We probably buy, recondition and resell more Land Rover Discovery's than anyone else in the Southeast, so we feel like we know them VERY well! So when we say this is one of the nicest we've ever offered, it means something. This truck came to us from its long-term home on Birmingham, AL where it was exquisitely well kept by its previous owner. Unfortunately like most 4.6L Discos, it developed a tendency to overheat and though the previous owner even put on new head gaskets, it developed the dreaded loose liner lift tick! As a result, we have been completely through this engine - it features new bearings, gaskets, valve guides, lifters, timing chain, injector seals, water pump, all belts and hoses, new (lo-temp) thermostat, and reservoir tank and cap. Of course, we know just an overhaul will not prevent problems in the future, so we have applied special procedures to permanently lock all 8 liners in place preventing any subsequent loosening and overheating. All engine sensors and main oxygen sensors. It is current on servicing with all new wipers, filters, and Shell Rotella oil. Most remarkably, the paint and plastic are in extraordinarily good condition, with none of the typical cracking or fading so common on these trucks at this age. Likewise, the interior is also very, very nice and features a newly installed headliner. The AC has been charged up and cools to 55 degrees in minutes. All windows, roofs, and door locks work as they should. We "enhanced" the truck with a 2" lift, rear ladder, new pads and rotors all around and 5 new 32" Nokia Roadian AT Pro RA8 tires with the proper high rear spare mount. The widows were recently tinted to the legal maximum. Of course, you aficionados know that the 2004 is especially coveted for its unique Center Locking Differential. You also know how sought after '04s in this condition are, so we don't expect it to last long.
