I usually don’t write reviews but I have to share my experience. I was in need of a new car, I was greeted at the door by Terrence McClain he was/is the nicest, and most respectful sales person he was very knowledgeable about every car we took out for a test drive, I couldn’t have asked for a kinder soul. Purchasing a car has never been easy for me, Prior to purchasing my Honda at VIP I had two previous cars from different dealerships. The experience I had with my previous dealership was very scarring because in both scenarios I genuinely walked away not feeling happy and even a bit frustrated. I’ve dealt with car sales man lying and scamming me and honest was all I was looking for. The day I purchased my car I went to another dealership VIP was indeed not my first choice for the simple fact I did not know about it. After getting lied to by the first dealership needless to say I was so upset. I walked into VIP Honda and the staff did everything they could do to help me be comfortable including giving me tissues to wipe my tears cause I was so upset at the experience I had at the other dealership. Frankie and the other gentlemen made the purchasing process a smooth and honest deal. I feel like I made the best purchase and I couldn’t be happier the staff that work here are truly caring and kind people. Being someone who works in customer service I truly appreciated the way the staff handled me with care and compassion and was able to listen to my needs and provided exactly with what I wanted without going over my budget. I walked in a totally upset for a previous experience with another dealership and walked out with a brand new car that I am completely in love with ;)

Classic bait and switch. Advertise a new Ridgeline Sport on Carguru's and their own website for MSRP which is 36,885 and when I asked for an out the door price since I am not a local buyer (they are in NJ and I am not) they come back with 42, 983. Over 6000 more than the MSRP or about 4,000 more than what normal dealer fees and taxes should be. This is why dealers have such a bad reputation, they earn it with shenanigans like this.

If ur buying Used car (not-certified) "Think Twice" . Car will all be good and nice when on the day you buy the car. In a week you start seeing all troubles, I bought a Honda CR-v 3 weeks back now i need to spend another $2K for complete repair. Wheel bearing failed (all 4), AC failed, One tire was loosing the pressure constantly, Vehicle makes huge noise when taking steep turns. If we complain, the common answer is " We sold the vehicle as is". but the point they forget is we are buying a car from dealership paying F*** $500 extra is for this guarantee. They sold the car to me when wheel bearings was so bad that vehicle was running like a helicopter !!!.. Sales does a pretty good job on selling the car.. but the quality of the Car really bad. SO Big NO for Buying a Used car at this dealership.

I have never seen such an irresponsible staff, they are extremely kind until they sell the car after that they do not care. I was there to turn my lease car in, called a couple time earlier to make an appointment, they never replied, even called Honda Financial Services, they couldn't event reach the them to make an appointment for me, so I showed up and they kept telling me the person was with a customer, am I not a customer? Just unacceptable, they not only lost me as a customer but also represent a very bad Honda image. Think twice before you buy Honda from these guys, do yourself a favor, go to another dealer.

This dealer is terrible, absolutely terrible. I paid cash and had to wait around for 3hrs before they realized I didn't need to talk to a finance person. Then they ruined the registration process, sent me back all my registration papers the day the temp tags expired, and forgot to reimburse my taxes which took 15 calls and 9 voicemails to get a response. Brian Hanson should be given a gold star for most inept person to ever try and handle a registration. Great job ignoring my voicemails for weeks my friend. It was a joy working with you VIP Honda. I hope you go out of business.

We went to VIP Honda. We were approved for the dealers rate of 1.9 % promotional rate. We purchased the car, but it was late Sat so they asked for us to come back Monday. We had many questions, as we were given a payment amount, but no breakdown. Upon my husband's return Monday, the process was slow and questions were not answered. We opted out of the deal. In the past three days we have gotten letters of 3 credit inquiries for our car loan. If we were approved at 1.9 why were additional credit inquiries done with TD, BA, and Capitol ?When called to inquire, finance person hung up. Certainly lost my business.

I see some pretty bad reviews on here and i really cant understand how a person so humble and so outgoing like Shafi can be so hated. Actually, i do understand. When my friend and i first got to the dealership i already knew what i wanted. Shafi wasted no time in approaching us and asked what are you looking for? I told him i want a Honda Accord and gave him the specs. He nodded and took me inside where he broke down the different models, all of which did not fit the standard until he got the Touring model. It is fully loaded and not only did he bring me one to test drive immediately, but he knew the cars gadgets as if it were his own. i was quite impressed. He gave me his time and in return i did what i could to take my car that day. i work in the hospitality field and nothing says comfort like the treatment from the person designated to fill ur needs. That being said, some people take complete advantage of what said representative is willing to/can do. They want to squeeze every last drop of the fountain, until it no longer appears to have any youth left. This is how i can sum this up. IF YOU DONT HAVE MONEY, STAY AT HOME. IF YOU HAVE NOTHING NICE TO SAY, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME TRYING TO BRING THE REST OF OUR LIVES DOWN TO YOUR MISERABLE LEVEL. VIP HONDA ROCKS, AND THEY HAVE A GREAT TEAM OF INDIVIDUALS ALL DOING AN IMPECCABLE JOB OF MAKING SURE PEOPLE LIKE MYSELF CAN WALK IN AND DRIVE OUT. THANK YOU AND GOODBYE!

I came to VIP Honda because it was the nearest Honda dealership to me, and I knew I wanted to buy another Honda. Shafi guided me through purchasing a 2013 CR-V. He was really knowledgeable and friendly. In fact the first time I came in I was just browsing and I appreciated that he gave me space, but also sent me home with solid information. Then he kept up with me over the next two months but without any pressure, and then finally I came back and bought. He set me up with a great deal and I've been very happy with my purchase. I'll definitely recommend VIP and Shafi to anyone in the market!

Was assisted as soon as I walked onto the lot. Shaffi was a big help in not only getting the car I wanted but also being well informed of the difference between trim packages and pros and cons of each. Shafi took me out on a test drive right away and helped introduce me to the few features I'm not accustomed to such as the turning lane assists. Entire process went very smoothly and they were quick to call me when the few additional items I purchased were able to be picked up. I'd recommend vip Honda , Shaffi and the crv to anyone who asked.

On one hand, there's a Honda dealership practically every ten miles along Rt. 22 from Hillside to Bridgewater. On the other hand, none of them have consistently good reviews. Trying to find a '17 Accord Hybrid, many dealers don't have them in stock. After lots of phone calls and emails, I was contacted by the dealerships at both ends with unsatisfactory results. VIP is the dealership closest to my home, so on a whim I stopped in with no appt. and no idea if they had one in stock for a test drive. Had the great good fortune to be greeted by Luis Cubi. This fireball knows the products and knows how to make a sale! Four hours of his non-stop energy pulling the deal together and coordinating the efforts of the folks in various departments and I'm driving away in my new Accord. No jerking around, no high-pressure upselling. I got exactly what I wanted at a fair price. I've been buying cars for 50 years and this was by far the best experience I've had. Luis treated with respect and consideration at every step (e.g. making sure I was comfortable during the necessary waits and keeping me apprised of progress). A very positive experience befitting a great car!

First let me Say this is the Second Car I have Bought From This Dealer. First Time was easy, Went back for Service, Service Department Was Amazing. Now to the Horror story, My Wife was looking for an SUV, Went in to trade in My Civic for a CRV, No Problem went to Franklin, test Drove one, wife loved it. made a deal. We then went to deal with John In Finance. made a deal all thought was Fine, next day was looking at Paperwork and Realized the Car was more then Sticker. Went back in the Next evening and was told it was due to remote start and Lojack, Never asked for and not Installed. Then they were charging me more for for associaries that were ordered, The prices on their website was Cheaper. He Fixed That, Thought all was set. great, 2 Weeks after we made original deal and Took the car home, Franklin called me and said we need to come in because my wife had to be on loan. went back in, John said he was trying to work it out with the bank but couldnt.. Fine, my wife went on loan, No issues, wish he would have told me this day one. At that time i told him we were going away and needed the plates by a certain date because we were not going to be back before the Temp Plates Expired, He assured us the Plates would Be In by before we were leaving. They didnt, We cut our trip short so we were out of state with expired Plates. Go to pick up the Plates and after paying an extra $8 in Motor Vechicle Fee (They sell these cars all day long, how do they not know what the Fees Are) Frankllin tells me he could have Waived Them.As much as i Like the Service Department (John), I dont think i can ever support this Dealership. Think i will have to go elsewhere for service, this stinks because they are a mile from my houseBTW, Called Honda Corp to file a complaint, They didnt seem to care, Dont think i will ever get another Honda

My wife and I went to the dealership to test drive the Accord. Shafi told us to sit and talk for a bit. After 1 hour of him talking about nonsense additional features and the HRV he asked if we were going to get the car (without even test driving!). I related to him that we needed a test drive first, however, he looked at his clock and noted it was 20 minutes before close and refused to take us for a test drive! I reminded him that the only reason I was there for a test drive and he was the one who wanted to talk but he started to insult us and told us "if you have nothing for me then why would I want to help you"! I again reminded him that I would never consider buying a car without the test drive and he said he did not care. He actually had the audacity to tell us to drive down to the Toyota dealer down the street and get the Camry!! We were in the process of talking to the front desk when he abruptly left the dealership to go home! The manager who was apologetic said that he did not have anyone to help us anymore. We drove straight to the Toyota dealership and signed on a new car! Thanks Shafi. I would not recommend this salesperson or this dealership to anyone in my family or friends. Mr. Shafi showed a very unprofessional and selfish attitude to his customers and has no respect for his job. I have never written such reviews but this level of disrespect cannot be tolerated!

these people do not know what customer service means. I was actually pressured to leave by the manager after wanting to negotiate pricing (and I was by no means unreasonable as I have done this many times before) The only person who treated me kindly and was respectful was the girl who answered my phone call and greeted me. These self entitled salesman could learn a thing or two from her.

when I went to this establishment I could not have been treated any poorer. The salesman immediately made me feel like I was wasting his time, would not make eye contact with me, and scoffed at me when I made a remark about damage to the car. When I asked to negotiate the man told me that he did not want to sell me the car and that I should go to another dealership. Most bizarre sales experience I've ever had in my life. Do not go here.

I had worst customer experience ever with this guy - Vanco. Pathetic sense of courtesy for customers and I wonder how can he be considered as Sales Consultant. I was looking for an SUV car and I already had the model in my mind. When I visited the showroom, this guy met in a very cold and rude way. Further I told him that I already know the car that I am looking for and I am just looking for a quote from them. That's it and this guy started talking in disgusting manner as if he doesnt even want to give a quote. When I asked him the price that he has in offering, he mentioned the MSRP. Further I asked him that what's the total amount that I will have to pay inclusive of taxes, etc. and he replied that he doesn't remember and there is no calculator in his brain. I can do the maths myself. How can someone be so rude to a customer!!! I just left the store immediately with worst ever experience. Management must really look into these low standard so called sales consultants who don't have basic courtesy to deal with customers.

My old car broke down, so I needed a new car ASAP. I already had my eyes in the new Honda Accord. Since the moment I woke into the dealership the customer service experience was excellent. My salesman was Richard Veras. He was very professional, well spoken and helpful. I explained my budget and I was looking for. He took the time to answer all my questions, show me the car and all its features without looking stress or out of character. I spoke to Shaffi over the phone and he convinced to come in to take a look at a 2016 Pilot and told me I wouldn't be disappointed. He definitely delivered! Unlike other salespeople I've dealt with in the past, Shaffi really took the time to show me the ins and outs of the car and didn't rush me. He answered all the questions I had and even told me about some things I didn't even think of asking. Shaffi was great and I definitely know where I'm going to get my next vehicle!

I dropped of my V6 Accord 07 by the night drop off, and I requested [Diagnostics to check intermittent engine starting]. They wanted to perform a call back item (for the power steering) which I did not care about. I allowed them to do hoping that they will help me with my problem.To my disappointment and losing third day without the car. They told me that their guess is that it might be either the ignition switch or the starter. I authorized them to replace the ignition switch and I declined the steep cost they wanted for the starter $700.00. They gave me my car back without finding the cause of the problem and they charged me $220.00 that I paid just to get my car back and never return to this delaer.

It was hard not to judge before I even started with my experience after seeing negative review after review!! I want to give the sincerest of thanks to VIP Honda and most of all Nato for an absolutely unbelievable experience! His professionalism and patience with my choice of car made my 3 hours of journey to your dealership worth the entire trip! He went to great lengths with me; granted all of my requests in my examination of an, 09 Honda Civic Si. After polite and cordial negotiations with one another, he ultimately earned my business. I'm so happy with my choice. Not once feeling any pressure to do anything that I didn't feel comfortable with!!! Thank you so much Nato for everything; I will never forget my purchase experience and chats of Futbol!I highly recommend purchasing from VIP Honda! ... And consider, sometimes you can't let negative reviews effect your judgment. Gwen and other service contacts are friendly and personal! Men who take and return the cars and keys greet you politely and with enthusiasm. Cashier is attentive and explains details. Loaner car had something in it and the man found me to see if I had left it! I had not, but that was very considerate!Personal care and attention goes a long way! Makes me feel safe to drive my car because attention to detail seems to be a commitment from the top down!

