Everything went according to how the service department said it would. From drop off to loaner car pickup and actually finished half day before estimated. Warranty was honored... just wished service department would let a person know warranty details without having to ask. I felt a little in the dark on whether this service would be covered until I pressed the issue.

I've had a tranny leak that keeps popping up. First was told it was puking out the tube which is impossible in a 6.7 diesel since the tube is over the manifold so it would drip onto the manifold, not the pan. Second time they replaced the pan and gasket saying it was warped. Leaked immediately after. This time they replaced the input shaft seal. We'll see if that was it. The service is good, investigation not so much.

All good except I wish they'd taken a moment to look at the rearview mirror, which fell off. They said it would require another appointment or take it to the glass company that replaced my windshield. The glass man fixed it within a minute; mirror had been put into bracket wrong.

After major work, including an oil change, I came down to pick up the vehicle. Truck would not start and a tech came out to troubleshoot. No luck and I had to call my son to have him come back and pick me up. Next day, the truck was ready. Was told it was a rookie mistake. No oil was put in the oil filter so oil pressure was low and would not allow fuel to flow. Somewhat of an inconvenience with my busy schedule.

I did not have an appointment but I was leaving town on a 300 mile round trip to the Portland area. We were experiencing temperatures in the 80's and 90's. The blower motor for my A/C was broken. Gordy and his crew made room for me in the schedule first thing in the morning. The part was in stock and the repairs were completed by 10AM. I was on my way in comfort. Arrived to have my new plates put on and had A GREAT kid named Conner put them on. I asked him if he knew how to use a feature of the car I was having a problem understanding how to make it work. He knewhow and showed me I was just trying to use the arrows on the wrong side of the steering wheel. Great kid! I also mentioned I had been reading the manual and was missing the gas adapter for a gas can. He took my name and phone # and said he would find me one, which he did.

The service received was excellent and the staff was both friendly and helpful. We had the clutch replaced in our 2008 Mustang. The car has less than 30K . I would have like to have seen the old parts because it felt to me that the pressure plate diaphragm failed which I think should have been a warranty thing. The invoice also did not reflect a charge for resurfacing the fly wheel which should have been done. I do think the work performed was done expertly and correctly. This car has never seen another service facility in the eight years we have owned it. And we will continue to bring it to where we bought it. Thank you. John

My 2 week shopping experience to sell or trade a Crew Cab pickup for a smaller car ended with Scarf Ford. Cole LaBar did an excellent job in providing information and details for several options to accomplish my plan. He was polite, professional, prepared, and added no pressure to close a deal that I was not completely satisfied with. After driving and considering several models, I chose to trade in my pickup, and purchase a 2013 Fiesta SE. I have owned 7 Fords to date, and this sale was the best sales experience I've had. Ford makes a great car, and Scarf has a great staff to sell and service them. How satisfying to find a car dealer who "gets it right"!

The only glitch I had was on this particular day. I had called a few months ago to see how much it would cost for the 30k check up. At that time I was quoted 388.00 - which is why I put off the service. If I had known that it was a regular "The Works" I would've brought it in much sooner. I took my '01 F350 in for a number of issues (front auto-locking hubs not auto-locking, rear limited-slip differential not locking up, coolant leak, etc..). The service department did a thorough diagnosis and presented me with all the options and ramifications of the issues. I came in because of a transmission problem. I was told the repair would not be likely because parts may not be available. Probable cost for new transmission would exceed 4K. Repair is taking place elsewhere at a much reduced costs, no problem with availability of parts.

