Was in search of a used 8 passenger SUV and comparing 3 potential vehicles simultaneously. Trey assisted me with my search and within a few hours got exactly what I needed for a reasonable price. No pressure, no rush - Trey gave me time to think about my options and decide on my own. Very satisfied with this big purchase. Scott Davis kept things simple and understandable as well. Five stars for their friendly service. We were made welcome and didn't feel lost or confused during any part of the process as everything was explained thoroughly. My friend had recently purchased a Subaru from your dealership, through Clayton, and she recommended I speak with him when I told her I was looking for a new car. What a good recommendation! Clayton was great - very knowledgeable about the cars I was looking at, and extremely patient as I weighed my options, vascilatting between the Forester and the Outback. He was quick to respond to all my texts/emails, and wasn't pushy in any way. I really did get the impression he wanted me to leave the dealership happy with my decision. Since my purchase I have run in to the service department twice with a couple of questions and everyone there has been friendly and helpful. Tish was my service rep and she was lovely, and efficient. Overall, my Subaru purchase has been a great experience thus far! And I'm really loving my Outback!

I recently bought a 2016 Passat for my wife as a surprise. When I arrived at the dealership I was greeted by a young lady who asked if I needed help and immediately pointed me in the direction I needed to go. She then introduced me to my sales rep Trey leggit with in a matter of 3 mins of arriving to the dealership. Trey was outstanding, he was very Thorough and showed me exactly what I wanted to see. He was very professional and helpful even going the extra mile to help me quickly find a bow for the car for my wife and helping collaborate with my story when she called. We tested drive the car and the rest was history. From the time I arrived at the dealership and spoke with Trey I was in and out with the new car in less than 1hr and on my way back home. This was truly the best and by FAR the easiest purchase of a vehicle that I have ever had and would recommend this dealership and Trey any day!

Corinne and I have been doing business for over 6 years and 5 cars, between myself and myself family members. I thought I was doomed to a lifetime of the in-house financing, which does not exactly allow the financial flexibility of banks and credit unions. We both knew it was time for an upgrade, so she decided to indulge me in my curiosity with exploring my options of trading in a car is had for nearly 4 years. Her digging revealed an approval with a credit union (!), though I didn't take her seriously until she began showing me cars and having me test-drive them. I then found myself in the driver's seat of a 2-year old vehicle with well under the average amount of miles, and all of the features I had been looking for! Not only was I to become the owner of a vehicle I'd fallen in love with at first drive, my interest rate would drop dramatically, and my monthly payments appreciably lower! She then showed her appreciation for my years of business with a thoughtful gift...I can't properly express my gratitude for her hard work in getting me into a deal I couldn't refuse, and I can't reccommend her enough!

I was not looking forward to shopping for a new vehicle after our 2011 Honda Accord was flooded in the Outer Banks, NC. USAA & Casey Auto group had a Buyer's Circle deal that made the negotiating stress free. But the most amazing part of the shopping experience was dealing with the young, but wise beyond his years, salesperson Trey Leggett. He was thoroughly knowledgeable in comparison shopping both the Honda Accord & the Subaru Legacy. He did not pressure us, but educated us to the differences & pointed out the bells & whistles for each when test driving both vehicles. He was quite versed in setting the features that needed setting & explained how to reset & work the features ourselves. We received the tour of the dealership & were introduced to the service department as well. When I came back to drop off a check after a weekend getaway, he offered to run the car thru the car wash to "debug" the car. I would definitely recommend both the dealer & this salesman.

I initially communicated with Trey by phone, and test drove with Felix when I came in. Both were great, kind, and wonderful about not coercing me into a sale. Felix wanted me to be sure about my decision to purchase and I didn't feel like I was being pushed to just buy any vehicle. I needed to make a quick decision for my new vehicle choice sooner than anticipated (old vehicle sadly can't keep up with my commute anymore) and returned to Casey Subaru towards the end of the day last night. Kashon, Dana, and Paul were all kind, friendly, and efficient without being pushy to get out after a long day at the office :) I'm very satisfied with my purchase and while I am based in Virginia Beach and there are other Subaru dealers closer to where I live, I specifically returned to Casey because of my first experience with Felix and Trey. I was bummed that they were off the day that my old car decided to enter retirement, as they did a my of initial leg work with me, however I'm thrilled with all aspects of service I received and am extremely happy and satisfied with my purchase. Just drove off the lot with a 2.5i Premium Forester a few days ago. Everyone was pleasant to work with and the buying process was straightforward. I live 2+ hours from this dealership so price was already agreed upon before I walked through the door. Knowing that I was traveling a great distance, Raheem had all of the paper work ready for me, which expedited everything. Scott and Dana both gave me their respective spiels on warranties and weather protection; I politely declined and there was no pressure involved, which is always a welcome thing. Overall, everyone was professional, very friendly, and the process was fairly stress-free, as car buying goes. In and out in about an hour.

Trey was very friendly and helpful as soon as I walked into the dealership and was directed to him. He asked me what I was looking for and what I wanted to do as far as my other vehicle. I told him that I was looking for a Jetta and have already test drove but he encouraged me to test drive it again to make sure it was what I was looking for. I went on the website and let them know i was interested in a specific vehicle. Received an email from Casey's volkswagen stating the vehicle is there. So i drove 100 miles to purchase this vehicle just to get there for them to tell me that someone has put a deposit on the car to secure it. And next they attempt to put me in a vehicle much degrading than the one i attempt to purchase. Never will do business with them ever.

I bought a new 2016 Volkswagen GTI S 4dr.Overall, buying experience wasn't terrible and they were very flexible on trade allowance. I was overcharged about $2800 on a mark up that I should have payed closer attention to in the buying process. But I was also under the assumption that I could trust a car dealership. Momentary lapse in judgement. My fault for not asking more questions. My real issue:After the sale is final and you are no longer profitable to them, forget about getting easy help. The service department drilled through the tag bracket into my front bumper for the temporary tag and the holes would not line up with the permanent tag. I refused to drill two more unneccessary holes in a brand new car. This is common, I know, but I am paying a lot of money for this car. So yes, I'm going to be picky when it comes to carelessness.Talked to a tech and he gave me screws that would not pierce the bumper. Why were these not used in the first place? After an argument in the showroom with the Sales manager, because he "did not see what the problem was" and "couldn't do anything to help me" he agreed to have the bumper repaired. All holes, including the tag bracket holes and I will mount the tag myself. Thank you, Sir.Dropped the car off on Tuesday June 28, 2016. And picked up a loaner. LOANER: DISGUSTING INSIDE. THE CAR HAD OBVIOUSLY NOT BEEN CLEANED. I KNOW THIS BECAUSE I FOUND THE RENTAL AGREEMENT FROM THE PREVIOUS CUSTOMER IN THE COMPARTMENT UNDER THE RADIO. Sorry, Sallie from Portsmouth, but since Casey Volkswagen cares nothing about you or anyone else as a customer, I now know your full name, address, phone number, birthdate, driver's license number, and insurance information.I turned in your agreement to Mike, the sales manager, and he shredded it. 2 Days after dropping the car off, I got a call saying that the work could not be done on my bumper for another week because the only guy that can fix it is gone until July 5th. And I needed to drop off the loaner and pick up my car, only to return it in 5 days. I told them to keep my car until the job was finished (simply because I don't trust a word they are saying at this point and I don't believe that the job can't be done) Then they began telling me how much this was going to cost the dealership as if I am making an unreasonable request. Also informed me that I could speak to the General Manager about the return of the loaner. THE GENERAL MANAGER CALLED ME AND IT WAS AN IMMEDIATE ARGUMENT. I forgot his name so lets call him "His Highness." Since that is the only accurate description of his attitude and condescending tone from the minute I answered the phone. So, "His Highness, the King General Manager" threatened to report me as an unauthorized user of the loaner vehicle and forcefully take the car back, which was a reasonable course of action but also the first resort after no attempt to see things from any point of view but his own. I will admit, I was a little rude and have been through this whole process. But I do have a clue on how this should work and it should not be anywhere near as difficult as it has been. Its easy to see that THIS DEALERSHIP IS ABOUT PROFITS AND PROFITS ONLY. If they make a mistake, its like pulling teeth to get them to fix it.Although I now have a guarantee that the work will get done, how can I trust them to do the job right? They're already reluctant to provide decent customer service or, in the GM's case, even talk to me like I am a person. As far as Casey Volkswagen is concerned, they made their money and now they just want me to go away. It took 2 DAYS for them to look at a bumper. And the only excuse for the time wasted was that they need the GM to approve the repairs and he was unavailable the whole time. (Apparently phones are obsolete with that guy until you refuse to return his car.) I understand a high volume, dealership bodyshop is busy. But if this is the case, why do you schedule appointments? Bumper repairs are the most common repair in the auto body industry, how do you only have one person able to fix this one?The Better Business Bureau already has 17 complaints in 3 years on the Casey VW Service department, soon to be 18

I went to Casey hoping that I could work a deal on a specific used car. It didn't seem like it could happen but, Trey made it happen and I felt like he was always on our side! He is extremely knowledgeable and very thorough in all that he does. I felt like he explained himself well and went the extra mile in all things. I would DEFINITELY buy another car from Casey and especially from Trey Leggett. The best example of Trey going the extra mile was him getting a razor blade to carefully and meticulously take off my wife's 2 bumper stickers that represented our kids in college. He took them off and placed them on our new vehicle AFTER the deal was done! Most salesmen would have said goodbye at the door but, Trey made sure that everything was perfect! We recently bought a 2016 Golf TSI. Clayton Moats was our sales representative and we made it an easy day for him. My wife looked at him and said this is what I want and this is the color, let's make it happen. And Clayton made it happen! My wife was finishing up the paperwork while I was returning the rental car. The rental car place just down the street closed 15 minutes before I got there. So to the airport I went. I let my wife know where I was and she said that Clayton would be there to pick me up in 10 minutes. Over all our experience was very positive. We were interested in a smaller vehicle to replace an older Explorer. Checked out the Outback and the Forester. Trey Leggett was extremely knowledgable and helpful in going through a explanation of features and comparison between the models. Test drove the Subaru with Ken King, he also reviewed features and reliability. We eventually purchased a different brand from a different dealer, but were pleased with the receptiveness of the folks at Casey. Will keep them in mind for future vehicle requirements.

I haven't been in the car market in years, I've had no idea what to expect out of a car today. a few months ago I started looking at VW's. I had a feeling I would drive on a lot just knowing I would be hounded by a salesman from getting out of my car all the way till I left. This was actually the case, minus the hounding part. As I pulled in to park I was immediately greeted by an up-beat happy young salesman Clayton. He was very personable and easy to work with. He asked me about my needs first then pointed me towards what suited me the best right away. We went right to a car that had everything I was hoping to get in my next car, the only issue was the interior/exterior color. But Clayton made that easy too. We drove the car that was there, then went inside to talk about getting one in the color I wanted. Though Clayton made a very reasonable offer to take the one they had on the lot. I stuck with the color I wanted, which they were able to ship to their lot within a couple days. The paperwork was ready when I came back, I was in and out. Then Clayton went over every feature until I was comfortable with the operations of the equipment. He was adamant about making sure I call him if I have any questions which really gave me confidence in being taken care of even long after the sale. This was a sterotypical car buying experience. One thing that really took me by surprise was the initial price at the dealer was actually higher than the on-line price by at least $4,000. Their explaniation was that they had to be competitive on-line but at the dealer it was about supply and demand. My own conclusion was that they lure people into the lot and then don't have to be competitive and will use any possible tactics including a less than obvious sticker to wring as much profit as possible from the unsuspecting customer. After several rounds of negoation and nearly walking out, we were able to make a deal. I think the sales associate was stuck between his desire to sell and the policies of the dealer. I attribute all my disatisfaction to the dealer and their policies.