All the folks at VIP Honda were great. The price was compelling enough for us to come from out of State. We called several dealerships in different parts of the country and no one followed up or answered all our question once they found out we were not local. At VIP the experience was completely different we had the good fortune to deal with Ramon Rosario, even by phone he was able to finalize the transaction expeditiously. Flew to NJ from TX, Ramon was at the airport to pick us up on his day off, stayed with us throughout the transaction and afterwards even led us to our hotel. The service is outstanding enough for us to do it again. Look forward to dealing with Ramon in the future

I went to purchase a new car my credit was bad so I didn't have a big number of cars to choose from I was rushed and was very desrespected by this guy, he was rude and ignorant towards me. He THEN CALLED ME AND ASKED ME FOR MONEY ON THE SIDE FOR HIMSELF A COUPLE HUNDRED DOLLARS. Because he's not making anything out of the deal. Every dealer does, He didn't want to help at all. I will never recommend this garbage place to anyone mostly when there so corrupt and illegal in there asking for money on the side in cash for doing there job won't ever go there oh and there financial sales person Juan Saldivar kicked us out his office because he wasn't in the mood he had no intentions on helping us or anything rushed to get our title signed when we haven't even came to a agreement on a car if your going there to buy a car I suggest RE THINK THIS PLACE and re read the reviews because of them both. I reached out to head Honda and filed a complain and taking legal actions towards the harassment they did there to me and my girlfriend. Knowing I am a US VETERAN I will never again do repeat never set foot in this place.

Brought my 06 Ridgeline in for the air bag recall and decided to have some needed maintenance at 93,000 miles done at the same time. Brakes, oil change , transmission service, as well as the timing belt and water pump replacement. Gwen arranged for a courtesy car which came in handy as the work could not be completed in one day, and further inspection found broken compliance bushings which needed attention, as well as spark plug replacement . I notice the difference in the vehicle since the service and am very pleased with the results and service. THANK YOU.

My Honda Odyssey had been making a funny whinny sound and not generating sufficient power while starting from standstill. After tolerating it for a few days, I took it to the dealership. They told me that they would charge me a $100+ fee for running diagnostics and will adjust it against the actual repairs (if I chose to get it fixed with them), Since this seemed to be the SOP, I agreed to it and asked them to proceed with the diagnostic. The person from the dealership called me in the afternoon (I unfortunately did not catch his name over the phone) and said that my transmission was slipping and the only way to fix it was to replace the transmission and the charge would be $5200. Of course, I don't have that kind of loose cash lying around and told him that I would live with it as long as it lasted. A couple of days later, while discussing this with a friend of mine, I was given the contact of another garage which specializes in Japanese cars and asked me to get a second opinion. Thanks to him, I took my car over to him and within the test ride, he was able to pinpoint the problem to a leak in the exhaust system causing the noise and the loss of power. The transmission, he guaranteed was running perfectly. Upon further look, he found a hairline crack in the exhaust pipe. He replaced the small portion of the pipe for a mere $200 (labor included) and the van is now running beautifully. My entire faith in this dealership is completely shot and I will never ever go back to them again. I figured that I am nobody special and they must be doing this to many other gullible clients and I need to tell them my story.

I drove 2 hours to get to this dealership after seeing an amazing price online and checking the availability via phone. The price was legitimate, however that was the only positive thing about my experience. This day-long experience dragged out because the salesman Ramon couldn't actually find the cars we were looking for. We drove all around 2 separate lots (each on either side of the highway) with the salesperson Ramon holding the key out the window and pressing the alarm button, while hoping to hear the alarm go off. This lasted for quite some time until we found the car with a hand written note in the window that said "sold. money in the house." As it turns out, it was not even close to sold and we ended up with the car. I wanted to pay cash, but Ramon nicely asked that we finance part of the car so he "looks good to his boss." I agreed and filled out the financial paperwork and the numbers checked out. Once I was moved to the finance department across the street I waited for 30 minutes before meeting with John. There was all of a sudden an extra $2,200 added to the cost of the car on all the paperwork. When I asked about this, I was met with responses such as "oh don't worry, it's included in the price" and "it's just part of the monthly payment." After explaining that it was EXTRA and an OPTIONAL warranty, I declined it. I watched in shock as John redid the paperwork in the computer and watched him manually change my interest rate from 4.5% to 5.15% as a response to me declining the $2,200 charge. At this point, I was so tired of dealing with these people, I just signed and left. Let's not forget the fact that Ramon couldn't find the second key to the car after searching for it for over an hour. He "gave me his word" that he would either find the key or give my a credit to get a new one. Now my temporary tag has expired and no one there can help me about getting my registration and plates. They just keep forwarding me to mailboxes that no one responses to. And Ramon has not returned any of my messages about the key. This stressful experience is not worth the deal!!!!

If you are going to VIP Honda, then make sure you talk to Gilbert in Sales. I bought my new Honda Odyssey 2015 EX-L on Oct 2014 and got the best deal from VIP Honda. I had done a lot of research on pricing and Gilbert made sure to match the price (to the extent possible) to other dealers in NJ. I happened to talk to other guys in VIP dealership (before I met Gilbert) for sales quote but not all are pleasant and helpful. It looks like they are forced to do sales job. I felt that I had more knowledge of Honda sales and promotions then these people.

Got a call and it wasn't a pleasant one, personally found the person to be rude on the other end and even mentioned that to the person. Had plans to stop by at the dealership but I can certainly take my business elsewhere.Not a reflection on the entire dealership but certainly not a way to win customers.

I've been warned about this dealership but decided to check them out for myself. I took a look at few of their cars for sale because the "internet" price was attractive-found out why as clearly the cars were either rentals or abused and in very poor shape aside from their heavy wax job and tire shine - after working at a dealer for years, you get to know some sneaky tactics and this place is all about that as far as their used/certified business. I imagine with all their fees and indifferent sales people, a new car purchase wouldn't be much better.

I have just purchased my first used car. When first coming to the dealership to purchase/view the vehicle I was a little anxious to buy it due to the amount of miles on the used car-- while also being afraid of being sold a car that will die extremely soon. Yet, Richard helped to ease my mind about the purchase. He sold me on the 2001 Nissan Pathfinder. Helped me see the flaws, but also the good things that can come from having this vehicle. I would definitely come back!

Luis offered us great service when we went there to get a used SUV. We originally went there to see a Pilot since we are starting a family and we travel a lot.. So we wanted a good-size car. The car we saw online was already sold out. Luis showed a CR-V instead that was perfectly detailed and in a great shape. He let us test drive the car and offered a great price on it. Unfortunately, I, the wife ;) decided to pull out of the deal at the last minute because I felt that we really needed a bigger car and it was a kind of a rash decision we made based on the look and the state of the car and the good price we were offered. Although he spent hours with us and we pulled out at the last moment literally right before signing the contract, Luis had such great patience and was kind about it. He said he really wants us to feel satisfied with the purchase. They so deserve a great review for the quality of the product and the service they offered. Oh and the owner Mr. Vince came to us and chatted with us. He was a handsome, charming, and young ;) gentleman. Just when you go see a car, make sure you research profusely and know clearly what you want. Otherwise, you may end up making a rash decision you might regret later.

As soon as they think, they messed up with you, they give out completely wrong name of the employees so you can't complain about them on Dealerrater. They have a serious problem here....They are just bunch of liars. I have seen same complaints from other people about the same.....Jose Pasqual is the name that was given to us but he is not an employee at VIP Honda....Alfred Deno is a liar and gave out numbers that weren't approved by his manager plus his Manager was really rude who agreed to one number before and when the customer is ready to pay that amount, they changed the number saying it's our fees!!!! Then they shoud give the final amount to the customer INCLUDING all the Fees not add the Fees afterwords once the customer is ready to write a check!!!!!!

I wanted to trade my CR V which had 3300 miles on it. Alfred told me I will have to pay minimum $2k to $3k the max. It was only one model year difference for the trade. once I was ready to pay $3000, Alfred said I have to pay fees on top of that so the number is $3709. I said why did you say max $3000 that I have write a check for. Then Alfred said let's meet halfway and pay $3300. Once I was ready to pay $3300 he said my boss can't take less than $3500. In short, these people don't keep their own words. I was a returning customer who bought that car from them and they still couldn't keep their words....they are bunch of liar's. I would not trust them.....they gave me wrong name of management as Jose Pasqual!!!!

I contacted VIP HONDA on Thursday March 12, 2015 about 6:42pm in the evening after being burnt by another sales person from another Honda Dealership. I was able to speak with Jeannette Macpherson, the VIP HONDA internet sales Rep who listened to me vent for about a half an hour about my bad experience with the other dealership. Jeannette agreed to match the written price that I got from the other dealership and by Saturday March 14, 2015 at 11am, I entered VIP Honda. I met with Jeanette and the sales person Alex Veras, who was great and actually patient given that I was extremely apprehensive. I met with Charles, the sales Manager and Phillip, the general manager and we completed the sale at the previously agreed price. I did my financing with Juan and got my 0.9% financing and was out the door by 2pm, in enough time to get to work on time. I don't ever recall leaving any car dealership in this record time. I don't ever recall visiting any dealership where games were not played. I must say, my experience with the VIP Honda team was very positive and I highly recommend this dealership.

I was walking around outside looking at pre owned certified vehicles, I was rushed at by 2 salesman fighting while coming over to me, rushed into a credit application without even driving the vehicle, I felt like I couldnt event breathe. I was then taken into finance office where I was told a percentage, and I knew it was completely ridiculous amount of interest rate, my credit is above 700 and I have a previous honda , I knew the amount was obsurd. I started to try to figure out why it was so high(16%) and after fighting with management they dropped it all the way down to 4.5% , now I have a friend who does finance and he told me if I agreed to the high interest rate they would have made a killing off of me, be very very careful they are ruthless and uncaring, very rude and im very unsatisfied with the service they gave me after my family has been dealing with them for over 10 year's. You will here them talking about a "crack", that means they are trying to "crack" you in the head with the price! Be extremely cautious while your at Vip honda, they certainly do not treat their customers as VIPs as they advertise falsely.

Had the same experience as other people posted on this forum. They play games. Promise a price in the email just to get us into the show room, then they totally change the prices. I was promised a price and told they have all the colors available in stock. But when went into the show room, sales man looks my price quote and went inside to discuss with manager, comes out and says they do not have any cars in stock for that price. I was not even given any other options to wait for a week etc. George Nealis (internet sales manager) promised all the things over email, but did not even bother to come out to greet us.Never going there again.

Walking in the door I was greeted by the manager Robert who made me feel welcome and introduced me to a salesman Alex Veras who took the time to show me cars and explain and answer all my questions. Once I decided what car worked best for me Alex introduced me to John Castellanos who help me with the finances which went very smooth. Numerous times during the process Robert showed up shook my hand and ask who my transactions was being handled and if I was being taken care of. I was very happy with the whole transaction.

To Whom it May Concern, Just passing this along since I got no response from Adam himself nor did the owner return my call. I will be sure to post this on every website I possibly can. Enjoy. 11/21/14 I wanted to share my horrible experience with the team at VIP Honda in North Plainfield. Their leasing department team is very unprofessional and extremely rude. I dealt with David Otero and Adam Kuczynski. David handled the actual return of the vehicle in which he told us to come and that he'd wait for us the night we were arriving late; come to find out he was locking up and leaving when we arrived. He rushed us thru inspection, took my original paperwork, said he'd mail us copies of paperwork and never did and assured us a manager would call us if they had any issues with inspection. We continued to get a bill for excessive mileage and when I called to discuss this matter with the General Mgr, Adam Kuczynski tonight 11/20/14, he was very defensive, rude on the phone, cut me off when I was speaking, accused me of lying and was very sarcastic and in the end hung up on me mid conversation after asking me if "I was done yet"???? I can not believe the level of unprofessionalism these two individuals possessed. I will never ever buy another Honda again and will certainly be sure to share this experience with everyone I know. Stay away from VIP Honda in N. Plfd!!!

So, I received an email stating that I was eligible to upgrade my car for similar pricing. I decided to walk in and get a quote to see what my payments would be and mostly to figure out what the email was saying. I felt a little pressured to make split decisions then and there. When I had stated that "I was only there for a quote," I kind of felt like she was too pushy and wanted me to do more than what I came for. Not to mention, she asked me more than 3 times as to why I came in today ( with an attitude) and I continuously told her I wanted to JUST GET A QUOTE! After that I sensed more of an attitude and I greatly did not appreciate that! After paying this car off, I will not be purchasing from this dealer ever again. Also, I do not suggest that anyone buy a vehicle from here as well.

