There are no asterisks limiting the Wrangler 4xe PHEV's ability to do what the Wrangler was designed to, namely tackle rough terrain and induce smiles; consider the improved efficiency and green awareness a bonus. The new 4xe comes only in the four-door configuration, so there's no choosing the more compact two-door Wrangler if you want hybrid power under the stubby hood.