We have all heard/experienced the horrors of what working with some dealers can be. After putting your information out all over the place and getting phone call on top of phone call. Then there's the deal. Am I getting a good price? Do I believe what the dealer says about my trade in? Is it too good to be true? All in all the Car Buying Process can be difficult and time consuming. During the past month I have been to dealerships all around Hampton Roads and Northern VA and most of my experiences were exactly what you would have expected.But that is where Casey VW was different. They made the whole process simple and easy from trading in a 2010 Civic to driving my new GTI off the lot. They were transparent and never tried to hide anything in the numbers. Hard to believe but even the Business Office (extended warranties, financing, etc) was down to earth and straightforward. Trey Leggett was my main salesperson and he was excellent from beginning to end. He was patient and understanding even when I decided not to purchase the first time I walked in (would have saved myself some trouble if I had, haha). He reached out at perfect intervals and was never overbearing. He made it a great experience from the very first day I walked into the dealership to the day I drove off the lot.If you're in the market for a new car, save yourself the time and effort, go straight to these guys.

Last month I ordered a base model 2016 Outback from the factory, after they did everything they could to locate me one. Although waiting 6 weeks was tough, Clayton Moats was excellent to deal with, and always answered my text messages promptly when I asked for updates. He also walked me through the financing process and when the car arrived he hung out with me until I had exhausted my questions. Clayton is very down to earth but also a pro and I was very happy with the whole process and with my new car.

Early this year I decided I wanted to get a new vehicle, primarily a Volkswagen. I had been to dealerships in Louisiana before I moved and in norther Virginia. I prefer to write hand written notes but felt compelled to write an online review for Clayton. I tend to drive my vehicles for years so it had been a bit since my last experience with purchasing a car, something I never enjoy. I always felt pressure, until Clayton Moats. He was the upmost professional. When I asked if there were any used compact cars he pointed out a mint GTI and with no hesitation took my son and I on test drive. My son had just turned of age to drive and I was seeking a used compact car within my budget. He was even a sport (and coach) as my son adjusted to a stick shift. The car, mileage, condition and price seemed perfect until I ran insurance quotes. Ouch. I ended up leaving that night. I was offered an opportunity to hold the car and have a no commitment hold, but opted to go home and do some research on car insurance before I made that decision. There was no pressure and I wasn't pushed any further. Luckily, I located affordable plan with equal coverage that made the car in reach again and even pre approved myself for a low interest loan. I emailed Clayton that night and spoke the next morning. With a small deposit I held the car and set a meeting days later. I arrived at my allocated time and within moments I was going through the process and the purchase of the car was a breeze. I can't stress how easy this process was and how professional and courteous the whole dealership was. I was able to teach my son the process and why I did or did not elect add on packages. These skills are so important for young adults and appreciated their patients as we discussed it all. The smile on my son's face is still huge! He is a happy teenager and I am a happy customer. Thank you again for making this experience a very smooth easy one.

I have been getting my vehicle serviced here for about 4 years. I had tried to trade in my jetta once before but the guy was no help. A few days ago my jetta was being serviced and Clayton Moats had came to the waiting room and talked to me about my intrest in buying a new or just possibly test driving a vehicle. So i thought about it for a few days and came back when I made up my mind. Not only did he do a wonderful job he went above expectations, I got a vehicle I wanted for a amazing price. I'll put it this way...I had a car already lined up and reserved with money down at another dealer. Didn't think it was possible to get me to withdraw my down payment and start the process all over again, but here I am with a new car and relatively stress free. The team was very helpful, and the facility was modern and inviting. My salesperson was Clayton. Super organized, very helpful and reliable guy. At one point I was so relaxed I almost forgot I was buying a car. I was going to trade my car in to help with the purchase that would be a few days later. Clayton offered me a Loaner (car provided by dealer at no cost) so that I didn't have to worry about my trade-in before time of purchase. That, along with the confidence I had already gsined made the entire process painless. I would recommend this dealer to a person looking for a new car. I'm sure the other salesmen are also good but if I had to buy another car I'd ask if Clayton was available. Just my two cents.

Resubmitting my review because I missed checking Quality of Work (Excellent) the first time around. In April 2016, I purchased a new Subaru Outback from Casey Imports in Newport News, VA. While the looking and buying experience was stretched out over two months (longer than usual for me), it came down to vehicle, model and dealership in the end. A Subaru Outback was on my short list from the start. I have bought and serviced vehicles through other dealerships within the Casey Auto Group, so I was already familiar and comfortable working with them. The USAA New Car Buying Service was fine and the final price was in the range I expected. I thought the interaction with the sales and financial peoples at Casey Subaru was very good. Overall, it was a positive buying experience. I would strongly recommend others interested in Subaru vehicles to contact Casey Subaru.

I would not recommend buying a car from Casey auto. The salesperson was very knowledgeable and I'm very happy with my new Subaru, however the overall car buying process was very difficult as compared to other dealerships I've experienced. Initially, the salesperson seemed offended that I negotiated at all, as I was asking for the KBB value of purchase price for the vehicle and trade-in value for my vehicle. They offered over $500 more than the KBB purchase price for the vehicle and the salesperson wouldn't tell me exactly what my trade-in was valued at, although said it was just enough to cover the amount I owed, and rather tried to negotiate only on monthly payment. When we finally reached a monthly payment number that was acceptable, while reviewing the paperwork I realized that the salesperson had blatantly lied to me about my trade-in value and that it had been valued at $1300 less than my amount owed which they wanted to apply to this purchase. At this point I began negotiating with the general manager directly, and he admitted it was their mistake and they gave me another $1300 toward my trade-in which was still $2000 below KBB value. Throughout this process they kept asking for good reviews without actually making an attempt to earn a good review. Things began sailing smoothly again until I was signing the paperwork and the finance guy tried to force us into and over-priced maintenance warranty and gap protection. His argument for the warranty was that the ECU and TCU were of shoddy quality and were expensive to replace. I couldn't believe that these people would talk bad about their product just to sell something. On trying to sell me on gap protection, the finance guy said that I could call and cancel the protection when my amount owed was less than the KBB value. I told him that his dealership obviously doesn't care about book value based on what happened earlier. Finally, during the walkaround to take delivery of the vehicle, I asked the salesperson to remove the dealer sticker and they left behind a sticky residue on the car and made no attempt to clean it.Overall, I feel that I got the car with a better deal than the one that they wanted to give me and I'm very happy with the vehicle itself. However, the negotiating and buying process was incredibly deceitful and difficult and it showed that these people would say anything to make a sale, including bad-mouthing their own product. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone who is looking for a fair, honest and straightforward car buying experience.

Wasn't in the market to buy a vehicle at this time. Due to circumstances, while in Virginia Beach, it became a necessity. I'm an avid fan of Consumer Reports and they rate Subara as a very safe reliable vehicle. Used CR's build and buy since I was not familiar with Dealers in the area, plus a good discount through them. This dealership, Paul in particular was the first to call me of the recommended dealerships. Yes, it was a bit of a drive from Va. Beach to Newport News, but I really liked and was pleasantly surprised talking with Paul by phone. We made an appointment for me to test drive the Outback. Once I was there, a most pleasant and very knowledgable young man, Trey Leggett, I have to say went above and beyond to answer my questions and address my concerns. I can't say enough outstanding remarks about Trey, and still not be able to convey what a very pleasant experience it was working with him. I most also give a Hugh thanks to Hayden Davis, for his just won't quit attitude and work ethic. I highly recommend Trey, Paul and Hayden if you too want to experience a genuine care for the purchaser experience as I did.

I just walked my mom through purchasing her very first new car at Casey Subaru. I was not looking forward to the experience, having purchased many vehicles over the last 30 years and never enjoying the process. Playing mind games with car salesmen is good sport when you are twenty or maybe even thirty something, but it is just a pain in the rear when you get older. Wasting large swaths of time waiting for the salesman to pretend he is working on a deal for you? No thanks! Thank goodness we were assigned Clayton Moats as our salesman at Casey Subaru. We started out on the AARP auto buying program site, typed in what we were looking for and what options we wanted, and then we submitted a request for dealers to contact us with their quotes. We very quickly received an email from Casey Subaru thanking us for considering them and assigning Clayton to us as our contact person. Clayton contacted me by email and then by phone to make an appointment for us to go to the dealership to meet with him for the purchase. I explained to Clayton that my mom is memory challenged when under stress, is a complete technophobe, gets intimidated by new things easily, and might even decide she wanted a different vehicle once she saw all the new things that she would have to get used to in the new car. Clayton assured me that he was very comfortable dealing with people with my mom's challenges, and that he had all the time we needed to explain everything to her and test drive other vehicles, if necessary.Since Clayton had her selected vehicle and the required paperwork prepped and waiting for her when we arrived, we might have been able to complete the process and transaction in about an hour. However, my mom needed several test drives of the selected car, several test drives of a different car, two separate indoctrination sessions to part of the tech used in her finally decided upon Subaru Legacy, and a wait for insurance documentation that had not been completed as promised by our insurance agent (grrr State Farm). Clayton never seemed to mind. His attitude was awesome, he was always smiling and upbeat, and he went out of his way to explain things clearly and as many times as needed to my mom. His manners were impeccable, something that you rarely find in someone of any age these days.I know car sales is a business and that these gentlemen and ladies are well trained in their jobs of selling, but all the training in the world will not provide a salesperson with the kinds of people skills that only come naturally and prevent interactions from seeming forced and fake. I hate rah, rah sales people who talk too loudly, address you as my dear when you are well past 40 years of age, and who try to avoid answering questions directly as if I am so stupid I can be mentally steered wherever they want me to go. With Clayton Moats, that dreaded type of experience will never occur. He is polite, knowledgeable, low-key but cheerful and sincere in his desire to help. It would be wise for Casey Subaru to do whatever is necessary to keep him around as their employee and not the competitions. I would definitely buy a vehicle from him again.A shout-out must also go to Paul Clark at the dealership for being the one to provide an excellent price and assigning Clayton to us as our salesman.

Travis and his sales staff too busy eating in front of customers to truly give great service. Sales guy lost my ID and Travis the so called second rate finance manager was so rude to me. Offered me a $711 car payment for a VW Golf w/a 840 credit score! Then only offered $4000 for my trade in!! Went to another VW dealership and got $7400 for my trade in and a $425 car payment. Travis was over the top rude and when reported to corporate office I never got a returned phone call. Really bad customer service. Hostile environment!!!!

Clayton Moats listened to what I wanted and understood that we did not want the normal tactics that "other "dealerships normally put you through when trying to make the sale. We had gone to another dealer before going to Casey and I was able to tell Clayton what I wanted and how much I wanted to spend within 30 minutes I had what I wanted and saved a little more than I had intended . My VW beetle was ready for a trade-in, so I went to Casey VW to see about their Jettas. I had owned a red Sport VW Jetta in the past and loved it. Hardly before we got out of the car, there was Trey asking if we needed help. We told him what we were looking for. Trey answered all our questions and showed us the difference between the available models. There happened to be a red one there and Trey got in with us and we went for a drive. He was so patient and respectful with all my questions. I had a little anxiety about the push button model and some other features, but he was quick to reassure me. I was also impressed with the way in which Trey was our contact throughout the whole deal. Very little back-and-forth with negotiating and no hard sell. It was a seamless transaction. This was also the first time I have traded in a vehicle. I usually sell it on CraigsList for more cash. But, this time I was grateful that they were willing to do all that work for me. The store manager and the financial manager were both professional and courteous. It all happened so fast, and it couldn't have come at a better time, as I had to go out of town the next day. I was thrilled to be in a car that I could trust...and a zippy, red one with GREAT gas mileage at that!! Thanks Trey and Casey VW!!

We had received pre approval from a bank we have accounts with, Scott reviewed our pre approval and found us a better rate with another bank, even though we were not shopping for financing. After doing extensive research over a period of months I finally bit the bullet and traveled to the nearest Subaru dealership just to check out my options. After wandering around the lot I went into the Subaru building and was surprised to see only one person, working on his computer. I stood there for what seemed a long time (probably about a minute) during which the man never seemed to notice me, I finally asked if there was someone who could help. He said he would get a salesperson and Clayton came over from the VW building. I later learned that building is where all the people and cars are. (Don't bother going into th Subaru building, there is practically nothing there.)From that point on my experience improved greatly. Clayton asked questions and listened carefully to what I had to say. He never seemed impatient although I was in no hurry and told him I was just starting the looking process. He appeared happy to have me drive whatever I wanted. After test drives my clear favorite was the Outback. Although Clayton would have been most pleased if I had made a purchase that day he never got pushy on me. No push. No smarmy salesmanship. He always came across as genuine, very important to me.In the end, after thinking about things for a week, I ordered a car from Clayton to get exactly what I wanted. So far the process has been smooth and easy, except for the interference of winter storm Jonas. Now I am just waiting for the call saying my car has arrived!I would definitely recommend Clayton and Casey for a positive car purchase experience.

