Let's put it this way. If I found the Volvo I was looking for at this location, I'd drive all the way to Hampton and work with a salesperson on that side of the water just to get the car I want. When I finally find the C70 I'm looking for, I def hope I won't have to go to drive 35 min away vs 10 due to horrible service. UPDATE:2+ yrs later and the VB location is still horrible. I found a Volvo at the Hampton location. Service and sales have always been better and now that I'm here in VB for Service, it's still horrible.

We recently bought a Volvo XC 90 from Jesse Garner@ Wynne Virginia Beach. Jesse took care of us from start to finish. Very easy pleasurable experience!!! The staff was respectful and courteous. I brought my vehicle in for an oil change and tire rotation, it took FIVE hours. I understand being busy however, if I scheduled an appointment and told them why I am bringing it in for service, it stands to reason they would provide quick and through service. It was not quick or through, when I picked up my vehicle and proceeded to drive away the TPMS light came on indicating low tire pressure. When I called to see if I could bring it back to have them look at it, they were closed. I called the manager and left a message, we shall see if he gets back to me in a reasonable amount of time.

I can’t say enough good things about the process of buying my XC90 here. Raul was very professional and easy to work with, and at no point did I feel like I was in a stressful “car buying experience”. They gave me options along the way, and I picked up the car the next day so I didn’t have to sit around for hours. The paperwork took all of maybe 20 minutes max, and I was on my way. Easy Breezy.

I recently purchased my first Volvo at Freedom in Virginia Beach and couldn't have had a better experience. From the first time my family and I walked in until I purchased my new XC60 RD over a month later, I continue to be amazed at the level of service and commitment shown. Connie was incredibly patient with me as I couldn't make up my mind between two vehicles and never once became overly persistent or pushy in any way. O.E. was very friendly from the very first visit, and Paul made the transaction run as smooth as I've every experienced. The service and parts guys have been great as well and have helped me find all the great accessories I was looking for. I'm really happy I made the decision to buy a Volvo after cross shopping BMW, MB, Jeep, etc. and honestly can say that the Freedom experience was also a big part of that decision!

I recently purchase a pre-owned vehicle from Freedom Volvo and had it shipped to Wisconsin. The staff was very professional and made the process quite easy. When the car arrived the features were not everything I had expected due to some miscommunication. A sign of a good business is how do they react in this sort of situation. The staff was forthright and responsive. The situation was resolved in a manner that I believe was fair to both parties. I give Freedom Volvo high marks for integrity and responsiveness.

Freedom Volvo, by far, exceeds the other four Volvo dealers I worked with, which were all good too. First and most important, the coffee is always hot and fresh. I purchased my C30 in Seattle and relocated to Newport News for the Army. The service department is attentive and customer focused. I am able to reach an advisor quickly or get a return call promptly. I had routine service, warranty work on speakers, and a full detail done. I was never left in the dark about the service process or how long it would take. While waiting, it was nice hearing progress updates. All the work on my C30 was done to standard and my happiness. I appreciate the washes after service. I was very impressed with the full car detail. The price was lower than I anticipated and the shine was more than I expected. I highly recommend Freedom Volvo for their service. When I grow up, I'll buy a larger Volvo from Freedom.

Tim Robinson is by far a man (salesman) of integrity and respect. He gave me the time to look around, ask questions, interrogate him about his knowledge of the vehicles and to just let be me (which) is most important. Mr. Robinson understood what I wanted and catered to my needs for a vehicle. He gained my trust and confidence in that he knew what he was talking about and sold me with the fact that purchasing a 100,000 mile Volvo would not have me looking for another vehicle in a matter of a few months. The closing process was very painless. I was very pleased with the service and that everyone was very pleasant from reception to the close of the deal. Hats Off to FREEDOM! Joe in the service department was GREAT! I have a 1995 Volvo 960 which was in for quite a bit of work. A few days later an unrelated issue popped up causing me to have the car towed to the dealership. I am getting married in a week and desperately needed a car to run errands this weekend. Joe quickly had the car assessed, informed me of the problem, put me in a loaner for the weekend and sent me on my way. I truly appreciate his quick response and understanding my urgent need for a car! Thanks Joe! I have been a customer for 18 years and will be one for many more years to come.

