Used 1983 Delorean DMC-12 for sale in Merrimack

Fresh out of its ten years spent on display as part of the Boch Collection, one of the countries premier collections of Italian designed sports cars of the 60's-80's With the odometer showing just over 5500 miles from new this vehicle is what can only be described as a time capsule. Recognized as one of the most popular vehicles ever. DeLorean Motor Company only lasted two years filing for bankruptcy in the fall of 1982. In early 1983 a company by the name of Consolidated International stepped in purchasing all of the DeLorean companies assets which included all left over parts, unfinished and unsold vehicles. Which brings us to this particular vehicle. Caught up on the assembly line at the time of the bankruptcy in late 1982 and sold as an unfinished unit, it was finally completed in spring of 1983. Because of the delay Consolidated chose to rebadge these units as 1983 models producing just 276 total units for the year. Purchased new by its first owner in May 1984 he only logged 4112 miles in his 19 years of ownership. He sold it to its second owner in April 2003,the second owner never once driving the vehicle trying not to put another mile on it. Fast forward to 2012 and the Barrett-Jackson auction where Ernest Boch Jr. purchased it for display in his private collection, but not before sending it to DMC in Humble Texas for a complete open checkbook mechanical and cosmetic refreshing and engine out detailing. He even had them upgrade its horsepower by almost 40hp. Included are the original Stainless steel care kit, a sales brochure and the hand written mileage log from the 1st owner at every fill up ! and a padded fitted car cover It has now become available for sale to its next loving owner.
