It seems that every trade is considered average book value regardless of very clean and low mileage. Again, this is just my perspective. Haven't used the service department for this car but have for the one I just traded and have found the staff to be very personable and easy to deal with, even though their job is to get you to spend money in the service area. Never a problem with the quality of service repairs.

I spent weeks looking through vehicles for a good deal. A few appeared. Then on a Saturday I went and drove cars for 7 hours and enjoyed many. I chose 2 that I knew fit my wife's parameters and the math, but knew which one was more for her. She got the chance to drive 4-5 car the following week, but finally decided on the car I knew was fitting for her... the VW Passat. It is fairly luxurious inside, drives super smooth, has a decent track record and most importantly, gets 39.1 miles per gallon hwy with octane 87. Scott was very patient with us ( we visited 4 times before choosing). We have appreciated Scott's service the entire week. Thank you Scott!! Jonathan was a bit pushy. He openly said, "I think you will regret not buying the 7 year bumper to bumper warranty." When asked if he knew something about this vehicle that I don't know, he said, "It's a German vehicle." Leaving me to assume that German cars are prone to frequent breakdowns in the first 7 years, or maybe that German made cars are not as good as Japanese cars. I received a very positive experience from Scott, while a negative shifting experience from Jonathan, the financial rep. Overall, good experience, as I hope to continue working with VW. If they become uncooperative or "dumping" of their product, I will surely let the world know.

I contacted Jeremy Holsomback because of an issue I ran into with corporate and my 2011 Tiguan. What started out as a horrible interaction with corporate, all changed when I came into Village Volkswagen. Ive always had my Tiguan serviced there but never purchased a vehicle there. Scott Hile helped me decide between a Jetta and Passat and did so without pressuring me. I hate feeling pressured when I'm spending this amount of money. He went over every feature of my new Jetta and rode along on the test drive to go over everything. He stayed in constant communication with me and helped answer all of my questions. He actually called me over a month after I bought just to make sure everything was still going well and to see if I needed anything. I will go back to Scott and Jeremy next time!

We visited Village Volkswagen looking for a fun car for my wife. She had previously owned a VW Beetle and loved it, but we stopped to drive a Mini Cooper that was on the used car line. After the test drive we decided the Mini was too mini, and a black Beetle had caught my wife's eye. We test drove the Beetle and my wife fell in love with the car. Even though we were looking for a used fun car Scott Hile and Jeremy Holsomback went above and beyond to put the very best deal together for us! What and easy relaxed purchase, no high pressure whatsoever. Scott was very knowledgeable of the Beetle and went over every feature of the car with my wife, then called later to follow up to make sure we were pleased with everything. I saw a Mercedes Benz C Class that I was interested in, and called the dealership, guess what? I spoke to a lady called Gabby and God! my previously negative impression about car sales personnel has changed completely. The car was being serviced, so she took my # and e-mail address and promised to fill me in on the status of the car as soon as practicable. So I lost hope completely because I have had such promises several times and they never kept to their promise. This time I was proved wrong. This Gabby lady immediately sent me e-mails on the state of the servicing that was done and above all was so HONEST and POLITE to let me know that there was so much work `to be done on the said car, it would not be appropriate to sell the car, until everything had been fixed. What !!! I did not know that we still have some very HONEST dealerships in this world and I bet Village Volks of Chatt is one of the very few and the lady to contact is Gabby. Polite, honest and professional. I hope her bosses are taking note of this valuable asset to the business. I did not buy from them sadly, but I would recommend them to any prospective buyer first. Village Volks of Chatt, you deserve an A+++, and Gabby is my go to lady.