I gave the team at Freedom Volvo 5's across the board because they deserve it. I knew the car was a great deal, and Tim took great care of us through the purchasing process. He was very knowledgeable about the features of the vehicle, the vehicle's history (because it was pre-owned), and even did a warranty background check which found not only a manufacturer's warranty but a service warranty as well. He even met me at my office one day to help install XM radio. The customer service here exceeded expectations. The vehicle my husband and I purchase was manual (and I haven't driven one in a few years) and Tim was so patient and helpful in re-teaching me. He made sure I was completely comfortable driving it first in the parking lot and then around town on our test drive. I couldn't have hoped for a better experience in purchasing my first car! We highly recommend Tim and Freedom Volvo to anyone, even if you're not looking to buy a Volvo.

I have worked with this dealership for over one year to find the right deal for me. I didn't mind waiting because I knew during this time, this team was proactively involved in searching for the right vehicle based on my specifications, within the specfified price point and in August,2012, Connie Watkins and Paul Troche found the right deal! This is a highly professional staff with exemplary customer service. Paul Troche also brought to my attention a couple of not so obvious defects which had he not pointed them out, would surely have been overlooked by me. True to his words, Paul Troche ensured that these defects were promptly corrected.Overall, I am very satisfied with the Freedom Volvo staff. I can be a very "challenging " consumer and because of Connie Watkin's professionalism, we were able to close the deal. We purchased a Volvo in 2009 from Freedom Volvo. Initially, the experience was wonderful. We were able to find a car we liked and the staff was friendly and helpful. Over the years since we have been faithful customers, returning for routine maintenance as well as any additional work that may be needed. Until recently we've had no complaints. After all most everyone knows that having your car serviced at a dealership is more costly but the expectation is that your car will get the attention and professional service it needs.During the summer of 2012 we brought our car in for routine maintenance and were surprised when our bill was $700+. We were not informed the cost would be that high and when we left we noticed that the services indicated on the receipt was not entirely provided. We returned and had the part replaced, as it should have been initially and over the months we realized one of the other issues we were having was never fully resolved. The topper came when six months later new brakes and suspension to one side of the vehicle would be needed. Since this car is used mainly for local travel and has relatively low miles an additional $900 expense in such a short period of time came as a surprise. Why wasn't this mentioned during the routine service, we called and asked. Sadly, Freedom Volvo took a defensive position and we were unable to find any middle ground.We have given Freedom Volvo our loyal patronage and a lot of money. We are now taking our business and recommendation elsewhere.

It took a whole year for me to finally make up my mind to trade my reliable 12 year old S-40 for a nearly new and high end S-60. I had been to every dealer on the Blvd and the draw to Freedom Volvo was to the dealership and not so much the product. I found several good products in my search with better prices, but the product specialist Dale Mang, service, attitude and total package was what sold me on making the purchase. Right now, the car and I are trying to get adjusted to each other, but I am pleased with the overall product. Despite the fact that I could not find the color I wanted, I can learn to live with this car. The performance is peppy, and nimble and this interior is so much better than the older model. Volvo selected a better class of material in the manufacture of this car, and hopefully it wont be necessary to keep repairing that drivers door, that infamous cup holder and of course those pesky head light bulbs.

We purchased a VOLVO S-40 recently and have been very satisfied with this purchase. We traded this vehicle in last week on another used VOLVO. Unfortunately, we are experiencing some difficulty in having some reparations done on our VOLVO 2007 XC 70. It was our understanding that the vehicle we purchased was fully in operation at the date of our purchase. I would like to resolve our issues soon. I purchased a 2011 c70. I arrived at the dealership at 2:00 and within 30 minutes had taken a test drive and negotiated a fair price. I returned at 5:30 to pick up the car that had been detailed, fueled and ready to go. Dale provided a thorough overview of the car and really made me and my family at ease with the process. Definitely my favorite car buying experience! PS the paperwork side of the deal was handled by Chris with the same efficiency and friendliness. Two great guys!

Tim was helpful and responsive in coordinating a deal eventhough it was a side ways purchase through another dealer in MA. We had the car shipped in to Freedom and they handled the sale. The team at Freedom were very helpful eventhough I couldn't find a car in their inventory. I found one on line another Volvo dealer that was perfect and the price was right which isn't easy when you want almost new without the new car price. No high pressure closing and the their finance rates beat the best we could find. Overall highly recommend Freedom Volvo.