This dealership has the absolute worst customer service I've ever had to deal with. I've never felt so pressured to make a decision like I was here. They didn't listen to a word I was saying about the car I wanted and the amount I was willing to pay. Tried putting me in a vehicle that I had no interest in. I think my sales person thought because I was a single woman alone I had no idea what I wanted or felt he was going to be able to take advantage of the situation. Also, I don't exactly care for you to talk to me about your girlfriend problems either that's not going to get you my pity either as I'm here to buy a car not for you to try and pick me up. It was so unprofessional.I also didn't respect how every time they would try to get me to go higher on my payment they'd have me sign a piece of paper. New price point-"oh sign here to show your serious" - then asked me if I had a credit card to show that I was serious to make a purchase. Not to mention I left and I never heard from my sales person again! Absolutely the worst car shopping experience ever!

Well, these guys must be doin somethin right because this is my second car purchased in the last year and a half! You get to know all the staff on a first name basis by the time the deal is done. I felt very comfortable when I was searching for a VW for my wife when Travis Wynn...l call him Travis showed me a 2014 30th edition Gli!! Beautiful car at a very reasonable price. I was out of there in 3 hrs. And she just loves the car. I owned a 2008 R32 at one time and had my eye on the 2016 Volkswagen R as my wife stated its your turn to get the car you so desire. So..... I went back to Casey VW and told Travis I was in the market for a VW R and not just any R. I wanted a fully loaded Black in color with all the bells and whistles including A/T. Wow!! These cars are hard to find less alone get your hands on one! Low and behold I'm introduced to Salesman Clayton Moats who sets me up with a Black fully loaded 2016 VW R !! He guided me through the whole buying and paperwork process as easily and effortlessly as if he was on a mission to see that I was completely satisfied never missing a beat to keep me informed with what he was doing and what a privilege it was to sell me this beautiful beast. I got to tell you if you want a great car at a great price. This dealership is Number 1 in my book when it comes to service and customer relations. We did our research on line and knew the car we wanted. Arriving back in the states after living in Japan for 2 years our first contact was via the phone with Trey Leggett. Upon arrival to Hampton Roads, Trey sadly informed us that the car we wanted could not be located. At that time we ordered our Outback 3.6 limited and were able to receive all the "bells and whistles" that we wanted, knowing we would need to wait about 60 days.In less than that time our car was delivered. Trey came to our house to pick us up! This involved a drive thru the Hampton Roads bridge tunnel at rush hour! A headache on a normal day. We just LOVE our Outback and could not have been happier with the service and attentiveness of all the staff but especially Tray.

I did my research on-line, and knew what car I wanted. The on-line staff responded very quickly and referred me to Trey Leggett. He answered my questions and was efficient and professional as we made my purchase happen. He didn't waste my time with information I didn't need or try to sell me anything I didn't want. I got a great deal on the car, and he broke down each aspect of the price. He got me the exact car that I wanted--make, color, options. Most of this was done by phone. On the day I came to complete the purchase, Trey went through all of it quickly and clearly. I opted for exterior and fabric protection, and Dana Beaudry made that happen quickly that day. After I got home, I realized that we'd had a minor misunderstanding about one part of the deal. Trey immediately got Travis Wynn involved, who called me and made it right. Travis made it clear that he valued me as a customer and wanted my buying experience to be a great one. This is the second car that I've purchased from Casey VW, and I've found them to be straightforward, fair, efficient, and professional. I've traveled past a couple of other VW dealers to get to them, and I would definitely do so again.

Took my 2014 Jetta TDI to trade it in for a new gas powered VW. I was immediately greeted by Trey and pointed me out to the options that I was already considering. Took 3 vehicles out on test drives and settled for a fully loaded 2016 GTI with the performance pack. Got a pretty good deal and Casey auto group worked with me on my trade in to help minimize negative equity from the TDI. Amir and the dealership in general made it extremely easy for me to purchase a brand new car for the first time. They even went out to another dealership to trade for the color I wanted! Any questions I had, Amir always had an answer. They are extremely helpful to military members and willing to find the lowest auto loans / insurance policies for you. After 6 days looking for cars and over 30 dealerships with many lemons on the way, I ended up in the first time where I was with Trey. He was the best salesman ever! I could not ask for more than the help of someone. He sold me more than a car, as helped me with all the things, even if that means to stay 2 hours after the closing hour of the dealership.Truly happy so far. Price wise it makes sense to buy a car from him, even if the cost itself may be a bit too high.. but I guess that I paid for the service, extremely honest and professional :)I would like to have a employee like him in the future!

I bought a 2014 Jetta TDI from Casey a few months ago. It had 23,000 miles on it. Since it was traded with 18K on it, I brought it back at 28K for the 10K oil change. Just last Saturday I brought it in for the 30K service. I also asked that the check-up include a wheel alignment and balance. While eating my breakfast at a nearby resturant, Mike called to advise me that the Mechanic said my fuel and cabin filters needed changing ($200). Later I was advised that the fuel filter is required to be changed at 20K mile intervals. / When I paid and picked up the car, I realized that the alignment was horable (pulled right BAD). I returned immediately and after another hour Mike advised me that his Master Mechanic had realigned it and it Now would go straight.(steering wheel is still 5 degrees left while car goes straight). / However my main concern is my charge for the fuel filter, which should have been changed Before my purchase, since I bought it after the 20K "certified" service that apparently never occured. That was the understanding I had at purchase and the bases of the extended warranty. Why should I pay for a filter change that should have been done already?

I live in Virginia Beach and was given a very fair price on the phone and was able to make a decision on this car rather than two others we were considering. I'm glad we chose this one not only for the price but because of the way our transaction was handled. The other dealerships I contacted just wanted to get me on the lot. I don't think they took me serious and got attitudes when I asked for the lowest price. Everyone at Casey was friendly and professional without being too business like. (I hate when people are so polite and professional you feel like they're just saying words they're supposed to say and not really talking to you.) Everything was on the up & up and to the point. I never felt like I was getting the runaround. I felt very comfortable to ask any questions and didn't feel rushed. In the future I will always call a Casey dealership before another and highly recommend everyone else to do the same. I went to Casey VW/Subaru after visiting the other Subaru dealerships near me in Norfolk. I took the trek out to Casey because their selection seemed a lot more extensive than the other dealerships I had visited. After committing to shopping at Casey, I was very pleased with my decision. Everyone was very helpful, informative, and willing to do whatever to meet my needs. My sales person Clayton Moats was very easy to work with, objective, helpful, and didn't pressure me in any way. He made it easy to make a decision at my own pace and made the purchasing portion pretty painless. I recommend Casey VW/Subaru as a dealership and Clayton Moats is the best! Joel is one of the most honest sales person I have never met. He answers all my questions with all the info he had in the effort of helping me to make an informed purchase. He also helped me with the returning of the rental car i got and he even picked me up from the Richmond airport ( which is about 2 hours drive from the dealership) after I return the rental. Even after I made the purchase, whenever I have a question regarding the car or regarding the service he is available to answer. I strongly recommend people go you Joel as you will want to buy from someone who truly cares about your welfare and who can live up to promise of taking care of your car problems whenever you have one.

Just moved to the area, already knew which vehicle I wanted. Within minutes of browsing the lot, sales associate Trey, came out to greet my family and myself. He was extremely informative and well versed on the particular model I was interested in. He guaranteed me the best possible deal he could on the vehicle, as I did present with a local competitors price . At no point did I feel that he stopped trying to hold true to that promise. He literally was running laps back-and-forth to continuously check with finance whether or not he can get the numbers lower and lower. I honestly can say that young man cared not solely about the dollar but my satisfaction with what I was getting. Overall I had a good experience with Casey Volkswagen. Of course I'd like to be paying zero dollars a month lol, no but seriously they took care of me.

I'm 22 and I just bought a brand new BRZ from Casey Subaru. I went to Casey despite it being further than 2 other dealerships because Casey actually took me seriously (the other dealerships saw me as too young and did not even get up from their desks). It's not hard to love Casey Subaru when compared to the other local dealers, but even without that comparison, they were fantastic. Trey is a young salesman with both a great personality and work ethic. He stayed long after he was done for the day so that I could get my car the day it came in. He answered every phone call and called me back when he said he would. He did not try to rip me off despite the fact that every deal we made lost him more and more of his commission. He genuinely cared about my concerns and seriously broke the numbers down when I got confused. If you are from Hampton Roads, do not go anywhere other than Casey and be sure you ask for Trey, he really was absolutely amazing.

We came across an amazing deal on the Casey website for fully loaded 2015 Passat SE TSi. Although the car we were looking for was not on the lot the night we came to the dealership, Trey showed us a similar Passat with all the same features. We stopped in to look at the new 2015 Golf Wagen. He did a great job explaining the features and MPG and the benefits of gas vs. diesel. In the end, we got a Golf Wagen at a different dealership because they have a "no haggle" price, which appeals to me. Honestly, who wants to go through all that! So, Casey, go ahead and go "no haggle" so your great sales people like Trey can be on an even playing field. My husband & I were ready to start testing a new vehicle to replace our nineteen year old Lexus. Our children (both professionals/PhD & Optometrist) have purchased two VW automobiles during the last year - Passat & GTI - therefore, one of our first considerations was the Passat. He took us for a test drive so my daughter could see the car that night. That had him at the staying way past close. We put a deposit on the car that night. Trey Liggett worked very hard to make sure I had all the information I wanted concerning the purchase of a new Jetta TDI. Trey worked with me over a two day period to even make sure I could try and get the best trade in value available for my old Jetta. Shawn worked hard to get the price work-up down to my max payment I was willing to make, then I found another $1300 to cut, and two hours passed before Shawn sent numbers back to me where he had rolled the $1300 in saving back into the vehicle price adding to the dealer profit and not helping me out.

I contacted Casey VW Subaru about a used car they advertised for sale that I was interested in viewing. Casey VW internet sales contacted me immediately and asked me to stop by.Upon arrival I was greeted by a very energetic young man "Clayton Moats" who was very interested in assisting me. We did a test drive of the vehicle and Clayton was able to answer all of my questions. After some meaningful negotiation, we settled on a price.It was a stress free purchase and enjoyed talking with all the staff in the dealership. I have previously checked out other subaru dealers in the area and they are exactly how I expected a car dealership to be. A selection of cars to choose from, a sweet-talking dealer and the negotiation afterwards.I knew exactly what I wanted before I even walked in to the dealer and I know exactly the price range I should pay for the car that I am seeking. In this negotiation progress I am constantly being uncomfortably pushed for other cars, other editions or adding needless options even when I told them dealer exactly what I wanted from the get-go. I understand that it is his job to sell but there is a line between selling a product and being pushy.I decided to try at another Subaru dealer a lot further away from where I live. I met Clayton, a dealer at Casey Subaru. Told him what I wanted for the price and he said ok. That was it. There was no trying to persuade me in getting more options or another version of the model that included a gps for $700 more. It was simple, and it was nice. I couldn't ask for anything more. He was nice, polite, considerate and knew his merchandise. When we were quietly waiting for paperwork he made nice small talk. My ideal experience, and that is how it should be.

