Original owner, Big Jim Barchesky, started this business in 1959 in the backyard of his house in Derry. Jim got into the car business because of his father. His father and uncle owned Barchesky Brothers Chrysler and Plymouth in Derry before they ended the business in 1956. Jim will be forever missed but we hope to continually make him proud.Jims wife, Jane, had always worked along his side, as well as his son Mike. Still to this day Jane, Mike, and Mikes children, Kathryn (Kate), and Tom run Superior Motors. If you stop by or follow them on Facebook, you will also notice that Kate takes along her children as well. That makes a total of four generations currently at Superior Motors, it is a full family affair! No need to worry about someone making a commission, its just family. The family takes pride in the 55 years that Superior Motors has been on Route 30, obviously withstanding a good reputation as a used car lot, clearly doing something right. The business is known by many locals as the place with all the white cars. The Barchesky family strives to continue the family business and provide great value deals for our community's patrons and businesses.