So I return back to VIP Honda after 7 years of my first complete purchase for a 2005 Honda Civic LX Vehicle in hopes to Upgrade. I walk in, or should i say drive in since the dealership is off of Route 22 North Plainfeild and I live 45 miles away. Right away I was greeted by Richard Freeman, a sales representative in which my mom did business with in the past. It was a pleasant surprise for her because she had not seen him for years and was very pleased by the service he provided to her with her vehicle purchase. Not letting my guard down with him because to me he was still a sales representative and I had worked sales before in past careers and know that some tell you anything just to make the sale and commission. This was not the case at all with Mr. Freeman. I explained to him that I was looking for a used but newer Acura and if not that I would go for an Infiniti if they had one that I would like. I did tell Richard Freeman that I could be possibly swayed in another direction if what I specifically was seeking was not there or there were/was a better option, afterall I was searching for vehicles that were not necessarily Hondas. After no car in the lots matched what I liked or imagined I glanced over to a corner where a beatuiful silver bullet was spotted. It was a 2013 Lexus ES 350. I didnt make mention to it, but Mr. Freeman introduced it to me and I got to get inside it and test all the features out which well satisfied my expectations and needs. I test drove it down the highway and around to get a real feel for it. At that moment I realized that I was blinded before. BLinded by the fact of me wanting to choose an Infiniti, knowing that I have heard many bad reviews about it, rather than a Lexus which is highly respected and reliable. Long Story short, I made an amazing decision, and that was purchasing the 2013 ES350 Lexus. Mr. Richard Freeman is the man responsible for making me see and make one of the better decisions I made in 25 years of living. I reccommend this salesman, in fact I would consider him a friend now because he made the experience very comfortable, accertive, and taught me a lot about the vehicle that I had not known. He assured me that the Lexus tops all the previous decisions I could have and I would be Extremely Satisfied. Five days has gone by and the excitement grows more and more everyday about my new beautiful car. In fact, Richard Freeman has called me less than a hour ago to check on me and my 2013 Lexus ES350 Silver Bullet. Continued service after the purchase makes it an even better choice. I've purchased new vehicles from VIP previously and found both sales and service personnel to be reliable and helpful. In August, I purchased a new CR-V and a used Acura TL. This was my first experience with the used car division and I am happy to say that they too are dependable. In fact, the Acura developed a serious, but previously undetectable, transmission problem shortly after purchase, which was repaired under warranty. David was helpful to me as I selected my CR-V; he didn't pressure, and he DID listen a lot.Richard was patient and agreeable as I took far longer than necessary to choose a second vehicle from the used car lot. Robert and Martin were quite patient with my fretting over the repairs to the Acura, and they certainly came through for me with a very expensive repair.I anticipate that the new car service department will continue to be the professional, courteous and efficient operation I have come to know with my previous Honda. I called in today and spoke with a service associate Ted, and I have never been treated so poorly. I was calling to try and fix a problem I've had with my car for 2 years. I've come to the service center before and no one was able to figure out the problem. They gave me the wrong code and said "good luck." He was rude and constantly talking over me, not listening or trying to be helpful. I called again to speak with the service manager and it was like nothing had changed, still rude, raising his voice, and interrupted me every time I spoke. Nothing was resolved, and all I wanted to know was which serial number to look at.

This was the first car I purchased from VIP Honda. David Otero was friendly, knowledgeable and made the purchase very easy. The quote I was given via email was the same price offered to me at the dealership. No gimmicks or aggressive sales tactics. The color car I wanted was not on their lot so they were able to get the one I wanted in a few days. David did not try to push me to purchase a different color from their lot. My 22 year old car had finally died, and I was not used to shopping for or paying for a new car. We went to several dealers and spent many weeks this summer being intelligent consumers. I found the car shopping process tedious, confusing and bizarre, but when we finally landed at VIP Honda, it was a relief. Janet Ghazouani, our main Sales Representative there, was courteous, caring and not pushy. All in all, if we were just choosing a car on that alone, that is where we would have bought. My husband saw an unusual AWD, and sent me over to evaluate it for our son. I did not like his choice, but nearby was a less expensive, sturdy, decent 2005 Honda CR-V that would be safe for a young driver. Mr. James did not try to talk me into the more expensive vehicle. So I did some research before going to this dealership. I saw many reviews said they won't honor online prices and they will play tricks like, when you walk in the dealership, they will say "the car you quoted was JUST sold out and we have a similar one but with more features so it would cost you a bit more ONLY...etc". So I got my online quote, which was pretty good, and went to the dealership. When I walked in, I told them I was looking for George and the sales man David asked me to wait. 10-15 minutes later he came back and said he will take care of me instead of George. So I gave him the quote I got from VIP and he said he had the car and will show it to me. He asked us to wait so he will pull up the car. 10 minutes later we saw the car and he asked us to get in and take a look. So here's when the trick begins! He sat in and point at the screen and said, "look, we have a problem, everything in this car is exactly what you want, except one thing, this car has a navigation". I said I don't need it and I just want my quoted EX-L model without the navigation. He then started the trick I saw on the Internet, "we just sold the car you quoted and we have this car here with the exact color and features you like." I asked him how did he get the key for this car if the car i wanted JUST sold out. He said he accidently had the key for this car in his pocket!? I asked how much it is and he gave me a quote that's $3000 more than my original quote!? I laughed and said no and was ready to leave. He then immediately said he will have the car I quoted shipped to their dealership next week and wanted me to put in a deposit!!? I was so mad at their tricks so i said if you want me to buy it here, you will need to give me a price lower than the original quote. Of course he went in and asked the manager and after 15 minutes, Vanco finally came out of the office and said they already had the best price on the quote and to negotiate again doesn't make sense!? Ok, so I just said thank you and I walked away. I went to an other dealership 2 days later and I got the car I like at a even lower price and the sale person there made it extremely comfortable to buy my new car. VIP Honda is definitely the worst dealership I have ever been to and I will NEVER go back again. Don't be tricked by the 5 stars reviews that were obviously written by VIP honda!!

VIP Honda send us a price through their website but when we got there, they played the game like they were going to honor the price of the car they confirmed available minutes before our going there. Even after reneging on their internet price by about a thousand dollars saying it was a mistake, we came to an verbal deal higher than the internet quote with the salessman who had to have a front desk mgr approved it . Minutes later , salesman walked to the backoffice and again reneged on our verbal deal simply saying the backoffice manager turned down the deal. We totally wasted 2 hours or so with that horrible dealership. I had owned many cars, this was the first time in my car buying experience where a salesman shake on a verbal agreement after obtaining approval & the dealer boss reneged. Blessing in disguise for us that we do not have to deal with this sleazy dealership again.

Last month, I purchased a 2014 Honda Accord from VIP Honda. Janet was recommended by a friend. I set-up an appointment to meet with her. She was not the typical pushy sales person who is only interested in making the sale. She was very professional and addressed all my concerns - and I had a lot of them since I went through a bankruptcy about 1.5 years ago. I did a lot of research prior to meeting with her and I would recommend that you come in prepared knowing what the price of the car should be and current interest rates. Janet worked with me to get the best price for the car and best interest rate. I did not buy the car that night. I actually went home that night to do some more research. The next day, I went back and negotiated a slightly better interest rate and drove the car home that day.I will definitely recommend Janet - she will work with you and make you feel comfortable with the whole process. She tells you what the next steps are and who you will be seeing and why. She is very honest and will not try to push you into something you are not comfortable with and works hard to get you the best price and interest rate.Thank again Janet for all your hard work - I really appreciate you and VIP Honda working hard to get me a really great interest rate!

When I complained to the manager he just sat in his office chair spouting how his dealership was number one in customer service. If being rude is considered acceptable customer service then my business will be taken elsewhere. Do not let this dealership push you around. Push back and demand better treatment.

I wanted to purchase the Honda Fit and saw this dealer had a blue sport in stock. The next day I arrived when they opened and they said they didn't have any. I was ready to walk, but then they came up with a blue fit, the one they said they didn't have. I test drove it and liked it so decided to negotiate a price, plus I had a trade. OMG, what a fiasco. With the trade when they appraised it, they held my car key hostage, lol. So I couldn't leave, they held on to the key. Now when all was said and done, getting ready to leave, they handed me a key. One key fob for the new car. I asked where the other is, the reply was it comes with one key. Before leaving and signing off, I had the write they owe me a key, no charge. Since I have purchased 2 Hondas at other dealerships. Yesterday I purchased a new Civic from a Dealer in Old Bridge. What a smooth purchase. Although VIP was recommended and I know customers who go there, I would not purchase from them, unless the Management has changed since.

I had been searching for my next car for 2 weeks and visited 3 other dealerships before I took the hour drive to VIP Honda. There, I realized how simple the process can be when given the right salesperson. I was set to buy a car at a different dealership the next day, but took a trip to VIP Honda to test drive one more particular vehicle before I made my purchase. I spoke with Nelson before coming in to ask about an SUV on the lot. When I got there, he had it parked in the garage so I could get a good look at it out of the rain. He took the time to open the hood for me and show me different features inside the car before I even drove it. He was very laid back and I never felt pressured or rushed into buying a car from him. I purchased the vehicle for a price that was very fair and that I was able to feel good about. This laid back, no pressure attitude was present in every employee I worked with that day. Nelson made my first car buying experience a great one! I will definitely recommend him to anyone I know that is looking for a car in the future.

The first time me and my wife went in there, they gave me a great deal on what I wanted to buy but I thought I could find better and walked out. After a couple of weeks in the market, I realized that VIP Honda was the best. Their people, their process and their price - cannot beat them. My sales person was a really nice and friendly gentleman by the name of Roman Alpin. He welcomed us into the showroom and gave us all the information that we needed to make our decision. Very kind and understanding man. In addition to car negotiation, he would also indulge in small personal talk about family values, his own life etc. Very refreshing, especially cause no one does it these days. Very friendly family atmosphere. I would definitely recommend Roman to any prospective buyer that walks into this showroom. The sales manager on duty was Vanco Eftimov - a tough negotiator. I had no issues with him. Seemed like a very straightforward and sincere person. If he was negotiating with me hard, that is because it is his job. Dealerships have to make a profit just like everyone else, in order to stay in business. He gave me a good deal and I am not just speculating. I know from shopping around a lot that I got a good deal and I have Vanco to thank also. Juan Saldivar was the finance guy/business manager - again no issues. He seemed like a nice person, just like everyone else there. If people don't need add-on charges during the buying process they have to be wary. For example, dealerships will try to sell you their extended warranty and if you don't want it, make sure you keep your eyes open and decline it. Such things usually sneak in during the loan paperwork so please watch out. I wouldn't blame the dealership if they want to sell you something. They are not trying to rip you off - they are trying to make their money and if you don't want them to make it off of you, please be careful. Now comes the best part - I just interacted with Adam Kuczynski [The General Manager] about 3 hours ago [Tuesday]. He was simply awesome - extremely professional guy and very helpful. Here's why - On Monday, I bought my van and drove it home while my wife drove our older car back. It was dark by the time I parked my van in my driveway. I left it there because I was not planning on driving it until Thursday [because of personal reasons]. Me and my wife had to go somewhere and we left the new car on my driveway and drove off in the old car. When we came back in some time [45 or more minutes later] I pulled up behind the van and my headlights shone on a big ding on the left hand side of the van! Needless to say, this was a big shock. I just made the second biggest purchase in my life and I see a huge dent on it. I had no clue how it happened - was it in the dealership during the detailing, did I not check properly before I drove off, or did it happen on my driveway, caused by some vandal? It definitely did not happen on my way back. I would've known if someone rear-ended me. Unfortunately I will never know. The next day I drove into the dealership and since Roman and Vanco were off duty, I was introduced to Adam. Like a good leader does, he immediately took charge, walked to the van to check out the damage, called his guys if they knew something and after confirmation that no one had seen anything unusual, he said he would take care of it for me. I was blown away by his professionalism and demeanor. He gave me the benefit of doubt and said that he was not interested in fault finding or blame game - since I was a customer and I just drove away the car a day before, he said he would get it fixed at no cost...all out of goodwill. Thank you VIP Honda family - you really made me feel like a VIP! I wish you more success in your business.

Dishonest pricing. They always provide a price quote that does not include the destination charge, often about $800, and they compare it to a Honda MSRP price that includes the destination charge. What they do is add the destination as an addition on the sales order.

I was very pleased with the experience..Unfortunately the car had a problem with the passenger door and I had to bring it back to be fixed the first week I had it. My salesperson, Nelson, was helpful and pleasant to deal with. I told him right up front what I was looking for in a vehicle, and I also told him that sales pressure would have a negative effect on any business we would conduct. He was able to minimize that pressure. He gave me the keys for a test drive, and told me to take the car out for as long as I wanted- and he didn't have to go with me. I was very happy to go without him. When I finally decided to purchase this car, I felt that the price was fair for what I was getting. The manager was willing to bargain and we were able to strike a deal satisfactory to both of us. When I picked up the car, all of the requests that I made were taken care of, and done to my satisfaction. All in all, not an unpleasant buying experience.