This was my 5th VW over many years and when I walked through the door looking for a TDI, I met Smitty. He's a career VW sales professional (>15 years) and knows his stuff. He didn't waste my time, and I quickly found a vehicle that suited my needs (2015 Golf SportWagen S). Village VW is an awesome dealer. Their waiting lounge is well appointed and they have complimentary bottle water and sodas, as well as cookies while you wait. If you have young children there is also a dedicated play room.Village's service capacity was recently increased, adding an additional shop with quite a few vehicle bays. I'm guessing due to the proximity to the VW Chattanooga plant, they get plenty of VW Employee vehicles for service.Village offers a very well executed online appointment feature. Once your vehicle is loaded into the system, you can choose the day and time of your service, and pick specific services. You get an email reminder, as well as a phone call the day before your service to remind you.I would highly recommend Village VW to anyone shopping for a VW. We were traveling on an anniversary trip to the Nantahala in North Carolina from Birmingham in our 2006 Bug Convertible. When we reached Chattanooga, a chime sounded telling us the car was overheating. We found Village VW and pulled in. Even though they were swamped, they offered to check out the issue. Each person we dealt with was incredibly professional, kind, and helpful. We waited in a very comfortable space with free wifi and snacks, fearing that we would lose a few days of our short vacation thanks to a serious car problem. The mechanics found the issue (which was minor thankfully), took care of it, and charged us a minimal amount. We have been incredibly frustrated with the service at our home dealership in Birmingham, and have sworn to never buy another VW because of them, even though we love our Bug. If we lived in Chattanooga, I would definitely reconsider. What a fantastic and well-run dealership. Each customer we saw was treated very well, with clear explanations and quick service. My husband and I were very impressed, and we highly recommend Village VW of Chattanooga! They sure saved the day for us when they didn't have to. Thank you!

I was in Chattanooga for business and my 13' Passat had a major oil problem due to a faulty oil change at a different dealership. We were in a panic when we pulled in and asked for help. "Smitty", a helpful salesman took time out to help us. Even though the body shop in the dealership was closed, two of the off duty mechanics came to our aid and worked on our car on their own time. Everyone there was so nice! They kept us updated with the condition of our car and continued to make us feel comfortable (even though we didn't purchase our car from them!). The whole experiace was superior considering we were in a panic over the car. Quality people and amazing work. Thank you so much Village! You saved our car and our Saturday.

I've driven an EOS for 3 years, I researched this car and pricing for 6 months before I purchased it from Village VW. Their sales dept gave me a fair and honest deal unlike another dealership I had been working with prior to my purchase. 2 weeks later... their was a problem with the convertible top. The service dept took very good care of me and my car and I was back on the road in about an hour.

I've had my volkswagon passatt for nearly a year now have been leasing for the past three years before deciding to buy the passatt Tsi I have now have always had great service with village vw of chattanooga I would definitely recommend anyone buying a new car to stop by their first. You will get great customer service and a great car for your money. I haven't seen a better place around that offer a car of this quality with service this good yet.

I heard a dealer rater commercial on the radio and thought I'd check it out and I'm shocked to see some of these reviews. The service manager has always tried to help me save a few dollars and I appreciate it. Folks should understand that a dealership is not "the worst" because they charge you for their service, they are a business and that's how they keep their doors open and keep their employees employed. When I bought my Jetta TDI, the sales people were excellent and that part of the experience was great. Then I had to deal with the service department. I had already heard from several friends about horror stories related to service at VW of Chattanooga. But I figured these were a few isolated incidents. How wrong I was. When there were problems early on with my car (first 30 days), the service department took an attitude of "Oh well, your tough luck." This trend has continued throughout my dealings with this department. From not having loaner vehicles ready when they say they will for a scheduled appointment, to telling me they serviced the spark plugs on my car (diesel engines do not have spark plugs, they have glow plugs), to outrageously expensive services, to very rude service consultants including the service manager, it has been one bad experience after another. I will never use the VW of Chattanooga service department again, and if you are smart, you shouldn't either.

I was interested in purchasing a Volkswagen Beetle Convertible, I showed up at the dealership around 9:30am on a Monday morning and was immediately greeted by a Salesman identifying himself as Chad Hood. I told Chad why I was there and he quickly set me up with a test drive in the automobile of my choice. On the Test drive Chad was very knowledgeable of the vehicle and made me feel comfortable. When we returned to the dealership I informed Chad that I was interested in purchasing the automobile if we could agree on certain conditions price/financing wise. Chad dealt with me patiently and helped with the Volkswagen Financing dept. I was able to drive my new convertible home that day, it was one of the most stress free and easy times I have encountered with a salesperson and dealership. Kudos to Chad and the Team at Village Volkswagen of Chattanooga, TN.

Called the dealership and was told they closed at 7pm. Fred asked what we were looking for and how long it would take me to get there. We showed up 25 min. later and Fred was at the front door waiting on us as he promised he would. (Time 7:45pm-they had been closed 45 min.) He asked what we were looking for and we told him. He found one quickly. We did the paperwork that night. Left and came back the next morning to finish up. We ended up in a "new" 2014 Jetta for a better deal than the used one we looked at the night before. :) Fred was very nice and helpful!!!! I drove my car off the lot this morning. VW of Chattanooga has very nice and helpful staff and I would recommend looking up Fred and having him work with you. Thanks VW!!!! :)

I have been to the service department about 6 times in 3 months and made an appointment each time and three of those times they didn't look at my car that day making me have to pick it up and bring it back or leave it over night. Also they kept replacing parts hoping to fix my car and I kept having to go back. They replaced a turbo and other parts and still my car was through the same codes and then after thousands spent they wanted to charge me more and more even thought they didn't fix it. I will never go here again!!