I recently called Scarff Ford Auburn and asked sales person Brenno for a price on a particularly equipped 2014 Ford Fiesta. I informed Brenno of my intent to place an order for this vehicle and to pay in full by check. He assured me this would not be a problem. A few days later I called Brenno to confirm our arrangement and set a time to meet and place the order. The call went to voicemail and was returned shortly thereafter (more on this later). In the mean time, I called the sales dept. to confirm our payment method. Another sales representative confirmed there would be no problems and handed the phone to Brenno who also confirmed our payment method as well as the price we previously discussed. My spouse and I presented to Brenno at our agreed time, check in hand, expecting to place an order from Ford as agreed. I wasn't surprised when Brenno suggested a locally available and similarly equipped vehicle instead, but we weren't interested in that vehicle. We came to order a predetermined vehicle at a pre-negotiated price, and we were happy with our decision. This is when Brenno decided the price we agreed on was too low and we would need to pay an additional $500. My spouse and I thanked him for his time and set about returning home, being met at our car by a pursuing Brenno who apparently had a very rapid conversation with his sales manager. Promising to honor the pre-negotiated and twice (now three times) agreed upon price, Brenno was successful in coaxing us back inside. We were then presented with what appeared to be an order slip with our price, tax, title and license, and their $150 "doc fee". Great, we wrote the check, shook hands, and set out for some lunch. Before finishing our fish and chips, my spouse received a call from Brenno. Apparently we would need to come in and give them some more money, the amount would be revealed when we got back to the dealership. My spouse politely agreed and, upon ending the call with Brenno, immediately called our financial institution to cancel the check we had just written. We returned to the dealership mostly for our own amusement. Upon entering the dealership we were called by the sales manager into his office. Brenno was not in sight. The sales manager offered us two options, either take the local car, or pay another $500 to secure the vehicle we just bought. My spouse was happy to inform the gentleman of yet a third option, and we set out again for home. This morning I was going through my voicemails when I came across a peculiarly long, and yet unheard, voicemail from our pal Brenno. I listened as he said he was returning my call and looked forward to hearing from me, and continued to listen as he was handed the other phone and had that earlier conversation with me when I called the sales department to confirm our payment method. I recognized our conversation and continued to listen after Brenno ended the call with me, his cell phone still recording in his pocket, and informed his sales manager that he had "just quoted the guy $200 over invoice to shut him up and get him in here". He explained that he had done so because I kept trying to "hold (him) to a price". Yep, that's exactly what I was doing and I told Brenno that clearly when I called..."I would like to buy xxxx car and need to know how much that will cost" ... seems reasonable to me, but not to Scarff Ford Auburn. I do still have that recording and will post a link to it if I can figure out how to do that. I'm a disabled Vet, not a computer guy, but I'll try. **Update- search "Scarff Ford Auburn sales rep accidentally records himself" or any part thereof on the U-tube for the audio. Best I could do. So if you'd like to have your afternoon wasted by someone who will say anything just to "shut you up" and not honor his word, hop on down to the integrity void that is Scarff Ford Auburn and let Brenno and his band of merry pranksters delight you with a tale of whimsy. I found the experience at way scarff ford to be a very delighful one and I even bought a car from them a ford fushion titanium version and a 2014 version of the car. I have a large sum of money I will be aquiring soon and intend to pay for the car then and pick it up and take it home. The salesman who sold me the car I could not find enough good things to say about him as he was number one in my book and he had the best product that he was selling as I understand has even topped the toyota camery which has been a best seller for many years now but the ford fushion is far out front now as the best car to buy today period.

I've bought 2 cars from Scarff in Auburn and each experience was great.The salespeople are friendly, the prices are fair and even the office staff says hi when you walk in. They all seem to enjoy working there. I've recommended several friends to them and they have all been treated as well as I have.

They offered me a ridiculously low number for my trade in, and I left with an agreement on the amount of the trade in, but we were still $2,000 apart. I sold my car private party and brought back cash instead of the trade in plus the $2,000 we were apart. However, when I went back in, they wouldn't keep their deal and suddenly we were ANOTHER $3,500 apart, even though there was a piece of paper showing our deal. Every flim flam used car salesman trick in the book and 4 hours of my life I will never get back.

I had started with a search for a new car over the internet. But soon found that I just could not afford one. they called me back with some options of used cars. We went down to look and still could not find one that I liked. But the sales person just keep up asking , in a very nice way mind you not bothersome at all. and then we found an HHR that they had. Weird to find a Chev at a Ford dealership but it was a great price and just what I was looking for. During the whole process everyone was great to deal with and very friendly. I would recomend anyone to go look for car from them. They are a smaller dealership but there people are great. And if your looking for a call make sure that you ask for Robert. I manage salespeople for a living and I have to say that Robert was a 5 star salesperson. He was never friendly, always went out of his way to anwser questions and was never impatiant with me as we disscussed the price and issues that I had looking for a car. I know that I was not an easy customer as I was very picky on what I wanted and was not just going to get anything. So far after the sale they have been great and the car has been a dream.

I found a car I researched also, previous owner was a staff member at the dealership and did not disclose the accident his wife had in the car he sold me..... didn't give me much for a real nice small pickup I traded in.

They had a great deal on a SUV that I have been researching for quite a while, called Dave Gray and told him everything about my trade that I had, and the amount I wanted for it. I made sure to tell him everything I needed because I didn't want to waste my time (and his time) driving up there for no reason. He said that the amount I was looking for seems right and it checks out on paper and he just needed to take a look at it. Drove 3 hours to get there with my wife and 4y/o and 8mo/o, got there and Dave was busy so he pawned me off to an associate (who was really nice), test drove the SUV, got back to the dealership....still no dave, they looked at my car which was just how I had mentioned it over the phone and they offered me $4,000 less than Dave and I had spoke about with no explanation....Wasted SIX hours of my families life when he could have told me over the phone what they would give me for my car! In hind site I now realize that Dave probably knew I wouldn't get the amount I wanted for the car, was hoping that I wouldn't drive all the way there and leave empty handed, and didn't want to take the heat...just a hunch. Horrible experience and would not recommend anyone going there at all, or at least DEFINITELY not with a trade, and I won't be going back there at all.