I was very impressed with this dealership from the moment I walked into the building. I knew exactly what I wanted. David Otero assisted me through the entire process. I worked with David Otero and must say that he is an outstanding sales person because he listened to my needs and addressed them so therefore was able to offer things I might want based on this and not sharing wants that would not apply to me. He also is knowledgeable so answered my questions with clear concise responses. He took the time to understand my needs and then offered a car that fit them. I did learn that he was training others and I would offer that he continue in this role as new hires could learn quite a bit from him. He made me feel comfortable and relaxed through out the process and was prompt with follow up from the questions I raised after my initial visit.Overall, if I needed to purchase another car or new someone that was interested in purchasing a car I would recommend this dealership and would send them to David Otero. If he was busy I would instruct them to be patient and wait for him.

I went there with quotes in hand and offers by other Honda dealers. Told them what I wanted. I was then told they had to drive offer to see the car, but first the salesman Franklin has me get gas in the car he was driving over. Why I had to go is beyond me. We go back, negotiate and while still not the best offer thet were close but offered service incentives. I told them what i had offered and they were dumbfounded. They couldn't believe it. They asked who offered and i told them. They then produced one bad review this other dealership had and spent the next 15 minutes telling me how bad the other guy was. Not my style to put others down for self gratification as it seems it was theirs. The then 'worked' the numbers to get to the offer only to then tell me the interest rate was 1.05% higher. Told them what i had, they kept insisting it 'not them, its finance'. they even brought some manager called kevin and when I askd about the financing he copped an attitude. I got up to leave. Elio came after asking me that if he could get the rate would I do business, I said I would and asked him to send me an email. The email never came and when I sent one to him asking. No reply. I then called and had a manager named Andie who had attitue plus caliming she had to track Elio down as he was off and wanted me to fill out a credit app. I asked why i wasn't given that last night, she just added a higher level of attitude blaming Honda for not confirming if they would grant me the interest rate i wanted which i had been already given by another Honda dealer. Told them if this is the service I am getting as a potential customer, I can only imagine what I would get after they have my money. Forget them. I

Visited this dealer for a new cr-v. What a tricky dealer ! First gave base Honda discount, then when shown competitor price, immediately dropped price! Forces a 'safety package' on buyers for $995. When asked what it contains, wheel locks ($50 retail)+ paint protection (?!!!!) + another unnecessary feature !! Sales quickly showed flyer for 2s then hid it back under other papers ! Amazing ! No deal, even with manager coming over. Got a letter few days later so called and told straight how much I would buy. Sales told me he would check and call back. 2 h later he called and asked what time we can come on following Saturday. When we went, he played ignorant and gave us old price from week earlier. Just pretended we did not talk price on phone !!Beware this dealer!!! Shabby and sleezy practices ! Bad omen on their later service professionalism if I would buy !Avoid at all cost !

I am by far pleased with the service I received last night. We were told when we called and made an appointment we would leave with a car and that is exactly what happened. Once we arrived we were greeted, asked if we wanted anything to drink and the process began. I particularly liked how Mr. Freeman kept us engaged in conversation up until the time we drove off with my sisters car. I normally do not write reviews but I was extremely pleased with the service we received honestly. I visited VIP Honda on August 24th with my dad to lease a new Honda Civic. Roman Alpin, who is a sales consultant, game us a warm welcome to the dealership. The service provided by Roman Alpin was excellent. He took his time to explain the whole process of leasing a car which it was very helpful for somebody with no leasing experience like me. Mr. Alpin gave us his undivided attention and best service I ever had. He cared about making a difference and he did. Roman introduced me to the owner of the VIP Honda Dealer Bill Vince, who was very nice and thoughtful business man. Mr. Vince took the time to personally thank us for choosing VIP as our dealer and to make sure that we were happy with the purchase. ALso, I met Vanco Stimof, who is the sales manager, he came to introduce himself and to make sure we were happy with the service and the leasing deal. I really felt special in VIP Honda. I went home happily that day driving my new Honda Civic Ex, Roman Gave me a very good deal for my car and I recommend him as your guy if you think about purchasing a Honda in VIP Honda Roman knows best. I totally recommend this dealer, even if you have to drive a little farther, the experience is worth it. Totally go and ask for Roman Alpin (sales consultant); you wont regret it.

Even before I walked into the dealership, I was greeted by David Otero. As I was walking up the sidewalk, he not only opened the door and held it for me, but he did it with a smile - something that is rare to see now-a-days. Immediately, I felt welcomed. I walked into the showroom and started looking around. I just started thinking about getting a new car; I made that very clear. David gave me the space I requested. After about 20 minutes or so looking at the Accord, I asked David for a brochure so I could take it home and compare between different makes. He came back 2 minutes later with a bottle of water and a set of keys. He told me looking is great, but price doesn't matter if I didn't like the vehicle (which made perfect sense). We went out for a test drive. He showed me how the backup camera worked, and even synced up my phone up to demonstrate how the bluetooth worked. He explained all the features in detail. After the test drive, we went back inside. We agreed on a price in minutes. I had 0 intention of walking out with a car - as I said earlier I was just browsing - but David was so knowledgeable and helpful, and he didn't make me feel pressured at all. I will recommend David Otero to all my friends and family, and will only deal with him in the future. He even called me a few days later to see how the new car was and told me if I had any questions, I could contact him anytime. Thank you, David Otero. You have earned a lifelong customer.

From the second I called the dealership I was impressed. I spoke with Robert Eberbach and he answered my extensive list of questions without requiring me to come to the showroom. I asked him what type of deals he could do for me with my credit rating and he was 100% honest. He did not pressure me and made sure I was comfortable with the payments before I went to the finance department. Richard showed me the different types of vehicles and let me test drive the SUVs longer than usual since it was my first time. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a vehicle, call Robert or Richard. Richard even picked me up from my practice the next day so I could finish the paperwork the next morning. They definitely made me this a pain free experience and I will never go to another place to buy a car. Thank to both of you!

Nelson was very pleasant, friendly, helpful and informative. His Customer Service skills were excellent. He provided us with all possible options. We knew we wanted to get a FWD CRV. Although Nelson knew that the 4WD was a better performer, he still provided us with vehicles under both options. From the moment I drove into the VIP Honda used car lot, I already knew from co-workers that the dealership had outstanding employees that take care of their customers. At that moment, I was met by William James. He immediately welcomed me in and knew exactly what he was doing to ensure that I found what I was looking for. Unfortunately, the vehicle I had come there for was sold, but there was a Jeep Cherokee which struck my eye as well. It was a bit out of my price range which was when Mr. James then brought me to his supervisor Robert Eberbach. The two of them sat with me and my wife and after looking through their lot, worked with me to get the best possible price for the Jeep that caught my eye. I was so excited that after speaking with them both, they worked with me and we were able to reach a price both reasonable and beneficial for all parties involved. After the purchase of the vehicle, Mr. James worked diligently to ensure that all my needs were addressed and making the transition process for the purchase to go as smooth and quickly as possible. I would definitely have to say that out of all my car purchasing experiences, this by far has been the best of all. Mr. James and Mr. Eberbach are fine examples of what customer service should be. On a side note, my wife and I were so satisfied with our experience that my wife would definitely consider coming back to VIP Honda when it's time to upgrade her vehicle. That says a lot when a woman is completely happy with an experience that only we men can tolerate.Mr. James and Mr. Eberbach I have nothing but great joy in saying that I love my purchase and I thank you both for all you did for me. As Mr. James said prior to leaving with my car "You know how we do! Show me some love!" I am a mother of two who is pregnant with twins - obviously, it was time to shop for a minivan! As a consumer, I pride myself on doing my research and not being afraid to travel to get the best deal, so I shopped every dealership in a 50 mile radius online before visiting no less than four in person. VIP Honda stood out from the beginning. I was impressed with Robert E, the Used Car Manager, on the phone. He took time to ask me what my needs were and gave me great information that helped me finalize the model I wanted. And when I arrived in person, Nelson was a true gentleman to this very pregnant lady (one might think that everyone would be...I assure you, that was not the case). Unlike the other dealerships, Robert and Nelson showed that they were interested in my business without crossing over into pushy salesmanship. Nelson even tried to sell me a car that was less than my budgeted amount! I ended up with a great car that I love, at a fair price that I could live with.Moreover, the personalities of the staff of the Used Car Sales side of VIP Honda made the experience...dare I say...FUN. I enjoyed buying my car from these guys, and feel like I can contact Robert or Nelson anytime with any issue. I will definitely go to them again when it's time for a new, used car.On a side note: I had to take the car in for a service a few days after buying it to fix a small issue that we were aware of at the time of purchase. I dropped off the car after hours and was given a loaner that simply could not comfortably fit my belly (it sticks out a mile in front of me at the moment). General Sales Manager Phil Petris came to my rescue with swift and impressive problem solving: he gave me one of HIS cars to drive for the day! I guess great customer service trickles down...

When I arrived there at the dealership, I just wanted to check out the prices like I had done at previous dealerships I had visited, but right away she made me feel comfortable, and suggested I take the Honda CRV out for a trial run to see how I liked driving it, if I had not done so before. I loved it even more after driving it. I was sold. I wanted one. She introduced me to the General sales manager. My experience with VIP Honda was beyond my expectations. I would gladly recommend the VIP Honda in Plainfield to anyone requiring a Honda. I was even introduced to the President of the company by Janet. A very charming gentleman. My wife were purchasing our first car and we had researched for a couple months for the right car. When we realized that the Honda Odyssey was the greatest value and highest rated in safety, it was a no brainer.We searched all over and thru the internet we found VIP Honda. We spoke with Andie and she helped us put the deal together. Andie was friendly, honest and extremely helpful. Afterwards, we dealt with Janet, who went above and beyond what was expected. Janet also helped with any detail we needed addressed and called us as soon as our permanent plates arrived. About a month into owning our new van, we had discovered an irregularity with our windshield, it was fogging up and streaking badly when it rained. I called Janet, she said "no sweat, bring it in, we'll take care of you." I brought our van into service via Janet and they happily replaced the windshield. I would recommend VIP honda to my friends and family, no doubt. When I first called to inquire, the receptionist was able to provide good information and treated me very professionally. I advised when I would be able to make it and she told me to ask for a specific person. When I arrived at the dealership the car was indeed on the lot but the individual I was told to ask for was not there as it was his day off. I waited for a bit and was approached if I was being helped a number of times. I finally met David Otero and he was very attentive. He showed me the car, was knowledgeable on the product and immediately provided the keys and prepared for a test drive. He made us drive to the Used car lot and introduced me to Robert Eberbach the used car manager. We discussed the vehicle I was interested in, and was able to be direct on what my intentions were. Since I was talking to the manager directly the negotiations were direct and quick. I felt a fair price was reached and did not feel at all pressured or intimidated throughout the process. The finance department Juan Saldivar was also very comfortable to work with and was very informative on the various options available.The whole experience was very good and I would recommend this dealership again.

I purchased a 2010 Honda Accord LX-P at VIP Honda on July 23rd, 2013. I was provided with friendly and prompt service by a salesman named William. He quickly addressed my needs and requests, providing me with several certified pre-owned vehicles to test drive and evaluate, Carfax reports etc.My experience ranged from OK to good. The pros were friendliness and customer service. The cons were overall price and quality of work. The car I decided to purchase I felt was priced too high considering some scratches and scuffs I found along the rear of the vehicle and I felt I could have gotten more for my trade in (2004 Honda Civic EX). We were able to negotiate a more realistic price in the end but they assured me they would fix up the scratches before I left the dealership and I didn't look like that was accomplished. One minor complaint after an overall satisfactory experience. I would do business here again the future.