When I first arrived at Casey Subaru, I was working with Rob Costello. At my initial stop, I was curious to check out the Subaru Crosstrek. Rob worked with me very intently to find a deal that was right for me. After driving a few Crosstreks, Rob located the exact Crosstrek that I desired. He was extremely informative and knowledgeable about the vehicles and their abilities. He never pushed, and never tried to throw me in a deal I wasn't ready for. I could't have imagined a better first time car buying experience. This goes for everyone in the process as well. From Dana Beaudry to Scott Davis to the sales manager Travis Wynn, they were all extremely friendly and easy to work with. They gave you the various options available, answered all the questions I had (and questions was nothing I was in short supply of) and then let me make the decision I felt was best. The thing I truly respected most was that if I didn't want something--an add on, a warranty, etc--all I had to say was no and we moved on. Clayton was able to sell the car without "selling" the car or being that typical salesmen. I walked in knowing about what I wanted and Clayton helped pick a car and a package better then what I was expecting. And for a cheaper price. Awesome job guys! I took my mom to quite a few local dealerships and not one salesman even treated her like a friend, that was until we went to Casey Subaru. Clayton Moats treated my mother more than just another potential sale. She is constantly complaining and not once did she. Three weeks later, she still speaks highly of Clayton, as well as the whole team. She brags that she knows them all by first name. Thanks guys, I will highly recommend you!

Had a great car purchasing experience at Casey Subaru. Travaris was just awesome. He drove about an hour to come pick-me to take me to the dealership to get the initial paperwork done and a second time so that I can pickup my car when it was ready. One of the best car buying experience I have had.

When me and my wife came in to Casey VW Subaru, we had no idea what car we wanted, especially having spent the entire day car shopping. At this point we were even more confused than when we started! But after Paul took the time to figure out exactly what we wanted and how much we wanted to spend, he made the decision for us very easy. He explained the paperwork clearly so we knew what we were signing and provided us the absolute best customer service I have ever had in a car buying experience. Let me give you the facts of my experience with Casey Subaru. I was put in contact with Sales Manager Steve Mitchell through a friend and spoke with him on the phone to get a price quote on a 2015 Impreza hatchback in the Premium trim. He quoted me a price of $19368 which is more than $1500 below the KBB fair purchase price. I was amazed at the price quote and thought my friend must have a lot of pull at this dealership, so on the phone I asked Steve multiple times if he was sure we were talking about the 2015 Impreza hatchback in Premium trim, and not some other car. He assured me multiple times that it was that car. I went to the dealership and we looked at the car to confirm it was the correct car, everything matched up and it was there on the lot. We got the paperwork going for the purchase. Once we started talking price, Steve walked over and said "Oh Ive made a mistake, I quoted you a price on a different car, but its still a premium, lets go look at that one and make sure you're happy with it". We walked outside and they showed me a BASE model impreza SEDAN, not the premium trim and not even a hatchback. This is not just a simple mistake. When I said this would not work and I didnt want the car, Steve started making accusations that I should have known that the price was too good to be true and that it was my fault for not realizing he was talking about a BASE version. There is another review that mentions this dealership did the same thing to him on a WRX, calling it a "Bait and Switch" and I completely agree, thats how this dealership operates so dont trust them.

This dealership does not hold true to quotes given. I used a car buying service through my bank so I can get the best price possible on a 2015 WRX STI. I was told to contact the dealer for pricing. I have an email string showing the conversation between myself and the dealership. I had conversations over the phone with them in which I was told 2 STI's were in route, 1 blue limited and 1 silver. I was not interested in paying for a limited and liked the silver. I was quoted on the phone for 32700.00 and quoted via email. This being a great deal, I proceeded to the dealership the next day to make a deal. We were able to agree on terms. I was buying a silver WRX STI for 32700.00 The price listed was 36257.00. I left them the down payment and as I was getting ready to verify the car I was buying with another sales person he told me this was not going to happen and there was a mistake on the quote given to me. I find this disturbing as we sat for an hour trying to negotiate numbers with an agreement and a transfer of money. Apparently there are issues at this dealership.Clearly the email states what I was interested in and what the price was. I was even approved through Subaru Finance up to a certain amount on a WRX STI. I highly recommend to work with other dealers in the area. Don't waste your time here. Bait and Switch? they will do what it takes to get you in. They will quote you a price and then try to sell you the same car for more. I checked the website, they have no WRX's for sale at the price of 32700.00. As of today 11/05/2014, 2 wrx's at 27,739. and 2 STI's 36,257 and 40,358. I attempted to call this dealership and asked for the owner and/ or the General Manager. I spoke with Mr. Casey, whom I thought was the owner? His attitude was like oh well people make mistakes. Besides we sell cars above 3500 above MRSP. After researching, I think he may have been one of the sales managers. In short don't buy cars here. This place is a STEALERESHIP and out of all the dealerships I have done business with in the past 30years, this is by far the worst group ever.

He exceeded every prior car purchasing experience I have ever had.Being from Kentucky, I did not expect to buy a car on a weekend getaway. The prior week I had my dream car sold out from under me. The 2015 Subaru BRZ Special Edition Blue Series is simply unforgettable, so I called from our hotel to see if they, by chance, had one. They did! Amir made sure I knew all the options of this sweet ride before we signed the papers. Perhaps he will come to Louisville and show them how to do it right?!

I had been on the websites of all the local (within 50 miles)Subaru Dealerships looking for the right car. I did not want a lot of bells and whistles and I was looking at an Imprezza I bought an Subaru Imprezza Sport from Casey last week. The sales representative I worked with was Felix Garcia. I went in to test drive an Imprezza a week before the purchase and liked it. I did some more research about other cars on my comparison list but decided that I liked the Imprezza. I used True-Car to estimate the purchase price and Felix was very helpful in assisting me with that and several criteria that were on my list. He even changed his day off to assist with the purchase. The process was quicker than any other car purchase I have experienced. From the time I walked in on purchase day to leaving was 11/2 hours. GREAT Experience.....That 11/2 hour also included Felix setting up the Bluetooth in the car and showing me how to use it, the radio buttons and other safety features. And I love the car.

Amanda, Jeff, Travis and Joel made the purchase of a new car fun with no sales pressure tactics.Amanda set-up two personalized appointments with Jeff to look at the models available and test drive. Very friendly and professional. Jeff worked with my wife and myself for 3 days with test drives and reviewing the options available. We decided on Legacy but the model and features we wanted were not available in our area or at another dealer as determined by an extensive search by Travis. We decided to order the car from the factory and Amanda made making the transaction very easy in a friendly and professional manner. The car arrived on a Saturday and the dealer delivered the car within 24 hours. Excellent service. Amanda called us on a Sunday afternoon with the good news. Joel worked with us on the delivery and insured the car was prepped and ready. He also spent a good bit of time showing us features and getting the initial settings for the blue tooth, Audio system, and Nav ready to go.I highly recommend this dealership if you are interested in a New or used car.

Pretty much sold on Subaru before visiting but wasn't going to buy on first trip. After getting their "best" price, I was ready to walk out the door when the sales manager cut $1,000 off the price. This, after I stressed to all that I wanted their best shot one time. Oh well... Jeff Neise was our salesman and he was friendly and knowledgeable without being pushy or needy. Phill Zollos did a great job accommodating our questions, and he was very patient while we went through our thought process, even though we felt we did all of our homework. Shopped around on a special order Forester and Casey did an exceptional job of handling all of my questions and meeting all of my requirements. Casey is 30 miles from me and I drove past 2 Subaru dealers to buy from them. Jessica Pearce of the internet sales team was especially helpful, very responsive, extremely friendly and able to quickly find the answer to any question. Went into Casey Subaru not expecting to buy a car! i was a 2006 WRX owner so if i did buy anything it was going to be another WRX. I was greeted very promptly upon arrival. Daniel was very friendly and was all about getting me the best deal. he didnt pressure me what so ever which made me feel good. took a car out for a spin and automatically fell in love! i need to have the car. i needed to get a specific price for my old car in order for me to be able to purchase the new one. they offered me 3000 over what i was asking for it which inside made me pretty darn happy. they started to work up all the numbers for me and it went very quick for us to come to a final agreement on everything. then it came time to get all the warranties in place for my new car!!! i dealt with Dana on this part of the purchase of my new car! she was beyond nice and dumbed everything down for me! for future buyers, careful she talks really fast!! she gave me a great deal and has kept up to her word of making sure i can take care of my car and make sure its always looking super shiny and nice! All in all this dealsrship is fantastic!!! i live an hour and a half away from the dealship and travel to them anytime i need something. i pass two other subaru dealerships to get to Casey Subaru and i am glad that i went to this dealership. its a shame that i will be moving back to the west coast in just a few months!! i am forever thankful for all the help everyone has given me and continued to give me! We had to leave (and weren't ready to buy) but when I came back after starting the buying process online, I made a point of reconnecting. We just bought a VW Tiguan from this dealership and we are very pleased! The experience was smooth and painless!! Our salesmen were David Ratcliff and Phillip Zollos. Both were very knowledgable about the car and ready to make us happy in our new car! James Burley and Travis Wynn made the car buying experience great! Dana Beaudry talked us through the paint and fabric protection plan. I'm happy we went with it! When I went back to have the paint and fabric done Dana had a courtesy car waiting for us and we dropped off the new car and went on with our day. When our new car was done and we picked it up Dana explained everything to us. She went over the car with a fine tooth comb and it was perfect. We are very pleased with Casey Volkswagon!!!! I came in on Saturday Morning with the hopes of purchasing a vehicle. Mr Morrell was the first sales agent that approached me about purchasing a vehicle. He asked me what type of vehicle I wanted. After taking some credit information and finding out what type of I could afford we went to look at vehicle. He showed me a 2009 Pontiac G6 after quick test drive and some paperwork I was driving home in my new car. Everyone that I talked too was professional and very friendly. I have visited other dealerships where typically the salesmen were not friendly and just wanted to get a sale. When I visited Casey I was immediately greeted and I had the pleasure of working with Phillip who was very respectful and friendly. Phillip was very helpful in showing me several cars that he thought best fit my interests. Unlike my other experiences, I did not feel rushed or pressure in making a decision.

I visited multiple car dealerships to evaluate where I could get the best deal for a Volkswagen and Casey Volkswagen Subaru I found the best pricing. When I visited the other dealers the salesmen treated me poorly. They just wanted me to spend more money for less of a car. I did not have high standards for car dealerships until I visited Casey Volkswagen Subaru. I had the pleasure of working with Phillip who was very respectful and friendly. I was immediately greeted with kindness at Casey Volkswagen Subaru and it was refreshing! After telling Phillip the type of car that I was interested in, he was able to show me several cars that all fit my personality and criteria. The entire time he did not rush me to make a decision and wanted me to find the right fit for me. He was able to direct me to many Volkswagen cars that fit my criteria and price range. He was not manipulative like the other dealers that I visited in the same weekend. I am very thankful to Casey Volkswagen Subaru for their great staff and their business! I love my Volkswagen Jetta!

I recently bought a 2015 Subaru STI from Casey Subaru as a returning customer. I traded a WRX which I bought from them back in 2011. I titled this review "A Very Good Experience" because that accurately describes the situation of my buying a car. I went to the dealership just to look but I left with a car that I like very much mostly because I really like the Subaru Forester (this is my 4th one), but also because of the way in which the sales associate, David Ratcliff, treated me. What really struck me was that he didn't treat me condescendingly because I'm a woman, something that has happened in the past. He also did not use high pressure tactics; he gave me time to make up my own mind at the same time that he presented the reasons why the 2015 Subaru Forester was such a good buy. Finally, he very patiently (and, again, not in a condescending manner) explained how some of the newer features work on the car. I never think of buying a car as a "great" experience, but this occasion came very close. I give the dealership and the sales associate very high marks for all of the above reasons.

I made it clear I had already found a great price elsewhere. We went inside to get brochures. He introduced me to Travis. Travis offered me a deal that was *almost* as good as the Internet guy, within $250, without me disclosing my other price. That was close enough for me to stay in town! I still shopped around to keep my options open. I returned two days later and bought a Jetta TDI w/Premium. The price was well below invoice and then dropped another $750 due to a VW promotion. One of their nearby competitors' prices was still $850 higher than Casey even though try tried to fudge some numbers to make their price look lower. They said, "I'm only making $100 on this sale... If Casey really can [do what you say], then go there and buy the car." Thanks for the advice, CFVW! I was so impressed with the car that I bought ANOTHER Jetta TDI w/Premium from Phillip two weeks later and enjoyed an additional $500 off for a Memorial Day promotion. In short, the sales team there was very friendly, helpful and overly courteous. No matter how informal I was, they never missed a "Sir," "Thank you," or any of the other courtesies we seem to be slowly losing in society today. Some websites suggest I could've gotten a slightly better deal. But they all say I got a good deal. Casey made some money and I got great prices on two outstanding cars. The 0.9% financing on each car has me paying less for each car than I did for a much more expensive Passat ten years ago. So I'm happy!