My wife and I arrived at Village Volkswagen on Saturday with 10 minutes before closing. We were looking for a used Volkswagen EOS. We were immediately greeted by a friendly and smiling Tom Smith who was able to help us. Within minutes he provided us the keys and we were doing a test drive. My wife and I made a reasonable offer on the car which Tom was able to get approved without having to wait long.From that point on things moved very quickly and we were able to complete the financing process without a lot of undue pressures that you might normally expect. What impressed me was they respected my responses whether "yes" or "no" and genuinely seemed to take my better interest at heart over their sale.Even so late in the day they were still able to have our car detailed and out the door in a very short time. Living in Knoxville we had some concerns about not purchasing closer to our home but they made it worth the experience. I would highly recommend Tom and his crew.

After my previous car died on me, I was in need of a new vehicle so I went to Village VW wanting to look at a Jetta. I did my research beforehand and knew exactly what I wanted so I was really dreading having to deal with a pushy salesman who would try to get me to buy something other than what I wanted. When we arrived, we were approached by Dennis, who was very friendly and nice. I told him exactly what I wanted and he immediately went to check and see what they had in stock. He returned and said that they didn't have the specific car I was looking for but that he would check other dealerships in the region to see if anyone had one in stock that we could get. He offered to let me look at a Jetta that was very similar (same car, just didn't have the sunroof I wanted) while he went to check. I got in the car and fell in love with it so I was really hoping that I would be able to find exactly what I was looking for. He returned and said there were only 2 in the region but that one was exactly what I wanted, even down to the exterior and interior colors. I test drove the one that I had been looking at, to make sure I liked the way it drove and then decided to have the one I wanted transferred in, as he had offered, to buy it. Throughout the process, Dennis was wonderful about answering all of my questions, which were a lot, since this was my first time buying a brand new car. He went out of his way to contact the other dealership which was out of state, to make sure that we could secure the car. The entire process was wonderful. My car arrived today and I went to pick it up and it was everything I wanted! It even had a full tank of gas, ready for me. I could not have had a better experience at Village VW and I will definitely recommend the dealership and Dennis to my family and friends!

This was my third buying experience in Chattanooga in the past two years. Chad blew the other experiences away. When I came for my 10,000 mile checkup a week before, I asked for the front passenger window to be checked. They found it needed a replacement part and I was told I would receive a call once the part arrived. By the first of the week, I received a call and was able to set up the appointment for the end of the week. Everything was done in a timely fashion and I had a comfortable setting with refreshments available while I waited. Everyone is so very nice and kind. I always tell my friends about VW of Chattanooga.

I never actually thought I'd be able to afford the VW I wanted. But with Chattanooga turning into a VW town now, I really wanted to support the local industry. I looked at prices online and discovered they were lower than I thought, but actually visiting Village VW sold me. I didn't even make it to the door before I was approached and greeted by Ms Wood. And from that moment on she was my dealer. I ended up visiting the dealership three times before the actual purchase and every time she was there, remembered my name and what I was looking for, and she never pressured me for a sale. I spent a lot of time checking out cars before this purchase. I compared the Civic, Mazda 3, Cruze, Mustang, Focus, and even the Altima. But never at any of those other dealerships was I met at the door and then once I found a salesperson they always wanted to sell me what they had on the lot, not what I was trying to tell them I wanted. Ms Wood was happy to order what I wanted to take care of me and in the end thanks to lucky timing she didn't even newd to order ot. The dealership had exactly what I wanted show up on the lot just when I was ready to buy. I'm already working on getting the rest of my family in VWs now.

After my local Memphis dealer was unwilling to get even close to an acceptable trade difference (they lost my business twice in two weeks!) I searched for the 2013 VW Passat TDI SEL in the color I was looking for. I submitted a quote request on a Friday night and had a reply on Saturday morning. Amber, the internet contact, quickly turned me over to the sales manager, Greg Pope, who accepted my offer without having seen my trade. I immediately hopped into my trade and made the 300 mile trip to save $1,000 on a very high demand vehicle. I arrived 15 mins before closing and noticed that Greg had the vehicle prepped and waiting by the front door. He assigned his rookie salesman, Jace "Grasshopper" Flatt to finish the paperwork and deliver the car; he did a great job. Greg and his staff stayed late, finishing the transaction in record time...if only every car deal could be this easy!Village VW has earned my loyalty. It was worth the 10 hour drive to give my business to a company that actually wants to sell cars.