My husband and I were skeptical when began our search for a used minivan. Although we narrowed our search to the 2010 Honda Odessey or 2010 Toyota Sienna (both good vehicles with excellent ratings), we were rather pessimistic about the experience we would encounter. Honestly, we still had a bad taste in our mouths from a past "car salesmen nightmare" that we survived when purchasing our Chrysler Town & Country in 2000. As the "hesistant wife," I encouraged my husband to consider using a different approach this time around. I suggested we avoid dealerships and try 'new age technology' such as e-bay or craigslist. He wasn't thrilled with the idea and as a compromise, he agreed to handle the first phase of the search if I agreed to consider dealerships. At the end of the first phase, he identified 2 dealerships (VIP Honda in North Plainfield and another Honda dealership in Langhorne, PA). I relunctanly visited both locations. Much to my delight, I was pleasantly surprised with the staff at VIP Honda. My experience at VIP Honda was vastly different from Langhorne, PA. My husband and I were immediately struck by how much the VIP Honda staff seemed to genuienly enjoy their jobs!! No hard sales pitches from down trodden staff desperately seeking to meet quotas. Instead, the staff was warm, hospitable, professional, upbeat, genuine and friendly. For example, David Ogega voluntarily sat with me for at least 1/2 hour in our Honda Odessey troubleshooting a navigation system issue. Nelson Kawuki meticulously ensured that the Odessey was cleaned to our satisfaction and identified other fixes that even we somehow overlooked. Overall, our experience with VIP Honda was outstanding (and a tremendous relief in comparison to past encounters with 'dealerships.') Although we will have to travel a bit farther, we plan to continue our relationship with VIP Honda by getting our Odessey serviced at their location. After all, at the end of the day, the importance of "trust" is much more important than travelling a few extra miles. GREER FAMILY

Even though she worked all day prior, Janet stayed past time she was supposed to leave (and eventually past closing) she never made us feel rushed. I've dealt with MANY Auto Sales Mgrs in the past. They will often talk down to you and MANY of them will not budge for of a matter of pride and are more willing to see you walk out the door than to work with you when you challenge their "final offer". Wow!! Janet won us over at hello. When we decided it was time for a new car we dreaded the fact that we had to embark on this adventure. You see we always had experienced the typical sales person, i'm sure you know what I mean. But, Janet was warm, friendly,and very hospitable. At one point I turned to my husband and said "smack me am I dreaming?" she was that amazing. We told Janet we wanted a CRV but were not sure which trim level we were interested in .Janet proceeded to pull up two trim levels and compared both of them side by side so we could have a better understanding of the differences. She answered every question we had and continued to ask us if we were sure of the differences. Then she said we will test drive both so you can experience both of them. I had a very unpleasant experience with this dealership. I was looking to lease a Civic and found a good lease deal on their website. When I called to inquire about the deal on the website I was told that they have to send me a quote from their internet department. They sent a quote for the lease payment that we even better. So I thought! When I went to the dealership the first sales person that I spoke with immediately said that the quote that I received required a large down payment. When I became frustrated the manager came over and pointed out that the fine print in the quote noted that it included a number of special incentives (which most people will not be eligible for). I then realized that the "better" quote that they sent after inquiring about the ad from their website was in fact a worse deal. This is a classic case of bait and switch. I am very glad that I walked out.

Overall we had a good experience; with only a few minor annoyances. We solicited an e-quote for a new Honda Pilot, and the great quote we got had a lot of fine print and various incentives that did not apply, and like won't apply to everyone. So going in you need to expect that whatever quote they give you over the internet will likely increase when you show up in person. And even though we had a bit of a math error (they incorrectly added up the total) and mistakenly forgot to include a line item in the total all together, as an appology they agreed to give us as discount on the installation of a roof rack. Despite these mistakes and the over aggressive e-quote price, they were friendly and easy to work with, and ultimately we were happy with the final result.

I felt that the dealership and the sales person, Janet Ghazouani, while certainly trying hard to sell the car were trying to do it in a positive manor sticking to the facts. I think they have that option because their product is really excellent and I am really enjoying it now. Also I ended up leasing even though I did not have that in mind going in. I don't think I really completely understood the concept though I had leased once before. Janet and the Sales Manager, Vanco Eftimov, explained it clearly and I really think it is the best option for me and my situation. And as stated before, the car, a CRV, is really great car and at the end of the lease I will probably get another CRV.I have not had any experience yet with the service department but believe that they will be up to par also.Harden Boyce.

Before I entered the doors of VIP HONDA in North Plainfield, NJ, I was driving an old car and never felt safe. As soon as I walked in, I was immediately greeted by the sweetest woman I've ever met, Janet Ghazouani. I have to admit, I was very nervous considering I never owned a brand new car before, but Janet was so helpful the nervousness immediately went away. She literally sat with me for hours (and I mean HOURS) to make sure I was happy, and happy I was!! I walked out of their with not only a brand new Honda Civic, but a re-assurance that I was safe. It's almost two years already that I have this car and she still reaches out to make sure I'm happy and everything is okay with the car! Stop by this dealership based on an add I saw referencing a used Honda civic that I was interested in... at first no one assisted me, but after 15 minutes Mr. Otero (David) came and answered all my questions. He was very knowledgeable on civics and accords. I appreciate his assistance for taking the time to school me on what Honda I really wanted. All were very professional as we looked at used car alternatives for my daughter who is just about to get her license. William was exceptionally helpful. He showed us a car which was exactly what we wanted and offered us a fair price for that. We had no trouble at all with an of the paperwork or purchase steps. William is very professional and friendly throughout the process.I will say, however, that the experience would have been slightly better had the dealership pointed out a dent in the car (we noticed it as soon as we got home); as well as given us a little more gas. As far as the dent, it would not have prevented us from buying the vehicle, but it was sold without mention at all. Furthermore, the dealer should indicate that there is little gas in the tank and offer to fill it (it doesn't even have to be for free!). We were so excited about the new car that we didn't notice that the gas registered on E until we got home. We hoped we could get to a gas station without incident (which we did). Overall, though, the experience was good and I would recommend this dealership. Next time, however, I know two additional questions to ask! "Does the car have any dents or nics?" and "How are we on gas!?"

He sat with me for TWO HOURS and let me run every single number until we came up with a combination that I was comfortable with. Even after everything, there was no pressure to purchase the car. No one ever made me feel like I was annoying them or being an inconvenience to them. This is a stark contrast to Garden State Honda, who didn't even want to pull a car out of the showroom for me to test drive!!! I am thrilled with VIP Honda and strongly recommend that you give them a chance to earn your business. I am the proud owner of a Honda CRV now and I just love it! All the bad reviews that comment on this dealership is totally true. This is THE worst dealership I've EVER dealt with. We purchased a vehicle from this dealership in June 2012. The salesperson who greeted us was fine, but when we went through the process of purchase, our nightmare began to roll. We had enough cash to get the vehicle, but we were told that this was not even an option. They only agreed that we cut a check of $3000 and the rest of it had to go through finance. And we agreed to accept this term reluctantly since we really dedicated our time to drive to this place with our baby together. With my 800 credit score, I was given a bad rate of 6% from TD bank. Fine, I swallowed this bitter pill for the sake of our baby. It was a few days later when I received the letter from the bank that I discovered that the rate was 4% from Chase. What a scam!Then as the unpleasant finance process went on, they tricked us again by forcing us to purchase the GAP insurance. I was really enraged and almost walked away. But on the second thought on our newborn and their promise that this is refundable upon cancellation, I gave in and took all the loss just in the hope to get home as quickly as we can. They have been trying to find all kinds of excuses to keep us in the dealership for almost the entire day and the baby was getting terribly tired.BUT this is only the beginning of the nightmare. Two weeks later in July 2012, we paid off the vehicle and sent in the GAP cancellation form with all the required paperwork. To make sure that they received the documents, we even took another one and half a hour to drive there and drop off the documents--the second copy. I waited patiently for almost one year for them to process the refund. But I haven't received the check, nor any words from them since then. I have trying to reach them via emails and phones for hundreds of times within a year, no one answered my request. Their finance guy, John Castellanos, is the rudest and most insincere person I've encountered. He lies. They have been trying to avoid me or find all sorts of excuses to refuse to give me a refund as they know it will be hard for me to drive there.Working with this dealership is a terrible experience. I am a professor who teaches in the university. Few things could agonize me as such. It has been wasting a lot of my time that I could use for other more important stuffs. But I will continue to fight for it not just because of a few hundred dollars but for the sake of fairness and integrity. Luckily I kept all the records and will get in touch with NJ Office of Consumer Protection to report this fraud. This business is a PROBLEMATIC place full of swindling.

Robert helped us get our 2013 CRV EXL NAV this past December and has followed up with us ever since. It was a good experience and we enjoyed the time. Robert set up the blue tooth and explained how to use it months later when we had trouble with it. We asked him recently about what type of oil we should use and he got back to us very soon and told us about oil changes and ordering more accessories as winter approaches. Ivan his manager was very helpful too. We are very pleased with VIP Honda.

Franklin was the most professional car sales associate I have ever encountered. He was patient with me and informative on narrowing down my car selection. I trusted his feedback and did not feel like he was pushing to meet a quota. Considering I failed to abide by the cardinal rule in car purchase (a woman should never be alone when buying a car), I was very satisfied with my selection. John, the manager, was also patient and answered all of my questions about the sales contract. He made sure I understood the terms and accommodated my situational needs. This should be the only place people should visit if they plan on buying a car. Make sure you ask for Franklin because he knows how to take care of his clients and John makes the deal a reality.

He was warm and friendly, had great product knowledge of the vehicle we were interested in buying, completely understood what we were looking for in a used car, and was considerate of the budget we were working with. The vehicle we test drove (and ultimately purchased) was immaculately clean, in excellent condition for a 2007 model, came with a free CarFax, and was reasonably priced. Before we took the car home the Sales Consultant spent about an hour with us to make sure we clearly understood how to use every feature on the car --- radio, heated seats, moon roof, all the lights on the dashboard, etc. He even took the time to show us where all the fluids go in the car! It is extremely rare these days to find a Sales Consultant so dedicated to ensuring a superior customer experience. This was our first time purchasing a car from VIP HONDA and definitely will not be our last!

I gave a hi rating for customer sevice and friendliness because Gwen Melisi is always a pleasure to deal with She is friendly, knowledgable, and very helpful when I'm trying to determine what service I need for my car. I always walk away from the service feeling that all the repairs she recommended were really needed. There's a Honda dealership nearer to my home (about 5 minutes) on Route 22 in Bridgewater, but I don't mind the half hour trip to go to VIP Honda because of her.

Worst dealership ever....All these bad reviews on here are absolutely true. Place is a total scam....I went in to purchase a new Honda. Went there saw the car, test drove it and everything. Signed all the paperwork, left the down payment and was on my way. About a few weeks later I come out and my car is gone!! They repo'd the car out of no where. I called them immediately and they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about. It took me a few days to get some kind of answer and they couldn't come up with nothing but saying that the car had no insurance on it. Really? I sent them papers showing them that there was. They kept making up excuses on why they took it. Didn't even get a chance to make a payment on it. Said I wasn't getting my money back or nothing. So what they did was waited for themselves to get funded from the bank and took my car and kept my money. They scammed me out of everything....They ended up doing the same thing to a friend of mine too. Don't worry legal action is being taken and the BBB will be getting a complaint from me to. So please stay away from VIP Honda if you want to keep your money and sanity...

My husband and I both bought new Accords from this dealership in June 2012. As part of our deal our salesperson gave us each 2 coupons for a free oil change. The coupons said they were for a free 1st oil change. I asked our salesperson if we'd be able to use them for more than one oil change and he said yes, no problem. Well, my husband went for his 2nd oil change today and they would not accept the coupon. When we asked to speak to a manager they made us wait 10 minutes until someone came to speak to us. The guy basically told us our salesperson lied to us and then got mad at my husband for yelling. He couldn't understand why we were angry. Told us he couldn't comp us only a general manager could and none were there because it's the weekend. He then brought us into the office to speak to another guy who was condescending and made us feel like we did something wrong, when their sales person lied to us. We'll never go back there again.

I had a very bitter experience in recent purchase. when i was buying a used car from Dealer i do have expectation that it will come with basic needs which i realized it only when i went to buy the car like they said they have only one key. For a question on my expectation to dealer mentioned that "non certified" cars are sold as is with no extra provision. but for question of why is the price is higher than KBB value at dealer and what is the difference if it is "as is", there is no answer. When i was about to walk off from offer one of the sales person(mario labib) came to and told that he will take care of what ever is not there. Recommended that the duplicate key can be done at Home Depot at much lower price, will get it reimbursed. After i purchased the car he changed his word and recommended that i should talk to Area sales General Manager (ken messink), who doesn't even know how to talk to customer. I am not sure how they have him in Sales General Manager role who is not even good as Sales guys. I would like to avoid recommending this dealer for any prospective buyers as VIP Honda dealer team is all the worst ever i saw as Honda Dealer and wondering how they got Presidents Award when they doesn't even know how to talk to customers. I was quite unhappy with 3 Sales people i have interacted (ken messink, mina suryil & mario labib) , i recommend prospective people to be vary of VIP Honda and the sales people. I would recommend the VIP Honda team to make sure they follow the basic things1. Ethics2. Respecting the customers3. Avoiding false promises

I usually don't get enough time in my busy schedule to write good or bad for anything and this is my first time to write my experience, so that someone can think 1000 times before dealing with this VIP Honda. I was there to buy a new vehicle and after selecting model, we came to table to finalizing deal. Of course, that price is always negotiable and that's what I have asked to do. But Bobby's manager shook my hand and said, sorry I cannot sale you this car. Since, Bobby had my cell number and he learnt that I have left due to his manager's blunt response not to sell car, he called me 6 times on the same day to get me back in. At that time, I almost had deal with Open Road Honda for the same new vehicle but since Bobby was asking me to come over and assured that manager will not be handling my deal, I thought to go back to him.His promise me to get best deal was again a fake and misleading statement. Along with all other charges, which were already higher than Open Road Honda, he added $750 as a loyalty program. When I have asked for what, I got his answer that if you have purchased a vehicle in last 24 months, he can waive that otherwise you have to pay.His another manager and him were totally fooling around to us, especially asked me to come over on the very same day from Open Road. I have end up walking out of door with frustration and a lot of time wasting and a full sense of being cheated for their hidden fee of $750 loyalty program and all.Ultimately, I have purchased the same vehicle at Open Road for $1000 less and without hassle with Julia Santiago. I really felt that I owe at least a courtesy to inform people not to be cheated or wasting time with VIP Honda at North Plainfield, NJ. If you can look in to their reviews on dealerrater.com, they are worst and last in the list and that support my this review as well.I dare you go find it yourself with them and you'll join me on this board with rest of us.