My wife and I decided to take advantage of the Memorial Day sales to start shopping for a new car. We started at Casey Subaru to test drive the Crosstrek. We were promptly greeted by Joel who showed us all of the cars that would fit our needs. It was truly a no pressure sales atmosphere. Joel was attentive without being intrusive. He was knowledgeable and helpful. Joel patiently waited while I tinkered with my iPhone to decide on the price I was willing to pay. He even offered to let me use his computer so that I would get the best deal possible. We traded a vehicle in as well and the dealership was very up front and forward and offered a very fair deal. We are very pleased with the new car and the car buying experience we had.

I came in for a test drive last minute on MOTHER'S DAY, service and negotiation where so easy and accommodating, I left with my brand new car about 3 hours later. David Ratcliff was very attentive, Travis Wynn made sure all the banking was good to go and James Burley made the signing the easiest I've gone through so far. I've owned 8 vehicles by now and this was by far the best customer service experience I've ever had. I would recommend these guys any day!

I love my new 2014 Passat!!! David Ratcliff was the first one to approach me extremely friendly and helpful even though I kept disappearing on him when he would turn his head to show me another car, but he kept up with me!!! The experience with Casey Volkswagen was the best I have had thus far in car purchasing a great staff from David, Dana and James they deserve the highest recommendation for being an awesome team. David was patient, knowledgeable, friendly and just an all around good guy, when in the market to purchase another vehicle preferably a Volkswagen I would definitely choose Casey Volkswagen and have David as my go to guy. I purchased a 2014 Volkswagen Passat from Joel Morancy in April of 2014, I have to honestly say that this was the most pleasant sale ever. I was in the market for a used Jetta when Joel recommended the Passat I tought that it was truly out of my price range. I would recommend this gentleman in a heartbeat. From the beginning there was no pressure what so ever. I came with my USAA certificate and not only was my price honored, the sales manager Travis rolled out the red carpet for me by going out of his way to get me approved from wells fargo financing. I shopped around at Southern VW, Checkered Flag and Greenbrier VW they would run my Credit 15+ and brought my score down by almost 20 points and had the nerve to ask me to bring a Co-signer. Even after that Casey still got me approved. So if you are in the market for a new Subaru or Volkswagen definitely check out what Joel can do for you before you go somewhere else. I have purchaced 2 vehicles from casey last year. My last purchase was a VW. My experiance with sales was easy once all was said and done. However I did take my car in for warrranty work and while my car was in there care someone in service found it was a smart idea to park my car under a dead tree during a wind storm. Shane in the service department explained to me that he knew the tree was dead. Long story short Casey is not taking responsability for my car being damaged under there care. I took my car in for in an oil change and got it back damaged. Absolutly no-body was helpful to me. and now i am left to fix the mess that Casey VW has made. Needless to say its that time of the year again were i am looking to purchase another car and Casey will not be getting my business anymore. Thanks again for lowering the value of my car.

In May 2012 I bought a used Mini from Casey. I paid too much (but I loved the car and I needed transportation). This car is a lemon. I have invested time and money (almost $8K) in getting it functioning...new transmission, new exhaust, new window motor, new tires, new brakes...what hasn't been repaired? It is now in the shop again with an undiagnosed problem...requiring pulling the engine for $600+. What do I want? What anyone expects: a reliable vehicle. Give me what I owe and I will never darken your door again. Oh...and don't do this to anyone else.I know it is a good dealership and my experience is unique...I just wish they would make this right.

Called to get a quote so I could compare prices. I was told on the phone that they would match Pences quote of 26900 WITH processing fee included and the only things that were not was tax and tags even though they'd have to get car from other dealer. I walked in and it took 2 hours to get a price, they matched the 26900 but they added a 895 fee for getting the car a 549 fee for processing along with a couple other smaller "fees". When I asked about it they said that wasn't what they said on phone, even though if had asked 3 times to make sure there was no confusion. They also vastly under valued my trade, they offered 500 for my car and I've been quoted 1700 and 1750 at two other dealers. So while they "matched" the price at 26900 they tried to get 2550 back with bad trade and fees. Do yourself a favor take the drive up to Pence and talk to Brent. The price when I got there was EXACTLY what he told me on phone and no hidden fees....

I have been to other service departments and I will return to Casey's due to the honesty and quality of work done on my vehicle, if something is wrong they talk it thru with me and there is always a plan of care for up coming maintenance . I drive approximately an hour one way to get to their service dept. I made the mistake of taking my car to a dealer that was closer to home and the work done to my car was done poorly and it took two trips to get the work done correctly. I recently purchased a used 2003 VW Passat from this dealership on December 31, 2013. Overall, I am 100% UNSATISFIED with my experience and will NEVER recommend this dealership to anyone!! I was jerked around with the price of the vehicle, lied to about the status of the car, shuffled from employee to employee, and today was the ultimate topping to this disaster. I bought the car on December 31, 2013 and the state inspection sticker was good. The sticker was dated 10/2014. The check engine light was on and I demanded the light be explained and accounted for before purchasing the car. I was told it was an intermittent misfire and I have not had any problems since with that issue. I then decided to purchase the vehicle and finalized the process. I went back today, 1/25/14 to pick up my permanent plates and also inquire about having a state inspection done as my parents and I thought that there was a law that ALL dealerships in Virginia must inspect the car before/when selling it. However, I did find out, it must only be a current sticker. Please correct me if I am wrong in that aspect. Travis Wynn said it was no problem, since they do lifetime state inspections, that he would give me a free inspection today and to go ahead to the service center. I took my car to the service center and waited for at least 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once Trish or Tish, from the service center came back after the inspection she said, "You're gonna need new tires or it's gonna get rejected and your brakes are at 20% and will need to be replaced within the next month to month and a half." Honestly, I was blown away as my inspection sticker was done in October 2013. So I told Trish or Tish that I needed to go speak with someone upfront. I told them my concern and that my tires still have tread and when sticking a penny in the tread, the head on the penny is covered. Travis Wynn then said, "Have a seat and I'll check on this issue for you." After waiting another 10-15 minutes, Travis came back up front and said, "You understand that this vehicle was sold as-is, correct?", I agreed. He continued, "So, it looks like your brakes will pass but because you have put 700 miles on the car since you bought it, you are gonna need new tires. We can go half on the tires for you." This really lit me up at this point. At this time it was 11:00am and we had been there for almost 2 hours. I told Travis I did not have the money right now, half priced or full price and told him I was going to look at my car. This is when I tried putting the penny in the tread and again was baffled at the fact they said my tires would not pass. Also, I have the inspection certification from the state inspection done at Casey BMW on 10/11/2013 by Kevin M. Agee. The Odometer reading was 127063. The right front and right rear tires were inspected during this inspection and reported as O.K. Between the car being driven in test drives and the 700 miles I put on the vehicle, there is no way the tires could not pass this inspection, only a few months later and less than 1,000 miles later. I am also very upset with the fact that I was lied to and told that the brakes would not not pass and then 10 minutes later told they would. The lying and dishonesty at this dealership is ridiculous. Throughout this whole process, I never believed a word any employee said to me. Daniel Gardner was very helpful and was truthful with me through the whole process. James Burley was not helpful at all and just wanted to "wrap it up" as he said, not even checking to see if I had test driven the car as I had not. I only worked with Travis today and Steve Jernigan was very helpful with the paperwork and finalizing the purchase as well as giving me ALL the appropriate forms and copies I needed and answering any questions I had. Also, one of your service mechanics at Casey VW, Reyes, was very helpful and honest. I am very unhappy with the way I was treated throughout this whole process. I am a 20 year old female and I feel I was taken advantage of during this whole process. I realize that I am purchasing an uncertified used vehicle, however, I am still a customer and bringing my money to your dealership regardless of how much the purchase price is on the vehicle I am interested in. Your employees made it very clear that I was not as important as the people purchasing higher priced cars. The only reason I purchased the car, despite the rude and dishonest employees, was because the car was "the one". I WILL NEVER return to this dealership as I refuse to be taken advantage of. I will be sure to NEVER recommend Casey VW to any friends, family members, or people throughout Hampton Roads. This dealership needs to be more professional, respectful, and honest in order to progress and thrive.

After initially visiting and receiving a very reasonable offer for our trade, and a very good offer on pricing for a 2014 wrx, we returned three days later ready to purchase. After receiving an excellent credit score the original numbers had changed drasctically. Unwilling to honor their original figures we left in dismay. Not only do we feel misled but we have also researched and discovered that this dealership is the only subaru dealer in the hampton roads area to add a $5000 adjusted market value markup as well.

I had no intentions of purchasing a vehicle. I merely wanted to show a friend the vehicle that I was interested in. As soon as I approached the lot, we were welcomed by Elvis. Went for a test drive and no pressure at all. Nothing about financing or a trade, just a simple test drive where I actually chose the route without having to argue about where and how I wanted to test the vehicle. Elvis made his attempts to close the sale as I declined each time. He then allowed for us to take it home, and we did. Unfortunately, the vehicle that I wanted wasn't available. When we returned the next day, Elvis was able to order the exact car. Two days later, it arrived. This was the simplest car buying experience and was very impressed with the treatment. The real experience was when I gave the loaner back and my vehicle was washed, waxed with plates already on it. All I had to do was sign. It took me longer to learn about the car than completing the paperwork. Just hit 1 week of owning the vehicle and have received 4 calls from the dealership just to check-in. Great service!!!! If you're going to get a Subaru, go see Elvis! He's a wealth of knowledge!!! Love my 2014 Indigo Blue w/Saddle Brown Leather!

I just purchased a 2014 outback subaru from Elvis and the experience was above what I expected. Elvis made sure that Casey got the exact vehicle that I wanted and within 24 hours, they had one in their possession. They had no problem matching the USAA pricing and that was great!! Elvis took his time and made sure that all of my questions were answered and made went over the navigation and blue tooth set up. Elvis is a down to earth type of guy and was a pleasure doing business with him and look forward to purchasing my next subaru from him.

I should start by saying that this was my first time at the Casey Subaru dealership. After having a 15,000 mile service done on my 2013 Subaru Outback, it was brought to our attention that they had left an oil filter wrench found on top of our radiator and we had been driving around with it for a week. We were astounded to find that they left a tool under our hood. I called to speak to someone and they suggested that I speak to Ed Colton, the service manager. She informed me that Ed said that he would call be back in a few minutes. I have never heard back from him and it's been over a week, I called back 2 other times and have been given the run around. I found the customer service to be severely lacking and that they take absolutely no care or pride in taking care of their customers. It also took an extremely lengthy amount of time to pick up our car and to pay, I should mention that it was not busy. While Warren was very friendly, it does not come close to making a difference in my overall impression. I will never return to Casey Subaru due to the lack of professionalism exhibited from Ed Colton. I found this to be the worst customer service experience that I've ever had at a dealership.

The staff, particularly Elvis (can't remember his last name), was helpful and really worked with us to get a good price and financing. There was no pushiness, though you can always expect to bargain.

This dealership is a bunch of crooks. I am in the process of finding a Subaru BRZ. I contracted several dealerships in the MD and VA area. The car I was researching has an MSPRP of around $29,000. I had been received quotes from $26,000 to $28,000 from dealerships in the MD and VA Area. I received a quote from Casey Subaru for $35,802. I inquired why they how the price of a $29,000 vehicle get up to $36,000. I was informed by Kait Morrow "This is our addendum price which is what we list the car as simply because of low supply and high demand."This dealership is pricing the vehicle $7000 above MSPRP and almost $10,000 above their competition. I could understand paying full sticker for the vehicle when it was first released. However, a year later with many sitting on lots charging MSPRP, let alone $7000 above, is bad business practice.If you are shopping in the MD/VA area I highly recommend you contact a few other dealerships. You will be surprised at the superior pricing and customer service you will receive.

