There is nothing else quite like the Plymouth Prowler, and there never will be. Chrysler took a 1993 concept car that stopped auto show crowds in their tracks and made the decision to actually build it with almost no changes. The result was one of the most distinctive production cars ever to roll off an American assembly line. The 2001 model is particularly special because it was the last year the Prowler carried the Plymouth name. When production ended that year, Plymouth was discontinued after more than 70 years, and the Prowler became a Chrysler for its final run in 2002. This one, finished in Prowler Silver Metallic with a black leather interior and chrome five spoke wheels, is a very clean example of a car that turns heads everywhere it goes. Under the hood is the 3.5 liter V6 backed by a four speed automatic with Chrysler's AutoStick feature, which lets you tap through the gears manually when you want to have some fun. The engine puts out 253 horsepower and moves this car with surprising urgency given how light it is. The Prowler was built on an all-aluminum chassis, making it the most aluminum-intensive production vehicle in North America at the time it was built.