After spending some time with Mario, he kindly answered my questions and was knowledgable. I decided to take some time to think about my purchase and ultimately went elsewhere for my car. The part that made this whole experience so terrible was that I was contacted that night by Mario, told on the phone that I was disrespectful, and then texted that what I did was "really messed up". I cannot believe how unprofessional that salesman was and although this dealer is close and convenient to my house, this immature behavior has turned me sour against VIP Honda forever.

Phil is your typical sleazy car salesman. These guys are unethical and will throw every sales tactic at you. Beware of Phil who wont let you speak, cuts you off when you ask questions. "Phil can you please explain and break down exactly what fees are included here?"...to which Phil will say "You're focusing on the wrong number here." No Phil, I'm focusing on EXACTLY the right number here. Please do yourself a favor and go to Paul Miller Honda instead. Those guys are so honest in comparison its crazy. Hey Phil if you're reading this, no one cares that you've "been doing this for 25 years" as you said. I saw right through you. Terrible.

They have by far the most misleading dishonest website i have ever seen.I was looking to purchase a certified used vehicle form them and found what i thought was a good deal. went through the whole processs contacting them getting credit preapproved and making an appointment to purchase the vehicle. Now this whole time they still mislead you into thinking you are getting the vehicle for the price listed on the website. I go to the dealership and see the vehicle sitting out front with a price $9000 more than the site. Now i know the price on the car is usually a bit hiogher but that was crazy. So I leave and call the woman i was dealing with and she tells me you have to look on the website under the estimated payment box that is under the giant price is a tiny disclaimer that you have to click to open. it says i can buy it for the advertised price after a $6799 down payment. What a joke!!!! It now is the most expensive vehicle list anywhere. I ask her about the deceptive practices and all she said was she was no going to argue with me. Im not looking to argue just sad they wasted my time and theirs because there was no way i was purchasing the car. If they had the cheapest price around i still would not but from them.

I went to this dealership to purchase a used vehicle. They play the game very well. I was told that I couldn't get financing for the used vehicle I wanted. They called me at work and said they could put me in a lease. Because I had no car at all I considered the lease, they called me 3x's with high monthly payments. I told them no and hung up each time. They finally came back with a payment I could afford. I had the lease for 2 yrs although the car was reliable I was very unhappy with leasing and the small vehicle. I received a letter from the salesman recently about turning in my lease early because I only had a yr left on it. I wasted my time again going in their to talk to him. He played the game very well by taking me over to the used car lot again but when we got back to his desk he tried to put me in another lease saying my payments for a used car would be too high!!!!!! I would never recommend this dealership to my worst enemy let alone my friends and family!!!!! :(

Since buying a car is such a big purchase, we visited a few dealerships for the best price and customer service. Since VIP was given awards in the past, we thought we would be treated with respect at that dealership. They were one of three dealerships that we shopped. At VIP, the price of the vehicle was the same as the other dealerships we had visited. But when it came time to work in the trade, They first offered us a price for our trade in, but then when it came to sign the papers, they offered us far less than what they had said as well as far less than any other dealership that we had visited. They were then not willing to work with us at all with the sale of the car. What I am most disappointed in, is that they had our contact information, but they made no effort to negotiate any further. So we went with another dealership and will not recommend this one to anyone!

I was impressed ONLY with their prompt response by a Internet sales person(Junia Massena) after I requested a quote through Internet. That's why I decided to go to the dealership. My worst experience so far has been, unfortunately, at the VIP Honda dealer here in North Plainfield, NJ 07060. After speaking with Janet Ghazouani - the store sales person, I knew I was in a wrong place. Maybe just like she told me"you shouldn't come to us" . I guess she was in a bad mood that morning. She was impolite from the very beginning and speaking/ acting very unprofessional. I was very uncomfortable during the entire conversation. I don't think I was treated right as a customer, or , a potential buyer. This dealership is a disgrace to the Honda name. The sales person has awful customer service skills.

The first and worst dealer I ever met.I had a chat with the guy Mathew on 19th July. I wanted to trade-in my car for $6000. I was asked to handover my car keys and sign a form to have the appraiser appraise my car. The sales person (Mathew) asked me if he take my car for $5200 whether we can have a deal. I said Ok. At this time the appraiser is done with his process and mathew came back and told that my car is worth just $4000. We spoke abt 90 mins or so and the final price quoted for my car was $4000. I thought this wont fit my budget and left that day.I had a discussion with my wife and friends about the deal and we worked out budget again, made up mind for that price he quoted and called them back on 21st july to check the availability of the same car that I opted for. it was still available they confirmed. I drove to Viphonda immediately as I booked an appointment at 6:30 PM on the same day.My entire family (my wife, 2 yr old son and my 65 yr old mom) came with me. They were very anxious to come to the dealer to buy the car. It was 1 hr 30 mins drive for me. I live far away from North plainfield. I reached there exactly by 6:25 PM. But Mathew wasnt there. i specifically wanted my appointment with Mathew as he was the one who assisted me the other day. I called Mathew's mobile around 6:35 to say i am waiting for him. he responded that he is on the way and will meet me in 2 mins. He dint turn up till 7:30 PM. Hence i opted for some one else to assist me. One more sales person came (I vaguely remember his name. Its Afzan or Azhan. i dont remember exactly) with the papers. In that he had the conversation that i had with Mathew documented. (I thought that is awesome) I inquired him whether I still have any room for negotiations. he strictly said "No". I said i am ok for the deal. He then went in, got a form Similar to what Mathew gave me. I signed it that as well. gave the car keys again. I was waiting for 30 more mins.. The guy came with Car fax report and said my car has an accident in the car fax history, so he wont take it for more that $2000.I really have no words to express how upset I am now. I reached the dealer my 6:30 and was there till 9:30 PM (My son dint had anything for the past 5 hrs. From the time I left home till 9:30 PM). When I asked this guy what was verified that day and why they dint notice this, he reluctantly said "i was not the person who met you the other day". These guys dont follow the process. If I said ok on the first day I met them, I would have had a deal and owned another car. I asked him to check with what did mathew do the other day. Why this wasnt checked. he responded "i cant check with him. he is not here now. He is not answering his call as well. You better leave. Nothing is going to happen if you sit here any more". have anybody heard these words from a salesperson that too for a mistake happened at their end? While saying so mathew appeared. I pointed to mathew and said "here he is. Atleast ask him now".I really dint want to have a deal with them after all these things except to know what has really happened? and what their real process is. I still dint get an answer for this yet.Wonderful experience !!! Hats off to VIPHonda for such a nice experience !!! Great customer service. Good process. You always get good feedback like this from customers..

On April 25, 2012 My wife and I walked into VIP Honda on Route 22 in North Plainfied, NJ looking for a new or used car. I told the salesman (Roman) my budget and was honest about not sure what I can afford. I saw a used car that I liked at first with low mileage. I asked to take it for a test drive, he says ok, comes back and tells me its sold already. Ok, I find another car that I like, take it for a test drive and like it. We go inside, I meet the manager Martin Kamanski and we speak about price. I was worried what my monthly payment would be and told him my final budget. He says I will get you at your budget (he ran my credit at this point, so he knew what my score was), then we have a deal? He then states no matter what I have to do I will get you at the price you want to be I say yes, I shake hands with him. I try calling my insurance company trying to get insurance at night, etc., they are cleaning the car. I then go to finance to sign all the paperwork. While I am in finance, the guy (John) was half helping us, and helping others at the same time. He also picks up his cellphone and speaks to his wife (yes I heard the entire conversation) and tells us, it is late so we can finish this tomorrow and just give me a deposit. I give him my credit card for deposit, and was told that I would hear from them the next day. On April 26, I never received a phone call from them and I had to call them, where they said the price was going to be higher than what we spoke about. I then called Martin and tell him how, we shook on it and had a deal, and his response was Well I shook your hand hello too. I tell him I want my deposit back immediately and I was told, he will try but he is off today. I have never been so deceived by a dealership. This dealership should be ashamed of how they conduct business.

I feel like from experience, it is hard to have a non stressful experience in a dealership, but VIP Honda proved me wrong. I couldn have asked for a smoother ride. Right off the bat my salesman proved himself to be genuine. I came in with an ad from the newspaper and after going over it with him & seeing the car, he honored the price that was advertised. He & the gentleman in the finance office helped me get approved and I walked out with a new Accord that very day. I will recommend VIP to friends and family.

I live in Boston but was in NJ visiting family for xmas when my 2011 Honda Fit got a flat tire. I called VIP Honda to make an appt to get it fixed and after telling John in the Service Dept my situation, he was able to fit me in even though they were all booked up for the day. I just wanted to say that he was the most friendliest and nicest person I've ever had to deal with in all the dealerships I've ever been to. Thank you John!

Yesterday, I leased my first car from VIP Honda, and I was pleased with them. They gave me a good deal on the car (a 2012 Pilot), and I did not have to wait around for someone to help me. (I previously walked out of a different dealership because no one was willing to help me.) David was one of the best salesmen Ie ever dealt with at a dealer he was friendly and low-pressure. When it time for me to turn the Pilot in, I know I will go back to VIP.

My mother in law's TPMS had signaled to her a leak in one of her CR-V's tire. I told her over the phone that she could take the car to any place that can fix tires. She decided to go to the local Honda dealer, VIP Honda. They found a nail in the tire and repaired it, which was fine. When I spoke with her later, she told me that it cost around $50 for the repair. That left me scratching my head a bit. I figure that repairing a tire puncture should be definitely less than $30. When I saw her later in the week, she had me look at the service invoice. It turns out that they performed an oil change on the car as well, even though she did not request or authorize it. The tire fix was around $20 and the oil change was around $30. Sure, it's only $30, but come on, she only requested the tire fix. And the extra service performed was also a waste of her time, which she values much more. She always checks with me when it comes to car related stuff, but I can't take care of every one of her service visits. Until VIP Honda can repair their service dept. reputation, I'd recommend that you take your vehicle elsewhere for service.

Visited VIP Honda looking for "Labor Day" sales for a 2011 Oddyssey Touring Elite. I knew I was in trouble when I asked if they had any 2011 left and was told that no they only had 2012's in stock. This was corrected shortly thereafter but clearly the salesman was lacking in his basic knowledge of what vehicles they had in stock. I saw an Oddyssey that was of interest but when I attempted to get an idea of what type of sales they were running for the end of the 2011 year cycle, I was told that none end of story. I proceeded to go to another Honda dealership where I purchased a 2011 Honda Oddyssey.