I took my 2013 subaru in for its 15,000 mile scheduled maintenance. I was told it involved an oil change and filter, tire rotation, and replace the a/c cabin air filter. I declined the a/c filter because of cost (quoted approx. $50). When I checked on subaru.com to see what the 15,000 mile maintenance included, there was no mention of the a/c cabin air filter . I was reminded again at checkout that I should have it done, that the filter was most likely very dirty. The car was bought new in November 2012! Also the receipt showed a courtesy wash. They sprayed it with water, it was still covered with bugs and dirt. The interior was not cleaned at all. Another dealer in the area always completely washed the outside and vacuumed the interior. My teenage son can do a much better job washing my car even when he doesn't want to!

This dealership is excellent! When I came in, Elvis walked me through the leasing process, and I wound up getting a brand new Jetta within my budget. The entire staff was attentive and friendly. I had been to numerous car dealerships throughout the week, and I was tired of the used car salesman games. After dealing with Mr. Elvis and Mr. Steve, I felt confident in my purchase rather than suckered into something. I will certainly return to Casey Volkswagen Subaru in the future.

Outstanding service as always! I want to thank him and Ed Colton, Service Manager, for putting their heads together and suggesting a cost effective solution for my 2000 (13-year old) VW Jetta. Because of the excessive damage and repair costs, I was about to give up and just sell my car to the junkyard. I probably would have gotten only $200-$300. My vehicle repair history in their system, should reflect the amount of money I've already spent on this vehicle. Because of that, I didn't want to just "trash it" (give it away to a junkyard). I felt that since I didn't want a car note/paymens, I would take a chance and have my Jetta repaired. After all the repairs were completed, now I know what's been done to the vehicle, especially with another engine from the junkyard, having 75,000, versus 136,00 miles on it. Again, thanks to Cory and Ed for their assistance. Now, I feel much more at ease/piece-of-mind, driving my 13-year old car.

I literally stopped by the dealership just to get some numbers for future reference when I wanted to buy a car. Once in the lot Joel immediately made sure he greeted us and found out what I was looking for. I admit, I had a tough situation. I wanted a newer car but only wanted to pay about 200-250 in payments. Joel made it happen!!! To my surprise he worked some numbers and got me down to a number I was comfortable with. Even worked out a payment plan on my tags. I've NEVER been to a dealership that works so hard to make sure they keep their customers happy. They aren't black and white and seem to deal with customers on a case by case basis. If you are looking for a new car I highly recommend Joel. He's really personable and a man of his word. That means a lot.

My Husband stopped in one day to test drive a new BRZ for me. I went up and as soon as I sat in it, I knew I didn't like it. We started to talk to Elvis if they had any Jeeps because that was my dream car. We found a Wrangler, and it just didn't work out for a number of reasons. I asked them if they had any other Jeeps, and they didn't have anymore that I wanted on the lot. We took a few days to look at the entire Casey Auto Group inventory and found my Dream Jeep. We gave Travis a call and within I'd say about an a little less than an hour he had Elvis go pick it up from another lot and we were test driving it that night. They do really live up to the commercials that they will help you get a car into your budget. They helped out a lot with the negative equity in our previous car and got our intrest rate and payment almost to the dot on what we wanted it to be. Travis and Elvis are the best, very friendly and they do take care of their customers. If you are in that time where you need a new or even used car, give them a try first and I bet they'll surpass all your expectations.

However, being a smart consumer, I had done my research and was prepared for a fast talking salesperson. From the minute I met Elvis, I was treated with respect and professionalism. My Wife and I stopped by Casey Volkswagen/Subaru on a whim. We were looking at the new BRZs. Long story short we ended up looking at a couple Jeeps. The first one just didn't fit our budget, but Elvis and Travis didn't just give up on us. They went beyond what we would expect from a normal dealer and helped us find my Wife's DREAM CAR! They located it at another dealership right next to closing hours and had us meet them at theirs and we did the test drive right there. My Wife fell in love with it, and then came the paperwork. They do live up to their commercials on the radio and fit that car in our budget, even with the negative equity we had on our previous car. There was a very minor thing that we wanted fixed, they had us sign a I guess you could call a fix sheet and ordered us the part right then and there during the paperwork process. Elvis and Travis are awesome, if you are looking for a Volkswagen/Subaru or any new or used car I would definitely recommend them. They are the friendliest, most productive dealership I've been to since moving here. That is a rare find these days. If you don't think you can afford the car of your dreams and they have it go talk to Elvis and Travis, they will make it work for you.

I purchased my car here and they were great. They helped me with the warranty process on my fabric and bent over backwards to help me get it honored in North Carolina. I ended up getting the work completed in Virginia by them when visiting there because the dealer in NC was horrible! Casey made time available for me cause I was only going to be in for one of the days that they were open. They are awesome!

I want to begin by saying Ken King was an amazing sales person. Additionally, the incidence i describe isn't one I have ever had happen to me before at this dealership. they're actually a great place! They just need different sales managers and to clean house. As I have already mentioned, Ken was an amazing salesperson, and this response has absolutely nothing to do with him. Shoot, he did such a fine job, I have purchased two cars from him in one week! I did, however, have an unexpected, bad experience with some other employees. Eddie G and the sales manager almost lost a guaranteed sale. Honestly, I've only ever seen rookies make that mistake. These men were seeking to train Ken, when it should have been the other way around.We found our car! I LOVED it and we were filling out paperwork when Eddie G came and took said keys to test drive the car WE were BUYING! I couldn't believe someone could be so rude, I was actually struck into shocked silence.. It was incredibly rude and unprofessional. I am a professional saleswoman by trade, and literally couldn't believe what I was seeing.We were in the middle of the sale. I had a check from USAA out, I was just waiting for numbers. Ken knew not to lowball me, I had been upfront with him and he me this whole time. I was ready to sign the check as soon as we had come to an agreement on trade; then, his sales manager (James) comes sauntering up with a ridiculously low number and two thousand ABOVE MSRP! What a jerk! I was born in the AM, but it wasn't this one. Having shared my opinion of said number, and packed everything up to leave, he decided he had miscalculated. What an idiot. For a sales manager, he sure goofed some key basics of Selling 101. Read body posture. In no way was our body posture tense, hurried, or ready to leave. Number two: llook at the desk. We had a check out, with a pen on top of it, with trade on the side. Number three: try not to let body language show condescension. This guy had the body language of an undertaker trying to sell pre-planning. Although we knew we would have to talk to him at some point, we weren't prepared when he offered 6,000 less than our car blue booked for! Essentially, he took a sure, haggle little on trade, to an iffy, haggle a lot, sale. Ken's "helper" almost tanked him.I want to reiterate, Ken King is a good man and I'd send my own mother to buy a car from him, I'd let my child buy a car from him! He treats you like a human being, and he's fair. He takes his time with you to find what suits you best, and I just can't say enough about him personally and as a sales person.Remember, if you see the blonde haired sales manager with the gap in his teeth (James), he's a total snake oil salesman. He's going to offer significantly less than your car is worth on Bluebook, and they're going to make a significant amount of money on it. Additionally, he's going to offer you a price on the new car well above MSRP. Don't do this!! Sales people always leave themselves room to drop. Chances are, there's about 10% play on the trade (depending on the car). Go after that money and refuse to pay higher than MSRP. In fact, you should never pay more than MSRP on ANYTHING! That's like paying more for a shirt than what is stated on the tag. Go see Ken King, he's great! He'll take great care of you! Additionally, their service team is fabulous (I had a Volkswagen before this one)!!! Although I ripped sales management apart, don't use that as a measure of this dealership. For the most part they are awesome! Ken was amazing, my finance guy was fabulous, and you can't top the service technicians. I have wonderful experiences here, except for one isolated experience.

Go see Joel! I had a horrible experience with another dealership and then I went to see Joel at Casey Subaru. I was pleasantly surprised. I have always been a little nervous of big dealerships. From the minute I walked into the door he put me at ease. Joel listened to me and found a car that fit exactly what I wanted. Went to Casey to just look. Fell in love the Jetta I purchase from a very nice and knowledgeable young salesman. After finding just about everything on the vehicle I was looking for, I purchase not one but 2 cars. I then bought a VW Bug for my son. The personell were helpful and friendly. I've taken the Jetta for it's follow-up service and met more nice Customer Service employees. May go back just to visit and would definitely buy another vehicle from Casey.

I spent quiet some time researching Subaru cars and finally decided to go and test them. Ran into Joel Morancy, very friendly, no pressure salesman at Casey Subaru in Hampton Roads. The man new those Subarus from the inside out. I felt very comfortable with Joel. I decided on an 2013 Outback. The transactions was very easy and comparing it with other dealers, not very long. But, what actually impress me the most was the after purchase follow up. Checking on me, on how the car was running, and if I had any questions about the car. Great job!

Read through the reviews here -- and pay attention to the negative ones. These guys are clowns. Several reviews reference USAA car buying service and customers being told Casey honors the Target price generated by USAA - since they are a "certified USAA dealership" (not for much longer). Once you get into the dealership - they immediately back away from what you were told on the phone. I was actually stunned at the game! I thought the sleazy, lying car salesmen schtick died a long time ago -- nope, they all just moved into this dealership.I called USAA, told them I've been a member for 30 years and was embarrased this place is associated with USAA. I'm not even going to waste time reviewing Travis...one look at the little smug smirk will tell you all you need to know. Go somewhere else.

My wife and I were looking for a new car to replace a 2001 Jeep Cherokee. We used the USAA car buying service that recommended Casey VW/Subaru. We were specifically interested in the Crosstrek XV. They did not have one in stock at the moment, but said they would call us as soon as one arrived. They were true to their word. The one that arrived was a manual. We drove the manual version, but decided that the automatic would be preferable. They said they would call us when the automatic arrived. It took a little over a week, so they called mid-week to check in on our car buying status and let us know that they hadn't forgotten us. We very very busy the following week, so they scheduled a test drive for the week after. After the test drive, we were sold. We entered into sales negotiations, and we surprised at how straightforward and easy to work with everyone on the staff was. Ken was a polite salesman and very knowledgeable about the vehicles. He was proactive and always true to his word. Overall we had a exceptional car shopping experience.

I had the most amazing buying experience ever! Russel Musnick, the GM was fantastic! These guys went out of their way, literally, to help me out. I live in Virginia Beach (45 min away) and needed to buy a car because the engine on my car died. James, a professional and pleasant sales associate, showed up at my front door to take me back to the dealership. This would be great in itself, but it was at 7pm when everyone else would want to go home for the night. I didn't have the "best credit" to say the least. I prepared myself to "settle" for a car that I liked, but didn't love. These guys went out of their way to get me into a car that I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! Thank You Russell, James, and everyone else that was so Good to me. I am a single woman and typically feel "cautious" when dealing with car dealerships! These guys are honest and professional! They took a typically stressfull experience and turned it into a pure JOY! They are a full service dealer. I left that night, driving my new car home. I haven't stopped smiling!

Although the salesman Amir was courteous and friendly, the manager Travis was an arrogant and rude individual who should show a completely different approach towards successful professional older individuals such as myself and my wife. We would never return to this dealership no matter how good the deal is and will put the word out to our 1000 or so circle of friends to avoid this place like the plague due to the utmost rudeness, pressure and all around uncomfortable feeling while at this place. They are not even courtesy enough to return phone calls or emails simply stating 'he we can't do this deal but thank you so much for stopping by and allowing us to help you'. This is what I would expect from a dealership trying to make the CUSTOMER happy and feel welcome and not feel like a burden or waste of time. Had they done this simple feat, hey they never thought we might actually return in the future and do business but now they completely threw it all away and will continue to do so. I am frugal but do have enough money to buy 10 cars outright if I wanted to but they would never get the chance! Absolutely the worst of the worst dealers in Hampton Roads by far and they should be ashamed of themselves to be advertising on WNIS!!!

Let me tell you about Casey Volkswagen Subaru, they got me financed on a 2010 Volkswagen Jetta when the best car any other dealer in town could offer me was OLDER THAN 2002!!!!!!They also wanted upwards of 2-4 thousand dollars down from me. Casey approved me with zero money down on the car! Not only that but the vehicle came with a 2 year 100,000 mile warranty with NO ADDITIONAL COST!!!I am so happy that I was finally being treated like a CUSTOMER and not just a number based on my credit score that I feel people should know about it. We spend so much time focusing on when businesses screw up that we forget to give praise when needed. Casey has earned that praise from me and my family with truly exceptional service. Thank you Casey for all your help and please keep it up!!!!!

