For sale is a very rare 1997 Mercedes-Benz SL600 with only 62,100 original miles!Designed in 1984, the R129 was based on the shortened floorpan of the Mercedes-Benz W124 and featured many innovative details for the time, for instance the optional electronically controlled damping ADS and a hidden, automatically extending roll-over bar.The R129's gave way to a rear modern multi-link axle.The number of standard features was high, with electric action for the windows, mirrors, seats and hydraulic convertible top.This car has a distinction of being the first passenger vehicle to have seat belts integrated into the seats as opposed to anchoring to the floor, B-pillar, and transmission tunnel.The R129s were in 1994 re-designated. For example, 500 SL became SL 500. From 1990 until 2002 there were only small design changes, mostly not in the exterior area, so the great look and feel is from the beginning the same.Our car is beautiful inside and out. The V12s were only produced in small numbers, so they are very rare, and will increase their values now as real classic cars very fast.