He explained me all pricing and on the paper info about accord.When I ask for a test drive, he said VIP Honda does not give test drive on Saturday. I bought a used Car from this Dealer. It is a Nissan Maxima. They insisted that they will be doing all the paper work and forced me to pay for it saying paper work will cost me some $400 and that they don't trust buyer will get the Transfer and Registration done in time. It's against the company policy that the buyer will do the Transfer and Registration themselves. Then they Charged me another $350 for Title and Registration and asked me to send Vehicle Inspection Report to them. I did send them the report but they said they didn't received it even after 10 days.They provided a Temp Registration which was for 20 days, which has expired. When i asked them to provide another temp Registration, they said they cannot do it.I sent them another set of documents from DMV. Now they are saying it will take them 3 weeks to get all paper work done.If i want it early i can go myself and get it done. They cannot provide another Temp Registration.If it takes such a long time for them, they should have provided a temp registration for longer validity or provide another Temp Reg.They should have informed me all formalities in the begining itself. Instead now they say, i wanted them to do the Transfer!!! Why would somebody pay extra money ($750)to take all the Headache and fall in such a mess!!!I regret doing buying car from them and would strongly recommend people not to deal.

my experience at vip honda was horrificthe saleman came out first and was friendly we showed him the add in the newspaper for 2012 civic and asked if we could get the deal at first things were going great i wAs sfisfied with the numbers and then the salesman went back to check the numbers with the manager who then came out and said that the deal was only available to previous vip honda customers we agreed and said that was fine and we will add an additional 1500 to the down payment he was still not satisfied and insisted we needed to put even more down at that point the downpayment was way to much after breaking it down and showing the tax doc fees and tags the numbers didnt add up to what he was requesting so he added 750 shipment fee which is completely absurd for a leased vehicle even after that the numbers didnt add up to how much he was requesting which made him look unprofessional and i felt like i was being robbed in broad day light so he said the reast of it was a 'tinnnyyyy interest' it was turning very ugly very fast he started to raise his voice which again i do not think is profesional it certianly made for a terrible experience because when you go for a new car it should be fun and enjoyable im the customer-the boss i should be treated with respect not be screamed at while attempting to make a big purchase its mind boggling how i was treatedthen when we got up to leave we received the most sarcastic good bye it was full of anger i will never return to vip honda even if they offer me the most amazing deal i would rather pay a little more at a different dealership but be treated like a valued customer

I went to get the quote from this delaer , they gave me more than what other dealers are offering. They told the price is not negotiable which is ridiculous compared to other dealers. They forced me to buy the car for the price they mentioned. When i said i dont want to buy the car for the pric they mentioned , they started making fun of me and sales manager tried to be abusive.I dont believe people like these still exist. If you are buying a car visit few dealers before visiting this guy.you will obviously know the difference(though i suggest not to visit this guy because you will obviously have bad experience)

I visited the dealership on Friday to find a used Pilot. I worked with Nelson who was very friendly and knowledgeable. Of all of the car salespeople that I've worked with, he's one of the top ones. He spent a lot of time with me and we worked out a good deal on a car. I left a deposit and I would return on Saturday to pick up the car.When I came back on Saturday to pick up the car, I started to sign the requisite paperwork. Part of the contract is an arbitration clause which requires me to give up my rights to pursue the dealer in court in favor of binding arbitration.At this point, if you, the reader, are not familiar with binding arbitration clauses, you might want to check google and see what they are all about and to determine if they are a good thing for you. I could not find a single reason where an arbitration clause benefits the buyer in any way.I told the dealer that I would not sign the arbitration clause.The dealer's representatives told me that the clause was mandatory. Why would this dealer be so insistent on this clause? I understand that it's a standard clause on the contract, but other dealers will still sell you a car if you don't agree to sign it.The dealer would not complete the sale unless I signed the arbitration clause. Can you consider a car dealer that is more concerned with arbitration than taking your money and moving a vehicle off of their lot?To the dealer's credit, the reps were very friendly and polite as they canceled the deal and I walked out. I guess that this means that I will not be buying ANY cars from VIP Honda. Nor, would I be referring any of my friends. Too bad... I though that everything else went reasonably well.

I have had a TERRIBLE experience with this dealership!! I purchased a brand new car that is only 3 years old. I had the same issue twice where my vehicle would not start, the first time of this complaint I was told that it was the battery even after I explained that I had some one give me a jump and my car still would not start. Sure replacing my battery may have corrected that problem for the time being, but my question is after giving it a jump start why wouldn't my car start? Also recently on one other occasion my vehicle would not start AGAIN!!(FRUSTRATING) Now AGAIN I have tried to let my car sit for several hours trying to start my car from the morning until the evening and it would not start. I have tried using jumper cables AGAIN and still it would not start. I honesty do not think it is a battery problem, if so there is some other electrical problem that is cause this car not to start which therefore is draining this battery. I only had this battery replaced ALMOST a year and a half ago I understand that batteries may not last the full term but twice with the same exact problem. The way that I was spoken to when trying to set up an appointment after explaining my problem was totally unprofessional! How dare this employee make the comment "well things happen" when I am explaining a major problem with my vehicle. That definitely was very, very, unprofessional. When showing a video of how my car would try to start a rep and a mechanic looked at the video and automatically assumed it was the battery, after having my vehicle for four days I was told the first and second day that there is nothing wrong with my car after they ran tests, I was also being called everyday until Thursday with the news of "we still did not find anything wrong your going to stay in my vehicle one more day" for someone to call me wednesday evening to say it looks like its the battery but "your going to stay in my car one more evening" "I will give you a call in the morning" which I recieved a call Thursday for them to say it looks like its going to be the battery. Now when I had the first problem with my car not starting I brought it to V.I.P Honda for service I waited no more that 2 hours and they claim it was the battery, which they replaced. When having the issue again they tell me there is no issue with the car after having my car for several days until thursday, how come the problem was not diagnose sooner than 4 days especially when saying all tests came back normal? They decided to put in a new battery and then tell me my car started with the new battery but not with the old one, with that being said I did not have the old battery replaced, due to the fact I drive my car everyday and after turning the wheel of my car to one side my car started up, hmmm sounds like to me its either the starter, alternator or some electrical switch which could possibly drain my battery. But I guess to them me being a female they figured I did not know what I was talking about when they should have dug deeper to figure out the cause of this problem.Further problems with this vehicle such as my cd player not working, when warming up my car in the rain, snow or cool weather my car makes a squeaking sound like there is a belt loose, my shifter, and my car jerks from time to time. I do understand my car will not run like a just purchased it yesterday but this is only 3 yrs later I should not have this many issues especially with a brand new vehicle. Need less to say once getting my car back the steering was tighter than normal when making a right turn it pulls to the left, or vice versa.I shopped around before making V.I.P Honda my last and final decision; I have also spent time and money traveling back and forth to this dealership to only receive TERRIBLE service. After looking at the 24 month ratings and all of the customer complaints it makes me regret ever coming to this dealership and making a large investment and then some to this particular dealer! I definitely WOULD NOT recommend this dealership to anyone!! BUYER BE WARE!!

I went to VIP honda for CRV 2011. The salesman from Egypt was knowledgable and friendly enough to attract me to talk about the price . I try to get reasonalbe price and bring other dealer quote with me. However, the manager, a white tall guy came to me and gave me nothing and the price is even higher what I thought will get lower. I couldn't feel any sincerity from them at all based on this unreasonable price. So I left the dealer with no doubts. They even try laugh at me to say " enjoy your shopping ". I was impressed with the salesman with very detailed introduction about the car, but feel story about that stupid sales manager. No room for negotiating and keep saying they have better service on their car.( God knows it, look that manager's arragant attitude. God knows what kind of service they gonna provide ) Definitely I won't go again with this dealership. Feel insulted after negotiating the price.

If he keeps sending out these high price, and doesn't give any rooms for negotiating, I am pretty sure that he would lose most of his potential business to other dealer and competitors. Again, if you really like Honda, make sure you go to the other dealers for reasonalbe prices. If you are still comparing Toyota and Hyundai with Honda, please don't go to that dealer. Otherwise, you would feel disppointed by Honda.

My husband and I were looking to replace an old minivan and considered 3 different makes and models with one being the Honda. We were looking to buy a 2010 or 2011 depending on the price. We went in on a Saturday evening which was a little crazy on our part because it was so busy. We were greeted pretty quickly after walking into the showroom. The salesperson was knowledgeable about the vehicles and seemed genuinely interested in earning our business rather than just having it.In the end we got a fair price based upon what I found on the internet. There was some additional salesmanship in terms of add-ons and pricing, but not more than expected and not pushy in any way - it was always respectfully done. We got the vehicle we wanted. We got treated well going throughout the whole process. Bottom line is that we felt at comfortable and not pressured into anything especially with the vehicle and deal that we got. We would highly recommend VIP Honda!

Excellent experience. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. They were very upfront about everything and very hospitable. Every person I interacted with at VIP Honda was very pleasant, from the internet salesperson, to the financial manager, and Jesse Mario was a great sales representative. Again it was a very pleasant and wonderful experience, definitely worth the trip even if you dont live near the North Plainfield area.

I met a really stupid sales, who was rude and stubborn on his price. When I asked him to calculate a OTD price based on his selling price, he said he can not before I make a dicision, and told me the his price is not negotiable. When I began to leave, he stopped me and asked me to wait for his manager. When the farmer manager came, his answer was still un-negotiable. Bullshit, it was really to waste my time. Finally, when I left, the stupid sales yelled "the bottle water is free for you". I really wanted to smash the water to his face. It is not difficult to imagine this stupid dealer's rating is so low.

1st time car buyer. I was impressed ONLY with their hospitality (Stewart-internet manager and Mario-salesperson). After speaking with the financial manager, i thought he gave me a great deal with the APR of 9.85% and a $1500 reduce sale price considering I'm going thru a divorce. Knowing that my credit would be affected, he presented that APR of 9.85% was best that the Amer Honda Financial bank could offer. If I come back, he would try to lower the rate since he knew someone woking at the bank. Well. next day I went to Autosport Honda in Bridgewater, salesperson, offered me a better reduced price and an APR of 0.9% with the same AMer Honda Financial Bank!!! I'm directly aiming at the financial manager in the VIP Honda in Plainfield.. He is very DISHONEST AND A LIAR.I truly believed him when he said that he would help me. He's main goal was to generate more $$ for himself. Beware. It's funny that I can't recall that financial manager's name... John???

Best dealership to buy from. Everyone was helpful and listened to whatever I had to say. They were patient while I decided and took me to see 3-4 different vehicles. I sat down to negotiate the price, it was lunch time and they even ordered me food. Excellent experience and will definitely come back. Also, the dealership is very clean and has a nice ambient.

Have a new Oddesey with 6000 miles on it and the swtich to open and close the middle doors broke. We were told it was because "Air Freshner" was sprayed in there so it was not covered under warrenty. Lamest excuse I ever heard for not fixing a new car. Just be careful to use tiny touches when operating that switch. WE DID NOT HAVE THE PART REPLACED FOR $180.00. Gee, maybe it was weak when installed and after a few hits it just pushed in. Done, Done Done with Honda VIP, I will tell everyone about this poor excuse for a dealership and after I contact their head office will decide if I am done with Honda.

Note to VIP Honda: When you are selling a "brand new car" it is a good idea to take five minutes to get it cleaned up-- at least minimally-- before showing it to a customer for test drive. A new car covered in paint splatters, bird droppings, scratches (that you claim will come off), and with branches and debris stuck in front window-- well, you decide what it projects. You should have the inside cleaned too-- not smears and smudges on seats and inside doors. This was the first problem. Second problem has to do with negotiation. This is a normal part of the process. When it was requested that the prices of three other dealers be matched, Stewart's response was "The answer is no." Why no? Because he claims that the other dealers only add on scam prices. Okay. "We're giving the car away"-- yes, that line was used. The thing is-- their internet price was much higher than most other dealers. So, with a firm "the answer is no" from this "manager," we got up, drove to the next dealer, and bought the car from someone with a better business brain and was willing to work with us. Doesn't take much, VIP. And why do you call yourselves VIP when you're showing brand new cars that look like they've been trashed?

I gave him the (im just looking) to see if his attitude changed because i wasn't set on buying a car today but i was surprised when he still helped me and treated me with respect. he did the walk around of 5 different vehicles(still knowing that i wasnt going to buy today and just looking) before we finally came across the one that caught my eye the Honda Pilot. i wasn't too sure if i wanted to lease or buy. So i asked kindly if he could get the bottom line numbers on both. he sat me down offered me something to drink and eat and made me feel very comfortable. when he came back wit the prices i was very happy with him and the management(ive shopped around for 2 weeks going dealer to dealer). i will defenitly go back and buy another car from him just because he made me feel (at home). he didn't push me once at all (unlike the other dealerships i visited in the past) My wife will be needing a car soon and i know exactly where ill be going and asking for my salesman. after i bought my car he made several follow up calls to make sure i was happy as could be and even gave me his own personal cellphone number in case if i had ANY questions what so ever to call him so he could help me right away. i recommend VIP HONDA to anyone! will look forward to doing business with them again!

Went to dealership on 2 different occasions. The first time the greeting salesman was rude and did not want to give me the time of day. I guess he thought I was not going to buy anything that day. He was right, I was just looking at the models I had researched. The second time I spent 20 minutes looking at a specific show room model and not once did any of the 3 sales agents offer to help me. Their loss, I was going to purchase that afternoon.