Our initial visit to this dealership was great. The staff, Amir and James, were polite and helpful. We test drove two vehicles and then told them we definitely wanted to buy a vehicle, but needed a day or so to figure out which one we wanted and right time to buy given our recent arrival. We told them we definitely were going to buy a vehicle which you would have thought would have sealed the deal for them and kept them interested. Unfortunately, it all went downhill from there. After running some inquiries through our bank on different models and pricing, we could never get them to contact us again. I contacted them several times with promises of returned phone calls concerning the Jetta TDI Premium we were interested but it never happened. They always promised a phone call back in 20 minutes or so but it never happened. I would call them back after a couple hours and the same routine would go on. I can't believe a customer has to work that hard to try and buy a vehicle. One would hope it would have been the other way around. Also, in between calls to Amir, I discussed the situation with Kristi from internet sales, who was sympathetic to the situation, but didn't fix it. Super frustrating! It blows my mind that they wouldn't respond to a guaranteed sale. Gave up and went to Checkered Flag VW in Virginia Beach and bought a vehicle within a couple hours. That's right, I drove 30 miles to a different VW dealer that was amazing. Sorry, Casey VW, you lost my sale, and any recommendations I would have given to others!

By far one of the easiest and most professional car buying experiences I've ever had. I was promptly greeted by Ryan soon after I pulled into the dealership and he was friendly and knowledgable. In a matter of 2 hours we were able to get my car appraised, select the right vehicle for me and complete the negotiation and paperwork. The finance manager Jeremy was also friendly and professional and was able to customize a comprehensive warranty to fit my 20,000 mile/year driving habits as well as getting me a great deal on my loan. We went to 3 dealers and wow how different each one is. The most honest one is Casey vw. Joe made this the best buying experience I ever had. I have owned 5 vw. All bought on the south side. If I did not like the brand so much I would have given up . I am glad I did not. The guys and girls in Newport news know how to treat people. From joe, to finance just a great buying experience . I Evan got a call from my old dealer while I was with Joe offering a better price. They should not have treated me like I did not matter. Casey will provide a loaner to me so I am not inconvenienced for the drive. They will bring my car to me when the work is done. All I can say is if you want to deal with good people go there and see Joe . I never write about my experience . I thought it was worthy of doing it this time.

I went to the dealership knowing, exactely what I wanted. When I talked to a sales rep (Elvis) he did not waste my time tryin to convince me to buy anything else. After he looked in the system and saw that they didn't have what I was looking for we did some quick paperwork and got my car on order. Despite their computer systems being down, they were in contact with me every step of the way letting me know what was going on with my order. They ended up calling my one day after work letting me know my car came in early and would be ready to pick up within the hour. Afer a quick trip to the dealer, Elvis helped me get everything set up on my end (Insurance, and the Loan) making calls to the insurance and giving them my info while I filled paperwork out. When he handed me the phone everything was allready done and all I had to decide was wether I wanted to accept the insurance rate or not. I ended up getting thirsty while I was filling out some of the paperwork and when I asked where the water fountain was they were very friendly and ended up giving me a bottle of water. The staff was also very personable and struck up converstaion with me, helping to break up some of the waiting that had to be done because the computers were down and they were doing everything via paperwork. After everything was done Elvis went over the car features with me to make sure that I understood everything before I drove off. Elvis ended up giving me his personal cell number and said "feel free to call anytime you have a question or anything" AFTER the deal was done. So he was not simply saying this just to get me to come back to the dealership, he actually wanted to make sure that I was a fully satified customer.

Me and my husband Came in to look at some Outbacks we originally wanted new but ken saved us a ton of money by telling us about used ones that they offered from there loaner fleet that was still a basically brand new 2012 Outback. Ken was very knowledgeable about all the cars they offered and really seamed like he kept our best interest in mind throughout the entire process and even though my husband was in a wheelchair at the time we test drove several cars to find the perfect one and ken never mined and even helped out the best he could with a smile the entire time. I would definitely recommend to anyone that needs car to go see ken or anyone at casey vw and subaru for that matter. The entire sales department was the nicest and most help full people we have dealt with when buying a car

When you think of your stereotypical dirt bag car dealer, you are pretty much summing up some of the salesman at Casey Volkswagen of Newport News. The worst offender appears to be Steve the sales manager, who not only couldnt tell the truth, or keep his stories straight, but as manager appeared to be setting the tone and culture of the business at Casey to some very low standards. I drove to Casey of NN to look at two cars that Steve claimed to have on the lot and ready for me to test drive, but when I got there, the cars he claimed to have where nowhere to be found. He really didnt offer any apologizes for wasting my time driving in, but only tried to push me on some other cars he did have on the lot. The old bait-and-switch tactic. His attitude was egregious, like he was doing me some huge favor by letting me try and buy a car from him. By far worst car dealer experience ever!!!

My worst dealership experience by far. I had been searching for a 2012/2013 Subaru WRX for a few weeks doing research in the D.C. area. I have been looking at cars for a few months and finally decided on the WRX. I contacted Casey Subaru due to they were one of the few dealerships that had the WRX in the color and options I was looking for. Everything seemed to be going great. They sent me pricing information on the WRX and I had agreed to put a deposit on the car. The deposit was $1000 refundable after they had to do me a "favor" and make it refundable, every other dealership only wanted $500 and said it's always refundable. I asked the girl I was dealing with if they honored USAA pricing or ZAG pricing (truecar.com) after noticing they were a dealership listed and she stated yes, that was the USAA price (which it wasn't) but figured I would work that out in person. So everything was good to go, I just had to drive the 2 and a half hours to change the price to USAA pricing, sign, and pick up the vehicle. I get there and met with the girl I had been working with and I mentioned the price of the vehicle and she stated that they would discuss it inside. I went inside only to be asked to pull up the price myself, after which the price was declined. They stated it was not offered on that vehicle. Why did you have me even pull up the price in the first place?! This is after the girl knew I would be buying the WRX, after the girl stated they honored USAA pricing, after I drove down to pick up the car. While getting the refund for my deposit the sales manager pulled me aside and asked what was told to me. I stated she texted me (which I have copies of) that you do honor USAA pricing and it was after she knew I would be purchasing the WRX, he still did nothing to try to honor the price or assist in purchasing the vehicle. I drove home and contacted her regarding the miscommunication. She stated that they would be willing to discount the car $350 if I was still willing to purchase. I figured I had already gone through the trouble of finding this and proceeded asking them to deliver via truck which was agreed. She contacted me the next day to state that it was to be driven and $100 dollars would be removed from the discount...alright fine, told her I didn't prefer them to drive but that's fine and agreed on a date. They canceled my delivery and asked me to drive down to go over paperwork... I said would like them to still deliver and I would have no issues as long as the paperwork was in order. I didn't hear back from them in days until the weekend when they stated I had somehow agreed to drive down that day which I did no such thing. No apologies, no sorry for the mix up, no how can we correct this. By far the worst dealership I have been to, I did not deal with one good person there. I spoke with the finance manager, two sales people, a secretary, a sales manager and some other manager who was less than apologetic. I strongly recommend going elsewhere, anywhere. A week after this I found multiple dealerships willing to work with me, honor USAA or ZAG pricing, and have much better service in the Northern Virginia/D.C./Maryland area. With 2 years of bad reviews I would think they would try to turn their image around.

This dealer has a program for people with poor credit so I went in and talk with the several salesman. The attitude of one was friendly, the others, not so much. They gave me an option of three vehicles to choose from that was through the program. I had a really good down payment but the cars available through the program was not what I expected. Anyhow, moving forward, I went ahead and test drove one, it wasnt the best but I felt good about it, especially being that Im purchasing from a Casey dealership. So we got paperwork done and so fourth. Its been a little over 3 months and I regret my purchase so much! I am having engine problems, alternator problems and other issues that coincides with those big things when they go bad. There was a warranty on my vehicle up to 100,000 miles ( 96,477 when I purchased the vehicle) but it does not cover engine, alternator repair! Yes, I knew what the warranty covered but honestly, I really didnt think I would be faced with engine and alternator problems 3 months of having it??? I contacted the dealership and spoke with Darrell and explained to him what happened and how Im very shocked and uphappy about the fact these things are going on 3 months of having it. Mind you, I havent even been out of town in this car, just normal work/home/store commute. So he listened but pretty much told me there was nothing he could do, I asked him if he could at least direct me in the right place to speak to someone who might be able to do something? He told me he would find out and I have not recieved a phone call, letter or anything from him or someone from the dealership to make sure my issue was appropriately addressed. How incompetent right? I called again and no reponse back. I just wanted them to try to make what was wrong right. I urge you to not go to this or any other casey dealership to purchase your car! They are one of the many dealerships out here that just wants to make a sale and forget you afterwards.

Great dealership! Mr. Petty (sales) produced my passat tdi as promised. All agreements were met and no extra cost surprises were added. The rest of management went out of their way for my needs. I you need a vw go here in the Virginia area. Best price and great dealership!

I called this dealer about a particular car (Audi Allroad) and told them my approx price range. After driving all the way there I test drove the car and it seemed good (except for a check-engine light) and I was interested in buying it. Amir showed me what he said were ALL the service records (just April 2012) and the Carfax which was clean.Amir is a pleasant salesman and we got to the stage of negotiating price but to justify his higher asking price he suddenly produced MORE service records - May, June, and July 2012 which revealed much more extensive work had been done on the car INCLUDING A NREPLACEMENT MOTOR!! I counted more than $5k of work had been done on it by the dealer.This it seemed was a little detail that Amir kept to himself and might not even have told me about if I had bought at this asking price !The number of miles on the replacement motor were not defined anywhere ( he claimed lower miles than the original but could not confirm).I have to say I was shocked and wonder what would have happened if I had agreed a higher price and then found out later about the replacement motor. I got the impression this was a lemon they wanted to get rid of.Part of the process of buying a car is based on reaching a level of TRUST with the dealer and the salesman. I would never trust this dealer again and would not recommend them to anyone.

I must admit, I've gone to Casey in the past and have not had the best experience; however, on this occasion I was very pleased. Amir was fantastic to work with and very helpful in answering any questions that I had. When it came to negotiating the price, I was able to do most of it via email with Amir, as I wanted to get all my pricing set before signing paperwork and then went in to complete the transaction with Travis the General Sales Manager. I received the pricing I wanted for the car I was buying and a very fair price for my trade in. What really impressed me was that they did not have the car that I wanted on the lot and had to go get from another dealer. They promised the car by Tuesday and went up on the prior Saturday, so I was able to come in on Sunday and get my new auto! The closing process was very seamless and I was out of the dealership with all paperwork signed and riding in my new GLI in about an hour!This is the 4th time I've purchased from Casey since 1988 and have been very pleased with the positive changes that are being made to attend to the customer. I do hope that people who might have had a bad experience in the past at least come back and give them a try. And when you do, speak with Amir!

My experience at Casey Subaru was great!!! Everyone there was friendly and did their best to make purchasing my new truck wonderful. Ken King was my sales person and he answered all the questions we had about the different vehicles on the lot and if he didnt have the answers he would go and find them for you. Caseys management team worked hard on getting me the trade in value I needed on my older car, and pulled together to get me in my new car. The finance team stepped in to help with financing even though I had brought my own and was able to find me a better deal. I would go back to this dealership for my next vehicle without hesitation and would recommend this dealership to even my closest friends, in fact I have.