My husband and I went by the VW dealership to look at a bettle bug. We were not planning to buy a car that day. Fred greeted us and answered all our questions, and went out of his way to make us comfortable. Although it took until 8pm (i think they close at 7) we went home with a 2012 bug. If you are interested in a VW and do not want to be pressured, call Fred he will take good care of you.

I had bought a car from Lynn 3 years ago, and had a wonderful experience. Lynn Wood was a great saleperson, and she took all the time in world to show me the right car at the right price. I had a wonderful first experience purchasing a new VW and I believe it was all due to the professionalism and caring attitude of Lynn Wood. About 5 months ago, I heard about the new Passat that was being introduced into the market place, and decided to stop by and find out more about it. Again, Lynn was very informative and was not pushy or tried to sell me on a new car. In the past 2 1/2 years, my previous Passat had been treated with care and the tech people had done a great job with oil changes and taking care of my initial car purchase. They were always prompt in getting the job done, and there were never delays or excuses. The dealership always provided a ride to and from the dealership to make it more convenient to get the car serviced. I wanted this to continue, so I was sold on a new car. I love my CC, and Lynn Wood was able to provide another great experience in purchasing another new car from your dealership. Overall, great experience, and no pushy sales tactics in the part of Lynn Wood. I have enjoyed all of my experiences with VW of Chattanooga. I will continue to recommend Lynn Wood to all of my family and friends, and I have actually purchased two additional Jetta's for 2 of my adult children. If you want to a great experience, ask for Lynn Wood, and you will have the same great experience I had.

After shopping for a vehicle for about three months I decided to stop by Village Volkswagen of chattanooga. When we pulled up and parked we was greeted by Mr. Fred Fortson who was extremely professional and polite to me and my family. He greeted each and every member our family including making the kids feel comfortable as well. Fred took the time to determine our needs and wants before attempting to show us a vehicle. Once we selected the right vehicle, he methodically explained all of the Features and Benefits, as well as, the advantages of buying the vehicle that we chose. Afterwards, while test driving the vehicle Fred calmly answered every question that we asked of him in a honest and transparent way. We ended up buying a 2012 Volkswagon Passat SE. This was the greatest experience we have ever had purchasing a vehicle from a dealership. I have referred as least 4 customers to Fred Fortson, and will cotinue to recommend Fred and Village Volkswagen to everyone I encounter. Ricky was very helpful and answered all of our questions. Spent alot of time with us as we test drove several cars and never made us feel that we were a bother by testing out several types of cars until we decided on which one we wanted. As it had been many years since we have bought a new car he made the experience enjoyable. Mike was also very helpful and made the financing go very easy. Would recommend the dealer to friends and family.

I have a 2009 Routan that has been plagued with problems. If not for the service and staff (especially Brandon) I would have traded this vehicle long ago and never returned to VW. Every question is answered intelligently and they work very hard to satisfy every need. They all go above and beyond.

My overall experience at Village Volkswagen was wonderful. They are extremely friendly and helpful. This is our second purchase there and I have never felt as though I was being taken advantage of. Our past experiences at car dealerships were not favorable. I tell people all the time how great they are.Jim Edgar is the sales person who we have dealt with now, for both purchases. He is a very kind and caring individual who seems to truly understand what his customers want and also has a great pride of the product he is selling. You want to purchase a vehicle from him, because you can tell that he believes in them. We never felt that we were "being sold" on something that we didn't want or need. He seems to steer you in the right direction. We now consider him a friend. That means a lot to us.Robert was wonderful in the final process as well, and again, I never felt as though they were trying to "sell" me anything, only that they were helping me through the car buying experience. We will do business there again, and will recommend this dealership to anyone who is interested in your automobiles. In addition, I have never had a problem with my vehicles, or the service and have been very complimentary of the quality of each of them.

Smitty is the best! There was no hassle - we told Smitty what we were hoping to do, and he worked out a deal for us. He had our car ready, and really took great care of us. If you go to Village Volkswagen, we HIGHLY recommend you ask for Smitty.