I had two reasonable buying experiences (new civics) with this dealer over the past 6 years so when I wanted to buy a new top of the line Pilot I went back. The salesperson we had spoken to over the phone was "in a meeting" so we worked with someone else. For some reason he kept trying to talk us out of the top Pilot and into a base model (maybe they had more in stock?) after repeating for the 5th time that we absolutely wanted the model with nav, dvd etc, he told us the price would be high - maybe over $500 a month for a lease. Since that was considerably less than we were currently paying for a Q56 we said, OK, let's run the numbers. We then took a base model out for a test drive (asked but not get an answer as to why we couldn't drive one with the features we wanted).We were very clear that we had a month left on our current lease and so didn't want the vehicle until late Jan or early Feb (it was late Dec) - the salesman pressured us to buy now (only to be expected)- asking us if he could do something about our last payment would we buy this month. We said yes, but we did not want the last payment rolled into the new lease - that made no sense, why would we do that and have to pay tax etc on it. He said he understood. Then he spent some time looking up inventory and outlining our choices, colors, features etc. We chose 3 different ones as acceptable(and again had to rule out all of the ones without the features we wanted). He left to go talk to his manager and get us actual numbers. He came back 15 minutes later with his manager. That's when the real problem started. The manager brought back only one option, not numbers for the 3 vehicles we had selected. He told us that the car we wanted was "rare as hen's teeth" and pretty much impossible to get, although the saleman had found 3 that met our criteria. The cost was $400 HIGHER than the $500ish the salesman had stated. OVER $900 a month for a pilot. And he had added (rolled) our last payment on our current car into the lease, exactly what we had told him not to do. My husband and I literally laughed and stood up to go. The manager then tried to stop us by asking "what were you looking for" - in unison we said "not that" and left. Honestly, for that price we can get another Q56. So, all in all we were very frustrated. The dealer did not listen to us from beginning to end and I believe gave us a ridiculous price because he knew what we were currently paying. They stink and I will never go there again.

I go in there and they were in such a hurry to make a deal that they barely listened to me. I was leaning between the Civic and the Insight and they immediately pushed me to the Civic without even going over anything on the Insight. Lucky for them, I preferred the Civic from my prior research and decided to just roll with it.So I'm the easiest customer ever. I tell them to put the lease numbers together, they do, I say let's do it. Drive out with a brand new Civic EX that is really a great car.One week later I get a call from them saying I have to come in and do the paperwork. Seems they gave me the Super-Preferred deal when my credit rating was just a bit lower than the cut-off for Super-Preferred. Honda Leasing turned me down for Super-Preferred and now I had to put an extra $900 down on the lease.I eventually beat them down to $450 down and 2 free oil changes but I didn't want to even do that. They had shipped my trade-in to a wholesaler and it would have been a bigger pain to undo the deal (and try to re-finance my trade-in).Thus, I have taken to every dealer rating site I can find to voice my displeasure. I heard these guys were shady but I figured I wanted a straight-up deal and they couldn't screw that up. Do yourself a favor and take your business to another Honda Dealer- it will be worth it.

I have gone to buy a Honda civic for my friend. We got a very bad experience with the sales person (they said he is the manager). We were waiting for long time as all the sales person were busy. The guy who I mentioned came to us gave a quote and ask some other person to deal with us. Though the price worked out for us, we planned to buy next day as it was very late on that day. The person who gave quote didn't know what is going on. It looked like he had some perception about us, he called us to stay back and he did something funny thing (providing map to charity service) to insult us. I felt so bad about this dealer.

The worst dealer I have ever done business with. They are dishonest, unresponsive, and treat you like s%#it. They dont return phone calls and have more excuses for everything than you can imagine. After dealing with them I felt like I needed to take a shower. They should not be in business and if I do not get any resolution I will file a formal complaint with the BBB and the NJ Attorney General.

BAIT and SWITCH SALES TEAM ... INSULTING FINANCER ... don't buy here ...Debating between ACCORD and CAMRY ... got the best price from VIP Honda for the Accord and my wife wanted a "Honda this time" ... so decided to shop there. The sales guy included the price quoted on the contract and showed me a charge of additional $100 for wheel locks. I was obviously not happy with it and expressed it. $100 is not a big amount but then the quote was not the lowest anymore and the price was not what I was promised. The sales guy asked me to sign the contract and then talk to the finance guy and tell him that I would not make the deal if he did not remove the charge and them that charge would be removed. I did exactly as I was told but the finance guy did not budge and said that I had already signed the contract and insulted me saying that I was cheap to be thinking about the $100 when buying a $20000 car ... I walked out of his office at that very moment ... i walked out of the deal ... and then went on to the buy a Toyota Camry at another dealer I worked in the past with who is polite and courteous and keep their word ... So VIP HONDA management listen ... you lost a deal for a cheap $100 gimmick ...HONDA are you listening??? ... you lost another sale to Toyota, wondering why Toyota sells more car than HONDA; I got a TOYOTA CAMRY instead of a HONDA ACCORD just because of this dealer and its staff ... you are also losing your business ...

This is a very fine Honda Dealership. VIP Honda on Route 22 is one of the newer Honda dealerships with the light facade with blue Honda sign. They have a lot of cars out front, and just about every model in the showroom. The receptionist and sales person I worked with were very helpful and attentive. It did not take long for him to find a car for me, and have it brought round the front for a test drive. The car was clean (no plastic around the floor and handles - it had been properly cleaned). Once back at the showroom there was no playing games over price. They gave me a good price from the beginning, and all in all we wrapped everything up quickly. This is a very straight forward, easy-going dealership.

Really is hrd to see how VIP Honda can improve. They really were helpful and low-pressure. I purchased the car about six months ago, and both the original sales experience and subsequent visit to the service department have been most pleasant. Complete and utter disappointment! This was the absolute worse car buying experience I have ever had! I've never been so pissed off about purchasing a car and I have owned 4 of them...recently bought a 5th one last week from Paul Miller Honda which instilled my faith in honesty and integrity of "SOME" but few car dealers.VIP Honda sold me a used (Honda-certified, Pre-owned) Nissan Altima with an extended warranty. After 1 week of having the vehicle (bought it in Spring), all hell breaks loose. The service engine light comes on, the window gets stuck, the brakes began to squeal..etc. Take it back to the dealer, they keep the car for about 2 weeks..and the light was supposedly blames on a "fuse", the window was repaired. Come the fall season and I discover that my heat doesnt work! Fed up, I take it to a Nissan dealer..called VIP and I asked about my warranty package, because I never received information on it..they gave me the telephone number! What do you know? The warranty company never had my car or name in their system!! So conveniently, now the car's mileage does not allow for a new warranty. This place needs to be shut down!!

10 out of 10! Doing business with this dealership is a pleasure. An experienced management team that are new to the store have obviously taken over well. I was made to feel important - thankfully there is a car dealership that values their customers. It is because of this that I will personally recommend VIP Honda to my friends and family. Specifically, I felt that I was treated with respect, that I was not rushed into making a decision, and that they listened when I explained exactly what I was looking for: a good value Honda Pilot or CRV, Honda Certified, clean Carfax, and AWD/4WD. I shopped for a S2000 via the internet and, although they are about 75 miles away from me they were the most thorough in helping make a buying decision. The Internet is usually full of price scams that are not honored when you come in, but VIP played by the rules. I dealt with Paul over the Internet and Adam dealt with my in store dealings, I think he was the manager as he handled all decisions. It took all of 45 minutes to own a $30K car. Awesome experience.

This was the second Honda dealership that I have dealt with, and in fact was recommeded by a friend who had bought her new Accord there not too long ago. I'm not sure where the name VIP comes from, because there's nothing spectacular about the place, but important for me was that the service appointment was easy, quick, and they were very friendly, helpful, and honest. It's convenient to my job, so I will definitely come here again. I was early for the appointment, and they took my car right in and even though it was only scheduled maintenance, they were very quick and provided me with a checklist of everything that was looked at. The one point I guess I can't compare is the price, as I am sure all Honda dealerships will be very close if not the same. The price was reasonable, but the main reason I recommed this dealership is the overall customer service.

Bought a new Honda Accord around 1 year ago. I think the car was in a wreck or something because it has given me nothing but trouble. Wobbling, brakes grinding, etc. I take it in and they say nothing is wrong. They have replaced the rotars a few months ago and I am taking it in again. If anyone knows what I should do let me know. The service people make you feel like an idiot and will lie straight to your face. "well, Honda brakes just grind - what do you expect."

They called me after I sent an inquiry online, and was friendly at first. I had received quotes from 2 places earlier which I told her over the phone, and she just laughed at me like I was being ridiculous. She asked if I had it in writing, and I told her yes. Her attitude changed at this point to rude and condescending, and told me there was no way she can touch that price. She also didn't know the right price of the cars, and had no idea what destination charge was, which is probably why she thought my numbers were ridiculously low. It wasn't even that great of a quote, I received a lower one later in the afternoon. I still haven't bought the car yet, but obviously I won't be getting it from VIP Honda.

These guys are a bunch of liars. All they want to do is sell you a car but when it comes to customer service and follow-through, they are the WORST. We were in the process of moving to a different state, and while they ASSURED us they would be able to register our car in our new state, a week later when we hadn't received our new plates and we called they told us that we actually couldn't register in the new state but had to register in the old state. Well, it's now over 3 weeks later, we still have no plates, and the temporary registration has expired. We were supposed to hear from them today regarding the new plates, but still the car sits in the garage unusable. They don't return phone calls, they make promises they can't keep. Don't go here. Run far away.

Hi! We have bought Honda Accord 2007 EX-L brand new. When we looked at car there were couple of Scratches on the body. Sales person told us that we will fix all scratches and defect the car has. He gave us in writing. When we went to pick up the car. I called him and ask "did you fix everything". He said yes. We traveled Boston - New Jersey to pick our car. When we looked at our car. There were nothing done on this car. Car was as it is.This is waste of our time. finally, we didn't picked up car at that time. we told them to fix it which they were agree on fixing. But I paid my first installment and I still don't have my car with me. This is awful service I have ever got. Please don't go to this dealer ever. Also, Business manager (Juan A. Saldivar). He also does not have any communication skill as well. He sent us a papers to sign by mail and never called us that you have sign this papers and mail to me. so I was waiting waiting. Finally, I call him. At that time, he told me that you have to sign this papers and mail to me.So, Please don't ever buy or get any service from this dealer. Awful service.Thanks,

The dealer did not have the color I wanted, so they checked their system and promised me a delivery on Saturday. They kept their promise and provided me the VIN much before the delivery so that I can sort the auto insurance.My experience with VIPHonda has been very good and I would recommend the dealer to anyone planning to buy a Honda.

We bought a 2005 Honda Odyssey recently. Overall, it was a good experience with a couple of bumps in the road but nothing major. As far as pricing goes, Gary and Phil worked with us. You never know if you are getting the "best" deal but we checked out enough places to indicate that we good a fair or even "good" deal. That's why I gave them a 3 on price. I just don't know if I got a good price or not when its all said and done. For example, if the car implodes today then I guess it won't be that good of a deal :). But we are not expecting that. We thought Gary was pretty straight up. We told him where we were with money and he worked with us to make the sale. He did his job - we stretched a just a little bit (couple of hundred bucks) and he came off his price by enough to entice us to buy on a day where I would have been just as happy not to buy. He stayed focused on us while we were there. He showed us the numbers on paper without any voodoo or trickle-down economics. He didn't do a big "let me check with the manager" song and dance number (we HATE that). He did check with the manager (Phil), but it didn't have that Wizard of Oz, man behind the curtain, I'm powerless to help you, feel. In fact, we met the manager ourselves. There were just a couple of bumps in the road, as I mentioned, which were these:They had us wait to take the car home the same day with the idea being that they would clean it. It took forever and although the carpets were clean, the seats and the panels were not cleaned well at all. We'd have been less aggreived by this if we did not wait for the cleaning. But this story has happy ending...Second, the Maintenance Service light was on and we asked if the oil had been changed. They initially said it had been but the reset button was not activated. Then we brought it to a mechanic and although he could not tell if the oil had been changed or not he recommened it be changed. He recommened three other services as well (air filter, tranny fluid change, tire rotation). Small matters, to be sure. This too ends well...Anyway, we called up and spoke to a manager, Karl, I think (Gary was out that day) and the manager there said it wasn't a problem to take care of all of it but we'd need to talk to Gary. He said that if the oil had been changed they'd show us teh service record or they'd just change it. We spoke to Gary the next day and Karl had already talked it over with him so we did not have to do the whole thing over again. So we brought the car down, they did ALL the work and re-cleaned it and we're all set. No fussing and no hemming and hawing - except that the Service guy was a bit of a curmudgeon. But he was the only one who was unpleasant so I can't knock the whole lot of them. Look, they sell cars. I'm not going to write to the Pope to ask that Gary and Phil become the patron saints of used car salesmen but they seemed like decent guys, they didn't horse around or play hide the ball, or put on a big production to make the sale, and we're satisfied with a car buying experience for the first time. Even though its a bit of a hike for us, barring something bizarre happening in the future, we'd buy from them again.

I was in the market for a Honda Fit Sport. The night before I searched inventory and they had what I wanted, even talked to internet mgr. Set up an appointment early next morning, told me that vehicle wasn't available. When I pursued it, they came back and said it was. Haggled a little w/ price and trade, but price was acceptable. Had to wait awhile for delivery of vehicle, when I was handed the key, I asked where is the second one, Rep said only comes with one. I got it in writing they owe me a second key as the vehicle comes, per manual. Must be a new Dealer trick to get you to buy a new key. I heard this happened to others also. This key can run over $100.