I am a Canadian citizen and my family and I were vacationing in Virginia Beach during the first two weeks of August. I drive a 2000 Volvo S80 which had gone through a complete inspection before our departure from Montreal. However, during the second week of our vacations, the check engine light came on much to our concern.We brought the car to Freedom Volvo and placed it in the good hands of Mr. Kevin Brink, Service Advisor. He was very professional and quick to get a technician (Bruce) to look at what might be the trouble, fitting us in what was already a fully booked day at Freedom. A faulty sensor was quickly identified as the source of the problem. Mr. Brink proposed that we make an appointment for a replacement the next day. However, since we had to leave for Montreal, we couldnt go along. Kevin assured us that we could drive back safely without any risk or worry and recommended that we pay a visit to our local Volvo dealer upon arrival. Much to our pleasure and surprise, the service was free of charge. We wanted to let the people from Freedom Volvo know how greatly appreciative we were and how courteous and professional the whole Volvo staff was, especially Kevin and Bruce. I brought my car in for a state inspection first thing in the morning. Kevin took care of the necessary paperwork quickly. I needed a ride to work which is a short distance from the dealership and it was provided as a courtesy. It also turned out I needed help to get back to the dealership to pick up my car, which Kevin also arranged. The car had been washed and looked great. Very happy with this visit and therefore high marks were earned. Volvo staff is always very courteous and helpful.

Kevin Brink as absolutely the BEST! Kevin was very professional and very pleasant to work with. I had my 1992 Volvo brought in and he gave EXCELLENT customer service. I was very stressed about my car when I brought it to Freedom...Kevin was quick about getting my car anaylsis and even quick and easy resolution in a very short time. The service here is excellent. I purchased my car on a holiday, but they were willing to stay after hours to help me get everything in order. All I had to do was come pick it up the next morning. The sales associates are friendly and give you plenty of space so that you won't feel like they are trying to push you into buying. Plus the used cars here are high quality and well serviced. I love the 2007 S40 I bought there! I highly recommend Freedom Volvo for anyone looking for Volvo. It was the easiest car buying experience I've been through.

From the moment I first visited, through the sales process, and now several years of routine service, Freedom Volvo has been great! The people are friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. I have used Phillips and now Freedom Volvo for service on a 2004 S60 2.5T and 2006 XC90 2.5T for years. We decided to get a 2013 XC90 3.2R to get a third row of seats for the larger family. I submitted an inquiry on line and was contacted within 24 hours by Dale Mang. He was informative and immediately available to meet with us to discuss the new purchase. Since the 2013 was not even released to US dealerships yet, he did a great job of being proactive to find us the vehicle we wanted without compromise. Dale was great upon vehicle delivery and demonstrated the new features on the 2013 XC90. Dale is down to Earth and doesn't play reindeer games with selling cars. His prompt feedback and genuine demeanor throughout the process were above reproach. Having purchased our two prior Volvos through military sales, I was wary of going through the physical dealer sales department, but we came away very well satisfied with the experience. I would highly recommend Dale Mang if you are in the market for a new or used Volvo.

He's professionalism, knowledge of Volvo cars, mechanics and design features of this particular vehicle was impressive. It had been seven years since I had purchased a vehicle and this was a major decision for me to make. He made this process so easy to go through. His kind nature and willingness to get me through this process was beyond what I would have ever expected from a salesman; especially at a dealership! He wasn't only interested in the sale, but interested in my personal wants, needs and satisfaction on what it was I was truly looking for. He was willing to work with me and patient down every road I took him down. That's a way to run a business! Though a vehicle at the low end of the price spectrum, we received service as though we were buying a $50K top of the line vehicle. At all times we felt information was openly shared and the final price was extremely fair of the car's quality. Great experience all around.

Quality of work in service leaves lot to be desired. They didn't check the air pressure in spare on my new S80. Today, I have to take to service station and get air to bring it up to the recommended pressure. It was a pleasure workinging with Paul T., Chris and Dale. I am so happy with my new car. Mike help us make our decision by letting us drive a 2008 Volvo S80 over the weekend. We liked certain aspect of the car (the color, overall condition of the vehicle). We felt the ride wasn't that good, so we returned the vehicle on Monday as agreed. Mike then let us drive a 2009 Volvo S80, a white car. Neither my wife or I wanted a white car, but we did drive the car Tuesday and Wednesday. We enjoyed the ride and the accessories of this car, so we decided to buy this car. This is the first used car we have every brought for ourselves. And I must say that this car feels like a new vehicle.The entire sales team and the finance/business managers were friendly and accomodating I will recommend Freedom Volvo in the future.