We did not end up buying from this dealership and probably won't buy a VW because of this experience since I like to The sales manager, Greg Pope, used all the sleazy car salesman methods, throwing out a bunch of numbers on the calculator, stalling us (when we wanted to leave for lunch), scoffing at the trade in values we looked up on the internet....All I wanted was a price on a car so that I could compare it knowledgably to other vehicles I am interested in...Also, my wife was offended by a conversation she overheard between Mr. Pope and a salesman (Jace Flatt) that was derogatory towards women.I expressed our concern to VW Sales manager Ron Kwiatkowski and he was very nice and apologetic. We did not have any issues with the salesman we were dealing with, Tim Duesler.

I have purchased two cars from this dealership in the past 5 years and have never had a negative experience. My appointments are always made promptly, the service advisors are always friendly and prompt, the over all experience at Village VW of Chattanooga is what keeps me coming back. I have purchased 3 Jetta's from Smitty. I have never been more satisfied when dealing with a car saleman. Every eperience was great. Never any pressure and was giving everything promised. Will go back to buy next car from Smitty. I would reoommend everyone to go deal with Smitty. Service department has always treated me good and done work in a timely manner.

This dealer has Adjusted the cars.com on a 2011 VW TDI stock # V12764A advertised price of $18,000 up to $26,000. This was after they took my charge card numbers to secure the purchase. When I questioned the Sales Manager about the raise in price, he immediately made me the bad guy, stating he had a disclaimer on price. He told me go ahead a get a lawyer. Obviously this dealership doesn't feel obligated to truth in advertising.

This is only the third new vehicle I have purchased, but am always spooked by what you hear concerning car sales, and my first two experiences weren't anything to brag about. I had such a positive experience at Village though, and I give all the credit to Fred Fortson, the sales consultant who I purchased my awsome jetta wagon from. No pressure, extremely professional, knowledgeable, fair and very accomodating. I have a crazy schedule, and he always worked with me, and was very patient (I am slow! to make any kind of big ticket purchase). For the first time I have a sense of "brand loyalty" - every car I have owned has been a different make. But based on my overall experience with Village so far (almost a yr now), I hirely recommend Village and VWs, especially Fred; and at this point see myself staying in the VW family. I have already sent one friend who purchased a vehicle, and (they) had a great experience with Fred as well. People are quick to complain on sites - and I do understand - but not enough people write about the positives. This is my positive.

I bought my car from this dealership and even delt with the same guy when he worked in sales. He was really nice when I was there to buy a car and earn him a comission. The few times I have gone there for service it was horrible. I always end up dealing with Gene and he has always talked down to me and never seemed to care. It was always a rude experience. I drive all the way to the Al Johnson dealership in Dalton now so I dont have to deal with these people.

Could not have asked for a better experience. Wanted a pre-owned Routan and they found a perfect color and model match. Delivered on their promise to get me in one by month end. Financing can sometimes cause grief... not here. No pressure sales nor limited time offers. I've purchased several vehicles in my lifetime and this was by far the most pleasurable experience. It is a shame that our local VW dealership (Village VW of Chat) is unprofessional.I was there a few weeks ago, and was treated so poorly I went next door and purchased a Nissan. I assume they did not feel like selling a car that day? When I took my VW that I currently own in for repairs, they did such a terrible job when I went to pick up my car, my battery was dead. How does a 3 month old battery die at the dealership? Being very frustrated with this place, I asked the person whom gave me a ride to give me a jump. I will drive to Atlanta or Knoxville to a VW dealership before I ever go back to Village VW.

Today my family and I were at the (Chattanooga,TN) Volkswagen dealership. We had test driven the tiguan, jetta, vw bug, routan and toureg. All teriffic vehicles and we were treated so well by John Adams (salesman) and were completely enjoying the whole experience. When "Smitty", a different salesman, entered the picture. We wanted our last test drive to be the VW golf gti and there was still time before the dealership was supposed to close. "Smitty" told us that we couldn't keep tying up his sales people. (There wasn't even a salesman riding with us; who were we tying up exactly). So, I told him we couldn't decide what we wanted to buy without driving the cars. It sounded like he wanted us to leave and said that would be fine with him. "Smitty" continued speaking to me and my family in such a poor manner, that I began to wonder if VW realizes how horribly they are being represented by this individual. When I got home I tried to call customer care, they were closed, not to re-open until Monday. I plan to follow up on this, as I am sure that VW would also find this behaviour to be unacceptable.