I just bought my second vehicle from Casey Vw And Subaru and it was a very pleasant experience both times. Both times I went in the staff always had a smile on there face and where very patient with me when I wanted to test drive multiple vehicles.The sales managers and staff where also very helpful when it came to answering all my questions (And boy did I have a lot due to getting ripped off several years ago from another dealership). I bought from Amir the first time and Ryan the second. Both of these gentleman where courteous and showed nothing but concern for my needs. I would defiantly recommend Casey Vw and Subaru to anyone looking for a new or used car.All and all I would give Casey Vw and Subaru a 5 out of 5. best Dealership in the Newport News area.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!I came here to buy a Volkswagen jetta. The entire experience was hell. I ended up making 5 visits because they didn't believe my income. I brought all the paper work needed and they wanted more. I was pushed around from sales person I sales person. Every time I went I was with someone new. No one knew what they were even doing. I was told the car would be in the shop for 2 days... 3 weeks later still not out. When it gets out and I'm ready to get it. They want another pay stub. I get paid monthly and it's directly deposited. I have them my tax papers and remittance. Still want more. I wouldn't come here if it was the last dealership in the world.

Went in to Test drive a Tiguan or something similar and to see my finance options. I specifically asked for a base model which runs at around 21,000-23,000. After cryptically telling me that they would find my perfect car they began to look for a loan on my behalf from one of their finance company partners. After a long wait, which is typical of sleazy car dealerships they came back and said that I needed a co-signer, I asked them what the total amount of loan they were asking for was. They didn't answer directly, gave a lot of random generalities about finance (I have a degree in economics so I spotted the wall of bovine manure) After a bit of yelling and demanding that they stop being too clever for their own good. They fessed up that they were trying to secure a $33,000 loan. Enraged I asked them why on earth would they try to go so much above what I asked for, they replied that they didn't have a base model and only the higher end model with lots of options I didn't want loaded. So I told them that their correct response should have been: "Sorry we don't have the car you want, would you like one for 10 grand more?" to which I would have said no. But instead they made upwards of 6 credit inquiries on my behalf, without even telling me what was going on. The level deception was overwhelming, these people make the mafia seem saintly. I walked out in disgust. And to boot, they have bibles sitting behind the desk and say a lot of sweet christ phrases, I assume to instill a sense of "we are too godly to be charlatans" Stay the hell away from this dealership, they are dishonest, pushy and slimy.

As the other people in the reviews have mentioned, this dealership is incredibly terrible and "suave". They will force you to purchase at outrageous prices; its like they don't even understand customer service. Even after several walk-outs they still gave us BS prices and interesting haggling. I truly believe that the only reason this place is still in business is that because it is one of the few VW dealerships around. If it weren't, it would have easily gone under. DO NOT COME HERE TO PURCHASE A VW. It is not worth the stress and the lopsided haggling. The manager we were with gave us a scornful look, as we were a family shopping for cars. I cannot stress it enough, this place is terrible with customers and terrible with prices.

These gentleman are the typical used salesman stereotypes. I'll be the first to say that it's an unfair shake to approach anybody under the assumption that they are malicious with intent.Over all I received a fairly decent deal but the haggle took two walk outs before several lies finalized the circumstance. Initially, the walk outs weren't based on poor performance. I simply stated that their offers weren't realistic. In the end, I did some math and realized that moving over to a TDI saved my family much more in the long haul than holding out for the ultimate deal. According to my own research the deal is certainly fair in that their hopes are to make up the difference with the sale of my trade in. The problem is how they approached the value of my trade and how that coincides with the poor communication and customer service issues that have ensued. It's the little things that count.Anyways, good business is predicated with honesty and mutual agreements. The aforementioned are inherent to residual sales volumes which is the staple to any retail store. In the end there's a few things that lead to my distaste for their tactics and character:1) My door was chipped prior to a test drive. They promised it would be fixed and I'm still dancing in circles on that2) I replaced my factory wheels only to pick it up my car with the wrong wheel set. They have yet to admit they ordered the wrong wheel or help reconcile the poor handling of the sale. They simple tell me that despite VW's ads showing the wheel set I prefer on sale, that it must be a misprint and doesn't actually exist.3) They lied about my trade in and purported that it would be auctioned. Again, I'm certainly ok with the deal I received and I certainly understand business decisions and logistics. Selling through auction vs. lot certainly lowers the immediate value. Giving erroneous information about dealership practices so an extra couple grande is made with a direct sale ultimately hurts the status of the dealership name and curbs future sales.4) Poor customer service after the sale lead to an interior that was not washed or detailed and a staff that was suddenly very difficult to deal with. 5) I was only offered excuses as to why they couldn't do something as simple as remove a horn chirp from 2012 Jetta alarm.6) Upon mentioning any of the above I was greeted with a sincere "Oh really?! We'll get that fixed!" But when my car is returned nothing has been done. Specifically, each time I show up(whether to grab plates or fix paper work they fudged) they act as if the chip in the door is the first time it's been brought to their attention and it must be verified that I'm not lieing about their promise to fix it.7) When asking about their white lie they refuse to admit it was a poor tactic and swear my car is only worth $2k and therefore I received WELL above what I should have. Then they justified their actions stating that $3k of work was into it before it was decent for the lot and were therefore still losing money; despite noting that KBB and several other sources place it at a value of ~$9k. "Oh, those are all wrong" When I asked about the $3k worth of work they mentioned that valve cover seals were replaced. So what about the other $2.7k worth of work? If anybody prefers, it's for sale at ~$10k now. It needs drive shafts, has half of a lowering spring kit since they wouldn't let me finish removing it, the transmission will go out at 150k and the suspension itself probably needs replacing but because it's a 2004 Grand Prix GTP Competition Group Package you'll have a hard time finding the GMPP parts. On the plus side, it's been sound deadened some and is prewired for a decent audio system. For some reason though, there's a slight short in the ignition ever since it came back from a dealership inspection while in Idaho. *shrug* Hope it holds out.7) The only gentleman I wanted to deal with, named "Yossi", was fired. He literally saved the sale. He was honest and much more forthright about business matters. I'm not sure if he missed a meeting or two but he was certainly the bright spot in regard to business etiquette. The rest of the group amounts to the same trash that's purported throughout media outlets.Over all, whether my vehicle is worth something or not isn't the issue. Don't tell me it's not worth anything and attempt to sell it to an unknowing individual as if it is. That's poor character. In addition, back up bold salesman claims with better customer support. Don't blame me when you make promises you can't keep or write out the wrong order for accessories.

First off the person who wrote the long review is correct. Casey will jerk you around like no other and lie. My story is I made an inquiry over the internet for a 2012 Jetta TDI Prem w/Nav. They are invoiced for 26K plus taxes. They offered me 22K out the door and schedule a time to come look at it. I made an appointment with them and they confirmed it was being held just for me. My wife arrives before me and they tell her it is there and to look around for other ones. Yellow flag there. I arrive and Amir comes running out of the dealership and tells me there is an emergency and he can't help me. I was told to talk to the sales manager Travis. Yellow flag number 2. Turns out the TDI was not there and it was supposedly sold early in the week. Travis knew this right off his head without looking at the computer, I highly doubt it. His excuse was that they had a special from VW and they could sell it really cheap. Yellow Flag Number 3. They tried to sell me a used VW for 23,500 without even lowering the price because they bought it for this price. I highly doubt they bought the car for 23,500 and I wouldn't pay that much for a used car. Next we tried for another car there with the same options and automatic and he wouldn't budge past 500 below invoice. The sob story of we pay this much and can't go lower is total BS. It's the same story through out all dealerships. Essentially they are trying to make the most $$ out of anyone and are not customer service oriented. Recommend avoiding this dealership at all cost as it will be a waste of your time and money. Trust me.

Sales guy we worked with Ahmir was good and we were treated well but a couple weeks later when they still had not paid off my trade in and they went through VW to finance with when Steve Jernigan told me over and over it would be financed with my bank. He is a liar.

I brought my 01 Passat in for diagnostic and was told I needed a new Alternator and Battery. I had to agree not being a mechanic. A few hours later a coworker of mine suggested to have them change the belt as well since the alternator was being removed. I think that is something they should have suggested. I wonder why they didn't, hmmmmm!! When I went to pick up my car, after having paid a whopping $950.00, I asked if I received a courtesy wash. The technician stated I received the wash, but laughed when I asked if the car was vacuumed. I also asked if the liquid levels were checked. He said they were. When I got home, I checked the engine compartment to admire the shiney new alternator and new belt. Then I noticed the coolant level was below minimum, so I topped it off. I checked the other liquids, and they too needed topping off! I took a look at the invoice, and noticed it said that a courtesy wash AND vacuum were performed. Not quite.So, I paid almost a thousand dollars for an alternator, belt and battery. The liquid levels were not checked and the car was not vacuumed as they state it would be. I'm not sure if I could trust them to do major repairs if they cannot follow their own rules.

I just had the over all feeling of taken advantage of everytime I took my car in with some small problems after the sell. I felt like they were always making fun of the customer, also the manager did some in approiate things talking me into buying the car even though he was clearly married, I guess the dealership and all Caseys dealerships are all the same, thats why I vowed to never deal with them again.BEWARE they will do anything to sell a car, and when I do mean anything.

Big Memorial Day sale. Contacted dealership looking for a Jetta Sportwagen, TDI trim. After a couple back and forth phone calls "one" arrived on the truck the night before (yellow warning flag). Went and test drove the car - car sells itself ... A++ ratings on the car. Wanted to see if wife's preferred color choice was available, sales Mgr hm hawed around about how hard it was going to be, the expense to deliver, passing the additional expense on to us, yada yada yada (Yellow warning flag) I was happy with the car, the options and the color. The color was wife's #2 selection - so on to price. USAA (thru Zag) said I should pay $27,814, dealer wouldn't budge off $500 over invoice.The funniest comment was when the Sales Manager told me he would sell that car tomorrow for $5K over invoice. I told him if he felt that he could do that, then have at it. Then he denied saying it and then he admitted to saying it .. and then he apologized for saying it. (first red warning flag)After some discussion (at 855pm .. closing time), I made the comment to split the difference and we would continue the process the next day as it was late and I didn't want to fool around with the process any longer. Next day the new sales manager insisted on the over invoice price ($28,813). They ran credit - wife/my credit scores were both over 800 - should qualify for a good interest rate ... nope - offered 2.9 or 3.9. Umm, VW has a sale right now with 1.9%, why do they want more? (because they make more money - another red warning flag). Me and wife thought about it and were willing to go through with the deal if a couple options were included (i.e. floor mats, wash, full tank, etc) .. in the end, we walked away from the deal because they wouldn't toss in a set of custom floor mats - they wanted us to pay their cost vs. retail. Next day - the original sales manager calls the house "hey, what happened? I thought we had a deal, I want to sell you this car, will do what is required to get you in the car, yada yada yada" I informed him that I wasn't happy with the sales price, all the extra expenses added in (i.e. business license tax - why am I paying their business license tax?), the $498 processing fee, (already paying a $770 destination fee). Also told him I felt like I was being jerked around because I told the salesman, if your sales manager doesn't agree to my requests, I am walking out the door.If the overall process is like this - what should I expect with service after the sale? Seriously, if the sales process is so jacked up, what will service be like?He offered to do the $500 over invoice ($28,813) and throw in floor mats. That price is still $1K over the recommended sales price through zag. I told him I would consider his offer and think about it and would let him.Called back the next day to inform him of our decision (which was if they lowered the interest rate, reduced the price by $500, we would bring down the $10K down payment and drive away with the car) .. as soon as he answered the phone, he wasn't cheerful and seemed despondent to the phone call. I decided at that moment, I wasn't buying the car from them and would try my options with the other VW dealerships in the area (there are 4 within in an hour).When I informed him of this decision, he didn't even inquire as to why, just said, "if we can be of any assistance in the future, let me know". Obviously, they aren't interested in selling a car .. they are only interested in getting the most $$ they can while wasting customer's time. The longer the review, the more accurate and passionate the reviewer is about the business. I stay away from small short reviews and Casey Auto Group has a couple reviews like that on the net ... so maybe it is their employees giving good ratings to increase their standing. Don't know -- YOU decided, I made my decision and that is not to do a sale with Casey VW / Casey Auto Group.

We took our VW in for a tuneup. When we picked it up, we couldn't drive it out of the parking lot before it died. They worked on it 4 times and never got it fixed and then said that they had done enough and we should live with it. Each time they worked on it, they continued to charge us even when they admitted their own mistake - like "wrong sparkplugs." We took it elsewhere and found other VW dealers that were more honest.
